Donna is sitting in her house with Caterina, Hope has dropped Beth off as usual, and then the new "trial" babysitter arrived not long after.

Donna is both intrigued with Caterina - given she is Marius's little sister, and watchful, she needs to make sure that Beth will be protected and well nurtured by the young woman. So far, she has proved to be wonderful with Beth, the two of them were like two peas in a pod, they even looked the same, something that took Donna by complete surprise.

Whereas Marius was dark haired and dark eyed, his younger sister was a very pretty blue eyed blonde. Donna couldn't help herself, she was dying to ask about Marius, since Eric had left she had found herself thinking about him more and more so she used their differences as an opening.
"I must say you're doing wonderful with Beth, Caterina" she said smiling.
Caterina looked up and her, a genuine smile spreading across her pretty face.
"Beth is a wonderful little girl, and I agree, we seem to be getting on famously: don't you agree Belle" she says looking at Beth.
Donna frowns at the use of the name. "A term of endearment, it means beautiful in Italian, and please, call me Cat." says Cat quickly.
Beth looks up and grins at Donna, "Cat is teaching me some new words, like Belle, Belsimso . . ." she looks up at Cat frowning.
"Bellissimo" she corrects the young child with a smile.
Beth nods enthusiastically, "I'm gonna surprise mummy when I get home and say Ciao too."
Donna raises her eyebrows, "That's wonderful Beth, you're very clever. I think your mummy will be very surprised!"
Beth nods and goes back to the puzzle she and Cat have been working on.
"So, I don't mean to be nosey, but I couldn't help but notice how different you are from Marius," she says casually.
Cat smiles engagingly and walks over to sit near Donna. "That's okay," she says as she takes a seat. "Marius and Antonio, have different mothers, their mother was our fathers first wife, she died when my brothers were eleven, our father married my mother Lucille Agarz a while later, she was a model in France, all blue eyed and big hair, the total opposite of his first wife . . . I wonder about that sometimes. Father didn't really want any other children so when I came along it was a bit of a surprise. Unfortunately, my mother died in a boating accident not long after I was born and father never remarried."

She frowned in thought for a moment before adding, "I always thought he never got over the death of Angelica - his first wife, he still has a large portrait of her in the main living room and in his bedroom, I used to see him staring at it sometimes, with this sad look on his face." She shakes herself out of her musings, aware she has just overshared a little too much.
Donna, who is oblivious to what Cat is feeling, is about to casually ask how Marius is doing when her phone rings, she quickly answers it and is surprised to hear Marius on the other end.
"Marius," says Donna, as a blush creeps up her cheeks. "It's lovely to hear from you, I just wondering how you are.
Cat listens attentively as Marius answers Donna before getting to the reason he called, he quickly invites her out to lunch.
Donna is torn, on one hand she knows she has a job to do in minding Beth and evaluating Cat for Hope, but on the other hand her heart is hammering in her chest at the mere thought of going out with Marius, she -rather reluctantly - asks for a raincheck, explaining that both her and his sister are minding Beth for the day. Donna is delighted when Marius comes up with a compromise, he'll says he can bring some Pizza over for all of them.

Beth, overhearing the offer begs Donna to say yes, and laughingly she agrees, as she hangs up she notices Cat looking at her in an appraising kind of way. She smiles at the younger woman and explains that she and Marius had met at Pams wedding, and that he'd gallantly offered to drive her home after her fall.
Cat grins at her knowingly, "And the fact that you just happen to be an extremely beautiful woman wouldn't have anything to do with it?"
Donna blushes scarlet, "Oh, I'm much too old for someone like your brother," she says meekly as she watches Cat for any kind of reaction to her words.
Cat raises an eyebrow in amusement, "Donna, my brother has never had any care for race, color, religion, weight, or -as you so delicately put it - older woman! My brother loves woman, all woman, in any shape, color, or age! He's an incorrigible flirt, and will happily sweep you off your feet, and when the fires of passion burn low and you both decide it's time to move on, he will be your best friend. The bad news, he's never given his heart fully to anyone, I don't know why because he's a wonderful, kind, talented and generous man."
She shrugs ruefully, "and I've gone and told you far more than I ever intended! I think you are way too easy to talk to!"
Donna laughs in delight, "Thank you, I think!"
They both turn as the doorbell rings. "Well, I guess the man in question has arrived."
"That was quick?" says Donna in surprise.
She opens the door to find Marius standing there with several boxes in his hands.
"I confess, I was at Deacons when I rang you, as this order had just been filled I bought it and paid Deacon to remake the customers order," he says with a grin.
Donna stares at the Pizza boxes he's carrying. "You have enough to feed an army!"
"Yummy" screams Beth jumping up and running over to Marius.
"Unfortunately, I have no idea what varieties they are, so it's a bit of pot luck I'm afraid!" says Marius sheepishly to Beth.
Beth grabs Marius by the hand and leads him forward. "That's okay, I like them all!" she says in delight.
Marius laughs, "Ahh, I am so happy to hear that, it gladdens my heart young lady."
Donna smiles, this is going to be an interesting afternoon, and she couldn't wait for it to start.
