"Mom! Dad! Brenda stole my T-Shirt again!"
"I didn't! KJ is lying!"
"Then why are you wearing it?"
"Because it's mine. My name's on it, right there"
"You drew on my t-shirt with a permanent marker?"
"No it´s my T-shirt KJ!"
Brooklyn smirked at the arguments between her two children and Kenji once ran a hand through his hair, in playful annoyance.
The Twins could be best friends or declare war on each other. It even depended on the day's form , whether they hugged each other or argued like angry compys.
And right at that moment, the two kids were to fight about a t-shirt.
"Were we like that back then...so...about fights...Brooks?", Kenji wanted to know and tucked one of the pink strands of hair behind his girlfriend's ear.
"You're really asking me about our behavior at camp right now? Be glad we managed to rebuild the old tree house and get the solar powered elevator going. But...you were such a headache, mostly when you stole my Jeans Kenji," Brooklyn teased, kissing her confused-looking boyfriend on the cheek, before answering the twins' calls and walking into the right directon. It took Kenji a moment to realize that Brooklyn was only joking and he followed her into the lounge.
"The Jeans looked much better on me back then!", he exclaimed and the young Parents didn't have to look long , until they found their Children in the lounge. The twins were about to rip the t-shirt back and forth, trying to win this simple T-Shirt just for themselfes.
"Our 10 year old Twins are trying to fight over a t-shirt, there are a number of this T-Shirt styles at the souvenir store," Brooklyn just shook her head about that information, KJ let go of the t-shirt and started to explain to his parents, that it wouldn't be the same.
"But Brenda wrote her name on it and..." Before KJ could finish his sentence, Brenda playfully pushed him backwards and ran towards the Elevator with her t-shirt , to escape with her stolen price.
KJ saw only his twin sister's hair of pink and black colors rushing away , before the elevator doors closed.
"I'm sure she's also bragging to your cousins about this, don't you both have the same t-shirt anyway?", Kenji smiled and gave his son a hand, to pull him back to his feet.
"But it's my t-shirt Dad. Mine. It was my first choice for my 9th birthday...i choose it all by myself, not you or Mom or Brenda...just me..." KJ insisted, although his mood lifted , when he heard his cousins were coming around.
"The others are coming too? Also Aunt Yaz with Uncle Ben and Aunt Sammy with Uncle Darius?", KJ's eyes lit up when his parents confirmed , that the others would also be coming to the rebuilt camp.
"Darius and Sammy were on a research mission on the other end of the Island, they left their children with Yaz and Ben. It's nice when we're all together again", Brooklyn said happily and followed KJ to the elevator together with Kenji.
"Yeah. I've been so bored during the whole three days , without my little bro's dino-nerd Informations", Kenji joked, hitting the elevator down button.
The sun beamed off the glass window front and set the elevator in motion.
Kenji didn't notice , how Brooklyn giving him a sideways smile. She was proud of her boyfriend. Proud to have such a great partner by her side, such a wonderful father to twins Brenda and Kenji-Junior and to have such a great bond of friendship and trust, with the now 26 year old Kenji. Plus, KJ looked so much like his father, except for the eyes, because KJ had Brooklyns Eye Color.
Who would have thought that almost 11 years ago?
Brooklyn remembered, how annoying and dumb, she was thinking about Kenji Kon. At that time nobody could have known , that a catastrophe would break out in Jurassic World.
And the former youth participants of Camp Cretaceous would be forgotten. Everyone suspected that the youths were dead.
Lucky Brooklyn knews better.
And now she wouldn't trade her life with her boyfriend, her children, and the extended family that the six campers had become - for anything.
Maybe for a smartphone with WiFi or a pair of new shoes...in her Dreams. She got along well with this new way of Life. It wasn´t like her old social media focused Life...it was different.
But in general, Brooklyn was satisfied and happy.
Unaware, that this life would soon throw more Challenges at her and all other young adults, than the trustful and friendly Ankylosaurus Lady Bumpy could ever carry.
