Bonus 2: Technical Difficulties
It was morning at the Elemental Temple, inside the temple and on the training field were XL, Kix and Diamond, XL was currently using his Xenotrix as a communicator, thanks to Xenix, to talk with other Xeno Agents.
"Alright guys, hope you can get here soon, you'll love the type of training we came up with" XL said.
"Sounds good to me, I'll be there soon with Tails and Knuckles" Came Sonic's voice from the Xenotrix's communicator.
"Same here, me and Twilight will be there shortly" said Josh from the Xenotrix as XL switched off the communicator and looked to Kix.
"So bro, ready to get some training in with your Idol?" XL asked as he smirked at Kix, who was excited.
"Ready? Ready?! I was born ready!" Kix said as he let out small sparks of electricity, showing how excited he was.
Diamond rolled her eyes at this while smirking, she and XL knew how much Kix adored Sonic.
Suddenly they heard 2 loud booms in the distance. They looked outside the temple and saw 2 super fast blurs heading towards them, the 3 got their distance as the blurs stopped in front of them.
The blurs showing it was Sonic, who had a hold on Tails and Knuckles, and Josh in his Speed Strike Dragon form who held Twilight bridal style, Josh put Twilight down as she tidied up her hair and glasses which were a mess from the wind during the ride.
"Sup Guys" Sonic said as he gave a wave to the 3 guardians, he then saw Josh and smirked, "Hey Josh, long time no see!" he said, to which Josh smirked back and turned back to human as he and Sonic did a high five.
"Same to you Sonic" Josh said as he and Sonic did a fist bump.
"Huh, I forgot that you mentioned you knew Sonic before" XL said as Kix was just shocked from hearing that, "What?!" he then looked to XL with a scowl, "How come you never told ME this?! We could've met Sonic WAY sooner!" Kix complained.
"Hey I'm sorry ok?" XL chuckled nervously as he then faced Sonic and Josh, "Ok guys, this training we are gonna do today is mostly involving Kix" XL explained.
"Ever since Kix got his new powers, the nanites, he can build things with his body, so I thought if we trained up his abilities with our move set and powers, he'll be able to get stronger, faster and learn to make more builds".
The 3 Freedom Fighters, Josh and Twilight look to each other before smiling at XL, "Well what are we waiting for? Let's see what he can do!" Sonic said as he smirks, Knuckles pounds his fists together to show he is ready and Josh stretches to get ready to fight.
"I'll stay by the side and analyse Kix's builds to see how he battles" Tails said as he walks to the side of the braille field, "So will I, I also want to see how XL's aliens face off against his builds" Twilight said as she joined Tails on the sidelines, Diamond also joining as she just wanted to relax for today.
"Well alright then, you ready Kix?" XL asked as he grouped up with Sonic, Knuckles and Josh, the four fighters looked at Kix who smirks as he takes a battle stance, "I'm ready" Kix said.
They stared down at each other for a few seconds before Knuckles went first, he charged at Kix with his fists ready to attack, Kix prepared himself before Knuckles suddenly jumped up and dived into the ground, digging through the ground and disappearing into the ground.
"Huh?" Kix looked around, trying to predict where his opponent is, he doesn't notice the ground moving behind him as Knuckles leaps out of the ground and punches Kix in the back, having Kix fall onto the ground face first, he groans before getting back up and focusing on his nanites.
"Shock Slammers!" Kix yelled as he built his Shock Slammers and made a swing at Knuckles, the echidna braced himself as he got knocked back from the giant mechanical fist, however Knuckles landed on his feet and smirks, "So these are the Shock Slammers huh? I gotta admit, they look tough" Knuckles said as he smirked before charging at Kix once more, Kix was more prepared as he slams one of his mechanical hands into the ground, making a short tremor, making Knuckles lose his balance, as Knuckles tried to regain his balance, Kix then charged with his right fist reeled back before throwing the punch at Knuckles.
Knuckles got hit but placed his feet on the ground, he managed to grab Kix's fist as he struggled against the weight of the fist pushing against him, but then he smirked, "Your definitely tough kid, but you should know, I'm as strong as Sonic is fast!" Suddenly Knuckles lifts up Kix by the shock slammer and swung him away.
Kix panicked before his Shock Slammers shrunk down into his body as Kix yelled out, "Storm Stompers!", then he built the Storm Stompers which allowed him to land on his feet safely.
Tails and Twilight awed at the mechanical limbs Kix showed off just now, their scientific minds trying to figure out just how the nanites worked.
Kix balanced himself on his Storm Stompers before he heard something coming towards him, he looked to suddenly see Sonic running at him, Sonic then leaped into the air and used a homing attack on Kix.
Kix tried to dodged but was too late as Sonic landed the homing attack on the electric hedgehog, "GAH!" Kix stumbled back as he tried to balance himself again.
Sonic landed on his feet before running around Kix in circles, wind started to pick up as Kix felt himself being lifted into the air, Kix was trying to think of a solution.
'Storm Stompers can't work here, neither can Shock Slammers or Thunder Blade, I need a new build! Come on! Think!' Kix said as he concentrated on building something new, in his mind he can see blueprints forming together. When they finally lined up, he saw a build that looked like wings with jet turbines in them.
His Storm Stompers then shrank down as the blue circuit lines appeared on his back, he then created the large wing build on his back, he smirks before announcing the build's name, "STORM FLYERS!".
The wings engines activated as they were powerful enough for Kix to escape the blue cyclone Sonic had him trapped in.
XL smirked at this, "Looks like Kix can fly now, lets see if he can take on Firefly" XL said as he was about to use the Xenotrix, only for Josh to stop him.
"Hang on X, lemme take a crack at this" Josh said as he walked forward before announcing, "I'm Going Dragon!" suddenly 2 rings appeared around his waist as an orange ring went upwards while a white ring went downwards.
Josh's skin gets covered in orange fur with black strips as he grows large black claws on his knuckles, he growls a tail that is similar to a tigers tail, his wins appear being orange with white on the inside and black stripes on the edge of his wings, his black hair grows more and becomes spiky as he then grows Tiger ears on his head, his eyes also changed to having a feral like as his iris is shaped like a felines eye, the diamond on his chest is black and white with a small yellow diamond in the center, his feet also look like tiger paws.
"TIGER CLAW!" Josh yells out in a deeper and rougher voice as he lets out a growl and points at Kix in the air.
"Lemme tell ya something Kix Lightning The Hedgehog! Who is flying in the air with giant metal wings! Tiger Claw is gonna bring the pain!" Josh said before letting out a roar similar to a tiger as he flew into the air, charging at Kix.
Kix does his best to dodge as Josh misses Kix, Josh roars in anger as he charges again with his spiked fists aimed at him, Kix then aimed the jet turbines on his wings at Josh before announcing, "Storm Tunnel!" Suddenly a large blast of air is blasted at Josh, making him lose his balance in the air as Josh misses again, he lands face first into the ground, his entire head somehow planted in the ground, everyone could hear his muffled yelling.
XL deadpanned at this before activating the Xenotrix and selecting his choice, he then presses the core down and transforms.
The Xenotrix glows brightly as XL gains reptilian eyes and horns sprout from his head, large dragon wings then appear on his back which then wrap around him, he spins in midair before the wings open up again, showing XL now transformed as Dragonox as he finishes the transformation with a dragon roar.
"Dragonox!" Dragonox announced before flying into the air, Kix sees this and uses the same move he used on Josh, however since Dragonox is bigger, it wasn't very effective.
Dragonox charged in horns first as Kix braced for impact, Dragonox collided into Kix as he brought him out of the sky and into the ground, Kix brought the Storm Flyers back into his body as he rolled on the ground before standing back up, he looked to see his opponents, Dragonox landing on his feet with his wings spread out, ready to attack.
Josh had pulled his head out of the ground as he glared at Kix with a tiger growl and brought one of his claws up to intimidate Kix.
Knuckles stood behind Kix's view pounding his knuckles together, ready to unleash his punches.
Sonic had gotten into a running stance, ready to let loose with his speed.
Kix smirked in confidence as his brain was already thinking of new blueprints for a build.
Kix was counting down in his head as he got ready to unleash his newest build.

Dragonox started to build up fire in his mouth.

Josh spread out his wings and raised his claws.

Knuckles started to build up a wind-up punch.

Sonic started making a figure eight motion as he prepared to unleash his speed.

Kix put out his right arm before shouting the name of his build.
"THUNDER CANNON" he yelled before his arm started to build metal around it, now replacing his arm was a giant cannon like gun, the metal around the head of the cannon was blue while the rest was metallic gray with the back of the cannon looking like it can split apart.
The others were surprised by the new build but attacked nonetheless, Sonic ran ahead, Knuckles charged in with swinging his punch, Dragonox Shot a fireball at Kix and Josh flew in, swinging punches wildly.
Kix aimed the bottom of the cannon near the ground as the back extends and splits apart, it then digged up part of the ground and everyone heard something being loaded up, Kix then aimed the cannon at the incoming Sonic and fires the cannon, the ammo being the chunk of ground his cannon dug up.
Sonic didn't have time to dodge as he took the hit and crashed into a wall, Knuckles tried to punch Kix, however the lightning hedgehog used his build as a shield before using it to whack Knuckles away, it was struck at Knuckles face, knocking him out, Josh tried to unleash a flurry of punches on him, however it failed as Kix shielded against the attack.
"Grr! Let me tell ya something Kix Lightning the Hedgehog, Elemental Guardian of Electricity! Stop hiding behind your big gu and fight me like a man!" Josh said as he roared like a tiger.
Kix smirked before he leapt backwards and pulled back his Thunder Cannon build before making his Shock Slammers and unleashed his own flurry of punches on Josh.
However the two kept parrying eachothers punches with their own as they kept punching and punching, trying to make the other mess up somehow.
Kix then unleashed an electric blast in one of his punches, shocking Josh as his scale like fur stood on end, Kix then winded up a punch and hit Josh, sending the dragon teen in a wall which dust surrounded him, after the dust cleared, Kix saw Josh was back in human form, knocked out, Kix then turned to Dragonox who had flown up above him.
"Not bad bro! You're getting better! Tell you what, if you can find a way to avoid getting hit by my next attack, snacks are on me!" Dragonox yelled before he started to charge up a fireball in his mouth, the fire growing bigger and bigger as he charged.
Kix began thinking, how can he avoid this next attack? He could simply jump out of the way, but that would be too easy, he can't tank the hit, he is supposed to avoid it, then Kix got an idea, he started to build electricity into his Shock Slammers as they glowed bright.
Dragonox then yelled, "FIRE SPECIAL MOVE: DRACONIC CANNON!" Dragonox then unleashed a massive stream of fire, the start of the stream shaped like a dragons head.
Kix smirked before unleashing his new idea, "ELECTRIC SPECIAL MOVE: LIGHTING LASSO!" Kix yelled as he formed a long rope of lightning in his Shock Slammer hands, it was a lasso made of pure electricity, he started swinging it before he threw it, it caught the head of the fire stream and Kix, with all of his strength, redirected it towards Dragonox, who was shocked at the display.
"Oh".
Dragonox quickly shielded himself with his wings as he got hit by his own attack, but it wasn't enough as he got blasted down.
Dragonox crashed into the ground and after a few beeps were heard, blue light covered him and turned back into XL, who groaned as he lifted himself up.
"Man, that was rough" he said as Kix approached him, "Still, you did great, way to go TechnoVolt" XL said, calling Kix by his hero name.
"Thanks big bro, but now you better pay up, I'm feeling for some mega fast food" Kix said as he left the training field and the Elemental Temple, heading for Xernia City.
XL looked to the others part of the exercise, Sonic groaned as he got up, Knuckles was still knocked out and Josh was starting to come to.
"Well, looks like Kix is gonna be just fine with his abilities" XL said as he smirked, ready to see the future for his brother.
