A/N: In honor of Korra's 10th Anniversary, here is a 5 CHAPTER UPLOAD to finish season 2. Read Ch. 18 first! IDK why, but I was thinking it was next month in May.
Remember to keep voting in the poll that'll go down on Ninja in the web's next update. And if Naruto should learn flying/lavabending, just one, or neither, so far learning both is in the lead but only gotten several PM's/reviews for it I'll stop counting the votes after uploading the first chapter for s3 Change.
Also, forgot to ask those on AO3 about Naruto learning so I'll be using the game's story that takes place between s2 and s3 to allow any over there to give out a vote.

Book Two
Spirits
Chapter VIII
Harmonic Convergence.
Naruto and Korra are reunited, as is the rest of Team Avatar. Meanwhile, Jinora's spirit is still trapped in the spirit world, and Tonraq and his Southern forces have been defeated. Now it's up to Team Avatar to stop Unalaq from freeing the evil spirit Vaatu before harmonic convergence.
Ocean.
Naruto stood beside Korra as she was using her airbending to hit a dummy. He heard chewing before looking to his left and saw Bolin eating pie with a purple raincoat on.
"What's up with the coat? And where did you get that pie?"
"It's a Varrick ship. You never know what you're gonna find. There's a whole level filled with fun-house mirrors." Bolin replied with a smile before turning to show a how in the coat and his pants. "Of course, there's also the cat-gator deck. I miss that guy. He really knew how to make a long trip interesting." Bolin finished before looking at Naruto. "I forgot to ask her but did Korra get the Fire Nation army?"
"No, said she doesn't remember anything after walking to Iroh to ask him," Naruto replied before hearing Tenzin.
"Unalaq will be waiting for you. You'll need all of your Avatar power to stop him."
"I'm going to close the spirit portals, lock Vaatu in for another 10,000 years, and make Unalaq wish he'd never been born!" Korra yelled, throwing a stream of fire at the dummy knocking its head off. Naruto then shot a stream of air, having the head shoot up before throwing another that shot it back over to Korra. "Thanks, Naruto."
"No problem, babe," Naruto said as he saw her skin glisten with sweat while putting the head back on before Kya walked out from the door behind them.
He walked over as Tenzin started speaking. "As soon as we reach the Southern Water Tribe, we'll blast through the blockade at the main port. Then we can rendezvous with Tonraq and his troops, crash through the defenses around the portal, and enter the spirit world.
"Whoa, since when does my little brother want to crash or blast through anything?" Kya asked with raised hands.
"I'll do whatever it takes to save my daughter."
"We all want to save Jinora."
They turned to see Bumi walking to them with pink earmuffs. "But I think your plan might be a tad overaggressive, seeing as there are only eight of us and one ship."
"Really? And what do you suggest?"
"An attack like this calls for strategy. I remember when I was surrounded by pirates in the Hurricane Straits. We managed to capture them all with just a feather, two eggs, and a barrel of molasses." Bumi explained before hearing Tenzin yell.
"I don't want to hear any of your crazy stories now! This is serious."
"Are we almost there?" Naruto asked Asami who walked over to them.
"Almost. But I just picked up a distress signal from the Southern troops. There's a problem."
The South Pole.
Senna walked out of one of the huts in the village before seeing Oogi flying down as Korra and Naruto came in on Naga. "Mom!"
"I'm so happy you're here," Senna said as Korra ran over and hugged her daughter.
"Where's Dad?"
"Unalaq wiped out the entire Southern resistance and captured your father," Senna replied, having Korra narrow her eyes.
"I'll get him back."
Just then, Tenzin holding Jinora's body walked over. "Where is my mother?"
"She's in the healing hut. So many were injured." Senna brought them inside where they saw the hut was full of injured men.
Katara then walked out of a room and up to them, noticing Jinora. "What happened?"
"Her soul is trapped in the spirit world."
"Oh, my goodness. How long has she been away?"
"Almost a week," Kya replied looking down. I've tried to keep her energy flowing, but I can feel her slipping away. You're the only one who can help her now, Mom."
They then took her to a pool where Katara started to wave her hands, having the water glow. "How much longer can she survive like this?" Tenzin asked his mother.
"I don't know. But she's very strong to have lasted this long."
Outside, Korra stood with everyone and spoke up. "I talked to the rebels. They said Unalaq got the southern portal surrounded. Harmonic convergence is only a few hours away."
"Then we have to break through the enemy lines ourselves and get to the portal now." Tenzin spoke up as Korra sighed.
"There's no use in talking anymore. We know what our mission is."
"You know, I was in a similar situation once," Bumi explained, gaining the other's attention. "My platoon had crawled through the desert with no water for a week, but when we finally located the only oasis for 100 miles, it was surrounded by angry Sandbenders. I realized our only chance to get to the water was to drop in from above. So I fashioned together a catapult, and with the help of a few well-trained hog-monkeys-!"
"Enough of your ridiculous lies." Tenzin interrupted his brother "Can't you see that the fate of the world and Jinora's life depends on what we do here today?"
"Hold on. Maybe Bumi's right." Naruto spoke up, gaining their attention. "We don't have a catapult and hog-monkeys, but we have a flying bison, and there's a plane on Varrick's ship. Maybe we can attack from above."
"What are you thinking?" Korra asked Naruto who looked at Asami Mako and Bolin. "Asami, you, Mako, Bolin, can use the plane to create a distraction and scatter some of the defenses.
Korra, you, Tenzin, Bumi, and Kya can fly into the spirit portal on Oogi when you see an opening. I'll hang back in case something goes wrong then attack along with Korra. I'm sure they can't fight two people who can bend all the elements.
"Let's get moving."
South Portal.
Eska and Desna walked into a hut to see their father meditating. "What are we still doing here, Father?" Eska asked as they stopped in front of him.
"The invasion was completely successful, and the Southern Tribe is under our control. The spirit portals are open." Desna spoke up after his sister.
"You've restored balance. Now we would like to go home."
"You don't understand. Everything I've achieved so far will pale in comparison with what I'm about to accomplish." Unalaq explained as he stood.
"What else is there?" Desna asked as Unalaq put his arms behind his back. "The Water Tribe is united."
"After today, there will be no more Water Tribe, no more nations of any kind. The world is about to be transformed into something magnificent and new, and I will lead this glorious revolution. Now go outside and get the troops ready to defend the spirit portal." Unalaq spoke, turning around.
"From whom? We've already beaten everyone." Eska explained as Unalaq sighed at that.
"The Avatar will be here soon. She has no choice."
The Others.
Asami, piloting while the brothers held onto each wing, motioned for those riding Oogi to go up in the clouds before she looked at Bolin. "Are you ready?"
"I'm an Earthbender strapped to the wing of a plane hundreds of feet in the air, so no."
"Don't worry. There's no way they'll be expecting this." Mako yelled over from the other wing.
They then came to see the portal with dark spirits flying around the light and hundreds of mecha-tanks prepared to attack them.
"I think they were expecting it," Bolin yelled out as he pointed at the portal.
Suddenly ice shot at them from the fortress, having Asami dodge them. "Asami!" Bolin screamed as she flew around.
"Get ready." She ordered before flying close to the camp. "Fire!"
Mako begins to firebend at the compound below as the plane makes a pass. As she turned up into the air, Asami then flew back down, having Bolin begin earthbending explosives onto the mecha tanks.
BOOM!
The tanks explode as the plane continues its attack before Oogi approaches the compound. "There are spirits everywhere." Korra mused looking around. "I don't see an opening."
"Let's circle around and see if we can find a way in from the other side," Tenzin said before the spirits flew to them. "Hold on!" As they attacked, several spirits latched onto the bison and started pulling him down. "The spirits are weighing Oogi down. We're losing altitude."
"Get off of him, you sticky, nasty, little blob of goo!" Bumi yelled as he stood and kicked one's head before losing balance and falling onto the spirit. "Whoa! If I go, you're coming with me." He pulled the spirit down and they both fell to the ground. "Aah!"
"Bumi!"
They continued fighting before crashing as did the plane when it was attacked by Desna and Eska.
Korra then woke to see she as well as the others were tied up with her father with her having two scratches on her cheek and her hair free. "Dad."
"Korra, I'm so sorry. I failed you."
"Don't give up. Harmonic convergence isn't here yet. We still have a chance."
"Congratulations, everyone."
She turned to see her uncle walking inside. "You've all got front-row seats for the beginning of the new world order."
"You don't know what you're doing, Unalaq," Korra spoke as she sat. "Freeing Vaatu won't make you powerful. It will only make you a traitor to everything good that's happened for the last 10,000 years."
"You think what Avatar Wan did was good? Driving almost all the spirits from this world? The Avatar hasn't brought balance, only chaos. You call yourself the bridge between the two worlds, but there shouldn't be a bridge. We should live together as one." Unalaq explained looking down at the group.
"Even if Vaatu escapes, I'll put him right back in his prison, just like Wan did."
"It's true that, when Wan fused with Raava, he tipped the scales in her favor. But this time, I'll be here to level the playing field. When harmonic convergence comes, I will fuse with Vaatu. And together, we will become the new Avatar. A Dark Avatar. Your era is over."
"Think about what you're doing," Tonraq said looking up. I know that you've always had a deep connection with the spirits, but you're still a man. You're still my brother. You're Eska and Desna's father. Are you willing to throw your humanity away to become a monster?"
"I'll be no more of a monster than your own daughter. The only difference is that, while she can barely recognize her own spiritual power, I will be incomplete alignment with mine. Vaatu and I will be one. No one will be able to stand against us." Unalaq explained before turning to leave. "Keep them locked up. After the harmonic convergence, I will come for Korra."
"Yes, Father."
"I failed in every way. We've lost Jinora forever." Tenzin spoke up as he sat beside Kya.
"There's still a chance. They didn't get Bumi… Or Naruto." Kya said, glancing up.
Outside, one of Unalaq's men walked by a snowbank before stopping as a hand came out with a white long-sleeve on and stabbed him in the neck with a kunai coming out of the wrist. He was then pulled to the bank before more snow came down on him just as a person jumped out revealing a man in all white clothing, boots, and a cloth mask on his head. He also has strands of fabric over his body that blew with the breeze.
He quickly ran to a hut and slid to hide against it before hearing talking. Jumping up to the top, he saw two men talking at a fire before jumping down, stabbing them in the necks with a kunai that came out of his sleeve. He stood then moved his hands having snow cover the two before seeing another two turn the corner of the hut in front of him.
Flicking his wrists back, he had the kunai pop put before flexing them again, having them fall into his hands. He threw the kunai hitting their throats before grabbing wire that was connected to the rings and pulled them back before the wire pulled the blades back into his sleeve. The man then turned to see a mecha-tank go out of control and destroy everything scaring the rest of the men away
Boom!
It exploded as Bumi shot out of it on a seat into a hut. The man ran over and saw Desna and Eska standing up before holding the kunai to their necks. "Don't move."
"Naruto!" Korra spoke up as the man wrapped his arms around the twin's necks and pulled his mask off with his right hand revealing Naruto.
"Sup? See, you can't do anything without me."
He then slammed their heads together knocking them out before he and Bumi untied everyone as Naga ran in with Pabu on her head. "Bumi, how did you manage to take out this entire encampment on your own?" Naruto asked the retired General who smiled.
"I did it all with my trusty flute and… Oh, never mind. You wouldn't believe it anyway. Let's get moving." He said before they got to the portal before Tonraq spoke up holding his arm.
"You run into the portal. I'll try to hold off anyone who comes after you."
"No, you're too hurt. You need a healer. Asami, can you take Oogi and my dad back to my mom?" Korra asked her girlfriend who nodded. "This is my fight now."
"Korra. I love you." Tonraq said as Naruto looked at the portal.
"I love you too, Dad," Korra said back with a hug as Asami put Naga and Pabu on Oogi before Tonraq got on and they left. "Yip-yip!"
"Once we're inside, you go find Jinora," Korra said to the adults. "Naruto Mako and Bolin will take care of Unalaq while I close the portal, so Vaatu can't escape."
"Wait a second." Bolin raised his hands at that. "Worst-case scenario. So we're fighting Unalaq, you close the portals, and let's just say something happens to you. Are we gonna be trapped in there for eternity?"
"If everything goes as planned, we'll all walk out together after harmonic convergence. If not…" Korra tailed off as Naruto placed a hand on her shoulder.
"We won't fail… Besides, I got an ace up my sleeve."
"What?"
"Hopefully we won't need it if we can get to your uncle and Vaatu before Harmonic convergence. So… Let's go."
They all ran into the portal and came out to see Unalaq at the tree before he went to them while jumping on a dark spirit. "Tenzin, go find Jinora."
"Come on!" Tenzin yelled, running with his siblings following.
Korra enters the Avatar state and dashes forward, preparing to airbend. She then unleashes a wave of air hitting the spirits. Unalaq leaps off the shadow he was on and begins to waterbend a pond of water that he uses to slow his descent by turning it into ice to slide down. As he lands he begins to waterbend again.
Bolin and Mako run forward and begin bending their respective elements to stop Unalaq. Naruto then jumps up and shoots fire at Unalaq, having him pull water to block it before Naruto drops and pulls up chunks of rock and throws them at him as Korra rushes off toward the Southern Portal. As she reaches the portal and enters the Avatar State, Korra attempts to close it.
Mako is launched into the air by Bolin's earthbending to throw fire down. His attack is repelled and he is sent flying backward by Unalaq's attack. Unalaq repels Bolin's attack.
A black and red/orange kite spirit looked out from inside the tree.
"You're running out of time, Raava. I know you feel it coming." The spirit said in a deep man's voice.
Korra is knocked backward by a pulse of energy from the two portals as their energy begins to collide. The two portals begin to create lightning that hits the Tree of Time.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
The lightning suddenly stops and everything goes dark briefly before energy explodes from the tree.
BOOM!
The Tree of Time's energy expands and dissipates, having Vaatu emerge laughing.
