*A/N - Sorry for the delay, Finals were a hassle. Hopefully, things get better, and updates are more frequent. On another note, Kingdom Hearts 4. Enough said. I do feel for the casual fans that are not up to date with the entire story. Hopefully, we get a Back-Cover type of movie for the Union Cross and Dark Road story for people to watch. But they will in the meantime still need to do a bit of watching on the Union Cross story and having an idea for Final Fantasy vs XIII.
As for my take, I'm extremely excited for what's to come in Quadratum and how Sora will learn to adapt to this new world and new reality. I also really liked after watching it a hundred times is that Sora did not once in the trailer smile. I hope we get a somewhat dark and character-developing story while also bringing in the Disney aspects to the story. I of course still love Donald and Goofy but maybe seeing Sora on his own for a bit will be nice like in Remind where it was just him. Plus, Kingdom Hearts has always had moments of dark and serious moments I mean Vexen got murdered by Axel right in front of Sora. Or like the serious moments between Roxas and Riku. Basically, a mix of serious and lighthearted stuff would be nice just not overly restrictive like in KH3 with the Disney worlds. But that's just a bit of my take on KH4 getting announced.
I will say that I've recently come across the Sleeping Realm Theory... holy crap. It's truly scary.
I've also been brushing up on my knowledge of the Fabula Nova Crystallis arc in Final Fantasy since it originally included FFvsXIII.
As for how KH4 trailer will affect my stories... it won't. At least for now. If anything does change, I'll put out a notice and get a general idea for what people think would be best for the story and the direction it's going. But first I need to update the story more.
Also, important detail that I should've mentioned when starting this story. Sora for this story will be aged up to 18. Back when I started the idea of the story I figured Sora being 18 wouldn't be too crazy given that we weren't sure how long Sora was gone and plus we aren't even sure his actual age in the game, so for my stories involving Sora will have him be 18 just to make sure all things are good. With that lengthy explanation out of the way I hope you enjoy this update and stay tuned for more.
*In the Northwest of Stormterror's Lair while Sora and Eula are about to clash with the Heartless wolf*
A young man wearing grey boots with green pants and a yellow tank top styled shirt with silver hair hidden under the hood of a dark jacket with red eyes. The boy had yellow gloves while carrying a steel sword and a sack full of herbs, Calla Lilies. This young man was named Razor and is a dear friend of Andrius. Taken in by Andrius at a young age, Razor has become accustomed to the wolf pack that took him in but after some time the current Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, Varka, helped integrate Razor with humans improving his communication skills. Now Razor tends to act as a friend to both Andrius and the Knights of Favonius helping keep the lands around Mondstadt safe for both wolf and man.
Currently, Razor was gathering herbs that can be used to create a concoction that would help calm and help Andrius since he was not feeling well. Along the way, Razor picked up some Calla lilies which proved to be useful for Andrius based on past experiences. Andrius had confided in Razor that when he woke up today, he was not feeling well and sensed as if something was wrong. Razor asked if it may have been stress that caused him to feel ill this morning to which Andrius agreed hesitantly.
Razor had taken off not that long after on his journey to Stormterror's lair since many herbs located there had healing aspects to them. Gathering a bunch of herbs in his pouch, Razor had spent most of the day there and was just about to gather a bunch of other herbs when he noticed that the sky had darkened. The wind had also started to pick up with dark clouds covering the sky, however, Razor turned to look towards Wolvendom and noticed that that area was almost completely enveloped in darkness. Lightning seemed to strike down all around the land covering Wolvendom and giving off an intimidating aura. Realizing that something must be happening in Wolvendom, Razor quickly closes his pouch full of herbs and ties it around his waist while sprinting back to Andrius.
"Andrius!... In trouble" Razor said while running back to Wolvendom praying that nothing bad has happened to Andrius and hoping to make it in time.
*Back with Sora and Eula in Wolvendom*
"Eula, we need to take that wolf down, now! It's different compared to the other Heartless we have fought. We need to destroy it before it becomes stronger or worse retreats away" Sora yelled out preparing to stop the Heartless wolf.
"Understood, we cannot allow for it to leave Wolvendom. Mark my words beast, we will destroy you and vengeance will be mine!" Eula exclaimed leaving Sora a bit confused about that last part Eula said but brushed it to the side ready to get to work.
"Eula go right along the hole and I'll go left! Confuse the Heartless so we can find a weak spot!" Sora called out to Eula while twirling the keyblade in his hand.
"Hmm, let's go!" Eula replied while summoning her claymore and getting into an offensive stance.
Ready to strike at the Heartless wolf, Sora took off left while Eula at the same time went right.
Sora, carrying his keyblade over his shoulder while running observed the large dark wolf managing to notice the creature's features that really did leave an impression of Andrius. Speaking of Andrius, Sora's eyes darted to where Andrius was and found him still hunched over trying to recover his strength.
Before Sora could begin to worry about Andrius, the large Heartless wolf raised its head and let out a loud howl while blotches of darkness appeared to be falling off its body. Once the blotches hit the ground dark portals seemed to take form with shadows swarming out of the portals.
Realizing the impending problem that the shadows could pose; Sora hurriedly quickened his pace and scanned the Heartless wolf for any opening. Upon coming up on the wolf's backside, Sora noticed that on the wolf's right hind leg there appeared to be a spot around where the leg connects with the rest of the body that was significantly darker than the rest of the body.
Sora continued to sprint around the wolf while spotting Eula also on the right side of the hole coming closer to him. All of sudden, the Heartless wolf then began to growl while turning its body to look at Eula on the verge of jumping at her.
Not about to let that happen, Sora raised his keyblade and yelled out a spell that would give him and Eula time to plan their attack.
"Confuse!" Sora yelled while raising his keyblade in the air and the end of the blade glowing.
The spell hit the large wolf who seemed to stop its aggressive growl and just stare at Eula while she was staring back at the creature. Realizing that something happened to the wolf, Eula double-timed it to meet Sora on the other side of the hole where the two would ultimately end up meeting. Sora then called out to Eula grabbing her attention.
"Eula! There's a spot on its hind leg on my side. The spot is darker than the whole body" Sora yelled out informing Eula of the newly found spot of interest.
Smirking at Sora's answer, Eula was coming closer and closer to Sora until a few seconds later when she reached him while looking at the wolf still staring at her menacingly.
"Sora, what did you do to the wolf? And why is it still staring at us?" Eula asked still with her claymore out in case the Heartless wolf would lunge at the two.
"I cast a confuse spell on the wolf. It should last for about a minute longer and the wolf is trying to focus on us but is still under the confuse spell's influence. In any case, did you find anything on your side?" Sora asked hoping Eula spotted anything distinct on the wolf.
Shaking her head, Eula let out a sigh before replying to Sora's question.
"No, I did not see anything out of the ordinary. The wolf for the most part is very identical to Andrius even with the small distinct features on him being copied by this Heartless wolf" Eula said while getting Sora up to date on what she saw.
Right before Sora could speak up the Heartless wolf started shaking its head while still staring at the two trying to get over the confusion. Once Sora realized that the wolf was regaining consciousness, he confided in Eula about what to do next.
"Eula, we need to hit the wolf at its hind leg. That's the only spot that seems to be different from the rest of the body. Unless we weaken somewhere else let's work on that spot" Sora said while getting ready to sprint around the large Heartless and divert its attention.
"Understood, you distract it and I'll work on freezing its legs down for us to strike," Eula said while twirling her claymore into an offensive stance.
Having a plan set in motion, the duo took off instantly getting some distance away from each other. Sora, having gotten several meters away from Eula, set to casting a couple of Fire spells at the wolf who had now gotten over its confusion and was snarling right at Sora. The Fire spells hit the Heartless wolf right in the face managing to leave the wolf's face burnt with fire managing to stay around the wolf's eyes giving it an even more intimidating look.
The wolf then let out a loud devastating howl that shook the entire circular room causing Sora to take a few steps back to regain his defensive stance. The large wolf then lunged at Sora who had to quickly raise his keyblade with both of his hands to defend which helped but due to the impact of the wolf rushing at Sora, he was sent flying back into the wall with a large boom and left a large impact in the wall.
Letting out a pained groan, Sora lightly pushed himself out of the hole in the wall where he was thrown and looked over at the wolf to see what it was doing. The wolf on its part was growling at Sora ready to take a bite out of him. At the same time, Sora without even thinking raised his keyblade in the air and yelled out a spell he wasn't sure would work but gave it a go.
"Stop!"
Sora quickly shot his head up and observed if the spell had any effect on the wolf. To Sora's relief, the Time spell did affect the wolf having a crystal with roman numerals depicting the time on a clock, but the spell did not completely stop the wolf's movement as it was slowly coming straight at Sora with its mouth open ready to take a bite out of the key bearer. Realizing that he had no time to waste, Sora rolled out of the way and to the right of the wolf while winding his arm back with the keyblade ready to give the wolf a good thrashing.
With his body in an offensive stance, Sora slashed at the wolf several times in the head managing to leave a devastating gash on the wolf. Sora then began to swing at the wolf's front left paw leaving no time to waste.
Having had plenty of experience, Sora knew how much force he needed to use to greatly damage the wolf's paw so that it would be stunned or limping which could leave an opening for him and Eula to hurt the wolf even more.
Bringing the keyblade down on the wolf's paw, Sora continued to slash back and forth at the paw leaving no time in between his barrage of Quick slashes and the wolf to move slowly towards Sora. Realizing that he didn't have much time left until the Time spell would wear off and picked up the pace on his speed and slashes against the wolf.
Before Sora could slam his keyblade onto the wolf's paw, the wolf let out a roar that not only shook Sora but managed to shake its own body. Clouds of darkness swarmed around the wolf's body soon covering the entirety of the wolf.
Realizing something strange was happening, Sora quickly backed away from the wolf and looked at where the wolf's head should've been. What Sora saw were yellow eyes maliciously staring back at him. The wolf then let out what sounded like a gruff bark and moved its body to the right side before immediately stopping.
Unsure of what was happening, Sora was about to shout out to Eula who was still a good way away from the wolf. However, the next thing Sora knew was that he had closed his eyes for a split second only to find himself staring at the wolf from a different point of view. That point of view being that Sora was staring at the wolf upside down.
Letting out several coughs while feeling like he got the wind knocked out of him, Sora began to realize what had just happened. The wolf was in a completely different stance from what Sora remembered seconds ago given that the wolf was now staring straight at Eula and the cloud of darkness covering its body was gone completely.
The wolf must've used a spinning attack which caught Sora off guard and knocked him back several meters while also causing him to blackout for a few seconds. Scrambling to get back on his feet, Sora called out to the wolf who had turned its attention back to him and was ready to rip him to shreds. Before that could happen the wolf then straightened its back and whipped its head into the air while letting a great deal of darkness drip out of its mouth.
Seeing the Heartless wolf do this, Sora let out a small "Uh-oh" and continued to sprint away having now definitely gotten the wolf's attention. The large Heartless wolf let out a distorted howl that shook the entirety of the circular stadium. All of a sudden, numerous pools of darkness seemed to spawn all around the area beneath the wolf spawning many shadows to clamber out of the pool of darkness.
Eula on her part had run into many shadows that tried to overwhelm her by surrounding the area around her. Not letting the Heartless get the upper hand, Eula decided to swing her claymore around her at a complete 360-degree angle and slashed the shadows in half letting their bodies dissolve into darkness.
Taking notice of more shadows making their way towards her, Eula made short work of the impending Heartless managing to swing a horizontal slash at one shadow before shifting her body to bring her claymore down into a vertical slash. Eula then swung her claymore to her right side before preparing to use one of her abilities.
Targeting a group of shadows, Eula used her Icetide Vortex elemental skill by taking a step with her left leg while twirling in place and moving her entire body in a jumping motion while bringing her claymore swinging at an incredible speed. Plus, several ice blades were summoned above her that slammed into the shadows stabbing them instantly while a veil of ice encased the Heartless letting Eula quickly swing her claymore right through the frozen shadows killing them with ease.
Noticing that more shadows had appeared, Eula decided to pick up the pace on her attacks and side-step several Heartless while bringing her claymore down onto the shadows killing them instantly, Eula then stabbed her claymore into a shadow that became lodged in the ground which forced Eula to maneuver her footwork and kick several shadows back while punching any Heartless that tried to jump at her. The shadows that tried to strike at her face were met with a fist to the face by the beautiful and graceful Reconnaissance Captain.
Realizing that more shadows were moving towards her, Eula rolled out of the way landing back on her feet and twirling around several other shadows before side sweeping several Heartless out of her way. Continuing her graceful yet fantastic footwork, Eula really did appear to be dancing around the Heartless while also implementing her legwork to strike at the impending Heartless.
Finally finding an opening in the mass of Heartless around her, Eula was able to grab onto her claymore and forced it out of the ground and swung it around her clearing the area and giving her a moment to breathe. However, that moment would vanish instantly as she looked over at what was happening to Sora and realized that he was thrown back several meters while the large wolf began to stare menacingly at her.
Worry began to cover Eula's heart as she realized that the wolf was targeting her next. However, before she could react, the wolf then raised its head and let out a distorted howl. Following the howl, many pools of darkness appeared out of nowhere with numerous shadows crawling out of the pools.
Eula at that moment realized that both she and Sora couldn't possibly deal with all the shadows and the large wolf at the same time. Deciding that the best course of action to take would be to take out the wolf first. Eula then ran towards Sora who was scrambling away from the wolf who had turned its attention back onto him.
Back with Sora, he was running away from the Heartless wolf who was furious with him given that he had hurt the wolf's front leg a great deal. If he was to slow down even for a second, the wolf would for sure ensnare Sora in its mouth ready to tear him to shreds.
Sora had many thoughts running through his head at this moment while being chased by the Heartless wolf. But one idea he had was to use Strike Raid against the wolf to slow it down or at least start to injure it. Feeling confident with his idea, Sora continued to sprint away from the wolf before gaining a burst of speed with his flowmotion ability to get ahead of the wolf while using Strike Raid several times managing to hit the wolf straight in the head.
The wolf winced at the keyblade hitting its face managing to blind it for a second and having gashes appear on his face. Becoming irritated at Sora's actions, the wolf let out a distorted bark while barely slowing down.
Realizing that he wasn't getting anywhere, Sora knew that he needed to end this quickly before the wolf spawned even more shadows that could overwhelm not only him but Eula.
Eula was his main concern since the Heartless here were not that difficult to deal with. The shadows were just a nuisance that got in the way. However, if the shadows were to start grouping up, they could form into Demon Tides which would make things difficult to deal with. On top of that, the Heartless wolf was still a big problem that needed to be dealt with. Once Sora was done analyzing the situation around him, he was ready to start fighting back against the wolf head-on.
However, before Sora could begin his plan of attack, he noticed Eula running straight at him leaving him bewildered. Sora immediately called out to her.
"Wait! Eula what are you doing?!" Sora yelled getting Eula's attention.
"Coming to help you! We need to deal with the wolf now before things get even worse" Eula replied running with her claymore floating behind her back.
Realizing that the two agreed, Sora nodded back at Eula while calling out to her again and keeping up his speed from being caught by the Heartless wolf.
"Eula! Get ready I'm going to run the wolf into the wall!" Sora called out which stunned Eula for a second before nodding back and picking up her speed.
Sora looked in front of him and noticed how close he was to the wall before coming up with a quick plan. The plan was to run straight at the wall having the wolf follow him only for Sora to use his flowmotion and scale the wall letting the wolf slam into it. Which would allow for Sora to stab his keyblade right into the wolf's head or at least let him start slashing at the head.
With no other options to go by now, Sora ran straight at the wall with the wolf inches away from biting onto this hoodie only for the wolf to slam into the wall headfirst causing the whole circular room to rumble from the wolf's impact.
Sora had managed to escape the wolf's mouth and jumped on the ledge of the circular wall only to have summoned his keyblade and brought it down in a stabbing motion towards the head of the wolf ready to kill it once and for all.
Shplitch~
The kingdom key had been stabbed into the Heartless wolf's head only to have it start thrashing around forcing Sora to be hanging on for dear life while the wolf was moving around.
Eula having watched the entire encounter was left speechless for a second only to have to dodge the wolf thrashing around and notice Sora hanging onto his weapon which was lodged in the wolf's head.
Not wanting to let Sora deal the brunt of the wolf on his own, Eula then summoned her claymore in hand and began targeting the leg where Sora had mentioned looked compared to the other legs on the wolf's body. However, the wolf was moving around so fast that Eula couldn't find a way to get up close to the wolf and stab it in the leg.
Coming up with a backup plan to use against the wolf, Eula was about to call out to Sora when she spotted Andrius getting back on his feet while still slightly limping from his injuries when the Heartless surrounded him.
Andrius managed to stand on all four of his legs before letting out a howl that echoed the entire stadium-like room which also caused his body to start glowing even brighter than before. Andrius then hunched down in a menacing stance before starting to sprint towards the Heartless wolf.
However, what Eula didn't know was that Andrius was using a charged attack where he runs straight at his target and manages to strike at his opponent.
In a matter of a split second, Andrius shot forward at the Heartless wolf managing to make contact and slam the wolf back into the wall. Andrius then started to glow even brighter and let out a howl before twisting his front leg and spinning right in front of the downed wolf. But Andrius was able to slash at the Heartless wolf with his claws creating a large gash in the wolf that was also on his front left leg. The same leg that Sora was able to damage significantly when he slowed down the wolf from attacking him.
Taking in everything that had just happened on such short notice, Eula snapped out of her confusion and was about to strike at the downed wolf but realized that Sora was on the top of the wolf's head...And Andrius slammed the wolf into the wall...
"Sora!"
Eula sprinted to get closer to where the wolf was while slicing several shadows that tried to get in her way. Upon making her way closer to the Heartless wolf, Eula quickly scanned the area to see if Sora was injured only to find a sight to behold.
There Sora was with not a single scratch on him or even dirt nor rubble from the impact on the wall staining his clothes. However, the part about Sora that left Eula wide-eyed and aghast was that Sora was floating. He was floating in the air without a glider, or anything attached to his back. Sora was just floating in the air with his weapon in his hand and looking down at the Heartless wolf being attacked by Andrius.
Confused beyond belief, Eula was stumped on what to say or even what to think about regarding Sora floating in the air. Sora immediately felt a pair of eyes on him and turned around to see Eula still staring at him. Sora then called out to Eula addressing the wolf situation.
"Eula! I didn't see Andrius come charging in. Good thing I noticed him at the last second otherwise I would've been sent flying into the wall" Sora said while having a cheeky grin on his face while still staring at Eula's bewildered face.
"H-how? How are you floating in the air without a glider?!" Eula yelled while still staring back at Sora.
"I... I'm... oh man. Donald's gonna kill me" Sora muttered while realizing that his flying ability was not something accustomed in this world and that he made a mistake for using it to avoid the wolf being slammed into the wall. Sora may have a great deal of experience fighting, but he needs to be better and learn to keep his otherworldly status a secret. Not only for himself but the people of this world.
Pushing those thoughts to the back of his mind, for now, Sora then shook his head and addressed Eula once more.
"Eula, I'll explain how I did this later. But right now, we need to kill the Heartless now before it gets back up!" Sora replied while raising his keyblade in the air getting ready to stab the wolf in the head once again.
Eula on her part was irritated that Sora would not explain himself and how he was floating above everyone. Making a note of Sora's deflection, Eula muttered to herself about taking vengeance on Sora later.
"I expect an explanation on this subject once we are done here, Sora! Otherwise, mark my words, vengeance will be mine to take upon you" Eula said while focusing back on the Heartless wolf.
Once Sora had a clear shot of the downed wolf now being held down by Andrius' leg, Sora dropped out of the sky and plummeted down at the Heartless wolf's head with his keyblade ready to finish it once and for all.
With a yell coming from Sora, he shot straight at the wolf's head thrusting his keyblade right at the wolf's head managed to make contact and lodge his keyblade right through the wolf's head. The Heartless shrieked, which managed to shake the whole area while also having darkness leak out of its mouth before its entire body shake intensely.
The wolf's shaking caused Sora to get launched back and Andrius to have to take a couple of steps back which forced him to remove his leg that was holding down the Heartless from getting up. With no weight holding down the Heartless, the wolf slowly got back on its feet while snarling at everyone preparing to summon more shadows from its body.
However, out of nowhere a boy with silver hair hidden under a dark jacket's hoodie appeared to jump right above the wolf. The boy summoned his claymore in his hands before plummeting down towards the wolf's head managing to stab the wolf right through its head.
The Heartless wolf wobbled back and forth letting out a weak and distorted sound before slumping to the ground causing a minor shake throughout the area. All the shadows spread throughout the area seemed to fade away in a puff of smoke while the pools of darkness faded away. Leaving the once darkness invested area to be clear of any Heartless.
As for the Heartless wolf, before its body could start to fade away Sora quickly walked up to the wolf and stabbed his keyblade into the wolf's head managing to cause the entire body to fade away only leaving a large pink crystalized heart to linger for a moment before fading away into the sky and out of sight.
Letting out a sigh of relief, Sora walked over towards the boy while de-summoning his keyblade and getting a better look at the boy that appeared out of nowhere. Taking in the boy's features, Sora noticed that the boy had a pouch full of herbs that were about ready to fall out of the pouch.
The boy with silver hair regained his footing from having jumped down onto the wolf's head and straightened himself up before putting away his claymore. The boy then ran towards Andrius calling out to him.
"Andrius! You're ok!" The boy with the herb pouch said addressing Andrius.
"That I am, Razor. Were it not for these two humans from Mondstadt I would have been consumed in darkness by that creature" Andrius said while nodding to both Eula and Sora.
The boy now identified as Razor turned to look at Sora and then Eula and bowed his head slightly before addressing the two.
"Thank you... for helping Andrius. Eula... is your name?"
"Yes, I am Eula, Captain of the Reconnaissance Company with the Knights. It's nice to finally meet you, Razor" Eula said while giving a small head nod to Razor.
"You... know my name?" Razor asked confused about how Eula knew of him.
"Of course, Jean and Lisa have talked a great deal about all the help you do to protect your family of wolves and the land around Mondstadt. Not to mention, you have helped the knights a great number of times to the point where you are considered a valuable friend to the knights and all Mondstadt" Eula elaborated helping Razor understand just how well known he is to the knights of Mondstadt.
"Jean...Lisa...friends! Eula now new friend. Razor not know your name" Razor said while pointing at Sora who was smiling at Eula and Razor's interaction.
"My name is Sora! Nice to meet you, Razor" Sora replied to ease Razor's confusion.
"Sora, new friend! Thank you" Razor proclaimed now having made two new friends.
"Thanks, Razor, I also consider you a friend and you to Andrius," Sora said with a cheerful tone in his voice having made a new friend.
"Hmmmmm. Tell me, humans. What were those creatures enveloped in darkness? Were it not for your help, I would have been consumed by the darkness" Andrius said while wanting answers for what those monsters were.
Realizing that he would need to be careful with how he explained things, Sora took a deep breath while also narrowing down what important key point, he could say and what to avoid saying. Having his mind made up, Sora responded.
"Those dark creatures are known as the Heartless. They come in different shapes and sizes and can overwhelm you if you don't deal with them fast enough. That large wolf that copied your appearance was a Heartless that tried to consume your heart" Sora said hoping that Razor and Andrius understood the danger that the Heartless posed.
After a moment of no one saying anything, Andrius was the first to speak up on the matter of the Heartless.
"Heartless. Creatures I've never seen before entering my domain and having no fear when going against me. Tell me, boy, have these creatures appeared anywhere else?" Andrius asked curious about the nature of the Heartless.
"Yea, on the way to Wolvendom just on one of the trails leading from Mondstadt a group of Heartless appeared. However, with Eula's help we were able to deal with them" Sora said while explaining where he first encountered the Heartless in this world.
"I see. In that case, I must consult with Lord Barbatos on what to do about dealing with these Heartless. Razor, I ask that you tend to your family. Check and see if they are protected and warned" Andrius said while looking at Razor.
"Razor understands. Check on family... and help destroy monsters" Razor replied while untying the pouch wrapped around his waist and handing the pouch to Andrius.
"Andrius, here are herbs. For sickness" Razor said while handing his friend the herbs that were to help him with his tiredness.
Observing the pouch full of Calla Lilies, Andrius moved his mouth close to the pouch and caught the pouch on part of his teeth while nodding at Razor.
"Thank you, Razor. I will use the Calla Lilies to help with the strain on my body. You have once again helped me my friend" Andrius said while giving Razor a small head nod.
Content with Andrius' reaction, Razor nodded and gave a small smile before turning to look at Eula and Sora.
"Friends Sora...Eula. Razor go see family. Take care" Razor said before waving to the two and started sprinting away to go and check on his family.
With Razor having taken off, Andrius then started stretching his legs out and moving his head back and forth before looking at Sora and Eula.
"Humans... no. Sora and Eula, I thank you for your help in dealing with these Heartless. I have never encountered these monsters before and must seek guidance from Lord Barbatos. I will take my leave now. Take care and once more information is found on these Heartless, please find Razor so that he may confide in me given that he will have an easier time finding me" Andrius said while elaborating on his interest in learning about this new dangerous foe threatening his homeland.
"Of course, once more is known about these Heartless, Jean or I will make sure to inform Razor about the details. These creatures are dangerous and must be investigated" Eula said while placing her hand over her heart now having first-hand experience with how dangerous the Heartless could be.
"Yea, the more we know the better things will be when we have to deal with the Heartless again" Sora replied while having a bright smile on his face while having both of his hands behind his head looking relaxed.
"Very well, if that is all I will be taking my leave. Good luck and may you find comfort in knowing that Lord Barbatos will be looking over you in these uncertain times" Andrius proclaimed before lifting his head and letting out a howl and straightening his body and jumping out of the area.
Now with only Sora and Eula left in the area, Sora wasn't sure what to think when Eula suddenly grabbed his shoulder and gave off an icy glare that added to her beauty.
"Sora."
"Y-yea?"
"I believe there was something you were going to explain to me."
"Uh..."
"You were on the wolf's head. And it was slammed into the wall."
"Right, I know what you're referring to, Eula."
Letting out a sigh and closing his eyes, Sora realized he was walking on thin ice and if he wasn't careful with his words, he could fall through the ice and land on a mountain of problems to deal with. Taking a second to gather his thoughts, Sora decided what answers would be best for both his and Eula's sake.
"Alright, let me explain what I did that caused me to float and avoid hitting the wall," Sora said while feeling a bit anxious.
"Very well, I'm listening" Eula proclaimed while crossing her arms under her ample chest and waiting for Sora's explanation.
"Ok, so I used a Wind spell to help launch me in the air right before the wolf got slammed into the wall" Sora answered while hoping that Eula would buy part of his story.
Eula was silent for a moment before closing her eyes and then opening them and looking at Sora.
"And what about you floating in the air for several seconds without hitting the ground?" Eula asked still wanting to know how he was in the air.
"I'm able to use special magic spells thanks to my weapon which is called a keyblade. The keyblade allows me to store up energy and use several different elemental types of abilities along with various other magic spells. With enough energy and magic, I was able to conjure a quick float spell that let me hang in the air for a moment. Also, I used a Time spell to slow down the wolf from taking a bite out of me" Sora said having simplified the process that he deals with when using different spells and abilities.
Not to mention, Sora would need to take a moment when things calm down to reevaluate what powers and abilities, he currently has along with what he lost when using the Power of Waking. If he was able to use Strike Raid and the Time spell, then what other spells and abilities could he use to his convenience.
Pushing all those thoughts to the back of his mind, Sora went back to observing Eula's facial expressions to see what her reaction would be to Sora's floating explanation. After a moment of silence from her, Eula then let out a sigh and spoke up gaining Sora's attention.
"You are a very strange person, Sora. I've never met anyone like you who can use multiple elemental abilities along with that keyblade of yours. Of course, the traveler is also able to use multiple elemental abilities but the way you were able to switch between elements is unfathomable" Eula said while bringing a hand to brush some hair out of her eyes.
"However, after having fought with you in battle I can say for sure that you are an ally many would dream of having. Your combat experiences really do show especially when driven into a tight corner. Also, seeing that you are willing to help Mondstadt even knowing that Jean and the knights might not be able to help you find a way home truly does speak about you as a character" Eula continued to elaborate on her impressions of Sora.
"Eula..." Sora began but was cut off by Eula wanting to continue to speak about her thoughts towards Sora.
"Hence, after giving it some thought, I will do my best to help you in your endeavors to find clues as to how you could find a way back home. Or better yet I can act as your guide through Mondstadt and further. That is if you will allow me to accompany you" Eula stated having finished voicing her thoughts around Sora.
Processing everything that Eula had said, Sora was taken back by Eula's kindness. Sure, in his previous adventures he would meet new people and accept any help that was given to him by Donald and Goofy. However, he was all alone in this new world with no Donald and Goofy to help him make decisions leaving it all to Sora now. Feeling a sense of loneliness start to creep into his heart, Sora knew what his heart wanted and turned to look at Eula with a smile on his face.
"Eula, of course, you can accompany me. Although, if it wouldn't be too much trouble do you think I could get a proper tour of Mondstadt? I was only in the city for a short time with Diona when we were on our way to the Knights of Favonius Headquarters" Sora said while having a gleeful smile on his face and his hands behind his head giving off his signature pose.
Something that Sora didn't notice happening to Eula was that when he mentioned getting a proper tour of Mondstadt, Eula had a twinge of anxiousness cover her face for a split second. A real blink-and-miss moment. However, Eula composed herself before Sora could notice and hurriedly made herself look presentable since Sora did agree to have her accompany him.
"Well then, I believe that we can work something out on getting you a tour of Mondstadt. In addition, I'm sure there are individuals in Mondstadt that might provide some beneficial information for you to some degree. Either way, we should make our way back to Kaeya" Eula answered while having a bit of worry crawl into her heart realizing that the people of Mondstadt will give Sora the wrong impression of who she is along with her family history.
"Right, with that wolf gone I'm sure the Heartless are gone from Wolvendom, for now at least. Kaeya should be alright but still let's go check on him and the other knights" Sora said stretching his arms out wanting to stay limber in case of anything.
With that in mind, the duo began to make their way back to see if Kaeya had recovered some more of his strength along with how the fallen knights were faring. Moreover, Sora and Eula had many thoughts swimming around their heads about what the future may hold.
Sora was contemplating what information he would need to make available to the Knights of Favonius along with Andrius given that the Heartless were becoming more relevant in this world. Plus, Sora had a tinge of guilt crawl into his heart realizing that the Heartless may be here in this world due to him being here now. Pushing this thought to the side, Sora corrected himself with the fact that the Heartless can already be present in worlds he and other keyblade wielders haven't been to before.
Another thought going through his head was that Eula was someone special. The way she was able to keep up with him and manage to hold her own against the Heartless. Not to mention, her fighting style was one he was very intrigued by. Incorporating a style of dancing into fighting was something Sora wasn't very familiar with. Sure, he's witnessed many of his otherworldly friends use different fighting methods, but dancing is a new one.
Besides, another thing Sora noticed about Eula was her personality. Eula seemed like the type of girl to get serious when needed but had a calm and cheerful attitude when she was off duty and around friends. Not to mention, Eula was very beautiful. Sora wasn't one to be caught off guard by a girl's beauty given that he's met many different girls. But meeting Jean made Sora realize that she stood out when compared to other girls.
And now getting a moment to admire Eula made Sora understand that she really was pretty given her hairstyle and the aura of elegance she had when it came to not only mannerisms but fighting style as well. Not to mention, Sora did notice her alluring figure which caused Sora to have a small blush cover his cheeks before he pushed the thought about Eula's figure to the side. Sora decided that it would be a great idea to get to personally know Eula. Plus, there were still others that Sora wanted to get to know in Mondstadt.
Kaeya was an interesting fellow that had a bit of the mysterious yet jack of trade attitude. And Kaeya did have an eye patch so maybe he had a bit more of a pirate personality which Sora was familiar with so that would be fun to learn about him.
Jean being the acting Grand Master for the Knights of Favonius must have been a great deal of stress to manage. Plus, the idea that a girl as kind as her had to monitor an entire city and all the problems that occurred tired Sora just thinking about it. Perhaps there was some way that Sora could help Jean with her workload to at least give her a moment of rest. It was the least he could do since Jean would be doing her best to help him with his otherworldly problem.
Then there was his new friend that he met not that long ago, Razor. The boy didn't appear to look that different but hearing that his family was of wolves was honestly not that surprising. Given that Sora has met many friends that had different appearances which never bothered him. Sora liked meeting new people from different aspects of life.
Taking all these thoughts to mind, Sora figured that learning more about everyone else in this world would be a joy and fascination. But getting to learn more about Eula and Jean was something that made Sora's heartbeat faster for reasons he wasn't entirely sure of. Whatever the case Sora was ready to make new friends along with learning more about his friends to help him in his journey in this world.
With Eula, she was currently struggling with concerns that were arising in her mind. The idea that Sora wanted a tour of Mondstadt was not a concern in fact it made her happy that he was interested in her home. But that in there lies the problem. The Lawrence family was not exactly well-liked in Mondstadt given her family's history. And the fact that Sora will learn more about her and her background worried her.
Given that she and Sora had only been working together for a short time, Eula felt a sort of happiness and warmth being around Sora. There was something about talking and fighting with Sora that made Eula feel all warm and somewhat peaceful in her heart. It honestly felt nice to be with Sora. And that scared her.
Having grown up with the people of Mondstadt hating on her entire existence given her family name, Eula didn't have many friends. That is until she joined the Knights of Favonius where there were a group of people, she could proudly say were her friends. Jean, Amber, Kaeya, Lisa, Klee, and others. All of them really did help her push forward in life and vow to seek vengeance on her family and to make a difference to the people of Mondstadt.
And now meeting Sora who she didn't think much of upon first impression was now very interested in not only his situation but who he was as a person. Many other thoughts and feelings were swirling around Eula's head and heart but for now, she would hold those feelings close to her heart and evaluate them later. For now, she will do her best to get to know Sora better as well as show him that she is not who the people portray her to be. She will show Sora just who Eula Lawrence, Captain of the Reconnaissance Company with the Knights of Favonius, truly is and what her ambitions are for today, tomorrow, and the future.
Therefore, the two having their own thoughts to process before meeting up with Kaeya and the other fallen knights. Sora and Eula continued to trek towards the next step in their adventures together while Sora was beginning to realize just what mysteries Teyvat has in store.
And that brought a smile to his face.
