The Loud Ark: Chapter 18 - Hope for Land

The Ark floated above the Water-covered Earth, the 40 days and 40 nights of rain was only just the beginning. The Survivors must now wait for the water to recede until land appears. Lincoln sighed as he and the fairies rested on the railings.

"The rain stopped, but no sign of land," Lincoln sighed.

"Don't worry, at least we have each other," Tinkerbell replied. "I'm starting to worry everyone is starting to get grumpy and grouchy stuck on this boat."

"You're telling me along with dealing with the smells in here!" Lynn Jr. shouted from the window complaining of the smells of the animals.

"It will be already Lynn, It's only a matter of time!" Lincoln replied.

"So where do you think we're going?" Silvermist asked.

"Hopefully somewhere Dry and Soon once we reach land!" Rosetta answered.

"Other than being cooped up on this boat!" Iridessa added.

They saw Vidia flying back down from her patrols as Fawn asked, "Did you see anything Vidia?"

"No land so far I'm afraid," Vidia sighed.

"Look at the bright side, we can hang out with my friends and family as we can," Lincoln said.

On the deck, Bobby, Lori, Leni, Lola, and Carlota were in their bikinis sunbathing, his friends playing volleyball, Luna, Luan, Benny, and Sam playing shuffleboard, Lily and Carlitos were in the inflatable kiddy pool, Lana, Lucy, CJ, Carl, and Lisa were relaxing under the Umbrella.

Then something happened the Ark began to shake and rumble everyone yelped as they held on and tried to keep balance, the Animals were scared as they roared, growled, bellowed, screeched, and squawked until it stopped.

"What happened?!" Lincoln exclaimed.

"Guys, I think we hit land!" Fawn shouted.

Everyone gathered where Lincoln was as they looked down to see the tops of a mountain rising above the water

At the end of the hundred and fifty days, the water had gone down, and on the seventeenth day of the seventh month, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.

"We are now on the summit of a Mountain," said Lisa.

"So that means the water is receding and land will come?!" Lana added.

"See God has not Forgotten us guys!" Lincoln said reassuringly.

"But how long till that happens?" Luna asked

"It will that more weeks," Lisa answered causing everyone to groan in frustration as their parents arrived.

"Kids what happened?!" Lynn Sr. asked.

"We hit Land!, But we can't get off," Luan sighed.

"Come on kids, we can wait for more," Lynn Sr. said reassuringly. "Louds never Give Up right?"

"So how do we know there is land?" Lola asked.

"I know how about we send a bird out to see if there is land?!" Fawn suggested.

"You know that is a great idea?!" Lisa added.

"I'll check which bird would be a perfect candidate to release," said Lincoln as they went into the Hold.

The waters continued to recede until the tenth month, and on the first day of the tenth month, the tops of the mountains became visible. Now with the Ark resting on Mount Ararat to see if there is land. Lincoln must send out a Bird to see if there is land.
