Chapter 28: Naruto's Side of Saturday

Naruto had let the tavern open back up to the public, deciding to take his time with his food before going into the office to look over things. He was in a pretty good mood having come to an agreement with Isaribi which left the Whispymound home in his hands in full. There was also the simple pleasure of being a millionaire. On his office computer, he looked at what could be purchased for the bar. An interior upgrade was among them split into four types and he settled for the Japanese theme paying 50k for it , 20k for a proper DJ set up, and 10k to increase worker wages. With that gone, Naruto left the office only to find the interior completely changed to a cross of traditional and modern Japanese elements.

"I guess it was a sudden change." Naruto said to himself before laughing. "Now, what to do?"

As he was leaving, Shikamaru arrived with Vanessa, Choji, and Deja. Shikamaru seemed happy to see Naruto asking if there was anything going on.

"No, I just had the tavern remodeled. You on a double date?" Naruto snarked as Choji snickered.

"Yes." Vanessa said. "And if there's no need for jobs, we'd like to spend our time having a drink or two."

"Be my guest." Naruto said before getting his Schafter before driving after.

Cruising down Mirror Park Boulevard, a blue blip came up on his radar. Naruto decided to check it out, finding himself at a local Digital Den.

[Random Character - Beatrice]

"Naruto?"

Naruto lowered the window more to see a face he had not seen since his schooling days. Beatrice Treadau. She still looked fairly thin, but had a more modern hairdo, no glasses, and no longer had a slouch. She was clad in the typical clothes of a doctor and a kelly green backpack.

"Beatrice? Shit, I didn't expect to see you…need a lift or something?" Naruto asked.

"Sure." Beatrice said getting in the passenger side of the car. "I need to go to Eclipse Medical Center."

Naruto got to driving before asking what she had been up to.

"After the insanity of that year long ago, I got myself in gear to graduate early. Got a scholarship to get into medical school…and now I'm a neurosurgeon. One of the youngest in the States." Beatrice said proudly. "What about you?"

"CEO of a company I started with a friend." Naruto mused. "Freelance merc too."

"It's almost freaky isn't it…to realize you're now an adult and your high school days are behind you." Beatrice said wistfully. "Not that I miss it..."

"I don't either. Bullworth was a special kind of hell…what happened to Petey, Mandy, and Zoe?" Naruto asked. "Jimmy, namely."

"Petey's the headmaster of the school, Dr. Crabblesnitch groomed him to take the position seeing his potential. Jimmy graduated near the top of the class, he's also working at the school as head of security…runs gym classes with Zoe…they're married now with a pair of kids." Beatrice said wistfully. "Lucky her."

Naruto would learn of the fates of some of his old classmates and associates. He was relieved to hear that Johnny Vincent had finally cut Lola out of his life. It was funny…given that Johnny V and Lola sounded far too similar to Johnny K and Ashley. To add to the further irony, Johnny got together and later eloped with Pinky. Hearing that got Naruto to laugh.

"Lola couldn't have liked that." Naruto snarked.

"Of course not, she threw fits, but no one gave two shits. She was pretty much fazed off the clique. I don't know what Lola became after she graduated…she said something of running off to be famous in the West Coast. I do that Pinky rode off into the sunset with the Greasers…well they're more like bikers now." Beatrice remarked.

"What about the Perfects?" Naruto asked. "There only was one decent one among the bunch."

"They all became police officers." Beatrice said dryly. "However, MacTavish leads them…they're in check." Beatrice said, shaking her head in disbelief. "I still wouldn't go back."

"What about Mandy?" Naruto asked.

"Moved out at the end of the school year. No idea what happened to her." Beatrice said.

Naruto soon arrived in front of the center.

"Thanks for the ride, Naruto. Here, you can have what was going to pay for a cab." Beatrice said, handing him fifty dollars.

[Mission Complete! +$50]

She left, heading for the door as Naruto had a thoughtful look on his face. Naruto drove off trying to think of what he should do now only for his phone to ring to interrupt his thoughts. He answered it to hear Martin Madrazo.

"Mr. Madrazo." Naruto mused.

"Ah yes, Mr. Uzumaki. I've heard a bit of a rumor your friends were involved in fucking with Merryweather, and I want to help you do the same." Martin mused.

"Is that so? What do you need?" Naruto asked.

"Rogers Scrapyard in La Puerta. One of Merryweather's stash spots. They're going to be there from now until 8 at night." Martin remarked. "Have fun…and one last thing, I have a set of jobs I'd to divide among the three of you. Is Monday going to be clear for you?"

"Depends on the job." Naruto said hoping for a bit more detail.

"Pest control." Martin said sternly.

"Works for me." Naruto said. "Thank you, Mr. Madrazo. Goodbye."

Naruto hung up and got to driving for La Puerta before calling up Nora.

"Mr. Uzumaki, how can I be of service? Oh, available members to join you? Mirabel and Molly are available." Nora mused.

"Have them meet me at Roger's Scrapyard." Naruto said before hanging up.

Naruto arrived at the street to see Mirabel and Molly waiting for him.

[Gang Attack 2 - Merryweather]

"I hope you two are strapped. There is a nest of Merryweather in it." Naruto said as both Molly and Mirabel put up black bandanas around their faces.

"We're ready." Mirabel said with her Phyton loaded.

They went in with Naruto leading them in, using his earpiece to get intel from Nora.

"Looks like they're protecting some cargo to be shipped out. Jewelry…a crate of that and it seems they may be carrying a rare Blood Diamond." Nora said. "Nora out."

Using the building as cover, they scoped the area, noticing the branch of Merryweather there was not the Black Ops one but the lighter armed security force. Naruto used his mini-map to find the crates that were inside the warehouse in a HVY Insurgent with a few guarding it, notably Black Ops.

"I got this. There's four of them…the moment I snipe one…shoot to prevent them from getting backup." Naruto said, going up the stairs to get into position with his Sniper Rifle.

He lined up the shot taking aim at the man with the AK and fired with the bullet tearing through the mook's head before hitting the ground with a thump.

[Cues: Metal Gear Solid OST - Encounter]

"Hey, we got.."

Molly sprang out revealing an automatic MPS AA-12 shotgun to which she revealed had explosive rounds by blowing that guy's face off. Mirabel snuck around before shooting another mook in the back of her head before Naruto sniped the last one.

"So what's the plan?" Mirabel said as Naruto came down.

"Take the uniforms that aren't soaked in blood and soot, put them on and get the goods out of here. I'll deal with the rest…also you have the weapons and the cash they have." Naruto said before taking some ammo for them.

Naruto left through a door as Mirabel and Molly got to changing clothes. Naruto knew he was going to have to go loud and got out his rocket launcher once he was outside. He fired a rocket right into one of their cars killing two.

[Cues: GTA Online OST - Gang Attack Theme 2]

Switching to his MG, he fired after them before taking cover as bullets rained down at him.

"I don't know who you are, but we're going to make you wish you were never born!" One of them said only for Naruto to shot him in the throat.

"Like I haven't heard that before!" Naruto snapped before jumping over the box used as cover to fire his SMG. "Come on, you sons of bitches!"

Naruto slightly winced from a shotgun shell to the shoulder, but he swapped to his sawed-off shotgun to shoot the leg of the merc who winged him. That merc screamed for help as his coworkers were moving to get to him while firing their guns after Naruto.

"Fuck, my leg!" The merc screamed.

"We need to call for a medic." The second merc said.

"And let them find out we were taking a cut of the action for ourselves." The injured merc said. "No, we need the truck with the goods to be moved…"

He cut himself off seeing the Insurgent leaving the scrapyard.

"Those motherfuckers are bailing on us!"

Then they heard the click and whoosh sound…of a rocket coming right at them to blow them up. Then he heard an explosion in the distance and he had a bad feeling that it was his ride.

"Ok, just five left and my armor's mostly down to it's limit." Naruto said before spying a car, a matte black Mesa clearly belonging to Merryweather.

Naruto got in the car, found the cars, and started it up before swapping to his pistols. Now it was a matter of a drive-by before running over the last man.

[Gang Attack 2 - Merryweather - Complete! +$2,000, +500 RP]

Naruto got to looting everything he could. Weapons, ammo, and cash…which made him $5,000 richer, ammo to refill his guns, and some new weapons…mosty a cache of sticky bombs. With the job done, he was off in his Mesa. Naruto called up Hao.

"Hao speaking." Hao said.

"What's good, my Korean brother?" Naruto asked.

"Naruto, what's happening?" Hao said.

"I'm coming down to LS Customs, I need a paint job and some mods done on two vehicles." Naruto remarked.

"Any heat to them?" Hao asked.

"Not enough to be an issue…I'll explain when I get there. Later." Naruto said before texting Mirabel where to meet him.

As Naruto was driving, his phone rang with an odd ringtone he was sure he did put in the phone. Naruto's look went serious when he saw it was MC, so he answered.

"Hello, Naruto. I got a proposition for you." MC remarked.

"Might I ask why you thought of me?" Naruto asked, a bit wary.

"Because I reward good work and your progress is doing wonders for me financially." MC mused. "Plus, you helped me with my friends and their employment issues. Isaribi recently got a dumpster of money dumped on her, and I can never really get a read on Yara."

"Ok, what do you need?" Naruto said.

"Typically, I'm not supposed to interfere much, but I'm going to…using indirect parties, of course. I need you to make an investment on a warehouse, a vehicle warehouse. Now SecuroServ will only allow your organization to own one at a time, so I'm starting you off on the cheapest one. It's in La Mesa…not the best location but good for your budget. Anyway, you should be receiving a call from your assistant. Just head to the office and get to your computer to ready yourself to buy the warehouse. Before you do, have Nora call me…and you'll get the funds. And she'll be informed on what to do, and Tidal Fox will be doing to pay me back. Ciao."

MC hung up and Naruto arrived at the LSIA Los Santos Customs shop where Mirabel and Molly were getting out of the Insurgent back in their normal clothes sans bandanas.

"Good work. Molly, you can go. I only need one other person to drive this to the warehouse to drop it off." Naruto mused as Molly nodded.

"I'll go on ahead to call a cab." Molly said before leaving as Hao came out.

"Damn, Naruto…where you get these?" Hao asked before shaking his head. "Actually, never mind…I don't even want to know."

Naruto wheeled in the Mesa first getting it painted sunrise orange keeping the secondary color black. He found that the car was already armored and had bulletproof tires to which Naruto shifted focus to get race brakes, a Level 4 EMS upgrade, a tracker, full coverage, Xenon lights, lowered suspension, race transmission, turbo tuning, dark smoke tinted glass, a retractable roof panel, a blue on white license plate with 'WHIRL11', Five Star rims colored black, and orange tire smoke for pettiness. Hao throwing in nitrous made an even 50k which Naruto was happy to hand over. As for the Insurgent, it was a simple matter of orange rims, limo tinted glass, and nitrous added. It was money well worth Naruto thought.

"Pleasuring doing business…let me know when you down to race." Hao said as Naruto and Mirabel drove away.

Naruto would get the call from Nora about the new business op for them, and then a text from Isaribi letting him know she purchased an office garage. Then another text from Yara on acquiring a new small warehouse in La Mesa to which Naruto had informed Mirabel of a change in plans. Nora would end up calling again.

"Nora?" Naruto said after answering.

"I noticed Tidal Fox now has more then one warehouse. You're going to need a manager for them…so I had someone in mind to offer the job of serving as a part of your specialist as a cargo operations manager who will assist you in these matters." Nora mused. "Don't worry, I can vouch for her. She's an ex-Vagos, so she's got connections."

"Ok, then. I guess I'll be meeting her at the warehouse." Naruto said before hanging up.

Naruto and her arrived outside the warehouse. Mirabel tossed her his keys for his Mesa requesting for her to drop his car off at his parking space at the Tahitian, along with giving her three grand as thanks.

"Later, Naruto." Mirabel said driving away with the car as Naruto got in the Insurgent.

The warehouse's garage door opened to let him in before he got out to see the woman that Nora hired. He found her writing something in her notepad. It had not surprised him that she was Hispanic. She had chin length brown hair with parted bangs and a low ponytail, brown eyes, a beauty mark under her right eye, red lipstick, a faded Vagos neck tattoo, and black rimmed glasses. She wore a light brown jacket over her clothes which covered the tattoos on her arms.

"Hey jefe, what's up? You must be Naruto. I'm Lupe, head of your ops and warehouse crew." Lupe said. "Well…the crew can't really come onboard until you get at least one medium…or large warehouse under your belt." Lupe said, shaking Naruto's hand. "So you came to unload."

"Yeah, but I got a special item that needs to be shipped today." Naruto said getting the case with the blood diamond out of the car.

"I can arrange for it to be sold for you, but my cut is 10%." Lupe said as Naruto handed it to her. "Ok then, I'll make the arrangements. You should be receiving my number as will the others. I'll transfer the money to you."

Naruto got the case of jewelry out of it before loading it on the shelf, himself.

"Well Lupe, I'll leave you to it." Naruto said before leaving in his Insurgent.

He arrived at his office, entering the office garage to park his car there. He found his, Yara's, and Isaribi's personal vehicles there in parking spots. He did get a notice from the System about customization of the garage space, but was more focused on getting to business. He took the elevator up to the office which was much bigger. He noticed there was now a drink machine and a vending machine in the 'waiting room'. Nora was at her desk only in a different outfit: an off-white long sleeved mini sweater dress with a turtleneck, a wide black belt that has a circular buckle on it, and black thigh high-heeled boots. Her hair was now tied in a back-flip hairstyle with bangs swept to the left. Naruto could not help but smirk seeing that Isaribi got to one of the outfits that could be bought for Nora to wear. Using Lana Kane's outfit was a nice choice.

"Welcome. Boss, there's an update on SecuroServ; this is big. They've now wanted us moving into vehicle cargo. Log into the terminal and I'll talk you through it." Nora said as they went to his office.

Once there and Naruto was being walked through on what to do, Nora gave the call to MC who had sent a sizable amount of cash to Naruto.

"He says to buy the La Mesa vehicle warehouse and get the branded interior. MC give you enough to pay for the property, but you'll be paying for the branded interior." Nora said as Naruto paid for it. "And once you and Isaribi are ready to visit, we'll all go together."

"Right, thank you Nora. Now that business is handled…I think I want to cash in a favor." Naruto said with a grin.

"Well, I can't go back on my word." Nora said as the System pulled up the menu for Naruto to take his pick.

Naruto made his selection and was in the midst of enjoying Nora's company. Unknown to them, they were going to have company. Kyanna arrived with Phillip, finding Nora's desk empty.

"Where's Tia Nora?" Phillip said.

"Wait here." Kyanna said going on ahead.

She wondered before hearing something and shuffled before moving towards it before clearly hearing sucking sounds. She could see Naruto at his desk with a pleased look. Kyanna stepped back only to trip over something letting out a mild curse. Kyanna heard a thump, a crunch, and Naruto screaming bloody murder.

(A/N: Poor Naruto. No GTA protagonist can say they got wasted by having their member bitten. At least GTA protagonists have good healthcare. But let me explain something, I slightly broke canon a bit with Lupe's early appearance. GTA players know she's a part of the Criminal Enterprise update, but I decided to cheat this for a simple reason. That update is a bit of a 'soft reboot' for new players to dive into the story instead of going through the Introduction. While I did say I was using all the updates into the story save for Gunrunning, I realized I technically could include some of Criminal Enterprises. So Lupe got to appear early.)
