Chapter 4: Arrival in Fortree City
Brendan and Shelly arrived in Fortree City the next day.
"No wonder they call it Fortree City." Shelly said, seeing all the treehouses.
"Yeah, and it looks like a festival's in town." Brendan said, acknowledging all the booths and attractions around town.
"I'll bet the Gym Leader's also helping out with the festival." Shelly said as they walked around. Just then, they saw a Skarmory flying overhead, with a woman in what appeared to be a pilot suit and a child riding on its back.
"That must be her, no doubt." Brendan said before he followed the Skarmory. Shelly followed him, looking around at the festival.
They soon saw a crowd of children gathered around the woman and her Skarmory.
"Who's next?" she asked.
A little girl raised her hand, "Me please, Winona!" she said.
Brendan walked up to her, "Excuse me, Miss. Are you the Fortree Gym Leader?" he asked.
"Yes I am. I'm Winona." she said.
"I'm Brendan from Littleroot Town. I'd like to challenge you." Brendan said.
"I see. Well, I accept your challenge. But, I'm currently helping out with the festival. You don't mind waiting, do you, Brendan?" Winona asked.
"Not at all." Brendan said.
"Then, I will see you in three days." Winona said.
"Well, in that case, Shelly, how about me and you enjoy the festival?" Brendan asked.
"Why not?" Shelly asked.
