"How old is this guy?" Joseph asked, not liking the sound of this guy already. "He's twenty-three." Sona said, with a straight face. Asia and Joseph both got a disgusted look on their faces. "How old is Rias?" Asia asked knowing she wouldn't like the answer. Before Sona could answer Joseph chimed in. "She's eighteen. I've seen her and Sona in the third-year hallway. I'm so glad that I've never had to deal with an arranged marriage." Joseph said, looking up at the ceiling, sighing.

"Well that's the situation." Sona said after sipping on some tea she had. "Take us to Rias. I wanna get this out of the way and after the mess I caused I don't think she's gonna want me over there without an escort." Joseph said with an awkward face. "Yeah thanks for that by the way I had to hear an ear full from Rias." Sona walked from behind the desk to Joseph and Asia. "Let's go see Rias, Tsubaki come with us." Sona ordered. "Yes President." Tsubaki said with a bow.

"Everyone else stay here Joseph, Asia, we're going to teleport there." Joseph stood next to Sona seeing how short she truly was compared to him. "You know Sona you're pretty cute from up here." Joseph said, trying to get a reaction out of Sona instead he noticed Sajis energy changed from a fearful one to a hostile one. Seeing this Joseph smiled at Saji. "We're gonna have to train together, Saji my fellow dragon." Joseph smiled wickedly. Sona, noticing the situation, quickly forms the magic circle while Asia pouts angrily at Joseph. Pinching his arm before teleporting.

Scene Switch : O.R.C. main room

"Kiba, Koneko, good job with your contracts this week. Akeno you to-." Rias says before stopping herself seeing the symbol for The House of Sitri appear before her and her peerage. "Get in position everyone." Rias said, having Akeno right next to her and having Kiba and Koneko on the left and right side of the room respectively. Then with a flash of brilliant blue light she sees four figures.

Once the light dimmed Rias immediately stood up. "What the hell are you doing here!?" She said, pointing her finger at Joseph. Immediately Rias and her peerage go on guard. Joseph raised his hands in an surrendering way to show he meant no harm. "Woah, woah, calm down I'm not here to fight this time I promise." He said with a smile. Rias didn't believe him for a second. She looked at Sona expecting an answer. "Don't worry Rias, he's not here to cause trouble. I'll vouch for him." Sona said, in her usual calm tone.

Rias eyed Joseph warily but then walked over to the couch on her left and sat down offering them a seat on the opposite couch with a hand Asia, and then Joseph sat down. Tsubaki, being Sona's queen, stood behind the couch and by extension Sona herself. "So what's with the sudden visit I'm guessing it's not to apologize." Rais said, looking directly at Joseph. "You broke into my house, what did you expect?" Joseph said nonchalantly. "No we're not here for that Rias. However, it wouldn't hurt." Sona said, crossing her legs as she got comfortable. Akeno comes into the room and serves tea to the ORC's guests and Rias.

Asia and Sona grab a cup, sipping the tea and seemingly enjoying it. Joseph however, Didn't touch it, rather he looked at the tea with animosity. "I'm not drinking a crows tea." He thought to himself remaining in the same spot not moving. "So what are you here for?" Rias asked before sipping her tea. "It's about your situation with Riser." Sona said bluntly. making Rias choke on her tea making her cough, after she was done with her coughing fit she finally gets out a sentence.

"Please don't tell me you want Joseph to join my peerage. Sona we've talked about this he's a homicidal maniac! He's just going to go rogue and kill everyone!" Rias said all of this with Joseph being in the same room. Joseph glared at Rias but then softened his look and leaned back on the couch with his hands on his head. Draig started laughing in his head. With an exhale Joseph spoke "I can't really tell you that you're wrong." he said, stretching out his legs and crossing them over each other.

Asia glares at Joseph. "Could you please try to be nice, Joseph?" "Hey, I am being nice. It's just the truth, Rias knows." Joseph says this while putting his feet on the table, this action makes Rias tense up with anger. "Either way it's a no, he is just too much work. He's a pain in the ass, he is a bloodthirsty killer who only thinks about fighting, he doesn't listen, he is petty and lastly he is a person I would never allow under the Gremory name." Rias complains about Joseph and his behavior, Sona starts sweating before going to speak in a calm voice. "Rias you should know by now, you can't beat Riser." "What she is saying, Gremory brat, is that you have no choice. You need someone to help you, so let's make a deal?" Asia stares at Joseph in a pouting way, in her eyes Joseph is being rude when she asked for him to be nice.

Joseph continues, "This girl right here named Asia and I will join your peerage, in return we follow this contract idea. We will be employees not slaves, this means we will follow orders that we feel are fair unlike your slaves." Joseph says while pointing at Akeno and Kiba. "If that's all then we are done here, I wi-" "Shut up and let me finish. I know that if I'm always disrespectful it's gonna cause problems so I'll tone it down however, if someone starts it that's a different story. So are we in agreement about this?" Joseph said, taking his feet off of the table and sitting up straight, looking Rias directly in her eyes.

Rias looked at Joseph and then to Sona weighing her options then spoke. "As long as you stop being disrespectful to everyone here and you leave your hatred for Fallen Angels at the door." Joseph looked at her then looked down. "Leave my hatred at the door, huh, well I don't know how easy that's gonna be, but if I'm going to be working with them I guess it's better to be cooperative then not be." looking back up Joseph spoke. "Alright I'll keep it in check. Let's make a contract and get this underway.

Having said that Rias, Sona, Joseph spent some time going over the contract writing it exactly the way Joseph wanted asking Asia for anything she wanted. All she said was that she's fine with everything Joseph said. Then Joseph, Asia, and Rias all signed the paper finishing the contract. Then Rias got up and went over to her desk and took out nine red chess pieces. "These are evil pieces, These are what turn humans into Devils." picking the red Bishop up. "This Bishop I'm giving to you Asia has the power to boost your magic." Setting the Bishop down she picked up one of the eight red Pawns and looked at Joseph. "I'll be giving you the power of the Pawn Joseph." "Interesting, let me guess it has the power to change into the other pieces and get their abilities."

Rias looked a little surprised. "You've played chess before, haven't you?" Rias said with a smile hoping she had someone new to play with. "Yes I have, I'm not going to say I'm the best but it's not like I can't take pieces." Joseph said, with a confident smirk. "So what are the other pieces' abilities?" Joseph asked, immensely interested. "The Rook piece is capable of giving the reincarnated Devil boosted defense and strength. Koneko is our Rook. Then we have the Knight which boosts the speed of a reincarnated Devil immensely. Kiba is our resident Knight. Now last but certainly not least we have the Queen which has the abilities of all the other pieces. Akeno is the Queen of this peerage."

Joseph analyzed all the information and smiled. "All the possible combos and fighting techniques that could be enhanced with the Knight alone is astounding. My Wing-chun would be damn near unstoppable. Not to mention the grappling techniques that would be even more dangerous with the Rook." Joseph thought to himself excitedly, wanting to get training immediately. "There's gotta be a catch and I'm guessing it's that the Pawn can't change pieces once it's been chosen just like in the game."

"Correct, it would be too strong if you could just change whenever you wanted." Rias said, seeing how excited Joseph is hoping this was a good idea. "Yeah it would be too powerful especially in my hands, well let's start what process you have for this." Joseph said, wanting to get this over with so he can train and push himself to his limits.

Rias stood up. "Well since I still have the Pawn in my hand let's start with you Joseph." Rias said building magic energy in her to start the process of turning Joseph into a devil. Joseph stood up and saw all the Pawns started floating around him and glowing red making him flash a semi-crazed smile. "In the name of Rias Gremory and the House of Gremory I call to you Joseph Smith! Become my Pawn and serve me!"

In response Joseph summoned his boosted gear in brilliant red light. "I, Joseph Smith, the current Red Dragon Emperor of this generation, accept the role and power as the Pawn of Rias Gremory!" Within moments Joseph is engulfed in a crimson light. As the light died down Joseph felt his body surge with power feeling stronger than before. "And with this power boost I'm now a high class being." he thought as he smiled in a wicked and crazed way, tensing his muscles and feeling the power inside and unleashing it in a controlled aura wave. Walking to the empty space where they teleported, Joseph started shadow boxing.

Everyone in the room felt the power in the punches making everyone sweat just a bit then unexpectedly Joseph shouted. "Promotion to Knight!" Joseph changed into a Knight then changed his stance into one of Wing-chun then started throwing punches so fast that no one, not even Joseph could keep up with. After the wind Joseph made died down. Joseph had a smile filled with bloodlust and with a terrifying look in his eyes finally spoke creating a massive wave of aura engulfing him. "FUUUCKK YEEEAAAH!"

After he was done freaking out Joseph struggled to calm himself down he was still huffing and puffing his mind racing with all the possibilities. With his voice shaking from his excitement Joseph finally spoke. "This was the best decision I've ever made." he said as he clenched his fist. "I'm glad you like the new power and body Joseph but could you tone down your aura? Not everyone is able to breathe." Rias said, making Joseph turn his head to see everyone except Rias and Sona on the ground struggling to catch their breath. "SHIT! My bad!" Joseph then toned down his power to normal levels.

He went over to Asia and helped her up. "I'm sorry everyone, I got a little excited." he said, sheepishly. "Are you okay Asia?" He said gently as he helped her sit down on the couch. After catching her breath she spoke. "Yes I'm fine now thank you for helping me Joseph." Everyone seeing this display of affection from Joseph was surprised. "It seems he's more than an asshole." Kiba thought to himself as he got up off the floor.

"I guess monsters have feelings too." Thought Koneko with a neutral face, not showing her true feelings. Akeno and Tsubaki then stood up, gave each other a look and got closer to their Kings. "I can't help but feel bad for Riser. Josephs going to put him through hell." Sona thought to herself amused, she then saw Tsubaki and Akeno move so they could be closer to their Kings. "They must be worried about us after Joseph didn't hide his bloodlust. Whether Joseph knows it or not he showed his domination over everyone. He truly lives up to his moniker." Sona then grabbed her tea cup and took a sip.

"Riser doesn't know how much trouble he's in when he sees Joseph." Thought Rias. She then picked up the bishop and started building magic again. "So Asia, are you ready to receive your evil piece?" Rias asked with a smile. "Yes I am Rias." Asia stood up and prepared herself. "In the name of Rias Gremory and The House of Gremory I call to you Asia Argento! Become my Bishop and serve me!" "Yes I Asia Argento will become your Bishop and serve you!" And with that declaration Asia was enveloped in a crimson light.

The light dimmed all that left was Asia. "So how do you feel Asia?" Rias asked, sitting back down crossing her legs and grabbing her tea to sip. "I felt a big increase in my magic just now so I feel as if I could pick up Joseph." After saying that Asia raised her arms and flexed.

Everyone chuckled at Asia's antics. "Well now that you two are a part of my peerage you shouldn't have problems joining the O.R.C." "Okay, sounds fun!" Asia said happily. Everyone then turned to Joseph. "Sure it gives me something to do other than train, speaking of which I need to do that." Joseph then turned on his heel and walked out the room. Everyone stood there dumbfounded that he just left. "Well I suppose I should head back to the student council room and let my peerage know what happend." Sona then finished her tea and walked over the open space and summoned a teleportation circle. Tsubaki followed her as they both turned around and Sona spoke. "Thanks for the tea Akeno and you're welcome for the new pieces Rias."

Akeno bowed and Rias stood up. "Thank you Sona, we'll see you tomorrow." Sona and Tsubaki waved goodbye as they teleported away. Rias turned to Asia. "So you want to go home? I can take you there since Joseph isn't here." "No not right now I want to spend more time here to get to know everyone more." Asia said with a kind smile.

Scene Switch: Joseph's POV.

"You do know you left Asia over there partner." "Yea I know but she'll be fine she's with the others plus they like her so it's not a problem." "It's almost as if you know they dont like you" "Ha ha Draig, of course they don't like me. I threw one of their couches out the window and hurt them. It's going to take a while before they trust me, let alone like me. You saw how their Queen's got defensive. They don't trust me at all and I don't blame them."

"Is that remorse I hear in your voice partner?" "Maybe? I don't know. I made them feel so small and insignificant and they still accepted me. Either they're really desperate or they're all just that kind." "Partner we are beings destined for greatness. We are Dragons no matter what we do or what we say everyone no matter what will be afraid of us and that reasoning alone is why there aren't that many dragons in the mortal world anymore. The Church and Asclon made sure of that."

"I Suppose you're right Draig. I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up with Asia then." Joseph said, a little dejected. "That's not I meant you dumbass all I'm saying is to watch out for it. Not everyone in the world is the same. You taught me that partner. So don't be disheartened and get yourself some pussy!" Draig said, shouting so his partner would stop acting like a bitch. Joseph laughed, finally being in a better mood. "Thanks Draig. Alright let's go run around Kuoh."

After running around the entirety of Kuoh it was finally night and Joseph at the entrance of the town saw the big field he saw when he first came to Kuoh. "I can see a lot more clearly than before. You think that's because of being a devil now?" "Most certainly partner, Devils are creatures of the night so like vampires they grow stronger at night." Draig said knowingly. "Hey Driag Devils have wings right?" "Yes they do, why?" "Well I've had this weird feeling ever since I released my aura. It felt like something was trying to push out too. That's why I came out here because if I had wings I wanted to test them out."

"To answer your question partner, yes, Devils have wings after all Lucifer the first devil in existence had wings." Joseph stood there thinking about Devils, Angels, and Fallen Angels then he finally spoke up. "Draig tell me if I'm wrong but aren't Devils and Fallen Angels just evolutions of Angels because Fallen Angels are the same as Angels except that they're a "regional variation" because their light is weaker and their colors are black instead of gold."

"And technically you could say the same thing for Devils except that instead of light they have demonic power which then manifested in different ways basically becoming the antithesis of holy power. Which would then make Devil's an evolutionary step forward. Of course the only reason why they lost their holy power is because of leaving God's "grace" so something had to fill the gap I suppose."

"Partner, that is a very dangerous line of thinking there. However, you would be technically correct." "Well enough of that science bullshit time to see my wings!" Joseph then released his aura in a controlled way letting it flow over him. He then felt the sensation again in his back. He focused on his back around his shoulder blades then he pushed outward. Feeling his wings be pushed out and feeling the cool night air on them made him feel great.

"I could get used to this feeling. I hope this is the same as using the dragon wings on my scale mail." "It's not going to be the same." "Then I guess I'll learn by trial and error." Joseph then launched into the air flapping his wings trying to get lift but then he fell straight down. "SHIT!" *THUD* Joseph struggled to get up but managed. "That was not supposed to happen." Joseph then looked at his wings for the first time. "No fucking wonder I fell theres nothing here to create lift with its all just bone, ligaments, and skin wings. How the hell do Devils fly?"

"By using magic not physics." Draig said dryly. "Fuck you! How was I supposed to know that!? I don't even know how to use magic!" "Of course you wouldn't, you barely have any magic!" Draig said in a huff. "Whatever Draig, maybe they're not extended fully!" Joseph said angrily. "I already knew that." Draig said this while waiting for Joseph to explode. "FUCK YOU, YOU SHITTY LIZARD!" Joseph exploded in rage for the dragon in his left arm. Draig laughed at Joseph's expense.

Ignoring Driag, Joseph fully extended his wings and took off, this time actually flying. "HA! I DID IT SUCK IT DRAIG!" Joseph said, having the wind fly through his hair. "I never doubted you for a minute, partner." Draig said admiring Joseph's enthusiasm for flying like every dragon had. Wishing he too could fly like he used to. Joseph then spent three hours in the air flying around Kuoh doing tricks, quick maneuvers, and most importantly learning to fight in the air which was a challenge. Considering he didn't know how to use magic to make himself stationary in the air.

So he stuck with swoop attacks and drive bys using his sword to cut through the air. "This would be a lot easier with a spear." "Too bad you don't have one partner, however you're doing very well at aerial combat. Did you finally get used to your new wings?" "Yes I did but now my wings are tired and so am I. Let's head home, Draig." "Alright partner."
