(A/N: 45 chapters?! I never thought I'd even get there. Heck, this story is basically a year old. And as of Chapter 36, it's seventh place in terms of most words. Though once this chapter is posted, it's clearly going to be snugly in fourth place behind RWBYverse (which has 500k and is ongoing), The Outsider's Insurrection (379k) and is ongoing), and The Maelstrom of Stardew (which has 335k and is complete). Chapter 45: Doing the Vagos Dirty

The evening sky was rather bright as Naruto changed into fresh clothes, namely an onyx Peresus three-piece suit with an orange tie, a pair of orange tinted aviators, and black wingtips. Given after calling Lamar, he told him to come with a suit. Isaribi had gotten a call about a gang attack so she went taking Krista, Gigi, and Olive on their last job as associates for them to be promoted to Kobun. Still in the office, Naruto went to the break room to see if anyone was around to find Fuu, Maribel, and Riley watching television. Despite the style change, everyone would put their own spin on it.
"I want to know what's with the boss's obsession with Hawaiian shirts." Riley said not realizing Naruto was in the room.
"Trust me, I've got several of these in my closet. Colombians love these things as much as guayaberas." Mirabel remarked. "But there's a way to make it look gangster."
"True that. And the color orange is growing on me. Green still trumps though." Fuu remarked as Naruto tried not to laugh.
"Well good to see you four are here." Naruto said, getting their attention. "I got a job from Lamar."
"Lamar? Hell yeah, he's my homie." Riley said, getting his hat on. "What we doing?"
"We're meeting out pretty far…in Sandy Shores. So we're traveling in one car…we're also going to need to pick up suits for all three of you." Naruto said.
"Suits?" Mirabel asked.

The El Gordo Lighthouse was lit up with bullets as Isaribi and her crew were facing off against the Vagos.
"Oi, asshole! Here's some head!" Krista said, blowing off the head of the gang member with a Sawed-Off Shotgun.
"Well, you lot aren't too bad shots." Isaribi said using her SMG to mow a few shots. "Jase was right to speak highly of you three."
"Thanks boss." Gigi said having jacked one of the Vagos' boats to do a drive-by. "There's one left."
Olive tackled him to the ground, having her AP Pistol aimed down at his skull as he was surrounded by the others.
"Care to tell us why you're out here?" Isaribi asked.
"Vine a pasarme para follarme a vuestras madres, cabrones." The Vagos spat.
"Madre está muerta, y tú también estarás muerto." Isaribi said icily. "Olive, kill him."
BANG! Olive domed him.
"Fourth gang attack done…I should be doing more of these." Isaribi thought as she got the reward from the System.
Isaribi had the girls search and they would find a crate of weapons, prompting Isaribi to text Danica to get it.
"We're going to store it up?" Olive asked.
"Nah, it's just one crate of weapons. So on that note, after a few jobs, you've survived and proven your skill. So as oyabun of the Nine Tails, I officially promote you three to Kobun. Congratulations." Isaribi said formally.
"Finally, we can ditch these red tint shades." Krista said chipperly revealing a pair of yellow tinted aviators. "Got these off a body…along with some sweet gold watches."
"As a reward, I'll allow you to have a pick from the crate before Danica comes to pick this crate up." Isaribi said as the three excitedly got to picking what they wanted.

The cab came to a stop to let Naruto and his crew out on a dusty road in Sandy Shores right where the Yellow Jack Inn was. Everyone was in suits and aviators as they sauntered into the place with Naruto walking into the mission marquee.

The four did not have to wait long for Lamar to arrive before he guided them to an empty table in the back.
"Hey, look here... according to this online course I've been taking, nothing says "leadership material" better than taking opportunities right? So what better opportunities we got to put the Vagos out of business, than to go shoot up the funeral of their boy Little Al that y'all killed in the drive-by?" Lamar explained.
"At a funeral?" Riley said as Naruto raised an eyebrow.
"Don't worry, they using the funeral as a means to smuggle that yeyo." Lamar said in a whisper.
"It might not put them out of business, but it will put a big dent in their business. Something my family will be pleased by." Maribel said. "Let's do this."
"I'm down." Fuu said.
Earpieces ready, the four left. As Lamar was giving instructions, Mirabel got a tip from Dolores of Vagos in the Harmony. Mirabel texted back after hearing Lamar's instruction. Naruto hijacked a Karin Rebel as three got in as Naruto drove off for Harmony.
"Don't worry about the Vagos in Harmony." Mirabel remarked with a grin. "Got a tip from Dolores about it, so I had my family get rid of the Vagos. Their Emperor will be waiting for us."
"Sweet." Naruto remarked. "So…how is the money for college?"
"Turns out there's an online college for those wanting to get into what I see…they're in the business of certifying teachers because they see the desperate need for our country to have qualified teachers…for private schools." Mirabel said as everyone laughed. "As if I'd work in a public school."
"Not with what they pay teachers." Fuu joked. "Seriously, one of my old teachers was supposedly involved in a robbery. Everyone was wondering if he did it or not…I believe he did because the school paid him shit."
"And while I would like the college experience…I think the online college will be easier for me to manage." Maribel remarked. "I've got enough for the tuition…I just need to get my own place."
"What? Don't like living with me?" Fuu asked.
"I love you, girl…but I can't live with you." Maribel remarked. "At least for much longer…I'd like my privacy…and my own space."
"Well, there's guest rooms at one of my places. The one with the pool you visited…I could let you stay there." Naruto remarked. "Don't worry too much on rent, you're already working with me so…"
"And you could pay with that banging body of yours. He had his eyes on you." Fuu said as Mirabel punched her shoulder. "Come on girl."
"Places? So you got multiple places…meaning you're not likely to sleep there all the time?" Mirabel asked, wanting to make sure.
"Yeah, I've been staying mostly at a new penthouse…I got a maid now." Naruto said.
"Is it Latina?" Maribel dryly asked.
"About that." Naruto remarked before explaining the situation.
"Esa poser tiene suerte de no estar muerta." Mirabel said flatly. "I think you were the merciful than I would have been."
That surprised everyone.
"It's more that she lied about stuff she's done and acting like she's hard. You don't talk shit unless you can dish it out twice as much." Mirabel said sternly. "Especially when you're a woman. If she had crossed my family, I would have torched the car…and had her watch before ending her life. We take that shit seriously."
"Considering she can't leave the city, she's in a debt that she can't feasibly pay working as a maid, her dreams are smashed, and she essentially has to suck Naruto off…that's a punishment." Fuu said.
"Oh it is, but eventually…she's not going to see it as punishment. Think about it. She's safe from everyone who wants her dead, she's living rent-free in luxury, she only really has to clean up after Naruto…who has multiple places meaning she'll be mostly on her own. If anything, it's not like having sex with you is going to be a complaint, Naruto. I kinda doubt you'll pimp her out…" Mirabel responded.
"That's actually a good point, but she is going to have to live with the fact that all of her friends are dead…one of them shot the other…and backstabbed the other. She's living with the fact that the only reason she's even alive is because she's a cowardly chickenshit. That guilt will haunt her ass for years…" Riley said astutely. "Nothing worse than a coward who has to live with what they've done."

Tomoko and Yara had enjoyed a spa treatment with a happy ending. The two had pulled at Yara's Hillcrest home.
"You ok, Yara? I just wanted to ask since-"
"I know, and I am. Besides, I have found a new family now." Yara said as Tomoko laughed.
"I've come to see you like my sister in arms. I've always wanted a sister." Tomoko said before revving her bike. "Look, have a good night. I'll see you round."
Tomoko rode off.

In the Emperor, Naruto got into the procession for the funeral…following to Hill Valley Church where the four had to stand for a funeral for guys they popped. Not like the eulogy helped as it was to brag about how many cops they sent to hell. Naruto was about ready to blow cover, but Mirabel beat him to the punch after hearing Little Al had stalked Isabela. Mirabel's eyes were red with rage as all she could see was a reddish tint over everything before opening fire.

"Step to it, motherfuckers!" Mirabel roared as opened fire with her Pythons. "Come on! COME ON!"
Naruto, Riley, and Fuu leapt back as Mirabel kept firing. Bullets didn't even seem to faze her as her grazed her.
"Holy shit, it's…"
"Who you think you're fucking with, huh? I'm Maribel Madrigal! DIE!" She screamed, nailing several more with headshots. "Come on! Step to me, I dare you!"
"This bitch is crazy!" A Vagos member cried out. "When is she going to reload?!"
"I show you something you never forget." Mirabel spat out as she tore up a grave marker before smashing it on the head of a mook.
Naruto, Riley, and Fuu realized she had murdered all the Vagos at the funeral save for one that was limping away.
"What you think? That I'm a worm like you, puta!" Mirabel said, stomping down on the poor man's damaged leg before doming him. "DIE!"
[Music Ends]
As quickly as it came…the moment ended as Mirabel's vision and eyes returned to normal. Her hands were shaking and she was breathing heavily.
"Damn, you killed every single one. What the hell happened to you?" Riley asked. "Your eyes just went red and it was like you were completely invincible. I swear you got shot in the head, and you just shrugged it off!"
Naruto realized what it was…and even Mirabel was coming to the same conclusion. Fuu did as well and looked to Riley.
"Look, I'll explain." Fuu said, taking Riley's hand. "Come on, we got a Hearse to take."
Naruto would drive the other one with Mirabel, who was still in shock over this.
"Something tells me that was unusual." Naruto said.
"It is…because it's never happened before. Getting the same gift as a previous family member." Maribel remarked. "My grandmother's. How ironic."
She got out her phone and proceeded to call them…

Casa Madrigal was in an uproar. Maribel awakening her gift was a great thing to hear, but then Maribel told them what it was. And well…opinions were split.
"Oh fuck…we're so fucked." Isabela said in a panic. "Why her?"
"We're not fucked. You are. Hell, you should be lucky she awakened it on Vagos…and now on you." Luisa said with a hearty laugh.
Alma was quiet. Then she started laughing…in a way that got a chill down the other family member's spines.
"You know, I'm going to be honest. Mirabel having a gift like mine isn't a bad thing. I will admit she has more restraint at that age than I did. But that makes her far more dangerous…after all…beware the wrath of a patient person." Alma said eerily with a grin. "She may just succeed in mastering it better than me. I knew the family was in good hands with her as my heiress, but this just reinforces it."
Isabela grumbled only for Alma's eyes to turn red, glaring at her asking if she wanted to fight for the position.
"No, m'am." Isabela obediently said as Alma's eyes returned to normal.

At the meetup point, Lamar looked worried asking the four what happened as all he could hear was gunshots and Mirabel screaming.
"She wasted them all on a rampage. Little Al was creeping on her sister." Riley said as Lamar chuckled.
"Well then, you did good. We can even sell the Hearses for profit seeing there's no scratch on them." Lamar said before handing out the pay. "We're breaking some major eggs here, my nigga."

As the world returned, Lamar let Naruto know when he was needed before leaving. The four split up to head home under the night sky. Riley could crash at his apartment in Paleto, Naruto had to drive back to LS with the girls. Mirabel ultimately accepted his offer…so he got her set up in the Hangman home.
"Screw it, I'm going to bed." Naruto said before going to his room.
As he plopped back on his bed, Lamar called.
"Hey man, what good?" Naruto asked.
"The deal I had worked out. Vernon's a bit less pissed with than usual…oddly enough. He is a bit sour that my op isn't handled with finesse. But thanks to Mirabel's freak out, Vagos don't have a clue who wrecked their funeral and they're blaming the Aztecas." Lamar said with a chipper tone. "So V's pleased…but he wants me to make up for that failed deal. We'll think of a way…but I got a job lined up. I'd actually prefer it if you bring one of your closer homies with you. Actually, Isaribi. Bring her. So tomorrow morning, call me and you and her are in La Mesa. Night, homie."
The marker pinged up on his mini-map, but he would deal with it tomorrow. Now was time for well deserved sleep. However, as Mirabel was settling to sleep her…she'd a text from grandmother…summoning her for a long overdue conversation.

(A/N: Surprised? Well, considering it was the 45th chapter, I had to make a big reveal. And what better than the reveal of what Maribel (and Alma's) gift was. Before you guys bring up Trevor, the ability is actually inspired from Tony Montana's BLIND RAGE power from Scarface: The World is Yours. There is a key difference between the rages. One could call Alma's a coke rage, one could call Trevor's a meth rage, but Mirabel's rage is all natural…and was building inside her for years. Her resentment, her insecurity, her pent-up anger…all coming together. Beware the nice guy indeed. There's also another feature to her awakening shared with the others…maybe I'll reveal it later. Next chapter, we're going to skip past the Lowriders mission, for something a bit wholesome, tragic, and bittersweet.)
