Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto or The Legend of Korra.

A/N: Sorry Ninja in the Web isn't up, when seeing how close I was to this week I decided to work on the others. The only ones I'm not 100% sure will be up is the Star Wars as I got another beta and they have limited time on the computer at the moment and the USM due to still needing to write out 4 episodes.

Book Two

Spirits

Chapter III

Civil War.

Korra has reopened the Southern spirit portal and taken the first step to restoring balance between spirits and man. Meanwhile, tensions are high between Korra and her father after she discovers he was hiding a dark secret. Years ago, Tonraq was banished from the north. And now the northern Navy has landed on Southern shores. What other plans does Unalaq have for the Avatar?

South Pole Palace.

Korra saw ice walls going up in the harbor before looking over at her uncle. "Uncle, why did you bring your troops down from the north?"

"Now that you've opened the Southern portal, we need to protect it from people who would do the spirits harm."

"I can protect it," Korra spoke up before her uncle shook his head.

"I need you for something more important. There is another portal in the north. Once you open it, spirits and man will be able to move freely between the north and the South in a matter of seconds."

"But the solstice is over. How am I going to open it?"

"The spiritual energy is much stronger in the north. And now that you've opened the Southern portal, your energy is stronger as well."

"With both portals open, our tribes will be united again," Korra said with a smile.

"The world will be united again," Unalaq explained as he took a step to the railing.

Southern Air Temple Morning.

(A/N: These parts will be canon, feel free to skip.)

Tenzin and Pema are relaxing in front of a house as Kya is sitting on a rock, feeding lemurs. Tenzin then picks up a glass of tea and takes a drink. "Ahh, I haven't felt this at peace since..."

"Wahoo!"

Bumi dropped down in a robe and boxers having Tenzin sigh. "And it's over."

"Good morning, universe!"

"Bumi, please. Cover yourself." Kya spoke up covering her eyes as Bumi ignored his sister to look over at Tenzin.

"Well, lookee here. "Vacation Tenzin" has finally decided to join us."

"Yes, he has. It's so nice to spend more time with my family." Tenzin said as he took his youngest from Pema. "Isn't that right, my little Rohan? And I've really enjoyed having you two around. Reminds me of all those great vacations we took as kids with dad."

"Uh, I think your memory is a little foggy. Bumi and I weren't on those great vacations. It was always just you and dad." Kya mentioned head resting on her hand

"No, that can't be right. What about the time he took us to Kyoshi island to ride the elephant-koi?"

"Nope. We weren't there." Kya said from her spot.

"Hmm. Oh, remember Ember island? Those amazing sand palaces we built on the beach?"

"You mean you built," Bumi spoke up with annoyance. "We never saw the place."

"I could've sworn…" Tenzin trailed off as Jinora and Meelo came over on-air scooters with Meelo having Poki on his shoulder

"Morning, kids." Bumi greeted the two as they landed.

"Morning, Uncle Bumi," Meelo said before pointing at his stomach. "Do you have a baby there?" He asked, getting the others to laugh.

"Where's your sister?" Pema asked the two, having them look over to their mother.

"Who?" Jinora asked as Pema stood.

"Ikki." She then placed her hand at waist level. "About this tall. Talks real fast. I'm sure you know her."

"Uh…"

"There was a lemur fight, but the bison told us not to worry because a giant was coming. Then we almost got eaten by a shark-squid." Meelo interrupted having Bumi look around.

"The shark-squid? He's here? It appears my old Nemesis has found me."

Pema just folded her arms at the two. "Jinora, were you and Meelo teasing your sister again?"

"I don't know. Maybe. Yes." Jinora spoke up before her head dropped at the end.

"She ran away," Meelo said, having Pema look down in anger.

"Honestly, I don't know why you kids can't just get along!"

"It's all right, dear." Tenzin stood and handed her Rohan. "Ikki couldn't have gone far. I'll find her."

Bumi appeared and saluted him then saluted. "Commander Bumi reporting for duty! Search-and-rescue missions are my specialty."

Kya then jogged over to her brothers. "What do you say we all go together?"

"Sure. I could use the help."

"When I get back, we'll come up with a plan to take down that shark-squid once and for all," Bumi said as he leaned down to speak to Meelo.

"Yeah!"

The South Pole, Tonraq And Senna's House.

"Thank you for coming, everyone."

Tonraq said to the group in his house. "I know these last few days have been very troubling."

"Troubling?"

They looked to see Varrick at a dresser eating cookies. "Troubling is when I get that itchy rash that won't go away, and Zhu Li's not around to scratch it. This is shocking. Nay, sickening!" He threw the plate down breaking it as he held one up to his face. "But these kale cookies? Opposite. Remind me to get the recipe later."

"What's your point, Varrick?"

Naruto asked, walking in and crossing his arms as the eccentric businessman turned to him. "My point is, Unalaq has already booted our chieftains out of their palace. How long before he starts telling us what kind of cookies we can eat?"

"Probably a couple of days." Zhu Li spoke up as Varrick picked another plate up.

"Rhetorical question, Zhu Li. You gotta keep up. Not to mention I've got a cargo ship full of Halibut that's rotting, thanks to this harbor lockdown. Who wants to buy a ship full of stinking fish?" He asked, throwing the plate down breaking that one. "Seriously, it's not rhetorical. I need to sell these fish."

"Chief Unalaq is here to help the South. He wants to show us how to restore balance with the spirits so they'll stop attacking." Korra spoke up as she stood.

"The only spirit I'm interested in restoring is our spirit of independence! Am I right, people?" Varrick asked the group, having them cheer.

"All Unalaq is trying to do is make our tribes unified again," Korra spoke before Varrick looked at her.

"No, he wants control of our wealth. My wealth. And I like my wealth. If Unalaq doesn't pull his forces out, then we have no choice but to fight for our freedom!"

"You want to start a war? Are you crazy?"

"Unalaq started this, not us," Tonraq said standing up before sighing as he turned to his daughter. "I'm sorry. Maybe you could speak with your Uncle. Tell him how frustrated we all are. He'll listen to what the Avatar has to say. Do it for me."

"I'll do it for the tribe," Korra spoke before walking out and had Naruto follow.

"Korra." She stopped to turn to her lover. "Choose your words. You tell your uncle that a group met up to talk about him and he could see that as a coup."

"He won't do that Naruto," Korra said before walking to Naga.

Later, she walked into the throne room where his uncle sat at the top of his body in shadow. "Our next training session isn't until tomorrow."

"I'm sorry to interrupt. It's about our conversation this morning."

"Yes?" He asked her.

"I understand why you brought your troops here, but I'm afraid it's sending the wrong message."

"Your father has been talking to you," Unalaq spoke from his seat.

"Not just him. Varrick too. There was a meeting at my parents' house. A lot of southerners feel like their tribe is being invaded."

"I am their chief. I'm uniting, not invading."

"I know, but I'm just afraid if something doesn't change, there could be a civil war." She finished as he looked down.

"If the water tribes were at war, the other nations would take sides. The dark spirits would thrive off this negative energy, and the world would be thrown into a battle between spirits and man. That would be catastrophic."

"How do we stop it?" She asked, having him stand and walk down.

"We? No, Korra. This is a war only the Avatar can prevent."

"I'm usually the one starting fights. I don't know how to stop them from happening."

"As the Avatar, you must remain neutral in this conflict. You will naturally want to help your people, but showing favoritism will not help our tribes find unity." Unalaq explained as he got to her.

"Maybe Tenzin was right. Maybe I'm not ready to be the Avatar."

"Tenzin lacked faith in you. But I have no doubt you will become the most admired Avatar the world has ever known." He finished placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Thank you, Uncle."

Outside, a group of four Northern soldiers is marching as the civilian's glare at the soldiers hatefully. The soldiers glare at the civilians before being pelted by snowballs.

"Who threw those?"

Up on a roof, kids laughed before one soldier pulled them down.

"HEY!"

Turning, they came to see Naruto. "This isn't your bui-!"

"Leave now unless you want the other nations to hear of the North attacking kids in the South because snow was thrown at them. I've got the backing of each leader. You really want to fight the others plus the South?"

"You're bluffing." One soldier spoke up as Naruto smiled.

"Try me, the fire nation leader and son really like me. Plus you really want to attack the first person outside of the Avatar that can bend all the elements? I mean all the leaders want a new nation now, you want to put that on your leader?"

The group stared at Naruto who produced Kunai from each of his sleeves. "They're not worth it." One said as Korra rode over on Naga.

Afternoon, Tenzin, Kya, And Bumi.

"Ikki! Ikki! Ikki? Ikki, where are you?"

Tenzin walked on a path in the woods by a cliff yelling before hearing rustling. "Over here, dad!" He looked to see Bumi in his clothes pop up from the bush. "Just kidding. It's me!"

"There's no sign of her anywhere," Kya said, running to them.

"Why would Ikki run off like this? Ah, it's probably my fault." Tenzin sighed out as his sister crossed her arms.

"Probably."

"Excuse me?"

"I'm guessing you've been so busy with your "duty" to Republic city that you forgot about your duty to your kids."

"Easy for you to say, you adopted Naruto when he was 15."

"Ha-Ha! Duty." Bumi laughed out as Kya sighed and looked over at him.

"What are you, five years old?" She asked before Tenzin looked over.

"Kya, you're right. I haven't been spending enough time with them. I wish I could be as good a father as dad was to us."

"Tenzin, your problem is you're exactly like dad. He was so focused on saving the world and doing his duty… Don't laugh…" She said to Bumi before turning back to Tenzin. "That he never had time for us."

"Dad was under a lot of pressure," Tenzin spoke before Bumi walked over and pinched his cheek.

"He always had time for you, though, his precious little airbender."

"Dad loved us all equally. Besides, it all happened a long time ago. Why are we even talking about this?" Tenzin asked, swatting Bumi's hand away.

"Because you seem to have some grandiose delusion that we had a perfect, happy-go-lucky childhood. Guess what. We didn't." Kya spoke up as Tenzin went to the cliff and looked back.

"We need to keep moving if we want to find Ikki before dark."

"See what he's doing there, Bumi? Classic airbender technique. Cutting and running when things get tough!" Kya spoke to Bumi who laughed.

"Yeah. Did dad teach you that move?"

South Pole, Dusk.

"How was your day, sweetie?"

Naruto asked as Korra dropped down outside her hut.

"Oh, fabulous. My tribe's about to go to war, and I'm supposed to stop it, but will anyone listen to me No! And I didn't ask for my father's help. Can't he just let me be the Avatar?"

"Because he sees you as his daughter first," Naruto spoke as she groaned.

"Ugh. I'm sorry. My dad just gets me all worked up."

"How about you take a break from all this Avatar stuff, and we go out for a quiet dinner? Just the three of us." Naruto asked as Asami walked up.

In a restaurant, Naruto, Korra, and Asami without their coats sat on a long booth that took up a wall as Bolin, Eska, and Desna sat at the other end of the table on chairs.

"Isn't this fun, huh?" Bolin asked before chuckling nervously. "We never get to spend enough time together, just the six of us. So fun."

"Excuse us while we retrieve more sustenance," Eska said as she and her brother got up and left.

"You guys gotta save me," Bolin asked as he leaned on the table.

"I thought you were breaking up with her?" Naruto asked, raising an eyebrow. "At least that's what Mako told me."

"I tried! But anytime I bring up the subject, she threatens to freeze me in a block of ice and feed me to dolphin-piranhas!"

"So it was more like you tugged at the bandage?" Naruto asked, having him raise an eyebrow.

"You mean leech?"

"… Sure…"

"Then yes, over and over and over, but it won't come off." Bolin then turned to Korra at that. "Why didn't you warn me your cousin had the power to reach into my heart and crush my soul with her bare hands?"

"Uh, 'cause I thought it was pretty obvious."

"No, no, not to me, it wasn't. I'm very bad at reading people. You should know that by now."

"He's got you there," Naruto stated before she elbowed him.

"Oh, man. Oh! Do something, Avatar!" Bolin whined out hands in his face as the three stared at him.

Tenzin, Kya And Bumi, Night

Tenzin held up a lantern as Bumi was rambling on about a mission he did. "You know, this reminds me of a search-and-rescue mission I commanded years ago, in the mountains outside of Ba Sing Se."

"(Groan!) Here we go."

"For five days, we scoured that beast of a mountain, fighting our way through blizzards, sandstorms, and three typhoons. Finally, we found the men huddled in a cave, seconds from death. With no time to lose, I piled all twelve of those poor souls on my back and single-handedly carried them down the mountain to safety." Bumi finished before Tenzin turned to him

"And how exactly is that supposed to help us find Ikki?"

"It was supposed to inspire you. Clearly, you know nothing about being a leader of men. That's probably why the Avatar fired you." Bumi said back to him

"I'm sick of your far-fetched tales. Three typhoons?" Tenzin asked, having his brother smile.

"Well, I may have thrown in an extra typhoon or two for dramatic effect, but-!"

"Quit arguing and bring that lantern over here. I found footprints!" Kya interrupted them, having Tenzin run over to show footprints in the mud leading down the cliff beside a waterfall.

"Come on!" Tenzin said before walking down as Bumi went to the waterfall and started to climb down.

"No, follow me! This will get us down fifty times faster."

"Bumi, it's pitch black, and the rocks are slippery," Tenzin said as he looked over before Kya spoke up.

"You're gonna hurt yourself."

"Come on, you wimps! If I can do it, it should be no problem for a couple of benders."

"Fine."

Kya descends the waterfall using waterbending to hold her. Tenzin leaps from ledge to ledge, using airbending to boost his leap. Both soon overtake their older brother, who grumbles.

"You were right, Bumi! That was faster!" Kya yelled up in a teasing tone.

"At least times faster, by my calculations," Tenzin yelled up before both yelled as he dropped down to a bottom rock.

"Oh, Tenzin's the funny guy now."

"If you need an airlift down, just say the word," Tenzin yelled as Bumi slowly turned.

"Bah, I don't need your help. I've got everything under control-Agh!"

Bumi slipped and fell onto a tree branch before falling into the pool of water.

"Bumi!"

The South Pole.

Korra walked into her hut and saw her mother on the couch. "Did dad send you to talk to me?"

"Your father doesn't know I'm here. Korra, what's going on between you two?" Senna said as Korra sat on the couch.

"Ask dad."

"I've tried, but he won't talk about it. Honey, it breaks my heart to see our family being torn apart like this."

"You want to know what's been going on? I found out dad's been lying to me my whole life. Unalaq told me everything… How dad and Tenzin kept me trapped down here while I trained, how dad got banished from the north."

"So the truth is out." Senna mused as she looked down.

"You knew? And you never said anything."

"We were trying to keep our family together, to give you a normal childhood," Senna explained as Korra sighed.

"I never wanted a normal childhood. All I ever wanted to be was the Avatar. But everyone keeps holding me back, even my own parents! Unalaq is the only one who believes in me." Korra ranted having her mother look up.

"That's not true, Korra."

"No? Then why is everyone in the South turning against me, when all I'm trying to do is help them?"

"The problems between the North and the South started long before you were born. You can't expect to undo them in a day." Senna explained as Korra looked over.

"So I should just sit back and let the water tribes go to war?"

"No, but this situation might be out of your control. Varrick's been plotting a rebellion against Unalaq. He asked your father to join, and…"

"Dad is part of a rebellion?" Korra asked, standing.

"I don't know, but I don't want you getting caught in the middle of it."

"It's too late, mom. I'm already in the middle of it." Korra said as she turned to walk out and onto Naga.

"Korra!"

Later Korra ran into the hall of the palace before yelling out. "Uncle!" She looked to see Northern guards tied up and knocked out. "Oh, no. Uncle?" She then runs and stops at a corner and sees a masked rebel carrying an unconscious Unalaq while three others stand guard. "Dad? Dad, don't do this."

"Turn around, Avatar, and pretend you didn't see anything."

"No. Leave Unalaq and go. I'll tell him I tried to stop you, but you escaped. We can still avoid a war." She said as the rebel narrowed his eyes.

"No, we can't."

The rebels created an ice wall and trapped Korra by having it circle her against the wall. They then ran to the stairs, having Korra punch out a gap and pursue the rebels. While the rebels were running down a flight of stairs, Korra freezes the handrails and slides down in front of them.

"Get him out of here!" One rebel ordered the one carrying Unalaq who ran out.

Korra tried to follow only to have ice come up to block her way. "We're all part of the same tribe. I don't want to hurt you."

The rebels threw water whips at Korra who dodges. Korra leaps up and grabs a banner while evading more water and ice. She runs up a pillar and tosses the banner against two rebels, using airbending to ensnare them. Korra continues dodging the remaining rebels' offenses and grabs the rope of one of the rebels and kicks another, slamming him unconscious on the staircase.

She ties the rope around the rebel's wrist and swings him to a pillar, knocking him out. Korra runs out of the palace to see the rebel leader leaving. "Dad, stop!" Running down, she creates an ice ramp in front of the snowmobile before twisting it to have them crash before she runs over. "Why did you do this, dad?" She asked, unmasking the man revealing a different man with short hair and a beard. "What? Who are you? Where's my father?"

"He wouldn't help us. He's a traitor, just like you."

Unalaq woke up at that before they called the soldiers. Later, as the rebels were being arrested, Unalaq looked at Korra. "Thank you for saving my life. I'm just glad I got here in time." He said before turning to the soldiers. "Find Varrick. I want him to freeze in prison with the rest of these traitors."

"Wait, you can't just lock them away. That will only make the South angrier." Korra spoke up looking over at her uncle.

"You want them to go free?"

"No. But let them stand trial for what they did. Every water tribe citizen deserves that right."

Unalaq sighed before speaking. "Very well. I will respect the Avatar's wishes in this matter."

"Thank you, Uncle." Korra nodded before leaving.

Tenzin, Bumi, And Kya.

"I told you those rocks were slippery. You're lucky you didn't kill yourself."

Kya said to Bumi as she was healing his head by swirling water around it.

"You done with the lecture, mom?"

"Oh, grow up. You haven't changed one bit since we were kids. You're still trying to prove you can do everything a bender can. Well, you can't. Deal with it." She bit back as he huffed.

"And you're not our mother. You don't get to tell me what I can and can't do. Deal with that.

"Good luck healing yourself with your special non-bending powers." Kya crossed her arms, having the water splash Bumi.

"Hey, back me up here, Tenzin."

"Kya's right. You're the oldest of us, but you always acted like the youngest. I had to become the responsible one."

Kya turned to Tenzin at that. "You think you're the responsible one? Where were you after dad died and mom was all alone? Because I was the only one who packed up and moved my whole life to be with her."

"Sure, after years of flitting around the world, trying to find yourself. It was time for you to settle down somewhere. You two have no idea how it feels to have the future of an entire culture on your shoulders." Tenzin bit back as Bumi moved to sit on a rock.

"Oh, boo-hoo. Must've been really hard for you, flying around the world with dad, riding elephant-koi all day."

"Oh, so that's what this is all about?"

"That's what it's always been about. You think you're some savior who has to carry on dad's legacy." Kya spoke, hands on her hips.

"Who else is going to do it?"

"How about all of us?" She asked, having Bumi stand.

"Yeah, we're Aang's kids too."

"We never should have come on this vacation." Kya sighed out as Bumi nodded

"I couldn't agree more."

"Well, I didn't want you to come in the first place. I can't be around you two right now. Go back to the temple and see if Ikki returns. I'll keep looking out here." Tenzin said having them leave.

"Fine."

"Fine."

"Fine." Tenzin finished as he walked the opposite way.

The South Pole.

Naruto stood beside Korra as she looked at her parent's hut before nudging her forward. She then walked to the hut and opened the door seeing her parents seated inside. "Is it okay if I come in?"

"Of course. We heard what happened. Are you okay?" Senna asked before Korra broke down in tears and ran to her father.

"I'm so glad you weren't there. I don't know what I would have done."

"I had no idea how far Varrick was willing to go. My brother and I have our differences, but I would never attack him."

"I'm sorry for thinking you had anything to do with the rebels, and for all the pain I've caused you and mom."

"I'm the one who should apologize. After I saw the Southern lights return, I was so proud of you. I never should have held you back." Tonraq explained before Senna leaned over.

"When your father and I found each other, all we wanted was to live a simple life and raise a family. But then we discovered you were the Avatar, and simple was over. We knew one day the world would need you, and you wouldn't need us anymore."

"Mom, dad, of course, I still need you." Korra hugged them before Unalaq walked in.

"We weren't expecting you," Tonraq said as two soldiers walked in.

"Tonraq, Senna, you are under arrest and will stand trial."

"Trial? For what?"

"For conspiring to assassinate me."

Tensions between the Northern and Southern Water Tribes have reached a breaking point. After Chief Unalaq's troops took over the South, Varrick incited an uprising. But Korra stopped the rebels from abducting her uncle. Enraged by the insurrection, Unalaq arrested the rebels and Korra's parents, accusing them of conspiring to assassinate him. Will Korra be able to save her parents and prevent civil war?

The South Pole.

Naruto jogged over as Korra's parents were being loaded into a prison truck. "You're making a mistake," Korra said as the truck drove off.

"I wish it hadn't come to this. But your parents held a meeting with the rebels, right here in their home."

"I can't believe you're doing this to your own family," Korra spoke as Unalaq sighed.

"Rest assured, I've appointed Judge Hotah to oversee the trial. He is the fairest and honorable man I know."

"Uncle, my parents had nothing to do with the men who attacked you."

"I'm sure you're right. So we should have nothing to worry about." Unalaq replied putting his hands behind his back before leaving.

"I hope so." Korra sighed before Naruto grabbed her hand and squeezed it.

Over at Varrick's mansion, Asami, Mako, and Bolin are waiting for said man in his office. "Where's Varrick? We should've closed our deal an hour ago." Asami sighed out hands on her hip as she stood next to a stuffed platypus bear.

Bolin, lounging on a couch, looked over. "Would you relax? This place is great. And the best part about it, Eska doesn't know I'm here." Suddenly, the door opens having Eska, Desna, and several Northern Water Tribe soldiers enter the room having Bolin stand up in shock. Ee-yah! I wasn't hiding. Hey, hey-hey, hey."

Eska just gave him a deadpan stare. "I'm not on the hunt for you... Currently."

"We search for Varrick. Our father wishes him to stand trial." Desna spoke up after his twin.

"What did he do?" Asami asked, raising an eyebrow.

"He is a traitor to the Water Tribe, along with our aunt and uncle," Eska replied, having them gain a shocked look.

"What?"

"Korra's parents were arrested?" Mako asked before Desna looked at him.

"Yes. Your powers of deduction are impressive."

Bolin points to his brother with his thumb. "Yeah, he's a cop."

"Varrick's not here." One of the guards said to the twins

"Very well. Desna, let us continue our search elsewhere." Eska said as they turned before turning back to Bolin. "Boyfriend! Bow to me when I exit."

Bolin kneels and bows to Eska. "Yes, yes, my sweet koala otter."

"You are so cute when you grovel," Eska said before she leaves, behind Desna and the soldiers.

"Don't let her treat you that way. Stand up for yourself." Asami said to Bolin, crossing her arms as he stood.

"I tried to break up with her, but Mako gave me terrible advice. Thank you, Mako." Bolin crosses his arms as well.

"Wait, how are your girl problems my fault?"

"Bolin, you need to be honest with her. Tell her how you really feel." Asami explained before they heard Varrick's voice that's muffled.

"Honesty is for fools, kid."

"Varrick?" Bolin asked as they all looked around.

"If you want to ditch this girl, then make yourself scarce. Disappear, as I did."

"Where are you?" Asami asked Varrick before he replied.

"Somewhere Unalaq will never find me." His head then appears from the stuffed platypus bear's mouth. "Inside Ping-Ping! How are we doin'?"

"The coast is clear. You can come out." Mako explained having Varrick slightly shake his head.

"No way, mister. Not until I know it's absolutely 157% safe." Zhu Li's hand appears in the bear's mouth with a cup of tea, which Varrick takes and responds to her. "Ah! Thank you, Zhu Li."

"Your assistant's in there too?" Asami asked as Varrick glanced at her.

"Zhu Li never leaves my side." He replied taking a sip of the tea but spits it out in disgust. "You forgot the honey!"

"Sorry, sir. There isn't any here." Zhu Li replied from the stomach.

"No honey? We're in a bear for crying out loud! Bolin, I got a little something for you 'round back." The platypus bear's tail lifts up, and a stack of paper yuans falls out.

Bolin drops down to pick up the money. "Wow!"

"Now listen up. Unalaq rigged this trial, no doubt about it. So I need you to make sure my trusty rebels stay out of prison."

Bolin stands and holds up the wad in his hand. "What's the money for?" He asks, having Varrick laugh.

"Bribery, of course! There's always someone willing to look the other way for a few yuans."

"I think I caught your drift, Varrick-bear."

Tenzin.

"Ikki! Ikki, where are you?"

Tenzin yelled out as two lemurs landed on his shoulders. "Shoo! Go bother someone else. You two are worse than Kya and Bumi." He said before hearing Ikki.

"Okay, everybody here?"

"Ikki! Oh, thank goodness." Tenzin spoke as he came to a cave where Ikki sat at a raised platform where she was sitting with four sky bison calves.

"Juniper Lightning bug, paws off the table! This is going to be a civilized breakfast. Daddy always says a blessing before we eat, so… Be quiet and listen up!" Two calves rolled over before looking at her. "We are thankful for this super yummy food and for being the best-est new friends in the world. But we are most thankful because Meelo and Jinora aren't here because they stink." She said before noticing her father. "Oh! Hi, daddy. I guess you found me. Do I have to go now?"

"Actually, is there room for one more?" He asks as he walks in.

"Uh, sure. You can sit next to Blueberry Spice-head."

Tenzin sits down, while the calf looks at Tenzin. "Nice to meet you, Blueberry Spice-head."

"And that's Princess Rainbow, and that's Twinkle Star-child, and that's Juniper Lightning Bug. They're my new brothers and sisters."

"New ones, huh? Can they be my new brothers and sisters too?" He asks his daughter.

"Maybe, but only if they say it's okay." She then leans into the bison calf sitting to her left and starts to listen to it. "Uh-huh, uh-huh. No, no, he's nice. They say it's okay."

The South Pole.

In a courtroom, Naruto sat beside Asami in a middle row before Bolin sat next to Asami on the other side. "We're good to go. I gave all the money to some guys over there. I told them to 'take care of it, and then I winked. Pretty sure they got the message."

Naruto looked to see two shady-looking characters, who counted the money with a smile and smiled back at Bolin with thumbs up. Bolin returns the gesture while the gavel is hammered, and Asami facepalms. "You bribed the wrong people if that's what you were doing."

"This trial will now come to order! Judge Hotah presiding." They turned to see a serious-looking old man, settling into the judge's chair at the center of the dais.

"Man! I should have paid him!"

"Yeah, you think?" Asami replied in an annoyed tone.

Later, Unalaq was giving his testimony. "I was asleep in my chambers when the rebels attacked. They overpowered me, and the next thing I remember was waking up in the snow after Avatar Korra had saved me."

Soon Korra was brought up to speak. "According to Unalaq's testimony, you attended a meeting where Varrick tried to incite a civil war. Is that true?" Hotah asked the Avatar.

"Yes."

"And where are these men present at that meeting?"

"Well, yes, but -"

"And where exactly did this meeting take place?" Hotah asked before Bolin stood.

"Objection!"

"Quiet down out there! I'll ask you one more time. Where did the meeting happen?"

"My parents' house."

"And who led this meeting?" Hotah spoke up before Naruto stood.

"Your honor, Korra wasn't there for that part. She got there later. And it was Varrick who was the leader. Tonraq didn't want to do anything but talk to his brother. I think Varrick had the meeting at the house to throw any suspicion off of himself if caught. He lost money due to the harbor lockdown and was losing more the further we go."

"And how do you know that?" The judge asked Naruto.

"Because I was there, Korra's my girlfriend and her parents took me in before Kya when I came here about four years ago so I was visiting. But Varrick spurned them on, Tonraq tried to get them to stop. Ask the man who kidnapped Unalaq."

"The second Avatar's right." The man spoke up. "Tonraq is a traitor to the cause who just wanted to talk while Varrick listened to us."

"I've heard all I need to. I'll return shortly with my decision."

Hotah leaves as Korra gains a worried expression. Later, all the defendants are now standing before Judge Hotah. "Senna, please step forward." Senna steps forward but looks worriedly at her husband. "I have found you... innocent. You are free to go."

A guard removes her handcuffs and she runs to Korra to hug her. "Korra!"

"And after hearing the second Avatar's testimony, Tonraq will be on house arrest while the others, I find… Guilty Your lives will be spared, but you will live them out in prison."

The rebels and Tonraq heave a sigh of relief.

Tenzin And Ikki.

Ikki's playing with the bison calves by bending a ball of air which they chase, while Tenzin is petting another calf. "You like that, don't you, Blueberry Spice-head? Yes, you do." The calf snuggles against Tenzin at that. You know, I could get used to it here. No one's yelling at me or telling me I'm delusional."

"We should have Uncle Bumi and Aunt Kya come to visit. I bet they'd like it too."

"Let's not. They'll only spoil our good mood." Tenzin spoke to his daughter who looked confused.

"What do you mean? Aunt Kya is super nice and pretty and always asks me how I'm feeling, and Uncle Bumi is, like, the funniest person in the world."

"But what about Meelo? He's hilarious too, you never know what's going to come out of his mouth. And Jinora can be so sweet and gentle."

Ikki scowled at that. "And mean. And bossy. Being part of a family is hard, huh, Daddy?"

"I couldn't agree with you more."

The calf which Tenzin is petting awakens and flies out of the cave with its siblings, where they reunite with their parents. "But, I guess the nice part about a family is they'll always be there for you. Even though Twinkle Star-child and Princess Rainbow fight, they still love each other." Ikki said as they walked out.

"That's very wise of you, Ikki."

"We should probably head back, huh?" Ikki asked looking up.

"I suppose. We can't hide in this cave forever." Tenzin replied before taking her and walked towards the temple.

"Don't worry, Daddy. We'll come back and visit Blueberry Spice-head. I know you really bonded with her."

"Yes, I'd like that."

In the Air Temple Sanctuary, Bumi is looking at a statue of Aang. "Uh... Hey there, Dad. You're looking well. Look, uh, I'm sorry I didn't turn out to be an airbender like you hoped. But I've tried my best to keep the world safe. Hope I made you proud."

"Of course, he'd be proud of you, Bumi."

Bumi turned to see Kya at the doorway. "Kya! I-I was just uh…" He trailed off before wiping the statue with his sleeve. "Cleaning off Dad's statue. (Cough!) It's so dusty in here."

Kya walked over and hugged him. "Come here."

"Thanks, Kya. You always know when I need a hug."

The South Pole, Varrick's Mansion.

Naruto ran in to see the others sans Bolin in the room Varrick's hiding in. "Unalaq is a liar and a traitor!"

"I've been trying to tell you that from the get-go." Varrick spoke from his pot in Pin-Ping.

"I eavesdropped on the judge, Unalaq paid him off to put your dad in jail at the least." He said to Korra.

"What? Then why didn't he?"

"Because of what I said during the trial. He said to your uncle if he did anything more severe, there would have been an uproar. And that he only let your mother go to keep you at his side. I caught Hotah and he spilled that Unalaq hired the barbarians to attack their tribe. Then he told them to hide in the spirit forest, knowing your dad would go after them.

Mako turned to Korra at that. "Unalaq wanted your dad out of the way so he could become chief. It was a setup."

Korra nodded before turning to see her boyfriend grinning. "Why are you grinning?"

"Because I was right! When was the last time a boyfriend was right?"

"I need to help them, will you help me?" She asked, ignoring the question as not to inflate Naruto's ego.

"Of course, I'll help."

"Me too."

Varrick raises Ping-Ping's paw. "Count me in!"

"As will I," Mako said with a nod. "I know Bolin will-!"

The door then opens, revealing both Bolin and Pabu dressed up like Eska with his hair combed and wearing a choker with a skull.

"I don't even want to know."

Asami raised an eyebrow at them. "So I'm guessing the breakup with Eska didn't go well?"

"No, no, the honesty thing worked out great. So great she decided we should get married!" He yelled back at her.

"Sorry."

"I'm pretty sure the guy is supposed to give the girl the betrothal necklace," Korra explained with a little amusement in her voice.

"I guess Eska didn't get the memo."

"Look, the only way to deal with crazy women is to lie big and leave fast. Lucky for you, Varrick's got your back. Now, gather 'round Ping-Ping. Let's talk about a plan." Varrick said as they huddled.

Prison.

A guard is patrolling the interior before a hole in the floor opens causing him to fall. Sparks fly out of the trench before Naruto, Asami, Mako, and Korra climb up the trench and to a room that they found empty.

"I'm sorry, Korra. They're on a ship headed to the Northern Tribe. They'll serve out their sentences there."

They turned to see Unalaq standing in front of them.

"Bring them back or I'm taking you out and the rest of your army."

"Remember who you are. As the Avatar, you cannot threaten war. You must remain neutral, or our tribes will never find unity."

"You don't want unity. You want power. You've always been jealous of my father, haven't you? You got him banished so you could become chief, and I bet it just killed you to learn he was the Avatar's father. No wonder you kept trying to take me away from him." Korra spoke up as Naruto got behind her.

"All I've ever wanted is to help you realize your destiny."

"Well, I don't want your help anymore."

"If you start a war, the dark spirits will annihilate the South. And even I will be powerless to stop them." Unalaq explained to Korra who narrowed her eyes.

"I'm done being manipulated by you. You're going to bring my father back, then you and your troops will return to the North." She said before turning.

"And why would I do that?"

"Because you still need me to open the Northern portal."

"No, I don't. You've served your purpose." Unalaq said, stopping her from taking a step forward.

Korra throws three fire blasts at her uncle, which Unalaq neutralizes with waterbending. Naruto ran over and froze his water before punching him then threw a strong gust of wind to throw them down the hall. "If we get to Varrick's boat, we can still save them," Mako said, having the group run out.

Later, the group got on the yacht where Bolin Varrick and Tonraq were getting it ready to sail. "Where're the rebels?"

"On a ship headed north," Korra replied before looking at her father. "Why are you here?"

"Naruto told me what happened and I think Unalaq would have blamed me for your breakout so I came along."

"Think we can catch up to it?" Korra asked as Varrick nodded.

"Sure, once you get us past our friends from the North."

They look out to see Northern battleships forming a naval blockade. "If only we had a plane to get me close to those ships. I could waterbend them out of the way."

"A plane? Well, why didn't you say so?" Varrick presses a button, causing a biplane to emerge from a hatch having the wings unfold.

"Um, why do you have a plane on your boat?" Bolin asked, pointing at the plane.

"In case the boat sinks, of course," Varrick replied before Naruto spoke up.

"But there's no runway. How are we supposed to take off?"

"Zhu Li! Take note: Build a runway."

"Yes, sir."

Korra then leaned forward on the console at that. "I have an idea."

Naruto ran out and got on a wing with Korra, as Asami in her pilot's suit got in the pilot seat. The engine starts as Asami puts on her goggles, while Korra and Naruto take up position on the plane's wings. Korra gives Asami a thumbs up and Asami starts operating the biplane, which starts moving forward.

"Now!"

Korra and Naruto firebend to provide a boost for the biplane to take off the small ramp and continue until the plane could fly by itself. Korra enters the Avatar State and waterbends a gigantic wave, pushing the battleships out of the way, leaving a gap for the yacht to escape. Korra exits the state and smiles at Naruto who nods.

As they get farther out, Korra, looking around from the wing, spots the ship. "There!" The biplane flies to the ship. As it approaches, the battleship crew members look up at the fast-approaching biplane. "Jump!

Korra, Asami, and Naruto depart the biplane as it continues its course before crashing on the sides of the battleship before exploding.

BOOM!

Korra, Asami, and Naruto swim to the surface before entering the battleship via a waterspout. On landing, Korra uses two water whips to throw the distracted crew members overboard. A stray crew member tries to escape to the door, but Korra freezes him against a wall. "Where are the prisoners?"

As they got to the rebels and to an opening on the side, Varrick sailed by them before they jumped as Northern troops attacked the rebels with waterbending, but Korra and Naruto neutralized it with firebending. Varrick's yacht approaches and everyone jumps on board.

Southern Air Temple.

Tenzin walked up to see his family on the porch before Pema ran over. "Sweetie! You're okay! Oh! I was so worried!" She said hugging her daughter before looking over her shoulder to Jinora and Meelo.] Do you have something you wanna say to your sister?"

"Ikki, I'm glad you're back.

"Yeah, sorry we made fun of you."

"Thanks. Wanna play air-ball?" Ikki asked her siblings who nodded.

"Sure!"

"Yeah!"

Tenzin walks to his siblings at that. "I wanted to apologize for how I acted yesterday. I've worked so hard to celebrate Dad's legacy that I may have overlooked the parts of him that were less than ideal."

"And we're sorry for dumping our frustrations with Dad out on you." Kya said, having Bumi nod.

"Yeah, you didn't deserve that."

Kya then smiled before speaking. "I thought you two might wanna see this. Mom gave it to me before we left."

She showed a picture of them all like kids with Tenzin as a baby with Aang and Katara.

"That is one good-looking family, huh?"

"That's one happy family."

Varrick's Yacht.

"I've been running from my past for too long. It's time to put my brother in his place." Tonraq said to his daughter before a rebel spoke.

"You have our support, Chief Tonraq."

Korra puts her fist to her heart after the others did. "Mine too. I'll be proud to fight alongside you, Dad."

"No, Korra".

"But you said the South doesn't stand a chance against Unalaq's forces. I can help."

Tonraq shook his head at that. "The best way for you to help is by getting the president of the United Republic on our side. The South can give Unalaq a good fight for a while. But we'll need the United Forces to win this war."

"All right, I'll get you all the help you need. I love you, Dad." She said before hugging him.

"I love you, too."

Tonraq and the rebels return to the mainland via an ice raft before Tonraq looks on at the yacht.

Inside the yacht Bolin, in his clothes, closed his eyes. "I really need to thank you, Korra."

"For what? I started a civil war."

Bolin smiled at that. "Exactly! Now Eska and I are officially broken up."

"Oh, looks like we have company! And not the fun kind!" Varrick spoke up looking through a telescope to see a giant wave.

"What is that?"

Bolin takes the telescope from Varrick to take a better look. He gasps before rubbing his eyes for a second look. He sees an enraged Eska with smudged make-up rushing toward them with waterbending. "That would be my darling Eska. Quick question: is this thing fast enough to get away from my crazy waterbending ex-girlfriend?" He asked Varrick who smiled.

"Why do you think I built this boat?"

To Be Continued.

A/N: Thanks for reading and let me know of any mistakes.

Beta Chaos-PSD.

Sorry Ninja in the Web isn't up, when seeing how close I was to this week I decided to work on the others. The only ones I'm not 100% sure will be up is the Star Wars as I got another beta and they have limited time on the computer at the moment and the USM due to still needing to write out 4 episodes.

To those that celebrated it, I hope you had a safe and Happy Hannuka, and to those that celebrate it, I hope you have a safe Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanza, or whatever you celebrate, and if I don't put up a chapter of a story you read by then, I hope you have a safe and Happy New Year.

Next to be updated will be Maelstrom Huntsman.

Nothing else to say.

Talk To You Later,

Lone Wolf Out.🐺
