Standing in silence, Kendall, James, and Carlos let out heavy sighs as they contemplate Logan's anger towards them.

"Everything will work out, boys. Logan won't stay upset forever," reassures Ms. Knight.

"Mom, you're lucky to have your own room. Logan is going to be a tough roommate in this mood," Kendall laments.

"You'll handle it, Kendall. He's not that thrilled to share a room with you even on a good day," Ms. Knight replies.

"I do my best to be there for him," Kendall says.

"I know, and I'm proud of you. Logan's frustration is coming from his injury. He just wants to get better," explains Ms. Knight, acknowledging Kendall's efforts and reassuring him that Logan's feelings are not personal.

"Mama Knight this secret for Logan is like a heavy stone in my gut, weighing me down. I hate keeping things from him, even if it's meant to be a surprise. I just can't stand to see him upset. It'll only add to his worries while he's recovering. Carlos confides.

"I understand, my dear. It'll all work out in the end. I love how much joy you both bring each other, it's a beautiful thing." Ms. Knight comforts him, rubbing his back gently.

"Thank you, Mama Knight." Carlos sighs, finding some peace in her words as he hugs her.

"You're welcome," Ms. Knight replies. "Are you boys ready to call it a night?"

"Yes, I'm exhausted. Gotta keep this handsome face in top shape," James boasts.

Carlos and Kendall exchange amused glances at James' vanity.

As Kendall enters the bedroom he and Logan share, he notices the small brunette already in bed engrossed in a magazine for math enthusiasts.

"Hey there, all settled in? Need anything before I hit the hay?" the tall blonde inquires as he climbs into his own bed.

"Nah, I'm good," Logan replies with a halfhearted sigh.

"Alright then," Kendall responds, grabbing his tablet and tuning into YouTube for some hockey game coverage of his favorite team.

The volume from the video annoys Logan, who abruptly snaps at the disturbance of his peaceful atmosphere.

"TURN DOWN THAT STUPID VIDEO!"

Startled and apologetic, Kendall looks at him. "I'm really sorry, Logan. I should've used my headphones. You have every right to be upset about me being inconsiderate of your need for relaxation and a good night's sleep. I'll just crash on the couch." He gathers his things and heads towards the door.

"Wait!" Logan calls out. "I shouldn't have snapped at you like that. It was immature and mean. I'm sorry. Please stay. I don't want you to feel like you're being kicked out. I love having you as a roommate."

"Thanks, Logan. I appreciate that," Kendall replies, climbing back into his own bed. "I'll make sure to use my headphones this time. I know we have school tomorrow, and I shouldn't keep you up."

Logan smiles gratefully, feeling a wave of relief wash over him. He had been worried that his outburst would strain their friendship, but Kendall's understanding and willingness to make amends reassures him.

As Kendall settles back into bed, he turns off the volume on his tablet and plugs in his headphones. He resumes watching the hockey game coverage, this time ensuring that his enjoyment doesn't disturb Logan's peace. The room falls into a comfortable silence, with only the faint sound of Kendall's commentary and the occasional rustling of pages from Logan's magazine.

After a few minutes, Logan puts down his magazine and turns off the bedside lamp. The room is now dimly lit, creating a cozy atmosphere that invites relaxation. Kendall notices Logan's movement and follows suit, turning off his own lamp. The only source of light now is the soft glow from the streetlamp outside, casting a gentle shadow over the room.

As they both lie in bed, Kendall can't help but reflect on their friendship. They had been roommates for a few months now, and despite occasional disagreements, they had developed a strong bond. Kendall admired Logan's intelligence and dedication to his studies, while Logan appreciated Kendall's easygoing nature and ability to make him laugh.

In the quiet darkness, Kendall's thoughts drift to the future. He wonders what adventures and challenges lie ahead for both of them. They were nearing the end of their high school journey, and soon they would be embarking on separate paths. Kendall hopes that their friendship will endure, even if they end up in different colleges or pursue different careers.

Lost in his thoughts, Kendall is startled when Logan breaks the silence. "Hey, Kendall?"

"Yeah?" Kendall responds, turning his head towards Logan.

"I just wanted to say... I'm glad we're friends. You've made this whole roommate thing a lot easier for me," Logan admits, his voice filled with sincerity.

Kendall smiles, grateful for Logan's words. "I feel the same way, Logan. You're not just a roommate to me, you're a true friend. I'm glad we ended up sharing this bedroom."

With those words, a sense of warmth and contentment fills the room. Kendall and Logan drift off to sleep, knowing that their friendship is strong enough to weather any storm. As they dream, they both silently hope that their bond will continue to grow, even as they navigate the uncertainties of the future.
