Our antihero is a little expressive these days. I'll take full responsibility for that. I write out his "visions" that he sends me on paper as a draft. With work, life, NFL and College football to watch, Star Wars Ashoka, Loki season 2…
I guess I am just saying I have not been as productive as I could be.
Plus, I wrote out his first vision as a 13-page draft but felt it could do with a bit of… refinement.

Antihero Monologue Interruption:
Good thing your planet is not in my protection zone.
Your internet's firewalls suck.
Wait... Refinement?
WTF!
Also, dude! You actually write things down?
I know the level of tech you have. Writing things out... That is just… the stone age.
Stop hiding my greatness!
Do your job and type out what I sent you in your damn dreams!
I can only stop time for so long, you know? Get on with chapter 9 already!

Author:
Well this is new. And no, I do not know. Can you explain?

Antihero:
How Time Works 101.
1 nanosecond is 1 billionth of a second.
Flip that… 1 billion nanoseconds exist in just one second.

1 minute = 60 billion nanoseconds.
1 hour = 3.6 trillion nanoseconds.
3 hours = 10.8 trillion nanoseconds.
I have been talking to my team now for three hours because you are so slow getting chapter 9 underway.
There are only so many nanoseconds left! Zar and I have been busy making plans and shit.

Author:
I … What?
Great. Thanks for that meaningless tutorial on time.
What difference does it take how long I take to write your visions out?
Your time and my time are not connected at all. Stop being an ass to those who read our work. It is free and all, but that is no reason for you to call them names.

Antihero:
I can see this is going nowhere. You lack any relevant education on time travel.
Your point for calling me an ass is? I mean... how observant of you.

Author:
According to Urban Dictionary "fuckface" is defined as "a person who, eloquently speaking, is such a complete and utterly disgrace to mankind."

Antihero:
Ya, so? Keep reading your googles.

Author:
Otherwise, if he is a friend, this is a compliment.
Context man!
I know you are indestructible and all, but the shit you say hurts! Not everyone is as... strong as you.

Antihero:
Oh cry me a river. Get back to work before I erase your credit score!

Time speeds back up…

"You guys don't have any more questions?" I asked patiently looking from face to face. Three hours had indeed passed since we started talking. I was cool with it. Zar and I had got so much done in that time.

Banks, Kane, and Scar shook their heads but looked at Zane. She had taken the news harder than they did. Zane was silent, though she worked her jaw about as if she was about to say something or just break down.

I reached into the inventory and pulled out a toothpick and sunglasses. "Here. These will help you cope."

Zane's expression softened and a small smile creased her face. "Thanks boss." When she put the toothpick between her teeth and then put the shades on, her face became a mask. "I'm ready."

Kane laughed. "What is this new quest all about? Who is AnotherVaderFan and why do you have to apologize to him for threatening to erase his credit?" He asked.

Antihero Monologue Engaged.
"Zar?" I asked trying to keep my cool.

Her face appeared in the corner of my HUD. If her eyes were lasers, I would be a crispy critter.

I winced. "Ok. Ok. I get it you are pissed." I sighed and closed my eyes. "I updated chapter 1, and I am sorry AnotherVaderFan. I will not erase your credit."

Zar rolled her eyes. "Be nice. No one likes bullies."

Time speeds back up…

Kane frowned as the quest log updated.
"That was… quick. What NanoTech devices did you get as a reward for…" he laughed "…being a good little boy?" He laughed again with the others.

I looked at Zar who just gave me the look.
"See no one likes a bully." She rolled her eyes again.
"Once you all put the NanoTech devices on, they will sync with me. They serve multiple purposes but mainly they will keep you alive and shield you from Voggaa's mind control." She added, four devices appeared before the group.

My jaw dropped when they quickly picked up the devices and I realized that I did not have one. "Zar, I apologized to him. You said no one likes a bully." I pointed out.

The team snickered as a larger device appeared before me.

"Hey! Not fair. His is bigger than mine." Scar mock pouted. "Come on boss, pick it up. We are waiting for you to sync."

I grinned and shook my head. "The things I go through." Then I picked it up and a new icon appeared.

"Sync complete. You can now automatically learn anything you wonder about." Zar smiled.

"What do you…" I paused as the information updated in my mind. "Damn woman. You are way too good for me."

"I know." Zar smiled.

"Oh god!" Zane gasped, covering her face with embarrassment. "Scar and I really do get together in each MultiVerse."

"I just learned the entire history of this Star Wars AU, at least up to 2 days ago. WTH! Earth was moved here by the Celestials? She is one of the 14 superpowers in this galaxy? Also, one of the locations that Voggaa clones are stationed on?" Kane shook his head.

"Never mind all that. Check out what these things can do!" Banks double tapped his device, nanobots instantly covered him from head to toe with light absorbing dark armor. "It's just like an Iron Man suit!" he said rising off the floor with the silent avionics.

The others quickly joined Banks and rose into the air as I tapped the table and stored the Mobile Command Center. "You guys review the plan yet?" I asked joining them as a host of completed quest alerts went off.

"This is going to be fun." Kane said as we rose into the sky going full stealth mode. "I really had no idea you were so OP boss."

"Please, Zar is the real power here." I winked at her image on my HUD. "With out her I would be fumbling my way through this."

"We have movement at the Black Castle. Voggaa clone 1147 must have detected something, because he and all the Governor's Guard just went into flight." Zar reported.

A radar appeared on our HUD showing the planetary map and locations of the Death Watch Mando's. A timer appeared showing the countdown for Jango to arrive in twenty minutes, then a second for the Republic Task Force an hour later.

"They are going for the Rebel Camp." I observed after watching the enemy force move. "Voggaa must be planning on taking over Jango, then Dooku."

"Shit." Kane grunted. "That changes your plan quite a bit boss."

"No worries. I vote we go with Prisoner Protocol One." There was a momentary pause as they accessed it and then Zane gasped. "Are we in agreement?" I asked.

"This auto learn feature is so cool!" Scar commented.

"Boss, why me?" Zane asked. "I can't find that answer."

"Sometimes the best balm is just action. This way we evaluate out some of our suit's functions and you get a little me time." I smiled.

"I'm game. These suits should be able to tank anything they can throw at us. Even if the Voggaa clone enhanced the Mando blasters with Eternal Tech. Thanks for making these suits by the way Zar." Banks spoke up.

"Ditto." Kane added.

"Ya thanks!" Scar agreed. "But why do we have to take the hits?"

"Less chatter. Good luck Zane. Boys, de-stealth and follow me." I dropped my stealth mode and let Voggaa's minions spot me. The guys followed suit as Zane continued going invisible. We reached a location next to a creek a short distance from the camp and set up waiting.

"We should call it cloak boss. Stealth sounds so… not cool." Kane spoke up as we watched the dark specks on the horizon. They were rapidly approaching. "Is it really just going to feel like getting punched?" he asked his voice wavering a little as all the Death Watch Mando's now started to converge on us from every other location on the planet.

"That's what my AI keeps telling me." Scar agreed. "I so want to go to the Harry Potter AU. Can we do that next boss?"

"Focus guys. You have not been this chatty since… well ever." I pointed out. "Here they come!"

Rapid fire blasts hit us and around us. The continuous stream that I had encountered before, but now The NanoTech armor absorbed blast after blast protecting us just fine. The guys grunted, feeling each impact. I watched their indicators for any damage and was pleased that the suit's internal systems instantly started healing any bruises and soothing any pains they had.

The fire intensified as more and more Mando's added their firepower to the mix. The three of them dropped down and I stood over them, shielding what I could with my body as I flattened myself out. "Zar, initiate scrambler." I ordered.

Zar responded right away, what we now called the Voggaa Node Network here on the planet just stopped working. The static in their ears must have been distracting because the firepower raining down on me slowed a little. The VNN was the dark side version of the Eternal Node Network.

A little backstory as I continued tanking hits. What else could I do but think at a moment like this?

The Banished One's sneaky opening move to this MultiVersal war was entirely based on me shutting down the ENN, thus giving the VNN full control of Utopia and all of its resources. That is why the Voggaa clone #1 was so shocked when I did not choose the quick and easy path as Vader did. Kidding. Seeing who's awake there.

By severing and then restoring the Explorer 17c's crew and AI Programs to the Network, I had created an imbalance. The very imbalance that his master had foreseen. Voggaa #1 could only control 12 minds, as such there were only 12 identical minds in the entire Network. Hence the Awakening that L-1 mentioned. Only seconds after Voggaa #1 was executed, the Eternal Council had started a process of severing and restoring entire sections of the Civilization, making sure it was impossible to replicate that flaw.

The VNN was also how my team had effortlessly gone through time and assassinated millions of the OG Eternals. Part of the Eternal Civilizations career path was to serve in the Explorer Program. Because of this, the entire population had been vulnerable when deployed into a Universe's timeline.

From the Eternal's perspective, the near genocide was rapid and unavoidable. From my team's perspective it was a massive undertaking that took the rest of their natural lives. Each assassination averaged only 42 seconds on mission. When spread over 200 million targets that was roughly 66.5 years per member. Time and time travel was such a fickle thing depending on the perspective.

Speaking of time. Standing there tanking shots and shielding my boys from harm, I appeared to have plenty. I replayed the events from Zane's point of view. Voggaa clone 1147's death was quick and clean. Zane flew through him in a supersonic dive at the onset of her attack. The human 1147 was masquerading as vanishing in a puff of blue ooze that rained to the ground. The 12 puppets that 1147 had been controlling were momentarily shocked, right up to the point when Zane knocked them out.

Using the suits silent avionics and cloak (as Scar wishes it to be called) Zane quickly stunned then imprisoned Mando after Mando. One hand of her suit delivering the shock, the other hand tapping on the NanoTech Prison Device. These devices were ironically created using the Mando's own firepower. The armor absorbed the energy of the attack and instantly converted it into resources. One such resource Zane was using to lock up the Death Watch. Each NTPD was a basic version of our suits, lacking any ability for the Mando inside to control it. Zar though had full control and brought them to a safe landing.

The delivery could be easier I decided, I set my self a reminder to devise a better delivery system that could stun and administer the NTPD all in one go. Zar catalogued this request and produced it in an instant. With that Zane was able to shoot her way through the rest more efficiently.

The rapid blasts hitting my thin shield like form slowed, then eventually stopped. I reverted back to my normal self and checked the inventory. "Zar my love. It worked." I winked at her image.

"Of course, the plan was foolproof. We just need to make sure that the Devices remain out of the oppositions hands." Zar responded in her distracted tone. "Our Node scrambler was successful in that regard. There are only 56 remaining Death Watch members on the planet. I highly recommend we get to them before Jango arrives."

"Agreed. Zar and Zane, hell of a job." I nodded to her as she landed next to me. I looked down and patted Banks on his helmet. "Alright then?" I asked as he rolled out of his prone position.

"Boss, you have to try this massage setting. It's simply amazing." Banks whispered.
