"That's awesome, Sammy," Logan exclaims.

"I struggle in social settings too, and one reason is because of my prosthetic arm," Sammy admits. "Kids at my school make fun of me and call me a dorky droid."

"I actually think your prosthetic arm looks really cool," Katie reassures Sammy. "You just have to ignore those mean kids."

"I try to ignore them, but when I don't react the way they want me to, they become even meaner," Sammy explains. "Whenever I tell the teachers about the bullying, those students act innocent and pretend to be sorry. And the teachers believe them more than me. One teacher, Mr. Johnson, even told me that if I were more confident, I could stand up for myself. He basically called me a wimp."

"Wasn't it Mr. Johnson, your social studies teacher, who said that?" Delaney asks.

"Yes, it was," Sammy confirms.

"Dad gave him a piece of his mind for being so rude to you," Delaney reveals. "He told Mr. Johnson that he should be ashamed of himself for shaming a bullying victim who struggles to defend themselves."

"Ever since that talk, Mr. Johnson has been extra nice to me," Sammy says. "Just to scare him, I remind him that my dad can have an even stronger conversation with him if he ever mistreats me again."

"That's a smart move because teachers are supposed to help students protect themselves from bullying," Katie comments. "I wouldn't trust Mr. Johnson either. He might end up repeating his behavior and getting fired."

"I don't trust him either, but as long as he doesn't shame me again for being bullied, we'll be on good terms," Sammy concludes.
