Chapter 4
(Hunter X Hunter)

The young child was staring at Fujimaru Ritsuka from a distance. He was hiding in the trees, making use of Zetsu to hide. However, that would be meaningless to whoever he was observing because he has no clue as to what Nen is.
As for Fujimaru, he was separated from Mash. They Rayshifted in at different locations, as if whoever made this singularity wanted to separate them. Prior to the Rayshift, the only information that they received was that there was a strange singularity going on as it seems to shift locations every few hours at random intervals. Currently, Fujimaru determined that they were in a modern city and got lost when he got attacked by these ant-like creatures.
They possessed humanoid traits, yet also those of different animals. However, the commonality between them was that they all have some resemblance to an ant in one way or another. Be it behavior, a physical remnant of their evolution, or just natural instinct, they all shared that similarity.
Fujimaru was able to handle a few of them and stave them off with spells and a few summoned Servants, but even they would fade quickly. Essentially, right now, he was on the run and looking for an ally.
He runs through the city and notices a sign.
'WELCOME TO YORKNEW CITY'
'Yorknew…? Is that a place in North America? No, I don't think so… In fact, I think the place is supposed to be called New York, the same place where King Gilgamesh held his tournament… is this place somewhere else?' Fujimaru struggles to get the information into his head before he senses a presence right behind him.
He tilts his head in the nick of time as a claw narrowly misses his head. The speeding figure is now in front of him.
He has the colors and speed of a cheetah yet his humanoid shape makes him unidentifiable as a creature. He has a total of four fingers but notes that there are three claws at the end of each of them. He also has purple hair, but he doesn't know if that's relevant or if it's just meant to throw him off guard.
"Oh. You managed to dodge that? That's amazing you know?" The cheetah figure says with a smile. He crouches into position as Fujimaru begins to stay on the defensive.
'I should cast a defensive spell before he tries to do anything.'
The cheetah figure's smile becomes mad. "Well now, LET'S SEE YOU DODGE THIS!"
A burst of speed. Fujimaru barely registers the attack. The cheetah went straight for his throat. He sees the movement in slow motion. With a burst of prana, he manages to leap back.
The figure whistles in awe. "Wow! You're great! Nobody's ever been able to keep up with my speed before!"
Fujimaru sweats. 'I can't cast emergency evade for a bit now… Damnit…'
"The other Hunters couldn't keep up with my speed. But you can, and you don't even have any Nen to boot! This is amazing!" The cheetah gets into crouching position, similar to that of an Olympic runner. "I'm going to have you entertain me now!"
Fujimaru cringes at the thought. He notices a building in the corner of his eye.
The cheetah bursts, but at the same time, Fujimaru already rolled over and is running to the entrance of a building. 'I can't beat that thing, but in a closed space, it should be harder for him to come after me there.'
The cheetah was fast. Dangerously so. However, if it was fast, that wouldn't mean much in an enclosed space. Especially inside a building.
But there is a catch. Fujimaru knows that this beast is fast, but he does not know how strong it is. If he were to misjudge its strength, then it could mean the end for Ritsuka.
He had two spells left. One for healing and one for strengthening. However, he mainly uses them on Servants. If he were to use it on himself, it wouldn't be as powerful since he was only human, however the effects were still there.
He had no choice right now but to gamble it on this. He had to hope that his last two spells were enough to defeat the opponent chasing him.
The cheetah stares as his prey walks in a building. He chuckles happily. "You know that won't do you any good! I'll still catch up to you!" Moments of silence pass. "Tch. Well, time to go back into the hunt I guess."
"Stop, Cheetu."
The now identified Cheetu turns to notice two others approaching him. One looks like a lion and the other looks like a dragonfly. Cheetu sighs. "Orders from the King?"
"Nah. We just ain't gonna let you hunt on your own. Let us have some fun as well." The lion says with a mad smile.
The dragonfly sighs. "Yeah. Normally I would send in my Dragon Flies to help scout ahead, but I'm being called back by the king myself. So, you two have your fun." With that, the Dragonfly summons his wings and flies away.
The lion spits as he leaves. "The damn king is brutal. Working us all like slaves right now."
Cheetu laughs. "At least we get to hunt now. So how do we do this thing?"
The lion pulls out an MP3 player and chuckles. "Well, I got myself a new album. Time to test it out."

Fujimaru runs upstairs. He doesn't count how many floors it has been since he's ran up. He was just grateful the cheetah didn't follow him in yet. Hell, it probably didn't register when he ran in that this building was a damn skyscraper.
But his advantage could disappear any given moment.
How would the cheetah hunt exactly? Would it go from the top to bottom, bottom to top, or just go on any random floor as a whimsy? It may have established cheetah like activities and abilities as well as human behavior, but there is something else in there. Something more primal, more instinct like.
Fujimaru can't help but think it was like he had shrunken and he was looking at a monstrous ant.
He sighs as he stops near the exit on one of the stairs.
30 floors.
He ran 30 floors worth of stairs up.
'Screw it. I'm getting off here!' He pushes the door and runs through, hoping to find a spot that will hide him or help him enact his plan.
He goes down a hallway and runs through it. Door after door, he passes through them all. Then out of instinct, he turns and slams into one, opening it.
He sees that nobody is inside. It's a mail room that's full of cabinets and a table at the center. Space is limited thanks to all the furniture. This room is perfect.
About a minute passes by before Ritsuka comes up with an idea. He may not have Mash's shield and he has never done this without the support of Chaldea, but it should be possible to achieve his objective in the limited time he has.
Ritsuka tightens his fist. His gaze is on the table as he has the idea to draw upon it a magic circle. He has no idea what kind of Servant will pop up, but he needed one fast and now.
He rushes towards the cabinet and brings out a marker. From what he knows, so long as there is a magic circle and prana is pushed towards it, he can summon a Servant. He has no catalyst so he has absolutely no idea who he'll summon. Most likely it'll be somebody connected to this land.
He steps back and extends his right arm forward, his command seals glow bright red. He supports that arm with his left and begins to chant.
"Shut, fill, shut, fill."
The circle glows.

Cheetu ran up the stairs with Leol. Both were Chimera Ants that feasted on apex predators, so speed was no issue for them.
However, there was no contest on who was faster. Cheetu had the privilege of checking the entire floor by the time Leol even reached one, signalling that there is nobody there before moving to the next.
This proved to be unneeded as by the time they reached the twentieth floor, a large spike of energy was felt by both of them ten floors above them. They couldn't tell exactly where, but they knew what floor he was in already.
Leol and Cheetu stared at each other.
Cheetu smiled.
Leol chuckled as he tilted is head, signalling that it was time to play with their prey.
Cheetu ran up the stairs and kicked down the door. He could feel the energy nearby.
He wasn't trying to hide. He was giving himself away.
The thought of it being a trap didn't even register to Cheetu. He understood that there were no more tricks up the human's sleeves. He had no other option than this.
He slowly crept through, savoring the moment and just imagining the fear on the face of the human as he ravished his insides and devoured his guts.
He stopped by the door. The energy was strongest here.
Cheetu smiles as he opens the door. His hand is on the knob.
He opens it in time to hear the incantation.
"COME FORTH, GUARDIAN OF THE SCALES!"
An explosion of light, a burst of energy sends Cheetu flying back.
He grits his teeth as he looks down. He began to feel annoyed.
It wasn't the fact that a surprise attack got him, if anything he would be impressed.
No, it was something else.
Another presence entered the field.
A young boy, donned in green with green, spiky hair, green shorts, green shoes and brown eyes. He had a backpack and a fishing rod as his weapon. He was smiling like there was nothing wrong in the world.
For a second at least.
He begins to pout.
"Whaaat? I thought I'd get to be Caster at least… maybe it's because I'm not smart enough? I don't get why that's my class though, I'm not crazy."
Ritsuka sighs as he falls to his knees. He summoned a Servant. Now he'll have to wait for Mash so the Servant can reach his true potential, but right now he needed the help he could get.
The boy turns over to Ritsuka. They both felt the connection to each other. The boy smiles. "Servant, Berserker! True name is Gon Freeces. Nice to meet you Master!"
Ritsuka looks up at the boy. The boy glances back as Ritsuka asks him, "Please, lend me your strength."
Gon looks at him and smiles. "Gotcha!"
Cheetu gets up and rushes down on Ritsuka. Just because a new player is on the field doesn't mean he should change his ta-
"First comes the rock, paper…"
Cheetu is about a few steps away from Ritsuka when he glances to his right. The child is directly beside him, holding his fist tightly as Nen glows from his fist. The amount of aura in that fist alone could take down Leol, even if it hit him indirectly.
Cheetu wouldn't be able to dodge that. He wouldn't be able to flee.
He saw death in the form of a child.
"FIST!"
It was sudden. Cheetu was smashed in directly in the gut. He was then launched. Like a cannon, he was sent flying through several brick walls. He was no longer in the same building, let alone the same block of them.
The last thought on Cheetu's mind was a message sent directly to another leader, who could hopefully send this message to the King.
A new player has entered this game.
.

.
Leol only saw his ally flying. That was enough for him to back up and consider his approach.
He began going through his album.
He could use that smoke guy's ability. But that was good for fooling people for a short amount of time he estimates. If what he saw was anything, fooling them would do nothing.
He could use the portals and trap them, but if he were to die in those rooms, would he leave them there or would they leave? He has heard of leftover Nen cursing people, and perhaps this would be a solid strategy. However, he did not use this ability enough to understand the specifics. What if there's a way out of the room? No, he shouldn't risk it.
Oh! How about that bomber's ability? If he can land it on them, it would… no that's worse than the previous two.
Leol keeps on scrolling, then he feels something. At the back of his neck.
He wants to turn, but his vision changes from looking at the door to looking at his own body. He looks at his posture as he still looks like he's still picking his album.
He looks over and notices a child. No older than thirteen, with fingers sharper than swords and each finger emitting some sort of electricity.
Damn, that was disappointing. He was done in a little too easily. He couldn't even use his other songs…
The child looks over as Leol breathes his last. He looks towards the newfound chaos before he lets out a hearty and honest chuckle in what feels like it's been years.
"So, you've been summoned too, Gon? Looks like we'll back each other up again."
So, Killua, the Assassin class Servant walks over to join his old friend.

Had a lengthy idea about this one, gave up halfway through and rushed it.
Sorry if you can feel the rush. FF16 and SF6 have been taking up my time.
Thank you for your time!
