Chapter 4: Reunited!

Mistystar and Spottedleaf kept looking at Fireheart's neck. They sighed in relief as the fatal blow was healed in a flash of fire. Fireheart opened his eyes and asked Spottedleaf weakly, "W-Why? Why would you give me back that power? You need it more than I do." Spottedleaf replied, "I told you. I refuse to keep it. Especially since your life was at risk. Besides, I have you to protect me. Don't I, Fireheart?" Fireheart replied with a blush, "True. I will always protect you just like I protect the rest of the forest. W-Wait. Wait a moment. Do you remember everything I said in your dream?" Spottedleaf purred in amusement and replied, "Yes. Yes I do, Fireheart. Don't worry. Your secret's safe with me." Spottedleaf winked and Fireheart blushed dark red as he muttered, "D-Damn it! I was trying to keep it hidden."

Mistystar asked, "So. About the words you used, Spottedleaf. Why did you call him Firestar?" Spottedleaf replied, "I know you remember him. His real name is Firestar. Fireheart is just the name he is stuck with until he regains his power and reunites the clan he is the Leader of." Mistystar replied, "I knew it." Fireheart replied weakly, still laying down, "Y-You knew what?" Mistystar looked at him and said, "I have been having dreams about being the mate of a Tom who is like fire. The Tom's name is Firestar, and he is the Leader of Lionclan. The only Tom who completely fits that bill is you, Fireheart." Fireheart looked at Mistystar with a slight smile and Mistystar continued, "The issue is, I am missing parts of the puzzle still. Like how are we mates? It's against the Warrior Code to be mates with cats from different clans." Fireheart replied weakly, "Not if the clans consider themselves one, yet still separate." Mistystar thought for a moment and said, "And what clan is even Lionclan?" Fireheart answered, "Lionclan is all four clans combined." Mistystar's eyes went wide and she asked, "Why did all four clans combine into one?"

Fireheart looked at her and said, "Because. There is a terrible evil and darkness coming. The clans combined into one to protect one another and to always be able to help one another. This den we're in, is my Leader Den. Each of the clans built me one so I can travel to each clan and keep the peace and have a place to rest in each clan." Mistystar's eyes went wide in surprise and she said, "So. That's why the den feels important. Why is the den so large?"

Fireheart lightly blushed and answered, "It's so large because I well. How do I put this? There isn't really a nice way to say it. Because I have a harem, Mistystar." Mistystar blushed bright red as she asked, "A-And I was okay with that?!" Fireheart replied, "Yes. You were. Because you knew the source of my power revolves how much I have to defend. And you completely trusted me to only mate and such with the she-cats I actually love and care about. Remember on the journey to the Sun-Drown place? Remember the countless she-cats who tried to join our journey because of me? And how many admitted their love for me?" Mistystar thought back and said, "Yes. I do remember." Fireheart continued, "And how many joined our journey? How many of them did I accept the love of?" Mistystar replied immediately, "The only she-cat who joined our journey was Splash from the Tribe of Rushing Water. You didn't accept the love of any of the she-cats except potentially Splash, but she didn't say that she loved you; as far as I can remember."

Fireheart replied, "Exactly. I am not a player. Nor am I a fucktom." Spottedleaf purred in amusement from this conversation and Mistystar looked at him and replied, "True. You're loyal to the she-cats you love." Fireheart nodded, explained the place where he and Mistystar tasted one another, and said, "I would like you to take a walk around that area, Mistystar. Please. I'd come with, but I can hardly move." Spottedleaf said, "We can all take a walk around that area. Fireheart, your strength and power might return on the walk." Spottedleaf looked at Fireheart with a knowing glance. Fireheart took a deep breath and said, "Alright. Let's go. If I can get up." Fireheart got to his paws shakily and took a breath. Fireheart's body was screaming at him to stay still, but he ignored it.

Spottedleaf got on Fireheart's left side to support his weight if she needed to. Fireheart looked at her and said, "Thank you." Spottedleaf nodded her acknowledgement. Mistystar got on Fireheart's right side and they walked out of his den together. Mistystar called for a clan meeting.

As Riverclan grouped up below Mistystar, Fireheart began to walk down to the rest of the clan, but Mistystar said, "Join me up here, Fireheart." Fireheart looked at her in disbelief. Spottedleaf asked him quietly, "Can you get up there by yourself? She probably wants you up there with her to either keep an eye on you or to test another one of her theories." Fireheart replied quietly, "Maybe. My body wants me to not move, but I can do it."

Reedwhisker asked Mistystar, "Why are you having him join you up there?" Mistystar replied, "I need to see something. That is all." Fireheart walked up to Highledge and sat next to Mistystar. Fireheart looked down at Riverclan and took a deep breath, his natural talent for Leadership keeping him calm and collected. Mistystar thought to herself, 'He really is the Leader of Lionclan. This feels completely normal to have him up here talking to the clan with me, and he isn't nervous at all; meaning he is used to this.'

Fireheart's pelt ignited in white flames as more of his strength and power returned to him. Riverclan said, "Get away Mistystar! You might catch aflame!" Mistystar didn't back up and said to Fireheart loud enough for all of Riverclan to hear her, "Your fire doesn't seem to be burning me. Instead I feel safe near it. I wonder why. Guess Fire really will save the clans. Won't it? Yes. I remember exactly what you said when you came to Riverclan on the day the Dark Forest attacked." All of Riverclan except the apprentices gasped in disbelief as they finally remembered seeing Fireheart that day. Fireheart's pelt had white fire flowing around it freely. Fireheart looked down at Riverclan. Mistystar said to him quietly, "Oh yes, Firestar. I remember almost everything now. But I am missing one last piece of the puzzle. I told you that I'd remember you eventually, no matter how long it takes me. Let's go take our walk." Mistystar raised her voice and said, "Fireheart, Spottedleaf, and myself are going to be gone for a little bit. Reedwhisker, make the patrols, however, don't send a patrol to the Thunderclan border."

Reedwhisker gasped in disbelief and asked, "Why?!" Mistystar replied, "Because. I have remembered many things. This young Warrior next to me is an ally. As is all of Thunderclan. Because he almost died to protect a clan that wasn't even his without even wanting a reward for it. And when was the last time Thunderclan was even remotely hostile to us?" No one could answer and Mistystar said, "Exactly. I am going to Thunderclan with these two to talk to Bramblestar about something that we've all forgotten about. And Bramblestar is gonna want to meet his new Medicine Cat." Reedwhisker kept his mouth shut and nodded in understanding. Spottedleaf lightly purred at Mistystar's words.

Fireheart extinguished the flames on his pelt and almost collapsed. Mistystar caught him and said quietly, "Let's go take our walk, Love." Fireheart looked at her in disbelief and asked, "Y-You finally remembered all about me?" Mistystar shook her head no and replied quietly, "I do know we are mates. I remember everything except for what we did when we took a walk after you made the speech about combining Riverclan and Thunderclan into one. I have a feeling about what we did, but I want you to confirm it." Fireheart blushed lightly and nodded in understanding. Fireheart walked down from Highledge with Mistystar on his right side. Spottedleaf padded up to them and took Fireheart's left side. They left the Riverclan camp together.

In Thunderclan:

Lionstar was in the Nursery with Ivypool, Honeypaw, and Silverstream. Windstream asked, "How was Fireheart the last time you saw him?" Honeypaw replied honestly, "It wasn't looking good. But he'll make it through this. He has to make it through this." Ivypool mewed, "Yeah. He will make it through this. He's been through worse and came out alive." Silverstream said, "True. We just have to hope he'll make it through this. I don't even want to imagine a world without him." Silverstream lightly sniffled and Lionstar licked Silverstream's head gently and said, "Don't fret. He will come back to us. He always does." Flowerkit was asleep near her mother.

With Fireheart, Spottedleaf, and Mistystar:

The group was nearing the place where Mistystar and Fireheart tasted each other before. Mistystar sat down. Fireheart and Spottedleaf followed suit. Mistystar said, "I need you to confirm this, Fireheart. Did we do something on the night we took a walk before the journey to the Sun-Drown Place?" Fireheart looked at Mistystar and then at Spottedleaf. He took a deep breath and said, "Yes. Yes we did, Mistystar. Sorry for acting like I had Deja Vu." Mistystar said, "It's fine, Fireheart. Give me a summary of what happened."

Fireheart nodded in understanding and began, "You felt as if I deserved a reward for doing what I did when I fought off the Rogues attacking Riverclan, by myself. I told you there was no need and that seeing you was reward enough. We stayed in your Den until night fell. And then we took a walk because you said you had something you wanted to show me."

Fireheart took a breath and continued, "So. We went near Thunderclan territory near the lake. I smelled the scent of heat and excitement. I immediately knew what you wanted to show me because of those smells. I was nervous, because I was not ready to mate. But you were shy and nervous as well, so I knew you felt the same. You told me to be gentle, because it was your first time. I immediately said we don't have to mate if you didn't want to. You breathed a sigh of relief and said you were glad I said that; because you were not ready to mate. You then called me a gentleman because I told you I was also not ready to mate. You then said I could taste you, or that you could taste me. Or both. You said you wanted to do both. I was hesitant at first, but you said that I had earned everything I was getting here, and then even more. I nodded in understanding. You told me to come get it if I want it, and you took off running." Mistystar listened attentively to what Fireheart was saying.

Fireheart took a deep breath and continued, "I caught up to you eventually. I leapt at you and pinned you in this bush." Fireheart pointed at the bush he was next to with his tail. Fireheart mewed, "You did your best to show me all of you. I traced your body with my eyes and said this was your last chance to deny it and asked if you were sure. You said you were sure, but no mating, at least not yet. I agreed. And then you and I had a taste of one another." Mistystar said, "So. My Deja Vu was true." Fireheart nodded. Spottedleaf said, "Interesting." She then teased, "I think I want a taste." Fireheart blushed dark red and said, "What about Firestar? You don't love me as far as I know, but you do love Firestar."

Spottedleaf said with a hint of sadness, "I can no longer be with Firestar. I gave up my life as a member of Starclan to give you your power of the Phoenix back. I used the power you gave me and came back to the clans as a member of Thunderclan. My bad. As a member of Lionclan. I am just as young as I was when Clawface killed me." Fireheart mewed, "I told you to keep it. I would've been fine without it."

Spottedleaf said, "I know, believe me. I know. But I couldn't risk that chance. For… reasons that you will need to figure out yourself. You're an intelligent Tom. It shouldn't take you long. But you're also modest, so it may take you a while. I do know that you'll figure it out eventually." Fireheart nodded in understanding. His pelt ignited in pure white flames. He backed away from Mistystar and Spottedleaf and got a vision.

Fireheart looked up and saw the five moons symbolizing the clans. The large moon that symbolized the four creature army approached Riverclan's moon. Riverclan's moon ignited in pure white flames. The large moon tried to break through Riverclan's moon. But it was sent back forcibly. It kept trying, but the Riverclan moon kept it at bay. The large moon went around Riverclan's moon and broke through the moons that symbolized Windclan, Shadowclan, and Thunderclan. Lionclan's moon was ablaze with pure white flames. Fireheart watched Riverclan's symbol combine with Thunderclan's symbol and made half of Lionclan's symbol. The large moon tried to break Lionclan's moon, but it was sent forcibly back. Fireheart gasped as a crack appeared on the large moon symbolizing the four creature army. Fireheart's vision faded and he almost collapsed, but he was caught by something.

Fireheart looked around and realized Spottedleaf caught him. Worry and concern was in both Spottedleaf's and Mistystar's eyes. Fireheart said, "Just a vision. Riverclan will not fall to the army approaching them, because I'm now able to stop them. Approximately twenty-five percent of my power and strength has been restored. Mistystar has now completely remembered me." Mistystar said, "I told you that I'd eventually remember you, Firestar. Mousebrain." Fireheart purred weakly and said, "Until I completely reunite Lionclan, call me Fireheart."

Fireheart smirked and thought to the rest of his harem, 'Guess who has returned to us, mates.' Ivypool replied, 'Mistystar's back! Good job Fireheart! I'm so happy to hear your voice again, Fireheart! Seems like you've recovered.' Mistystar replied, 'That's right. I'm back. It took me a while, but I came back.' All of the she-cats who remembered who Fireheart really was, warmly welcomed Mistystar back. Fireheart felt a different presence than he was used to in his harem's mind channel, but the owner of the presence said nothing. Fireheart pondered who the owner of the new presence could be. He immediately got a thought. Fireheart thought to himself, 'Spottedleaf. But that doesn't make sense because as far as I know, she doesn't love me. I do care about her. And I do love her. The way she acts, her personality, etc. She's utterly perfect. Just like the rest of the she-cats in my harem. But her mind should only connect to the channel if she loves me too. So, it can't be her. Unless…' Fireheart shook his head and thought to himself, 'Nope. No way. I must be imagining the other presence.'

Fireheart took a deep breath and smiled. Mistystar kissed him lightly and he kissed back gently. Fireheart purred happily and they walked towards Thunderclan's camp.

Bramblestar padded out of the Leader's Den as Fireheart walked into the Thunderclan camp with Mistystar and Spottedleaf. Most of Thunderclan looked at Mistystar and Spottedleaf curiously, but Bramblestar walked down to them. He said, "Mistystar. What brings you here?" Mistystar replied quietly, "Something that most of the forest has forgotten. Lionclan." Bramblestar's eyes widened in surprise and he looked at Fireheart. Fireheart smiled and nodded. Bramblestar purred lightly and said, "So. You've finally remembered." Mistystar nodded and then Bramblestar looked at Spottedleaf. Bramblestar asked her, "What brings you here from Starclan, Spottedleaf?" Spottedleaf replied slowly, "Remember what Fireheart did to save me on the day the Dark Forest attacked?" Bramblestar nodded and Spottedleaf continued, "I finally used the power he gave me. I am no longer a member of Starclan. I used his power to bring myself back to life to the same age that I was when Clawface killed me. I have come to ask to rejoin Thunderclan as a Medicine Cat."

Bramblestar's jaw dropped in disbelief and Fireheart said, "I would like her to rejoin Thunderclan as well. Do not make me pull a slick trick, Bramblestar. That trick would be the same one you pulled on me before." Bramblestar mewed with amusement quietly, "I see. Well. We already have two Medicine Cats. Why doesn't she join your clan as a Medicine Cat, Firestar?" Fireheart chuckled and replied quietly, "She can join as the Medicine Cat of Lionclan after I reunite the clans. For the time being, I am going to be the only member of Lionclan, because only I can stop the army. I refuse to risk other cats' lives. After I use the same trick you pulled on me however. Don't make me do it, Bramblestar." Bramblestar purred teasingly and said, "You won't." Fireheart laughed quietly and said to Bramblestar quietly, "As the Leader of Lionclan, I tell you to let her join Thunderclan as a Medicine Cat. That's a direct order." Bramblestar laughed and said quietly, "I knew you would do it. I just wanted you to get your revenge. Alright, Fireheart. I will do that. After all, the word of the Clan Leader is The Warrior Code." Bramblestar called a clan meeting and made the announcement.

Jayfeather walked over to Spottedleaf and said, "Well. I guess Thunderclan has three Medicine Cats now. For the time being." Spottedleaf nodded and Honeypaw asked, "Why did you give up the power of the Phoenix that Fireheart gave you?" Spottedleaf replied, "It's hard to explain. I will simply say that I realized that I had something that he lost. And he has to restore that which was lost to get back to full strength and power. That is all." Honeypaw purred teasingly and said teasingly, "I am sure that is all. No other reason at all." Spottedleaf lightly blushed. Jayfeather purred in amusement and asked, "Have you fallen for him, Spottedleaf? Don't forget, I can always force my way into your thoughts to find out for myself."

Spottedleaf replied, "That's a dirty trick. That is not how the power you were given from Starclan is supposed to be used." Jayfeather laughed quietly and said, "Maybe so. But it is my power after all." Spottedleaf sighed and Jayfeather said, "Don't worry. I won't do it. I am sure I will be able to tell eventually after a bit based on how you act around him."

Fireheart walked towards his den to rest. Bramblestar stopped him and said, "It's time to reunite Riverclan and Thunderclan. Ready to make another speech about it?" Fireheart looked at him and asked, "Can I rest first? I am still fairly weak compared to usual." Bramblestar replied, "Sadly no. We need to do this fast, before Riverclan starts thinking we catnapped their leader." Fireheart nodded in understanding and Bramblestar said quietly, "Call the meeting, Fireheart." Fireheart sighed and walked up to Highledge. He took a deep breath and yowled, "ALL CATS OLD ENOUGH TO CATCH THEIR OWN PREY, MEET UNDER HIGHLEDGE FOR A CLAN MEETING!" The cats in Thunderclan grouped up below Highledge. Fireheart expected to hear cats telling him to come down from Highledge because very few cats remembered he was a Leader, but no arguments were heard. He said, "Mistystar. Come up to Highledge with me. You as well Squirrelflight and Bramblestar." The cats he called walked up to him and took their respective places. Fireheart looked at Mistystar and she nodded.

Fireheart took a deep breath and mewed loudly, "It's time to do this once more!" No one said anything and Fireheart continued, "It's time to reunite Thunderclan and Riverclan into one. And no. We are not doing this to drive any clan out. Eventually, Windclan and Shadowclan will rejoin the clan known as Lionclan of their own accord! Riverclan is not an enemy. They are an ally. We need all the clans to group into one to defeat the darkness that is coming!" Fireheart took a breath and yowled, "TOGETHER, WE ARE AN UNSTOPPABLE FORCE! WE WERE STRONG WHILE SEPARATED! BUT TOGETHER, WE ARE TRULY A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH! IT'S ABOUT TIME I TOLD YOU ALL THE TRUTH! TIGERSTAR IS BACK! AND HE IS MAKING HIS OWN ARMY! HE WANTS REVENGE ON THE CLANS!" Yowls of disbelief and fear were heard, but Fireheart continued, "DO NOT FEAR! WE CAN STOP HIM AS LONG AS ALL THE CLANS ARE REUNITED INTO LIONCLAN! WHICH WILL TAKE A BIT OF TIME BECAUSE OF REASONS TO DIFFICULT TO EXPLAIN RIGHT NOW! BUT I PROMISE THAT I WILL NOT FALTER AS LONG AS I CAN STILL FIGHT! AND NONE OF YOU SHOULD FALTER EITHER! FOR WE ARE LIONCLAN, AND WE DO NOT FEAR ANYTHING! WE ARE THE CLANS OF THE FOREST AND TIGERSTAR WILL NOT DRIVE US OUT OF OUR HOME! NOR WILL HE DEFEAT ANY OF THE CLANS! I PROMISE THAT I WILL PERSONALLY END HIS TERRIBLE EVIL ONCE AND FOR ALL! I PROMISE THAT WE WILL NOT BE DEFEATED BY THAT PITIFUL EXCUSE FOR A LEADER! WE WILL RISE ABOVE HIM AND HIS ARMY! WE SHALL TEACH TIGERSTAR AND HIS ARMY TO FEAR THE NAME LIONCLAN! WE SHALL GIVE THE FOREST A TIME OF PURE PEACE! WE HAVE STARCLAN ON OUR SIDE! WE SHALL NOT BE DEFEATED! WHO'S WITH ME?!" Fireheart's pelt ignited in pure white flames that flowed around his body freely. Yowls of approval roared through the Thunderclan camp. Fireheart smirked and yelled, "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" Louder roars of approval flowed through the Thunderclan camp and Fireheart yelled, "ONE MORE TIME! LOUD ENOUGH FOR STARCLAN TO HEAR US AS WELL!" Fireheart was nearly knocked over from the overwhelming roar, "WE ARE WITH YOU FIREHEART!"

Fireheart purred lightly and said, "I shall go make this speech to Riverclan as well. With Mistystar's permission of course." Mistystar giggled and said, "You don't need my permission for something like that. You know why you don't." Fireheart purred lightly and replied quietly, "True. But I refuse to take any of the duties, privileges, etc. from the respective Leaders' of the four clans of Lionclan. I just lead Lionclan as a whole." Fireheart walked down from Highledge with Mistystar.

Fireheart walked out of Thunderclan with Mistystar. Mistystar began brushing against Fireheart's flanks when they were out of sight. Fireheart purred quietly. Fireheart caught a whiff of the scent of heat and he blushed dark red. Mistystar said teasingly, "So you do smell it." Fireheart nodded and took a deep breath and said, "Maybe after the speech, we can take care of it. If you'd like." Mistystar purred and said, "Then who would lead Riverclan if I get pregnant and become a queen?" Fireheart replied, "Reedwhisker. He is your deputy after all. If he needs help with decisions, send him Bramblestar's way." Mistystar said, "If he does need help, I think I will send him your way." Fireheart asked, "Why? I may be a Leader, but I have not done anything except the Warrior Naming Ceremony for Silverstream, Splashfur, Grayclaw, Specklepelt, and Ferncloud." Mistystar said, "That is not true. You have done many things a Leader would do." Fireheart looked at her and Mistystar continued, "First and foremost, you have risked your life time and time again to protect YOUR clan. Any Leader worthy of being a Leader would do that. All of the current Leaders of the clans have done that. Some more than others. Another thing, you've made decisions to protect and keep YOUR clan safe and happy. How many cats would've gone back in time, if they could; and risk losing everything, just to keep a promise?" Fireheart replied, "I do not know." Mistystar replied immediately, "No cat would. Except you. Even I wouldn't have risked it. But you did. You nearly died because of that. And you still could die because of it. I can keep going on and on, but we'd be here all day." Fireheart nodded in understanding.

Mistystar and Fireheart walked into the Riverclan camp. Reedwhisker greeted them, "Welcome back Mistystar and Fireheart. Glad to see you're okay Fireheart." Fireheart nodded and looked at Mistystar. She nodded and Fireheart took a deep breath, an aura of Leadership surrounding him.

Fireheart padded up to the Highledge of Riverclan and took a deep breath. Mistystar padded up behind him and brushed his flank with hers noticeably. Fireheart felt himself calm down. He yowled, "ALL CATS OLD ENOUGH TO CATCH THEIR OWN FISH, MEET UNDER HIGHLEDGE FOR A CLAN MEETING!" Riverclan grouped up below him. Mintfur asked, "What the hell are you doing up there Fireheart?! You are not the Leader of Riverclan! You're a Thunderclan cat!" Fireheart chuckled and said, "No. I am a Lionclan cat. Know what, I guess I'll be entirely honest. I am the Leader of Lionclan. It's time for me to be remembered by Riverclan." Mistystar said, "I had Fireheart call the meeting, because he has something important to say." Riverclan looked at Mistystar in disbelief, but kept quiet.

Fireheart smiled and said, "It's time to do this once more!" No one said anything and Fireheart continued, "It's time to reunite Thunderclan and Riverclan into one. And no. We are not doing this to drive any clan out. Eventually, Windclan and Shadowclan will rejoin the clan known as Lionclan of their own accord! Thunderclan is not your enemy. Thunderclan is an ally. WHICH WILL TAKE A BIT OF TIME BECAUSE OF REASONS FAR TOO DIFFICULT TO EXPLAIN RIGHT NOW! BUT I PROMISE THAT I WILL NOT FALTER AS LONG AS I CAN STILL FIGHT! AND NONE OF YOU SHOULD FALTER EITHER! FOR WE ARE LIONCLAN, AND WE DO NOT FEAR ANYTHING! WE ARE THE CLANS OF THE FOREST AND TIGERSTAR WILL NOT DRIVE US OUT OF OUR HOME! NOR WILL HE DEFEAT ANY OF THE CLANS! I PROMISE THAT I WILL PERSONALLY END HIS TERRIBLE EVIL ONCE AND FOR ALL! I PROMISE THAT WE WILL NOT BE DEFEATED BY THAT PITIFUL EXCUSE FOR A LEADER! WE WILL RISE ABOVE HIM AND HIS ARMY! WE SHALL TEACH TIGERSTAR AND HIS ARMY TO FEAR AND REMEMBER THE NAME, LIONCLAN! WE SHALL GIVE THE FOREST A TIME OF PURE PEACE! WE HAVE STARCLAN ON OUR SIDE! WE SHALL NOT BE DEFEATED! WHO'S WITH ME?!" Fireheart's pelt ignited in pure white flames that flowed around his body freely. Yowls of approval roared through the Riverclan camp. Fireheart smirked and yelled, "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" Louder roars of approval flowed through the Riverclan camp and Fireheart yelled, "ONE MORE TIME! LOUD ENOUGH FOR STARCLAN TO HEAR US AS WELL!" Fireheart was nearly knocked over, but Mistystar caught him; from the overwhelming roar, "WE ARE WITH YOU FIREHEART!"

Fireheart smiled and Mistystar said, "I have an announcement to make. I should apologize first. Sorry Reedwhisker." Fireheart looked at Mistystar curiously and Reedwhisker asked, "Why are you apologizing to me?" Mistystar replied loud enough for Riverclan to hear her, "I have finally found the Tom for me. Starclan always gave me hints on who to wait for, hence why I never took a mate and remained single!" Fireheart blushed lightly as he looked at Mistystar as she continued, "I have decided to tell you all who my mate is, because I am no longer afraid of being judged for obvious reasons!" Riverclan looked up at Mistystar curiously. Mistystar took a deep breath and said, "Fireheart is my mate! That is why I apologized to you, Reedwhisker, because I know you love me." Fireheart expected to hear yowls of disapproval, but Fireheart only heard Reedwhisker mew, "Treat her right, Fireheart. Or Starclan help me." Fireheart replied, "Of course Reedwhisker. I am sorry." Reedwhisker said, "It's fine. Hope you make her happy. And since we are one clan, but still separate, it isn't against the Warrior Code." Fireheart nodded and said, "Meeting dismissed!" Riverclan dispersed.

Fireheart was about to walk down from Highledge when Mistystar said, "Join me in my den, Fireheart." Fireheart nodded in understanding and followed Mistystar to her den.
