(White hallway)
"Grandfather!" A 6 year old girl with white hair held in a ponytail with a tiara hairpiece ran down a white hallway wearing little blue dress with a white collar shirt and long sleeves, white tights, and little blue shoes. "Grandfather!" she ran up to a tall muscular man with lush white hair and beard. He wears full armor over a black shirt and pants, he also wears a red fur trimmed cloak. He turns and smile as the girl beams in joy "Grandfather!" the girl lunge for him.
"Oof! Careful my little princess, a little more strength than you might put this old man on his back." The Grandfather laughed as he lift the little girl much to her giggling delight "What got you so excited Weiss."
The little girl whose now revealed to be Weiss smiles "You know what Grandfather!" little Weiss says smiling at her Grandfather "I made a friend!".
"Oh! Did you now?" As he saw her nod he smiles "So who is this friend?" Weiss smiles as she pulled out a small rat much to the Grandfather's surprise, he knew his fool of a son in law would keep Weiss from leaving the estate, even her education is solely through the fools screening if it wasn't because he has more business sense than him and was such a hard worker he would have fired him and kicked him out of his home, the Grandfather reeled in his grimace before smiling at his little princess "And what might our little friends name be?".
"His name is mister Nibblton von Heinrich Benjamin Glavon the third!" Weiss says proudly while her Grandfather sweatdropped over the fancy name "But he prefers Nibbles." getting him to chuckle at the cute display as Weiss cuddled with the rat.
(In a dark room)
Weiss held onto Winter's hand as she watched her mother broke down in tears as laying in the coffin is her Grandfather donned in his armored as he laid in a bed of flowers in the coffin "Winter is Grandfather sleeping?" Winter is a little older than Weiss with the same white hair and blue eyes like her sister but her hair is held up by a bun with her bang combed left, wearing a white buttoned shirt tucked into her blue dress and she wore a pair of white socks in black dress shoes. She didn't say anything but held her sisters hand tightly as Weiss looked down "Will Grandfather wake up?".
"No Weiss he won't…" Winter choked out as Weiss held on tighter.
(A White bedroom)
Weiss is searching her room looking for something that is missing "Nibbles where are you?" Weiss sat on her bed feeling lonely "Where are you?".
"Miss Schnee?" Weiss looked up as one of the servants walked in "I'm afraid to say that your father has found out about Nibbles and asked us to... vacate him from the premises." Weiss just looked stunned "He also hired someone to help with your manners…." not hearing anything from the young miss the servant bowed as they left Weiss in her empty room.
Weiss just sat there not making a sound as tears fall from her face.

(Present day Beacon dorms)
Weiss stirred awake as she sits up and as she stretched her arms with a yawn PWEEE! into a scream as a whistle was blown into her ear causing her to fall off her bed.
"Good morning! Team RWBY!" Ruby announced now wearing the beacon uniform which is a
plaid skirt, black stockings in brown shoes, and a brown jacket with a tan vest and white shirt with a red ribbon tied at the collar. She's also wearing her signature hood around her neck.
"What in the world is wrong with you!?" Weiss snaps as she shakes off the ringing in her ears as she gave Ruby an angry glare before noticing she and the others are wearing their uniforms the only difference is they wear different length socks with Yang's socks goes up to her upper thigh while Blake's is below her knee 'How early did they wake up?' Weiss wondered as she got off the ground.
Ruby ignoring Weiss's question looked to her team "Now that you're awake, we can officially begin our first order of business." she put her hands on her hip to show off her "authority" but ends up looking a little childish instead.
Weiss dust off her pajama after her unceremonious wake up call "Excuse me?" she raised her brow at her supposed leader.
"Decoration!" Yang piped up as out of nowhere she held up a collection of things she brought with her.
"What?" Weiss then notice Blake making her way to her bed and held up a suitcase.
"We still need to unpack." right as Blake says that the suitcase fall open causing her clothes to fall out "Aaand clean…" Blake finished blankly as she looked at her now piled clothes.
Yang set her things aside as she helps her partner pick up her clothes "After last night we didn't have time to do it earlier so we figured why not now?" she says before picking up a sexy pair of lace pantie "Wow!" a red faced Blake swiped the panties back from Yang who gave a teasing smile "Was that for someone special?" Yang teased while Blake ignores her.
Weiss just stared unimpressed by the whole thing as she watched the two PWEE! Weiss covered her ears again as she fell back to the floor "Aaaalright! Weiss, Blake, Yang, and their fearless leader Ruby have begun their first mission!" she then raised her fist in the air "Banzai!" she shouts with Yang and Blake joining in.
Ruby's smile stops as Weiss stood back up glaring at a now sheepish Ruby who hid her whistle behind her "I'm going to wash up than we're gonna talk about the whistle Ruby." she stomps to their shared bathroom.
"I think Weiss is angry with me…." Ruby says sheepishly to her sister.
"I did say she won't be happy." Yang shrugs as she went about unpacking their things.
(Across the room)
"ZZZzzz Meat ZzzzZ" "-Wake up!-" Bonk! Luffy's eyes flutter open as he sits up with a bump on his head "What's going on?" he yawned as he rubs his eyes.
"How long are you going to sleep?" Nami asked she's wearing her Beacon uniform only she's wearing ankle socks instead "Hurry up and get dressed so we can get our things in order.".
Luffy yawns as he got off his bed and pulling out a fish on a stick from his pocket and starts munching on it only to get smacked in the head by Nami "Stop eating and get dressed!".
On the other side Ussop who's already awake wore the male Beacon uniform that being consisted of a black suit lined with gold, accompanied by a blue vest and a white shirt with a red tie and black shoes. He still wore his bandanna with his goggles over it, he sighs "Isn't it too early for this?" the door next to him opened as he glance at a yawning Zoro now wearing the same uniform with his dark green bandanna tied to his left bicep, and without a tie with his collar unbuttoned "Took your time huh?".
Zoro groaned as he rubbed his eyes awake "The tie was a pain to put on." he says as he readjust his suit jacket "I prefer looser clothes, these are kinda constrictive." he grunts.
"Hurry up and get dressed!" Luffy flew past Zoro and Ussop as they look inside to see dizzy Luffy laying on the floor with his uniform littered around him, they then look to a panting Nami giving the two a glare causing them to sweatdrop.
Nami sighs "Why am I stuck with a literal child for a leader?" she laments as she held her head in frustration.
"Now now, it could be worst, right? I mean at least he isn't some douche right?" Ussop offers but gulps when she glares at him.
Zoro sighs "You won't have to worry about Luffy." Nami and Ussop looked to him to elaborate "He might be an idiot, and a glutton, and will cause as much trouble as he brings it." he sweatdropped at the flat stares of the two "But you can always count on him when you need him. If any of us are in trouble he will do everything in his power to get us out, even if he puts himself in danger to do it." Zoro gave the two a smile.
Ussop might not see how someone so hardened can follow someone so goofy but the level of respect got him to nod, Nami on the other hand was put off about the reach that Zoro claims her leader will go through to save them but she scoffs 'I won't hold my breath, not even a Huntsman would help, not unless they get paid.' Nami grimace at that thought.
A crashing sound followed by a splash can be heard from the bathroom "I'm okay!" Luffy shouts out and after some rummaging sound followed by silent, Luffy walks out wearing his uniform with his tie being loose and rolling his pant leg up to his knees and forgoing the shoes for his regular sandals "Mmm… It's kinda tight..oh well." Luffy shrugs as he place his straw hat on his head "So whats up?".
Before Nami could say something she was interrupted by a loud rummaging sound from their door followed by what sounds like construction noises and then abruptly going silent "Okay now that we are all dressed up we should head to class but thanks to sleepy head there we have wasted a lot of time." she pulled out the academy schedule "We should get to our first class at-" "WHAT? What did you say! 9 o'clock!?" the shout cut her off as she whipped her head to the clock.
"It's 8.55 you dunce!" shout followed by a door slamming open and a rush of footprints followed by another couple more footprints.

"Lets get to class now!" Nami shouts out as she rushes out the door followed by the others.
"We're gonna be late!" Jaune who peaked out rush out with his team.
"Zoro not that way!" Ussop snapped as he run.
"Come on Ren we gotta over take them!" Nora whooped much to Ren's sigh.
"Luffy stop dragging me!" Zoro shouts out as he was dragged by the back of his collar while Luffy laughs.
As Ozpin along with Glynda were making their rounds they notice a ruckus ahead of them as they see Team RWBY, JNPR and MRUN racing down the hallway.
Weiss wearing her own uniform with her calf high socks, Pyrrha and Nora also wears their own uniform with Pyrrha wearing stockings while Nora wore short socks, Jaune and Ren also in uniform ran to catch up with the others.
Glynda was about to scold the kids for running in the hall but Ozpin held her back before she could "Come along Glynda the children are late enough, and I'm almost out of coffee." he says amused as he continue on his way much to an annoyed Glynda who gave a tired huff as she follows.
(Grimm Bestiary class)
"Good morning class I'm sure many of you came here to learn one thing." Port stood in front of his class as he pause for dramatic effect "To hun-" "Gomu Gomu no" "Mm?" Port quirked a brow at the sound of panic from the door to his lecture hall "Rocket!" a crash with the sound of screams can be heard as team RWBY, JNPR and MRUN flew into his class and lands by his feet.
"Hahahaha We made it!" Luffy laughs only to be knocked down by a couple of fists.
"ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL US!?" Nami, Ussop, Jaune, Weiss, Yang, Zoro and Ruby snapped.
"Sorry." Luffy mumbles as seven bumps formed on his head.
"I thought I saw my grandma for a second…" Blake mumbled shaking from the experience.
"Whoo! That was fun! Can we go again?" "-NO!" Nora sulks at being denied by the others before hearing a throat clearing under her?
"Nora. Can you get off?" Nora looked down to find she's straddling her childhood (sweet heart) friend who was red in his face.
Nora with a light blush hops off with a giggle "Sorry Renny." she helps her life partner as in they will always be partners just not that kinda life- I'm shutting up now.
"Ahem!" Port cleared his throat getting their attention as they realize where they are "It's good you could make it but may I suggest going to bed early so you won't oversleep and miss the first class?" he says as it got a few snickering at the tardy teams "Well at least you made it so find a seat so we can get this class on track."
After sheepishly apologizing as they get up and made it to the rows of seats with Team RWBY sat in the third row with Team MRUN sitting next to them with Team JNPR sitting one row below.
"Now then where was I?" Port stroked his mustache humming a bit before perking up "Ah! Yes, You came to learn how to hunt the beast of darkness GRIMM!" Port chuckles as he saw the excited looks of some students "But first allow me to introduce myself! I am Professor Peter Port! And I will be in charge of Grimms studies and I'll teach you the differing types of Grimms, their behavior, their habits and finally how to adapt when fighting them!" A loud clanging sound was heard as the class look to the cage next to his desk "Under supervision of course, Hohoho!".
While some students were a little nervous hearing that Jaune and Ussop being the worst as they flinch from another clanging sound from the cage.
"Well then! As you all well know about our enemy the Grimm, Monsters! Deeeemons... Prowlers of the night! Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names, but I merely refer to them as prey! Ha-ha!" he says pridefully but was met with silence at his terrible joke, Port cleared his throat again to get back to his lecture "Uhhhh... And you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy! Now, as I was saying: Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world! Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces! And that's where we come in. Huntsmen! Huntresses…" he winked at Yang who looked uncomfortable at him "Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves! From what, you ask? Why, the very world!" he spread his arms to emphasize his point.
"Ayyyy-yep!" A student at the back got everyone to turn to a random student who noticed he was being looked at strangely causing him to sheepishly to rub his head as he awkwardly sat down only to be slapped by his teammate.
After that awkward moment Port coughed into his fist "That is what you are training to become. But first: A story. A tale of a young, handsome man... Me! When I was a boy…" as he went off on his life story instantly got many students to tune him out.
Weiss who sit diligently taking notes having gone through grueling, mind numbing and monotonous lessons since she learned her alphabet, so she learned to take everything in and note everything, word for word, well she would if not for a slight snicker beside her as she watched Ruby scribbling something on her paper, Weiss looking annoyed as she force her attention back on Port who brought up something about smelling like cabbages?
Weiss shook off that weird statement as she tries to refocus on the rambling Professor, a few more snickers got her attention as she saw Ruby showing her picture to her team and to the one next to hers as she saw Nami, Ussop, Yang and Luffy snicker while Blake and Zoro smiled at what Ruby showed them. Ruby noticing Weiss looking at her and showed a childish doodle of Professor Port with stink lines with the word "Professor Poop" over it, Ruby blows a quick raspberry getting Yang, Blake, Ussop and Luffy to laugh while Nami covered her mouth chuckling while Zoro gave an amused huff, Weiss gave Ruby an annoyed look.
"Ah-heh-hem!" Both team looked back at Port who gave them a pointed look before going back to his story.
Weiss glares at Ruby "Stop messing around and pay attention!" Weiss quietly reprimanded her Leader who flinched before trying and failing to keep her attention on the lecture.
Port finished his story with a bow but only got one person to clap, a little disappointed he recomposed himself to continue his lecture while Weiss got more frustrated by Ruby's antics.
"The moral of this story? A true Huntsman must be honorable!" Ruby start to yawn as she starts to nod off.
"A true Huntsman must be dependable!" Ruby took a nap before jolting awake by Weiss elbowing her.
"A true Huntsman must be strategic, well-educated, and wise!" Ruby got bored again as she balanced her pencil between her nose and lip while making a silly face.
"So, who among you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?" Port questioned expectantly.
"I do sir!" Weiss instantly raised her hand startling Ruby who dropped her pencil as Weiss glares at her.
"Well, then, let's find out!" Port says jovially as he gesture the cage by his desk "Step forward, and face your opponent!" he says as the cage growls as glowing red eyes glare at the volunteered Huntress.
As Weiss got up and left to get her gear "Weiss you got this." she turned to Ruby who gave a reassuring smile, Weiss huffed angrily as she walks away which got Ruby confused as she turns to her team "You don't think she's still sore about the whole whistle thing, is she?" she asked her sister who shrugs.
Zoro who was taking a nap during the professor's rambling stories looked where Weiss went but gave a huff 'Hope she's not in over her head.'.
(Beacon Locker room.)
As Weiss changed into her Huntress gear she can't help but remember her past.
(Seven years ago Atlas)
A young Weiss now wearing a white puff short sleeved buttoned shirt that is tucked in a blue pleated skirt, she wore a blue ribbon tie with a ruby pin on it and she wore short white socks in black Mary Janes.
Weiss sat on the table with her brother Whitley who like her has white hair and blue eyes wearing a white short sleeved shirt with a his own ribbon tie tucked in a blue dress pants and dress shoes.
He sat patiently not making any noise, Weiss wanted to talk to him but her Father would always take her away to study or practice her singing leaving her little to no time to herself except to eat or sleep, Winter on the other hand would be the only one who could take her away from her father, Winter is trying to cheer her up but a loud shout drowned her out.
"It's your own daughter's birthday and you're not even going to attend?!" a shadow of her mother is seen through the hallway.
"I don't have time to waste on such trivial matters where I have an entire empire to improve now that the old fool is gone." a cold voice spoke out as a shadow of her father is seen faced away from her mother.
"Trivial?! She's you're daughter?! What do you even think of your family!?" her mothers shadow grabbed her father shadow only for her father to slap her much to her shock.
"What do I think of our family? Nothing more than an investment, the only reason I married you was to inherent this company and estate, I made this company, I made this empire, and it will be my children who will perfect my legacy." her father shadow left while her mother's just sat there in shock.
Weiss just sat there in stunned silence while Winter hugged her trying to comfort Weiss, what was suppose to be her happiest day was filled with Weiss's silently crying.
(Back to the Present)
Slam! Weiss closed her locker as she shuts her eyes as she calms herself with Myrtenaster at her side she march back into the room that was filled with cheers from her team and associates.
"Go Weiss!" Yang shouts out.
"Fight well!" Blake cheered waving a RWBY flag which she got from Ussop who was also doodling during class.
"Good luck!" Pyrrha waves.
"You got this Ice Queen!" Ussop waves his Captain Ussop flag in one hand while waving the RWBY flag in the other before stiffening a bit from her cold glare.
"Show em who's boss Wice!" Luffy hollered.
"Represent Team RWBY!" Ruby cheered.
"Ruby! I'm trying to focus! And my name is Weiss, Straw Hat!" Weiss snaps at both team leaders.
"Oh..Sorry.." Ruby reeled back from the response as her friends frowned a bit.
Luffy tilts his head "What's her problem?" looking confused rather than upset.
Zoro frowns as he noticed the harshness in Weiss's voice.
Weiss took a breath as she focus on the cage Professor Port brought out.
"Ahem!" Port gained the students attention as he looks around "Now normally I would let the Grimm out and have you all fight it out!" getting students like Nami, Jaune and Ussop to gulp in fear "But unfortunately due to the Board deeming it too unorthodox (Which is preposterous might I add) We will have the School head of security to make sure the lesson can be conducted. SAFELY!" Port shouts out indignantly while the nervous students sigh in relief.
"You don't have to shout mi Amigo Port!" A new voice got many students to look around in surprise before a flash of blue light got their attention as the light reforms into Bett "It's not my idea either." Bett shrugs nonchalantly "Usually I would make my grand entrance during Amigo Glynda's class but I guess I have no choice." he looks to the whole class "Greetings mi new Amigos! I'm the head of Security on Beacon Albett Azul! But mi Amigos call me Bett!".
Weiss who was confused as to how he appeared thinking it might be his semblance she shook her head and curtsied the new staff "I'm Weiss Schnee, it is a pleasure."
Bett smiles "Amimimimi! Why aren't we polite!" he then turns to the whole class "Well I don't want to waste time so it's time for mi to show what I can do!" he then waved his right arm out as a blue trail flows from his arms which then changed into a hard light keyboard "Encoder!" much to the shock of the class as he starts to type on the keyboard "Defense code: Dome!" as soon as he announce it a wall of blue light covered the class before condensing into a dome surrounding Weiss, Port and the Grimm cage.
"What just happened?" "Wasn't his semblance teleportation?" "Was that some kind of Dust?" were the many murmurs from the class, surprised by what Bett actually did.
"Cool! What was that?" Luffy leans forward before being yanked back by Zoro "Is it a mystery dome?".
"Obviously not you idiot." Zoro grumbled as he looks back to the dome "But it's obvious it isn't a Semblance or Dust.".
"Ohohohoho! Looks like they are surprised Bett." Port looks to his colleague who just smiles.
"Eh, I would to if I was them." Bett shrugs as he address the class "As you might notice what I did was completely strange no?" seeing some heads nodding he smiles he then notice Weiss with her hand up "Yes Amigo Weiss.".
Weiss ignored the strange word as she stood straight "Sir, I was under the impression that you might have hard light dust to form the dome but I have never seen someone do it by creating a holo keyboard, I heard of incorporating Dust lining into clothes but our technology only reached for warming and cooling systems, did you found a way to broaden the Dust cloth technology?" she asked as some students leaned closer thinking he found a way to further the use of Dust cloths.
"…...Nope!" Bett smiles as some students almost fall from their seats and sweatdropped at the eccentric head of security "I'm not smart enough to invent something like that or do I have the fingers to make it." before sighing "But for now what I did will be left until tomorrow." he than gave her a wink "Good luck mi Amigo." he starts to glow blue "Transfer." he than blink out of existence much to everyone's shock.
A clap got everyone's attention "Ohoho, Now that the stage is set, shall we Miss Schnee?" he asked getting Weiss to shook off her shock and gave Port a determined glare "Oho! Well then let us." he raised a blunderbuss like weapon by the barrel and on the stock are two axe blade on either side of the stock this was Peter's Blowhard "BEGIN!" he slash down on the lock causing the cage door to be flung open as a big but not giant Boarbatusk rushed out squealing around to then focus on Weiss.
Weiss seeing the Grimm charging in she pirouette around the Grimm and slash it as it charged by the Grimm galloped around and snarls at Weiss showing her slash was ineffective.
"Oho! Wasn't expecting that now were you?" Port says as he stood with his arms behind his back.
Ruby still wanting to be supportive "Hang in there Weiss!" she shouts out as Weiss using smaller Glyphs under her feet to glide towards the Grimm.
The Grimm charged towards Weiss and as she thrust Myrtenaster the Boarbatusk swung it's head knocking Weiss's weapon with it's tusk which it used to catch Weiss's Myrtenaster, Port raised his brow "Bold new approach. I LIKE IT!" he laughs heartily as Weiss struggle to pull her weapon back.
"Come on Wise show em who's boss!" Luffy cheered while Ruby cheered with him.
"WOULD YOU TWO SHUT U-" Weiss distraction cost her her weapon as the Boarbatusk flung Myrtenaster out of her hand as it clang behind it as it swung it's head knocking Weiss back.
"Oho! Now what will you do know without your weapon." Port asked.
Weiss grit her teeth in frustration hating herself for getting distracted "Weiss! Get up!" Zoro shouts out as Weiss looked up with wide eyes as the Grimm charged at her forcing her to push herself out of the way as the Grimm crash into the dome knocking it off it's feet, Weiss took this opportunity to get back on her feet and run to retrieve her weapon.
"Weiss aim for it's belly it doesn't have armo-" "STOP TELLING ME WHAT TO DO!" Ruby was stunned as Weiss snapped at her.
Luffy frowns but says nothing while Zoro sighs.
The Boarbatusk now fed up starts to roll in place as it swerved around and charges at Weiss who was also tired of this as she creates a blue Glyph in front of the rolling Grimm, with a smack the Grimm gave a surprised squeal as it lands on it's back, Weiss seeing an opportunity back flips on another blue Glyph that turned black she glares at the Grimm "Sorcery Glyph: Schwarzer-" She was then shot forward stabbing and dragging the squirming Grimm along "-Pfeil!".
"Bravo!" Port congratulate as a panting Weiss pulled Myrtenaster from the disintegrating Grimm as the dome around her starts to fade away "Bravo! It appears we are in the presence of a true Huntsmen in training." he praised as Weiss finally got her breath back she flicked her sword as she stood at attention "I'm afraid that is all the time we have for today." Port continues as Weiss glance at Ruby who looked hurt at her Weiss turned away as she saw herself sitting there with the same look "Be sure to cover the assign reading and remember, Stay vigilant." Port looked the whole class with a stern look before smiling "Class dismissed.".
Weiss narrowed her eyes knowing she didn't performed her best as she turns to leave.
"Sheesh what's with her?" Jaune says noticing Weiss's aggressive posture.
"Something annoying…" Zoro replied as he got up and left the class.
As the others looked to each other with concern Luffy in all his wisdom spoke up "Maybe she needs to poop." he said seriously only to get smacked in the head by Ussop and Nami as the rest sweatdropped well Ruby got up to leave.
(Schnee manor)
A young Weiss walked down the hall before standing in front of a door, Weiss looked nervously before swallowing down her nerves as she knocked on the door before waiting patiently.
"What is it." her fathers voice sounds out behind the door.
"Father I have finished my recital." Weiss spoke clearly hoping to actually get praised "It was a standing ovation and I was giving a-" "Stop prattling on about your silly concert." her father cut her off she looks down.
"Did any investor talked to you?".
Weiss looked up smiling "Yes! I mean yes his name is Gordon and he asked if I could attend Elegia-" "Worthless it's just a start up, no connection, no investors, no money and reputation is non-existant." she was cut off again as her father voice sounds aggravated "Decline it Weiss and continue your studies.".
"Yes father." Weiss bowed as she turns to walk away.
"I knew teaching her to sing is a waste of time." Weiss gripped her hands as she walked down the empty hallway.
(Beacon hallways)
"Weiss!" Weiss opened her eyes as she turns around to see Ruby to round the corner noticing her and rushing up to her.
"What!?" Weiss snaps stopping Ruby from running closer.
"What's wrong with you?" Ruby asked "Why are you being so mea-" "What's wrong with me!?" Weiss snaps as she marches up to Ruby.
"What's wrong with you!" Weiss jabs Ruby in the chest causing her to step back as Weiss glares "You're suppose to be a leader but all you've been so far is a nuisance!".
Ruby looked confused and a bit hurt "What did I do?".
"That's just it! You've done nothing to earn your position!" Weiss starts to march up to Ruby who steps back every time she got closer "All you've done is goof around, you've almost got us late, you trying to deafen me with that whistle and back at the forest all you've done is act like a child and you continue to do so!".
"Weiss where is this coming from?" Ruby starts to step forward still confused "What happened to all that talk about, working together?" Ruby looked into Weiss's eyes hoping to see something "I thought you believed in acting as a team?".
Weiss saw the hurt in Ruby's eyes as she saw her younger self staring back at her in the reflection before closing her own "Not a team led by you." Weiss turns around not seeing the devastated look on Ruby's face as Weiss walks away stopping after a few steps she turns "I've studied and trained, to get me here but I deserve better than you." She says before turning away "Ozpin making you leader is a mistake.".
Ruby's eyes widen before looking down as Weiss walked off once Weiss is gone did Ruby turn around "Wow she seems mad." Ruby eeped as she turn to see Luffy who was staring where Weiss went.
After calming down a bit Ruby looked to Luffy "Do you also think Ozpin made a mistake." Luffy tilts his head "About me being leader of my own team." Ruby waited as Luffy tilts his head again giving her a confused look.
(With Weiss)
Weiss made her way to the rooftop to clear her head she can't help but feel a little guilty, but she pushed it down as she marched forward "Ozpin made a mistake, if anyone deserve to be leader it should be me!" she shouts out as she grab hold of the railing.
"Do you really think that or is it something else?" a gruff voice got Weiss to turn to find Zoro napping on one of the bench as he gave her an annoyed look.
"Zoro, I'm sorry for waking you but why are you here?" Weiss asked while Zoro sat up.
"Was just looking for a place to nap but someone decided to shout there heart out over the horizon." Zoro says as he leaned back on the bench.
"I wasn't shouting my heart out!" Weiss blushed at her comeback before smirking a bit "And I think you were just trying to get back to your dorm but end up lost here instead." Weiss's smirk grew as she saw Zoro turns away from her.
"Tch, Noisy woman." Zoro mutters out as Weiss giggled at her little victory "So what are you shouting about." this got Weiss to stop as Zoro stares "I could guess, but I want to hear it from you.".
'He really reminds me of Winter.' Weiss stood up taller getting Zoro to raise a brow "Zoro, I think that Ozpin made a mistake and he should've made you leader of your team and me as mine." she says with one hand on her chest as she stood resolutely while Zoro lowered his head as his eyes are shadowed.
(With Ruby and Luffy)
"How should I know?" Luffy's blunt answer got Ruby to looked at him in surprise "I don't know what Weess said-" "It's Weiss Luffy." "-oh okay, but how am I suppose to know if you're a good leader?".
Ruby just rubs her arm "It's just maybe she's right, maybe I don't deserve it.".
Luffy sighs "That's just dumb." Ruby perks up surprised again "How would she know if you're a good leader or not if she doesn't give you a chance." Ruby was even more surprised by how mature Luffy's answer is "What matter isn't if you think you're a good leader or not, what matters is if they gonna trust you as much as you trust them.".
(With Weiss and Zoro)
"No way." Weiss was surprised by Zoro's curt but clear answer.
Weiss shook of her surprise "But why? It's obvious you would be a more fitting leader than Straw Hat and Ruby is too childish to lead a team!".
Zoro narrowed his eyes at her "If you really believe that then you really don't deserve to be leader." much to Weiss's surprise.
"Excuse me!? I have trained under famed swordsmens, studied under renowned scholars and I have learned the vital usage of Dust and it's properties! How am I not deserving of leading a team!?" Weiss fires back with a scowl on her face.
Zoro sighs as he got up from the bench "Weiss I don't doubt you, you're smart and you have skill." Weiss face soften a bit but she still glares at him "But you don't trust others." Weiss looked surprised.
(With Ruby and Luffy)
"What do you mean? Isn't a leader suppose to lead?" Ruby asked as Luffy shrugs.
"Dunno." Ruby sweatdrops at that "There are things I can't do Ruby." Ruby looked confused "I can't navigate, I can't cook, I can't use a weapon, you know I can't make cool weapons and I can't even lie!" Luffy listed out while looking proud much to Ruby's increasing sweatdrops "But I can leave that up to my friends if I make a mistake my team would be there to cover it."
Ruby looks down in thought "If that was the case why did Ozpin choose you?".
Luffy shrugs "Beats me. All I know is that it doesn't matter how bad a leader I am I will at least try my best that's all I can do.".
Ruby looked a little better but still want the answer "How are you sure you're a good leader."
Luffy smiles "I don't. I just try my best."
(With Zoro and Weiss)
"What do you mean I don't trust others!?" Weiss demanded while Zoro stares at her.
"I saw your fight today. You were trying in every way to ignore Ruby." Weiss felt a stab of guilt as he state it out "Everyone cheered but it's only Ruby and Luffy that got you to snap, when Ruby try to tell you it's weakness you shut her down." Zoro points out as he point to her sword "The only reason you won is because Ruby was right." Weiss grits her teeth.
"Weiss the only reason you're not leader is because you're trying to do everything yourself and from what you told me about yourself you were raised with everything done for you." Zoro explained as Weiss grit harder.
"Shut up!" Weiss shouts as she drew her Myrtenaster and points it at Zoro who stared stoically "I won't be talked down to for where I came from not by father not by Ozpin and not by a lost boy like YOU!" Weiss stopped once the word left her mouth she dropped her sword as she covered it with her hands she looked guiltily at Zoro who kept his stoic gaze "I-I...I'm so sorry Zoro.." Weiss finished quietly as she walked over to a bench and slumps down as Zoro picked up her sword "I didn't mean it I'm just -".
Zoro sat next to her as Weiss looked away guiltily "Got your head cleared up?" Weiss nods "So now do you realize you can't be leader?" Zoro asked as he gave her her blade back "You want to do everything perfectly but you can't think outside the box like Ruby can. When you fought that Nevermore do you think of some way to take it down?" Weiss shook her head "That's because you were only thinking on how you can take it down, while Ruby was thinking how all of you can." Zoro got up as he looked to the horizon "That's because she trust you Weiss." Weiss looks up "So maybe you should put as much trust in her.".
"But how can I make it up to her? I said some...bad things to her." Weiss looked down again.
Zoro just put a hand on her shoulder "I won't worry I'm sure Luffy would sort it out.".
Weiss quirks a brow "Straw Hat? How can he help me?".
Zoro smirks.
(Luffy/Zoro)
"And I trust them/ I trust him." Luffy laughs/ Zoro turns as both of them walked off.
(With Ruby)
Ruby smiles at a retreating Luffy "Mm, Guess I was worried for nothing." Ruby eeped again as she turns to Ozpin who smiles "Though a bit crude, I think you got the gist of it?"
Ruby looked back to where Luffy is and smiles "Yeah. It doesn't matter if I'm the greatest leader I just have to try to be a good one for my teams, right?" she looks back at Ozpin who smiles back.
"And you can start by being an example for your team." Ozpin pats her shoulder "You have a heavy burden but you are not carrying it alone, do well to remember that." Ozpin walked ahead "Oh yes! Do remember to do your assignment! You might be giving missions soon but this is still an Academy!" Ozpin reminds Ruby who nods her head as she makes her way to her room, Ozpin chuckles as he made his way to his office.
(With Weiss)
"I know my way back!"
(And Zoro who is being dragged by the hand by Weiss)
"You were going to the courtyard" Weiss says already used to leading him by the hand, his big firm warm- Weiss blushed as she let go "We made it here anyway." she coughed a bit trying to calm down.
Zoro looked up and sees his dorm room "Tch, Thanks." Zoro made his way to the door.
"That is team JNPR room Zoro." Zoro stops blushing a bit he grumbled as he made it to his teams door much to Weiss's amusement.
"Shut it, I knew where I was going." Zoro grumbled as Weiss giggled a little louder "Damn woman.".
Weiss's giggle quiet down to a titter "I'm sure you were." she says amusingly before giving a more genuine smile "Thank you, Zoro. For bringing me to my senses.".
Zoro just gave her a look before opening the door "Whatever.".
As the door closed Weiss was left alone she then turns to her room a bit nervous about her behavior earlier this day, with a deep breath she creaked the door open as she peaks in and was met with sleeping teammates in there makeshift and frankly dangerous looking bunk beds, she saw Blake sleeping soundly while Yang is snoring obnoxiously with one of her leg dangling from her top bunk she turns to her bunk bed but notice a certain red hood sleeping on the desk with a candle light to give a bit of light.
Weiss made her way over and saw Ruby sleeping on what looks like her homework that also seem to have a light puddle of drool on it, Weiss inwardly sighs as she reached out but she falter a bit as she hesitantly reached for Ruby's shoulder a light snort caused Weiss to pull her hand back as Ruby woke up drearily "Weiss?" her eyes snap open as she sits up flailing "Weiss! I-I was studying, and then I fell asleep..I'm sorry…" Weiss covered Ruby's mouth with one hand and made a shushing motion with the other.
Ruby nods as she realize she might've been too loud, Weiss inwardly sighs before noticing an empty mug next to Ruby's homework, knowing Ruby understand she needs to be quiet Weiss lowered her hands "How do you take your coffee?".
Ruby looked to Weiss confusingly "I...I don't…" "-Answer the question.-" "Cream and five sugar!" Ruby answered quickly after Weiss's stern question hoping she didn't make her mad again.
Weiss stared before rolling her eyes "Of course." she sighs as she takes the mug "Don't move." she made her way to the Dorms kitchen used for students who can't make it to the cafeteria or just prefer to make there own food after brewing two cups of coffee one made too sweet in Weiss's perspective and the other with just two cube of sugar, with two fresh mug of coffee in hand she made her way back to a confused Ruby "Here." she hand back Ruby her mug.
"Um..thanks Weiss." Ruby took a sip and sighs from the sweet liquid going down her throat feeling the warm feeling in her chest.
Seeing Ruby's content smile got Weiss to look abit guilty for her behavior "Ruby." Ruby snapped out of her sugar dream to look at Weiss "I'm sorry about what I said." before Ruby could open her mouth Weiss continued "I think you have what it takes to be a good Leader, and I'm going to be the best teammate to you." she looks down before looking in Ruby's eyes "So I'm going to trust you and I hope you will trust me.".
Ruby just looked to Weiss before smiling at her "Of coarse I'm going to trust you! Ruby and Weiss is gonna be the best partners that Beacon will ever see!" Ruby cheers before getting shushed by Weiss who also gave a smile.
As Ruby gave a sheepish smile Weiss sat next to her "Let's start by trying our best okay?" Ruby nods "That's wrong by the way." Weiss says as she points to an error on Ruby's sheet getting Ruby to look at the problem as Weiss starts to correct Ruby's mistakes after mistakes much to Ruby's whines.
Yang open one eye before closing it smiling.
Blake didn't turn to the two studying teammates as she went back to sleep.
(Back in the past)
A young Weiss walked away from her fathers office before bumping into something solid "Whoops!" before Weiss fell she was scooped up and placed back on her feet "You should look where you're going Little Lady." Weiss looked up at a tall muscled man in a white suit and oddly enough a dog faced hat that covers his upper face while his the lower half shows a bushy gray beard that widens to show his big smile to her.
"I'm sorry." Weiss curtly apologize as she gave a short bow before noticing she never seen this man before "Excuse me sir but who are you.".
The Old dog man just gave a loud laugh "I'm just an old man coming to see his friend." he gave a sad smile but he then notice something "Well now that I look at you, you look just like a little Willow!" the man says as he scratched his chin while Weiss looked surprised.
"She is my mother." Weiss says not knowing how she feels about the comparison.
"Bwahahaha! So you're Old Nicks little Princess?" Weiss perked up at the name.
"You know Grandfather?".
"Know him? Bwahahaha! We're old partners you won't find a more by the book Knight than Old Nick!" The old dog gave a hearty laugh.
Weiss looked astonish to meet someone who knows her grandfather but before she could say anything a young voice shouts out.
"Vice General sir you shouldn't run off!" a young man ran down wearing a white suit and combed back black hair blue eyes he pants a bit after running up to them.
The Vice General sighs "Lieutenant Ironwood it's bad manners running and shouting in someone else's house." "-Whose fault is that!?-" "….Was it mine?" he rubs his head.
Ironwood slaps forward "Who else is there!?" before giving a tired look before noticing the little Weiss "Oh sorry, um, are you by any chance Winter Schnee?" Weiss shook her head "Ah then you must be Weiss then can you show us where Winter is?".
Weiss just looked not wanting to give some stranger her big sister so she stayed silent.
The Vice General smacked Ironwood over the head much to Weiss's surprise "You're scaring the little girl with that cold face you should smile more Lieutenant.".
Ironwood just rubs his head "Is that why you wear that hat?" "-Shut up! The hat is cool!" "It actually looks weird on you sir." "-GAN! Does it really look weird?" Weiss giggles cut them off before she caught herself.
"Ahem excuse me aren't you looking for Miss Winter?" The three turns to a short heavyset man with a receding hairline and a bushy mustache, he has light brown eyes and he wore white collar long sleeves shirt, black vest, and cyan tie, black trousers, and black shoes.
"Klein!" Weiss runs up to Klein who's eyes changed to Yellow.
"Ah Miss Weiss it's good to see you did you tell your father about the good news!" but seeing Weiss looked down did his eyes changed to Red "Why that no good piece of-" "Ahem!" Klein eyes changed to Pink as he gave the two Knights a sheepish look "Oh pardon me." Klein cleared his throat as his eyes turns back to being Light Brown "Yes, you want to look for Winter sir.".
Seeing them nod he gesture for them to follow he gave Weiss a kind smile "Don't worry Miss Weiss there will be more opportunities in the future." he walked off followed by the other two however one stayed behind.
"So what did that old man do?" she looked up at the Vice General who looked down at her.
Weiss hesitated but decides she should tell him "My father told me to reject Elegia offer saying it was a waste of time." she looks down "But I want to sing so Grandfather would hear me in heaven." Weiss sobs a bit while the Vice General softly pats her head.
"Old Nick did love to hear his little Willow sing saying she has a beautiful voice and I think he would love to hear it from you too." Weiss sobs out as she trying her best to hold it in "It's okay to cry Weiss it's okay to let it out I'll be right here just like Nicolas Schnee we won't leave you all alone." he finished as Weiss finally cries out losing her Grandfather, losing her father and losing her mother and most likely losing her sister now she's crying it all out as she feels like her family would leave her in the empty manor but strong arms held her in as she continues to cry but she knew there was someone who would come see her, her new Uncle.
(Next morning)
Weiss stirs as she woke up noticing she's still in her uniform and she didn't remember going to bed "Hey you awake?" Weiss looked to see Yang wearing an apron with her hair tied up in a ponytail giving Weiss a smile "Come on go freshen up I figure we should have breakfast.".
Weiss got up confused "Did you put me to bed?" she asked as Yang looked back smiling.
"Nah! Ruby did good thing you got the bottom bunk or else Ruby would be in real trouble." She chuckles a bit as she went back to cooking.
"Ruby did?".
"Yeah your part of the Team so your part of the family." she flips the pan as she flips the egg "So did you make up?".
Weiss stayed silent a bit but seeing a yawning Ruby jumped down from her bunk she smiles at her sister "Morning Yang!" she then leans forward and wave "Morning Blake!" a confirmed hum can be heard in the small kitchen Ruby then turns to Weiss who gave a small smile "Morning Weiss!" yup they made up.
"I'll go wash up so you can go ahead and eat first." she got up and walked past Ruby who looked a little down "Oh and Good Morning Ruby." she smiles as she closed the door as Ruby cheers with a smiling Yang and Blake as they have there breakfast.
