And before this chapter starts I want to let you guys know that this is story in general is T-rated. But there might be some things like language and other sensitive subjects which can cause the story to be more M-rated.

Enjoy!

After Emily dressed herself in her regular clothes, she decided to discover some spots in the district were the studio was located. After walking for minutes she found a cute small coffee place, not far from the studio. It was a bit similar to Culture Shock but it was way smaller and it looked way more ancient.

As she walked in to the coffee place she immediately got addressed by a group of three of her new team mates who were sitting at a table, two of them were boys.

"Emily right?" One of the guys asked.

"Yeah.." Emily responded slightly unsure.

"You want to have a seat with us?" The girl asked with a smile. "Don't worry, we're actually very nice." Emily chuckled.

"Sure, I'd like that."

"Great! Have a seat next to me?" The other boy said as he tapped the seat next to him. Emily kindly smiled and took a seat at the table. "First of all, welcome in Boston and welcome in the team!"

"Thanks a lot…." Emily said right before she realized that she didn't catch any of the person's names.

"I'm Kieran, Wyatt's best mate if you didn't knew." Kieran said with a chuckle, he had an accent which sounded like he was British. Kieran was a tall guy who seemed to work out a lot, since he had a very athletic body type. He had brown-green eyes and had a had light brown shortly curled hair. Emily also noticed that he had a couple of tattoos on both his arm, it wasn't completely clear those tattoos were from her point of view but it seemed like it were names and dates.

"And that is Oliver."

"Feel free to call me Ollie." Olli quickly added. Ollie seemed like a pretty cool guy as well. He wasn't as tall and built like Kieran, but he seemed pretty much like a sport man as well. He had middle long white-blonde hair and had a bright blue eyes.

"And last but not least, Kirsten." Kieran said. Kirsten was a bit shorter than Emily. She has brown-auburn hair which was styled in a side fishtail braid. She had bright hazel which you could clearly see throughout her 'hipster-glasses'. Her dress style was kinda notable since she wore an outfit which was very bright and colorful. Kirsten is often described as a friendly, bubbly and positive person. She really enjoys to help others and she's also often described as a life-enjoyer, who something take some risks at important decisions. In short; Kirsten is friendly and positive person that people like to be friends with.

"It's really cool to meet you guys!" Emily said. "After only talking to Wyatt the past week, it feels pretty good to have a chat with other people now."

"Well you're lucky you walked into us then! I couldn't handle to only hear Wyatt's for a day, let alone a week." Kieran playfully said with a chuckle.

"Are you guys kidding? I wouldn't mind hearing Wyatt's for a month, even if his voice would be the only sound I am able to hear." Kirsten said snappy and slightly dreamily,

"No shit." Ollie chuckled. "You literally love everything of Wyatt since you found out that you have a crush on him."

"Ollie!" Kirsten exclaimed in shock. "That was a secret!" She whispered.

"Then don't make it that obvious!" Ollie said with chuckle. "By the way, it is generally known in the academy that you like Wyatt… So…"

"Wait, what?! Generally known?" Kirsten said in disbelieve. "Kieran is that true?" Kieran simply nodded.

"Yup."

"Oh my God, that's so embarrassing! How did I not realize?" Kirsten said upset while she buried her face in both her hands. "Wait, wait, wait! Hold up!"

"What's up?" Kieran wondered.

"Does Wyatt know about all this?" She asked hopefully. Ollie and Kieran both chuckled.

"Who knows." Ollie said before he took a long sip from his coffee.

"Well, if someone has to know it, it must be you two. You two are spending the most time with him after all." Kirsten said.

"You have a good point over there." Kieran said.

"But yeah… Who knows?"

"Ugh, I hate you guys!" Kirsten said in a miserable yet playful way.

"Okay, I've known you guys for like a couple of minutes, but I like you already." Emily said with a chuckle.

"Glad to hear that!" Kieran said with a smile. "Wyatt told us a lot about you, especially that you're fun to talk and hang out with. So feel free to hang out with us whenever you like it, alright?"

"Thanks guys, I really appreciate that!" Emily thankfully said.

"No worries, we all know the feeling of being the new kid, don't we?" Ollie said.

"Oh! I do!" Kirsten cheerfully said. "You guys still remember when-"

"I'm sorry to interrupt." Emily said softly. "But I need to catch up, like a lot, on all your stories. So why don't we start from the beginning and you guys tell me shortly who you are."

"Sure, let's start slowly." Kirsten said with a smile. "Well, I am Kirsten. I am eighteen years old and I'm born and raised in Boston. I still live with my parents. I have an older brother, who is on duty at the navy. and I have a younger sister of sixteen. I've been dancing at multiple small dance studios in the city right before GSDA asked me to join this studio two years ago. What I like to do beside dancing is probably hanging out with friends, go to parties and all that kind of stuff. I'm pretty outgoing. So that's me. Who wants to go next?"

"I'll go." Ollie said. "So I'm Oliver, nineteen years old. I was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. I have an older brother of 23. And a younger brother and sister of fifteen and thirteen. I used to dance at a high level in Denmark as well, when I was sixteen my former studio got second in the 'Euro's Under 18 championship', even though we haven't won, I received an invatation from this studio as well. GSDA wasn't as big as it is now, but it was always a dream of mine to go to America. I really wanted to go. But since I was underaged, I needed an adult to come with me. My parents weren't an option, because they wanted to raise my younger siblings in Denmark. So my brother offered to go with me, since he was already an adult. So after some paper work, my brother and I flew to Boston. We got a nice apartment, my brother was able to work, and I needed to finish my high school here and focus on dancing. So three years later; I graduated high school, got my own apartment, my brother got engaged to a very sweet lady he met in this city, and I'm on my way too Internationals with you guys."

"Do you often see your family, beside your brother of course?'' Emily wondered.

"Yeah, I do actually. Sometimes they come to Boston and sometimes I go back to Denmark to visit them during holidays. I'm planning to go there for a couple of weeks after Internationals." Ollie answered. "And we constantly speak and chat so I'm holding up pretty fine."

"Great to hear that!" Emily said with a smile right before she turned her gaze towards Kieran. "And what is your story?"

"I really don't have a story." Kieran simply said. "I'm just a simple regular nineteen year old English lad, who is born in Brighton in the very south of England. I'm an only child… and I moved with my parents to New York since my dad got transferred for his work. A couple of years later I found my passion for dancing and acting, got a couple of small parts in a couple of Broadway-shows, after that I completely focused my attention on dancing and joined this academy in Boston when I was fourteen. I made awesome new friends like Wyatt, Ollie and Kirsten, won Internationals once and I live a happy live right now. Pretty ordinary story."

"Ordinary? You played in Broadway!" Emily said excitedly.

"It was nothing special, just a couple of 'one-line roles' and figurant roles." Kieran said

"Well, if you say so." Emily said with a smile. "And what about your tattoos? There has to be a story behind that."

"Let's save that story for another time alright." Kieran chuckled. A moment later a girl walked into the bar and took a seat and joined the group at the table. She was lightly tanned, had nice curly brown hair and had really nice and deep blue eyes. She looked like she was from a hispanic/latin country.

"What's up guys?" She excitedly greeted, Emily noticed that she had a slight latin accent. The girl "You are the new girl right? Nice to meet you! I'm Valèrie, but you can call me Val."

"I'm Emily, nice to meet you too!" Emily said kindly as she gave the latin girl a handshake.

"So what's up, Val?" Ollie asked.

"Nothing much, just chilling with you guys now." Val simply said. "By the way, are you guys going to Mike's party tonight.

"I'm going." Kieran said.

"Me too." Olly said.

"You know me, I never say no to a party." Kirsten said with a chuckle.

"I'm going as well with Wyatt." Emily added.

"Great, then I'm going as well!" Val decided.

"Nice to hear that!" Ollie said. "But Kieran and I need to go now, we're gonna brainstorm some idea's for our duet."

"I actually need to go as well, I promised my sister to go do some shopping with her." Kirsten said.

"It's cool guys, I guess I'll see you tonight at Mike's then." Val smiled. Kirsten, Ollie and Kieran said their goodbyes and walked out of the coffee bar., which made Emily and Val the only two persons left over.

"So now it's only the two of us." Val chuckled. " I know we really only met each other like two minutes ago, but are you up to do something together right know?"

"Sure, you seem like a nice girl… So why not?" Emily said with a smile.

"Fantastic! Drink up your coffee and we'll go!"

( NEW CHAPTER )

"Welcome to my crib." Val said with a smile as she opened the door to her apartment and welcomed Emily in. The two spent some time together the past hour. Val showed Emily in and around center for a bit and they meanwhile got to know some couple of things from each other. Emily got to know Val is a nice and caring person who can be a bit stubborn at times, she's also a person who isn't afraid to share her opinions and she always says what she thinks.

"Thank you." Emily thanked as she smiled back and stepped into the apartment followed by Val. Emily scanned the apartment quickly at the first moment she took a step inside. It was a nice and cozy place, with an interesting view of downtown Boston. The apartment was simply decorated but it had a quite personal touch to it with all the photos and paintings she had hung on the walls and placed on her desks and tables. Couple of pictures were landscapes and city skylines, but most of them were pictures of people, who may seem like family members or friends.

''Have a seat, make yourself at home.'' Val kindly said. Emily nodded as she sat on the fluffy beige sofa in her cozy living room ''Would like something to drink?"

"Sure, I'd like that." Emily responded with a smile.

"Great, I'll be right back." The Latina girl said as she left to the kitchen to get some drinks. In the meantime Emily remained seated on the sofa, she silently observed the apartment, especially all the pictures that are hanging right above the television right in front of her. They pictures were mostly pictures of people who seemed like they were from a Latin descent. Mostly group shots with a looked like a very young Val included. There was one picture that mostly grabbed Emily's attention, it was a picture of Val posing for the picture in between two people, an not very elder man and a woman, with a very bright smile. The two adults standing next to her were smiling as well and posing for the shot. They seemed to be located on a terrace with a nice green forest in the background. The noticeable thing about the two adults is that they didn't look related to Val at all. They have a lighter skin color than Val, so they couldn't be related. Who were they?

A short moment later Val returned with two glasses with drinks. "I'm back! I have nothing else but iced tea in the fridge, so I hope you like that." She said as she handed Emily the glass and took a seat next to her on the sofa.

"It's alright, I love iced tea! Thanks." Emily said as she took a sip from the glass. "So I see that you have a lot of pictures around here."

"Yeah, pretty hard to miss huh?" Val chuckled.

"A little yeah." Emily chucked. "You took them yourself?"

"Yeah, most of them." Val smiled. "I only haven't the older pictures where you can see that I'm a little kid and the photo's where I'm in myself of course."

"Well, they're all very nice." Emily complimented. "I can imagine that these pictures some type of personal meaning for you?"

"Most of them do." Val said. "But I like to do photography as a small hobby besides dancing, so a couple of these are just quick shots of something that I like. For example this one." She said as she stood up to grab a picture frame of the wall to hand it to Emily. It was a breath taking picture of a city skyline in the night time. "I took this picture like two years ago. I was seventeen at the time. One night I couldn't fall asleep, so I grabbed my phone and my camera and snook out of the house through my bedroom window. I wasn't an… Let's see, easy or well behaved kid. Anyways, I lived closely to a hill where you had a very astonishing view of the whole city. So I decided to get on top of it, capture the moment on camera and since then it became like my favorite spot ever."

"I can understand if I see this picture. It's amazing!" Emily complimented as she gave the frame back to Val who hung it op on the right spot.

"Thanks, I really appreciate it." Val said with a small smile.

"So which city is that if I may ask?" Emily questioned.

"Los Angeles," Val answered. "My hometown."

"That's awesome!" Emily replied enthusiastically. "It's like a dream of mine to go their one day."

"I'm sure you would love it over there. It's an city which has a lot to offer for almost everybody." Val said with a smile.

"Cool! So have you lived there for whole your life? Except now of course." Emily asked curiously. Val's frown slightly dropped as she heard the question. Emily noticed the expression transition on her face. "Sorry… Is that too personal?"

"No, no, don't worry." Val replied as she gave Emily a small smile. "I haven't lived their my whole life… It's just that there is quite a story behind all of this…"

"Oh… I understand if you don't want to tell me, you seem a bit overwhelmed by this." Emily softly said as she tried to comfort the Latina a bit.

"It's alright, I will tell you." Val softly said. "It's just that I don't talk so much about it, I don't share a lot about myself with others, but you look like someone that I can trust."

"Of course you can." Emily said with a comforting smile. Val smiled back and decided to start her story.

"Anyways, like I just said, I haven't lived in Los Angeles my whole life." Val started. "In fact, I've only lived there for about 9 years. And that is also the same amount of years that I am living in the United States."

"So that means you weren't born here?" Emily asked. Val nodded her head.

"Yup," Val said. "I'm born Tijuana. It's a city in the north of Mexico, very close to the border. I grew up in a poor and dangerous side of the city. There was a lot of crime, gang violence, drugs trading. It really wasn't a great place to build a future there."

"That's sounds horrible." Emily said.

"Yeah, it wasn't an easy life, I lived in a very poor family with my two older brothers and my younger sister and my parents of course." Val said as she grabbed another picture and handed it to Emily. "Like I said, we were very poor. This is my family, posing in front our house back then. It was far from great as you can see, but we had a roof above our heads. My parents struggled to get food on the plates for us every day. My father used to work like over twelve hours a day at a factory to provide for us while our mother would take care of us while he was at work. It still wasn't enough for all the whole family, so my elder brothers decided to get work as well… Well it wasn't an ordinary job, it was a job which had a lot of risks, but it could make you earn a lot of money if you did it correctly."

"What was that job if I may ask?" Emily said softly. Val took a soft sigh before she continued her story.

"They joined a gang." Val said. "They did all types of stuff dangerous and illegal stuff; from dealing to even shooting at rival gangs… I saw things that you never wished you wanted to see, especially as a innocent little kid. I saw people getting robbed of their lives in front our house… Right in front my eyes… I saw my own brother getting robbed of his. I was only nine years at the time." She softly said as a couple of tears rolled down her cheek.

"Val, I'm so sorry to hear that." Emily said as she held the hand of the Latina girl in comfort.

"It's alright Emily," Val said with a small smile. "After all that happened my parents decided it was not a safe place to live, especially for me and my little sister. They wanted us to emigrate to the United States and with the money that my father and brothers have made we had enough money to bring us over the border, well enough money to bring my mom, sister and me over the border, and let's just say that it isn't easier said than done. We were crossing the border in an illegal way and it was a cross that a lot of people wouldn't have made until end. So you can call it a miracle that the three of us made it. So after we entered this country we fled to San Diego and life wasn't a lot easier after that."

"How come?"

"Well, firstly, we lived on the streets for most of the time. Sometimes we used to stay at someone's place for a couple of nights, but otherwise we were on our own. My mom found a job as a cleaner and with the little money she earned she usually bought as food and drinks and sometimes she even made enough to stay a couple of days at a cheap motel in the city. When my mom wouldn't enough, there was no food… So I did some bad things to make sure that my mom, my little sister and me would get some food on the plates... I used to steal from people on the streets... I stole food from stores, I was a pickpocket and everything that I stole that was a bit worth of money, I sold and that's basically how we survived. That was our lives for six months, until my sister and my got picked from the streets and were placed in a shelter home for kids."

"What happened to your mother? She was left behind?" Emily wondered.

"Yes, she was. But don't worry, she turned out alright. Since we were taking she actually would make enough money for herself and could afford a much easier life." Val said. "But it was pretty hard for my sister and me. For the first time in our lives we were actually on our own. No mother, no father, no brothers. We just had ourselves. We weren't very used to the American culture. It was weird at the beginning to have full plates of food without having to struggle for it. We were actually taken care of and enjoyed being kids for the first times in our lives. We were adjusting fine until a couple of months later a married couple decided to adopt my little sister. They couple were from New York and they travelled all the way to take my little sister with them. I was devastated at the time. I was on my own and my little sister, my best friends went living her life thousands of miles away from me. I was allowed to contact her as much as possible over the phone, but it just didn't felt the same. I was a wall flower, I didn't want to socialize with the other kids, I was afraid bad things were going to happen if I befriended them, things that like happened to my brother. I got depression, anxiety and started stealing from other kids again. I was a broken and messed up kid. Despite, a couple of weeks later, a very nice middle aged couple from Los Angeles wanted to adopt me, I guess they didn't care about all the stuff that I've done and been through… They wanted me for who I was."

"So are the man and woman who are standing beside you in the picture right over there your adoptive parents?" Emily asked as she pointed at the picture on which she was thinking about earlier.

"Yes, they feel like they are my real parents now." Val said. "Like I said, I wasn't an easy kid, but they helped me and they had a lot patience with me. They were able to send me to school and they were able to afford something for me that I used to love as a kid; dancing. I used to dance at a small local dance school in my area. I danced there for like 6 years. At age fifteen, I participated for our Regionals for the first time. We became second and qualified for the Nationals quarter-finals, which included the winners and other second placed teams for Regionals for the states in the west of the country. We didn't do very well in those finals, but I was asked to join an even bigger studio afterwards in Los Angeles. In the years that followed, we managed to make great name for ourselves. At age seventeen, we participated in Nationals. I got a solo and we managed to reach the semi's. Right after that happened, Golden Stars Dance Academy offered me a place in their studio. They weren't as big as they are now, but it seemed like they had an interesting project. After having a long talk with me parents, they finally accepted to let me go to Boston at age eighteen. At first I haven't chose GSD for the studio, but for the city. Boston wasn't very far away from New York, where my sister lives with her adoptive parents, it was only a two and a half hour drive. It was a way for me to get closer to her and it worked. Weeks after I moved in, I decided to drive to New York and after almost eight years I got reunited with my little sister. Since then we see each other like every two weeks and she often stays over during the holidays."

"I'm happy for you that things worked out between you and your sister." Emily said. ''But what happened to your mom, dad and brother?"

"My mom is still in San Diego, she managed to get a better job and found herself an apartment. I haven't seen her very often since all this happened but we still talk every now and then. I hope to go to San Diego soon to go and see her with my sister. And what happened to my brother and dad? Nothing actually knows. Since we fled Mexico we were barely able to communicate with the two. So I really don't know what has happened to them. I'm not sure if my brother still works at the factory or if my brother is still in a gang… Or if they're still alive or not. We won't ever know the answer do that I guess. I really do miss them, but it's too bad there is nothing we could do about it."

"You're a very strong person, you know that right?" Emily said with a encouraging smile. "I can't imagine all the things you've been true in your life at such an young. And how you've manage to turn your life for the better according to your history, it's pretty amazing to see how much you're enjoying life right now. Although I've only known you for about an hour, but I'm very proud of you and you seem like a huge inspiration for so many people who have been through a similar situation like yours. Thank you for thrusting me enough to tell your story. It means a lot that you wanted to share it with me."

"Thanks for listening I guess." Val chuckled. "And thanks for your encouraging words. I'm not a person who talks about my past nor my feelings a lot, but I'm glad I did. There is just something about you that I like Emily. I have no idea what it is. But I have a feeling that we're going to work out just fine"

"I feel the same about you, Valérie." Emily said with a smile. Val immediately glared at the blonde girl.

"Val, never Valérie." She slowly said in a threatening yet friendly way. Emily chuckled.

"My bad, Val."

It's been hours later and Emily was finally back in her apartment, she finished her real first training and got to spend time with some of her new team mates. She decided to prepare herself for Mike's party which would start in couple of hours. She's been to a lot of parties back in Toronto, but this party was here first one in Boston and she wanted to make a good impression. She had no idea what to expect.

It was mostly a great way to get to learn her new team mates better and it was a great way to meet new people in general. It would be nice to meet other people who aren't part of the studio so everything wouldn't be too much dance related and so she can get a bigger social circle in town.

It was currently some minutes before nine o'clock and Emily was almost done preparing herself. A little moment later she heard her door bell ring. She made her way to the door and opened it only to see that Wyatt was standing on the doorway.

"Hello there, for the second time today!" Wyatt greeted as she gave the shorter blonde a hug.

"Hi there." Emily said quite cheerless as she shortly after pulled away from the hug. Wyatt awkwardly scratched his hand behind his ears.

"You really look great by the way…" Wyatt complimented.

"Thanks." Emily reacted blankly. Wyatt sighed shortly

"Look Ems, I know if been quite distant since this afternoon, and that I rushed away after practice today. It's just that today is a very weird day."

"What do you mean with 'weird day'?" Emily wondered. "Did something happen?"

To be honest, yes." Wyatt responded. "But it's nothing too serious, so don't worry about it alright?"

"How can I not worry about it if you won't tell me what happened? Does it have something to do with me, can't you thrust me?"

"Of course I do trust you, it hurts me that you even think that I don't." Wyatt said softly. "I promise that I will tell you soon alright? It's just that I need to reflect some things for myself before I am able to actually talk about it. And I barely speak about it, only one other persons knows what I'm dealing with at the moment, but I promise you that you will be the next one to know about it, very soon."

"It's alright, Wyatt. Thanks." Emily said with a small smile. "Just know that I won't judge for whatever you've done or whatever you've dealt with."

"Appreciate that Ems," Wyatt said. "Plus, I don't want to kill the mood on the same night you're having your first party in Toronto." Wyatt shortly chuckled as he playfully punched Emily on her shoulder. Emily chuckled back.

"Don't worry, you won't." Emily said. Wyatt chuckled.

"Let me get something quickly from my room before we leave, alright?" Wyatt said right before he hurried to his room. "Oh, and I do really mean that you look amazing tonight."

"Thanks, Wyatt!" Emily said with a bright smile as she saw him disappear into his room. While waiting Emily scanned the apartment. It was a regular apartment, there was nothing that really stood out. It was clean, organized and it was decorated with things that Wyatt really liked. But there was one thing that somehow catches her attention. It was a framed picture on a table. Emily stepped closer to the table to get a better look of it. It was a picture a brunette girl, she seemed like she was about Wyatt´s age. It was a very pretty looking girl who had put on a bright, loving and warm smile for the picture. She seemed very happy. As Emily even looked closer, she noticed the location this picture was taken on. It was at the lake in the park where Wyatt and Emily went this morning, the exact same spot.

As Emily heard Wyatt´s footsteps coming closer, you quickly took a couple of steps away from the table. She didn´t want to make Wyatt feel pressured about telling her things he doesn´t want to tell yet, so she decided to shut her mouth for the moment. She will definitely keep the framed picture in her mind.

"So, are you ready for your first Boston party?" Hunter asked excited as he returned to the main room. Emily grinned and nodded. "Great! Let's go then!"

(-)

A short fifteen minutes and a car ride to the other side of town later, Emily and Wyatt walked through the halls on the eight floor of Mike's apartment complex . As soon as they stepped out of the elevator, they could already hear the low bass of the music bouncing through their bodies. As they were walking very closely to the door, Wyatt slowed down walking, turned around and stopped Emily so he could face her. Emily looked at him quite confusingly.

"Okay, what are you doing Wyatt?" Emily wondered slight nervously.

"Listen Emily, before we enter this door I once again want to tell you that Mike's party are… quite something." Wyatt started. "Let's just say that they can be extreme at times. A lot of things may happen that can possibly, let's say, shock you. "

"Thanks for warning me again Wy," Emily smiled. "But I've been to a lot of parties in Toronto, I'm pretty sure I know what to expect from a party." Wyatt chuckled.

"Oh Emily, the parties back in Canada are nothing compared to what you're going to see behind this door." Wyatt said. "People can act a lot crazier in Boston compared to Toronto. In other words: They really don't give a crap about anything."

"It's really kind of you that you're looking after me and I understand your concerns," Emily started. "But I think you're slightly overreacting. I mean, it can't be that extreme, right?"

"Honestly, it isn't that bad, but I got used to it. The first time I went to a party in this city, I was like: 'Woah'. Just 'woah'" Wyatt said with a smile. "I also thought I've seen everything in Toronto, but that was surely not the case, like at all. I'm not trying to prevent you from going in or anything, but don't be surprised if certain things will happen."

"Things like what?" Emily wondered.

"Well, I think it's for the best if you see it yourself, but have you ever watched one of the 'Hangover-movies'?" Wyatt asked.

"Yeah, I have." Emily responded, but after thinking about for a couple more seconds, it finally hit her. "Oh."

"Yup." Wyatt simply said with a small smile. "But don't you worry alright, I will be by your side the entire night."

"Thanks buddy." Emily said with a small as she gave him a short hug. As soon as they pulled away, Wyatt turned around and faced the door before ringing the bell for a very long time. The loud music clearly overpowered the high pitched ringing of the bell, but it only took a couple of seconds before the door was opened.

"Wyatt, bro, you've made it!" Mike said enthusiastically as he -hugged Wyatt. "Come on in man! Everyone's here!" He said as he turned his gaze towards Emily bro. "Emily, great to see you here as well! Come in!" Mike said as he stepped aside to let his two team mates in.

"Thanks!" Emily said as she took the first steps into the house. The apartment wasn't really bright, it was lit up with a lot of colorful, flashing lights which were hung across the whole apartment. The music overpowered any type of noise anything or someone made, it seemed that he hired a DJ Mike's apartment wasn't very big, but it was surely bigger than Emily's. There were roughly over 40 people in the apartment, which most of them Emily didn't knew. Most of them were talking, dancing, having drinks and there were even couples that were making out. It also seemed like a couple of them were under (slight) influence. This whole seen looked like a typical house party that you could find in an American movie.

"Once again, welcome!" Mike said quite loudly. "Feel free to do whatever you like. Booze and snacks are over there, you can go to the balcony if you want have some fresh air, smoke or to do whatever. If you need anything I'll be around somewhere I guess. Enjoy the party and welcome in Boston!" He finally said with a smile before he rushed towards a group on the dance floor.

"So, first impressions?" Wyatt asked as the blonde girl. Emily didn't seem to hear him and kept scanning the place with a lot of attention. "Emily!" Wyatt said louder.

"What?" Emily mouthed confused It was really hard to communicate with each one and other.

"What are you're first impressions?" Wyatt asked again in a louder tone. Emily laughed unknowingly and pointed to her ears. Emily stepped closer to the boy and pulled his head down so she could talk directly into his ears.

"I really can't hear you!" Emily said. Wyatt chuckled and approached using the same way Emily used to talk to him.

"What do you think so far?" Wyatt asked for the third time."

"Well, the music is very is very loud." Luckily it's pretty good music." Emily smiled. "So what do you usually do on parties like these?"

"Not much really. I'm not that into parties, to be honest." Wyatt said. "But usually, the group and me grab a couple of drinks, have a chat with each other or others, dance if I'm in the mood and I'm usually one of the people who make sure things won't escalate too much."

"What do you mean with the last thing?" Emily wondered confused.

"As you can see, this party has some booze, and too much booze causes that people can't think or act straight anymore. As I am the captain of our team, I personally think that one of my tasks is to make your that no one does stupid things, simply said." Wyatt explained.

"So things have happened in the past during these parties?" Emily asked.

"Oh, a lot of things has happened during parties like these. It's not countable, most of these things that happened were mostly fights, but you probably wouldn't half of the things that have happened." Wyatt said with a chuckle "But I guess you're lucky, goes this party is a lot smaller than I've predicted."

"It sounds like you're dealing with a lot of pressure at times." Emily stated. Wyatt simply pulled up his shoulders.

"You get used to it, I guess. Besides, I'm not saying that I dislike it. I like to take care of others, mostly my family. And most members of our team are like family to me." Wyatt said. "Most of them." He said slowly as he locked his eyes on someone in the other side of the room. Emily noticed he was focusing on a someone as soon as he said that. She turned around to see who Wyatt was referring to. Emily barely knew anyone one at this party, but she did recognize someone in the small crowd. It was the red-haired dancer from the studio. Wyatt told Emily earlier that it's for the best to keep as much distant from her as possible. The red-haired girl noticed to the two looking at her and gave them a glare in return, Emily and Wyatt decided to pay their attention elsewhere.

"I know you told me earlier that that girl is bad news, but what happened?" Emily wondered.

"I'm going to give you a little summary of what happened to Raquel, but we call her Rachel" Wyatt started. "She was the dance captain of this team for nearly three years, until one day she wasn't anymore."

"But you're the captain now?" Emily stated confused. Wyatt nodded.

"True, I took it over this year." Wyatt said. "Rachel was and still is a great dancer. But she has a way of threating people which in unacceptable in any way. The team gave her multiple chances, but after every promising restart, she finds a way to blow it big time."

"So after you've became dance captain-"

"Yup, she disliked me." Wyatt said. "Even more than she used to."

"Even more? What happened then." Emily asked.

"Believe it or not, but Jess used to be nice." Wyatt said. "We used to be friends when I just moved to Boston. We've had a great friendship for years, but she suddenly got romantic feelings for me, but I didn't feel the same. I would have loved to remain friends with her, but she couldn't accept the fact that I didn't love her the same way as she did for me. And it probably has bothered her forever since. She started threating me and others like crap and it just gotten more worse since I became the captain."

"But if she's such a terrible person, like you've described. How came she isn't suspended or sent away from the studio?" Emily asked.

"Well, as much as I would like that, it would be a huge mistake if we did. She is without a doubt one of the better, if not the best dancer that we have in the studio. Releasing her would mean suicide for us, we really need her." Wyatt explained.

"That's actually quite sad if you think about it." Emily said. "Don't you think that she often feels alone? I know the feeling of having all people against you, it isn't fun you know?"

"Oh, it's not like she doesn't have friends at the studio, she is pretty close with some of our team mates; the one who is currently abroad and Zack, that guy over there." Hunter said a he shortly pointed to a tall blonde curled boy who was standing next to Rachel. "He is surprisingly nothing like Rachel, he is a cool guy and all, but he likes to be on his own most of the time. Great dancer, he really has a passion for it. Don't know how these two ended up together as friends, but as long as it makes them happy right?"

"Right." Emily said. As she shortly watched the Jessy and Zack from a distance.

"Oh, Emily, please consider my advice my advice to stay away from her for a little while." Wyatt started. "You aren't her favorite person at the moment." Emily gave him a surprised yet confused look.

"Why? I haven't even spoken to her properly." Emily said.

"Well, you took something away from her." Wyatt simply said.

"No, I haven't." Emily said.

"I'm pretty sure you did," Wyatt responded. "Her solo."

"Her what now?" Emily wondered shocked. "I probably didn't heard you correctly. I thought you said solo."

"I did, you took her solo." Wyatt said. "And she's pretty much pissed about it." Emily thought about it for a bit.

"So basically, the solo was originally hers?" Emily asked. "Like she was promised this solo at the Internationals?"

"Yup."

"So after you gave me the envelope, assuming that I was going to say yes straight away, the solo was still hers, correct?" Emily asked again.

"Pretty much, yeah."

"So, after I haven't replied for a while, the board decided they really wanted me so bad, that they basically took the solo away from according to you, the best dancer of the studio, and handed it to me without any hesitation?" Wyatt simply nodded his head.

"Yes." Wyatt answered. Emily reacted with confusion and slight panic.

"No shit that she hates me!" Emily said. "That's horrible! Me, a complete stranger to her, took away something she probably worked for years."

"It sounds pretty bad, if you put it that way." Wyatt nervously said. "But it didn't went exactly that way. Like I earlier said, Jess has some issues she can't seem to solve in the form of threating people correctly. She also had done a lot of other things which aren't tolerable. She had numerous chances, so this was the only way to penalize her. She already had this coming, so this is in no way your fault." Emily seemed a bit relieved now.

"Do you promise that?"

"Of course I do." Wyatt said with a smile. "Enough about this alright, let's try to enjoy this party okay." Emily nodded. "Great! I think I see the gang over there." Wyatt was referring to Kirsten, Ollie and Val, one of his better friends at the studio and the group he usually hangs out with. They were standing closely at the door which gave entry to the balcony. Wyatt and Emily shuffled their way through the busy apartment and finally made it to the group of three.

"Hey guys." Wyatt greeted as he walked up with Emily on her side. "Remember Emily?"

"Hey Wyatt!" Kirsten greeted excited.

"Hey guys." Ollie greeted. "How could we forgot Emily? We hangout briefly this afternoon at

Coffee shack."

"Great to see you again." Emily said with a smile.

"Likewise." Val said as she smiled back at the blonde girl before looking at Wyatt. "I'm surprised to see you here tonight, didn't you need to be somewhere?"

"Nope, I don't," Wyatt simply said. "Can't a guy just go to party to have some fun for the night?"

"Well, she is right to, Wy. It is that day, you know?" Ollie added. "Are you sure you want to be here?"

"What are they talking about Wyatt?" Emily asked confused.

"Don't worry about it Emily, it's no big deal." Wyatt said. "And I really rather just be with you guys tonight."

"If you say so man." Ollie said. It remained silently awkward for a while before Kirsten decided to break the ice."

"So, Emily. First Boston party, right?" Kirsten asked with a smile. Emily nodded in response.

"Yeah, it is. I really like it so far." Emily said.

"Great, so how were the parties in Toronto like?" Kirsten continued.

"Not as wild as in Boston, that's for sure." Emily chuckled.

"Oh, this is not compared to the L.A. parties." Val said with a chuckle. "If you like wild, you should go over there."

"Maybe on day, we will see." Emily said.

"So, Emily." Kirsten said. "How did you and Wyatt meet in Boston? Did you guys immediately became friends or was it faith? What was that like."

"That's quite a funny story actually, isn't it Wyatt?" Emily said with a bright smile. Wyatt smiled as well.

"It surely is Ems." He said.

"I would love to tell you guys the story, but let me get a drink first." Emily said. "Anyone want something?" As everyone friendly thanked, Emily went on her way to the small bar table which had all kind of drinks. She decided to pour herself a cup of fruit punch which was served on a large bowl on the table. As she poured down the fruity delight into her cup she was suddenly surprised by an unfamiliar voice right next to her. Emily turned for 90 degrees to face to guy who was talking to her. The guy wasn't very tall, wore a cap and was dressed very casually, it was a handsome guy in general but he seemed a bit drunk.

"Well hello there." The guy said with a smirk in a kind of deepish voice. "I have never seen you around here."

"Yeah, I'm new in town." Emily simply said. She wasn't really impressed by his attitude.

"Ah, that's what I thought. I could never forget someone who looked as beautiful as you." He said with a bright smile as he stuck out his hand to greet the blonde girl. "I'm Scott, it's nice to meet you…"

"Emily." Emily said as she shook Scott's hand.

"So where are you from Emily?" Scott asked while he grabbed a bottle of beer from the table.

"Toronto." Emily said as Scott took a big sip from the bottle.

"Wow, Canada! That's awesome." Scott said with a chuckle. "So Emily, listen up. You're extremely attractive and obviously I am as well, I mean, just look at me. I'm hot!" Emily just rolled her eyes as Scott continued talking. "And you seem like a cool chick to hangout with. So what if you let me take you out on a date sometime, you know a fancy dinner, a nice movie, a beautiful walk through the park. You know, the whole package."

"No thank you." Emily politely rejected. Scott seemed a bit shocked by her reaction.

"Uhm, did you say no?" He asked surprised. "Why?"

"I have a lovely boyfriend back home in Toronto." Emily said. Scott took yet another sip from his bottle as he chuckled again.

"Playing hard to get I see." Scott smirked as he took a step closer towards Emily.

"Well, I'm not interested."

"But Emily." Scott said with a smile. "Your boyfriend doesn't have to find out about any of this. We don't have to go a date if you don't want to. We could do something else instead." He said as he took another step closer and slightly brushed Emily's arm. Emily started to get more uncomfortable around this guy.

"Leave me alone, alright!" Emily said in a louder tone and pushed his hand away from her arm. No one seemed to really notice what is happening since the music is extremely loud.

"Come on Emily. I know you want this." Scott said as he literally stood a few inches away from Emily. "I live nearby, let's spend the night at my place." Emily tried to push him away and so she could walk away from him, but Scott made sure that she stayed on her place.

"Just let me go, you freak!" Emily screamed as she tried to pull herself out of his grip, but he did not heed that.

"Hey, let her go!" A girl right behind Scott said. Scott let go of Emily and turned around the face the person who interrupted him. "I said let her go." She said once again. Scott stared at her for a moment and suddenly started laughing.

"And who the hell do you think you are." He said directly at her.

"That's not really important right now. It clearly sounded that that girl over here needed some help, so here I am." The girl said. "And before you say or do something you may regret after you wake up completely hung over in a couple of hours, I'm gonna just take this away from you. You've obviously had way too much mate." The girl said as she slowly took the bottle of beers from his hand and put it on the table. "See? I'm just trying to help alright?" Scott started laughing again directly at her face.

"You're funny you know, but you better back of right now, girl." He said in a slighter annoyed tone. The girl chuckled and put on a more intimidating voice on herself.

"Okay listen dude." She started. "I recommend you we do this the easy way, which is. You leave this girl and everyone else alone, leave the party, let someone drive you home and just go to sleep. Or we could do this the hard and believe me; you don't want to do this the hard way." Scott didn't seem really impressed by her words and walked up pretty fast paced towards the slight shorter girl.

"Again, I have no idea who the heck you are, but you better watch yourself before-" Scott came really close to her and before he could finish his sentence, the girl smacked him right across his face which caused him to knock down immediately. It the moment he fell to the ground it grabbed almost everyone's attention, even the loud music abruptly stopped. Everyone attention went to the girl who just knocked out a drunk guy without any effort. She didn't seemed too bothered by all the attention. Instead she just slowly walked up to Emily.

"Hey, are you alright?" The girl asked worried. The girl looked a bit younger than her, she was also a slightly bit shorter than Emily, maybe just be a couple of inches. She had long dark-brown hair with red highlights attached to it. She had big pretty brown eyes and had she had a noise piercing. She had a very dark style of clothing, all black mostly. She didn't look a like a goth-type, but she surely seemed like a rebel-type. Emily also noticed that she had tattoos under the sleeves of her black leather jacket. She really looked like someone she has already met, but she really couldn't put her finger on it.

Emily was clearly still in shock of what have happened in the past minute. The girl who helped her out was watching her in her in a quite worried way. Scott was still laying down in on the floor, but he seemed alright, a small crowd of people was forming around him. On the other side Wyatt and the rest of the group of the group came rushing through the busy apartment. Wyatt firstly noticed the half conscious Scott on the floor and then looked at Emily.

"Emily, are you okay?" Wyatt asked with slight panic. "What the hell happened?"

"Yes, I'm alright. Thanks to her." Emily softly said as she pointed to the girl who've just helped her. Hunter and the rest turned around to see at who Emily was pointing at.

"Lilly?" Wyatt stated surprised. "You're back?" Lilly smiled shortly and nodded.

"Hey guys, and yes I am back." Lilly said.

"But you were just gone for about three days." Ollie said.

"Yup, I got the closure I needed." Lilly sadly said. "I didn't want be there longer than needed, plus, I really missed you guys."

"Well, it's great to see you back!" Wyatt said. "But what happened here."

"Well, I saw this guy over there bothering this cute blonde over here. So when he didn't seem to stop anytime soon I decided to take matters into my own hands… Or fists, to be correct." Lilly said with a chuckle. "And are you sure you're okay?" She asked again as she looked directly at Emily.

"Yes, I am. Thanks again for your help." Emily said gratefully. Lilly smiled.

"No problem. Very often there are types like these at parties which serve these type of drinks, you often gotta watch yourself, but you'll get used to it." Lilly said. "Not sure if I heard it correctly, but you're Emily right?"

"Yes, I am."

"Ah, so you're the new dancer from Canada! Well, this was an interesting introduction." Lilly said as she stuck out her and. "I'm Lilly, it's nice to meet you. I'm in the team as well." Emily smiled back and shook her hand.

"Likewise Lilly."

"Great! Well, I better get going. I guess I see you guys at the studio soon. Great to see you guys again!" Lilly said as she said her goodbyes. "Nice to meet you again Emily." With a smile the brunette walked off to the other side of the apartment and disappeared into the crowd of partying teens.

(-)

"Well, that was scary." Emily exclaimed as she took a sip from her fruit punch. It was five minutes later since the whole incident and the group took a less crowded spot in the apartment to hangout.

"Well, to make you feel better, everybody here surely has been approached by someone drunk on a party." Kirsten said. "Haven't we guys?" Everybody stuck their hands in the air and mumbled yes.

"In fact, I haven't ever been to a party where that didn't happen." Val said. Ollie nodded his head.

"Relatable, I guess it's a pretty ordinary thing here." He said. "But hey, it does keep the night interesting." Ollie said with a smile. Emily chuckled.

"I guess you're right." Emily said. "I guess there is a first time for literally everything."

"That's true." Wyatt said. "We won't let anything like that happen to you again, Ems"

"We won't keep you out of our sight during the party." Kirsten said. "Unless, we need to go to the toilet or something." Emily laughed a little.

"Speaking of that, I actually need to go to the bathroom." Emily said.

"You need one of us to go with you?" Val asked.

"I'll be fine guys, thanks." She said with a smile. Emily just walked away with the half-full cup of fruit punch still in her hand. As she was just about to enter a door of the bathroom nearby, she unknowingly knocked up to somebody causing it to spill her drink all over the person's top. Emily looked up at the person and it probably gave her one of the biggest shocks in her life. It was Rachel. The red-headed girl stood in shock and disbelieve and stared at her white top who just turned pink because of the stains, before she looked up to Emily with hatred filled in her eyes.

"You!" Rachel exclaimed with a loud and angry voice. "You ruined my favorite top!"

"Oh my- I'm so sorry Rachel! It was an accident! I didn't meant to do this!"

"Oh, sure you didn't!" Rachel proclaimed sarcastically. At that moment Wyatt came in between the two girls.

"Rachel, you need to chill! It was obviously an accident." Wyatt said as he stood in front of Emily in a protective way. Rachel laughed in disbelieve.

"Accident?" She wondered. "Just like it was an 'accident' how you stole my solo?"

"She had nothing to do with that alright." Wyatt said. "You f'd this whole opportunity by yourself and your behavior."

"No, I haven't Wyatt! I deserved that spot! I worked years for this chance. Since I haven't gotten it last year, I even worked harder and I finally got it! And without even telling me, they decided to give this piece of accident the solo I worked so hard for, without her even dancing here at our studio for a day!"

"Listen, Rachel-" Emily tried to say something, but Rachel didn't give her a chance to.

"No! You listen!" Rachel said furiously while she pointed at her. "You! You haven't even been here for a week and yet you've managed to ruin my life. How does that feel huh? Taking away something precious and important from somebody."

"Leave her out of this okay?" Wyatt said as he raised his voice at her. "Rachel, I understand that you're frustrated with this whole situation. If you want to talk about in a quiet and mature way, we can do that, but leave Emily out of this alright?" Rachel took a step closer towards Wyatt.

"Oh. Now you want to talk huh?" Rachel said sarcastically. "Probably since it's your duty as a captain, that you also took away from me."

"Like seriously Rach, what is your deal?" Wyatt said. "You keep blaming everyone else for your mistakes, but you really need to get your shit together! It's been happening for way too long now." Rachel snapped like she was about to snap at this point.

"Well, this shit happened because of you! And you know that damn well Wyatt!" Rachel said furiously. "I welcomed you here when you were new in town. I guided you through school here. I helped you joining the studio. I made you feel at home in this city. I was your first friend in this city, Wyatt. You had no idea how much I cared about you!"

"Oh, so I'm the bad guy in this whole situation?" Wyatt said as he chuckled in disbelieve. "You've done things that screwed us up, don't forgot that."

"Things that screwed us up?" Rachel wondered. "You're unbelievable… I only got a crush on you, I have let you know about that. Heck, you even rejected me, and believe it or not, I was okay with that! I didn't want to do anything to ruin our friendship but then you suddenly abandoned me of your life. Have you ever known how miserable I felt after that? You just let me hanging while I probably needed you the most. I only had two real friends at the time, and you were one of them."

Emily slowly tucked Wyatt on his arm. "Wyatt, let's get out of here." She softly said in a worried tone. But Wyatt didn't respond to Emily's words. Instead he remained still and listened to what more Rachel had to say.

"The funny thing is, that that even wasn't the most hurtful part. After you've stopped talking to me, ironically you began dating my only other friend left. And guess what, she left me hanging too. But you know what, a couple of years after all of that, I found at that karma is real."

"Stop it." Wyatt softly said.

"I lost people that I loved and cared about, and it was about time that it happened to you as well."

"Stop it!" Wyatt said in louder tone. He clearly tried to control himself.

"You had finally got to feel what I what I've felt for what felt like eternity." Rachel said in a slowly way as she took a step closer towards Wyatt. "You know what, when I found out that Melissa passed away, I didn't feel any pity, guilt or regret-"

"SHUT UP ABOUT HER!" Wyatt angrily yelled at directly at her face. "You have no right speaking about her like this!"

"I used to care about her as much as you did Wyatt." Rachel said. "I actually think you don't care about her that much at all."

"You take that back!" Wyatt said.

"No, really Wyatt. I reckon today is Melissa's first death anniversary, isn't it?" Rachel said with a chuckle. "But wait, instead of commemorating her, you're here partying with your friends instead. You are such a trophy boyfriend, she was so lucky to have you as a boyfriend!" She said sarcastically.

"You know Rachel, I actually felt sorry for you, I felt pity for you. I know I haven't been the most innocent person as well, but I've dealt way too long with your shit." Wyatt slowly but directly said to her in a stern voice. "You're going to end up all alone if you continue like this, Rachel. Everyone you care about, seems to get out of your life. You know what that means? Toxic. You are toxic. You need to get help. Seriously." With these words Wyatt stormed in to the crowd and left the apartment in a rush. Emily and Rachel still stood there for a couple of seconds. Rachel death glared Emily for a couple of seconds before she turned around and walked of. Emily wanted to make sure Wyatt was alright so she decided to go after him. As you managed to get through all the dancing teens, all she needed to do was to get through the door, but as she stepped on the door opening she was pulled towards the hallway of the apartment complex by some strong arms. Emily looked up at the person to see who it was. It was Wyatt's best friend.

"Kieran? What the heck man!" Emily said. "You scared me! What are you doing here? I thought you couldn't make it?"

"I was somewhere I needed to be." The tall British boy said. "But I had to made a quick stop right here, and I really need to talk to you."

"I think I should go see Wyatt first-"

"I saw what happened in there Emily, I want to talk to you about all that. About Wyatt. Why he is acting so add today, why he rushed so quickly after training, everything." Kieran said. "So let's talk alright?" Emily slowly nodded her head.

"Alright." The two walked out of the building and searched for a quiet place to have a conversation. Mike's apartment was very close to a boulevard which had a nice view on the Atlantic Ocean. It was quite dark at the time, but the lights of the buildings and bright stars in the sky made sure it compensated it. After a short walk they took a seat on one of the benches, it was quiet on the boulevard, of course there were a couple of people taking a walk, letting their dogs out, but it was much more quieter if you'd compared this place during the middle of an evening

"So Emily." Kieran started. "First I want to show you something." He grabbed his phone from his pocket, and after taps and swipes Kieran handed Emily a phone. Emily took over a phone and she was shown a photo. It was a photo of a girl and it was the same girl she saw earlier on the picture in Wyatt's apartment.

"She is pretty." Emily asked while still staring at the picture. "Who is this girl?" Kieran gave Emily a short smile.

"That girl is Melissa." Kieran answered.

"Melissa? As in the girl Rachel was talking about?" Emily asked. "And that name on your tattoo?"

"Yes, that's right. She was Wyatt's girlfriend, my twin sister." Kieran said sadly. "Exactly today, it was one year ago that she left us… Car accident."

"I'm so sorry to hear that Kieran." Emily said.

"It's alright." He said with a small smile. "I'm pretty sure she's on a good place now. She was an amazing person. Very likeable, you couldn't not like her."

"I can imagine." Emily said. Kieran then looked Emily directly into the eyes.

"You have a sister as well right? Riley isn't it?" Kieran asked.

"Yeah, how did you know that?" Emily asked slightly confused.

"Wyatt talked a lot about her. He still does actually." He said.

"Really?"

"Yes, and let me tell you something you probably didn't knew. He still isn't over her, Emily."

"But he used to date your sister?" Emily stated.

"That's true. In the beginning of their relationship he came clean to me that he used Melissa to try to get over Riley, but that he eventually really, really liked her. At first I was quiet upset with his news that he was using her, but I really noticed that he genuinely cared about her as much as I did. He was very happy with Melissa and Melissa was very happy with him. They almost dated for three months before the tragic accident happened, but yet he couldn't manage to get Riley out of her mind, it actually got a lot force since. He got depressed, he didn't want to get near people, he didn't even want to dance… It was a really rough year for him. I think it's fair to say that he took Melissa's worse than I did."

"Wow, that's a lot." Emily softly said as she tried to process everything her team mate said.

"I know, but that isn't everything sadly." Kieran said. Like a month ago he was finally acting like his real normal self again. He was doing very fine, it seemed like he accepted the death of my sister. But then he went to Toronto… He was very excited to especially see the two of you again. He was really having a blast until the last day. It won't be anything new for you probably, the evening he and Riley kissed. He probably said that that kiss 'just' happened right? Well, I'm here to tell you that that isn't correct at all."

"What do you mean?" Emily wondered confused. Wyatt sighed.

"Wyatt planned to kissed her, Emily. He was never over her. He wanted to kiss her. Before he left to Canada, he literally said that he was going to try to make Riley fall in love with him again. I was honestly disgusted when he said that to me. I felt like it was all about Riley after all. It felt like he didn't give a crap about Melissa after all. Besides giving you that envelope, he came to Toronto for one purpose only. And when he didn't succeed afterwards, it really went pretty downhill with him again. But this whole situation knocked some sense into him; he really is trying to get over Riley, he doesn't really like to talk about her anymore. He apologized to me, about how he basically used my sister to help get over his problem. He promised that he won't do that ever again with any girl. Further he committed himself completely into dancing and the Internationals. He was even planning to apologize to Rachel for the things he had done to her in the past, but now I'm not sure if that's gonna happen anytime soon."

"Why are you telling me all this Kieran?" Emily suddenly asked. "Wyatt probably told you all this stuff in confidence."

"Believe me, I usually never do this. But it's about your little need to care of her and I would want to know that if that happened to my sister… You need to cherish the moment you have with your loved ones Emily, life is way too short. I would simply give up everything if that could bring Melissa back to us. But I can't." Kieran said as a couple of tears were rolling down his cheeks. Emily gave Kieran a comforting and warm hug.

"Thanks Kieran, I really appreciate it. And I will." Emily said as she pulled away from the hug and looked the British boy straight into his slight puffy eyes. "I'm highly confident that you're sister would be so proud of you." He gave Emily a smile in response.

"I still have one question though. Why did he rush out so quickly after training this afternoon?" Emily asked.

"Memorial." Kieran simply said. "He went to visit her grave, which is out of town. And if you're wondering why I didn't went after training and why I'm here now; My sister always told that I should never stop dancing, no matter what happens. Don't stop dancing. So I followed her advice, I didn't call of training. Of course I had a memorial for her. After I had a coffee with you guys I went to her grave as well and spent time together with family and her friends who showed up. Afterwards my family and I went home to have a small ceremony, and afterwards I thought I should just make a quick appearance at the party. Just to make sure if Wyatt was doing okay."

"Speaking of Wyatt, I would like to check up on him. Do you have any idea where he could be?" Emily asked. Kieran thought for a second.

"Well since today is that special day, I reckon he went to a place to think about her. He surely wouldn't go the her grave this late… I have no idea." Emily thought about it for a second as well and she had an idea of where he might could be.

"Is it possible that you can give me a ride?"

Emily walked through the park. It was quiet and empty. All Emily could hear were her own footsteps and the city traffic nearby. While walking she was thinking about all the things Kieran just said to her and all the things Rachel accused him of doing. She didn´t really know how to feel about that, it´s like every single emotion is rushing throughout her mind. At first she couldn´t believe Wyatt was able to do things like these, but after thinking about it, those things really add up. He was definitely a different person than that he was years ago back in Toronto. It´s pretty weird how quickly people can change. As Emily kept walking for a couple more minutes, she reached a small lake. She remembered Wyatt telling her that it was one of his favorite spots in town this morning, and she saw the picture of Melissa in his apartment with the same lake in the background. It must have been the two´s favorite spot, so Emily thought that Wyatt must have been her somewhere, and she was right about that. She saw Wyatt standing on the edge of the lake, he wasn´t facing her at all. Instead he was staring at a bouquet of white roses floating away from him on the lake. Emily clearly noticed that he was having a moment on his own, Emily respected that and decided to approach him slowly; step by step. When Emily finally was close enough to him she decided to just wait and watch him. He still had no idea Emily was there. Minutes passed by and all Emily could hear were a couple of sobs and sniffs coming out from Wyatt. A moment later Wyatt seemed done and turned around and was in quite some shock to see Emily. Wyatt wasn´t in a really good state, it just seemed like he´s been crying a lot. He seems broken. Emily took a couple of steps closer to him.

"Kieran told me everything Wyatt." Emily said softly. Wyatt didn't said anything, he instead looked down trying to avoid eye contact with Emily. She could see the tears rolling down from his eyes. Emily came closer and eventually just hugged her friend without saying anything and she didn't let go for a very long time.

End Chapter 14

So this was it, I hoped you enjoy this chapter! Let me know what you thought about this and if you're willing to read more about Emily's relations in Boston. But for the upcoming chapters I'm surely sticking back to all The Next Step drama we all love and adore : )

I'm not sure if you like these long chapters, but you can't expect any chapter this big in a while, hahah.

Anyways thank you for reading. Stay safe and I'll see you with a new chapter pretty soon! I promise ;)
