"Thank you, Sammy. Let's make our way down to the pool together," Katie says softly, taking his hand and leading him toward the steps.

Upon reaching the water, they both recoil at its chilly touch and cautiously ease themselves in to acclimate to the temperature.

"The initial shock of the cold water is always the worst part of swimming," Sammy remarks.

"I know, it's so frustrating," Katie agrees.

"How are you feeling, Sammy?" Camille inquires.

"I'm okay as long as I can feel the pool floor beneath my feet, but there's something oddly calming about floating in the water without touching the bottom. It's a strange mix of feelings," Sammy replies.

"I understand your perspective, Sammy," Camille acknowledges.

"Perhaps you should attempt to lie on your back in the water," Delaney proposes.

Expressing his reluctance, Sammy shakes his head, "Absolutely not! I believe I will sink!"

"I assure you that I will ensure your safety. You have faith in me, correct?" Delaney reassures.

"Without a doubt. You are my remarkable older sister," Sammy acknowledges.

"Alright, let me assist you. Elevate your feet and recline. I will support you. I guarantee I will not release you," Delaney explains.

Sammy hesitantly follows the guidance but remains anxious about sinking, leading him to start moving frantically.

"Stay calm, Sammy. Everything is fine. I am here for you. Everything will be fine," Delaney says in a gentle, soothing manner.

Her consoling words calm him enough to unwind and float comfortably on his back. "Thank you, Delaney," Sammy expresses.

"You're welcome," Delaney responds.

Kendall, James, and Carlos were leisurely tossing an inflatable beach ball to each other from the deep end of the pool, observing the unfolding events.

"Is everything in order on your end?" inquires Kendall.

"Indeed, I was able to soothe Sammy," Delaney responds.

"Marvelous," James remarks.

"Well done," Carlos adds.

After an hour, Sammy shifts his position back to standing in the water.

"Shall we venture closer to the deeper end?" Delaney inquires.

"I feel more comfortable with added safety measures. A flotation device would provide me with both comfort and security," Sammy replies.

"We may not have floatation devices, but we do have life jackets," Logan offers.

"We didn't bring many pool toys for this outing. I wish we had," James laments.

"That's all right. A life jacket will suffice for Sammy," Delaney reassures.

"I'll fetch one," Camille volunteers. She retrieves a life jacket from a nearby bin and helps Sammy put it on.

"Thank you, Camille," Sammy expresses his gratitude.

"You're welcome," Camille replies with a warm smile.
