"Now, melani," cobra began as he walked to a restaurant with his little girl in his arms. "After we eat, we'll go to my guild. On the way to magnolia, the city where the guild is, i will teach you the FIRST thing MY adoptive ma taught ME," cobra said. "What's that, daddy?" melani asked. "Teaching you control to make your poison non-lethal, if you don't want the person to die," cobra said. "As my ma put it, "it wouldn't do to accidentally kill a friend, now would it?' and she was right," cobra explained.
"How did you meet her? What was your life with her like?" melani asked her father.
"I was separated from my friends after escaping the closest thing to hell in this world. While i was unconscious, a scientist experimented on me. Luckily, i was able to kill the guy before he experimented on me some more. After escaping, i literally stumbled into the cave of my ma," cobra explained, he spoke with fondness at the end. "Ultimately, she agreed to help me control my natural magic, as well as the artificial magic i was given, which turned out to be her magic, oddly enough," cobra chuckled. "After i spent the night healing, my training with her began. The training was rather hard, but her magic was hard to control. I spent around five years with her. She eventually saw me as a son, and i thought of her as a mother. On the last day i saw her, i had mastered the most basic attack she had to teach me, and i collapsed, unconscious," cobra explained. Then his voice took on a lot of pain. "When i woke up, ma was gone, and all that was left of her, was the scarf and mask i wear. To this day, i'm still searching for her," cobra finished his tale.
She decided to feel her father's scarf. "Oh, it feels nice, daddy," she said, before she had a thought. "Daddy?" she began. "Hm?" he asked as he faced her. "What was grandma?" she asked. "She was a poison dragon. My mask and scarf were made from her scales," he explained to his daughter. Just then, a waiter came by. "Hello there, may i take your order?" the waiter asked.
A few hours later, after cobra paid the bill, he left with his daughter. "I'll begin teaching you control on the way to magnolia. It's best for poison magic control to be practiced where there are not a lot of people, if any," cobra said to his daughter, who nodded in joy at the prospect of control.
Hours later
They were miles outside of the town. "Wow, you're taking to the control faster than i did," cobra praised his daughter. "Then again, i had two different kinds of magic to control, while you just have one," cobra said as an afterthought. Melani beamed as her father praised her. Cobra looked up at the sky, and saw that the moon was pretty high in the sky. "Alright melani, it's time for sleep," cobra stated.
"Not sleepy," she protested as she wiped her eyes. Cobra chuckled as he picked her up in a cradle carry. "Yes, you are, young lady," cobra retorted kindly. "Do you want a lullaby?" he asked.
Melani nodded. So, he decided to sing the song he sang, before he met her.

By the time he was finished, melani was sound asleep. Cobra chuckled a bit, set up a poison barrier about 12 feet in diameter, and went to sleep with his daughter in his arms.
Morning
Melani POV
I woke up, all warm and on a rather firm surface. I tiredly opened my eyes and saw daddy asleep. I looked around us and saw a sort of dome that was somewhat shifting. I decided to wake daddy up. "Daddy, come on, wake up," i said as i shook him. Daddy grumbled, and slowly woke up.
3rd POV
"What is it, melani?" cobra asked in a tired voice. We gotta move, remember? Home?" she prompted her father. Cobra's eyes shot open at the reminder, before he shot up, his daughter still in his arms. "Right, thanks for reminding me. Luckily i packed food. We'll leave after we eat," cobra said, before he put his daughter on her feet and he started to cook.
A few minutes later, the breakfast for melani was finished. "Here you go, enjoy," cobra said as he gave it to her. "What about your food, daddy?" melani asked. "I'll eat before we leave," he assured her. Melani then tried the food, gained stars into her eyes and started to wolf down her food. "Slow down, the food's not going anywhere," cobra said to her.
Melani nodded and slowed down her eating, so it was not as messy. Once the food was gone, cobra cleaned the bowl, spoon and whatever else had food on it, before he put the stuff away. "Time to go, melani," he said. Melani stood up, but had a question in her mind. "Daddy, what about that thing?" she asked as she pointed at the poison barrier.
"That's my breakfast, melani," cobra stated. Before melani could question her father, cobra inhaled and all the poison around them flowed through his mask as he ate the poison. After he gulped, he let out a belch. "That was some good poison," he said. Just then, yuki woke up from his back.
"Cobra, what about my bacon?" she tiredly asked. "Don't worry, yuki. We're about halfway to magnolia, by now. So, just wait a bit longer," cobra said. "Ok, then," yuki said, before she went back to sleep.
"I'll have to run there, so i gotta carry you, melani," cobra said. However, before melani could say anything, cobra picked her up in a cradle carry and ran.
Fairy tail guild
About an hour after he started to run, cobra was at the doors to the fairy tail guild. As cobra panted, he looked at his daughter. She was dizzy. "Daddy, are we there, yet?" she asked in a dizzy voice. "Yes, we are, melani," cobra said. He opened the doors, and had to duck under a chair that flew at him.
Melani looked at the chaos before her, and tried to hide in her father's arms. That was all that cobra needed, before breathed out numbing poison. Feeling the effects of the poison, everyone fighting collapsed.
"Oh, cobra's back," mira said, a blush on her cheeks. "I come back from my latest mission, and i find out, when i come back, that most of you idiots are TRYING to destroy the guild hall," cobra growled. "At this rate, we'll need to build a room that can withstand an bunch of idiots trying to kill each other, so they don't drag people into their fights," cobra finished.
When cobra finished his lecture, the numbing poison had worn off. Just then, mira saw a little girl with vermillion hair in cobras arms. "Cobra, who's that in your arms?" she asked. Everyone then notice what mira did, and they were curious about her, as well.
"After i finished my job, i saw this little one away from the rest of the children. Curious, i asked about her. The parents of the other children told me what happened to her, and she had not eaten anything for a few days, so i adopted her," cobra explained.
"What happened to her, child?" makarov asked. "Her latent magic activated, and she killed her parents by accident," cobra said. "Luckily, i'm immune to poison, so i was able to teach her control on the way here," cobra finished his tale.
Just then, cobra noticed someone was missing. "Hey, where's erza?" he asked. "She got requested for a job," mira explained. "Oh. natsu not back yet?" he asked. "Not yet. Should be at any time, though," mira said.
Cobra set her on a stool. "Now, melani, i'm gonna make some food for yuki. Can you hold her for me?" he asked his daughter. "Ok, daddy," melani said timidly. So, cobra got yuki off his back and gently gave her to his daughter, before he went into the kitchen.
A few minutes after he did, the doors to the guild were kicked it. "WE MADE IT BACK ALIVE!" natsu yelled. "We're back," happy cheered. "So, natsu, i heard you caused trouble in hargeon-" was as far as the guy got, before natsu performed a flying kick to the guy's face, much to the surprise of the blonde girl that came with him. "You lied to me about that salamander! I'm gonna destroy you!" natsu said angrily.
"Don't get mad at me, i was just passing along a rumor i heard!" the guy retorted. "It was just a RUMOR?!" natsu exclaimed. "You wanna fight?! LET'S GO!" the guy exclaimed before he flew at natsu and the two began to fight.
"Natsu's back, HUH?!" a guy with spiky black hair in his boxers asked. "Grey, your clothes," a brunette with a glass of wine said. "I don't have time for that," the guy, grey, retorted.
"GET OVER HERE AND FIGHT ME!" grey yelled at natsu. "Not till you put some clothes on," natsu denied. "Um, shouldn't we stop them?" the blonde asked mira. "This happens all the time, so i just leave them alone. Besides-" mira was saying, before a tall guy with white hair crashed into her. "It's kinda fun, don'cha think?" she groaned, before she passed out from pain.
"DON'T DIE ON ME!" the blonde girl yelled as she fussed over mira.
Just then, cobra came out with a plate of bacon and a cup of coffee. "*groan*, again? It hasn't even been half an hour," cobra complained, before he put the plate in front of melani. "Yuki's nose twitched. She quickly jumped onto the bar and started to eat her bacon.
He had JUST sat down, coffee in hand, and was about to drink his coffee, when the cup was knocked out of his hand. He looked where it landed with a dark look on his face. That look turned to rage, when a guild member stepped onto the cup, shattering it into pieces.
Just then, with veins throbbing in his forehead, he literally tore part of the bar from its place on the ground, and started to attack the guild member with it.
A few minutes later, the mages started to prep their magic. The brunette held up a card, summoning a magic sigil. Grey put a fist in his palm, an ice blue sigil appeared. The guy with the white hair yelled as a sigil appeared in front of his fist as stones started to attach themselves to his arm. Natsu and cobra summoned fire and poison to their fists. "I'm ready for ya!" natsu declared while cobra was silent.
"Are they always like that?" melani and the blonde asked in harmony, as the blonde attempted to use happy as a shield, with a sign that said 'shield' hanging around his neck. "Yep," happy said. "Sadly, and cobra's normally pretty calm, unless you mess with his coffee," yuki said as she ate her bacon. "You don't seem worried," the blonde said sadly, tears running down her face. "Oh," melani said.
Just then, a giant stomped amongst them. "Would you fools stop acting like children?!" the giant yelled. "Even after cobra brought a bit of order to this guild," the giant stated. "wow/he's huge" melani and the blonde said. However, one had stars in her eyes and one had fear in her eyes, as well as tears. Guess who had what.
"Oh, i didn't realize that you were still here, master" mira said, as she had woken up.
"Master?!" the blonde asked in shock.
"Haha, what a bunch of babies. Looks like i win this rou- *oopf*" natsu was saying, before the master stepped on him. The master of the guild then looked at the blonde. "Well, it looks like we have a new recruit," the master said.
"Yes sir!" the blonde said in fear. The master then shrank until he was the size of a small child. "Nice to meet ya, newbie," the master said.
"Is this tiny old man really the guild master?!" the blonde asked in shock. "Of course he is, this is the guild master of fairy tail, mavarov," mira said, introducing the guild master.
