Logan suggests, "We need to find something that will motivate Sammy to come out of the car."
Delaney responds, "I've discovered that the best way to motivate him is to be patient and kind. He has specific interests that he's fixated on. So maybe if we talk about his favorite things, he'll come out of the car."
Curious, Carlos asks, "What does he like?"
"He's into typical boy stuff like cars, video games, and most importantly, dinosaurs," Delaney explains. "He talks about dinosaurs all the time. He even wishes he could meet one."
Carlos replies, "That's cool. If dinosaurs weren't extinct, I wouldn't mind meeting one."
Katie adds, "I wouldn't mind riding one."
Hearing this conversation, Steven opens the car window. He's intrigued by Carlos and Katie, sensing their kindness. Slowly, he opens the door and steps out.
"Hi Sammy! I'm glad you came out of the car. My name is Katie," she greets him warmly.
"Hi Katie," Sammy shyly responds.
"Is that a Pokemon you're holding? It looks like Charmander," Katie observes, noticing the stuffed animal in Sammy's hands.
"Charmander is my favorite Pokemon. Do you like the series?" Sammy asks, feeling more confident and comfortable talking to Katie because of her kindness.
"Yeah, I love Pokemon too, but my favorite is Jigglypuff. I love any Pokemon that's really cute," Katie shares.
