Sorry, this is short, saw the game was only 3 hours and wanted several Chs more to ask for Naruto being able to fly, lava bend, or learn one or neither so let me know.

Spirits

Chapter XXIII

A New Threat.

It's been almost two weeks since Unavaatu attacked the city, so the pro-bending arena decides to hold a charity tournament to raise money to help pay for fixing the damage. But unbeknownst to our heroes, a new threat lurks in the shadows now that the Spirit Portals are open.

Republic City.

"It's pro-bending night once again! In the semi-finals of our special charity championship! Proceeds will go to the Rebuild Republic City Fund to help repair the city after Korra's battle with that man-spirit-monster thingamajig!"

Naruto looked up at the announcer from the locker room before he watched Korra, Bolin, and Mako in the arena in their pro-bending uniforms before the brothers got knocked back and off the platform. "(Sigh.) That's rust for you."

Ding-Ding!

Korra started throwing water at the three on the other team before hitting one back to the next zone. She then blocked a disk before throwing a stream hitting the other two back. She ran into their first zone as the light in the middle turned green. She then started fighting again before deflecting a disk away. Korra threw another stream knocking one member to the back zone where he slid off. Korra then flipped around a stream of fire before hitting the male back to the last zone.

She flipped over a stream of water and spun to throw one herself knocking the third teen back before she got to their zone two. She quickly knocked the two off as the bell rang before cheering. She waved to the crowd as the announcer talked about how she saved the city rather than her team's victory.

Later, Naruto was walking with Korra down a street when he saw large vines around them. They heard something and stopped. Looking to their left, the two saw Triads talking to an elderly man with a hunchback dressed in blue clothing and a hat. The two gang members looked back before running down another alley to their left. "Hey, you, stop!" Korra yelled as they ran over.

"You OK?" Naruto asked the man before his eyes glowed before smiling.

He then disappeared before both Naruto and Korra were hit with what looked like metal knitting needles, knocking them out.

Unknown Location.

The two woke up to see they were on a table before seeing the man talking to chi blockers. "Quickly, we must begin the extraction while she's weak." He said before looking to see Korra and Naruto were waking up. "Quick! They're waking up! Stop them!" The man disappeared before Naruto and Korra got up on the table and threw their arms out. Only for nothing to happen. "That won't work Avatars, you won't be able to fight your way out of this!" They heard the man speak before seeing the three chi blockers getting ready to fight.

The two jumped on the wall and flipped over the group before running out the door and came outside into an alley. "We need to get to Air Temple Island. Maybe Tenzin can help us with what's going on?" Korra asked as Naruto ran ahead to the street.

And hit an energy wall forcing him on his back. "AH! What the hell?" He asked as the three chi blockers dropped down behind them.

"Hold it Avatars."

Naruto got up as the elderly man appeared on the other side of the wall laughing. "I'm afraid I cannot allow you to move right now, Avatars."

"Why are you doing this?!" Korra asked the man just as he disappeared. The two then turned to fight the chi blockers. "We may not be able to bend, but we can still fight!"

Naruto tackled one into a wall before elbowing him in the face and spun and kicked him into a garbage can. Korra had kicked one into the third before running to punch the second several times before Naruto grabbed the third and suplexed him into the wall, knocking him out. Korra uppercuts the final knocking him out, and having the wall disappear.

They ran out into the street and saw vines blocking streets and alleyways before hearing cars. "That way!" Naruto pointed to his left before they ran down the street, got to a large vine, then turned into another alley.

"Amon's gone… Why are the chi blockers here?"

"Maybe that guy convinced them to help?" Naruto shrugged as they came out the other side. And saw more vines. "Damn it! I don't recognize anything now!"

"Chi blockers never blocked my bending for this long before! I feel like it's gone." Korra said, trying to create a ball of air. "What did that old guy do?"

"If he didn't then maybe those needles we got hit with damaged our chi. So it might take longer to get out, bending back."

"This place is a maze now," Korra said as they ran around looking for a landmark. "I know who can get us out, Naga! Naga, can you hear me?! Naga!" She yelled out as they got to a street.

And jumped back as two chi blockers went past on motorcycles. Naruto ran at one that drove at him before jumping up and kicked the man off, having the cycle crash into the other. Suddenly a large group of chi blockers dropped down surrounding the two benders who got back to back. "Woof!"

Naga plowed through the group before Naruto and Korra got on her saddle. "Naga! Good girl!" They then raced down the street with Naga jumping over ditches and vines. "We have to get to Tenzin, he'll know what to do! Hyah!"

After running down the road, dodging traffic and construction, they got to the bay and saw the island. "Good girl, Naga!" Naruto said as Naga slid to a stop by the rail.

"(Howl!)"

Air Temple Island.

"Tenzin?"

Korra asked while they looked around for the Airbenders. "Hello? Tenzin? We need your help."

"Korra, what's wrong?"

"AHH!"

Korra screamed as Jinora's spirit floated down to her in a meditative pose. "Jinora? Where are you?" Naruto asked as Jinora looked at him.

"I'm with the rest of the family in an airship coming back from visiting grandma Katara… But I sensed you two were in trouble."

"Yeah, in a way."

"Some chi blockers hit us with darts that blocked our bending. I think they're following us." Korra explained looking over her shoulder.

"There is spirit water in the jars around the temple. That might help you recuperate." Jinora said, floating to the side and pointing to a large jar at the top of the steps.

Just as chi blockers dropped down. "No time now. Guess we gotta deal with these jerks first." Korra said as she and Naruto got in a stance. "Chi blockers beat us to Air Temple Island? How is that possible?"

"Could the old guy know we were going to come here?" Naruto asked before blocking a strike then tossed the chi blocker into a jar breaking it. "Maybe he sent some here to get us?"

Korra kicked one in the head as Naruto jumped over to kick the third. They then ran up the steps and saw a large jar with blue decorations on it. "There!" They ran over and each took a drink. "I can feel my energy coming back!" Korra said before waterbending water from a pond followed by Naruto.

He then tried to firebend only for nothing to happen. "The others are still gone though." He said before they turned, only to see an earthbender Triad member drop down.

Naruto sighed before pulling water up and threw it at the man's head. He froze it before kicking the man into a wall, breaking the ice, and knocked the man out. "We gotta make sure the temple's OK. Tenzin will blame me if something happens to it." Korra said as Naruto looked over before they ran.

"Why would he think that? It's not like you have a temper or anything." He smirked as Korra puffed her cheeks at that as they ran up the stairs to the temple.

As they got to another level, a firebender Triad member dropped down and threw flames at them. "Hot enough for you?"

Naruto grabbed some water and threw it at the bender as Korra got behind him. She threw him up in the air with water before kicking him towards Naruto who punched him and knocked him out.

They ran up and came to the courtyard before Shady Shin, Two-toed Ping, and Mushi dropped down. "This is worse than I thought! The temple's been invaded!"

"Get ready for a beating!" Shin said as Naruto dashed forward.

He then hit Ping with water, froze it, and kicked his way off the hill. Going to Mushi, Naruto jumped over a rock and kicked him in the knee forcing the gangster to the ground before stomping on his head knocking him out. "Need help Korra?" He asked looking over to see Shin was thrown down the hill and tumbled.

"Nope!" She said, cracking her knuckles. "And don't come back!" She finished walking over as Naruto put a hand on her shoulder.

"Well, let's get some rest. We've been running and fighting since last night." He explained pointing at the rising sun. "Won't do us any good if we're too tired to fight anyone."
