RWBY: The Lost Kingdom

Chapter 4: A Night to Remember

Ruby had no idea what to do or what to think. After she and the rest of the teammates accepted Tiana's offer they were told that they would depart to the other world the day after tomorrow.

It has been one day since and that meant that the day they would go on their quest would be the very next. Taiyang gave more details to each of the teams telling them that they must be at the airport for 7 A.M. sharp and they cannot be any minute later.

"But what are we supposed to do…?"

Ruby said to herself as she stared up at the ceiling in her bed. Right now she was in her dorm room along with Blake who was reading a book by the desk. She was wearing her battle outfit which was a black dress consisting of a long-sleeved blouse with a high collar and red trim on the sleeves, over which was a black waist cincher with red lacing up the front, and a matching skirt with red lining and a red petticoat. She also was wearing a pair of thick black tights that faded to red near the bottom, and black combat boots with red laces, red trims around the top, and red soles. Her outfit is topped by a red hooded cloak fastened to her shoulders by cross-shaped pins. Her emblem appears as a large silver buckle on her wide black belt, which is slung around her hips at an angle. Attached to her belt are a pocket and a row of bullets.

The red-haired girl tried to sleep but she was plagued with nightmares of images of the black dragon they were expected to fight.

The small girl called out to her partner.

"Blake? What are you doing?"

Blake slowly turned around. She was also wearing her battle outfit which was a black, buttoned vest with coattails and a single silver button on the front. Underneath this is a white, sleeveless, high-necked, crop undershirt and white shorts with a zipper on the front of each leg. She also wears black low-heeled boots and full stockings with a color gradation of black to purple at her ankles. Her emblem is visible on the outside of both thighs just below her shorts in white. On her left arm is a black detached sleeve with a silver cuff around her bicep, and black ribbons are wrapped around both forearms. A small, loose, black scarf is wrapped around her neck, and a gray magnetic backpack is strapped to her back, hidden by her hair.

"Reading a book. It's about a magical dwarf prince trying to save an elf princess from an evil wizard."

"Huh…that doesn't sound like your usual taste. Why are you reading it?"

"W-well…" Blake cleared her throat and continued. "Since we are going to a magical world I thought it would make sense to read stories surrounding fairy tales or fictional worlds. To help prepare us for what we might be facing."

Ruby thought about what Blake said for a minute and then responded.

"I mean…would those even really be accurate to how the other world actually is? It's not like the author who wrote that book has seen an actual magical world themself."

Blake blushed realizing that Ruby had a point. Nobody in the world of Remnant knows about the other worlds except for Ozpin, Ironwood, Glynda, Lionheart, and many other Huntsmen who are close to them.

"Yeah…I doubt a children's book author is a part of Ozpin's inner circle…"

Ruby giggled slightly from Blake's remark and returned to staring at the ceiling.

After a few minutes of awkward silence, Ruby asked another question.

"Where is Weiss and Yang? They didn't say anything to me about where they were going."

Blake answered, "Weiss had on her uniform and was carrying some books so I think she was going to class."

"But why? Miss Goodwitch said we could skip classes."

The Cat Faunus shrugged.

"I guess being in class is what makes Weiss comfortable. And I'm pretty sure I heard Yang saying something about going to the gym."

"Yeah…that's Yang."

"But she looked ten times more serious when she said it. Looks like she's taking the training today seriously."

Ruby hummed.

"I guess she's on edge. After all, this might be our most dangerous mission yet…"

In the gym, Yang was currently sparring with Pyrrha who agreed to be her partner. Both female warriors were wearing their battle outfits.

The Sun Dragon and the Invincible Girl were engaged in an intense spar. Yang's hair was already coated in her fire and her eyes were bloody red. She threw thousands of punches at Pyrrha's direction which the warrior woman graciously blocked with her golden shield.

Pyrrha then managed to get behind Yang and trip her. Once she was on the ground the fire in her hair went away and she groaned while holding her head.

"Are you okay Yang?" Pyrrha asked with concern in her voice as she helped Yang up.

"Totally," Yang replied while giving the warrior woman a thumbs up. "I've been through so much worse…"

"Maybe we should take a break. We have been sparing for at least four hours now."

The blonde girl was honestly surprised by what the redhead said and gasped when she saw the time presented on the digital clock on the wall of the arena.

"Guess I was in deep on the duel. But let's go one more round-or maybe two more…?"

"…Yang…"

Yang gave a defeated sigh and sat on the nearest bench. Pyrrha sat right next to her.

"I know I said training was a good idea but I only suggested so that we could polish the skills we already have. You know we can't get stronger overnight."

"I kinda wish we could," Yang answered while she was fiddling with her thumbs. "This is the first time I've ever felt so nervous to go out on a mission and it's to some weird fantasy world."

"Facing a danger we know almost nothing about…"

Pyrrha stated while staring off into the distance.

The two girls sat there in silence for a good few minutes until Yang spoke up asking a question.

"Do you think we'll win Pyrrha? You think we can beat that dragon?"

Pyrrha sighed.

"I'm not sure…the image that Tiana showed us was…intense. It's far scarier than any Grimm I have ever seen…"

"It's not a Grimm however."

Saying those words right above them was Yatsuhashi and right by his side was Fox.

"A monster that far exceeds our understanding," Fox said aloud. "I wonder if we have the power to kill it…"

"I-I mean with all of us I'm sure we can beat that giant lizard!" Yang shouted while trying to smile confidentially.

Fox sighed.

"I can hear the fear in your voice."

"I-I'M NOT SCARED!" Yang yelled but quickly regained her composure. "I-I mean I'm a little nervous but-"

"There is no need to lie, Yang," Yatsuhashi stated while looking at the blonde girl reassuringly. "We are all afraid."

"If you pretend to act like your fear is not real it will eat you alive from the inside out," Fox said. "But if you acknowledge your fears you can grow stronger and eventually overcome them."

Yang sighed.

"I guess…"

"Are you all here to train too?" Pyrrha asked. "Do you wish to spar with us?"

Yatsuhashi smiled. "I honestly did not think we would get two extra sparring partners. If you will have us…"

The two female fighters gladly accepted the two new challengers. Yang faced off against Fox while Pyrrha dueled with Yatsuhashi.

In Professor Port's class, Weiss was sitting alone in the front of the class by the corner taking endless notes. She was solely focused on the Old Huntsman's boring words and nothing else.

"Can I sit here?"

Weiss looked up to Velvet who was smiling sheepishly at her. The heiress nodded and the bunny faunus sat down next to her.

"You need to finish some assignments too?"

"Um…I actually finished everything due this week," Velvet answered. "I just wanted to…pass the time."

Weiss nodded.

"I see…are you okay with this?"

"What do you mean?"

"Out of everyone else, you were the most fearful. You don't have to force yourself to go on this dangerous quest if you really don't think you are up for it."

"But the rest of my friends are going," Velvet held her head down. "If they go while I stay and possibly die on the mission I know I live in absolute regret. I am not the most courageous like Coco, Fox, and Yatsuhashi, or even the strongest…but they are like my family. We have been through so much together and encountered death so many times on our missions."

Velvet then turned to Weiss. She was wearing a smile but her eyes were watery.

"There is no other group I would rather live or die with. Despite my fears. And I know you feel the same way about your team too…"

Weiss stared at Velvet and nodded slowly, trying her best to look vulnerable.

"I-I guess…"

"SUUUUPPPP!"

Both Weiss and Velvet jumped from their seats as someone screamed right behind them. They turned around to see Russel and Cardin.

"What do you guys want?!" Weiss yelled.

"Mr. Thrush!"

Professor Port stood with hands at the side while grumbling.

"Please do not disrupt my class!"

"Sorry, Mr. Port!" Cardin replied. "We'll be out in just a sec!"

"W-what is it Cardin?" Velvet asked in a fearful tone.

"Come with us," Russel said, his face holding a big smile and bouncing up and down like a kid who just devoured a gallon of sugar. "We got something cool to show you guys!"

"We're in the middle of class!" Weiss stated harshly.

Cardin raised an eyebrow.

"Why? We're leaving on our mission tomorrow. You won't be here when the assignments are due."

"P-Professor Goodwitch said we can do whatever we want for today so we decided to go to class."

Velvet answered.

Russel blew a raspberry.

"That's lame! Get everyone else from your team and meet us at the gym!"

Before the two girls could ask anything else the two members of Team CRDL hurried out of the classroom.

"What are those idiots planning?" Weiss said to herself.

All five teams were gathered at the center of the gym. Cardin, Russel, Dove, and Sky had excited faces while everyone else looked at them with curiosity.

"So?" Coco questioned with a raised eyebrow. "Why did you guys call us all here?"

"What were you planning to do today?"

Russel asked them all with an excited voice. The team members at first looked at each other but then gave their respective answers honestly.

"I was just…laying in my room," Ruby said.

"Reading a book," Blake stated while shrugging.

"Training."

Yang, Pyrrha, Fox, and Yatsuhashi said aloud.

"Doing school work," Weiss answered while staring at Russel with folded arms and an unhappy face.

"Fixing up my weapon," Coco said while cleaning her sunglasses. "What's it to you?"

"LAME!"

Russel and Dove both screamed at the top of their lungs.

"You guys are so lame! That's how you want to spend your last day in this world? You're lucky our team is so generous!"

"What the hell are you talking about?" Yang asked while she was starting to get annoyed.

Cardin explained.

"Last week…Russel won the lottery."

"WHAT!?"

Everyone except for Team CRDL screamed out in complete shock.

"Which one?!" Jaune exclaimed. "No way…don't tell me-"

"Hell yeah!"

Russel took out his green lottery ticket that had big words written on it called "ONE IN A MILLION".

"I won three million lien! THREE. FRICKIN'.MILLION!"

"How come you didn't make a big deal out of this last week?" Nora asked. "Sounds like something you would do."

"He was about to, but I stopped his dumbass from going and telling everyone in the entire school about it," Cardin said.

"We used a good amount of the money to buy a room on the top floor of NEVERLAND!"

Dove yelled as he took out a bunch of blue passes that showcased fancy designs. Right in the center, written in cursive was "WELCOME TO NEVERLAND!"

"But why are you telling us this?" Ruby asked.

Cardin shrugged.

"What we're trying to say is that we want you guys to come with us."

The members of Team RWBY, JNPR, CFVY, and SSSN's eyes opened wide.

"HUH?!"

Russel nodded.

"Yep! The room is pretty big for just the four of us, so be grateful that we decided to let you all in on this!"

"The Neverland Hotel," Velvet said with her eyes lighting up like stars. "The chance to go there…"

"I always heard about how great the hotel is from my friends back at Atlas," Weiss stated. "I heard that have a casino, aquarium, an ice ring, a movie theater, an arcade-"

"That's a lot!" Sun shouted.

"I'm not even finished!" Weiss replied. "That was five of over twenty activities Neverland has!"

"And it's for that reason that's almost impossible to get in! The place is so ridiculously expensive!" Sky exclaimed.

"It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," Cardin said. "And you guys are free to come if you want. You can even stay the night."

The young Huntsmen in training looked at each other with uncertainty. The first to respond was Pyrrha.

"We greatly appreciate it, but I think we shouldn't waste our time fooling around. We are going to another world with unknown dangers, we should be preparing for it as best we can!"

Cardin stepped forward, his face very neutral but also very serious.

"I get what you're saying, but I can tell by just looking at all of you that you're stressed as hell! You guys are going to run down your lifespans before we even get to the damn dragon!"

The members of the respective teams wanted to argue, but not even they could disagree with Cardin's words.

Cardin continued, "Professor Goodwitch said that today is our last day in our world before we go. If we never return to Remnant for whatever reason do you honestly want your last memory to be you guys wallowing in despair?"

The group stayed silent for at least a minute. The one to break that silence was Jaune who walked up to Cardin.

"I'll come."

"J-Jaune?" Pyrrha questioned.

"Cardin's right. I don't want the last memory of my home to be regretful. It should be a memory that brings me happiness. We all deserve that much."

"Y-you're right!"

Ruby said aloud as she approached Cardin and Jaune.

The red-haired girl looked up at the brute and asked, "What kind of video games do they have?"

Russel came from behind Cardin and answered, "They have that new karate game on the KX7 called Nino!"

"Oh! I saw the trailers! I love that one!" Ruby squealed. "I'm sleeping over!"

"Place sounds sweet! We're coming too!" Sun said aloud with the other members of Team SSSN agreeing with him.

"How much is the food there?" Ren asked Russel.

"We got you guys the VIP pass! You don't have to pay for food!"

"That's all I need to hear!" Nora grinned. "Let's go, Ren!"

Ren sighed, "Would be a shame to miss an opportunity like this. Alright."

"It beats reading children's fairy tales," Blake said. "Count me in."

"Well if Ruby and the rest of you guys are going, I might as well too," Yang stated as she scratched her head. "Just let me take a shower first, I am drenched in sweat."

Weiss scoffed.

"Well, the last thing I want is to be alone in this school. Plus, somebody with an adult mind needs to be there so that our child of a leader doesn't destroy anything that may cost millions of lien."

"I'm not some insane toddler Weiss!" Ruby pouted.

"Coco?" Fox tapped his leader on the shoulder. "What do you want to do?"

Coco shrugged.

"I don't know. The place sounds exciting, but I'm not gonna go if you guys aren't. I know that type of place isn't really your style."

"What do you mean?" Yatsuhashi replied. "I honestly want to go."

Velvet, Coco, and Fox turned to Yatsuhashi with a look of pure surprise.

"Y-you want to go Yatsuhashi?" Velvet questioned her tall teammate.

"Of course, it sounds fun."

"Really?" Coco could not help but chuckle. "After knowing you all this time this just seems so out of character for you. All you usually do is mediate and train."

Yatsuhashi smiled, "Hey now! I'm a kid too! I want to enjoy my youth."

Fox nodded.

"You have a point. We should have the chance to enjoy ourselves. If you plan to go then so will I."

"Jeez!" Coco huffed. "Well, I'll seem like a lame if I don't tag along now! What about you, Velvet?"

"I-I…" Velvet stuttered. "I-I'll go…"

Pyrrha was the last to comment. She stared at everyone who now seemed excited. And then her eyes landed on Jaune who smiled so sweetly at her.

The Invincible Girl blushed.

"O-okay…I guess going to the hotel is not a bad idea…"

Russel cheered aloud while jumping in the air.

"Hell yeah! All of you guys have to be at the front of the Neverland by 6 p.m. See you then!"

Team CRDL then hurriedly left the training room.

After putting on casual clothes and packing all of the things they needed, the four teams walked through the streets of Vale.

Ruby was wearing a black sweat jacket over another red hood that had her emblem in the center. She wore a red beanie on her head and short black pants with red sneakers. Weiss wore a blue sweater with long jeans. Blake was clothed in a long-sleeved black dress shirt with a white sweater tied to her waist white shorts and black sneakers. And Yang was wearing a biker jacket with a very creative symbol of a golden dragon on the back. The fiery orange letters spelled our "UNBREAKABLE". She had long ripped black pants while her belt had spikes.

Jaune was wearing a casual black shirt while wearing two scarves that were orange and teal. He also had a long black jacket over it. Pyrrha was wearing a white t-shirt over a black leather jacket, ripped jeans, and black boots. Nora was wearing a pink hoodie with a picture of a cute cat in the center, she had light pink headphones around her neck while wearing short jean pants and white sneakers. Ren was clothed in a long green shirt with brown pants and dark brown shoes.

Coco was wearing a short-sleeved black hoodie and short jeans. Fox wore a red tank top that read "INVISIBLE" with ripped jeans. Velvet wore a white t-shirt that read "Sweet Buns" with jeans. Yatsuhashi was wearing a black dress shirt with gray dress pants and fancy black shoes.

Then there was Sun who was wearing a white hoodie that read "SAGE EQUAL TO HEAVEN" while wearing short ripped jeans. Scarlet wore a short white dress shirt while also wearing brown dress pants and brown dress shoes. Sage was in a black tank top and jeans while Neptune was in a red t-shirt that read "LADIES MAN" and jeans.

After a long stroll, they were now in front of a giant building that showed a title made of many colorful lights that read "NEVERLAND". There was a long white marble path with towering cocos nucifera at the end. There we massive stairs that led up to the entrance that was lit with a heavenly light. There were pink lights everywhere and people in fancy garments walking in and out of the establishment.

"Neverland…" Ruby said as she stared in awe. "This place is amazing!"

"It looks way better than it does in the pictures online!" Yang stated as she took pictures with her scroll.

"I feel like we just entered a dream…" Blake commented.

Velvet looked around and realized that some of the people who were entering the hotel were looking in her direction with disgust. The bunny faunus hid behind Yatsuhashi.

"There are some pretty important people here…"

"Hey Schnee," Coco called out to Weiss. "You wanna try out the casino?"

Weiss sweatdropped.

"I have absolutely no luck when it comes to gambling."

"HEY!"

The four teams looked forward to seeing Team CRDL. Cardin was shirtless while wearing black trunks with a fire design. Russel wore a green hoodie that read "INSANE BASTARD" and ripped jeans. Dove had a casual white t-shirt while wearing non-matching pink pants. Sky wore a dark blue sweater gray dress pants and black shoes.

"You guys made it!" Russel called out as ran up to them.

The other three members walked up and greeted everyone else. Cardin scanned around the area looking for something or someone but when he did not see it his energetic smile turned into a disappointed frown.

"Guess she's not coming," Cardin stated as he crossed his arms.

Ruby heard Cardin and asked, "Who?"

Cardin sighed, "Doesn't matter. Come on in!"

Everyone followed Cardin into Neverland. The entrance smelled like a thousand sunflowers and there were doors to many specific rooms.

"Oh hell yeah!" Yang, Nora, and Russel shouted in excitement.

The teens separated into their own groups to enjoy the activities they chose.

Ruby, Russel, and Sun were in the arcade playing multiple high-definition video games. Coco, Fox, Scarlet, and Yang were at the casino betting their luck on the dice and cards. Cardin, Yatsuhashi, and Weiss were at the bar playing pole while Dove and Nora were eating the delicious food they served (they left a destructive mess in their wake). Then at the pool, there were Yang and Sage who were having a swimming competition and Blake was off with Ren watching the magnificent aquatic life in the aquarium. And then Jaune, Pyrrha, Neptune, and Velvet went to the ice ring. Neptune and Velvet were paired together looking pretty decent skating across the ice. And there was Jaune and Pyrrha who kept slipping and falling but still laughing aloud and having lots of fun as they held onto each other.

Finally, there was Sky who was alone watching a historic movie in the theater about The Great War. He started to cry as one of the characters died in battle.

"I knew he was going to get shot with that bullet but-" Sky blew his gross snot into his tissue. "It's still so sad when I see it on screen!"

"Pathetic…"

A judging and harsh voice could heard from Sky's left. The blue-haired boy turned and only hummed when his suspicions were confirmed.

"There you are. Cardin was looking for you! We told you to get here at 6!"

The holographic clocks on the walls of Neverland read 9 and the young huntsmen in training were now bored with their respective activities. They all met up at a bar either drinking beer or soda (Ruby was forced to drink soda because Yang would not let her have alcohol).

"You guys wanna head to the room?" Cardin asked the group. "We got more food, drinks, and big screen TV. We can keep the party going!"

"A thought just crossed my mind," Weiss interjected. "Cardin, your team only bought one room correct?"

"Yep!" Russel answered. "Any more and I would have kissed that three million lien goodbye! I still got two more to spare!"

"Okay…but you told us to bring our luggage. How are all of us going to sleep in one room?"

"I told you the room is HUGE!" Cardin replied. "You can fit four families in there. However, there are only two beds. One king-size bed and a couch in the living area that can turn into a bed. We can discuss who sleeps where when we get there."

"I call the king-size bed!" Neptune said aloud with his hand raised. "And if any of you lovely ladies wanna join me~..."

"Bah! You wish!" Nora laughed aloud.

"Alright let's go!"

"Hey, Cardin!" Dove called out. "What about Sky?"

"He's probably up in the room already. I mean all he was doing was watching some boring movie about The Great War."

"A movie about The Great War…no way!"

Weiss ran up to Cardin and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. She looked absolutely insane.

"Was the movie called The Mighty Artorius!? I heard that wasn't coming out until next month!"

"It's out here," Dove said. "The theater in Neverland gets early access to movies that haven't even been released yet!"

"I want to see it!" Weiss shouted.

"The theater closes at 9," Yatsuhashi bowed his head. "Me and Coco tried to go but they closed the doors on us. Sorry, Weiss."

The heiress fell to her knees and cried.

"It's not fair! Why does that blue-haired jerk get to watch one of the most acclaimed movies before me?! What did I do to deserve this?!"

Yang laughed at Weiss's dismay while Blake tried to comfort her.

The teens made their way to the fifth floor of Honey Robin which was where Team CRDL's room was located. The hotel itself has eight floors and floors five to eight were the most expensive and luxurious.

They went to the end of the corridor was a door that had the number 503F.

"We got a balcony," Cardin stated with a smile. "Get ready to witness something amazing…"

The brute put his card key to the reader which lit up with a green light and played a sweet tune. The door opened to reveal a room that felt like its own support resort.

Attached to the wall was a TV that was at least 65 inches and a round silver couch in front of it. There was a small kitchen area to the right with nicely hung beer bottles and a nice-looking black counter table. And by the far end was an open door to a purple-lit room with a king-size bed. But the sight that everyone loved to the bottom of their hearts was the balcony where they could look down on the City of Vale which seemed to be lit up by many colorful lights.

"Wow…" was all Ruby could say as she continued to stare at the City of Lights.

"And you guys were going to have this room all to yourself," Coco said playfully as she elbowed Cardin in the stomach. "You jerk!"

Cardin chuckled.

"Hey! We opened this room to you didn't we?"

"You finally made it."

The group turned around to the couch to see an unexpected visitor. It was Tiana, drinking wine from a glass and staring at them with annoyance.

"What's she doing here?" Yang asked as she frowned disapprovingly.

"We invited her," Cardin answered.

"You invited the princess?" Ren questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"We figured it would be a good time for all of us to catch up."

Saying these words was Sky who came out of the bedroom with a book in his hands.

"We're going to be traveling with her and trying to protect her. Might as well get to know her."

Blake replied, "I mean…that makes sense but-"

"Don't bother."

Tiana said quickly as she took another sip from her wine glass.

Weiss folded her arms.

"Excuse me?"

"I have no intentions of getting to know any of you. After all, most of you will probably die on the first day of the journey."

Everyone frowned at that remark. But before any of the hotheads could lash out it was Ruby who approached the princess with a very calm expression.

"We understand why you don't want us on this journey. You were promised Huntsmen and we are…not that. But-"

Ruby looked straight into Tiana's silver eyes, her own silver eyes starting to shine like stars which brought a strong feeling of nostalgia inside the princess.

"But we promise we will give it everything we have to protect you and save the Kingdom of Aurora!"

Tiana continued to stare at Ruby with an unreadable expression for about a minute before eventually scoffing and turning away.

"Whatever," Tiana sighed. "Just don't get in my way…"

The prickly princess then stood up from the couch and walked into the room.

"What a mood," Russel said rolling his eyes.

"She was like that the entire time I was with her," Sky sighed as he proceeded to read his book.

"Let's not let her ruin our spirits," Pyrrha stated. "Let's have a good time everyone!"

"I agree!" Scarlet replied with a smile. "Anyway, Sky how was the movie?"

Sky's eyes beamed and looked at everyone with excitement.

"It was wonderful! Artorius-"

"NO!" Weiss screamed as she covered her ears. "YOU'RE NOT SPOILING THE MOVIE FOR ME!"

"Weiss," Blake sweatdropped. "Didn't you read the book?"

"STOP TALKING TO ME! NO!"

Weiss ran away while screaming as Sky playfully chased her, yelling out the movie's scenes.

The other team members laughed at the goofy scene and then broke out to do their own things.

Yang, Blake, Coco, Sage, and Nora were drinking by the counter as Scarlet and Sky were taking some pizza out of the fridge and heating it.

"There are so many mushrooms on this!" Scarlet yelled.

Yang gagged. "Gross! I hate mushrooms!"

Sky said, "There's plain pizza and pepperoni in the fridge. I'm taking it all out!"

"Do you…have any fish toppings?" Blake asked very sheepishly.

"What pizza has fish toppings?" Sky commented with a raised eyebrow. "If you want fish we got sushi."

"That's even better!" Blake said excitedly.

Coco chuckled.

"Just pass me more beer. Anybody wanna have a drinking contest with me?"

"You're on!" Sage and Nora both declared as they grabbed the biggest beer bottles.

"Nora, don't!" Ren yelled out from across the room. "Last time you were in a drinking contest you got sick and threw up all over the place!"

"You better not throw up!" Sky scolded. "We'll be charged!"

Nora blew a raspberry.

"I'll be fine!"

As Coco, Nora, and Sage started to chug down bottles of beer Yang and Scarlet cheered for them as Blake shoved multiple rolls of sushi into her mouth.

On the couch playing video games were Russel, Weiss, Yatsuhashi, Ren, and Neptune. While Weiss, Ren, and Yatsuhashi were playing a racing game Russel and Neptune stood behind them yelling and screaming.

"Weiss go left!" Neptune shouted. "You're too close to the edge!"

"Don't yell at me!" Weiss cried.

Yatsuhashi laughed. "You are surprisingly skilled at this game Lie Ren."

Ren replied, "I thank Jaune for forcing me to play those ridiculous games whenever he was bored."

"I'm next! I'm next!" Russel said while jumping up in excitement.

And in the bedroom was a whole other party. Dove and Tiana were sitting by themselves, the princess continued drinking while the no-eyed teenage boy was eating a popsicle. Sitting on the bed and watching a movie on the bedroom TV was Cardin who was fully engrossed in the movie while sipping a beer.

"U-uhm..."

Approaching him like a shy child was Velvet who slowly inched over to bed.

"W-what movie are you watching?"

Cardin swallowed a sip from his drink and answered.

"Some cop movie called "The Ones Who Make It". It's pretty damn good...wanna watch?"

"U-uh? S-sure!"

Velvet sat right next to Cardin and began watching the action pact alongside him. At first, she was frightened by the massive explosions and violence in the movie, but an hour in she was starting to cheer for the main characters are they were in a high-speed chase.

"GO! GO! GO!" Velvet cheered as she pumped her fist in the air.

Cardin chuckled.

"I told ya! One of the best movies in the kingdom!"

"Is the sequel any better?"

"It's not as good as the first but it's not bad."

"Okay, maybe we can find it on an online program. Although we should not stay up so late because we have to be at the airport at 7:40."

"I'm still so confused about how the hell a plane is supposed to help us reach another world."

"I guess we'll understand when we go."

"I guess so…"

Cardin eyes trailed off from the TV screen and landed on the side view of Velvet's face. Her happy and excited smile and the shine her eyes made the young man's heart race in a way that he never really felt before.

"Hm?" Velvet turned to Cardin, sensing his long stare.

"Is something wrong, Cardin?"

"H-huh? N-no! I was just-"

"You want to pee?" Velvet questioned while tilting her head questionably.

"No!" Cardin cleared his throat as his face got redder. "I-I was just thinking about...uhm...well-"

"CARDIN!"

The scream of Sky caused the big kid to stand up from the bed.

"What!?"

"Nora threw up all over the counter! Where are the cleaning towels again?!"

Cardin grumbled.

"Dammit!"

The brute hurried out of the room to go clean the mess.

And right outside sitting by the balcony was Ruby, Jaune, and Pyrrha. The three were mesmerized by the view.

"This…was beautiful," Pyrrha sighed in relaxation. "Actually listening to Cardin paid off!"

Jaune replied, "I agree! This was the best idea ever!"

Ruby breathed in and out as she smiled brightly. The breeze of Vale hit her face.

"This is my final day in this world…a night to remember."
