Normal POV
Its been three weeks since the king and queen left and everyone was beginning to worry, including Hiccup. The first week was hell for Hiccup. He had to deal with so much letters, treaties, contracts, and other kingdom business. When Elsa noticed that her boyfriend so stressed and frustrated from business with other kingdoms along with theirs, she decided to offer some assistance on the second week which made it easier for him and Elsa was glad to help him out. When the third week approached, everyone took notice that their king and queen had yet to return and Hiccup knew that something was wrong.
Right now, Hiccup was sitting in Agnarr's office waiting patiently for everyone he summoned. The people he called for was his beloved Elsa, Anna, Kai, Gerda, Mpho, Henry, and General Tobias. After about five minutes, the doors to the office were opened and he saw everyone he called for entered the room. Once he saw everyone present in the room, Hiccup started off with why he called for them. "Now you all are wondering why I called for all of you here, so I'm just gonna get straight to the point." He informed them before taking a deep breathe. "I've decided that me and Toothless are going to search for the king and queen. Alone." He finished which caused them all to gasp and exclaim in worry.
"My prince, why would want to go on your own, it might be best if you've brought a few guards with you on the search." Tobias told the prince.
"No, I need to do this on my own. Plus, I'm the best mapper that this kingdom has and Toothless is the fastest dragon so that me and him can come back quickly after the search." Hiccup informed the general before he saw the worried look on Elsa's beautiful face. "You okay Els?" He asked.
"I'm fine. I'm just worried that you might haapen to you when you're searching for them. I don't want to lose you again Hiccup." Elsa replied to her beau.
"I'll be fine Elsa. Plus, I'll have Toothless with me and he'll make sure I'm okay." Hiccup assured her. Elsa pondered at what Hiccup said for a moment and knew that he was right. Toothless is an amazing dragon and would do anything to protect his rider. Plus her parents needed to be found and Hiccup along with Toothless were the only ones fast enough to get the job done. She then sighed before nodding her head to him as he nodded back. "Everyone else?" Hiccup asked as he looked at everyone in the room, waiting for their opinion. Once everyone made their decisions, they answered by nodding at Elsa's future king. "Then it's settled." Hiccup replied to them.
"Your highness, may I ask, when will you be leaving?" Kai asked.
"Me and Toothless will leave early tomorrow morning so we can get a early start." He told everyone before he turned towards Mpho. "Mpho, do you mind looking after some things while I'm gone? I'll have general Tobias and Kai lend you a hand." He asked the former slave.
"I would be honored Hiccup. You helped me out when you rescued me, it's time that I returned the favor for you, tsala." Mpho replied to him. He often called Hiccup that because the word 'tsala' meant friend in his language and the former viking knew it was a sign of respect.
"Thank you, Mpho. I'll let everyone know that I'm putting you in charge of things with Tobias and Kai assisting you before I leave." Hiccup smiled. "Is everyone okay with that?" He asked everyone in the room who gave their answers like "of course, I'm fine with that, or yes, your highness" to him. "As you where then." He told everyone as he watched all of then except Elsa left the office.
Once everyone was out of the room, Elsa walked over to her lover and rested her gloved hand on his shoulder. "Are you sure about this?" She asked worriedly.
Hiccup finished on the letter he was dealing with and looked up to see the worried look on her beautiful face. "Look, I know you're worried Elsa but I need to do this. Your parents left three weeks ago and they were supposed to come back in two back in two weeks but they didn't. I'm worried for them. You know that." Hiccup explained to her.
Elsa knew her lover was right. Her parents were gone for too long and needed be searched. "I know. I'm worried for them too." She replied. "But I'm also worried that you might not return. I don't want you to leave." She pleaded as she looked down. Hiccup knew that his girlfriend would be afraid of losing control of her powers if he wasn't present in the kingdom and didn't want her to try following him again like last time.
"Look at me snowflake." Hiccup took her chin in his hand and made her look at him. "Like I said, I'll have Toothless with me, so I'll be fine." He assured her again. "If it'll make you feel any better, I'll ask Mpho to look after you while I'm gone." Hiccup offered. Elsa thought about it for a moment before answering.
"Okay." Elsa agreed. Mpho reminded her of Hiccup a little bit thanks to his blacksmith skills and allowed the former slave to look after her if Hiccup was not around.
"Great." Hiccup smiled at his platinum haired girlfriend. "Why don't you relax for a little bit. You know I don't like it when you're worried." He suggested as Elsa smiled.
"Well, I should say the same to you. You've been working non stop and haven't took time off." The princess told her prince.
"Sorry Elsa, but you know I can't do that. I've got a lot here to finish up." He gestured to all the remaining letters, treaties, and contracts that were scattered all over the desk. "I'll stop when I hit the hay tonight." Hiccup finished before turning his attention back on the desk. Elsa knew that her precious Hiccup was stubborn and that he wouldn't stop. But she wasn't about to give up. She walked behind the chair her boyfriend was sitting in and started dragging him away from the desk to the closed balcony doors. "Elsa, what are you...?!" Hiccup didn't finished when he felt her sitting on his lap to trap him.
"Uh uh, you are taking a break and turning your attention on me, right now." She told him before smashing her lips on his, shutting him up. Hiccup tried to protest by pushing her off but not too hard. The said ice princess caught his hands then pushed them behind the back of the chair before taking off one of her gloves and tying his hands together with rope made of ice she conjured up with around both of his wrists. The princess has been practicing control over her magic with Hiccup's help recently since Christmas Eve. Elsa then removed her other glove before cupping both his cheeks and continued kissing him as Hiccup struggled to free his hand from bondage. He was refusing to kiss her back but her lips refusing to leave his brought up enough encouragement to him, he gave up and surrendered to the ice wielding princess, returning the kiss with passion as he relaxed at the gentle coolness of her palms. Elsa proceeded to press herself closer to him and and grab the back of his head, digging her fingers within his hair to deepend the kiss.
As the two love birds were making out, the make out session was interrupted when Tobias walked in on them. Hiccup and Elsa pulled away, blushing as they saw the general with wide eyes as he did the same. "General! Uh, it's not what it looks like!" Hiccup exclaimed quickly as Elsa got off of him and quickly undid the rope on his wrists before putting her gloves back on.
"No, it's actually my fault. I should've known better then too knock." Tobias apologized quickly before pulling himself together. "Hiccup, I just wanted to inform you that we let everyone know about your departure tomorrow so that they wouldn't worry." The general informed the dragon rider who got up from his chair.
"Thank you, General. As you were." Hiccup replied to him.
Tobias bowed at the royal couple before excusing himself. "I'll uh..." He cleared his throat. "I'll let you two finish what you were doing." He said as he left, closing the door behind him. The two lovers stared at the direction Tobias walked out then turned to face each other, chuckling nervously while blushing.
"So... should we continue or...?" He didn't finish as he yelped when Elsa tackled him to the floor with her, landing on top of him. Hiccup shook his head after the impact then looked up to see his princess holding him down, flat on his back.
"Does this answer your question, love?" Elsa smirked down at him. Hiccup did his nervous but cute smile while blushing which made him look more cute and attractive to her. Elsa then lowered her lips to his as he did the same while snaking his arms around her waist. The two stayed like this for a minute before pulling their faces away to breathe. They looked into each other's eyes, seeing their love towards each other before finishing the make out session without anymore interruptions.
-Early morning, the next day-
Hiccup was silently making his way through the hallways, towards Elsa's room to check up on her before he leaves without waking anyone else up. As he got to the door to her chambers, Hiccup poked his head through the door, only to see his beautiful princess sleeping soundly before he quietly made his way over to the left side of her bed. He sat down on the edge of the bed and turned over to see Elsa sleeping on her side, facing his direction. Hiccup smiled as he used his left index finger to move a small strip of hair away from her beautiful face. This action caused a smile to form on her pale face as she slowly opened her eyes to see her precious viking prince sitting on the edge of her bed.
"Hey." Hiccup smiled softly, running his hand through her long flowing platinum silky hair that was undone.
"Hey." Elsa replied as she smiled at the man who had stolen her heart while enjoying the feeling of his hand running through her hair. Her expression changed when her eyesight shifted to the dragon riding gear attach to his outfit along with his travel equipment. Elsa pushed herself up in a sitting position as she looked confused before she suddenly remembered that Hiccup was leaving early morning today to go find her parents. "Do you have to go?" She asked with a sad look of wanting Hiccup to not leave her.
"You'll be fine Elsa." Hiccup replied with a gentle smile, removing his hand. "Like a said yesterday, I need to do this in order to find your parents." He reminded her. Elsa wanted him to stay with her, she even wanted her parents here as well but they haven't returned and the princess knew that she had to let Hiccup leave to find them which was tough for her.
"Just... be careful out there." Elsa said with a struggle before Hiccup pulled her in a passionate kiss to help ease her a bit. Elsa returned the kiss and she cupped both his cheeks as she relaxed at the warmth that emitted from her boyfriend. After it felt like a minute, the two royal couple pulled away from each other before leaning their heads foward, their foreheads touching with eyes closed while blushing.
"I'll be back, I promise." He breathed out.
"I know you will." Elsa replied gently, both looking looking at each other. "Bring them back home, love." She smiled. Hiccup smiled in return, quickly kissing her forehead before leaving as she watched him go. "Come back safe with them... my handsome prince." Elsa whispered to herself.
Hiccup's POV
After I left Elsa's room, I slowly and quietly walked my way through the hallways, down the stairs, and out into the courtyard. I then walked over to the stables and found Toothless laying on his back, asleep with his tongue out. I chuckled while crossing my arms and shaking my head at this. "Toothless." I called out, getting the dragon's attention. "Come on you useless reptile, we need to get going." I told him. Toothless rolled his eyes at me before falling back asleep. "Okay, well I guess we won't be getting any Norwegian salmon along the way then." I said out loud, causing the Night Fury to wake up instantly when I said 'Norwegian salmon. Toothless has taken a liking to the salmon and would eat a whole basket of it mixed with a couple of other fish. I also taken a liking to the fish as well, only when it's cooked because it has a good taste and delicacy to it. Toothless instantly started hopping around happily in the hay at the thought of having Norwegian salmon. "Alright, alright." I chuckled while trying to calm my dragon down. "I'll see if we can get some before we leave, but lets get you ready first." I said, getting the useless reptile to calm down but still excited as he sat down.
After a hard time of getting the saddle and the other gear on Toothless, thanks to his still wagging tail, the two of us were making our way to the docks where the fishermen were gathering the fish they caught. One of them spotted us walking over to them. "Hiccup! Toothless!" The fisherman exclaimed with a smile on his face.
"Morning Nikolai." I greeted the fisherman, known as Nikolai. Nikolai si considered to be one of the best fisherman I've ever met. When me and Toothless arrived in Arendelle, I've notice that Nikolai and the other fishermen were having problems catching fish so after the Red Death, we managed to bring a few Scauldrons to help them out. Now they've been catching more fish than ever before.
"How can I help you two heroes today?" He asked us nicely.
"I was wondering if we could take two baskets of Norwegian salmon to take with us?" I asked him.
"Where are you two heading, may I ask?" Nikolai asked us curiously.
"Where are heading out to look for king Agnarr and queen Iduna." I answered which caused the fisherman's eyes to widen.
"Oh thank heavens, I was worried that no one would send out a search party and glad that you're willing to look for them, your highness." He breathed in relief.
"We're just doing what's best for Arendelle, mostly Elsa." I replied with a smile before Nikolai went to get the salmon. After waiting for about thirty seconds, he came back with two large baskets of fish.
As I was about to pay him with Arendellian coins, he stopped me. "There's no need for that Hiccup." Nikolai rejected. I was about to ask why but he beated me to it. "Because of you bringing the Scauldrons here to help us with the fish, royal family members and their dragons get fish for free." He smiled.
My eyes widen at what he said. "Wow. Um... thanks." I thanked him before placing the two baskets down on each side of me and offered my hand to him. Nokolai looked at my hand for a moment then took it with a smile.
"Glad of doing service with you, Hiccup." He shook my hand before he went back to help continue his job.
After I watched him leave, I picked up both baskets before Toothless could bite down the one on the right. "Not now bud. We've got to get going." I told the dragon who simply glared at me for taking the fish away. "But we'll eat soon, I promise." I strapped the baskets on both sides of the saddle before checking everything. After I made sure everything was correct or intact, I climbed onto the saddle and locked my prosthetic leg into the peddle. "You ready?" I asked Toothless who snorted in reply. Before we could take off, I turned to see almost everyone consisting of the civilians, the castle staff, the guards, sailors, General Tobias, Henry, and Mpho gathering at the docks.
"Everyone! We will do our best to find and bring home the king and queen! In my absence, I am leaving Mpho in charge to watch over Arendelle!" I said loud enough for everyone to hear. "Is that clear?" I questioned them. The everyone murmured to each other before nodding in understanding. "Good, now stand." I warned them as they all stepped away giving Toothless enough room to spread his winds. "Lets go bud." I said to my dragon. Toothless launched up in the air with a roar as we headed in the direction Agnarr and Iduna sailed in.
Normal POV
Everyone began to cheer as Hiccup and Toothless left. "GO GET EM, HICCUP!" A civilian cheered.
"WE BELIEVE IN YOU, LAD!" Shouted a sailor.
After about thirty seconds of cheering, everyone then stopped and turned their attention on Mpho who was rubbing the back of his nervously as he saw everyone looking at him. "So... what's the agenda for today?" He asked looking at Kai.
"As usual like always sir." The overseer replied as the blacksmith apprentice thought for a moment
"Alright, I want you to keep me posted on princess Elsa and princess Anna in case something happens." He told Kai.
"Of course, sir." Kai nodded.
"General, I want you and your men to start patrolling around the kingdom on ground and air. Report back to me if there's any unusual activity." Mpho ordered.
"Yes, sir." Tobias saluted.
"Everyone else, return to your duties." He said to everyone as they went back at what they were doing. Once everyone was gone, Mpho then turned to Henry. "Will you be okay running the shop without me?" He asked his mentor.
"I'll be fine running it myself. Besides, we're doing this for Hiccup, if there's we can all rely upon in his absence, it's you... son." The blacksmith placed his hand on Mpho's shoulder with a smile.
Mpho was now shocked that his mentor has called him his 'son', knowing that the blacksmith's family has been treating him like one of their own. " Thank you... Ntate." Mpho returned the smile as he called Henry 'father' in tswana. Henry continued to smile as he pulled his now 'son' in a hug.
Back in Elsa's room, the princess was looking out her balcony window and watched as she spotted Hiccup and Toothless flying to the sky, heading North. "Come back with them safe, my viking prince." Elsa smiled as she held the betrothal necklace close to her chest.
-Four days later, somewhere North-
Hiccup and Toothless have been on the move for five days and after stopping at several islands to check, along with food and rest, they've finally arrived at their destination on Hiccup's map, the Dark Sea. From what Iduna said to him before they left, the Dark Sea was a massive expanse of water that is notoriously treacherous with giants waves and thunderstorms, making it impossible to cross. It was also the only way to reach Ahtohallan.
"Alright bud, let's do this with caution. We wouldn't want to be hit by lightning again like last time, right?" Hiccup told the dragon as they thought of the tail incident when they first arrived in Arendelle. The two then began to start their search, not knowing how long it would take since the Dark Sea was so big, it could take awhile for them to find Agnarr and Iduna without getting struck by lightning.
After about four hours of searching, they found nothing. Not even Toothless' echolocation ability helped. There was also no sign of the ship that departed weeks ago. It was like it vanished which was weird. As they were about to call quits, Toothless sensed something... or someone in the distance and Hiccup took notice of this. "You picking up something bud?" He asked. The Night Fury let out a screech and it echoed for a minute before it stopped. As they remained silent while waiting, Toothless' nubs began twitch like something responded back to him. "Let's find out what it is, Toothless." The prince told the dragon who then flew to the direction of the response. As the two flew closer, Toothless then spotted something which caused him to alert his rider. "What is it, bud?" Hiccup asked before he saw what the Night Fury saw but was too far to see. Once they flew closer, Hiccup gasped at what he was seeing. There was someone on top of floating wooden debris wearing an Arendellian naval captain uniform. Hiccup knew exactly who it was.
"Anton." He whispered.
Later, Hiccup and Toothless arrived on a beach of a small island far from the Black Sea with Anton who was still unconscious. Once they landed, Hiccup quickly jumped off of Toothless before pulling the unconscious captain off the saddle and setting him down on the sand gently. "Anton?" Hiccup asked but didn't get a response. "Anton?!" He asked again, a little louder but still no answer. Hiccup quickly checked his pulse and sighed in relief that the captain was still alive.
The former viking quickly went to the saddle to pull out his water canteen and poured the liquid down on Anton's face. The captain instantly woke up with a jolt and started screaming as he thrashed around. "Anton!" Hiccup exclaimed as he dropped to his knees and held Anton still to keep him from thrashing. "Anton, calm down! It's me, Hiccup!" He yelled out. Anton then became silent when he heard Hiccup yell out his name and calmed down with a frightened look on his face. "It's me." The dragon rider said softly.
Anton blinked a couple of times before focusing his attention on Hiccup. "Hiccup?" The frightened captain asked in a calm voice. Hiccup nodded his head to let the captain know that it was him. Anton then looked around at his surroundings and didn't recongnize the area he was in. "Where are we?" He asked in confusion.
"We're on a beach that is far from the Dark Sea. Toothless spotted you floating on some debris and immediatly brought you to safety." Hiccup answered. "Its been about three weeks and four days since you guys left. I'm just glad that we've found you for Thor's sake." Hiccup continued.
"I'm glad to see you again, your highness." Captain Anton responded. Hiccup smiled at the moment before getting to the point.
"Anton, what happened out there? Where's the other guards and sailors? Where's Agnarr and Iduna?" He asked quickly.
"We were caught in a bad storm when we tried to cross the Dark Sea and the waves were too strong, it capsized the ship." Anton frowned. "After I managed to climb on top of the debris, I waited to see if the others resurfaced but no one else came back up... I am the only survivor." He said with a sad look.
"You mean...?" Hiccup didn't finish as he watched Anton reached in the left pocket of his jacket and pulled out Agnarr's Maltese cross pendant and Iduna's tiara before handing them to him.
"I'm sorry, Hiccup. The king and queen are dead." Anton said in a hushed tone with sadness in his voice. Hiccup couldn't believe what he'd just heard. The king and queen were gone. The prince went up to his feet and walked away, facing the other way as he began to process the news with his head down. HIccup brought up his hand to cover his mouth before sobbing silently with his eyes shut. Agnarr and Iduna were wonderful people and had left the earth way too early. His thoughts then shifted to Elsa, Anna, Kai, Gerda, Tobias, Nikolai, Henry, and Mpho. He didn't know how to explain this to everyone, especially Elsa. He then thought of Phoenix and Viola. The two dragons would be devastated from losing their riders. After grieving in uncomfortable silence for about five minutes, Hiccup took a few deep breaths, wiping the tears from his face onto his sleeve and pulled himself together before turning to see Anton walking over to him. "Your Highness, are you alright?" The captain asked in concern when he noticed Hiccup's eyes became bloodshot from the tears.
"I'm okay captain, thank you for asking." Hiccup sniffed before looking serious. "But now's not the time to grieve or be concerned about me. Right now, we need to find an area to rest for the night so we can leave early morning tomorrow and get back to Arendelle to tell everyone of the news." Hiccup suggested.
"I agree. Did you at least bring any food?" Anton asked, hoping that Hiccup did since he was stranded at sea without any food.
"I have a basket full of fish. Will that work?" Hiccup offered.
"I'm good with that. I haven't had any since then." Anton replied with a sigh of relief.
"We should seek for shelter first." The dragon rider suggested. "Come on, bud." He told the dragon before the three of them went to find shelter. After about ten minutes, they managed to find a cave to settle in for the night. Once they were settled in, Hiccup placed sticks and small branches he collected along the way on the cave floor. "Light it up, bud." Hiccup instructed Toothless, pointing his finger at the sticks. The Night Fury shot a small plasma blast at the branches, lighting them on fire. Hiccup then pulled out the fish basket and poured some for Toothless to eat before taking one for himself and two for Anton. "Eat as much as you need, Anton. You'll need your strength." He said, handing the older man the fish.
"Thank you, Hiccup." Anton accepted the fish. As they were in the middle of eating, Hiccup placed his salmon down and took out the map from the saddle before looking over it on the floor. Anton noticed this and was curious of what Hiccup was thinking. "Something on your mind lad?" He asked.
"Just looking over to see what island we're on." Hiccup replied, his eyes not leaving the map. After thirty seconds wondering eyes and finger tracing, his eyes landed on the last island that was close to the Black Sea and pressed his index finger down on it. "There, this is where we are currently at." He informed Anton who came over to his side to see the map. "So if we leave early tomorrow early, we can stop at a few islands for rest and food quick, we can make it back to Arendelle in four days without any storms or anything else intercepting us." Hiccup explained before folding the map back up and returned it to the saddle.
"Sounds like a plan." The Arendellian sailor nodded before finishing up with his dinnier. Shortly after they had their stomachs filled, Hiccup brought out both his bedroll for himself and his spare for Anton to sleep for the night before putting the fire out. Hiccup placed his down right beside Toothess who laid down after making himself comfortable while Anton laid his down on the other side of the campfire that was right between them.
"Get a good nights rest Anton. We need to be up and early tomorrow." He reminded as they laid down.
"Thank you, Hiccup. I owe you my life." The captain replied before falling asleep. Hiccup then smiled and made himself comfortable before thinking.
'How am I going to explain this to Elsa.' He thought before sleep took over him.
-Four days later, back in Arendelle-
It has been eight days since Hiccup left and everyone in the whole kingdom knew that he still hasn't returned yet made them all anxious, including Elsa. The whole kingdom was doing well with Mpho looking after things. But there has been a couple of accidents involving the dragons. Two days after Hiccup left, there was a dragon brawl that was caused by someone found an eel and accidently threw it away, not knowing it landed on the face of a Monstrous Nightmare. The said dragon got scared before hitting a Zippleback with its tail, causing the fight. The brawl destroyed a couple houses and a few shops but luckily, no one was hurt. Three days after the dragon brawl situation, a pen holding livestock was blown up when a little boy was showing his friends how cool he looked with his Gronckle before making his dragon shoot out a lava blast, not knowing the blast destroyed the pen, causing its livestock to flee in fear. It took alot of people to help repair and catch the livestock. Mpho now knew how Hiccup felt when the dragon was looking after things before he left.
As for Elsa, she's been doing her best at keeping her powers under control but everytime her magic spiked, she would quickly think of the memories of her and Hiccup spending time together to help ease them. She was often checked by Mpho to see if she was doing okay which she thanked him for. She even kept herself isolated in her room as a safe precautions, until Hiccup returns. She couldn't risk hurting anyone again, including Anna.
Right now, Elsa was pacing around in her chambers nervously, causing frost to coat the walls of her chambers, due to her emotions. She was losing control again and it was becoming worst this time. She'd only lost control three times and this was about to be the fourth. Elsa wished that Hiccup and her parents were with her right now. She wished that Hiccup was holding her in his arms right now. He was her fire that would melt her ice. He kept her relaxed and she didn't fear with him around but with him gone, she felt just as she was years ago... scared, alone, and defenseless. Elsa then stared out the window with worry. 'Hiccup... please come back to me soon... I need you.' Elsa prayed.
As two guards were patrolling around the kingdom, one of them spotted a small dark shape in the sky coming over to them. "What is that?" He asked the other guard, pointing at the shape. As it got closer, the other guard instantly recognized who it was.
"It's the prince." The guard said with wide eyes. "Go find the general, let him know that the prince has returned." He told the other guard who just nodded before running off to report to the general.
In Agnarr's office, general Tobias and Kai were with Mpho, helping the blacksmith apprentice with kingdom issues. As they were finishing up, their attention was drawn to the sound of the doors opening and saw one of the guards standing there, breathing heavily. "What is it, soldier?" The general asked.
"The prince has returned." The guard breathed out. This caused the three to go wide eyed at the news, learning that Hiccup has finally returned.
"Inform the princesses, immediatly." Tobias ordered Kai before he and Mpho rushed out into the hallway.
"Yes, general." Kai shouted before rushing to inform the princesses.
As Elsa was reading through her lessons to help past the time, she was interrupted when the sound of knocking at her door. "Who is it?" She asked.
"It's me, your highness. I just want to inform you that Prince Hiccup has returned." Kai answered. Elsa's emotions suddenly lit up when she heard that Hiccup was back and was so happy that she couldn't wait to have him in her arms. But was also happy that she would see her parents again. "Thank you, Kai. As you were." She replied. Once she waited for her advisor to leave, Elsa then began silently screaming in joy with a huge smile on her face but calmed down so she can look formal in public. Before she could do anything else, Elsa tidied herself quickly and made sure that she was wearing her betrothal necklace before leaving her chambers.
Once Toothless landed in the courtyard, Hiccup hopped off the saddle before helping Anton off. They were then approached by Tobias, Mpho, and two servants. "Hiccup!" Tobias called out before spotting Anton next to the dragon rider. "Captain Anton?" He questioned.
"Get him to the infirmary. Make sure he's well taken care of." Hiccup exclaimed.
"You heard the prince, get captain Anton some treatment, immediatly!" The general ordered the servants.
"Yes, general." One of them said before the both of them led Anton to the infirmary. Once they were out of sight, Mpho then turned to face the dragon rider.
"Hiccup, what happened out there? Did you at least find the king and queen?" He questioned. Before Hiccup could reply, they were interrupted when the sound of shouting was heard and turned to see Elsa dashing towards them.
"HICCUP!" Elsa yelled before enveloping Hiccup in a tight hug. After the hug broken, she then grabbed his head to lock her lips with his in a long deep passionate kiss without pulling back. Hiccup was surprised by this becasue he did not expect his girlfriend to be missing him that much. After about a minute of keeping his lips tightly on hers without letting go, Elsa then pulled back with blushing cheeks before hugging him again with her head up against his chin. "I've missed you." She smiled.
"Eh... I missed you too." He hugged her back and nervously smiled before frowning, afraid to see that happy and loving look disappear on her face when he tells her about her parents. Once Elsa broke the hug and looked up to see the sad look on the face of her beau, she was about ask what was wrong but then noticed that she didn't see her parents in sight.
"Hiccup, where are my parents?" She asked with a concerned look. Hiccup was afraid of this. Before he could tell her anything, he then turned to Mpho and Tobias.
"Would you guys give us a few minutes?" He told them before they left, leaving the prince and princess alone. Hiccup then turned to face Elsa again.
"Hiccup, what's going on? Where are my parents?" She asked again. Hiccup began to tear up.
"I'm sorry Elsa." He shook his head. Elsa then watched him reached into his pocket and pulled out something that caused her to gasp, her father's Maltese cross pendant and her mother's tiara. Hiccup then handed her the items before she stared at them with tears.
"Hey guys!" They turned to see a happy Anna who then frowned at the looks on their faces. "What's going on?" Anna questioned as she saw the tears in their eyes before gasping when she saw the items in her sister's hands. "No..." She breathed out before tearing up as well. Elsa then dropped to hers knees and started sobbing. Anna, who was sobbing as well, went over to hug her sister before Hiccup pulled them in his arms to give them comfort.
-The next day-
The whole kingdom was grieving for the passing of the king and queen as a ceremony was being held for them. Everyone in the kingdom attend the funeral and Hiccup, along with Anna, stood by the two large headstones while the bishop was delivering a speech to everyone so they could remember the two rulers. The only one who couldn't attend was Elsa since she couldn't bring herself to lose control and be more upset since it would not be a good mix for her powers, even if Hiccup was here. Elsa remained in her in her room the whole time, crying while wishing that it was not true.
After the funeral was finished, Anna, who was wearing a black ceremonial outfit, was making her way to her sister's door while Hiccup went to the stables to be with Toothless so he could be comforted while grieving. Anna knocked on Elsa's door before speaking. "Elsa..." She said softly. "Please, I know you're in there. People are asking where you've been... They say 'Have courage' and I'm trying to, I'm right out here for you... Just let me in. We only have each other... It's just you and me... What are we gonna do?..." Anna sang lightly as she slide her back down against the door with her head laying against the wood. "...Do you want to build a snowman?..." She sang softly before stopping as Elsa, who was listening while sitting up against the other side of her door, bit back as she closed her eyes and cried more. Her whole entire room, completely covered in ice with snowflakes freezing in mid air.
After Anna had left, Hiccup, who was also wearing a black ceremonial outfit, was making his way to Elsa's room to check on her. Once he made it in front of her door, he lightly knocked before speaking. "Elsa?" He called out softly. "Its me, Hiccup. Let me in." He said lightly. Hiccup waited for her to open the door before hearing the sound of the knob turning. Elsa opened her door, only to Hiccup with bloodshot eyes from crying so much. He quickly made his way inside before shutting the door and pulled his girlfriend into his arms. He felt the cold temperature and quickly glanced around her room to see ice everywhere but wanted to focus on giving her comfort while letting her cry on his shoulder's.
"I miss them, Hiccup. I miss them so much." Elsa sobbed as she remained in her boyfriends arms.
"I know. I do too." He replied as they both sat down on the floor, not letting go. Hiccup felt like he failed. For the first time since before he left Berk, he felt like he failed. Failed Arendelle, Anna, Agnarr and Iduna, and most importantly, Elsa. If he had left sooner to find them, they would still be here. But now that were gone, he wouldn't be able to ask for their blessings. Agnarr and Iduna had called him their son and he didn't get the chance to call them mom or dad which made him felt. "I'm so sorry, Elsa." He apologized before hugging her tighter to give her all the confort that she needed from him.
Author's Note: Hey guys, I know said I would get this chapter done between early and middle March but I was having trouble on how to write out this chapter, along with the idea that Jake came up with, along with my own. So I hope you guys like it and I did the best I could on it. Plus I'm have been really busy collecting studio series Transformers alot so it's one of the reasons why I was falling behind.
Anyway, if you're all wondering I'm gonna do for the next chapter. I'm gonna use the idea that Mewx42 came up with along with something else. So yeah, I hope you all like the chapter and Jake, want to say thank you for the idea you came up with. You are one of the ones that I consider a good helper. I hope you guys are doing okay. Stay safe out there.
