The Loud Ark: Chapter 19 - The Sign
After forty days Lincoln Noah opened a window he had made in the ark and sent out a raven, and it kept flying back and forth until the water had dried up from the earth.
Lincoln was near the window as he held the Common Raven in his hands.
"Okay Raven go out and find some Land," he said to the Raven and let the Raven off his hands and flew out the window to find land. They waited a few days until the raven came back with nothing.
"Nothing," sighed Lincoln as everyone groaned. "But Don't worry we can try again?!"
"I think he's too tired from all that flying," replied Lucy as the Raven perched on her left hand.
"Well, we'll just have to send out another bird instead," Lincoln added.
"How about a Dove?" Rusty suggested that one of the Barbary White Doves made a nest in his hair.
"Let's see if it's up to the task," Lincoln wondered. He picked up the Dove from Rusty's Hair and released it out the Window.
Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground.
But the dove could find nowhere to perch because there was water over all the surface of the earth; so it returned to Lincoln Noah in the ark. He reached out his hand and took the dove and brought it back to himself in the ark.
Regardless, the Dove could find no place to perch, and the people could not see any sight of land in any direction. Thus, it would retreat back to the ark.
Everyone was on the Deck waiting and waiting and beginning to get restless.
"Lana, have you seen anything out there?" Rita asked Lana from the Roof.
"Same as always, Mom just the ocean!" Lana sighed.
"It's alright Lana, you can come down now," Rita reassured her.
"Oh, this is Hopeless!" Lola whined.
"When will this flood end? Our food supply can only last out a little while longer." Lynn Jr. added.
"We have been stuck in the boats for months!" Rosetta added as well.
"Everyone do not despair, Surely, the lord would not have us build this ark to survive the storm only to have us perish in the calm," Lincoln said reassuringly to everyone that Aslan had not forgotten them.
" Lincoln is right, Even if Aslan has been silent, he will give us a sign to let us know that there will be land," Lincoln replied. "We just have to keep our faith?"
"It's true we must keep faith and wait," Ronnie Anne said in agreement.
"You do have a point, Bro, I will keep going out each day to look until I find at least the smallest island!" Lana exclaimed.
"I'll help as well!" Vidia volunteered.
"Say how about after a week we send a dove out again?!" Lynn Sr. suggested. Everyone murmured in agreement.
"Well, it's settled! We'll try again!" Lincoln agreed with everyone.
Lincoln Noah waited seven more days and again sent out the dove from the ark
"Okay try and find some land this time," Lincoln said to the Dove then a certain Tinker Fairy interrupted him.
"Wait! Lincoln! I wanna go! I could help the dove!" Tinkerbell said.
"Are you sure, Tink?" Lincoln asked.
"I'm Sure, we been by your side since we met and I can do this" Lincoln replied as she hopped on the Dove's Back.
"Well, If you say so? Good Luck!" Exclaimed Lincoln as he released the Dove and Fairy sending them off to find Land.
Tink and the Dove flew about for hours above the waters as they were getting exhausted and tired Tinkerbell sighed, "Still no land."
Soon Tinkerbell was fast asleep. Suddenly the cooing of the Dove woke her up and something caught her eye
"Huh? Is that Land?" Tinkerbell asked. Then she gasped seeing a small island with a small tree growing. "I don't believe it! Fly down there!"
The Fairy urged the Dove to fly down to the Tree on the island. That evening Lincoln and Tink's friends were on the deck scouting for the Dove and their friend Tinkerbell.
Vidia stopped to see something coming and snouted to the others, "Guys! I see Tink coming back!"
They ran to where Vidia was on the railing and they saw Tinkerbell riding the dove back to the ark as it perched on Lincoln's hand. When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf! Then Lincoln Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth.
"We're back! And look what we found!" Tinkerbell exclaimed. "We found Land!"
"Really? Land?!" Lincoln exclaimed.
"They must be from an Olive Tree," Rosetta said checking the leaves.
Fawn petted the Dove and said to it, "You did well out there!"
The fairies cheered and hugged Tink as Lincoln hugged the Dove.
"It seems you're right, It all takes some Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust," said Lincoln.
"And you are always the Man with the Plan," Tinkerbell replied back.
Lincoln and the fairies went inside the ark to tell everyone of the Good News as Lincoln shouted, "Everyone! We Found Land!"
Everyone stood up and gasped in joy.
"You mean actual land, Son?!" asked his Father.
"That's right here's the Proof!" Lincoln exclaimed as he took the Olive branch from the dove and He presented it to everyone who cheered and the animals cheered as well with their own animal language.
"This is great news we must be very close to land somewhere!" exclaimed Lana.
"Yes Lana if you believe in God he will save us all," Lincoln replied to one of his younger sisters.
"And you protected us too," Ronnie Anne added as she hugged Lincoln.
"You're a real hero now, Lincoln," said Lori placing her arms around his neck.
"You were right as always, buddy. We just have to keep believing!" added Clyde.
"You should know as much Me and my family built this ark and saved everyone from the flood, But who was God Aslan who has saved us," Lincoln explained to everyone. "He loves everyone
that he considers them as special in his eyes as long we have faith in them just as I have."
Soon everyone begins to gather around as music begins to play.
