In the distance, cries could be heard, no, rather a howling. This prompted the two small beings to increase their pace. They realized that time was running out and the gate would soon close. It was always like this, the gates only opened for a few minutes. If they were to let this opportunity pass, it would have unpleasant consequences for them. No, not just for them, surely for the entire DigiWorld.

One of the two beings, a bluish dragon, now overdid it and lost its balance. It stumbled and fell ungracefully on its snout. Its companion, a white, glittering creature, abruptly turned around and rushed to its friend. He helped him up and immediately received thanks. The bluish dragon checked the small bag it was carrying. It inspected the contents and was relieved to find it undamaged. It would urgently need the item in the other world. Immediately they heard the enemy approaching. They had lost some of their lead, which they urgently needed to restore. They ran and recognized the gate a few meters ahead of them. It shimmered greenish and seemed only like a refraction of light. But the two beings knew what it was all about. They looked at each other one more time and then nodded to each other. They were ready to jump into the gate when the enemy appeared behind them.

It was too late for them to realize that the enemy had moved the last meters underground. It now burst forth and attacked the beings. It was a huge machine with a massive mouth. It had the snout of a crocodile and massive cannons on its back. It snapped at the blue dragon, but its friend shot a white bolt against the monster's mouth. This only made the enemy recoil briefly, but it was enough of an opportunity. The white creature grabbed the hand of the blue one and pulled it towards the gate. They stood right in front of it when the enemy charged forward again and turned the two with an attack. Their hands released each other, but they had made it. They flew through the gate, at least that's how it looked for the white creature. It had lost sight of its friend and hoped that he was safe. Everything around him started spinning, and soon he landed in a strange place. Tall buildings adorned the surroundings, and noise could be heard. Around him, he recognized beings that did not match his kind. They walked on two legs and had hair on their heads.
