Chapter 27: Isaribi's Side of Saturday

Isaribi left the tavern having settled something with Naruto. She decided to lift her claim on the Whispymound house letting Naruto have it. Given she had to pay less than half for the new office, it was the least she could do. She rode off on her motorcycle over to Mirror Fashion to see about upgrading the shop.

All she found was options for increasing security to which only one guard was enough and options to expand on what clothing to sell. She looked upon her options from her office computer.

"Biker themed clothes?" She thought before making the purchase. "Worth the 50 grand."

She made her leave as the cashier thanked her for the visit before she was off again on her bike. Her next shop was Herr Kutz to get her hair done. If it was one thing she was more than glad to take advantage of was the System's freedom to customize. She arrived at the local one in Mirror Park before striding to get seated. The System produced a text box with a list, and she settled on a 'Rolled Quiff' hairdo and getting her eyebrows touched up. She sauntered out as her phone rang and she saw it was Lester.

"What's good, Les?" Isaribi asked.

"Shitting on Merryweather. I got a job for you, and yes I am looking into new opportunities for you. Just clear this one and I'll get to it faster." Lester said as Isaribi accepted.

"What's the lowdown?" Isaribi said. "Because if it's Merryweather, I know we're screwing with them."

"Don't ask me how I know but Merryweather are holding some seriously hush-hush tech at the docks. Some kind of electromagnetic weapon about to be shipped out to someone dangerous. We can't let that device is in a trailer so you'll need a truck to move it. Check one of the industrial areas nearby. Good luck. They've got a lot of men on this so go prepared." Lester said.

"One, what's the pay? And two, you do know as a CEO, I can hire Merryweather to just open a strike on their own site." Isaribi said as Lester was trying not to laugh.

"10 grand, but fuck it, you pull that getting Merryweather to shoot themselves in the foot…and it'll be double." Lester said before hanging up.

She was rather glad that she could simply park her vehicles near Mirror Fashion given it had a marked parking space for her. She parked her bike and started walking, deciding on whether to get backup or not. The mission could be done solo.

Her thoughts would distract her, missing two cars speeding away. Isaribi looked up to see two dead bodies in a parking lot, with their ammo and cash already stolen. She simply called for a cab, happy to do so because co-owning a cab depot meant free fast travel. She went into Chico's Hypermarket and bought a soda before coming out to see the cab had arrived. Isaribi got in the back seat.

"Where to?" Ai asked.

"Autopia Parkway. I've marked the location of exactly where." Isaribi said, marking it on her mini-map.

"Yes, boss." Ai said.

Isaribi simply hit skip and found herself exactly where she needed to be, right in front of Big House Storage Inc's warehouse. She got out as Ai drove off as Isaribi got her sell out to call Nora with her idea.

"Let me get this straight, you want to hire Merryweather to land a strike on themselves." Nora said, trying not to laugh. "You know it, let me call MC to help with this. It'll be done, boss."

Isaribi hung up before getting her Combat MG out only to see Buzzard Attack Helicopters fly in and rain bullets down at their own soldiers. In the chaos, Isaribi was using her special ability to run as quietly as she could to the target truck. Once she got in, the helicopters flew off making it easy for her to drive off with the truck.

"Lester, I got the truck and I got those idiots to do the dirty work for me." Isaribi said after calling him up.

"I saw the whole thing. Got me a good laugh." Lester said. "Just bring it to my warehouse."

"On it." Isaribi said, putting on the radio before hanging up.

In time, she arrived at the warehouse, parking the trailer in the yellow marquee before getting out of the truck. She called Lester once she got the Mission Complete screen.

"Lester, it's done." Isaribi said.

"Excellent. I sent your payment, and I got a few things. I noticed that Levin's been seeking out new property. I also noticed the substantial amount of money you received…if you're in need of property. There's a high-end place you can snatch up for a little over 700 grand on the same street Levin's living on. I'll send a link." Lester remarked.

"Thanks for looking out for me." Isaribi said. "I mean it."

"Don't fret about it. Your organization is helping me quite well, good to invest in. Besides, you and I have worked together for a long while…you've had my back." Lester said wistfully. "Listen…I'm working on something... something interesting, I think, but I need a little time. Anyway, I got a request...through the ether, so to 's looking for a crew, to take a score, but I don't know any more on the details though. I thought maybe you'd be interested. Personally, I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot barge pole, because I don't know any of these people, but if you're interested, be my guest. I can tell them to come see you."

"Thank you Uncle Lester for this wonderful job opportunity. I'm pretty sure you'll want a kickback for this…I'll send it your way. Bye." Isaribi said as a text box pinged up.

[A New Heist is Available at Your High-End Apartment]

She texted Yara and Naruto about it, but was rather surprised to see Yara was in Sandy Shores for some reason. Once she saw both had seen the text, she took her leave. She went up on the link Lester and bought the house without question. 2862 Hillcrest Avenue was now hers. Isaribi's phone buzzed with a text from Yara.

'Could use some help to get out of the desert!'

Isaribi called Nora for a chopper to pick herself up.
