It was a quiet night in the scarlet devil mansion, a rarity init of itself, but even more rare that the mistress of the mansion had left with her maid for the night. It was this this night Naruto had been waiting for. Tonight, he was going to find out who his parents were. Awaking from his sleep at midnight he quickly got out of his bedroom. Silently he met with the four uzumaki at the tp of the stairway that led down to the basement.

"So your here good. Ready to find out who your father is Runt-sama?" Natsu's cheerful voice whispered into his ear, making him jump. That was the affectionate nickname the four seasons of uzumaki gave to the future clan head. Runt to keep him humble, sama to show respect they all said. Shaking his head at the season Naruto walked shakily into the basement. The long stair way led into the first hurdle, the library. By this time Patchy and most of the fairies should be asleep, but that wasn't the problem. Her summons, a little devil, Koakuma was. As a summoned devil she didn't need to eat or sleep. She was always on guard duty, and had the habit of showing up at the worst times for Naruto and the others. They were never able to pull off a prank or get a dangerous magic book when she was on duty. She hid her intelligence with a goofy nature but the five knew it was there. As the five walked into the library each went threw the plans they had made to avoid the red headed summon.

"Well well well, getting some books to read this late at night?" The group froze as a smug voice was heard. Not even a quarter of the way threw the library and she caught them. "Hmmm or is this an other one of your attempts at a prank?"

"Actually, it was studying," Naruto bluffed with a straight face. " I heard Marisa talking about how when Reimu was my age she went to a place called Makai, and faced a powerful Demon named Shinki. I wanted to read up on the realm and the Demon."

"Ohhhh I see since Reimu is your teacher you want to measure yourself to her." The red head exclaimed while pounding her fist into her open palm.

The others nodded along "Yeah every time we ask about them we get told nothing."

Koakuma sighed "You all really shouldn't be comparing yourself to her and Marisa. They're the exceptions not the rule." She looked on as the five seemed unimpressed. "go sit down at a table, I'll bring you some books on Makai and Shinki-Sama. The five looked at each other and grinned as soon as the Demon flew into the labyrinthian shelves of the library, the five made one shadow clone of themselves and began to sneak further into the library.

"How are they doing so-far?" A stoic woman's voice asked.

"They knew to lie behind a different truth when I caught them. So pretty well I'd say," Koakuma grinned.

As the five clones of the ninja in training read about the demon realm and it's creator, the originals quietly rushed through the library hovering over the floor, but not higher than the shelves. Near the far side of the library was a relatively small area where Patchy would conduct experiments. In this area was the scrying bowl. Gently floating down to the ground Naruto and the others made their way to the bowl. The bowl itself was engraved with runes both inside and out. The bowl rested on a stand fused to the top of what seemed to be a square, hard wood coffin. the coffin itself had four latches on the right side and hinges on the left. Engraved on the coffin itself were more runes.

"This thing is nearly 7 feet tall. How are we going to reach it." Naruto frowned as he flew around the device, "it's my understanding we cant use any other spells or magic, even flying when we start. "

The four seasons chuckled. "This thing will match your hight once the preparations are made." Natsu explained with that he unfurled a scroll. "Unseal this once we unlock the doors."

The latches came off slowly each one making a soft click, one that seemed like a large boom to Naruto. If it weren't for the lack of an echo and the silencing seals he himself placed around the area earlier this week, Naruto would have been sure they would have been heard. When the last latch opened Naruto opened the scroll and a white plant monster with green hair came out.

"raaa im fr- gak" the plant zombie was stabbed through the chest and chains caught its arms and legs pulling him into the coffin. Naruto had seen one or two of these things before. These things attacked humans and yokai alike trying to absorb their chakra and life-force, had little intelligence, and were brought about by some evil corruptive man eating yokai plant. They saw nobody as allies other then each other and attacked everyone else. They were to be captured on sight usually to be disposed of. But could be used as substitute sacrifices for magic rituals. Flandre wanted to keep one as a pet, named it Paul. 'Paul' called her bratty and she killed it with a fireball to the head.

The coffin's runes glowed a bright green and hummed when it was done the coffin opened dropping the dead body out, now shriveled up. It looked disturbing. Naruto sealed the body in a new scroll. While Aki did an incantation in the background. The coffin widened in length and shortened in height creaking as it's design shifted. Now it was a wooden table with cabinets only as tall as Naruto's waist. "Ok Naruto we will make the scrying compound now so give us a minute."

"I thought you just used water…"

"Normally yes, but you don't know how to scry so we're going to make a compound that makes it easier to do the heavy lifting for you."

"Oh. Thanks, hehe." Naruto rubbed the back of his head.

"Now, were almost done." Fuyu said "get ready once this is in the bowl we will begin any questions before that?"

"yeah, why'd we have to use this bowl specifically? Not that I care about the zombies, but it's a tiny bit morbid." Naruto stared at the scrying bowl.

"Simply put? Because the barrier around this land. If we want to see your history, we need to look into konoha's past right?" Natsu poured the liquid mixture into the bowl. Well, the barrier around gensokyo makes it as if we are in a different time space then the outside world. So if we were to scry normally we would get stopped by the barrier. Getting nothing but black fog. This bowl can see into different time spaces at a cost.

Naruto nodded "That makes sense I guess." After a few incantations and a drop of Naruto's blood. The five kids dipped their heads into the bowl.

Water and minerals rushed past Naruto's head as he pushed himself deeper into the bowl. Through the bubbly faded green liquid he saw in a birds eye view a red headed woman lying on a table next to a blonde haired man. A doctor and a mid wife helped the redhead woman. Muffled voices were heard but Naruto couldn't make out what was being said, he pushed himself deeper and everything became clear.

"It hurts ya know!" Kushina screamed

"Is she alright?" The blonde asked. Naruto thought he was familiar but couldn't place it.

"your the fourth Hokage so act like it!" The mid wife said. Naruto was in shock his hero attended his birth but where was his father? Did his father die? Why was the most powerful man in the village, no the world, at his birth?

Naruto was pulled from his thoughts when a man in an orange mask came in and stole him while killing the nurses and mid wife. "get away from the Jinchuriki, don't you care what happens to your kid?" Naruto was thrown for a loop again. His hero was his father? THE fourth hokage was his father?

Minato namikaze grabbed Naruto as explosive tags sizzled! he flashed the child safely away from the Masked man. 'yeah lor- dad go save mom!' He mentally cheered as his hero laid him on a bed. And gasped as he saw the end of the man pulling the nine tails out of his mother. Minato grabbed Kushina before the man could use the beast could kill her.

Naruto watched as his mother talked with him and took care of him 'But where is Minato now? Is he fighting that masked man?' The water around him rippled and he saw his mother with chains coming out of her back holding the ninetails down. She was going to seal the beast inside her? What did she mean again? He saw his father rip the nine tails in half by summoning the reaper death and how the beast skewered his parents on his claw "no." Naruto whispered.

His listened as his parents said their last words he could not stop the tears from falling. "He believed in me, they they died." He sputtered out.

"I will take full responsibility" he heard a voice that sounded like his Jiji, he wiped the tears away from his eyes to see his mother die, and the third hokage standing over her.

He couldn't hold it back anymore he started screaming and crying as the scene bubbled up and he was pulled back out of the scrying bowl. The four seasons of Uzumaki backed up as a red energy poured out of his body. "AHHHHHHHHHHHH."

The young child's tears fell as his father's body guards came running over to him. "Naruto! What happened?"

"WAAAAHHHHH!"

we scried his birth. He saw the fourth -his father- die sealing the nine tails in him." One of the Uzumaki explained "The fourth fought this masked man. "he called him Madara."

"AHHHHH!" Naruto cried as a massive bust of energy threw everyone back.

"we need to contain the fox"! Genma yelled as the red energy became a formless cloak on the blonde uzumaki

"I can help with that." A woman's voice was heard

Before anyone could react a gap opened up and Yukari, along with Remilia Scarlet
came through. Frowning at the state of her pupil she shook her head. "Poor boy." She walked forward unbothered by the energy unleashed by the Ninetails.

Naruto was sobbing and crying his vision blurred by tears, sadness and rage. He wanted his mother, he wanted his father, he wanted to be alone but also to be held. He saw a purple figure come at him but he couldn't tell what it was he pushed his hand out and a force of energy came out with it. The figure simply held out a white gloved hand and it the energy moved around it.

Yukari reached the boy as he recoiled screaming and crying "shhhhh shhhh no, no it's me Naruto. It Yukari- sama" she poked the boys forehead and he calmed down. The Kyuubi's chakra was still cloaking him as she calmed the boy. Unzipping his orange coat she lifted his shirt and placed her hand on his seal, the fox's chakra receding before she could touch it.

inside a dark dank metallic hole not unlike a sewer, Kurama slowly recalled his chakra. "you're afraid. good." A blonde haired woman stood before him "This boy is under my protection. Make no mistake he will not be harmed by threats under my watch, internal or external." She moved forward and tapped the seal purple energy flowed through the gates as the bars became studded and much thicker. Chains then latched onto the beast's legs. " take this gift of as a reminder of that, Kurama. Yes I know who you are and I know the sage would be hurt in how you treated an innocent boy, and his mother before him. Behave and I might do something nice for you. Don't and I will take all your chakra and give it to the child, permanently." Kurama didn't doubt she could. Outside the seal Naruto slept in Yukari's arms as she walked to his room. "It's been a late night for all of us, lets get to bed."
