Chapter 6: The First Push

The sun hit Fireheart's pelt. He had stayed awake all night to protect Mistystar as she slept after they mated. Fireheart was extremely tired. The scent of sex was in the air. Fireheart yawned and Mistystar stirred. Mistystar opened her eyes and smelled the scent of sex. She purred lightly and tried to get up, but couldn't. She looked at her legs and realized they were numb, and that they were still shaking a little bit. Mistystar giggled and Fireheart said tiredly, "Good morning, Beautiful. How are you feeling?" Mistystar replied, "I feel like I am still feeling the effects of being mated by you. I can't even get up." Fireheart asked, "Shall we go wash up? I can carry you." Mistystar answered, "Yes please. I think your seed has been in my fur long enough for it to do whatever it's supposed to do if it's good for my fur." Fireheart purred lightly and uncurled his tail from around Mistystar. He got to his paws tiredly and yawned. Mistystar asked seriously, "Are you tired Firestar? Did you not sleep?! Mousebrain!" Fireheart laughed and replied, "The answer to your questions is yes. I stayed up to protect us, because I knew you were in no condition to fight anything if something approached us."

Fireheart heard loud footsteps approaching. Fireheart immediately jumped in front of Mistystar to protect her, his exhaustion forgotten as he ignited his pelt with white flames. He watched a badger approach them. He immediately stopped being hostile as he recognized Midnight and extinguished the flames from his pelt. Midnight looked at the two of them and smelled the scent of sex in air.

Midnight said, "Smells like you had a good night, Firestar." Fireheart replied, "You do remember me." Midnight replied, "Of course I do." Fireheart asked, "How is the forest life treating you?" Midnight answered, "Better than I expected it to. But I still want to get back to my actual home." Fireheart replied, "I understand. I'd go take care of them right now, but I am in no condition to do that currently. But they will only be around for four moons hopefully. Only four months. Then the army should be defeated for the time being. Meaning you'd be safe to return to the Sun-Drown place." Mistystar was still laying down, unable to move. Midnight said, "I will let you get back to it. Just wanted to catch up with my forest friends." Midnight left.

Fireheart picked Mistystar up by the scruff of her neck gently and walked to the Lake. He gently put Mistystar down at the edge of the lake. He began washing Mistystar's body up as best as he could with moss, the cold water lapping at his paws. Mistystar purred lightly.

Once Mistystar was cleaned up, Fireheart went to help her out of the water, but she walked out shakily. Fireheart said, "I really did a number on you. You're still shaking." Mistystar purred more and said, "Yes. You did do a number on me. But I like it. The fact that I am still a little shaky, means you did a good job. You put your all in mating me. I appreciate that. You don't half-ass anything; do you?" Fireheart blushed at the praise and replied, "It isn't my way to half-ass anything."

Mistystar and Fireheart walked towards the Thunderclan camp, flanks brushing as Fireheart helped her walk as she was still a little shaky. A yowl was heard as they approached the Thunderclan camp. Fireheart said loudly, "Calm down! It's just Mistystar and me!" Crowfeather said as he approached them, "Welcome back Fireheart. I see you brought Mistystar with you. And she's shaky. Gee. I wonder why." Crowfeather's eyes gleamed teasingly.

Fireheart chuckled lightly and was about to say something when he got tackled by someone. They rolled on the ground and Fireheart ended up on top and pinned the cat below him. Fireheart saw that Silverstream was below him, pinned; and he said teasingly, "I'm gonna assume you missed me. I was only gone for a night!" Silverstream said, "Maybe so, but it felt like forever! I wanted to sleep with you in the den!" Fireheart purred lightly and said, "We can sleep together tonight. I promise. And I don't break a promise." Silverstream said, "Good. I will be waiting in the den tonight. I however don't think we will be able to be alone. Oh well." Fireheart laughed and said, "You're probably right."

Fireheart's eyes went to the Medicine Den as Honeypaw and Spottedleaf walked out together. Mistystar followed Fireheart's eyes and purred lightly. She said quietly, "Spottedleaf is quite beautiful. I can understand why Firestar was interested in her. Even though she's truly beautiful, she isn't a bitch about it. She has a phenomenal personality. Even as a she-cat, I can say that. Especially since that one night after you defeated the dark version of yourself where all the she-cats that were in your harem at that time, had a little taste of one another and had our juices drip on your face to bring you back. I realized then that I could definitely mate with a she-cat. And I know the rest of the Harem realized that as well after that night." Fireheart blushed and replied quietly, "I was only looking at Honeypaw. Don't sell yourself short, Mistystar. You're also truly beautiful. As are the rest of the she-cats in my harem. And you have a phenomenal personality as well." Mistystar giggled and said, "Sure you were, Firest…. Fireheart." Crowfeather chuckled and said, "I remember who he really is. As does Leafpool. Since she used to be a medicine cat, she remembered. So she reminded me who Fireheart really is."

Spottedleaf and Honeypaw walked over to Mistystar, Fireheart, Silverstream, and Crowfeather. Spottedleaf looked at them and her brilliant amber eyes took Fireheart's breath away as he looked into them. Honeypaw's amber eyes looked at Fireheart knowingly and she giggled quietly. Spottedleaf said, "Glad to see you two are back safely. And Mistystar seems unable to stand on her own. I wonder what you two did last night." Fireheart blushed dark red and opened his mouth to say something when Mistystar said, "You already know." Spottedleaf giggled quietly and said, "Yes. Yes I do. The scent is masked well, but it's still there. And if I can smell it, you can bet that Dovewing's able to smell it too. But she hasn't left the Warrior's Den since last night. Go speak to her, Fireheart. I need to figure out if Mistystar's pregnant. The question is, am I able to figure it out so soon after she's been mated." Fireheart nodded and Spottedleaf took Fireheart's spot next to Mistystar as he began to pad to the Warrior's Den nervously.

Fireheart waited outside the Warrior's Den. He let his nerves calm down and he walked into the Warrior's Den. Dovewing raised her head to look at him. She asked, "Why are you bothering me, Firestar?" Fireheart looked around to make sure no one else was in the den, took a breath, and said, "I never wanted you to find out like that. Especially the fact that I used to be a Twoleg. I truly am sorry. I meant to tell you if we ever decided to mate so you could find out who your potential mate used to be before you made the final choice to mate." Dovewing said, "That dream I have every night about fire; it's about you. Isn't it?" Fireheart replied honestly, "Yeah. Yeah it is." Dovewing said, "I need some time to process all of this. Please. Just…." Fireheart interrupted her before she could say anything else, "Be happy Dovewing. That is what matters to me. Even if I don't make you happy. Just be happy. Be with Bumblestripe if that is what will make you happy. I will be fine. Don't worry about me, Dovewing. Do what is best for you. Follow your heart, for it will never steer you wrong." Dovewing nodded in understanding. Fireheart said, "Regardless, I will always love you and care about you Dovewing. No matter what your choice is. And please, until I reunite Lionclan, call me Fireheart."

Fireheart's heart ached as he left the Warrior's Den. He muttered, "I never should have kept it secret. This is my fault. I fucked up. I am a fucking idiot for keeping that secret. I… I can't do it anymore. I need to tell the clans at the Gathering. I…. I have to. It's fucking tearing me apart, piece by piece." Fireheart sighed sadly, his heart aching. He looked at the Medicine Den as Mistystar and Honeypaw walked out. The she-cats in his harem that remembered who he was, minus Dovewing, felt his sadness, and immediately swarmed him, except for Windstream as she was nursing Flowerkit. Honeypaw asked, "What's wrong?" The rest of the she-cats waited for his response. Fireheart flashed his best fake smile and said, "Just. I fucked up. I fucked up majorly. I can't keep it a secret anymore. I just can't. It's tearing me apart." Honeypaw's, Silverstream's, Lionstar's, and Mistystar's eyes went wide. Silverstream tried to stop him, but Fireheart was quicker. He said to Ivypool quietly, "I used to be a Twoleg, Ivypool. I was murdered in cold-blood. The original Leaders of Lionclan and Tigerclan decided to bring me back as the cat with powers you see before you so I could try to prevent anyone else going through what I went through as a Twoleg." Ivypool's dark-blue eyes went wide in disbelief and Fireheart continued, "If you want to leave me and the harem, I completely understand. Be happy, Ivypool. That's what matters to me."

All of the cats talking in this paragraph are whispering to one another.

Ivypool took everything in and replied, "Don't be such a dumbass. I won't leave you just because of what you used to be. That is not who you are now. You're Firestar. The Leader of Lionclan. The savior of all eight clans. You are my mate, and I am yours. It's gonna take a hell of a lot more than who you used to be to drive me away. You're stuck with me forever, Firestar, whether you like it or not, but I know damn well you like it." Fireheart smiled weakly and said, "I see. Alright Ivypool. I should go talk to Bramblestar about the Gathering that's coming up. I want to g.." Mistystar interrupted him and hissed quietly, clearly angry, "No. You are not going to announce your darkest secret at the Gathering to all the fucking clans. You're highly intelligent. And you're definitely reckless occasionally, but that is quite possibly the dumbest and most reckless fucking thing you have ever thought about doing. I will tell Bramblestar to leave your ass behind, and he will listen to me!" Fireheart looked at Mistystar in disbelief and he asked, "Why shouldn't I tell them?!" Mistystar replied seriously, still upset, "Cats from all the clans could potentially group up to drive you out of the Forest! And then who will save the Forest?! I do not think Honeypaw and Silverstream can do it alone! No offense to you two. But I am certain Firestar is the only one out of all of us that can not be injured in battle." Honeypaw and Silverstream replied, "None taken. None of us have Firestar's powers. We all share the most basic ones, and we each have a unique power that only Firestar might potentially share with us, but we do not share his inability to die on the field of battle." Fireheart said to Mistystar, "I would still defend the Forest even if I was driven out! The Forest will always be my home regardless of what happens!" Mistystar said with a tear, "Maybe so! But let me tell you something. I am pregnant! Who would be the father of our kits if you were forcibly exiled from the clans, Firestar?!" Hearing those words made Fireheart realize that he could not share his darkest secret to the clans. Not until he had saved the forest and brought peace, and even then, he probably wouldn't tell the clans his darkest secret. Fireheart gently wiped the tear from Mistystar's blue eyes with his tail and said, "Alright. Alright. I submit. I won't tell the clans at the Gathering. I don't want to leave our kits without a father. Because that would be completely shitty. And leaving you all in a Forest without me in it would also be completely shitty." Mistystar said in relief, sniffling, "Thank you." Honeypaw, Silverstream, Lionstar, and Ivypool mewed their congratulations to Fireheart and Mistystar, all of them relieved that Fireheart had submitted and given into reason.

The group is now speaking at a normal volume, unless otherwise specified. Sorry that I did it like this. Go ahead and call me lazy, but I really didn't want to keep typing whispered and replied quietly for that long of a paragraph.

Fireheart nuzzled all the she-cats around him affectionately. The she-cats purred lightly.

Squirrelflight made the patrols and hunting parties for the day. Fireheart had nothing to do for once. He was quite shocked, but also relieved. He was extremely stressed out from the conversation with Dovewing and he was grateful for the break. He watched Honeypaw going to take care of the apprentice duties and offered to help. Honeypaw replied calmly, "Go see Jayfeather and Spottedleaf for something to relieve your stress and such. I can tell how stressed you are, just by looking at you. It's practically flowing from your body. And your heart and mind has weakened because of the chat you had with Dovewing. Go. I will get someone else to help me." Fireheart opened his mouth to argue, but Honeypaw said, "As your medicine cat, I am telling you that you need to go see Jayfeather and Spottedleaf, Fireheart." Fireheart closed his mouth and nodded in understanding.

Fireheart padded into the Medicine Cat Den. Jayfeather asked, "Did your dumb ass get into a fight against something and now we have to treat your wounds because you're an idiot?" Spottedleaf said, "Give him a break Jayfeather. He is clearly extremely stressed. And there is something else too. I can kind of sense it." Spottedleaf walked over to Fireheart and said, "Sorry that Jayfeather is such a grump." Jayfeather said, "I wouldn't be so grumpy if the clan didn't treat me different just because I was fucking born blind!" Spottedleaf ignored him and asked Fireheart, "What can we do for you, Fireheart? My bad. What can I do for you, Fireheart?" Fireheart chuckled weakly and answered, "Honeypaw sent me for something to relieve the stress I am feeling, and to strengthen my heart for some reason." Spottedleaf said, "So. Chamomile to strengthen the heart and soothe your mind. I do not understand how you're so stressed since you mated just last night and got Mistystar pregnant; which I am still shocked I was able to tell if she was so soon after mating; since I am sure mating relieves a lot of stress, but alright. Juniper Berries to calm you down, which should relieve stress. Poppy Seeds to help you sleep and soothe your distress. Thyme to ease the nervousness I know you're feeling which is also causing you to be stressed. That should be all you will need. I will add some honey to make it easier to swallow." Fireheart replied, "No need."

Spottedleaf said, "Hush you. I am adding honey to the concoction to make it easier for you to swallow whether you like it or not even if you argue." Jayfeather's ears twitched at Spottedleaf's words. Spottedleaf said, "Stay here until I come back with the concoction." Fireheart sat down and Spottedleaf muttered, "I have never had to mix so many herbs just to relieve stress. Then again, I have never had a patient that is this stressed out. His stress is overwhelming. I can practically feel it flowing out of his pelt. I suppose, the weight of the forest on one cat's shoulders would be stressful for any cat. The weight of the forest should be on Honeypaw's and Silverstream's shoulders as well, but Fireheart feels as if he has to handle the weight all by himself, just to keep the ones he cares about safe. But I don't think that is why he is stressed out. He is truly just like Firestar used to be. I know I say that all the time, but I can't believe how much Fireheart is like Firestar. I never thought any cat would be anything like Firestar. I thought Firestar was one of a kind. I was wrong. Guess he is two of a kind. Starclan, forgive me. I think it has happened again, and of course with Thunderclan yet again."

Fireheart watched Spottedleaf mix the herbs together with expertise, her skill with medicine obvious. His eyes could barely keep up with how fast Spottedleaf's paws were moving. Fireheart watched Spottedleaf wrap up the herbs gracefully with some laurel leaves. She gently picked up the wrap in her mouth and walked over to Fireheart. She dropped the parcel in front of him gently. Fireheart bent his head to pick it up, when he felt someone's nose brush his cheek gently. Fireheart blushed as Spottedleaf did that. He breathed in her sweet, warm scent as his heart raced faster than he expected it to be able to after his conversation with Dovewing. He said, "Thank you for the herbs, Spottedleaf." Spottedleaf replied sweetly, "You're welcome, Fireheart. If you need more, come see us. Go now. And eat those in your den." Fireheart nodded and picked up the parcel. He walked out of the Medicine Den purring lightly.

Fireheart padded to his den with the parcel in his mouth. He walked into it and laid on the ridiculously large mossbed. He set the parcel down gently and opened it. Fireheart breathed in the scent of the herbs and ate them slowly, the honey making it easier to swallow. He let the herbs go to work and he began to feel drowsy from the Poppy Seeds. Fireheart's eyes closed as he passed out.

That Night:

Fireheart woke up as the light of the moon hit his pelt. He looked around groggily and realized his mossbed was filled with she-cats. He took a deep whiff of the air and sighed in relief as he recognized the scents of his harem. Fireheart muttered, "Another week and a half before the army approaching makes the first push against Riverclan. I need to train." Fireheart tasted the air and smelled a scent he immediately recognized that he never expected to be in his den with him. He looked over and saw Spottedleaf curled next to him, their tail tips touching. He blushed dark red and muttered, "She is probably only here to make sure the herbs she gave me did their job. It was a rather large mixture for relieving stress. Starclan only knows what could've potentially happened by mixing so many stress relievers into one concoction. I could've lost a life." Fireheart's eyes began to close again.

The Next Morning:

Fireheart's eyes shot open as the sun hit his pelt. He didn't smell Spottedleaf in his den with him anymore, but he did smell the rest of the she-cats from last night. Fireheart said quietly, "I was right. She only came here to make sure the herbs she gave me didn't take one of my lives and that they did their job. I definitely don't feel nearly as stressed as I was yesterday. Alright. Time to train. Who to train with? My father? Makes the most sense because we practically have the same power of being unable to get hurt in combat. I need to be as strong as possible for the push. And I won't use the Heavenly Cat Drive unless I have to. Alright. Let's go! I think I will shorten it to Heavenly Drive. Seems nicer and easier to say." Fireheart got up and licked Mistystar's, Silverstream's, Ivypool's, Honeypaw's, and Lionstar's heads gently with affection and murmured, "I love you." to all of them.

Fireheart padded out of his den. He stretched his body and walked into the Nursery. Windstream raised her head and purred lightly as Fireheart entered. Windstream said, "Seems like you're feeling better. I don't feel an ocean of stress coming from you. I am just gonna assume the chat with Dovewing didn't go well." Fireheart's ears lowered and he said, "Yeah. It didn't go well. How is Flowerkit?" Windstream replied, "She's strong. Just like you. And her eyes have finally opened. I was worried for nothing. She still hasn't said her first words yet. That will take a while. Probably in two more moons."

Flowerkit looked up at her father with her hazel eyes. Fireheart smiled and said, "Hey Flowerkit. I am your father." Flowerkit mewed. Fireheart smiled more and said, "Yes. I am." Flowerkit mewed again. Fireheart purred and licked Flowerkit's head gently with fatherly affection. Fireheart said to Windstream, "Mistystar's pregnant as well." Windstream said, "Congratulations!" Fireheart said, "Yeah. I do not know where she will have her kits. It could be here in Thunderclan or in Riverclan. I love you Windstream. And I love you too Flowerkit." Windstream purred lightly and said, "I love you as well, Fireheart." Flowerkit mewed. Fireheart left the Nursery with a smile. He had decided to ask Spottedleaf why she was in his den last night. He had an idea, but he wanted her to confirm it.

Fireheart walked into the Medicine Den. Jayfeather and Hollyleaf were curled up in their mossbed. Spottedleaf raised her head from the herb store and said, "Yes Fireheart? Need another stress reliever parcel?" Fireheart replied quietly, "No. I have come to ask you why you were in my den last night? Not that I mind, I am just curious. I woke up and saw you curled next to me." Spottedleaf replied with slight hesitation, "I was just making sure the herbs didn't take one of your lives. It was a rather large amount of herbs for stress." Fireheart noticed the hesitation and saw Jayfeather's ears twitch. Fireheart said, "Alright. I am gonna go train with Lionblaze. I need to get stronger to fight the army approaching Riverclan." Spottedleaf said, "Don't use your claws and teeth. You are still weaker than you usually are. So you might not heal quickly."

Fireheart noted her concern and said, "I am unable to promise that we won't use claws and teeth. I will talk to Bramblestar and try to get me and Lionblaze off patrols and hunting parties for the next week. I need to train relentlessly, or the army that I fight will take one of my lives, if not more. I refuse to use the Heavenly Drive." Fireheart turned to leave, but he felt Spottedleaf's tail touch his to stop him. He turned around, Spottedleaf's face near his and Spottedleaf said, "Be careful. Please." Fireheart blushed at how close his and Spottedleaf's heads were. All Fireheart had to do to kiss Spottedleaf was move his head an inch forwards. He shook the thought away mentally and replied, "I am always careful. And I have to be extra careful because you are right. I am not as strong as I used to be. I still have to restore Splashfur's and Heathertail's memories. I do not think Dovewing is going to come back to me. Which is fine. It hurts me, but I kept a secret that I shouldn't have kept. I fucked up. It is all my fault. And now I have to deal with the consequences." Fireheart sighed and Spottedleaf said, "It will all work out somehow, Fireheart. When one door closes, another one opens." Fireheart's eyes went wide as Spottedleaf used a Twoleg saying.

Spottedleaf whispered to Fireheart, "Hopestar told us in Starclan that Lionstar and Stripestar brought a Twoleg who was killed in cold blood back to life as a Warrior. We were all shocked but Stripestar explained why Lionstar and him did it. They also explained a few Twoleg sayings. How those two knew about Twoleg sayings, I have no idea, unless they were keeping an eye on your twoleg self. I know it's you, Fireheart. And that doesn't change anything. You are not a Twoleg anymore. You're a Warrior. I figured I'd use a Twoleg saying to remind you to not give up." Fireheart said, "Well. You definitely used the saying correctly. Thank you." Spottedleaf purred lightly and said, "Anytime. Go now. Unless you want some herbs." Fireheart replied, "I am fine."

Fireheart padded out of the Medicine Den and thought to himself, 'When one door closes, another one opens, eh. She's right. Just because I failed, doesn't mean I won't succeed at something else or have another opportunity for something else to replace what I failed at. Or something like that. If I lose Dovewing, it will hurt just as much as when I was shot as a twoleg, but I will be fine. I will still love her and care about her, and I wouldn't ignore her. I would still try to be a friend and I will cheer her and Bumblestripe on. Because they both deserve to be happy. Maybe this is a good thing. Bumblestripe will have another chance to be with Dovewing. Because I have never seen him love someone as much as he loves Dovewing. Alright. I will lose that portion of my powers that being with Dovewing gave me, but it's fine as long as she is happy. My powers and strength are just a blessing from Starclan. I don't need them. They're just a gift to make my life easier anyways. Fuck my Twoleg life. I am a Warrior now. Alright. I am fine now. I think.'

Fireheart walked to the Leader's Den. Bramblestar invited him in. Fireheart walked in and sat down. Bramblestar asked, "What can I do for you, Fireheart?" Fireheart said, "I want Lionblaze and I to be free from border patrols and hunting parties for a week." Bramblestar asked, "Why? If you don't mind me asking." Fireheart answered, "I want to train relentlessly with Lionblaze for the week. I need to get stronger in order to defend Riverclan from the army approaching them." Bramblestar said, "I could just tell you the Heavenly Cat Drive chant so you will be at full power." Fireheart replied, "No. I had Honeypaw and Silverstream tell me about it because I knew you wouldn't tell me until I really was at full power. I refuse to use it unless I absolutely must. I refuse to die." Bramblestar sighed and said, "I should've figured you would've told someone else in case I refused to tell you it. You're crafty." Fireheart said, "It was an indirect way, yes." Bramblestar sighed and said, "Alright. I will tell Squirrelflight to keep you and Lionblaze off the patrols and hunting parties for a week." Fireheart said, "Thank you Bramblestar." Bramblestar nodded and walked out of the Leader's Den with Fireheart. Bramblestar walked over to Squirrelflight before she made the patrols and whispered something into her ears. Squirrelflight nodded in understanding.

Fireheart walked to the Warriors' Den and looked for his father. He saw him slowly getting up. Cinderheart was already awake and she said to Lionblaze, "Come on." Cinderheart's eyes rested on Fireheart and she said, "Hello Fireheart. How is my only son doing?" Fireheart replied honestly, "I've been better. I need to train with Lionblaze." Lionblaze's eyes lit up at the word train. He was on his paws in a matter of seconds. Fireheart stifled a purr of amusement.

Lionblaze asked excitedly, "When do we start, Fireheart?!" Fireheart chuckled and said, "Right now. Seems you still enjoy training, even as a Warrior. We will be using our claws and teeth, as we do have the same power practically. No mercy." Lionblaze said with a purr, "My favorite kind of training. Let's go!" Lionblaze booked it out of the Warrior's Den. Fireheart looked at his mother, and Cinderheart sighed as she said, "Toms." She then said, "Try not to kill each other. You both have limits. Don't go past them." Fireheart said, "We will be fine mother. I promise." Cinderheart nodded in understanding and Fireheart left the Warrior's Den.

Fireheart followed his father's scent to the training hollow. Fireheart walked into the Training Hollow and immediately heard something jump at him. Fireheart jumped to the left and Lionblaze landed where Fireheart used to be. Lionblaze said, "Seems like you were ready for a surprise attack." Fireheart chuckled and said, "I have only been caught off-guard twice in my life. Both times were from a she-cat." Lionblaze chuckled and his muscles bunched in anticipation. Lionblaze said, "Just like old times when you were my apprentice, Firestar. That's right. I remember who you are. As does your mother." Fireheart chuckled and said, "To be expected. Bring it."

Lionblaze leapt at Fireheart. Fireheart ducked under the leap and chuckled as he leapt at Lionblaze, claws out. Lionblaze rolled to the side as he landed and Fireheart's claws hit nothing. Lionblaze leapt at his son. Fireheart let his body drop and Lionblaze flew over him. Fireheart clawed Lionblaze's hind legs as Lionblaze flew over him. Blood splattered Fireheart's pelt. Lionblaze's wound healed just as swiftly as it was made. Lionblaze landed and whirled around, teeth bared. Fireheart got to his paws and faced his father. Fireheart said, "I caused the first wound this time. Maybe you're getting rusty." Lionblaze chuckled and said, "Doubtful."

Fireheart made the first move this time. He leapt at Lionblaze. Lionblaze jumped up and landed on Fireheart's back, clawing it. Fireheart hissed quietly in pain and Lionblaze backflipped off of Fireheart's back. Lionblaze bolted forwards and scratched Fireheart's flanks. He then hit Fireheart in the left flank with his shoulder, sending Fireheart flying into a tree. Fireheart's legs brushed the tree and he forced himself to stop with his strength. Fireheart leapt to the ground. Lionblaze said, "Tigerstar taught me that one. I never use it because he is the one that taught me it. I figured I'd make an exception this time." Fireheart chuckled as the injuries caused by his father healed in a flash of fire. Fireheart said, "Tigerstar may be a piece of shit, but we have to admit, he knows how to fight. I am sure Tigerstar has made his own moves." Lionblaze said, "You are right. Tigerstar does know how to fight. And Tigerstar has come up with his own moves. He taught me some of them. I never use them for obvious reasons." Fireheart said, "I understand. You don't want to use them unless you have to. I am an opponent that you should use them against, because I have the same powers as you." Lionblaze said, "True. Alright. Let's go."

Fireheart and Lionblaze sparred until night was about to fall. They were both gasping for breath. The sand in the Training Hollow was drenched with blood. As they were both exhausted, their power took longer to activate. Fireheart's pelt was covered in blood and wounds. Lionblaze's fur was matted with blood and he was also injured. Fireheart said, gasping for breath, "That is enough for today. We start again at the same time tomorrow. If you'd like." Lionblaze nodded his agreement, unable to speak as he was breathing heavily to catch his breath. Father and Son began to walk back to Thunderclan's camp slowly trying to catch their breath as they walked.

They were greeted warmly as they entered Thunderclan's camp. Cinderheart was sitting in the middle of the clearing. She walked over. Fireheart and Lionblaze looked at each other, and gulped in fear. Cinderheart hissed, "Look at both of you! You two look like you haven't groomed in weeks! Both of you look like you fought an army of badgers! Starclan help me! What am I supposed to do with these two mousebrains?! I didn't expect you two to fight each other all day!" Fireheart said, "It was my idea. I said we should fight all day and surpass our limits." Cinderheart's gaze turned to Fireheart. Fireheart gulped and Cinderheart sighed as she said, "You two haven't healed. Go see the Medicine Cats. NOW!" Fireheart said, "Yes mother."

Lionblaze and Fireheart walked to the Medicine Cat Den side by side. Fireheart said, "That was, without a doubt, the best fight I have ever had." Lionblaze replied, "I can say the same, son." They walked into the Medicine Den. All three Medicine Cats were on their paws at the scent of blood. Jayfeather walked over to his brother and asked, "What the actual fuck happened to you, Lionblaze?" Lionblaze said, "Me and my son trained all day." Jayfeather turned his blind gaze to Fireheart and said, "You did this?" Fireheart replied, "Yeah… He did just as much to me. It was one hell of a battle." Jayfeather hissed, "That isn't the point, dumbass! Now we have to treat both of you cause you two mousebrains decided to fight using claws and teeth! If either of you complain or even wince in pain, I will claw both of you!" Honeypaw said, "Sorry. Jayfeather's in a worse mood than usual." Lionblaze said sarcastically, "Gee. I couldn't tell. I thought he was happier than a mouse who found a place to eat safely." Jayfeather's gaze shot to Lionblaze and he closed his mouth. Spottedleaf hissed to Fireheart, "I told you be careful, mousebrain!" Fireheart was taken aback at Spottedleaf's tone of voice and anger. Jayfeather's ears twitched and Jayfeather stifled a purr of amusement. Jayfeather thought to himself, 'That right there told me all I needed to know. She never gets angry.' Jayfeather chuckled lightly. Spottedleaf looked at him and immediately realized her mistake.

Honeypaw said, "We should treat both of them before we send them to rest. They are both exhausted so their power won't activate" Spottedleaf regained her composure and said, "You're right Honeypaw." Jayfeather asked, "What do we use for two idiots who fought each other?" Honeypaw shook her head and said, "Marigold and Goldenrod chewed up into a poultice to prevent infection and heal the wounds. Cobwebs to soak up the blood. And Dandelions for a pain killer if they need it." Jayfeather purred lightly and said, "Correct. Something tells me that they will do this again, so no dandelions." Fireheart thought to himself, 'He's correct. We will be doing this for the next week. I need to be stronger to defeat the army approaching Riverclan. The last half a week after this week of training will be my recovery period before I face off alone against the army approaching Riverclan. I need to be prepared for the worst case scenario. I need to get Mistystar to evacuate her clan. I will talk to Mistystar and Bramblestar about it.'

Fireheart and Lionblaze sat still, not complaining, as the medicine cats took care of their wounds. Spottedleaf and Honeypaw were tending to Fireheart, and Jayfeather was tending to Lionblaze. Once the Medicine Cats were finished, Fireheart said, "Thank you." Lionblaze mewed his thanks. The medicine cats said that the two were welcome. Fireheart said, "I can't rest yet. Is Mistystar here? I need to talk to her and Bramblestar." Jayfeather said, "Yeah. She's in your den." Spottedleaf and Honeypaw looked at Fireheart in disbelief. Fireheart said, "Thanks Jayfeather."

Fireheart and Lionblaze left the Medicine Cat Den after they shared tongues to get rid of the blood on their pelts. Spottedleaf immediately said to Jayfeather, "Keep what you found out a secret." Jayfeather chuckled and said, "I will. But how long will you be able to keep it a secret from him? He may act like an idiot sometimes, but he is highly intelligent." Honeypaw said, "I will also keep it a secret. I figured it out after you snapped at him." Spottedleaf said, "I don't plan to keep it a secret forever. But for the time being, he has enough on his plate."

Fireheart walked to his den and poked his head in. Mistystar looked up and purred lightly as she saw Fireheart. Fireheart said, "We need to talk to Bramblestar." Mistystar nodded in understanding and got up slowly. She stretched and walked out of Fireheart's Den. Fireheart and Mistystar walked to the Leader's Den, flanks brushing. Bramblestar welcomed them in.

Bramblestar asked, "What can I do for you two?" Mistystar said, "Ask Fireheart." Fireheart said seriously, "I want you to evacuate your clan before the army gets near them, Mistystar." Mistystar's eyes went wide and Fireheart asked, "Would it be okay if Riverclan stayed in Thunderclan until I have taken care of the army approaching Riverclan, Bramblestar?" Bramblestar said, "That is quite an unusual request, Fireheart." Fireheart mewed, "I know. I know it is. But that way I have space to retreat safely to prepare the next attack. My best shot at winning the fight is guerilla tactics, because I am not at full strength so I can't just start a free for all against the army by myself." Bramblestar thought for a second and said, "You don't think the Gathering Island will be a good place for them to evacuate to?" Fireheart said, "I do not believe so. I am sure some of the enemies in the army approaching Riverclan aren't afraid to swim to get to their target." Bramblestar mewed, "That is quite the predicament. You did expand all the dens three times their original size. We should have the space, but it is up to Mistystar if she wants to evacuate to Thunderclan." Mistystar said, "Yeah. I think I will evacuate Riverclan to Thunderclan. As Thunderclan is our only ally currently until Fireheart reunites Lionclan. How long until the army gets close, Fireheart?"

Fireheart answered, "About a week and a half from now is when they will launch the attack. I'd evacuate them the day before the army is supposed to get near. That's just my opinion." Mistystar thought for a second and said, "I will evacuate them a few days before they get close. That way the scent of Riverclan is slightly more stale and harder to track." Fireheart said, "Brilliant plan." Mistystar said, "Thank you, Fireheart."

Fireheart mewed, "Now. I need to sleep because I have more training with Lionblaze tomorrow morning." Fireheart was about to walk out of the Leader's Den when Bramblestar asked, "How bloody is the training hollow?" Fireheart replied, "It is quite a mess. Lionblaze and I went all out. And we will continue to go all out until the week is over. Then I will have a recovery period and just hope to Starclan I am ready to take on the army." Bramblestar nodded in understanding and Fireheart walked out of the Leader's Den with Mistystar.

Fireheart asked, "Want me to walk you home?" Mistystar laughed and said, "I can handle it. You need to rest anyways. Get some sleep, Fireheart. I will talk to Mothwing and Willowshine about moving their herbs here in the morning. Rest well Fireheart." Fireheart replied, "You as well." Mistystar left Thunderclan's camp. Fireheart looked at the Fresh-kill pile. His stomach grumbled. Fireheart walked towards it and grabbed a pheasant. He ate slowly and walked to his den.

Fireheart purred lightly as Splashfur was in his den waiting. Fireheart asked, "Mind if I ask why you're in this den? Not that I mind." Splashfur looked at him and her eyes lit up. She said, "I came here to try to remember what I am forgetting. It must be something big that I am forgetting, because I don't feel complete. I wanted to sleep in it and hope to Starclan it helps me figure it out. If that's okay with you. I know it's your den. I always see you going in and out of it. Ivypool, Lionstar, and Silverstream were in it before. I asked them to leave." Fireheart mewed, "Of course you can sleep in it. I can sleep in the Warrior's Den tonight." Fireheart turned to leave, but Splashfur mewed shyly, "I was actually hoping you'd sleep in it with me. It may help me remember." Fireheart blushed lightly and said, "You sure? Sleeping in a den alone with a random Tom could end badly for you." Splashfur said, "You aren't a random Tom! You're the Tom who nearly died to save my life and the Tribe when Sharptooth attacked the Tribe of Rushing of Water. I know you wouldn't do anything creepy to me!" Fireheart said, "You're right. I would never dream of doing anything creepy to you. Alright. I will sleep in here with you." Splashfur purred lightly and Fireheart walked into his mossbed and laid down. Splashfur laid next to him. Fireheart wrapped his tail around her in a protective manner. Splashfur purred lightly and her body relaxed as Fireheart's tail was touching her body as it was wrapped around her. She snuggled closer to Fireheart's body. Splashfur quickly fell asleep. Fireheart quietly purred happily as he muttered, "I have missed you, Splashfur. I also miss Heathertail. And Dovewing." He sighed quietly as he said Dovewing's name. Fireheart closed his eyes and fell asleep.

The next day:

Fireheart opened his eyes as the rising sun hit his pelt. He looked around and saw that Splashfur was still sleeping next to him. He purred lightly and noise at the entrance to his den made him alert. He tasted the air and recognized his father's scent. Fireheart said, "Come in." Lionblaze walked in, barely able to contain his excitement. Lionblaze opened his mouth to say something when he saw Splashfur sleeping with Fireheart. Lionblaze asked quietly, "Ready for round two?" Fireheart replied quietly, "Yeah. Just let me wake up Splashfur." Lionblaze asked quietly, "Has she remembered you yet?" Fireheart shook his head no. Lionblaze nodded in understanding and walked out of the den to wait for his son. Fireheart gently poked Splashfur. She stirred and opened her orange eyes. Fireheart mewed, "Rise and shine. Long day ahead of you." Splashfur giggled and said, "I appreciate you sleeping in the den with me, Fireheart. I have remembered a little bit. I remember showing you the special place close to my heart in the mountains. I remember viewing the Northern Lights with you. That is all I have remembered." Fireheart purred quietly and said, "It was quite the sight to behold. Especially with a she-cat just as beautiful; if not more beautiful, as the Northern Lights were." Splashfur blushed dark red and said shyly, "I-I am not even close to as beautiful as the Northern Lights are." Fireheart mewed, "Trust me. You are." Splashfur blushed more and got up slowly, and hid her face shyly. Fireheart gently made her look at him. He looked into her Orange eyes and she looked into his Emerald gaze. Splashfur asked shyly, "Y-Yes?" Fireheart replied, "Just wanted to see your beautiful eyes again." Splashfur blushed more and said shyly, "I-I wonder if I am on the border patrol. See you around Fireheart." Splashfur's heart was racing as she looked into Fireheart's eyes for a couple more seconds before she left the den. Fireheart watched her go.

Fireheart stretched and walked out of his den. Lionblaze asked him, "What did you do to Splashfur? She was quite flustered." Fireheart answered, "Nothing. Just said she was as beautiful as the Northern Lights and I called her orange eyes beautiful." Lionblaze purred in amusement and said, "She clearly has a crush on you still, even though she has forgotten you." Fireheart said, "I don't know. You might be right." Lionblaze rolled his eyes and asked, "Ready?" Fireheart nodded.

Fireheart and Lionblaze walked to the Training Hollow. The sand was still red as the blood of Fresh-kill. Fireheart felt himself being watched and he looked around. Lionblaze tasted the air and said, "Come out Hollyleaf." Hollyleaf came into view. Lionblaze sighed and said, "You know I don't meet Heathertail anymore. Yet you still follow me." Hollyleaf mewed, "That isn't why I am here, mousebrain. Jayfeather asked me to keep a close eye on you two and to stop the battle if it gets too dangerous." Hollyleaf turned her green gaze to Fireheart and said, "I also wanted to thank you, Firestar, for bringing me back." Fireheart replied, "I made a promise to Jayfeather. Wait. Did you just call me Firestar?!" Hollyleaf mewed, "Yes. I remember bits and pieces of my life as a Starclan cat. I remember… you know." Fireheart knew she was talking about the Leader Naming Ceremony and said, "I see. Well. I would recommend not intervening with the fight no matter how bad it gets. I need to train. I need to be able to fight the army approaching Riverclan. I really don't want to lose a life. And please, call me Fireheart until I reunite my clan." Hollyleaf said, "Alright…. I am also sorry for what you've lost." Fireheart said, "It's fine." Hollyleaf nodded in understanding.

Lionblaze looked at Fireheart and said, "I am just gonna assume she gave you a life in the past. And now that life is gone because she is no longer hunting with Starclan." Fireheart and Hollyleaf looked at him in disbelief and Lionblaze said, "It's common sense that cats of Starclan have to give the extra lives to a Leader." Hollyleaf mewed, "It's against the Warrior Code to talk about the ceremony, Lionblaze!" Lionblaze shook his head and asked Fireheart, "You ready?"

Fireheart looked at his father and said to Hollyleaf, "I recommend backing up. I'm truly gonna go out this time." Lionblaze's eyes went wide and he said, "You don't mean... that. Do you?" Fireheart chuckled and said, "No. I will not use the Heavenly Drive. I made a promise to Honeypaw and Silverstream to never use it unless I absolutely have to. But I am gonna do this." Fireheart ignited his pelt into white flames. Hollyleaf's eyes went wide as she immediately backed up to prevent being burned. Hollyleaf said, "I-I have never seen you fight, Fireheart. How do the flames not hurt you?!" Fireheart said, "It's a part of my powers from Starclan. It is quite unusual. I think it was meant to actually be my first powers from Starclan, but because I somehow inherited my father's power as well, it combined with his. It's both an offensive and defensive power. I can choose to have it burn a cat when they attack me or not, and I can have it improve my own attacks. This is one way to have it improve my attacks." Fireheart's claws ignited in flames.

Lionblaze chuckled and said, "Interesting. Are you gonna burn your father?" Fireheart laughed and said, "No. I just wanted to show it off. But I am gonna use it to improve the power of my attacks. You won't get burned, but it will hurt much much worse than my normal attacks." Lionblaze laughed and said, "An actual challenge. About fucking time." Fireheart laughed and said, "Bring it, Lionblaze." Lionblaze purred in amusement.

Lionblaze and Fireheart sparred until night fell again. Hollyleaf didn't stop the fight at all except to force Lionblaze and Fireheart to eat once at sun-high. The Training Hollow was covered in blood yet again. Fireheart extinguished the flames from his pelt and nearly collapsed as exhaustion set in. Fireheart's heart raced. Fireheart nearly fainted. Lionblaze caught him just in case. Fireheart mewed his thanks weakly and said weakly, "I did not think I would be able to keep that going all day long. I think we may have to skip tomorrow's training, because I can barely stand. I may have overdone it this t…." Fireheart blacked out.

Hollyleaf said, "That was an impressive fight. And he did overdo it. He is not at full power yet. The fact he was able to use his power that long without fainting during the battle, is a miracle in itself." Lionblaze picked his son's limp body up and put it on his back. Lionblaze shook his head and said, "He really did inherit my thick-headedness." Hollyleaf said, "No shit Lionblaze." Lionblaze and Hollyleaf walked back to Thunderclan.

They were greeted as they walked back into camp. Spiderleg looked at Fireheart's unconscious body and he yowled, "WE NEED A MEDICINE CAT STAT!" Honeypaw and Spottedleaf walked out of the Medicine Cat Den and looked at Fireheart. They ran to Lionblaze. Honeypaw asked hastily, "What the hell happened to him, Father?!" Hollyleaf replied, "He overdid it and blacked out." Spottedleaf sighed and said, "Even after I have told him to be careful. Toms. Bring him to the Medicine Den, Lionblaze. And I am halting your training with him for a day. He needs to recover." Lionblaze nodded his understanding. Spottedleaf said, "Neither of you seem nearly as battered as you two were last night." Lionblaze said, "Yeah. Must be an increase of endurance. Which allows our powers to activate for longer periods of time. Strange how it increased so much after just one day. Or maybe it's because Hollyleaf forced us to stop and eat at sun-high so we kept our strength up." Lionblaze walked to the Medicine Cat Den, Fireheart's unconscious body still on his back.

The next day:

Fireheart opened his eyes. He felt exhausted. He looked around and realized he was in the Medicine Den. Fireheart noticed it was Sun-high. He said, "Shit! My training with Lionblaze!" He tried to get to his paws, but he was immediately pinned. Fireheart noticed two cats over him. Fireheart blushed as he realized that Spottedleaf and Honeypaw were pinning him to the ground. Honeypaw said, "No. You're staying in here to recover because you overdid it last night, brother." Spottedleaf said, "That's right. We will keep you pinned here all day and night if we have to, Fireheart." Fireheart mewed, "That's why I still feel exhausted. You two realize I can just get up even if I am pinned." Fireheart tried to get up, but found he couldn't. Honeypaw replied sweetly, "Since you're exhausted, Love; you aren't as strong as usual." Spottedleaf giggled and said, "Honeypaw's correct, Fireheart. You are not as strong as usual." Fireheart cursed under his breath and said, "Fine. Fine! I will stay here to recover." Spottedleaf and Honeypaw said in unison, "Wise decision, Firestar." They got off of him and Fireheart said, "I am famished. Would one of you please get me something to eat. I'd do it myself, but I would just end up getting pinned again." Honeypaw mewed, "I will go get you something to eat. Spottedleaf's gonna stay in here to keep a close eye on you to make sure you don't leave."

Honeypaw left and Spottedleaf looked at Fireheart and asked, "Why would you risk dying by overdoing it?" Fireheart replied, "Because. I need to be ready to fight the army approaching Riverclan." Spottedleaf asked, "Who's gonna save Riverclan if you die?" Fireheart said, "Lionblaze." Spottedleaf shook her head and said, "This may come as a shock but Lionblaze is not strong enough. Only you are, because the powers you were supposed to have, combined with your father's. I do not know how it happened, but it did. It never should've happened, because it basically means you can't die no matter what, because of your power of the Phoenix. There is only one thing in this world that can kill you. Do you remember what it is? I know I told you." Fireheart replied, "Yeah. I do. The only thing in this world able to kill me, is myself." Spottedleaf said, "Exactly. Meaning if you overdo it, you will end up killing yourself because of it. You are your own worst enemy." Fireheart chuckled and said, "Another Twoleg saying. But you didn't use that one correctly." Spottedleaf replied, "Yes. I did. If you keep over doing it without a break, that choice is gonna be the death of you. You need to take care of yourself as well. You can't forget about your own safety and health, but you always do." Fireheart sighed and said, "I do that, because I feel like I must. Having the weight of the Forest on my shoulders makes me try my best to protect the Forest. Even if it costs me."

Spottedleaf said, "The weight of the Forest is not supposed to be on your shoulders alone. It should also be on Honeypaw's and Silverstream's shoulders. But you don't see it like that because you feel like you have to handle the weight of the world by yourself, just to keep those that you love and care about; safe. It's an admirable trait that Firestar also had, but you need to learn that you aren't alone in your fight against the Darkness. Firestar never learned that, and it cost him his last life. I don't want you to end up like he did. Fighting a terrible evil alone, and finally dying because of it. I don't ever want that to happen to you! It's bad enough that I lost Firestar!" Spottedleaf's eyes watered. Fireheart got up and wiped Spottedleaf's tears away gently. Fireheart gently made Spottedleaf look at him and said, "I promise that it won't happen. And I don't break a promise. I know you see Firestar reborn when you look at me. So I also promise that you won't lose me, because it'd be like losing Firestar all over again, and I refuse to put you through that again." Spottedleaf blushed lightly and thought to herself, 'You have no idea Fireheart! It would be exactly like losing Firestar all over again! Should I tell Fireheart? No. Not yet.' Spottedleaf looked into Fireheart's emerald green gaze, his gaze making her feel exactly like Firestar's gaze made her feel, and she blushed as she said, "Alright Fireheart. I trust you." Fireheart flashed a brilliant smile and Honeypaw walked into the Medicine Den with fresh-kill for Fireheart. She looked at Spottedleaf and Fireheart and asked teasingly, "Did I ruin a special moment? Like the kiss after a loving gaze?" Fireheart and Spottedleaf blushed dark red and Fireheart mewed, "I highly doubt Spottedleaf wants to kiss me. She loves Firestar. Not me. Which is fine." Honeypaw giggled at Fireheart's response and looked at Fireheart and Spottedleaf with a knowing gaze. Fireheart ate the food that Honeypaw brought him.

The Day before the First Push:

Fireheart's heart was racing. Mistystar had already evacuated Riverclan to Thunderclan. Fireheart was much stronger than he used to be. The training with Lionblaze had allowed him to be able to fight using his power for an entire day without too much of a consequence. Dovewing and Fireheart were talking normally now, but it felt forced instead of natural. Fireheart was as prepared as he was gonna be for the upcoming battle. Bramblestar walked down to him and said, "It's almost that day. How are you feeling?" Fireheart replied honestly, "I think I will be fine. My training with Lionblaze has improved my overall ability to use my power for extended periods of time without respite. I am as ready as I am ever going to be. I may not be at full strength, but Tigerstar's army is going to regret wanting to attack Riverclan. I will try my best to keep them alive. But if they try to kill me, I will show no mercy." Bramblestar replied, "I'd expect no less from you. You should go get some traveling herbs to keep your strength up during the fight." Fireheart said, "I'd rather not. But if Spottedleaf or Honeypaw says I have to, I will have no choice but to listen to them." Bramblestar purred in amusement and said, "True. Maybe I will tell them to tell you to take the herbs." Fireheart chuckled and said, "That's a dirty trick." Bramblestar looked behind Fireheart and chuckled as he said, "Looks like I won't have to tell them. Guess who's coming to talk to you?" Fireheart turned around and saw Spottedleaf and Honeypaw.

Fireheart asked, "What can I do for you two?" Honeypaw said, "You already know what we're gonna ask you to do." Fireheart said, "Yeah. Yeah I do. And I will do it." Spottedleaf purred lightly and said, "Good. Let me go get the traveling herbs ready so you're able to keep your strength up." Fireheart chuckled and said, "Alright. I suppose I should eat them tonight so they come into effect after I wake up. I gotta wake up early to get prepared." Honeypaw said, "Don't die." Fireheart laughed and said, "That is the plan." Honeypaw mewed, "Smartass." Fireheart replied, "I try." Honeypaw shook her head as Spottedleaf walked to the Medicine Den.

Spottedleaf padded out of the Medicine Den with a parcel in her mouth. Fireheart walked over to her and grabbed it out of her mouth gently, after he brushed her cheek with his nose like she did to him before. Spottedleaf blushed lightly and purred quietly as Fireheart grabbed the parcel. Fireheart said around the parcel in his mouth, "I appreciate it, Spottedleaf. And I promise to not die. I should go talk to all of the she-cats in my harem and tell them I love them and promise to not die." Spottedleaf giggled and said, "Use the mind channel that Honeypaw tells me you have." Fireheart purred and said, "That's a brilliant idea. But I want to give them all a kiss too."

Fireheart had told every she-cat in his harem he loved them and kissed them all. Fireheart looked up and saw it was sun-high. He carried the parcel of traveling herbs to his den and set them in it. He felt eyes on him and he looked behind him and caught Splashfur looking at him. She immediately looked away shyly with a blush. Fireheart chuckled and prepared himself for the fight to come.

That Night:

Fireheart ate the traveling herbs just as the sun set. He curled up in his den to rest. Fireheart's harem walked into his den and curled up with him. Fireheart watched Spottedleaf and Splashfur walk in after the rest of the she-cats. Spottedleaf and Splashfur asked if they could sleep with him as well. Fireheart replied, "Of course." Spottedleaf and Splashfur walked over and curled up next to Fireheart. Fireheart purred quietly and thought to himself, 'I wish Heathertail, Windstream, and Dovewing were here in the den with us. Everything would feel absolutely perfect. I understand why Windstream isn't here with us though. She is a nursing queen after all. And I fucked up things with Dovewing. And Heathertail still hasn't remembered me. Fuck. I need to quit thinking about these things, or I am gonna be up all night.' Fireheart closed his eyes and fell asleep.

The Next Day:

Fireheart woke up before the sun even came up. He got up carefully and stretched. He kissed Silverstream's, Lionstar's, Splashfur's, Spottedleaf's, Honeypaw's, Mistystar's, and Ivypool's head gently as he muttered, "I love you." To all of them. None of them woke up. Fireheart took a deep breath and walked out of his den. Fireheart walked into the Nursery and kissed Windstream's and Flowerkit's head gently as he muttered, "I love you." To both of them.

Bramblestar was outside the Leader's Den. Bramblestar walked over to Fireheart and said, "Go kick some ass, Firestar." Fireheart laughed quietly and said, "That is the plan. Not dying is also a pretty major part of the plan as well." Bramblestar chuckled and said, "You really are a smartass sometimes." Fireheart said over his shoulder as he walked out of the Thunderclan camp, "I try."

Fireheart walked towards Riverclan's territory and muttered, "Alright. Starclan, grant me the strength I need to do this." Fireheart called upon Stripestar, and Stripestar heeded his call. Fireheart felt his strength, agility, and intelligence in battle increase drastically. Stripestar took a solid form next to Fireheart as Fireheart walked towards Riverclan. Stripestar said, "This is going to be your first real battle since you've changed history, Firestar. Are you sure you're ready?" Fireheart replied, "I have to be ready. Be prepared to help out if I need it." Stripestar said, "Already two steps ahead of you." Fireheart chuckled and walked into Riverclan's territory.

Fireheart took his first position right where the army approaching should come from and thought up his entire battle plan in a matter of seconds, no matter what the enemy may be. Fireheart tasted the air and smelled a strong scent of cats. Fireheart chuckled and said, "I was right. Only cats this time. How many is the question? At least fifty if not more. Probably more. Next attack will probably be cats and dogs attacking Windclan. And then Cats, Dogs, and the other creature that joined the army to attack Shadowclan. And the last attack on Thunderclan will be all four creatures. It's time to truly become worthy of being the Leader of Lionclan. I will defend my clan with my life!"

The sun had begun to rise and Fireheart watched as an army of at least seventy-five cats approached him. Fireheart took a deep breath and roared a ferocious battle cry. The cats looked at him and he watched one of them approach him. The army stayed behind the cat. Fireheart asked as the cat got close, "Does this have to get violent?" The cat cackled and said, "You must be Fireheart. Tigerstar told us you'd be here to try and stop us. This is gonna end poorly for you. You will die here." Fireheart sighed and said, "I tried to be civil. And since you just told me that I am going to die, am I right to assume you're all going to try and kill me?" The cat cackled evilly and said, "We won't try to kill you. We will kill you." Fireheart chuckled and said, "I doubt it. But since you've told me that you all are going to try and kill me, that means I don't have to play nice. I am going to send each one of you bastards to the Place of No Stars."

Fireheart leapt at the cat. The cat dodged and yowled in a foreign tongue. The army ran at Fireheart. Fireheart chuckled and clawed one cat who approached him. The cat yowled in pain as blood splattered the ground. Fireheart immediately backed up and dodged three cats leaping at him. Fireheart looked around for something to use to his advantage and saw nothing. He hissed, "Guess we gotta do this the old-fashioned way!" Fireheart felt claws rake his pelt, and the wound healed in a flash of fire. The army looked at him in disbelief and Fireheart laughed as he said, "Guess Tigerstar forgot to tell you. I am a special kind of cat. I have powers beyond the comprehension of your feeble minds, granted to me by Starclan." The cat he talked to before yowled, "YOU MAY HAVE POWERS, BUT YOU CAN NOT FIGHT AN ENTIRE ARMY BY YOURSELF!" Fireheart laughed and ducked under another cat leaping at him. He took in their position and figured out they were trying to surround him as a tactic. Fireheart slashed one tabby battle-scarred cat's throat who had slashed his throat. Blood pooled from the fatal wound as the cat twitched and died. Fireheart immediately became nothing but a blur as he retreated a few feet before the army could surround him.

Fireheart chuckled and realized Guerrilla Tactics weren't gonna work. He muttered, "I have no choice but to start a free for all. Fuck. FUCK!" Fireheart ignited his pelt with white flames and fire surrounded his claws. The army looked at him in disbelief and Fireheart chuckled as he yelled, "FOR ALL EIGHT CLANS!" Fireheart booked it towards the army and slid under a cat that leapt at him. Fireheart cut deeply into the black and white tom's stomach deeply, blood pooled onto Fireheart's underbelly. Fireheart got jumped on by twelve cats. Fireheart yelled, "I REFUSE TO BE KILLED HERE! I MADE A GOD DAMN PROMISE! AND I NEVER BREAK A PROMISE! YOU FUCKS WILL NEVER TAKE EVEN A SINGLE LIFE FROM ME!" Fireheart stood up and planted his feet. The ground below him gave way and he leapt up. The cats who had jumped on him yelled in fear as they flew. Fireheart sprinted to the nearest enemy and used its head to jump up into the air. Fireheart jumped from cat to cat that was in the air. Fireheart got to the last cat he sent flying and dug his claws deep into the cat's flanks. The cat hissed in pain and blood began to splatter the ground below them. Fireheart hissed in the cat's ear, "I will send you back to Tigerstar next. Tell him I said he's a pathetic excuse for a Leader." Fireheart ripped the cat's throat out and blood sprayed all over Fireheart's body. Fireheart threw the cat he had just killed back at the ground. Blood rained down from the cat's torn out throat. The dead cat hit the ground harshly. Fireheart let his body spread out to slow his descent. The other cats he had sent flying had landed harshly and were dazed.

Fireheart approached the ground and landed harshly on a cat's back. Fireheart hissed in pain as he landed and he jumped off the cat's back. Fireheart said, "Two down. At least seventy-three to go. I like those odds. One vs. Seventy Three. I will even the playing field a little bit later." Fireheart ducked under a cat leaping at him. Fireheart shoulder charged an orange and white she-cat. She yelled in pain as her ribs broke from the force of Fireheart's shoulder. She was sent flying and landed harshly. Fireheart backflipped over an ugly tom who leapt at him from behind and he kicked the tom away as he said, "Not today bitch." Fireheart rolled to the right as a cat leapt at him. Fireheart saw several cats approaching him at once.

Fireheart took a deep breath and smirked as he became nothing but a fiery blur. He killed three cats swiftly. Fireheart reduced his speed and said, "Truth is, I could kill you all in a matter of seconds. But where's the honor and skill in that? Especially if I become an enemy you can't see because of how fast I actually am." A she-cat yowled, "I bet your mate hates that you're fast! I bet the longest you've lasted is ten seconds!" Fireheart replied as he dodged another enemy, "My mates would have to disagree with you on that. The shortest I've lasted was my first time mating. I think I lasted just over thirty minutes." The she-cat replied angrily, "Did you just say your Mates?! As in multiple?! Pathetic. You aren't loyal!" Fireheart jumped over another cat who leapt at him and said, "Not true. I am extremely loyal to all of my mates. Only Starclan knows how many mates I might have." Fireheart felt multiple sets of claws rake against his body. He hissed in pain as the wounds healed in a flash of fire.

Fireheart retreated twenty feet. The army raced at him and Fireheart taunted, "Come on! Is this the best you got? I could win this while sleeping! One cat is whooping all of your asses! I bet Tigerstar would be disappointed!" The army approached him and Fireheart leapt at the nearest cat and killed it swiftly. The rest of the army jumped on him. Fireheart hissed in pain at all the weight as he said, "God damn! Some of you weigh as much as a badger!" Fireheart was almost forced to the ground and he hissed, "Not today Satan. I am not yet ready to hunt with Starclan." Fireheart managed to stand up in the writhing pile of yowling cats because of his super strength and planted his feet. Fireheart roared loudly and leapt up. Only a few cats were sent flying, but Fireheart let them land. Fireheart took a deep breath and hissed, "I am better than this. I will do this. I must do this! It isn't a choice! It is a must!"

Fireheart landed behind the army and he muttered, "I might have to use it. No. That's a stupid idea. It could kill me! Only as a last resort!" Fireheart rushed towards the army who lost sight of him and snapped one cat's neck swiftly. He immediately leapt backwards as a cat spotted him. Fireheart's body was covered in injuries from the massive cat pile. He didn't force his body to heal in a flash of fire to keep some strength. Blood trailed behind him as he leapt at another cat and killed it. Fireheart yowled, "Only seventy left! You better call for reinforcements! BECAUSE I AM TAKING YOU ALL DOWN ONE BY FUCKING ONE! I AM READY TO TAKE YOU ALL ON!"

Fireheart dodged a feint and felt claws scrape his nose. He shook his head, stunned from the hit, blood flying. Fireheart backed up and growled as he slit the cat's throat who had hit him. Fireheart became a fiery blur as he raced at the nearest enemy. Fireheart leapt over the tom and used the next cat as a launch pad to send him back at the tom he leapt over. Fireheart tackled the tom to the ground and heard a cat leap at him from behind. Fireheart forced himself to roll with the tom he pinned and used the tom as a shield from the cat who leapt at him from behind. The tom yowled as his ally clawed him, "Wrong Cat dipshit!" Fireheart kicked the two cats off of him and rolled backwards to get to his paws. Fireheart took a quick breath and forced his body to heal his previous injuries in a flash of fire.

Fireheart readied himself for his next assault. Fireheart let his nerves calm and he raced to the nearest group of four cats. Fireheart felt claws rake his legs but he killed the four cats he was around swiftly. Fireheart hissed in pain, "Sixty-five left! Might wanna retreat, or you all are going to die here!" The army showed no signs of retreating and Fireheart sighed as he said, "I warned you. NOW STRIPESTAR!" Stripestar leapt out of Fireheart's soul and took a solid form. Stripestar asked, "My turn?" Fireheart chuckled and said, "No. Our turn. Let's thin the numbers a bit. Just like when Lionstar, you, and myself fought the dogs on the Journey to the Sun-Drown place. This amount is manageable for me, but I am getting bored awfully quick. None of them are skilled in battle. It's too easy. Sure, I have sustained injuries, but that is mainly from the sheer number of them. Tigerstar did a shit job of training his army." Stripestar laughed and said, "Let's fucking do it. Just like old times." Stripestar roared, "FOR FIRESTAR! FOR ALL EIGHT CLANS!"

Fireheart and Stripestar worked as a team to thin the numbers a bit. Fireheart knocked a cat towards Stripestar and Stripestar swiftly killed it. Stripestar killed four more on his own. Fireheart leapt at a cat trying to flank Stripestar and knocked it into a large rock, its back breaking immediately as the force from Fireheart's hit caused the rock to break. Fireheart padded over and put the cat out of its misery.

Stripestar yowled, "Behind you Fireheart!" Fireheart reacted too slowly and got knocked to the ground and pinned. Fireheart hissed as the she-cat that pinned him clawed his stomach deeply. Fireheart growled angrily and kicked the she-cat off of him, the she-cat yowling in agony as Fireheart's flaming pelt burned her. Fireheart got to his paws slowly and forced his body to heal in a flash of fire. The she-cat writhed on the ground in agony. Fireheart padded over and hissed, "Nice try. How's the flaming pelt feel? Next time we fight, don't be stupid. Fire fucking hurts. I will spare you the pain this time. Consider it your mercy kill. Everything I fight more than once gets one mercy kill. Depending how I feel next we meet, I may give you another one." The she-cat hissed in pain, "Burn in hell." Fireheart said sarcastically, "How original. I'm shaking in fear." Fireheart slashed her throat quickly two times to ensure the job was done. Fireheart leapt back into battle.

Stripestar and Fireheart killed half of the remaining cats, the battlefield covered in guts and blood. Thirty-nine cats remained alive. Half of the remaining cats retreated. Fireheart said to Stripestar, "I got the rest. I appreciate the help, Stripestar." Stripestar said, "Anytime. Always an honor to fight with you." Stripestar reentered Fireheart's soul after he left his solid form.

Fireheart looked at the remaining twenty cats and said, "So. Shall we do this honorably? Or are you going to try and take me on all at once? I am fine with either one." A cat yowled in a foreign tongue and the army sprinted towards Fireheart. Fireheart chuckled as he said, "Guess it's one vs. twenty. Let's fucking go. I'LL TAKE YOU ALL ON!" Fireheart roared with all his might, his powerful roar echoing through the forest and began to race towards the army, the fire on his pelt flickering in and out of existence as he was exhausted from healing so many of his own injuries with his power.

In Thunderclan:

Everyone in Thunderclan heard a roar echo through the forest. Riverclan and Thunderclan looked at one another and cheered. Spottedleaf sighed in relief as she heard the roar and said, "Seems like Fireheart's fine." Honeypaw mewed, "True. But I guarantee he's gonna come back covered in wounds." Mistystar said, "You're probably right Honeypaw. Fireheart has never had to fight so many foes at once. I am certain he's running on empty. But I don't think he will be back until night falls to make sure there are no stragglers." Lionstar mewed, "I don't think he'll let there be stragglers regardless. I am sure some of the enemies retreated after witnessing Fireheart's overwhelming power." Splashfur said, "I will still worry." Spottedleaf replied, "We all are going to worry until he comes back. Everyone in the Thunderclan camp will be relieved the instant they see Fireheart walk back into camp to announce his victory. Some of us will be more relieved than others will be." Honeypaw purred lightly and asked Spottedleaf quietly, "Gonna tell him your secret when he gets back?" Spottedleaf blushed and replied quietly, "Most likely. As long as he is able to stand on his own and not need immediate treatment."

Honeypaw said, "That's fair." Bramblestar chuckled as he heard yet another roar echo through the forest.

Back with Fireheart:

Fireheart dodged and weaved through the army. He hissed as claws bit into his sides. The fire from his pelt extinguished as it healed the injuries and Fireheart nearly collapsed from exhaustion. He dodged an attack tiredly. He roared as loud as he could, exhaustion forgotten as adrenaline flowed through his veins. Fireheart blocked a claw attack that was meant for his neck with his front legs. Fireheart was sent skidding back, but he remained on his paws. He gasped for breath. Sun-high was long and gone. Fireheart dodged two cats leaping at him and he killed one of them with a quick double slash across its throat. Blood flew onto Fireheart.

Fireheart watched the cat he just killed fall over and twitch as its eyes glazed over. Fireheart was knocked to the ground and pinned again. Fireheart hissed, "Not today you fuck." Fireheart kicked the cat off of him and got to his paws slowly. Fireheart's injuries had started to take their toll on him. Blood trailed behind him as he approached the remaining eighteen cats. Fireheart heard the tom he talked to before ask, "How the hell are you still standing?! What are you, Fireheart?!" Fireheart replied, "I am your worst nightmare. I can smell the fear-scent radiating from all of your bodies. Good. You should be afraid of me." Fireheart heard loud footsteps approaching. Fireheart's eyes went wide in disbelief as he recognized the cat before him.

Lily mewed, "Long time no see, Firepaw." Fireheart growled angrily and he hissed, "Why the fuck are you back?" Lily cackled and said, "Tigerstar offered me a shot at revenge. I couldn't pass it up. I am the reinforcements. Can you beat me again? How is that traitorous whore, Wind? She being passed around like the whore she is?" Fireheart's anger reached its limit. Fireheart felt something inside him snap. He hissed, "She was never a whore. I figured it out. You didn't care what happened to her regardless, because you loved Sly. But Windstream won his heart because she's a wonderful and phenomenally beautiful she-cat with an amazing personality. Sorry Honeypaw and Silverstream, but I can't control myself now. No one treats the she-cats I love with disrespect and gets away with it! NO ONE! This bitch has figured out one of the few ways to piss me off. Not good! FUCK IT! SHE'S GONNA DIE AS WELL AS THE REST OF THESE BASTARDS! IT'S TIME!"

Fireheart's body erupted in a pure white and gold aura as he began the chant, "I, who shall awaken, am the cat sent from Heaven to protect the forest and defeat the Cat of Domination." Fireheart's aura became bright gold as he continued, "I protect the weak, and give the forest hope!" Fireheart's eyes became pure white as he continued, "I shall become the Heavenly Cat of Hope!" Fireheart's pelt became pure white as he continued, "I shall bring you all from the depths of despair!" Fireheart's pelt ignited in white flames as he finished, "HEAVENLY CAT DRIVE!"

The remaining cats including Lily looked at Fireheart in disbelief. Fireheart hissed, "I need to use it because I can not do this without it. I am already on my last legs because of the ridiculous amount of injuries I sustained that healed in a flash of fire. Forgive me Honeypaw and Silverstream." Fireheart's body shook from the immense power flowing through him. He struggled to contain the power without it immediately exploding from his body. Fireheart hissed loudly and the power stabilized. Fireheart looked at the nineteen cats before him and mewed, "It's time for you to see my true power! HOPE YOU'VE SAID YOUR PRAYERS, NOT THAT IT MATTERS BECAUSE YOU'RE ALL GOING TO THE PLACE OF NO STARS!"

Fireheart leapt into battle, the cats unable to keep up with his extreme speed. Fireheart was nothing but a blur as he killed multiple cats before they could even react. Five cats fell down, twitching as blood sprayed from their necks. Fireheart lowered his speed and gracefully backflipped over a cat leaping at him. Fireheart landed and felt the toll of using the Heavenly Drive before being able to properly control it immediately. Fireheart growled, "Don't you dare. Not yet. At least last until it's just me and Lily." Fireheart struggled to keep the Heavenly Drive going and he felt it stabilize. Fireheart sighed in relief and became a blur as he killed the rest of the army, minus Lily.

As Fireheart killed the last cat besides Lily, the Heavenly Drive deactivated immediately. He fell to his stomach heavily, white hot pain flowing through his body because he used the Heavenly Drive before he was ready. Lily approached him. Fireheart weakly got to his paws, his body exploding in pain with each slight movement. Lily said, "We can still become mates, Firepaw. What do you say?" Fireheart growled, "No. You're not worthy of being my mate. I do not love you, nor will I ever love you. I will kill you yet again, even in my weakened state." Lily sighed and said, "I tried. This is where your story ends, Firepaw." Fireheart laughed weakly and replied, "My story will never end. I have learned from the past that I can't do everything alone. I refuse to put the ones I love and care about through the pain of losing me. Do you know why?" Lily replied curiously, "Tell me, before I kill you." Fireheart chuckled as strength flowed through his body as he roared loudly, "BECAUSE! MY NAME IS FIRESTAR! AND I AM THE LEADER OF LIONCLAN! I AM FIRE! AND FIRE WILL SAVE THE CLANS! I AM BASICALLY FIRESTAR, THE LATE AND GREATEST LEADER OF THUNDERCLAN, REBORN! IT'S TIME! STARCLAN, LEND ME YOUR STRENGTH!" Fireheart smirked and ignited his pelt into white flames.

Lily went to claw Fireheart's throat, but he dodged left swiftly and said, "Too slow." Fireheart blocked another claw with his front legs and was sent skidding backwards, blood slowly trickling down his front legs. Fireheart leapt into the air and landed on Lily's back. He clawed her back viciously, blood flying from each movement. Lily hissed in pain and tried to shake Fireheart off. Fireheart leapt off of her back and landed harshly. He ignored the pain and raced towards Lily. Lily ran towards him and hit Fireheart with the force of a bear. Fireheart growled in pain as he was sent flying backwards. Fireheart backflipped through the air and landed on his paws and immediately pelted towards Lily again. He slid under her and clawed her legs deeply. Lily growled in pain and turned around.

Fireheart became a blur as he took out one of Lily's legs. Lily yowled in pain as she fell to the ground. Fireheart pelted towards her and clawed her flanks deeply. Lily yowled in pain, and got to her paws shakily. Blood flowed down Lily's sides. Lily tried to crush Fireheart and he rolled out of the way. Fireheart leapt at her throat and clawed it. Lily hissed and clawed Fireheart's flanks deeply. He ignored the pain and let fire surround his claws. He clawed Lily's stomach deeply, the wounds immediately cauterizing from the heat of Fireheart's claws. Lily yowled in agony and Fireheart said, "It's time to end this. See you in the next battle, because somehow none of you bastards ever stay dead." Fireheart extinguished the flames surrounding his body and claws. He became nothing but a blur as he raced towards Lily. He leapt into the air and clawed Lily's neck deeply. Lily gurgled on her blood. Blood shot from the fatal blow, covering Fireheart's body. Fireheart watched as Lily's eyes glazed over and she fell to the ground. Fireheart watched her body vanish as she returned to the Place of No Stars and he fell to his stomach harshly. His vision blurred. Fireheart felt his eyes closing and he growled, "No. Not yet. I at least need to make it back to Thunderclan to tell them it's done." Fireheart forced himself to stand up, his body sending immense pain through it with every movement.

Fireheart tasted the air and didn't smell any cats. Fireheart walked back to Thunderclan slowly, large trails of blood trailing behind him as he walked. Stripestar left Fireheart's soul and took a solid form to help Fireheart walk. Stripestar scolded, "Using the Heavenly Drive was a reckless thing to do. I know you had no choice, but you could've called upon me instead of using it, dumbass." Fireheart laughed weakly and said, "I know. But she pissed me off by calling Windstream a whore. My anger reached its utmost limit. I snapped. I am sorry." Stripestar shook his head and said, "Learn to control your anger, or it will be your undoing." Fireheart nodded in understanding and stumbled. Stripestar caught him and said, "We should rest Fireheart. Night is coming." Fireheart replied weakly, "No. We need to get back to Thunderclan." Stripestar shook his head and said, "Fine. But I am not carrying you." Fireheart purred weakly in amusement.

In Thunderclan:

Both Riverclan and Thunderclan were sitting at the entrance to the Thunderclan hollow waiting for Fireheart as the quarter moon began to rise. Crowfeather yowled, "I SEE HIM! WE NEED A MEDICINE CAT STAT! IT ISN'T LOOKING GOOD! THAT'S A LOT OF BLOOD!" Mothwing, Willowshine, Jayfeather, Spottedleaf, and Honeypaw raced out of the Medicine Den at the sound of Crowfeather's yowl. Jayfeather scented the large group at the entrance and yowled, "GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY YOU IDIOTS!"

Fireheart heard Crowfeather's yowl. Stripestar reentered Fireheart's soul and Fireheart padded weakly, blood still pooling and trailing behind him. His pelt was covered in both his blood and the army's. Fireheart walked into Thunderclan's hollow and yowled weakly, "THE ARMY HAS BEEN DEFEATED FOR THE TIME BEING!" Fireheart's vision blurred. Fireheart began to collapse, the Heavenly Drive and his injuries taking their toll on his body. He was caught before he hit the ground.

Spottedleaf shot forwards. Honeypaw was unable to catch up and giggled as she watched Spottedleaf sprint. Honeypaw thought to herself, 'Way to make it obvious. Even with my improved speed because Fireheart and I are together, I can't keep up. Seems like the feeling is mutual, Spottedleaf.' Spottedleaf timed her jump and dove over the group huddled around the entrance to catch Fireheart before he hit the ground. She caught him in her outstretched paws before he hit the ground. They hit the ground harshly and Spottedleaf forced herself to take the brunt of the impact from the roll. Spottedleaf coughed in pain after they stopped rolling. Fireheart was on top of Spottedleaf and Spottedleaf sighed in relief as she heard Fireheart breathing.

Fireheart opened his eyes weakly and muttered, "S-Spottedleaf?" Spottedleaf mewed, "Yeah. It is me." Fireheart laughed weakly and groaned in pain as he said weakly, "Hell of a lot of impacts to take for a Tom like me. I told you that you wouldn't lose me." Fireheart's eyes closed and he passed out from exhaustion and his injuries. Spottedleaf said quietly, "I would not be able to handle losing you. Thank you. For keeping your promise, Fire."

Spottedleaf watched Lionblaze pad over. He looked at her knowingly and said, "Impressive. Good catch. Is he okay?" Spottedleaf replied honestly, "I do not know. But he needs to be brought to the Medicine Den immediately." Lionblaze nodded in understanding and picked his son up off of Spottedleaf. Spottedleaf got up and walked behind Lionblaze, looking at Fireheart's face, as they walked into the Medicine Den.

Not as long as I wanted it to be. I wanted it to be around 20k words, but I got it to around 14500 words. Still the longest chapter I have ever typed. ENJOY! And May Starclan watch over you all!
