Also some avid old hollyoaks fans might recognise certain conversations from a couple of the chapter's that were actually in the show. I've tried to work them in so they fit into my story so they're not word for word but there will be more to come (some iconic lines and speeches!)
Chapter 7 was turning into an extremely long chapter so i've split it into two smaller ones so i can get it out quicker.
Chapter 7
There were several things that annoyed Brendan Brady about his sister, Cheryl. Her incessant meddling in his life, love life or otherwise, her eternal optimism which bordered on extreme naivety, her deluded adoration of their father, but most of all it was her abysmal taste in men. The list was endless, we had Eoghan - Lyndey's bisexual brother who had followed Brendan around like a love sick puppy and engaged in more than a few roll's in the hay with him before his ridiculous dalliance with Chez. Gilly, who not only dumped her for her best mate but then turned out to be a rapist. Malachy, Cheryl had been obsessed with him since primary school despite the fact he never looked twice at her in that way, preferring to date the likes of Mercedes McQueen or Chez's other best mate Lyndsey. Then there was Warren, who'd only been going out with her to get his mitts onto the club and had been carrying on behind her back with Mitzeee, and here they were again, with Cheryl fawning over Walker. Brendan had been reluctant at first to divulge how he knew Walker but once he saw the tell tale signs of Cheryl's crush he sang like a canary in the hopes Walker's shady past would deter her advances. Unfortunately it had no such effect, it potentially had even added to the appeal, which was ironic given her distaste for the dodgy side of Brendan. The only card he had left to play was to admit exactly what he and Walker had got up to during their time inside, that would definitely stop her in her tracks, but Brendan wasn't sure he really wanted to divulge that information, he didn't want people knowing his and Walker's intimate past, especially when it could get back to Steven.
He'd never actually had the 'are you gay?' conversation with Walker but he had kind of just assumed, most of the time when suck another man's cock before bending over for him it means you're pretty damn gay. They had of course been in prison, which was a bit of a stereotype, but Walker had only been inside for 2 months, it was hardly like he'd been in there for so many years he was willing to bend the other way for some much needed affection or release. Here he was though, bold as brass, propping up the bar, running his fingers through his 90's hairdo, casually swilling whisky around his glass whilst gazing into Cheryl's eyes with carnal intent as she flapped about and whittered on about nothing. Either Walker was leading his baby sister on and playing her for a fool, or he was genuinely interested in taking things further with her, Brendan didn't know which was worse.
Brendan's hands clenched into fists at his side as he stood in the club doorway observing the pair on the balcony, time to step in.
"Walker! A word" he turned and walked back into the office without waiting for a response.
Walker's tall frame leisurely sauntered into the office, closing the door behind him and standing before Brendan.
"You called."
Brendan leaned back in his chair "What were you talking with Cheryl about?"
A small smile played across the other man's lips "oh that? well she was just giving me the highs and lows of the Brendan Brady story"
"Is that right? Well she does love a drama does my baby sister, can't trust a word that comes out of her mouth when she's had a drink truth be told"
"I'll make sure to take her stories with a pinch of salt then. Anything else?"
Brendan gritted his teeth, he really was going to have to have a word with Cheryl about how much information she was giving him, no doubt he was twisting the true nature of their conversation just to irk Brendan, but still.
"Yeah, I need you to go to Leeds. I need a package picking up"
Walker stared at him in silence "can't you get one of your lackeys to do that, or Joel? I'm not your errand boy Brendan, don't forget that" he said sternly
"Would i?" Brendan feigned shock "keep your knickers on, this needs someone i can trust, someone who knows what they're doing. It's a high priority package" he pulled a piece of paper out of his blazer pocket and held it out to Walker "this is the address".
Walker slowly took the paper and studied it before giving a slow barely there nod and leaving the club.
After he'd completed the orders online for the week Brendan heard the Chez Chez door open and Cheryl call out to him. He casually sauntered into the bar, opting to take advantage of the empty club to have the Walker discussion with her.
"Alright sis" Brendan said as he leant against the door frame, arms crossed.
"Hiya love. Orders all sorted?"
"Yeah, done. So just you, me and Rhys working tonight. Walker's had to go to Leeds on some business"
"Oh yeah, he said, looking for a new motorbike. You know i've always thought that was dead sexy" Brendan looked at her with a blank expression. "Motorbikes, men with motorbikes, you know what I mean? All rugged and dangerous, the leathers" she was staring off into the distance with a longing on her face. Brendan tried his best not to grimace.
"You've been spending a lot of time with Walker recently" He tried to sound nonchalant. Cheryl wasn't buying it.
Her eyes shot up to meet his "Oh no, don't you start Brendan Brady" she warned
"What?"
"Don't start your big brother overprotective crap. Walker's your friend, don't you go forgetting that"
Brendan walked closer "He's more of a business associate actually"
Cheryl raised her brows at him appraisingly as she wiped down the bar.
"Just stay away from him ok, he's no good for you" He turned on his heels to walk back to the office.
"You just can't help yourself can you?!" Cheryl exclaimed as she slammed the cloth she was holding down on to the bar. "You always have to interfere and take control"
"What are you talking about?" Brendan bit back
"I'll date who i want, you've meddled in my love life enough times, i'm not having it again"
Date? Jesus, he thought it was a bit of juvenile flirting.
"You're overreacting sis" Brendan said flatly. In hindsight that wasn't the best thing to say, it was like a red rag to a bull.
"Overreacting?! Overreacting! I know you Brendan, I know exactly how you operate. You don't like anyone to be happy, not even me. Well I'm sorry you've ruined your own love life but don't interfere with mine like you did with Warren and Mal!"
Where the hell was this coming from? Since when did he not want her to be happy? She was irate. He should have calmed the situation down and got to the bottom of her anger, but he was too put out by the comment on his love life, an obvious dig about him and Steven, to do any such thing.
"Oh right, because I'm the reason your love life's a car crash?!"
She looked aghast, momentarily taken back by his cruel comment before she narrowed her eyes and went on the attack.
"Well excuse me if I don't take relationship advice from you. You have a failed marriage, a string of one night stands and the one guy who could have been the love of your life, well you know what he's doing tonight? He's on a hot date" Brendan's face paled, Steven was on a date with another man.
"Yeah, Amy just told me Doug's set him up with the rich successful model looking estate agent that dealt with the Deli sale. So when it comes to my relationships, keep your moustache out!" and on that note Cheryl stormed out of the club.
Brendan leant his hands out wide against the bar and bowed his head, he had no idea what had got into Cheryl and why she'd been so angry at him. The main thought going around his head though was about Steven, Steven going on a date, Steven going on a date that Doug had set up. It was time Brendan had a little word with Douglas.

Early the next morning Brendan was making his way into the club when he saw Douglas letting himself into the deli, time to have a word with the resident yank. The door was still unlocked as Brendan pushed it open and slowly made his way into the shop, he took a look around at the work the builders had done, the Deli was looking good, he had to admit that, eighty thousand well spent you could say.
A few minutes later Douglass came out of the back storage room and looked at Brendan in surprise
"Brendan"
"Yankee Doodle"
"We don't open till monday"
"Mmm so I've seen on the flyers. How exciting" Brendan slowly walked around the deli dragging his index finger against surfaces.
"What do you want?" Douglas looked nervous
"Douglas! Now is that anyway to speak to your investor" Brendan teased sarcastically.
"I'm just waiting for the electricians. Last thing that needs to be sorted" the American shifted around nervously.
"Right, right, and where exactly is Steven?" Brendan stopped his movements and stared directly at Douglass.
He swallowed deeply "erm he was out last night, so i said meet the workmen"
Lying little yank. He could see the guilt written all over his face, wanted to play matchmaker did he? Well he'd made a move against the wrong opponent.
"You know I've been thinking Douglas, a business partnership is a delicate thing. You really have to trust each other for it to work, you have to be honest with each other, i should know, you saw how me and foxy ended up…tragic stuff" Brendan made sure his words were menacingly slow.
No response from the boy.
"Secrets you see, they have a habit of coming out at the worst times. They never stay buried. A shame really, a crying shame."
Just at that moment the door sprung open and a middle aged man in work clothes and carrying a tool box walked in
"Doug is it? I'm Phil, here to fix the electrics"
"Well that's my cue to leave, i look forward to Monday Douglas" Brendan turned and exited, a self satisfied smile playing across his face.

Brendan was lounging back in the office chair with his feet up on the desk and his eyes closed, listening to Giuseppe Verdi compositions when the office door flung open. He knew exactly who it was going to be, didn't even need to open his eyes
"What do you think you're playing at?!"
"Walker"
"This package you needed me to pick up yesterday, this ever so important package, was a bottle of whisky"
"Well I love whisky" Brendan slowly opened his eyes. He could see Walker clenching his jaw in frustration and anger.
"So you sent me to Leeds for a poxy bottle of whisky?" walker spat
Brendan smiled "I sent you to Leeds because I can. That money is in your back pocket, who put it there? who?"
"Don't you dare mug me off Brendan, you're well off the mark if you think you can treat me like this son" Walker's face was like thunder, Brendan had gotten to him, Walker hated to be belittled.
"Yeah, message received, now why don't you run along and tell my sister all about it? Eh?"
Walker sighed and shook his head in amusement.
"Ah so that's what this is all about then? Jealous?"
"Like i said before, you and me, it's just business now" Brendan swung his legs off the desk and sat up straight.
Walker's cool facade was back in place, now he thought he knew Brendans game, he didn't. "I think you're all wound up, you're all excited" Walker spoke seductively, suggestively, it had the opposite effect on Brendan.
Brendan stood and rounded the desk until his face was inches away from Walkers
"I know what you are Walker, but you really have no idea what i am, and what i'm capable of"
"Don't i? You still havent worked this out yet have you? This still hasn't clicked for you has it?" Walker stared at Brendans lips
"Nothing needs to click for me" Brendan drawled. "Let me show you to the door" Brendan made a move for it.
"Don't walk away from me!" Walker lunged forward as Brendan turned around slamming Brendan up against the door with his hand wrapped around his throat. "We're not done". The two men stared wildly into each other's eyes, before Walker dipped his head to kiss Brendan softly. After a few seconds the Irishman took Walker by surprise and pushed him back against the opposite wall off the office, his hands clenched on the collar of Walker's jacket.
"Not like that, like this" Brendan kissed Walker back violently, the two men began a frenzied battle of lust and power as they threw each other around the office, half attack half sexual encounter.
Brendan had rid himself of his blazer and undone most of the buttons on his shirt, Walker's jacket and t-shirt lay strewn on the office floor. The pair were frantically undoing each other's belts and zippers when Walker stuffed his hand into Brendans boxers and took hold of his hardening cock causing Brendan to let out a huffed moan, their open mouths were cm's apart, sharing breath. After several pumps, Brendan grabbed ahold of Walker's hips and turned him sharply and bent him over the desk, pulling the man's boxers and jeans down to his ankles before releasing his fully hard cock completely from the confines of his suit trousers. Brendan leant down to the desk drawer and pulled out a condom and lube bottle from his stash while Walker spat on his own fingers and began to work himself open. After Brendan wrapped up he squirted a blob of lube onto himself and coated his length, a second later and he was plunging himself into Walker's heat eliciting a primal groan from the man. Brendan began to rapidly thrust into him as they both rutted against each other, Walker throwing himself backwards to meet each of Brendan's movements showing that he was fucking Brendan just as much as Brendan was fucking him, the constant power play. Their actions were almost barbaric with one another, like they were trying to cause as much harm as possible whilst getting each other off, sweat dripping off each of them. Walker raised his chest off the desk using one hand to steady himself and the other to grab Brendan's hip and pull him closer, Brendan leant back to get a better view of where he was impaled into Walker and gripped his fingers into his hair. Their noises were fierce and unchecked with Brendan letting out a final growl as he came inside the other man, he grabbed ahold of Walker's cock before pulling out and jerked him off fervently until he felt him come over his hand about 20 seconds later.
Brendan pulled out, tied off the used condom and threw it in the bin before grabbing a wet wipe and cleaning off his manhood and hands. He coldly re-buttoned his shirt, tucking it into his trousers and fixed his belt in less than half a minute, walking out the slightly ajar office door and rounding the bar to pour himself a drink.
As he waited for Walker to dress and emerge from the office he thought about how different this was to how he behaved with other men. He wasn't one for cuddling and pillow talk with one night stands that for sure, it could be rough and frantic but it was never violent, he supposed the men he usually went for were not that type and there was certainly never a power struggle with them. The first time he and Walker had fucked in prison, Walker seemed to think there was a question about which one of them would top, there was never, ever, any question about that in his mind on the other hand, but Brendan knew the other man would love to top him still.
With Vinnie and Macca he'd been far softer, he'd let them stay the night at points, had let them cuddle him, had enjoyed the warm comforting body they provided, had prioritised their pleasure because he loved that control over them.
Steven, he was a completely different ball game. He'd been Steven's first, like with Vinnie, but unlike with Vinnie, Steven made him lose his head. He'd never felt want and need like it, never felt raw passion or chemistry that came anywhere close. Steven's pleasure meant more than his not just because he wanted the control, but because he wanted to give Steven everything. Watching the boy while he was underneath him was enough to send him into ecstasy alone, hearing the noises he made, seeing the facial expressions, it drove Brendan wild.
An animalistic fuck like he'd just had with Walker scratched an itch of sorts, provided a small amount of release, but it would never compare to what Steven provided him with, never.

From: Steven
We need to talk. I know about the Deli.
S
Waking up to that message on Saturday morning sent a shiver of excitement through Brendan, Douglas had spilled the beans then, good boy.
This wasn't how Brendan had planned for Steven to find out originally. He'd been ready to play the long game, compliment Steven on his success, help him out with business management advice here, expansion plans there, visit the deli everyday for breakfast and lunch, wear Steven down basically, but with his Brendan Brady charm. When he was firmly back in Steven's good books he was going to tell him what he'd done and Steven was going to be so overwhelmed that Brendan had invested thousands of pounds into his dream that he'd never want to leave Brendan again because he'd understand just how much he loved him. Well, that had been the best case scenario, a tad optimistic Brendan could admit. But here they were, Douglas's missguided attempt at matchmaking had forced Brendan's hand and now it was time to make the best out of the situation.
To: Steven
I'm a busy guy today Steven but I have a 4pm window free. I'll book a meeting room in town and send you the details.
BB
Brendan arrived at the business hotel early and sat himself down in the empty meeting room, he relaxed leisurely in one of the seats and waited for Steven to Arrive. At 4pm on the dot the door opened and the receptionist he'd seen earlier showed Steven into the room, he was wearing the Carter & Hay uniform that he'd seen Doug in yesterday, the light blue oxford shirt tucked into stone chinos with a tan belt and navy boat shoes. Brendan could imagine Douglas made the executive decision when it came to the outfit, it had him written all over it, but Brendan did have to admit it suited Steven perfectly. The blue of the shirt complemented the golden hue of his skin whilst bringing out the blue in his eyes, it also seemed to make his hair look more of dark blonde than the brown he was used to. The fit of the shirt accentuated the lithe body underneath, athletic in a slender way, the belt emphasised his narrow hips and slim waist, and those chinos framed his pert ass beautifully, the boy looked magnificent.
He could imagine the thought process Steven went through this morning, wanting to look professional and serious, but not like he'd tried too hard, which would rule a suit out of the occasion, it made Brendan smile fondly.
Steven on the other hand was most certainly not smiling, his face was like thunder, narrow eyes and a sullen pout that only made Brendan want to devour his lips. Focus, here for business Bredan remanded himself.
Steven sat down stroppily and unpacked his satchel with a number of documents before resting his elbows on the boardroom style table, clasping his hands together and glaring at Brendan.
Brendan raised an eyebrow "You finished?"
Steven said nothing.
"I'm gonna make you an offer, you can take it or you can leave it"
Steven didn't wait to hear the offer before he started "You are loving this aren't ya? Right just so you know, i'm not having you coming in on my business OK?"
Brendan was trying not to provoke him any further, so he spoke calmly. "I've been in since the beginning Steven"
Steven took a breath, before casting his eye down to the table with a tight smile.
"Yeah, well if i would have known that, i would never have agreed. Trust me"
"But Douglas did and now look at what you have, a business worth fighting for, A deli." Brendan leant forward and poured them both a glass of water from the jug that had been provided. Steven drank from it quickly and wetted his lips, he was angry but he was nervous.
"Are you ready for my offer?"
Steven remained silent, his stubborn lack of response indicating to Brendan that he could proceed. "I'll be a silent partner. You run it, I won't get involved. Simple"
Stevens' eyes softened ever so slightly as he let Brendan's words sink in, he looked down at his papers and then around the room before letting his gaze settle on Brendan again.
"No, no, there's no way that you could be silent, whatever i'm doing you've always got something to say" it came out as more of a question than a statement.
"What have I said so far?" Steven raised his eyebrow at Brendan in challenge "on the business front i've kept my nose out of it, you didn't even know i was involved. You've proven you can handle it, I've left you alone and that won't change, you'll be in charge, no strings. I promise you"
Brendan slid a contract over the desk towards Steven and lowered his head to catch Stevens' gaze. "You just need to sign"
Stevens' shoulders sagged and he let out a breath "I just didn't think you were going to do this" He'd been prepared for a fight that Brendan wasn't going to give him.
"I'm older and wiser Steven" He offered up a pen to the boy.
Steven took the pen but remained unsure "and if i sign this now, is that really it? Because I can't afford to pay you back, you know that. We'd have to sell it"
"You won't hear a peep from me, as long as I get a return on my investment eventually ofcourse, just like the bank would have" Brendan smiled at him.
Steven looked down at the papers, and made an attempt to read what was written. Brendan fought the urge to guide him to the sections that were most relevant, even if documents like this would be a struggle for the boy to read, he'd take Brendans assistance right now as a personal insult. They were still on shaky ground here. Stevens' eyes scanned back and forth over the document and his lips moved as he mouthed the words to himself, he eventually picked up the pen, hesitated for a further few seconds before signing in all the stipulated areas and sliding the contract back to Brendan.
"Let's grab a drink, celebrate"
"No, I can't, I've not eaten today."
That wasn't the out and out rejection Brendan had expected. "Well how about we get some food then? From the restaurant"
Steven still had a scowl on his face but he nodded in agreement and began packing up his bag.
