They all gravitate towards the indoor pool.
"Wow, this aquatic expanse rivals that of an Olympic-sized marvel," Katie remarks.
"Overwhelmingly vast," Sammy murmurs, seeking solace by clinging to Delaney's arm.
"It's alright, Sammy. I shall remain by your side in the shallows. I give you my word," Delaney assures her younger sibling.
"Katie, would you also join us in the shallows? Please?" Sammy implores.
"Of course. I would do anything for my newfound companion," Katie responds with a soothing smile.
"Your kindness towards me is truly appreciated. Such gestures are rare among my peers at school. Perhaps, having friends like you, who are not part of my school, is a blessing in disguise," Sammy reflects.
"Individuals who exhibit baseless cruelty are often a product of inadequate guidance. It speaks volumes about their upbringing," Katie remarks.
The group eagerly dons their swimwear, ready for a day of fun in the sun.
"Logan, are you sure you don't want to join us in the pool?" Camille inquires.
Logan sadly shakes his head, his injured shoulder wrapped in a sling. "I wish I could, but I have to take it easy to let my shoulder heal properly. No daring backflips for me today."
Camille sympathizes with him, offering a comforting smile.
"It's alright, I'll find something else to keep myself occupied," Logan reassures them.
Before he can finish his sentence, Carlos makes a sudden and reckless cannonball into the pool, soaking Logan in the process. Exasperated, Logan gives him an annoyed look while trying to maintain his composure.
"Oops, my bad, Logie! Are you okay?" Carlos apologizes, concern evident in his voice.
"I'm good. All I want to do is delve into my sudoku puzzles," Logan remarks as he carefully dries himself to avoid damaging his beloved sudoku book. Taking a seat at a table situated a short distance from the pool, he immerses himself in the challenging puzzles.
"Do you want me to stick around here with you?" Camille queries.
"Absolutely not. I wouldn't dream of ruining your enjoyment of that amazing pool. Plus, I need you to lend a hand to Sammy with his fear of water. Be a good friend to him. He and Katie really seem to have hit it off, and having more friends could significantly boost his confidence," Logan explains.
"Okay, you're right. I'll go assist him," Camille decides before making her way towards the pool.
