Vale, a mighty kingdom standing amid it's natural defenses and national guard, known for so many aspects among the civilizations of Remnant. But like other Kingdoms, it too has a share of dark patches and troublesome rot…
One such rot walks within the dark alleys, sporting a white suit lined with red over black clothing. His visage was of cocksure authority, strutting with pomp and arrogance with his cane while suited men walk behind him. The henchmen are all wearing black and red to show threat to the passing by civilians as they emerge from the shadows to the street light and the shattered moonlight above.
On they walked as the remainder of the citizens scattered within the night, the thugs themselves set their eyes on a lit store… 'From Dust Till Dawn.' was it's name, and with a dynamic entry, weapons were pointed.
The one with the bowler hat and the white suit pointed his cane at an old shopkeeper while a henchman hopped over the counter. "Now now, old man. We wouldn't want to trigger silent alarms now, would we?"
The shopkeeper opened up the cash register before backing away and raising his hands. "Oh no no no no! We're not here for the money…" Said the foxy man before whistling a few of the henchmen to go to the colored pipes, getting canisters to draw out the dust within them. "We're here to get our hands on the… Score, against that dust company. Their security's so cheap it's like they're begging to be… Well… Repossessed!"
The ginger leans on the counter, smiling with satisfaction as he could hear the dust transferred into several canisters, pawing onto one of the crystals and looking close to it. "Oh the things we can do with such things… So many ways to cause chaos-"
"Ah~! So many cool weapons are being shown this week! The Classics, The Modern, even the zany combos looks so amazing!" A girl's voice was heard from a distant corner of the store away from the clerk counter, Orange hair glanced to one of the henchmen, signaling to go to whoever that voice belonged to, all the while he himself just touches the canisters… And in turn that touch causes said canisters to disintegrate and enter some sort of a portal on his hand.
Meanwhile the henchman walked past a few aisles, seeing a large red cloak with a few happy hums of a girl, bobbing and leaning in a sing-song manner. The man approached immediately, calling out "Hey brat, hands in the air!" Only for him to be ignored by the cheery girl.
"Ah! So many points of reference for my baby to upgrade!" The girl in red spoke again before the henchman got annoyed and grabbed the girl by her shoulder, turning her around and causing her hood to fall off her head. Revealing a head of deep, dark red hair with red highlights on the edges of her bangs. Her visage is pale and close to snow while her eyes were gray like iron looking at him while her ears are covered with a red headset. The henchman pointed to his ears which prompted the girl to take off the headset. Saying "Can I help you, mister?"
"Are you so stupid as to not notice what's going on here?" The henchman said, followed by the girl blinking twice and looking around, and then… Softly smiling.
"I see what's going on…"
Blurry Start
Within a lone hotel room, the sound of a shower finally turning off paired with rustling of clothing, Inigo finally exits the Shower room with his clothes soaking up the water from his body until lines of gold light trail on his body… His Aura lights up and drying both himself and clothes as he sits down on the soft bed, slightly sinking from it's softness as he looks to the tattered coat and tool belt laying on a chair near him.
The boy holds his hand up to his Shades and Beanie… Shaking as hesitation sets in, feeling as though his body seized on approach, hearing voices begin to echo until… A knock is head from the door, causing the boy to stop and snap his covered gaze to the door, slowly standing up and approaching the entrance to his hotel room. Unlocking it and Opening up… To see a Blond, dignified woman, standing at the height of 6'5'' stood, looking at at him through the slight gap in opening. One which he recognizes… Sort of…
The woman adjusts her glasses, looking at the boy before speaking. "Are you Inigo Mach?" that question slightly eased The boxer, causing him to open the door up a bit more.
"Yeah… And you're… Professor Goodwitch, r-right? One of the main professors at Beacon, right?" The boy asks after answering, feeling tense as her stern expression is unwavering.
"Indeed, it's as the headmaster said, you're quite the erudite despite your absences at Alsius's classes." Inigo further opens the door as Goodwitch says that, letting herself in to see that the room was barely even used by him, aside from the bathroom which might have been just for showering and hygiene purposes. Then she eyes Inigo and the coat on the chair, a slight twitch appears on her face before looking at The boy. "And from what I'm seeing… You might need a new wardrobe."
The boxer was tense… But the tension alleviated into confusion as he tilted his head, saying "Pardon...?"
"Come along now." The professor says, prompting Inigo to scramble and put on his tool belt and coat while Goodwitch walks out of the room with the boy in tow after he closed and locked the door with his key. Going out to the streets of Vale at night a light chill causes the boy to twitch a bit as he looks at the professor, his confusion stacking up with each step outside.
"Professor, I know it's not my position to ask this, but why are we going out to shop for clothes so late at night?" The boxer says, trying to keep up with Goodwitch as he adjusts his coat.
"Because I doubt a single set of clothing should be enough. For one to have such an opportunity of a lifetime, they should be more… Presentable." She says, adjusting her glasses again while Inigo kept following "And I already know of some places that function around the clock for convenience sake." Thus says the professor, causing Inigo to slow his pace and look down, this time it was hesitation seizing at his legs as his limited expression shows worry.
"But… Why? It's not really worth to waste such good clothes… On me…" Said the boy, only to hear the clatter of heels stop in it's tracks, followed by a light scrape, prompting inigo to look up and see Goodwitch looking at him. Despite the stern expression, he glances a strong ring of rhythm around her, and a hint of compassion.
"Look. I may not know your circumstances before arriving to this Kingdom. But I won't tolerate you wandering with just worn out clothing on your body. Whatever you went through in Atlas shouldn't repeat here." The Professor says, placing a hand on Inigo's right shoulder with a light grip. "It would be inhumane of us at Beacon."
The Boxer looked on to The Professor, despite the shades covering the top half, it's noticeable that there's a chink in those dark emotions… But it was shortly cut as his expression shifted with a tilt, prompting the boy to step away from Goodwitch and step off to the road, looking down the street with a more focused visage.
"What's wrong, Mr. Mach?" She asks before hearing a crash in the distance behind her. Turning around and then looking at the boy again.
"Call the police! There's trouble going on!" He says before sprinting off, bringing out his Aura again. Leaving the blonde alone as worry set on her visage, but with an adjustment of her glasses and a press on a transparent device, she sends a signal for the street authorities, and with a tap from her heeled boot, out pops a riding crop, forming from a simple cylinder. She sighs to the boy's charging.
"Despite the bravery, it can't be left unsupervised…"
Out of the store and onto the streets strewn with rose petals, little red hood picked up a compact sniper rifle looking device, letting it unfold into a whole sniper-scythe before she flips the whole blade to the front, slamming the front tip into the asphalt, stabbing into it while she pressed a button on the headset to turn it off.
"Neat trick and semblance you got there, Little Red. A little bit more flair and you could've fooled me that you're a Hunter. But sadly for you, you're not." The Orange haired man snapped his gloved fingers, siccing his henchmen at a teenage girl, with her countering with high-caliber acrobatics by using her Scythe to shift her weight around it and attack back. "Oh come on, it's just a kid, not even a hunter-in-training, PICK UP THE SLACK!"
Four more henchmen tried getting at the girl from a blind spot… Only for a golden bolt to hit one of them with a sucker punch and a kick that ricochet them to the ground. Causing the red girl to look back and then to the now bent lamp at the corner, seeing a boy standing up on it, using the stoplight as leverage while the lamp flickers because of the bend, glowing with an orange-ish yellow glow emanated from his body. [Who's that guy?] The girl thought to herself as though eternity passed by her in an instant.
"Of all the things, another kid with boots too big to fill…" The orange haired Thief says, waving away at the boy above. "How about you scram before you sprain an ankle or something. Probably hire yourself a nutritionist while you're at it. You look horrible."
"You…" The boy uttered, slight venom poured from him as he balled his hands into fists.
The Thief looked around before pointing at himself. "Me?" The girl in red shares this confusion.
"Murderer…" The mystery guy spoke, causing the girl to gasp in surprise while looking at the Orange haired man, the man looked back to her with a shake of his head and a frown.
"Murderer? Now that's something new, pretty sure I leave that little title to someone else but uh… Eh?" The Thief shrugged with a foxy grin before speaking again. "Maybe I've killed someone, are you per chance some relative I missed in some heist?" The man then kicks up his cane, bringing the crosshair up again. "Not like that matters anyway."
Orange hair soon fires on Red, only for the Boy to jump down by pushing off the Lamp post, further bending it to a near break as he brings out bangles with skull ornaments to smack the shot away, letting it explode like a firework in a different direction. The boxer took a glance back at the girl only to see her eyes sparkle before she shakes her head and refocuses. "Look out!" Red said, causing the boy to look forward and see Henchmen rise back up to fight again.
The eyes on the skulls light up, the fragments on the jacket rise off the cloth and around the fists, dashing in with an uppercut, followed by a roll into a scissor kick between the two other henchmen before spinning into a windmill. Knocking the lot of them into each other for premature knockouts.
"Oh for fuck's sake, it's just TWO KIDS for crying out loud!" The man rants, sighs and then aims his Explosive cane. "So much for keeping my hands clean this time…" He shifts his aim, firing at Red cloak, only for the boy to take a hit with an explosion.
Smoke covers the area but the boy waved it out of the way, taking a glance before snapping his gaze to where the thief is, nearing the rooftops from a fire escape and rapidly widening the gap.
"TORCHWICK!" The boxer bellowed out in virile anger. "GET BACK HERE YOU WALKING TRASH BAG!" He then runs after the Thief, now having the name of Torchwick, outputting on his dead sprint.
"Hey!" Red yelled out, trying to reach out stop the boy too late. She looks shopkeeper who got out. "Will you be okay on your own?" She asks, seeing the old man nod gave her a clear signal, and she follows along, firing down to launch herself up the fire escape while the boy kept sprinting down.
"What in the world is that Mystery Guy?"
Inigo kept sprinting down the street, keeping tabs on Torchwick, The Roman Torchwick from his own memories that sprang up screaming for vengeance in his mind. Keeping up the chase as his output gave him the strength to speed up, going to run up the wall in a diagonal angle using the windows as leverage to Jump up to the rooftops, catching up to the suited Thief.
The orange haired man clicked his tongue. Looking back to Inigo who finally caught up with a sliding land. "You're a persistent little tick, aren't you? Although… You are slightly familiar…" Roman says, chuckling before he pulls out a red dust crystal from a portal in his hand, he activated his semblance. "Still, this is gonna be a little parting gift between the both of us."
As soon as The Thief said that, an Airship rose up from the alleyway, the force of the jets pushes the boy back slightly, inching near the edge of the rooftop. He looks forth seeing Torchwick throw that crystal to shoot for an explosive reaction… Only for that crystal to be shot aside by the red cloaked girl landing on time with smoke billowing from her scythe, The boxer figured that it was transformed into that rifle form.
Before Inigo could even speak, the red girl asks. "Are you okay, Mystery Guy?" Said question causes the amateur boxer to flinch from that and look at her.
[Mystery Guy?!] The boxer could only center himself and then speak after a soft ahem "I'm fine, whoever's piloting that, we need to keep them from taking off. We need to stall-" He heard a twang and in a split second he caught something with his hand, inches from The Dark-redhead's face, a glass arrow, to which he looked on to the airship, breaking the arrow in half. "I'll keep their attention to me, you can take potshots."
"Aye aye, Beanie!" The girl salutes to Inigo, causing him to flinch some more before taking front batting away a shot from Torchwick as he takes up guard while the little reaper uses his guard point as a way to fire back at The unknown assailant and The thief in the Bullhead's cabin.
The two were firing, keeping the aircraft unstable with each high-caliber shot that girl fired, causing Roman to bob around with the unknown archer in the shadows of the cabin, scrambling towards the cockpit as Inigo fired this time, knocking himself back from the recoil of the fragments' gun pieces, tumbling back before catching another arrow nearing his glossy shades, so close to his eye it becomes… Slightly unnerving.
This would've been the pattern of the stall… But… Large steps are heard within the bullhead, an eerie red glow walks in the shadows of the Bullhead… And then chains lash out from the dark shooting towards the frontliner, getting a large dosage of goosebumps from the long links and then starting to put effort into a Dempsey roll, putting on an attempt to evade gaining a better glance at the chains.
The Projectiles are burning and barbed, with heat emanating to a terrifying degree with each evade. In a mere instant a link grazed by him, only for the nerves to scream like mad. Telling him to continue dodging… Or die in agony and the roll is gaining diminishing results. And so he ducked, dipped, dived and dodged out of the way of the chains, as if being hounded by these lashes of pure metal. But what Inigo didn't account for, was the change in direction those chains took, flying directly at the girl in red.
So with a bend at the back and a grab at the rooftop's pavement, he pulls himself towards the girl, scrambling to get in front of Red reaper, getting hit and bound by the chains.
So the links lift the boy, sizzling can be heard as the Aura around the bound parts is flickering like mad, burning from the immolated chains. Screaming out in agony as he couldn't even free himself.
"Mystery Guy!" Little red shouts, looking to the chains as her scythe transforms from it's rifle form, putting weight on the down swing to cut down the links, freeing the boy by breaking the binding… Despite causing him to fall flat. But that wasn't the end of the attacks, the chains still kept going as she swings her mighty weapon around her gunfire as her propellant. Keeping a hold between the lashes and the boy… All before a stray sneaks past her defense… And onto a violet streak.
"Oh great, we got a HUNTER too!" Torchwick shouted from behind the cockpit, audible enough to be heard through the jets of the bullhead Vtol, The boxer raises his head to see that Goodwitch has arrived at the scene.
"You two, we are going to have a conversation about this… But for now, thank you for stalling against these miscreants!" And with a crack of the riding crop, a wave of violet surged from her, grabbing at the broken chains with some kind of telekinetic power, and hurling said shards as their own form of bullets to break more, gain ground against the criminals in front of her with RedCloak firing at the archer.
From all the commotion, Inigo started getting up, his Aura flickering in the affected Areas as he gets to one Knee, coughing a bit before looking at the scene unfolding. At this point it's a stalemate, looking to the fragments around his right hand, seeing their pointed ends vibrate and aim at his hand. Which in turn… He let them stab into it, causing violent Arcs of Violet lightning to spring from his arm, tearing at the glove and sleeve of his coat… But damn that! He charged ahead, clutching his right with his left hand before leaping.
"Violent Arte: OVERTURE!"
"We couldn't thank you enough with the closing cleanup, Fenrich." A person with a Dog's head says, shaking the Wolf's hand in appreciation. "We were a bit tardy on the closing schedule there, so thank you for passing by at this time of night."
"It's the least I could do, friend." Fenrich says, patting the person on the shoulder and smiling softly. "Anyone could really do it, not just me."
"Well, you wouldn't really see good samaritans that often with how we are…" A person with a feathery tail says, a little flick with the tail while their expression was a little sarcastic.
"I wouldn't worry about that too much. And besides-" The wolf says, only to be interrupted by a distant blast. His ears shifted to the source, casting his gaze while a frown appears on his visage. "Lock up tight… Something might've happened at Old man's branch store…"
Seeing that expression, the two people nodded with shock on their faces, but reluctant understanding as they fully close up shop with Fenrich sprinting off towards the source, running up the street and finding several police vehicles and a smashed up front window on the store.
"Good grief, what happened here?!" The wolf asks as he approaches the police, one of them stopping him right at a distance from the tape line.
"I'm gonna have to stop your right there, can't have you contaminate the crime scene with fur scraps." One of the police officers said keeping a hand out to keep Fenrich away.
"Leslie!" Another cop butted in and reprimanded the first one. "Sorry, he may be out of line but until we can get the forensics here, we'll need you to keep a distance."
"It's fine officer, can I at least talk to Old man Wok? I need to know he's okay at the very least." The swordsman says looking to the old man, who waves and nods "Good, if it's not too much for you, can I order a beef bowl at your cart?" Fenrich asks and the old man gives an 'Okay' sign as in confrimation. "Awesome!" The wolf says, returning the 'Okay' sign with a thumbs up.
His ear then twitched, looking to the side and raising a brow as he sees one of the Beacon staff with two kids in tow, both of them at an equal height. The three of them taking a patrol car down towards the station, tilting his head with creased brows.
"Now who are those two?"
Meanwhile, at a different street in the northern district, a blonde rider takes a stop at a suburb, looking around as she took off her helmet. Lowering her goggles to her neck as she shakes her head to loosen her hair.
With Lilac eyes she takes a look around while patting her bike with big grin. "Good girl." She says as she leans back from her joyride, then her expression turns to disappointment as she feels a vibration in her pocket, so she pulls the item, a phone out from the pocket of her sporty shorts. Accepting the call and putting it to her ear.
"Y'ello? Yeah, that's me… SHE'S WHAT?!" She replied with a shout before losing balance and falling the bike. "Oh nononononoNO! I'm so sorry, Bee!" She brings the phone back to her ear as she says that, placing it between her head and right shoulder. "I'll be at the station real soon!" She then ends the call, pocketing her phone as she checks for any external damage… Fortunately, there wasn't. However…
"At least you're not dented or I'd drive myself up a wall for this fuck up…" She says, rearranging it before getting to rev it… And there in lies the problem, the internals might have problems. "Oooooh, Damnit… Come on, girl.. I can get you to the nearest mechanic but you gotta wake up!" She begins to rev and turn on the engine key, trying to wake it.
"Come on… Is the carburetor flooded? I need to get to the station, Bumblebee!" Blondie kept on revving at the bike until…
Bam
BAM
KA-BOOOM!
A blast was heard behind her, spooking the living daylights out of the girl. She looks back to see a guy in a jacket and jeans, wearing flip-flops and holding a shield that had a smoldering compartment open with 'Μαθαίνω' glowing on the rim. The shielder's visage was neutral before going into a smirk with his head tilting to his right.
"Hey Sunshine… Try revving it some more, maybe the Vacuans can hear it from here." The guy says before resting the shield on his back.
"Oh ha ha, big boy. Where did you even come from." Blondie asks, and he nonchalantly points to the house on her left.
"My sister and I live there, you're practically disturbing the neighborhood because your internals are quacked, right-" The Shielder says before the front door opened by force on the house and a redheaded girl came out rushing in pajamas, a spear and a shield.
"ALEX WHAT HAPPENED?! Was there an attack?!" The girl says, which led to Blondie recognizing her.
"Pyrrha Nikos?" She says, then looking at the guy who was nonplussed. "You're Nikos' Brother?"
"Yeah, I'm the Trophy girl's Brother." His voice sounded sarcastic as he looks to Pyrrha, slightly miffed while waving her off. "False alarm, Just had to stop a girl from recklessly revving her bike to scrap!"
"Oh… Be sure to go to sleep on time then." The Spearwoman says, turning to Blondie and bowing before yawning. "Hello… And have a good night…" She greets before turning around and returning back inside. Prompting Blondie to look at Alex, bringing out a guilty smile.
"I touched a nerve recognizing her, didn't I?" She awkwardly much to The Shielder's face of disappointment.
"A few… Now do you want it checked or not?" Alex asks, walking towards Blondie, going to bring the bike in.
"Of course, I need to ride to the police station. My sister might've been in a big scuffle." She says, lending her hands to bring her bike towards the Garage door, Alex presses a button and the canopy opens up automatically in a good pace, revealing a nice sports car on the side, the front facing towards the exit.
Dragging the bike further in, Alex kicks the kickstand on the ground so it won't fall, his eyes change color as he brings a rock up to lift the front of the bike. Pulling up the seat to see the problems.
"Yep… Petcock's flooded into the carb's float, and battery's half past dead… What, did you wipe out standing with it?" He looks to Blondie, who had an odd look on her face. Causing him to narrow his eyes. "And what's with that look?"
"Didn't expect you to know about bike stuff, thought I'd just do it myself and be on my way." The Blonde girl says only for the Brunette with a hairband to narrow his eyes further at her. "Wouldn't really want to overstep."
"You're already overstepping with that surface-level judgment, Blondie…" The shielder says, causing the girl to shrink in awkwardness.
"Can we… Start over fresh?" She says, awkwardly laughing while waving her hands.
Silence… Followed by a light blink from Alex and then a shrug, saying "Why not… What's your name, anyway?" as he goes to empty the float by transferring it back to the tank while his eyes glowed with a color brighter than his green eyes.
"Yang Xiao Long, ass-kicker, slick biker and a lover of Strawberry sunrise!" The girl now having the name of Yang speaks, pointing at Alex with a finger pistol while kicking up into crossed legs. While Alex's eyebrow quirks up at the 'strawberry sunrise'.
"Alexander Nikos, and I take it you're also an underage drinker?" The Shielder says while looking at Yang, seeing a wide smile. "Guess I can have some kind of a drinking buddy at Beacon."
"Ayyy, then I'll hold ya' to it when we finally enter, Alexplosive!" Yang says, with Alex looking at her like a deer in headlights, the shaking his head and tightening the petcock again after bringing all the fuel back in the tank from the float. "So that's the float, but how about the battery, you gonna jump it from the car?"
"Nah, I'm gonna jump it myself." The Spartan brother says, bringing jumper cables as he opens the batter compartment, hooking the cables on the battery and then grabbing the other ends himself, his eyes turning blue as he zaps electricity into the battery, charging it. "Also that name is, really corny."
"Well it's an equal trade for that corny 'Sunshine' name you got there." She says, smiling brightly while the two share a chuckle as she sees Alex finish charging, closing the compartment and activating the starting the Bike, see it smoothly turn on and purr power from the engine. "And thanks for fixing my fuck up. I'll be sure to pay you back."
"As long as you'll share a drink with me, then I'll hold you up on that." Alex says as Yang puts her helmet and goggles back on, bringing out a really bright smile in The Shielder's direction. A shining smile while turning her Bike around to the property's exit.
"It'll be my treat!"
Outside of the police station, Inigo sat by a bench as he sees a Blonde girl run in, then just look down at himself as he clasps his hands.
He feels tension bubble up within him as he as twiddles his thumbs around as he cloud hear heels clacking on the floor, so he looks towards the entry to the station, seeing Goodwitch towering over him as he sat and looked apprehensive.
"I'm in trouble… Aren't I?" He says, seeing a mellow reaction from the professor with her adjusting her glasses again.
"You've done some parts well, telling me to alert Authorities, helping a bystander and bringing down criminals for authorities to apprehend, even stall for a proper Hunter to arrive." Spoke the professor, showing some merits in Inigo's action. "However… Time and again you've thrown yourself into the line of fire with reckless abandon, even casting out such a volatile Arte. We're thankful that we managed to apprehend that Thief Torchwick without burning remains… Even if those two unknowns remain unseen."
Inigo remains silent as he lowers his head, going to grip the front edge of the bench, biting into his lip. Releasing his bite he tries to look at Goodwitch again, this time it's her kneeling to look at him directly "What compels you to throw yourself into fire without an ounce of care for yourself?" Goodwitch asks, with a softer expression on her visage, with a Rhythmic ring around her head, pristine within the rippling world.
"Isn't it… The Duty of Hunters to put their lives on the line… No matter the mission?" The boxer asks, whatever shown of his expression shows a dark and more jaded sting for that question. Causing the Professor to widen her eyes at that response.
"But not at the complete expense of your own life!" Goodwitch objects to that factor, causing Inigo to look away while his grip tightens on the bench.
"Yes, self-sacrifice may be an admirable virtue, but to such a degree would be rather counterproductive for the present day, and the future past that right, Glnyda." Ozpin's voice was heard by The Boxer's right as they both look to the Headmaster, who was carrying a plate and a mug in his hands. "But for now, let us dispense with the dour attitude, I'd rather my students be healthier in the core aspects. So I've brought this." The headmaster says, placing a plate of pastries on the boy's lap and a paper-cup of pink-ish liquid on his side.
The boy looked at the plate and cup after looking at the headmaster who was bringing out his cane, letting the stick part of it descend to the ground for him to lean on. [Pastries?] He thought before smelling the liquid, it was a sweet scent, one he nearly forgot about… But… He's not sure whether to touch it or not.
"Is something the matter?" Ozpin asks, seeing the hesitation in Inigo's body language.
"That girl… I-is she in trouble?" The boy asks with a slight stutter in his voice…
"'That girl'?" Glynda asks, raising an Eyebrow before realizing.
"Ah yes, that girl. Do not worry, through the effort of the both of you, she managed to attain a spot at Beacon. Be proud of your skills, young man." The headmaster says, looking towards the entrance to the police station, prompting Inigo to follow his gaze and see the dark-redhead with the Blondie to walk out of the establishment. Walking with a man who share the same colors as Blondie.
Inigo sees the girl talk to those two, then look at him directly, immediately noticing him as she smiles, flashing two peace signs and a wide grin before walking away with those two, from that… Some red has appeared on the boy's face, a new color on his pale visage.
"Then… Thank you for the food…"
"Ah, that really hits the spot!" So says Fenrich after placing down a giant bowl, trying to keep the belch down while holding his fist close to the lips. Letting some moments pass before finally getting a word out from without any obstruction. "You always seem to get the appropriate proportions for this stuff. It just doesn't weigh down as much as I make it."
All the clerk ever does is just hold his finger to his lips while he still holds that ever present squint, even with the shifting brows.
"Fine then… Keep your secrets, wise clerk." The wolf says, chuckling with a toothy smirk. About to make some more small talk… Only for a darkened hand to place itself on his shoulder, looking back to see a blue eye peeking from the shade of the hood. "Ah, looks like I'm needed elsewhere." Fenrich says, he then stands up and places some Lien from of his pocket and placing it down for the Old man.
"You can keep the change, Sir. The money must flow, even in the dark of the night" He says, picking up a toothpick while he hears a masculine hum from the hooded person. The wolf looks back with a quirked brow. "Yeah, I know it's courtesy to pay." He says before walking off with the hooded figure, down from the streets and into the alleys, the wolf walked with hands in his pockets. Toothpick on his teeth as he cleans them with his lips closed.
"You know, if I thought otherwise, this would've been a dishonorable discharge." Fenrich says, looking to the hooded figure who brought down the cloak, revealing a man with red and black hair, slicked back to show the black horns on top. "Wouldn't you agree, Adam?" The wolf speaks to the notorious Bull, who turned around with a black wrapping over the left eye, staring right through the guy with wolf traits.
"Tell me the truth, Fenrich…" Adam says, his face nonplussed, yet full of burden mixed with other unseen emotions. "Did you leave legitimately?"
"Ah…" a voice escaped from Fenrich's lips, luster faded out from his eyes in a mere instant. "Yes… I did it out of my own volition, through the Tigress… Or should I say, the great leader in front of you…" He spoke with a somber tone, going to lean back on the alley wall, crossing his legs.
There was silence from The Bull, sighing out as if a gargantuan burden has been relieved off of him. "Then… Promise me this." He then approaches The Wolf after saying that, lightly placing his fist to Fenrich's chest, looking directly in the eyes. "Keep her safe, keep my apprentice from the fire..."
Slowly a little smile crept on The swordsman's face, placing his hands on the fist. "I think I already know who that is. I'll do my best to keep her from being shot." Soon shine returns to his eyes as he slightly pushes. "And 'sides, it's not like this will be the last time I see you, Mind if you save some spars for the year?"
"Hm… Very well, but know this, Fenrich… The Albains are digging, and my hands are tied… So don't expect those spars as often as we'd both like…" Adam says, creaking his neck before parting the cloak to reveal his outfit.
"And you can't bring it up to The Leader?" The Wolf says, bringing out his sheath and sword form of his weapon, sheathing it right in front of Adam.
"Can't, they'll just try to burn the records under our noses… I can only see it through and.. At the very least gather enough of it." He brings his own sheathed sword out, bringing it up together with Fenrich. "Still, knowing that you'll be a hunter will give plenty of recognition for us, despite everything, there is still the common enemy."
"Ah shucks, and yeah… The common enemy will always be the Grimm for us Children of Remnant…" Fenrich says, raising his sheathed sword to his fellow swordsman as they bump fists and hilts together, smiling. "I'll be seeing you some other time, alright?"
"Sure, if you're not swamped by homework." The bull says, separating from The Wolf and putting on his hood and cloak, walking towards the darkness of the Alleyway while Fenrich looked on, sighing as he turned around and walked back out to the streets, getting ready for the for the next day.
All the while a figure with a glowing patch and two metal limbs stood on the lip of a roof, looking out to Vale-Capital, the metal arm letting out a hiss of steam led the figure to look down to the walking Swordsman, a smile appearing within the shade before looking up to the Shattered moon above and raising a hand to it.
