I've have been reading about fanfictions that explore a little about this.
To everyone in this chapter I'm starting to explore the mating bond and the mating marks between Eva and Damon.
My idea is only that they are mates and have bite marks to prove that.
Nothing more because I want to use this to make some of Eva's friends saying that is the sire-bond but it's going to be Elijah or Stefan to explain what is happening to Damon and Eva.

Chapter XI
Our Town
It was already morning and at the Salvatore Boarding House Damon was smiling as he took a shower in his bathroom while Eva was sleeping in his bed. Last night had been perfect. He had explained to her about their mating bond and she wasn't afraid. She had accepted that they were mates and when she becames a vampire like him their bond with stronger.

At Alaric's apartment, Elena was punching and kicking a punching bag when Alaric entered the room.
"Hey, you're gonna put a hole in that thing! You want to talk about it?" Alaric asked her while Jenna was making coffee for all of them.
"Nothing to talk about." Elena said to him and continued to punch the bag.

At the Salvatore Boarding House, Damon got out of the shower and walked into his bedroom, whistling happily and wnet to wake up Eva with kisses on her neck when he saw that Stefan was waiting for him.
"Good morning." Damon said to his brother while he covered Eva for Stefan not to see her naked body.
"You're late. We were supposed to meet Bonnie at the witch house in ten minutes." He said to Damon looking at him.
"Relax, brother. You don't want your hair to fall out." Damon said with sarcasm on his voice.
"Would you hurry up? We have work to do. You know, Klaus isn't gonna spontaneously self-destruct. Why are you all chipper?" Stefan asked his brother.
"No reason. Be with you in a minute." Damon said to his brother. "And Eva knows about this plan so she is coming with us for your information." He sais to Stefan because she was coming with like Stefan liked or not.

Still in Alaric's apartment, Elena was still training while Alaric held the punching bag for her. Jenna left because she had classes to go and couldn't be at the Founder's Hall. Her control was so much better with the old Salvatore's help.
"So, what's got you all worked up?" Alaric asked with a worried voice.
"I didn't really sleep last night." Elena said to Alaric.
"Yeah, me neither. Probably something to do almost with dying..." Alaric said to Elena.
"Are you okay?" Elena asked him worried.
"Yeah I'm fine, I'm fine. I think the ring, however, is running low on batteries and sometimes don't let the vampire blood heal me." Alaric said to Elena.
"Yeah, that's another reason why Jeremy has to get out of town. If those rings have a shelf life, he is not protected, neither are you." Elena said and punched the bag with all the strength she could muster.
"Nice, nice, you're getting stronger." Alaric said to her with a smile.
"I'm just channeling frustration. I need coffee." She said and walked over to the kitchen counter while taking off her gloves and then made herself some coffee.
"Seems Damon's compulsion worked, Jeremy was packing when I left the house, going on about his new school in Denver." Alaric said happy that the compulsion was working on Jeremy.
"Have you talked to Damon and Eva today?" Elena asked Alaric because she thought that was strange that her sister wasn't here training with her.
"No. Why?" Alaric asked her because he already knew some of Damon and Eva's plans for the day and they didn't Elena to know.
"No reason." Elena said already suspecting something.
"By the way where's Eva?" Alaric asked her already had a impression that she was suspecting something.
"She spent the night with Damon and I didn't speak with either of them today." Elena said and drank her coffee.
"Alright." He said nodding his head.

At the old Witch House, Bonnie was casting a spell, and chanting in latin, when she stopped, she tried to open the coffin, but it's still locked shut.
"Why won't you open?!" Bonnie yelled feeling frustrated because her the spells weren't working when all of the sudden the coffins disappear. Then she heard the floorboards squeaking, there was someone else in the house. "Hello? Someone there?" She asked with some fear on her voice.

Outside the house, Eva, Damon and Stefan were walking up to the house.
"You didn't say anything to Elena about the coffins, right?" Stefan asked to them.
"No, I said I wouldn't." Damon said to his brother.
"I know what you said." Stefan said but then turned to his brother. "But you told your girlfriend." The younger of the brothers said to Damon.
"I don't keep secrets from Eva. You know that. Why are you asking?" Damon asked his brother.
"Because protecting the location of Klaus's family is my number one priority right now and the fewer people who know, the better." Stefan said to his brother and then all of the sudden Damon stopped walking making him stop too. "What?" Stefan asked his brother while they sensed Bonnie walking up slowly to the staircase and when she turned to walk up the stairs, she saw Damon there. He put his finger to his lips to quiet her and listened intently. A hybrid walked out of the house and ran into Stefan. The hybrid vamped out, but before he could bite Stefan, Damon ripped his heart out from behind him.
"These hybrids, really bringing the neighborhood down." Damon said with sarcasm and threw the heart on the ground. "By the way Eva can keep a secret. She won't tell her sister our crazy plan."
"Of course I can." Eva agreed and kissed Damon, then left with Bonnie to school.

At the Mystic Falls High School, Elena was decorating Caroline's locker for her birthday when Bonnie and Eva arrived together.
"Hey, sorry I'm late, I... I got held up." Bonnie said to Elena.
"Sorry, I'm late." Eva lied to her sister because she had promised not to tell their plan.
"It's okay. I just got here too. Can you pass me the balloons? Thanks." Elena said to them about being late too. "What got you running late?" Elena asked Bonnie and Eva.
"I was... working on some new spells. You?" Bonnie explained to them.
"I oversleept. Spend the night with Damon and oversleept." Eva said to them.
"Working out with Alaric. So, I have something I need to tell you, and you're not gonna like it." Elena said to her friend.
"It was something that we thought it was the best." Eva said to Bonnie knowing that she wouldn't like that had compelled Jeremy to leave Mystic Falls.
"What happened?" Bonnie asked them.
"Jeremy is gonna be leaving town for a while. He'll be staying with some old family friends in Denver, until this whole Klaus thing blows over." Elena explained to Bonnie.
"Jeremy wouldn't just leave you and Eva to deal with Klaus on your own." Bonnie said knowing that he wouldn't leave his sisters.
"I know..." Elena said and then Eva interrupted her.
"I asked Damon to compel him." Eva said to her friend.
"You what?" Bonnie asked them surprised.
"I know, Bonnie. But it's not safe for him here anymore. Leaving will give him a better life. The only reason I'm telling you is because I know that you two haven't really worked out your stuff. And I thought that maybe you'd wanna say goodbye." Elena said to her friend with a sad voice but she and Eva were protecting her brother from all of that while the tanned girl looked at Jeremy who was in the background and made a disapproving face with what her friends.

At the Old Witch House, Damon was fiercely hitting the coffin with a shovel.
"You're wasting your time. It won't open." Stefan said to his brother about the coffin and the remembered about the hybrid that Damon had killed to protect their secret. "Did you bury the body?" He asked him.
"Yeah. Any sign of our little hybrid buddies?" He asked Stefan about the bybrids.
"Nope, just the dead one." Stefan confirmed to Damon.
"Alright, Klaus has six siblings. Rebekah is now with Klaus. There was one dead kid in the old world, one dead kid in the new world, which leaves Elijah and two others. One of them must be the one they say Eva belongs too. So, which is of those two others?Three sleeping originals, four coffins. So, who is in the locked box?" Damon wondered about the coffin that was locked.
"No idea. But whatever is in here, Bonnie seems to think will help us kill Klaus. So, the sooner she can get this open, the sooner we will know if she's right." Stefan stated to his brother because he wanted Klaus dead.
"Oh, you think the spirits of a bunch of dead witches that can make the coffins invisible would have figured out how to open one." Damon said and tilted his head towards ceiling towards the spirits expectantly. "Fine, don't help." He said with some sarcasm.
"You know, none of this is gonna do us any good if Klaus's hybrid friends find our hiding place, right? They need to go away." Stefan explained to his older brother.
"Oh yeah, that's a great idea Stefan. Why don't you just ask them to pack their bags and take a long rest while we are at it. How about try to keep the peace?" Damon said to with sarcasm on his voice. "Don't attract attention to the real thing we are trying to hide." He stated to his brother because he knew how Stefan right now.
"Well, I'm not gonna play defense when I have what Klaus wants. He does what I say, or I dump his family to the bottom of the ocean." Stefan stated to his brother and what he had to Klaus before.
"And then he kills you and everyone you know to like, I don't know... me!" Damon said once again to Stefan.
"No, he's bluffing. His family means more to him than anything else." Stefan continued to say to his brother.
"You sure about that?" Damon tried to sure.
"Well I don't know Damon. I mean, I guess there's only one way to find out, right? Call his bluff." Stefan said to Damon.
"The only way to call someones bluff, Stefan, is to be willing to lose everything if you're wrong." Damon said and Stefan smiled at him and left, ignoring his words.

At the Mystic Falls High School, Bonnie walked up to Jeremy who was at his locker.
"Denver, huh?" Bonnie asked him while Jeremy nodded his head. "So, were you going to say goodbye to me?" She asked a little sad.
"I wasn't sure you cared." Jeremy said to her with the same tone.
" Of course I care. I was hurt by what happened between you and Anna, Jeremy. I didn't want you to leave town." Bonnie said to him remembering why she was upset with him.
"I think this could be a good thing. Until all this Klaus stuff blows over. I think I could have a better life there." Jeremy explained to Bonnie.
"That's what Elena and Eva said. That's exactly what they said." Bonnie stated to him remembering their words.
"What do you mean?" Jeremy asked with a curious voice.
"Nothing." Bonnie said shaking her head. "I'm just sorry you have to go, that's all." She finally said and left him alone.

Outside the school, Caroline parked her car while she saw Tyler and got out of her car.
"I can't talk to you." Caroline stated to Tyler and continued to walk to school.
"I know you're upset but..." Tyler was trying to speak but the blonde vampire didn't let finished to explain.
"Upset? You almost got Jeremy killed! And before you ask me to understand you or to support you, can you at least tell me what you're planning to do about your sire-bond to Klaus?" Caroline asked him furious with what happened yesterday.
"There is nothing that I can do about it, Caroline! That's the point. I just wanted you to know that I understand why you can't be with me. Even though I want to put you first, before anyone, I can't. I'll never be able to. And I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I just want you to know that." He finished to tell her with regret in his voice because about what had happened yesterday.
"I'm sorry too." Caroline said to him with a sad voice.
"Happy birthday." Tyler said to her while gave her a small drawstring bag and then he walked away. Caroline opened the bag and finds a charm bracelet, with a C, an F, a football helmet, and a cheerleader's megaphone, among other charms. She looked sadly at the bracelet in her hands.

At Klaus' Mansion was still under construction while he watched the men and then turned to his sister's coffin.
"Sweet dreams Rebekah." Klaus said to his sister closing the coffin and then turned to the hybrid girl, Mindy, that was beside him. "Show her to her room, would you, love?" He said to her.
"Sure." Mindy said and wheeled the coffin away.

"I'm surprised you're still in town. I gave you your freedom and you could have gone anywhere." He said to the person that was watching him. It was Stefan.
"I live here, Klaus." Stefan said from the doorway were he was leaning.
"Well, if we're playing this game, then... I was here first." Klaus said to him because he had lived in Mystic Falls a thousand years ago.
"You know, I don't like your hybrid friends. They're everywhere, kind of like fleas. I want them gone." Stefan ordered to Klaus.
"Yeah, well I kind of like having them around. You know, I'm hurt. I hoped that when I freed you, we'd pick up where we left off. But here you are, guzzling vervain like the rest of them, I'm sure. So much for friendship." Klaus said to him a little smirk.
"Friends don't strip friends of their free will." Stefan states to Klaus.
"Okay, granted, yeah, that was a little extreme, but I get a little moody. Just ask my siblings. Speaking of whom, isn't it time you handed them over?" Klaus asked him about the coffins.
"Klaus, get your hybrids out of Mystic Falls or I will remove them myself." Stefan said with a threathing voice.
"You see, if you continue to threaten me, I'm gonna be forced to retaliate. Kill people and it will get messy again." Klaus advised Stefan.
"Do whatever you want, I don't really care. Or you know what? Maybe I do. Maybe I care so much, that I'll drop Elijah in the Arctic." Stefan said to Klaus with the same tone he used before.
"Well, maybe I'll be willing to lose one brother if it meant killing yours." Klaus said to the younger vampire with the same tone Stefan used before.
"Try me, let's find out." Stefan said with a smirk.

"Is everything okay?" Mindy asked walking on them.
"Everything is fine, Mindy. Stefan was just leaving after failing to make his point." Klaus said with a smirk to her. While Stefan waiting for a moment, grabbed a saw from the work table he's next to, rushed over to Mindy and cuted her head clean off with it.
"Well, one down. You may want to, ah, send the rest of them away before it gets messy, again." Stefan said once again while threw the saw back on the table and left.

At the Forbes Residence, Caroline walked into her house and put her stuff down. All of a sudden Eva, Elena, Matt and Bonnie jump out with balloons, party hats, and a sign.
"SURPRISE!" They all yelled with smiles.
"Happy birthday!" Matt said to her with a smile.
"What are you guys doing here?" Caroline asked them surprised to see them.
"Well you blew off school and missed our work of birthday art, so..." Elena said while she took off the crown she's wearing and put it on Caroline's head.
"Change into warmer clothes, we are going to the Falls. S'mores, camp fire…" Bonnie said with a smile to the birthday girl.
"Cake! Like when we were little." Elena said to her trying to make her feel excited.
"Except for the tequila!" Matt said too with enthusiasm.
"And we can get drunk too!" Eva said showing her two bottles of bourbon that she had stolen from Damon's secret stash.
"Thanks, guys. Really, um, I'm just not feeling my birthday this year." Caroline said to her friends because she was upset about Tyler.
"I'm sorry, what? You've already claimed your birthday as everyone's favorite day of the year." Bonnie said to her because that's what happened every year since they were little children.
"Yeah, and now, it's just a reminder that technically, I'm dead. Look, I didn't even like seventeen. And the only point to being seventeen is to get to eighteen. It's a filler year; I'm stuck in a filler year." Caroline explained what she was feeling about her birthday.
"You're not stuck, Caroline." Elena said to her friend with a hug.
"Yeah I am, but it's okay. You know, it's all good, I'll be fine. But I just need some time to wallow in it." Caroline said to them.
"Care, when the time comes I will be like you in that department." Eva said to her friend because she had already decided. She will be a vampire to be with Damon.
"Okay, well I think I have another idea." Elena said to them having another idea.
At Klaus' Mansion, a hybrid named Daniel walked in with Mindy's head in a bag.
"What do you want me to do with her head?" Daniel asked Klaus about the head.
"Just get rid of it. Burn it. I honestly don't care, Daniel." Klaus told him and he walked away while Tyler entered in the room.

"You called? I'm here. What happened?" Tyler asked Klaus seeing the mess.
"What happened is Stefan had two paths in front of him and he chose the one that made me angry. I need you to help me do something about that." Klaus ordered to Tyler.
"Can't you just leave me out of it?" Tyler asked him because he didn't want upset his girlfriend more than she already was.
"What would be the point in that?" Klaus asked him.
"Seriously man, can't you just get one of your other hybrids to do your bidding? I lost my friends, my girlfriend." Tyler explained to Klaus that since he became a hybrid he lost everyone important to him.
"Right, your, uh, your girlfriend. Um, about her... I need you to bite her." Klaus ordered him once again.
"What?" Tyler asked surprised.
"Don't make me repeat myself." Klaus said not liking that Tyler was questioning his orders.
"A hybrid bite will kill a vampire." Tyler stated to him.
"Yeah. Yeah, I know exactly what it will do. Uh, Stefan pushed me too far, so I'm pushing back." Klaus said to him.
"I'm not biting Caroline." Tyler stated to Klaus.
"Tyler, I've been supernaturally blessed with the good fortune of a sire bond to you. So, one could consider this me putting your undying loyalty to the test." Klaus said to the young hybrid.
"What the hell is wrong with you? I'm not hurting Caroline." Tyler said oustraged with what Klaus was saying to him.
"All right. All right. I'm disappointed, but you know, it's your choice, free will and all that. I'll find another way to strike at Stefan. You can go now." Klaus dismissed Tyler.

It was already night in Mystic Falls and Damon and Alaric were going to another Council meeting at the Founders' Hall
"I thought Stefan saved your life." Alaric said to Damon remembering the last time the youngest Salvatore did.
"He did." Damon confirmed to Alaric.
"And now he is willing to risk it just to see how far he can push Klaus?" Alaric asked him not only worried about Eva and Elena but everyone in town.
"It seems so." Damon said to Alaric again.
"So is his humanity on or off now?" Alaric asked Damon because he had been about that switch being on or off.
"I think there is another option at play, a dimmer switch, which is a huge problem." The raven haired vampire explained to Alaric.
"Why?" Alaric asked him confused by that.
"Because I can't predict how far he is willing to go until someone gets killed." Damon explained to Alaric about the dimmer switch.
"So, suddenly you care who lives or dies?" Alaric asked him with a little smirk.
"I have a small list." Damon said with a smile.
"Talk about a humanity dimmer switch." Alaric said to him a hint of smile too.
"Screw you!" Damon said with a smile.
"Can't a Council meeting ever just be a Council meeting?" Alaric asked looking around the party while they entered the Meeting Hall and they saw that there was a folding signboard out front that reads Wickery Bridge Restoration Fundraiser.

Caroline, Eva, Elena, Bonnie and Matt were walking at the cemetary when they entered in one crypt. It was Fell Family Crypt.
"There it is!" Elena said with enthusiasm.
"This is creepy, even for us." Bonnie said to them about their location.
"No, Caroline was right... technically, she's dead. Sorry. But you don't need a birthday, you need a funeral. You need to say goodbye to your old life, so that you can move on with your new one." Elena explained to all of them.
"One day, I will join her on the club." Eva said with a smile.
"Okay. Here lies Caroline Forbes..." Caroline said with a smile on her face while Elena was putting candles on top of a birthday cake.
"Cheerleader, Miss Mystic Falls, third grade hopscotch champion..." Elena started to say the things Caroline achieved on her life.
"Friend, daughter, overachiever..." Bonnie continued after Elena.
"A dreamer, a planner, listener…" Eva continued after Bonnie.
"Mean girl, sometimes, no offense." Matt finished after Eva.
"Ah, none taken." Caroline said laughing.
"She was seventeen and she had a really good life. So rest in peace, so that she can move forward." Elena said and walked up to Caroline, holding the cake in front of her. "That's what you really need right now. What we all really need basically right now. Amen or cheers or whatever. Bonnie?" Elena said to her witchy friend and Bonnie lighted the candles with her powers. "Nice! Okay, make a wish." She said while holding the cake out to Caroline, who closed her eyes and made a wish.

At the Founders' Hall, Alaric was looking at a model of the Wickery Bridge restoration.
"That's the bridge where Eva, Elena and Jeremy's parents died in the car accident." The raven-haired vampire said to Alaric.
"Something is up with her. Elena. Something more than usual. You know what it is?" The vampire hunter asked Damon.
"Well I'm sure it starts with a Stef and ends with an an. I'm gonna get a drink, write a check and then we're out?" Damon asked him while Alaric nodded agreeing with him.

"Alaric Saltzman, miracle patient!" Meredith said to Alaric joining him on the table after the raven-haired vampire left.
"Dr. Fell." Alaric looking at the doctor.
"I'm glad to see you're still alive. A part of me thought you would have dropped dead in your sleep!" Meredith said to Alaric surprised to see him alright.
"Well, I guess I have nine lives." Alaric said with a little sarcasm on his voice.
"Not a bad thing to have in a town with a vampire problem." Meredith said to Alaric already knowing that vampire were in town.
"Sorry? Are you on the Founders' Council?" Alaric asked her surprised that she knew about vampires.
"I'm a Fell, I come from a long line of founders, may they rest in peace." She said to him while she was looking at the model of the Wickery Bridge restoration project. "I hate that bridge because my senior prom date dumped me on this bridge."
"Oh, yeah? Did you throw him over?" Alaric asked her with a smirk.
"No, but I should have. I've been holding a grudge ever since against him." Meredith said to Alaric about her past "Where did your friend go? I'm supposed to hit him up for some money for the fundraiser." Meredith asked him looking around for Damon.
"Well, you should, he is loaded." Alaric said about Damon being rich.
"He's in good company and some British guy just pledged to match every dollar we raise until now!" Meredith said to Alaric with a excited voice.
"What do you mean, a British guy?" Alaric asked worried because he thought that could only be Klaus.

Somewhere inside the Lockwood Mansion, in some hall, Klaus was walking and talking with the Mayor of the town, Carol Lockwood.
"You know Carol when I think of a Mayor I think of an old fuddy-duddy, but you really have changed my perception!" Klaus said to her with a smirk on his lips.
"Oh, thank you!" Carol said to Klaus charmed by is accent while Damon saw them talking and decided to walk over to them.
"I mean you are just delightful! What color are your eyes?" Klaus said using more of his charms on Carol.
"They are blue." Carol said to him with a smile.
"Oh yes, they are." Klaus said to her with the same charm.

"Look at what the cat dragged in. Nice vest." Damon said coming to join them on the hall they were in and the raven-haired vampire saw Daniel, a hybrid, was acting as bodyguard behind Klaus.
"Thank you very much, good to see you, Damon. Carol and I were discussing about whether you would be the other big benefactor." Klaus said to Damon.
"What do you say Damon? Klaus has made a very generous pledge. You know how we're chomping at the bit to begin the renovation." Carol said turning to Damon about the money the raven haired vampire used to donate on his situations.
"Carol, don't take this the wrong way, but do you realize that you've been kissing the ass of an immortal hybrid who ruined your son's life?" Damon asked Carol if she knew what the hybrid had done to Tyler.
"Oh, come now. Some would say that I saved it from all that nasty full moon business and I've never had to go through it myself more than twice, to be honest, but still, I'm very sympathetic." Klaus said remembering what he went through before the curse had been put on him by his mother.
"Klaus has promised to protect Tyler, Damon. And our town." Carol explained to Damon what Klaus had promised to her.
"From who? His hybrids are the one the town needs protection from." Damon said about the hybrids Klaus had with him and pointed to Daniel.
"Well, I'd have no use for them if your brother would kindly return my family." The hybrid said to Damon about the coffins that Stefan had stolen from him.
"Not gonna happen." Damon said already knowing his brother answer.
"That's what I thought, which is why I've come to an agreement with the Mayor. You and the Council stay out of my hair, I stay out of yours. Your town gets protected, my hybrids get left alone and everybody will be happy. All you have to do is to get Stefan to stop decapitating my friends." Klaus explained the deal he had made with Carol to Damon.
"Please Damon, just get your brother under control, or the Council will be forced to take action against him." Carol said to him with a sad voice because she knew both brothers always protect their town but right now they had problems that the Salvatores couldn't solve without putting the humans in town in danger.
"You've gotta be kidding me!" Damon said with a surprised voice.
"Oh come on mate. Give peace a chance." Klaus said to Damon with a smirk.

Still inside the Fell Crypt, in the cemetary, Eva, Elena, Bonnie, Matt and Caroline were eating the cake. Matt took the bottle of tequila from Bonnie but Elena snatches it from his hand and drank.
"Ah, ah. I need it more than you do, trust me. Caroline, what are you doing?" Elena asked her blonde friend because she saw texting on her phone.
"I prefer bourbon." Eva said drinking directly from the bottle. "I stole them from Damon's secret stash in the Boarding House." Eva said laughing which made the others laugh, that's only when Caroline looked from her phone.
"What? Nothing." She said while stoping texting and held her hands down in front of her, trying to hide the phone in them and then tried the bourbon from Eva.
"Okay, you're a bad sober liar. You're an even worse drunk liar." Elena said to her friend.
"I might have texted Tyler." Caroline told them.
"Caroline..." Elena started to say.
"Lena, leave her alone. You know she likes Tyler." Eva said defending Caroline.
"What? I'm delicate." Caroline said to her.
"Give her a break! You can't control what everyone does all the time." Bonnie said and all of the sudden there was an awkward silence.
"Wow." Elena said surprised.
"Bonnie!" Eva said in complete surprised voice.
"Ouch, Bon." Matt said after seeing the twins faces.
"Sorry, I know it's Caroline birthday, funeral or whatever but, I just feel it's really wrong that you compelled Jeremy to leave town." Bonnie explained to the twins.
"We are doing it to protect him, Bonnie. We want to give him a chance to have a quiet normal life." Elena explained to her pointing at herself and her sister.
"He should be able to choose how he wants to live it, you both are taking his choices away." Bonnie stated to them.
"Bonnie, you can't tell him." Elena pleaded to her friend.
"Please, Bonnie." Eva pleaded to her too.
"Why? Are you gonna compel me not to?" Bonnie asked them with a sarcastic tone.
"You know, you guys are ruining a perfect funeral." Matt said to the three girls.
"I'm sorry. I'm just gonna go sleep it off or something." Bonnie apologized and then turned to Caroline. "Happy birthday." She said and left the crypt.

Damon and the Sheriff were walking and talking through the party, still at the Founders' Hall, in the Lockwood Mansion.
"The Mayor is looking out for Tyler and for the town. For now, we have to assume Klaus has her in his pocket." The Sheriff explained to Damon.
"Oh, please don't tell me you're gonna drink the Klaus Kool-Aid." Damon said to her with sarcasm on her voice.
"I'm not gonna let him hold this town hostage. But, I'm also not gonna let innocent people get caught in the cross-fire in a pissing contest between a hybrid and a vampire." She told him because of Stefan and Klaus.
"Liz, I'm impressed, you're all strong and sheriff-y." Damon said to her with a smirk.
"I'm not kidding, Damon. Get Stefan to stand down from this one before someone gets hurt." Liz told him and then walked away.

"What are you doing? You're gonna ruin your career." A man said to Meredith a little far away from Damon.

"Whoa! Hey. Everything all right here?" Alaric said to them appearing all of the sudden.
"Everything is fine." The man, Brian, said to Alaric.
"It didn't look fine." Alaric stated with what he had saw.
"You might want to get to know her before you become her white knight. She's kind of a psycho case." Brian said to Alaric about Meredith.
"You're that guy, aren't you? The one begging to have his teeth kicked in." Alaric chuckled remembering about what Meredith told him.
"Take it from me man, life's too short." Brian told him.
"Just go away, Brian." Meredith to Brian and he walked away. "Behold, my senior prom date." She told Alaric pointing at the man walking away.
"Well, you definitely should have throw him over the bridge." Alaric said to her with a laugh about the story she told him.
"Unfortunately, I have to work with him. He is on the Council, he's the medical examiner. The guy who signs his name under cause of death: animal attack." Meredith explained to the vampire hunter.
"I get it." Alaric said nodding his head.
"Yep." Meredith said when her pager went off and she checked it. "Duty calls. Thanks for the hero moment." She thanked him.

Inside the Lockwood Mansion, Stefan discreetly grabbed a long knife off the table at the council fundraiser. The hybrid, Daniel, went upstairs and into a room and closed the doors. Stefan surprised him and stabbed him in the stomach. He pulled Daniel's head backwards and put the knife to his throat, but Damon stopped him and slamed Stefan against a wall. Stefan turned and freed himself.
"What are you doing?" Stefan asked his brother pissed at him.
"What are you doing? No dead hybrids at the Founders' party!" Damon shouted at his brother for the stupid thing he was doing.
"No, I told Klaus to get his hybrids out of this town, he didn't listen, so I'm gonna say it louder." Stefan stated to his brother.
"You don't think there's ten more where that came from? And if you kill them, Klaus won't make 20 more? Have you forgotten about Eva and Elena's part in all of this? Or do you not care if they are a human blood bags for the rest of their lifes?" Damon asked his brother pissed that not only he was putting Eva's life in danger but Elena's too.
"Protecting Eva and Elena is your problem now. See, I'm not compelled by Klaus to do that anymore." Stefan to his brother.
"Don't give me that no humanity crap, you can't just flip your switch! Your switch is fried, Stefan, just like your brain! You wanna take Klaus? You wanna beat the villain? You've gotta be smarter." Damon stated to his brother.
"To beat the villain, Damon, you have to be the better villain." Stefan said clapping him on the shoulder and left.

The girls and Matt were still at the Fell crypt when Tyler arrived.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to crash the party." Tyler said to them knowing he had lost their friendship when he became a hybrid.
"So don't." Matt told him coldly.
"No, it's… it's okay." Caroline said then turned to Tyler. "Hi." She said to him with a little smile on her face.
"Can I talk to you for a sec? It's kind of important." Tyler asked her and she nodded agreeing to speak with him. They left the crypt with Tyler and they walked into the woods.
"Are you okay?" Elena asked Matt turnig to him while Matt took the tequila from Elena and took a swig.
"Yeah, I want her to be happy, you know? It's what I want for all of you guys, in the middle of this crazy life you got stuck living." Matt said to the twins that were present.
"Is that how you see it? That we're stuck?" Elena asked Matt about what he was saying.
"I'd say it's attached itself to you all pretty tight, yeah." Matt said to them.
"I love Damon and we both agreed, that I will be a vampire when I reach twenty-fours years old." Eva explained to Matt and continued to tell him. "We had to do it, Matt. My bother isn't safe in this town. That is the reason why we thought it was the best to compel in to leave town. If he stays, he will die. It was wrong but it is for his own go." Eva finished explaining to him.
"Bonnie is right, you know, I have no business messing in Jeremy's head. I just don't know what else to do. He is in danger here. I can't lose anyone else that I love." Elena explained to Matt too.

Outside in the woods Caroline and Tyler were talking and walking.
"I take it all back. Everything I said this morning. Klaus can't control me. Not when it comes to you. I won't let him." Tyler said to his girlfriend.
"Tyler, it's okay. Maybe we just weren't meant to be together. Maybe we just have to accept that and move on." Caroline explained to him already prepared to let him go.
"I'm not moving on from anything. I love you." Tyler stated to her.
"What?" Caroline asked surprised and Tyler kissed her all of the sudden. Then they made out against a tree for a while until the hybrid went to kiss her neck and then accidentally bite her neck. "Ouch! What the hell? What just happened?" She asked him surprised by what he did while she grabbed her neck.
"Oh, no." Tyler said shocked with what had happened.
"Did you just bite me?" Caroline asked him surprised by what he had done.
"Oh my god. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Tyler apologized to her with a sorry voice.
"Oh my god! Just get away from me! Get away from me!" Caroline shouted and Tyler left while Caroline slumpped to the ground.

Matt, Eva and Elena were looking for Caroline in the woods. Matt was shining a flashlight around to find her.
"Caroline!" Matt shouted her name.
"Great, we've been abandoned. Okay, we're going on a search party, I don't trust that she won't get back together with him." Elena said to them worried about her.
"She loves him. Just like you love Stefan and just like I love Damon." Eva said to her sister explained that she would forgive Stefan in heatebet if he asked her forgiveness.
"Caroline!" Matt shouted again calling their friend.
"Come on, Caroline we don't have anymore drinks! Matt's being haunted by the Fell ghosts." Elena shouted and playfully nudged Matt with her shoulder. Matt nudged her back and smiled at her.
"And I don't share my bourbon!" Eva said to her when all of the sudden, someone knocked Matt against the crypt wall at super speed and Matt fell to the ground unconscious. It was Stefan that came out and put his hand over Eva and Elena's mouth and whips them away.

On some road of the town, Stefan was driving his car while Elena was in the front seat and Eva was on the back seat.
"What are you doing, Stefan?" Elena asked Stefan pissed at him when Eva's phone rang.
"Hello Damon, she's a little busy right now." Stefan said when he picked up the phone and answered the call.
"Why the hell do you have Eva's phone?" Damon asked him surprised that his brother picked up his girlfriend's phone.
"I'm making my next move. Let me ask you something... What will Klaus do if he can't make anymore hybrids?" Stefan asked Damon prepared for what he will do next.
"What?" Elena and Eva shouted already starting to get scared.
"Stefan, leave them out of this." Damon said worried because he heard Eva and Elena's voices on the background. Then Stefan discontected the call, then rolled down the window and threw Eva's phone out of it, onto the road below.
"What are you doing? Stefan, let me and Eva out of this car. Do you hear me? Let us out of the car!" Elena yelled at Stefan.
"Did you hear my sister! Let us out of here! Now!" Eva yelled at Stefan and he ignored them.

Damon and Klaus entered an empty room in the Founder's Hall.
"What now? You just pulled me away from a fascinating conversation about landscaping the Town Square." Klaus said not liking being pushed by the Salvatores.
"Stefan just grabbed Eva and Elena." Damon stated to Klaus.
"Well, he's getting desperate." Klaus concluded that Stefan was being desesperated.
"He's gonna try and use them against you. Do what he says, get rid of your hybrids." The raven-haired vampire stated to Klaus.
"Or what? Stefan would never dream of killing them." Klaus stated to Damon.
"You sure about that? He just tried to behead someone in the middle of a Council party and he's operating on crazy right now." Damon explained to Klaus.
"Well, crazy or not, that kind of love he feels for Elena never dies. He's bluffing." Klaus stated to Damon.
"Maybe he is, maybe he isn't but if you don't want to believe him, believe me. I know my brother better than anyone, and right now, I don't have a clue how far he is willing to take this. So if he says blink, I suggest you blink." Damon stated to him and prepared to leave but turned to him again. "My girlfriend was grabbed by him too. She is prepared to be a vampire, she has my blood in her system but Elena is not prepared to be a vampire and my brother is more capable to force Elena to drink his blood and turn her." Damon said and left Klaus alone.

Matt was carrying Caroline in his arms and ran to the front door of the Forbes residence.
"Sheriff Forbes!" Matt shouted for Caroline's mother.
"What happened?" The Sherriff asked and opened the door while Matt carried Caroline inside the house.
"Tyler bit her." Matt explained to the Sherriff.
"Oh my god, sweetheart." The Sheriff said and then to Matt. "Be careful." She said and Matt carried Caroline to her bed and placed her on it. "Oh, honey. Caroline, honey, can you hear me?" She asked her daughter.
Caroline: I'm sorry, Mom.
Matt: She's been hallucinating or something, I don't know. No one's picking up their phone.
Sheriff Forbes: It's alright, sweetheart.
[She sits next to Caroline on the bed and brushes her hair off her face, lifts up her jacket collar and sees the bite mark.]

On some road to the Wickery Bridge, inside Stefan's car, Elena and Eva were fighting with Stefan.
"So, what's the plan, Stefan? What's the big move you're making?" Elena asked Stefan becoming more pissed than ever.
"I took Klaus's family to make him suffer. I'm not gonna let him make himself a new one." Stefan stated looking at the girls.
"So, what are you gonna do, huh? Are you gonna lock me and my sister in some cave and keep us hostage?" Eva asked Stefan equally pissed at him.
"Maybe. Maybe, I'll just turn you into a vampire." Stefan said to Elena. "I don't need to give Eva's some blood because she has a lot of Damon's blood on her system." He said with a smirk.
"Stop the car, Stefan!" Elena said shouting at Stefan scared. "Stop the car, Stefan!" She continued to yell at him.
"You heard my sister, Stefan! Stop the damn car!" Eva yelled at Stefan too.

Stefan picked up his car while he continued to drive.
"Stefan, how nice to hear your voice." Klaus said picking up the phone.
"Tell your hybrids to get out of town, Klaus." Stefan stated to him.
"Well that's not gonna happen until I get my coffins back." Klaus said to Stefan with a hard voice.
"Okay, well then I'm gonna drive your blood source off Wickery Bridge." Stefan stated to Klaus.
"I don't believe you Stefan. You won't kill them." Klaus said knowing that Stefan would never turn the girls. Stefan bit his wrist and forced it into Elena's mouth and forced her to drink his blood.
"No! No! No! What are you doing?" Elena said with some difficulty.
"What's going on?" Klaus asked a little concerned.
"I just fed Elena my blood. Eva has Damon's blood on her system. A lot of it. No more hybrids if they are vampires." Stefan explained to Klaus with a smirk.
"You won't do it." Klaus said to Stefan not believing that he would do it.
"Really? Try me, because your coffins are next to go. Say goodbye to your precious family Klaus." Stefan said and started to drive faster.
"Stefan, slow down! Stefan! Stefan, stop it!" Elena said screaming at Stefan.
"Stefan! Stop!" Eva said screaming too.
"Fine, I'll send them away. You win." Klaus finally concides with what Stefan wanted.
"Stefan! Stop the car!" Eva continued to scream. "I'm prepared to be a vampire. Elena never wanted to be one. So, stop the car, Stefan! Stop the car!" Eva screamed to him.
"Stefan! Stefan, stop!" Elena screamed too in panic.
"Stop the car, Stefan!" Klaus said screaming on the phone. Stefan slamed on the brakes and skided to a stop. Klaus heard this and hanged up, furious.

Eva and Elena got out of the car quickly and they both ran away from the car. Eva got her sister's phone and called Damon, since the younger Salvatore threw her into the middle of the road while Elena fought with Stefan.
"Get back in the car." Stefan said to Elena and Eva.
"Stay away from me." Elena yelled at Stefan.
"Girls, get in the car." Stefan ordered them.
"How could you? My parents died going over this bridge and I almost died. You knew that. You're the one who saved me." Elena said screaming and near in tears. Eva seeing that went to hug her.
"How could you, Stefan? I considered you a brother, family too but this, I never thought you would do this to my sister. I will never forgive you for this. Never and I know that never is a long time for a vampire." Eva said and hugged her sister that had started crying.
"Look, he had to believe that I would do it, all right? Your fear sold it." Stefan tried to explain to the girls.
"What if he hadn't?" Elena asked him still wrapped in her sisters arms.
"He did." Stefan said to her.
"Well, what if he hadn't?" Elena asked him louder getting out from her sisters arms while she received a text from Damon telling her that he was on his way.
"He did Elena! He backed down! He has a weakness. If I know his weakness, I can destroy him." Stefan said shouting at her.
"After everything, that's what mattered? Destroying Klaus?" Elena asked him shouting too.
"Destroying Klaus is all I've left." Stefan said to her because he was afraid that he had lost Elena forever.
"You had me!" Elena shouted at him because it was true.
"I lost you the minute I left town with him and you just haven't let yourself admit that yet." Stefan said to her.
"Is that what you're doing? Trying to make me hate you?" Elena asked him because she was afraid that if she admitted, she would hate him.
"I don't really care what you think about me any more, Elena." Stefan and got back in his car and drove off. Elena watched him leave and continued to cry. Eva went to her and hugged her again to let her cry.

Still at the brigde, the girls were sitted on the floor while Eva was brushing Elena's tears away. Stefan didn't deserve her sister.
"Lena, stop crying please. He doesn't deserve you." Eva said to her crying.
"But I still love him. So much." Elena said through her tears.
"When the time is right, you will find a new love and be beyond happy." Eva said to her with a smile.
"Are you sure?" Elena asked her twin sister and Eva nodded at her. Then they saw some lights that belonged to Damon's car.

Matt went to the door. It was Klaus that was there and Matt opened it.
"Tyler came to see me. The poor boy, he seemed quiet distressed. He said Caroline had a terrible accident." Klaus said to with a little sarcasm on his voice.
"You made him do this to her. He would have never done something like this." Matt said defending his friend.
"I'm here to help, Matt. My blood will heal her. Please, ask the Sheriff to invite me inside for me to help Caroline." Klaus said to Matt.
"I know how this game works. You want something in return." The Sheriff stated to the hybrid.
"Just your support." Klaus said to her.
"Come in." The Sheriff said after considering his offer.

Caroline was lying on her side in her bed, with her right arm under her head. Klaus entered the room and smiled slyly at Matt as he passed him.
"Are you going to kill me?" Caroline asked with a weak voice.
"On your birthday? You really think that low of me?" Klaus asked her softly.
"Yes." Caroline said while Klaus examined her bite.
"That looks bad. My apologies, you're what's known as collateral damage. It's nothing personal." Klaus said and he touched her bracelet. "I love birthdays." He told her.
"Yeah. Aren't you like... a billion, or something?" Caroline asked him.
"Well you have to adjust your perception of time when you become a vampire, Caroline and celebrate the fact that you're no longer bound by trivial human conventions. You're free." Klaus explained to her.
"No, I'm dying." Caroline stated to him and Klaus sats on the bed next to her.
"And I could let you die, if that's what you want. If you really believe your existence has no meaning. I thought about it myself, once or twice over the centuries, truth will be told. But I'll let you in on a little secret. There is a whole world out there, waiting for you. Great cities and art and music, genuine beauty. And you can have all of it. You can have a thousand more birthdays. All you have to do is ask." Klaus said whispering to her.
"I don't wanna die." Caroline said and he lifted her head up while he offered his wrist.
"There you go, sweetheart. Have at it." Klaus said while she bite him. "Happy birthday Caroline." He whispered.

Damon had brought Eva and Elena home and they're standing on the porch.
"Thanks for picking us up." Elena said to Damon.
"Anytime. You gonna be okay?" Damon asked Elena worried about her.
"I'm fine. I'm gonna pick up some clothes or you wanna spend the night here?" Eva asked him because she knew that he wanted to speak with her sister alone.
"I will meet you on your room." He said kissing her lightly on her lips and Eva got inside and went to her room to wait for him.

"I'll survive. Somehow, I always do." Elena said to him after Eva got inside.
"You know, Stefan won this round for us today. He pushed Klaus to the edge and Klaus blinked." Damon explained to her.
"Well, his method sucked." Elena stated to him.
"Still, we needed it. Klaus has been calling all the shots, and Stefan beat him at his own game. He was the better villain." Damon continued to explain to Elena.
"Don't sound so impressed." Elena said to him.
"Well, I can't help but be a little proud. Really, tell me, are you gonna be okay?" Damon asked her worried about her.
"I will be fine. Like I said I will survive." Elena said to him with a little smile.
"I know but I'm worried about my little sister." Damon said to her.
"I Know but I'm worried about my big brother because he is hurting too." Elena said with a smile.
"Okay. Let's stop Talking about sad things. " Damon said with a smirk but happy that she considered him a brother. "Let's get inside. Eva waiting for me." They get inside and when they were upstairs they said goodnight to each other. "Goodnight, little sister."
"Good night, Damon." She said and went inside her room while Damon got inside his girlfriend room.

When Damon got inside Eva's room, he saw that she was wearing her pajamas and writing more songs. He went to her and kissed her head.
"How was she?" Eva asked her boyfriend.
"Upset but she is going to be okay." Damon said to her.
"Stay?" Eva asked him and taking his hand and they went to her bed.
"Of course." Damon kissed her on her mouth and they started to take each others clothes and when they were naked, Damon took her to the bed, he had been wanting to strength their bond. Then Damon started to kiss her neck where her mating mark. From what he had heard in the years that he travelled around the world he heard that a mating bond to be more stronger he had to be inside his mate to bite her. When he was finally inside her he bite her and she did the same thing. She had bite him on the mating mark. They were drinking each other's blood until they reached their peaks. Eva cleanded Damon's wound and he did same to her. Damon could see that the mark was almost ready to be seen and the same with his.
"I love you." Damon said and waited for her to recover for them have another round of love making.
"I love you too." Eva said to him and then remembered something she needed to ask him about their mating bond. "Can I ask you something? It is about this mating bond."
"Ask away." Damon said smiling and kissing her on her mark.
"If Stefan and Elena were so in love, why is that they don't have the same marks, like we have?" Eva asked Damon.
"I don't know. Stefan and Elena never shared blood like us, I think." Damon told her and started to think about her question. "Maybe your sister is destined to be with someone else and not my brother." He said to her with a smile and the kissed which lead them to another round of love making.

The next morning, Jenna, Eva, Elena and Jeremy were standing in the foyer of the Gilbert house to say goodbye. Eva and Elena were hugging Jeremy at the same time.
"You're gonna have to let me go, eventually." Jeremy said to his sisters.

"Call everyday, okay?" Eva asked too.
"Take care of yourself, okay?" Jenna asked him too.
"Yeah, okay, all right. Alaric's waiting." Jeremy said and picked up his things to leave.

When Jeremy opened the door Bonnie was arriving.
"Good, you haven't left yet." Bonnie said to him with a smile.

"I came to say goodbye." The tanned girl told him and they hugged each other. Jeremy grabbe his stuff, looked at Eva, Elena and Bonnie one last time and went to the car.

At the Forbes Residence, Caroline woke up, put her hand to her neck, and realised it was healed. Then she saw a little, navy blue, rectangular, velvet-covered box with a note enscribed From Klaus. Inside the box, there was a beautiful and expensive-looking gold bracelet with diamonds.

On the bridge Matt walked towards Eva and Elena who was standing on the Wickery Bridge and looking off it.
"You're not gonna jump, are you?" Matt asked worried about her.
"Thanks for coming. I was just thinking about what you said, about us being stuck." She said to Matt about last night.
"I was buzzed, Elena. I can't be held responsible for being judgmental." Matt said to her.
"We are stuck, Matt." Eva started to tell her friend. "I lost my parents in this bridge and almost lost my twin sister too." She continued to him about being stuck. "That night I broke up with Tyler because I caught him cheating on me and decided I was done for a while with boys, my sister was fighting for her life inside a car where she saw that our parents die. That changed me completely. But then I fell for a vampire that loves me the same as I love him. That made think about my life and I want to be one. The only way that I will not be stuck here is if I let go that girl that was normal because I wanna be a vampire to be with the vampire I love." Eva finished to explain to them. "That girl died here the moment her parents died and her sister almost died too." She looked at her sister and friend.
"I do feel stuck, Matt. I feel like, I've been holding on to the girl that was supposed to die here with her girl who had a normal life, and didn't fall in love with a vampire." Elena explained to him too.
"You're not those girls anymore. It's okay if you want to let them go." Matt said to them.
"Is it? Because I feel like I disappointed her a little like, like I disappointed them. My parents." Elena said to Matt.
"Me too because they hated vampires and I wanna be a vampire to be with the man I love for all the eternity." Eva said to Matt.
"My two cents, as a guy who knew those other girls: you're doing a lot better than you think." Matt said and picked up some dandelions from the ground and held it them out in front of him as he faced the side of the bridge. "Here lies Elena Gilbert. A fun girlfriend and an amazing friend." Matt said tossing the flowers over the bridge and into the river below. The three smile at each other. "Here lies Eva Gilbert. A great friend and the best sister that anyone could have." Matt finished for them with a smile.

Inside the Mystic Grill, Alaric was at the bar, drinking a beer after he left Jeremy at the aeroport when Meredith showed up.
"Thank God, another day drinker. I lost a patient, what's your excuse?" Meredith asked to the vampire hunter.
"I put a kid on a plane." Alaric said about leaving Jeremy on plane to go to Denver.
"Yours?" She asked her with a curious voice.
"No, it's a long story." Alaric said to her with a laugh.

Eva after leaving the bridge went to meet Damon at the woods, after he had received a call from the Sheriff. Liz, Damon and Eva were walking to a crime scene.
"A hiker called it in. My guys got here first." The Sheriff said to Damon and Eva.
"Another hybrid?" Damon asked her worried.
"That's what I thought at first." The Sheriff said to them and then she pointed toward the body lying on the ground in front of them with a stake in his heart. "Brian Walters, the medical examiner." She said to them.
"What's with the stake? He's not a vampire." Damon said because the man was human when was alive.
