Europia United, Germany, Hamburg, Michael's Chruch, two days after the Battle of Strasbourg
A day has passed since Smilas arrived in Germany. Although he had originally planned to visit Hamburg first and then proceed to Berlin, he could not resist the urge to see Leila's reaction to his return from the military. He was naturally pleased with their earlier encounter, but now he had other matters to attend to. Smilas's car stopped near Michael's Church, gesturing the driver to stay behind, as he got out of the car. Entering the church, he greeted Father Angelo, the head priest, before following him to the stage. There, the priest pushed a hidden button below the stand, the stage slid back and revealed a trapdoor below. Lights turned on as Smilas continued following the priest down the stairs. Once they finally arrived down to the room, they approached a wooden door. The priest stops in front of the door and turns to the E.U. General.
"This is as far as I can take you, brother Smilas," the priest tells him. The two bowed their heads, before the priest heads back to the church.
Smilas then opens the door and heads inside. Inside the room, a strange doorway-like structure, similar to the one in Kamine Island, was inside the room. Smilas approached the door and placed his hand on the strange doorway-like structure. Once he did so, it immediately activated, with red bright lights streaming out. The strange door opened, revealing a strange space-like environment inside.
Smilas enters the room and upon entering, the door behind closes. In the middle of the room, two chairs along and a coffee table, with a fireplace between them, can be seen in the middle of the room. A woman, or more specifically a pink tipped raven hair girl can be seen sitting on one of the chairs as she reads a book. Smilas heads near to the middle of the room where the girl was sitting, and sat on the chair opposite of him.
"It has been quite a while," Smilas remarks.
The girl kept looking at her book, not paying attention the man in front of him. Which offended Smilas a bit, but calmed dion as he realized it was pointless to do so.
"I need your help," he asked. Which got her attention, yet she kept her eyes on the book.
"Go on," she said blankly.
"I want access of the artificial thought elevators built by the Order," Smilas demands. The girl scoffs at his demands.
"You really are unbelievable you know that right," she remarks.
He grimaced, vexed by her comment. "Can you do it?" Smilas asks.
"Its not as easy as you think," she informs him, much to displeasure. "Besides why should I do it?" she asks. "After all, you couldn't even prevent Ragnarök from happening, you couldn't even take care of Shin Hyuga Shiang. What's more, while you were idly spending your time in Portlaoise maximum security, the Great enemy has gathered even more followers. Do you know what that means?"
Smilas winced, knowing what the girl had meant by. After all it was the reason as to why Smilas even knows about the existence of Geass. He had spent years finding and killing the followers of the Great enemy, to maintain the so called Order that the Collective Consciousness had established since the Big Bang. Charles was another one of Great enemy's followers. Of course he eventually tethered all connections to the Great enemy and started the Ragnarök connection. Smilas doesn't know much of the Great enemy, only that he is an ancient evil that has lived for thousands of years and has and still is great threat for the Collective Consciousness.
"Fortunately Ragnarök was prevented, so one threat has been eliminated. But that was taken care of the Charles's son. Speaking of Charles's son, the Collective Consciousness is deciding whether or not to break off our contract. It's thinking of making Charles's son our new associate, " she informs him. Smilas eyes widened frightened.
The news of the Collective Consciousness wanting to break off their contract is something he can't afford. He had promised the Council a victory for the E.U. and the reclamation of France, from Britannia. His plan relied on the Thought Elevators and he needed his connection to the Collective Consciousness, for his negotiations with Farlaf. If it was thinking of breaking off their contract, he needs to do whatever it takes to prove to the Collective Consciousness that he is still useful to him. How can he convince the them that he is more useful to him than Charles's son.
But, how could he convince him though...?
As Smilas panically thought of ways to prove his usefulness, meanwhile the girl looked at him with amusement. She had to admit, it was fun seeing Smilas stuck in corner. At first, he came in here all confident, now he is trying to figure a way to show his usefulness to the Collective consciousness. Though that said, she took pity upon him. After all she and the Collective were the ones who helped Smilas rise into power. Seeing as how they will now leave him in the dust and support Charles's son. Then, that's when it gave her a fun idea.
A smirk familiarly similar to Charles's son, was formed on her face. Closing her book, which floated upwards it turns into particles of light which disappear immediately.
"Though the Consciousness is fully adamant on breaking Smilas's contract, it wouldn't hurt to mess with him a little," she thought. A small smile appeared on her face.
"Alright then, let's do this," she began, as Smilas paid close attention. "If you can defeat the new Emperor, I will try to change the Collective's decision," she said. Getting Smilas to calm down. "However, if you fail you can forget renewing our contract ever again."
Smilas puffed his chest in confidence. As his lips formed an arrogant smirk. "Then there is no need to worry, he is no Leila after all. After all there can't be more than one of her. That child has never commanded an army after all."
The girl meanwhile tried to hold back her chuckle, as she knows one thing that Smilas doesn't know about the young Emperor of Britannia. He's past as as the masked Revolutionary, Zero. Since she is the avatar of god and it's intermediary to humanity, its only natural that she knows about Zero's true identity. She had been watching him ever since the Code bearer of C.C. had made a contract with him. At first of course it was just to see if he was useful for the war against the Great Enemy, then it turned into interest as the young revolutionary continued his campaign against his country. So if it had come to who would win between Smilas and Lelouch.
"It would be Lelouch of course," it was obvious after all. Smilas may have experience but he is too arrogant. "One or two more battles with him, could Smilas a wake up call." She thought as her smile curved to a devilish smirk, "that is if he doesn't die by then."
"Very well then Smilas, we have a deal." She reached her hand out to him. Smilas of course immediately accepts. In a flash the Geass symbol appears on top of his hand signifying their deal.
"That does it, the deal is done. Now all you need to do is win against Lelouch," she said as Smilas gets up from his chair.
"It won't be a challenge, after all like I said, he is just a child," Smilas arrogantly remarks. The girl rolled her eyes in response. "So, do I have access to the Thought elevators?"
"Until our deal is done, yes, you do," she confirms. "I suggest you use it wisely, Smilas."
"And I will, after all you know me better tan anyone else, D.S." Smilas says confidently.
The girl D.S, could only roll her eyes amused, having good feeling on what was about to happen next. She will admit, Smilas is a good commander, but his arrogance is his only flaw. A flaw of which Smilas has failed to recognize. Well probably after this he will finally get a wake up call that he so much needs.
"I don't think there is anything else you want, right?" She asked.
"No," Smilas shaked his head. "That was all, if you want I could sta-"
"Leave and come back after our bet is settled," she immediately cuts him off. Getting another wince from Smilas.
"I swear I will make sure you respect one day," Smilas mumbled quietly, as he proceeded to head to the exit.
After he left, the book that D.S. was reading popped back on to her hand. As she picks up where she left.
"Good luck with that, you're personality makes it impossible for me to give you an inch of respect."
D.S. of course heard what Smilas said. She could've said something earlier before, but it would've been more annoying to hear his complaints. She didn't want to go through another one of temper tantrums again. It was fun the first few times but then it started to get tiresome after that. Seriously, how is that man the commander of the largest (was) armies in all of the world. Guess the E.U. was desperate for commanders, not that she can blame them. But they honestly could've done better in her opinion. In any case the future has set, and there was nothing that anyone could do to stop it.
"D.S. I thought I told you not to interfere with the affairs of the Humans," A deep and menacing voice tells her.
"Do not worry, master. I'm certain that nothing will go wrong," she assured the voice.
"It maybe so, but you already interfered with the order of reality as it is," the voice reminds her.
D.S. let out a groan, "would you relax. You're such worrywart, it will be alright. Smilas is good commander, but that's just about it. So he really isn't that much of a challenge for Lelouch," D.S says.
"You are quite confident on the young Emperor's abilities, aren't you D.S.?" the voice inquired.
"If you have been observing him long enough yiu can understand why," D.S. tells.
The Voice only snorts offended, "Why should I, do something as pointless as that,"
"My master, aren't you just insulting yourself now," D.S. jokes, with her hand over lips.
"I may be their creator, but I don't have to observe every single human on the planet," The Voice replies, a little offended.
The girl could only smile amused. "Oh well there is no changing your mind I guess,"
"Be that as it maybe, what is so special about this child? Sure I am thankful that he saved me, but why him?" Her master asked her, trying to understand D.S.'s decision.
"Why?" A smirk forms on her lips, "Because, he is the man of miracles,"
Yes, since her master doesn't bother with the affairs of humans, they naturally wouldn't know anything that was currently happening on the planet, apart from the Great enemy. She knows what that child is capable of. And she alone knows his worth, and now that she had shown her interest in him, her master will as well. Its only just a matter before her master will understand why, she regards the Man of Miracles in such high regards.
Holy Britannian Empire, Germany, Karlsruhe, Avalon
"Care to explain why there are photos of you in the Palace, throughout the internet?" Lelouch asks,Catherine, through the computer screen, who was looking away sheepishly.
"Well... Uhhhhhh, might have uhhh not been careful when uhhh picking up pizzas," Catherine says sheepishly.
Lelouch clenched his face as to what he had juat heard. "You could've asked a maid to get it for you, or asked the palace chef to make you one,"
"What can I do, I'm a loyal customer, y'know. I have been ordering from Pizza hut since it first began," Catherine defends, which only frustrates Lelouch even more.
"I swear, your love of Pizza will be the death of me," Lelouch mumbled.
Nearly a week since he has been away from Catherine, and it didn't take long for her to start making trouble for him. As of yesterday, there were photos of Catherine going around te internet, asking who she was, and why she was at the palace. Naturally people would assume, she was a maid, but... She was wearing nothing but a crop top and booty shorts. It had become a hot topic in the Empire on who this mystery lady was. Was she a friend of the Emperor, was she another member of the Royal family, was she an old acquaintance, or was she the Emperor's mistress. All sorts of rumours were already spreading throughout and Lelouch had OSI work double time to get rid of all those posts. Right now, Lelouch is planning on revealing Catherine to be his Empress after the war is over. As of now, he already has made a identity for her, and finalized her citizenship as well. Preparations have already been made for her to make her appearance at Alexander Palace, for the victory ball. If everything goes well, his former army will have a headache on what's to happen. He already wonders if someone has gotten his little gift. Then again, really depends on who discovers it first.
"Thankfully the matter has been taken care of. So relax Cee, It'll be alright," Lelouch reassured her, calming the green witch. "Anyways, you had something to tell me, so what is it?"
This was the actual reason for the call. Catherine was the o.e who actually called him first, saying she has something to tell him.
Catherine got serious. "Its about Leila Malcal,"
Lelouch confused, "What about her?"
"Twelve years ago, I formed a contract with her," Catherine revealed to him.
Lelouch of course was taken off guard by the sudden revelation. Mostly because of the chances of her running into Leila Malcal of all people. Much less twelve years ago.
"Why didn't you mention me this before?" Asks Lelouch, obviously a little mad.
"I didn't think it would cause much trouble. I only found out about Leila after asking OSI about the E.U. Command." Catherine tells him. Lelouch could only put his palm on his face, as a variable has hindered his war effort.
"Do you at least know what her Geass is?" At least she would know that.
"Well that's the thing, I don't," The green witch reveals, much to Lelouch's comfort. "Besides I remember that her power hadn't been activated,"
Lelouch cocked a brow at that. "It hasn't?"
Catherine nods in confirmation. "Positive,"
"Well that's a good thing I guess, although we don't know if she has awakened it yet." Lelouch says. While the it was good news that her abilities hadn't awakened yet, the possibility of it being activated is high. What's worse is that they don't know what type of Geass it is. This was a setback that he didn't expect to see. But he can work through it. Right now, the E.U. military is in shambles after he destroyed two of their armies. By now they'll be in the defensive, buying time until they get volunteers from the U.F.N. and most possibly Zilkhstan mercenaries.
With the new information of a Geass order being affiliated with Zilkhstan. Jeremiah would need be needed by his side at all cost. Suzaku could handle a Geass user by himself, considering the Geass command he put on him. Marrybell of course should be of some use in the case of Geass users as she does have her ways.
In anycase, will have to make additional countermeasures, for Leila Malcal. She is a dangerous wild card, that must be observed at all times. He will have OSI find out if her Geass has awakened or not. If it has, he has to figure what it is. The possibilities could be in the thousands or even millions.
"So what's the plan then?" His green haired mistress asks.
"For now, nothing. We don't have much intel on Leila Malcal Geass, since you only just mentioned it," Lelouch hissed, to which the girl turned her while whistling. "So for now, I'll have Jeremiah by my side at all times, I'll relay this information to Suzaku and Marrybell."
"What about your uncle?" Catherine asked. She had learned about the new Knight of One's relation to Marianne. It was a shock to her as well, considering she had never mentioned him before or had ever seen him as well.
Lelouch was silent for a moment before he spoke. "He will be focusing on the African front for now, besides he doesn't know about Geass yet," Lelouch tells her, which raised Catherine's brow.
"You haven't told him yet?" Catherine asked. Finding it strange that he hasn't told the Knights of the Round about it yet, specifically his uncle.
"Just because he happens to be my Mother's younger brother, who wasn't aware of his sister's true personality. Doesn't mean I can trust off the bat of my hand," Lelouch commented. Though he found Elijah a useful piece in his plans to take over the world. He doesn't quite trust him yet. Same goes to the other Knights, excluding Suzaku. He doesn't know anything about them, other than that they are on his side. Who knows what they might be hiding, particularly from George Morris. The reports about him and his Apocalypse Squad had been anything but pleasing.
Lelouch wants to trust them, but he just can't right now. He knows little about them, and that makes them dangerous. So for now he won't tell them a thing about Geass or Marianne, until he is certain they are trustworthy.
Catherine looked a little concerned by Lelouch's comment about his uncle. The green haired witch did agree with him though. There is only little information in regards to Elijah Lamperouge, they don't know for sure if he is genuinely working for them out of family. Who really knows. But aside all that, she does want Lelouch and him to get along and bond together. With all his other relatives dead, against him, and brainwashed. She does want Lelouch and Elijah to get along and bond together as a family. Though Marrybell is on his side, it's more of common interest than family.
"Well, I guess you're right, but please try and get to know him. I'm asking you to do this for your own good, okay?" The green haired witch said, out of character. Which of course got Lelouch off guard. But he quickly regained himself.
"Yeah, I will. It's not that I don't want to. It's just I'm afraid, I don't exactly know anything about him anyway," Lelouch says.
"Sometimes it just takes to talk one another to get to know each other, especially with someone you never met. It will be hard, but eventually you'll learn more about him eventually," Catherine tells him. This time even more out of character.
Lelouch could only smile gracefully. "Thank you, Cat. I'm lucky to have met you," Lelouch was really glad to have met her. Though she had kept a lot of secrets from him, it didn't really stop him from loving her.
Catherine could flushed embarrassed by his words. She buried her head on Cheese-kun doll, as she turned to the side, her cheeks pink.
"Whatever, idiot," Catherine cuts off the link.
Lelouch chuckled a little, finding her reaction a little adorable. She can be cute sometimes.
"I assume that is your lover, your majesty," Jarvis asks as he approached the Emperor behind him, carrying a tray of tea and breakfast toast.
"Yes she is Jarvis, soon she will be my Empress," Lelouch says, thinking of how the coronation will go.
"You two do seem to compliment each other, I would love to meet my soon to be mistress." Jarvis says, curious to meet the Green haired witch.
"I hope so as well, considering you'll become a lot more busier," Lelouch says as he takes the tea.
"What do you mean by that?" Jarvis asks.
Lelouch sipped his tea before he spoke. "You'll find out yourself," and sips his tea again.
Jarvis confused for a second, immediately shakes it off, thinking it wasn't serious. Little did he know, it was really serious.
Europia United, Berlin, War Command Centre, Wzero barracks
It was nightfall at Berlin, Leila coming back from the command centre exhausted. Leila had just finished consulting with a few of the officers in regards to a strategy for a counterattack on the soon to be coming battle at Frankfurt. Ever since Smilas had ordered her to, she had been non-stop working for the past twenty four hours just trying to figure out a strategy alone. From what her specialists says, they don't exactly have the manpower needed to fight the Emperor and the forces that he brought along with him. Seriously, she had began to think Smilas was insane, to think they coud actually win or carry out a successful counterattack. And to even bet everything all on this one single Operation alone. Why in the world did she even become his mentee. Oh she was really starting to regret even doing that even more now.
Reaching the barrack doors, as she was about to open the door a loud bang was heard inside the room. Leila immediately opened the door to see what was going on, only to see Ashley on the ground laying against the wall, with Ryo and Ayano holding back Akito. The rest of Ashley's team looked like they were about to attack Akito, but Yukiya was managing to hold them back, surprisingly.
"What the hell is going on!?" Leila yells. Getting everyone's attention. They all stood still with their hands behind, except for Ashley who clearly wasn't able to.
"Colonel, let me explain-" Akito gets cut off by Leila, as he tries to explain himself.
"What is going on here, Yukiya?" Leila asks the brown haired Japanese boy.
"I'm pretty sure you know the reason why," Yukiya tells her, not bothering to explain himself.
Leila confused for a moment then realized what he meant. Glancing at Akito, who turns looks away. Shw then looked toward Ashley, who was in pain. She helped him get up and sit down on the bed.
"Akito, we need to talk. Outside, now," Leila tells him, as she gets outside. Akito taken back, quickly follows her out, as she told him to.
Once outside the barracks and a clear distance away from it, Leila stops to which Akito does the same. Slowly turning around, Akito knew what was about to happen bracing himself. As he expected, Leila raised her hand and slapped Akito on the face. Akito looked to the side, as he couldn't bare to look directly at her.
"Akito, look at me," she told him. Of course not obliging.
"..."
"..."
"..."
"Akito, look at me. Right now," she again tells her.
"..."
"For god's sake, just look at me Akito!" This time, she grabs his collar, which of course forced him to look at her. If only for a brief moment.
"Why did you do that Akito? Tell me why, why did you do that to your friend?" Leila demanded. She knew why, but ahe wanted to hear from Akito himself.
Akito didn't answer. He was silent, not answering her. As he knew it wouldn't change anything.
Leila kept holding his collar, still waiting for him to answer, but eventually realised it was pointless. She instead decided to tell him what she wanted to tell him instead.
"Akito, listen, I know its been hard for us, ever since we returned," she began. "Its going to be even harder now, with Smilas back. I don't blame Ashley for not telling us, he must've been ordered to by Smilas, so that he can surprise me."
As Akito listened, he starts to loosen up a little. Turning his head to her face. He could clearly see the bags that were on her face, caused by the lack of sleep over the past few days. He then realized how he had made her more stressed due to his earlier fight with Ashley. He messed up, he wanted to help Leila, but only for just to give him more trouble. He wanted to hit himself just for that reason alone.
"I know that you were angry, but that doesn't mean you can blame Ashley for that. So please make sure you apologise to him," Leila asks him.
"I... I will," Akito hesitantly answered. Which caused a small smile to appear on her face, as she let go his collar
"Also don't worry about me too much, I'll be fine. Even things are going to be more hectic than usual, it'll be okay. If worse comes to worse, we can all just desert the military like before," Leila muses, which caught Akito off guard.
'Are... are you sure you want to do that?" Akito asks confused. "I mean wasn't it your idea to return back into service in the first place."
Leila could only smirk at his words. "After what we've been through after coming back, I think I'm ready to leave it all behind." She says, turning around to look at the night sky. "Travelling around with those grannies were the most happiest moments in my life. Even though I did miss the military, remembering those days makes me regret ever coming back."
Akito looked surprised, considering how Leila always went on about missing life in the military. Though their time with the gypsies were only temporary, as they didn't plan on travelling all across Europe. But he did agree with her on one thing, it was fun and they were happy. Even if it was a mundane life, it was simple, and that's all he could ever ask for. A simple life, where they didn't have bothered by the problems of the world. Yes, that's all he- they could ever ask for.
Akito came up to Leila, putting his hand over her as he also looked over the sky. Both of them squeezed their hands tight, remembering all their time together. From when they first met, to alll their crazy adventures. They both could only smile.
"Whatever happens, we'll always have each other," Akito says. Getting a smile from Leila.
"Yeah, you and all of Wzero are all precious to me," Leila rests her head on Akito's shoulder. "When this is all over, we're never coming back."
Something akin to a blue bird like sigil appears on Leila's eye. "No one is taking my family away. Never again." She vowed, remembering the fateful day after her parents death, at the forest. Where she had met the strange green haired woman who had given her this power.
Kingdom of Zilkhstan, Grahlbad, Temple of Zilkhstan
The land of warriors, Zilkhstan. A nation which once was filled with lush and green lannd with a river flowing through the country. However due to centuries of wars and Invasions by foreign powers, the land became desolate and barren. However it was because of these wars, it led to the nation becoming an invincible warrior nation, able to repel an invasion from the Holy Britannian Empire, just decades ago. Inside the Temple of Zilkhstan, where the high Priestess and princess of the country resided. Bolovna Forgnar could be seen entering the temple and coming inside the chambers of the high Priestess. He had arrived to discuss something of great urgency, that required the princess's attention.
Forgnar stopped after a certain distance, covering a part of his face, before he spoke. "Your highness,"
"Bolovna, what brings you here?" Shamna spoke, coming out of from the curtains from behind her throne, with her personal guards following suit.
"Forgive me for not informing you ahead of my arrival, however I believe it is of utmost importance that I should inform of you of this as soon as possible," Bolovna says. Catching the Priestess's attention, as she sat down on her throne.
"And that would be?"
"Its the E.U. your highness," Bolovna informs.
Shamna looked uninterested. "What about them?" She asked. Wondering what it was about the E.U. that should be in her interest. After all, Shamna is the high priestess of the country, meaning that she handles all the religious affairs in Zilkhstan. The Farlaf religion is only exclusive to Zilkhstan as it is only folk religion.
"To be more specific your highness, its Gene Smilas," Bolovna adds. Shamna then realized what was happening, and was certainly not pleased.
"Oh. Him," The blonde priestess could never forget that man. It had been over half a decade since she and him last seen each other, after all Farlaf and all other breakaway factions of the Geass Organisation knows about the chosen champion of the collective. "What does he want? Last time I heard, he was serving life in Portlaoise maximum security," Shamna asks.
"He has recently been released and returned to his position as commander in chief of the United Army," Bolovna informs her.
Shamna could only scoff annoyed. "And here I thought I would never hear of that man ever again," Shamna says, remembering their first and last interaction, which left a bad impression of him on her. "So, what does he want?"
"Our Geass unit," Bolovna tells her.
The priestess had a look of confusion on her face. "Our Geass unit? Why would he need them, unless... It couldn't be!?"
"It seems our theory was right, the young Emperor of Britannia does indeed possess a Geass," Bolovna confirms.
"Looks like it. If that's the case, we have no reason to refuse," Shamna says, seeing as they have no choice but to agree to Smilas's request.
Though power of Geass is only known to few members of the Zilkhstan government, they have very much utilized its use for its mercenary export. They were mostly used for assassinations, however they would also be used in wide scale battles in cases of the conflicts between other Geass factions. However for them to be used for wide scale battle, only those who know the existence of geass can be allowed to hire and them, and they must only be used against other Geass users. Seeing as how the Emperor is a Geass user, they have no choice but to send their Geass unit to Europe, without any delay. Considering the pay they'll be given.
"Also, your highness. We have received a message from the Aramu gate," Bolovna also mentioned. Which again caught the blonde woman's interest.
"What is it?"
"It appears that the collective is choosing a new champion," the old man informs. Which surprised Shamna.
"That is surprising, the collective doesn't usually choose a new champion so quickly," Shamna says, seeing how unusual it is.
"It is indeed, who do you believe will be chosen?" Bolovna asks the priestess.
Shamna could only smile, having her own idea of who will be chosen. "My brother of course, though he is... abled. He is quite a capable fighter, the Great enemy will have a hard time dealing with him, should they ever confront," Shamna glorifies her brother.
"Indeed, King Shailio's Knightmare skills improve day by day. It only is a matter before he can a rival a Knight of the Round," Bolovna agreed with her.
"Yes, there is no one who can defeat Shailio. Shoukd such a day arise, it would mean the end of our Kingdom," Shamna says, which made everyone in the room uneasy, by the very thought of Zilkhstan's destruction. "Though our nation has lasted for three hundred years and repelled thousands of armies from our lands, we still cannot defeat time. No matter what we do, eventually all nations will come to an end, sooner or later."
"Your highness, I would be lying if I said you were wrong, but it not time yet for Zilkhstan disappear into the history books just yet," Bolovna swore.
"I hope so, I only wish our people can live without the need the of war," Shamna says. While she wasn't against Zilkhstan's army being used as mercenaries for other nations, it did however worried her. With only the U.F.N. and the Holy Britannian left in the world, she wasn't sure if her Kingdom would exist for another century. Her Geass may be their only way to defend themselves from other nations, but what were to happen id she were to die. Her Geass won't be inherited to the next priestess, as Geass manifests differently with others.
They need to find an alternative income for their country. Or eventually, her people will starve. The U.F.N. will be hesitant to help them, as they would likely be focused on developing themselves first.
"What of the Eden project?" Shamna asks.
"Progress is yet to be made, but we did stumble upon on something that might be proven useful for the project," Bolovna informs her.
It catched the Priestess's attention, as she smiled. "Do tell what it is, Forgnar."
"We recovered it from an outpost from the Great Enemy's followers," he began, which got the Priestess even more curious. "There appears to be a secret library that had onced belong to the infamous Irregular, Dash."
"A library? Could there be something there that could help speed up the Eden project?" Shamna asks to herself. Which Bolovna could hear.
"I believe that to be the case, your highness. His majesty Shailio, has already prepared a unit reday to find the location of the library," Bolovna also adds, much the pleasure of Shamna. "They will be ready to deploy, if you give the word, your highness."
"There is no time to waste then, the Eden project is vital to the future for our people. For the future of our country, go and find this library. Immediately," The priestess declared.
"Namjala Latak," Bolovna once again covers his face. He then leaves to inform the King of Shamna's decision.
She hoped that this will be it, that this will be the end of their way of life. To the time of the great river, where Zilkhstan prospered through its own resources. If it weren't for the foreign invasions from Europe, Britannia, China, or the Middle East, none of this wouldn't have happened. The world will pay one day, but right now the eden project must be their number one priority. Their current technology won't be enough to restore their once arable and beautiful land. But with the power and research of Geass, anything is possible. Its power is limitless as well it's unlimited capabilities. Soon it will be time for Zilkhstan to begin its counterattack on the world.
Europia United, Germany, Bad Dürrheim
A lone Panzer Hummel tries to find a place to hide in the small town, as it it's been pursued by the Dullahan Order's Knightmares. The pilot of the Panzer, sweats nervously as he hoped that they won't spot him. He was the only one left in his squad that wasn't completely obliterated by the attack on Villingen-schwenningen. It took them by surprise of course, who knew that the Britannian's would make a surprise attack on a small city like that, unless they were making a shortcut to Stuggart. But that didn't really all that matter. For while the attack did get them off guard, these pilots were something else. Their tactics were heavily calculated and all of their attacks were perfectly timed, it was almost as if they were trained from birth. Just who were these people? His squad had managed to escape Villingen-schwenningen, only for them to be hunted down by them one by one.
Thinking that the Sutherland's hadn't spotted yet, he let down a bit. The pilot turned his head to his other computer, only to see a black Sutherland aiming it's gun at him. The pilot had thought it was it for him as he closed his eyes, he waited. A moment had passed and nothing had happened, the pilot confused, opens his eyes once again and looks at the screen what's going on. To his utter shock, the Sutherland was on flames with it's pilot mostly likely dead.
Next thing he knew, he heard a sound of a huge hun being shot. He tried to find tk see where it was, only to find another destroyed Sutherland, which was on the other side of the building that he was hiding at. It appeared that the Black machine was destroyed by an anti-Knightmare round. The E.U. pilot tried to find the Knightmare that was responsible for destroying it.
Later two red dots appeared on his radar, alerting him of nearby enemy Knightmares approaching behind him. The Hummel turned around to face the two Sutherland's that were coming behind him. As The Panzer prepared to fire its cannons, a shadow appeared over him and right in front of the Knightmare landed a strange Knightmare.
It looked like a human, and it looked sleeker than the infamous Lancelot except for it's arms which looked comically muscular, its head resembled that of a Sutherland. Yet what catched him the most, was the strange bird sigil on it's shoulders.
The strange Knightmare quickly grabbed the Sutherland's by the chest and crushed them as if they were like paper. It then threw the two destroyed Knightmares over the Panzer Hummel, which crushed another Sutherland, that was behind him. Two more Sutherlands had arrived to the area, the two machines all aimed their guns at them. However before they could fire their weapons, one of the Sutherlands gets drilled through behind them, which of course killed the pilot. The partner of the other Sutherland tried to see what it was that destroyed his comrade, only for it to be sliced in half from above. The two Knightmares responsible for it were different from tye other Knightmare, one looked like the famous Guren Mk2 except white and its horn looked more akin to a stag beetle and it had a strange armament attachedto its right arm. The other looked similar to the tye Akatsuki's of the black knights, except purple and had slight differences particularly on its face.
There was another Sutherland hiding behind a building near the muscular looking Knightmare. It appeared that the pilot was preparing to ambush it from behind. As it was about to a silhouette of a Knightmare appeared next to it. The Sutherland quickly takes out it stun tonfa's and quickly tried slash it, but it disappeared into thin air before tye Sutherland could even hit it. The pilot of the Sutherland looked confused as he looked around to see where it went, only for it to be stabbed from behind by a knife.
Meanwhile at a distance, a Gloucester was hiding at a distance having witnessed the whole battle, or if one could call it one. After seeing the carnage, the pilot quickly knew that it was suicide to fight them and he had to report back to the main force. After checking the area and making sure there were any more of those Knightmares around. The Gloucester made a run for it, thinking it was clear. As he was about to leave the town, a small slash harken grabs the hand of the Gloucester, pulling it back a little, then another one, then two more on its legs. The pilot panicked, trying to free himself. As he does, a black Knightmare came up from behind the Gloucester, which appeared to the source of the small slash harken, which looked like it was hovering over as strands of hair.
The Black Knightmare looked similar to the white Knightmares from earlier, however it looked very different. It looked jarringly more human like, its faced looked like that of a helmet of a samurai. It approached the Gloucester slowly taking its time. Inside the cockpit, the pilot looked deep in thought, as he starts to remember memories of his past. Memories of his mother and sister before the invasion of the Philippines and after.
A memory of his sister appears which quickly showed her corpse, then his mother, and soon after he saw V.V. offering his hand, then his father, then the attack on the order where he tried to escape along with, others, including Sancia, Daluqe, Alice and Lucretia. Then them being rescued by Peace mark. All those memories flashed before him as he stood behind the Gloucester.
"Die."
He then remembers the coup staged by his little brother Lelouch and his foolish speech of building a gentle world.
"I will destroy your dream, and then destroy everything that is Britannia."
The Black Knightmare took out a katana, and then getting into a stance it slashed through the Gloucester cutting it in half.
"But not before I kill everyone that you love."
United Federation of Nations, India, Unknown location
In an jungle in an undisclosed part of northern india, a temple is seen. The temple looked different compared to other traditional temples in the diverse nation. Inside, hieroglyphics are seen depicting what it appeared to be a great war. Deeper inside, symbols of purple upside down Geass sigils are shown which eventually led to an enormous room. The room was surrounded by water, with a concrete platform in the middle along with a pathway. In the middle of the platform a huge strange cloaked creature with a hood over its head was sitting in the middle looking above the ceiling. As the creature looked above, two women approached it, a Chinese woman wearing a traditional Chinese dress and a Indian woman wearing traditional Indian dress. The two women stopped at the edge of the platform and bowed before the creature.
"My lord," The two women say at the same time. "Your followers have brought reports in the current affairs of the world."
"How does it look like?" The creature asked in a deep voice.
"The former champion Gene Smilas has returned," the Indian woman reports, which only got a scoff from him.
"Zilkhstan has fallen for our trap," the Chinese woman reports, which only got a yawn from him.
"Enough," he ordered them. "I heard enough, it doesn't matter, soon Britannia and the U.F.N. will go to war and I will take what's left of it. It hardly matters what Zilkhstan or what Smilas does, they are just a bunch of annoying bugs," the creature says.
"Actually my lord, there is something that we should tell you about," the Chinese woman tells him. The creature only rolled his eyes as he had enough but allows it.
"It is about the Emperor of Britannia, my lord he is-"
The creature cuts the Indian woman off. "The true descendant of Alwin the great? Because if so, I know, it was hardly obvious," He says annoyed. However the woman only continued.
"No my lord, he is also the descendant of the Gharib," the woman tells him. Which catched his attention.
The creature immediately gets up and is seen to be around the same height as the famous Gawain. The creature walked up to her and soon lowered his face down to her, his hood blows away to show a giant skull with a purple upside down Geass sigil. "Is that certain?"
The Indian woman nods.
"Yes my lord," The Chinese woman spoke. "Our followers did a DNA test, to see if he was related to Dash, but to our surprise he is a descendant of the-"
The woman was cut off. As the creature chuckled which eventually turned into full blown laughter. "Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, HA HA,HA, HA, HA, HA," if the creature had a face, it would be smirking maliciously due to the sudden revelation. "No wonder, no wonder he felt so familiar. After four thousand we meet again," the creature knew that collective does not know the young Emperor's origins. It was so ignorant of the world it created that it hardly knows anything at all. Even D.S. will not know of this as it was before she was created.
Its perfect, this time it will go well. Without the interference of the world of C, they can have a proper battle, it was because of the Gharib that he had lost his face, it was because of this, he was so eager to fight the young Emperor. His blood rushed remembering the battles he had with the Gharib. It was the only time in his life that he could even remember that he had enjoyed his existence, for him to have an actual challenge for his life. Just thinking of the upcoming battles just mafe him euphoric.
"At long last," he began. "A worthy opponent, our battle will be LEGENDARY!" The creature raised his fist in the air.
Because he knew, that it was to begin once again. The second Geass war,
Was about to begin.
A/N
Okay look I have a confession, I didn't exactly plan this whole entirely okay. So fair warning to all of you.
I created the great enemy because I wanted to give a reason as to why D.S. and Gene Smilas know each other, and to give a reason as to why Lelouch and D.S. will meet.
But don't worry, I have figured out a way to utilize them well. That's a given. I already have a solid idea on how to handle the Geass War arc.
But this did kinda add one more arc to my upcoming arcs, so its gonna even more stressful for me. Now that I work at the airport, my schedule has been more hectic so I'm trying to gey as much work done as possible along with test. Along with grinding for lost stories. (I've been getting too addicted to it.)
Anyways, Zilkhstan is getting involved and have their political problems along with Smilas and his bet, along with an introduction of a new faction. Along with Lelouch's family problems, as well as Rai's family problems... yikes.
Anyways, I hope for some criticism regarding this chapter. I'n really hoping to improve for future updates so it will really helpful.
Anyways, have a good time and expect another chapter to come soon. For now,
Peace.
