Chapter 3: Not So Smart. (3/3)

Maxwell Peverell was somehow still tired from what happened yesterday and although he was awake, he had no desire to open his eyes and he had an urge to stay like that for as long as he could. But then he remembered that he actually fell asleep on top of Nymphadora Tonks's bed. He was really pleased that he found out what her full name was and he actually liked her name .

Sadly, a worry about the Cerberus and Neville forced him to open his eyes. Only to be greeted by an unbelievably pleasant sight. The sight of Tonks, laying right besides him with her face dangerously close to his. She was sleeping peacefully, and her hair was bright blue now. I did overheard one of the Hufflepuff students commenting that she was a Metanomagus. Something that is incredibly rare, which only added to the things Maxwell likes about her. The blond boy actually had an urge to kiss her, but he controlled himself because this would be very impolite. Although, he did get a little bit closer and wrapped his arms around the sleeping Hufflepuff.

Ironically, the awakened Gryffindor got way more than he bargained for. As the sleeping Nymphadora ended wrapping her arms around Maxwell and hugging tightly, probably assuming that Maxwell was a pillow or something. Yes...Yes...Yes... The young boy thought in pure satisfaction as he was now in Nymphadora's embrace. I guess there's nothing wrong with sleeping just a little more, I'm sure Nev is okay. The blond boy thought as he decided to fully enjoy his current situation.

...

...

...

...

"Ummm... Excuse me...?" Unfortunately, he was only able to enjoy the current situation for ten minutes. As someone actually poked his back from the side of the bed.

Reluctantly, he removed himself from the older girl's embrace and turned around to see who was poking him. To his surprise, there were two girls there.

One was a girl with copper hair, in a long plait down her back. She had deep hazel eyes and was wearing simple blue pajamas.

The other girl was a pink-faced girl with blonde hair that she was wearing on pigtails and gray eyes. She was wearing a white nightshirt.

Maxwell's response was pointing his finger towards the blond girl. "Hannah Abbot." He spoke her name out loud, which surprised her and made her a little flustered. Then he pointed towards the girl with copper hair. "Susan Bones." She smiled and gave him a thumbs up in confirmation. I actually remember their faces from the sorting ceremony.

"It's great to meet you, Maxwell Peverell." Susan extended her hands enthusiastically. So Maxwell shakes it without question. "Did you really fight that Three-headed dog that was trying to enter our common room?" She asked him with a very curious face.

"No," He decided to be honest. "I simply distracted it so my chubby friend could escape and ran away from it."

"Still pretty cool, after you beat that Troll that was trying to kill one of your housemates." That was technically true.

Maxwell simply observed the girl, who was enthusiastically speaking with him. But the blond boy has a question for her as he keeps trying to remain in Nymphadora's embrace. "What happened to the Three-headed dog?" He asked the two Hufflepuffs.

"Well... Professor Sprout and the groundskeeper took it away." Hannah informed Maxwell.

"Oh, that's good..." Looking to his side where he noticed that his head was dangerously close to Nymphadora's chest. "T-thanks for informing me, but if you excuse me." He turned around to face Nymphadora. "I want to sleep a little more." Please leave... The boy practically begged as his face was only an inch away from her chest.

"More like, you want to do something naughty with Tonks." Susan saw through him easily.

The blond blushed in response while wondering if Nymphadora is really sleeping. Luckily, a snore confirmed she indeed was. Since they already know, there's no problem... Maxwell thought, before he moved his face forward and buried his face on her chest again. YES! YES! YES! YES! He thought in deep satisfaction.

"Are you some type of pervert?" Hannah asked him as he adores every second of it.

"Yes." Maxwell admitted since there was no point in denying. She smells like Butterscotch... He thought as he sniffed her shirt.

"At least he's honest about it." Susan commented while giggling over how enthusiastic he was about what he was doing.

"Don't you think it's a little disturbing to be doing that while someone is asleep?" Hannah asked Susan.

"Yes..." Susan agreed with her. "So..." Maxwell didn't really pay attention. "TONKS! WAKE UP! THERE'S A PERVERT ON YOU BED!"

"AH!" Nymphadora, who was startled by Susan's yelling, abruptly woke up and sat up on the bed with her hair turning white as a result. Maxwell, who was also startled by her sudden yelling and Nymphadora's sudden movement, ended up falling from the bed and into the floor.

"Ouch!" Maxwell grunted in pain as he fell on the hard floor, before looking at Susan with hostility. She simply folded her arms in response while giving him a goofy face as Maxwell was the one in the wrong there.

"What the bloody hell do you think you're doing?!" Nymphadora asked in anger as her hair changed colors, turning into a fire colored hair, which mirrored her current anger.

"Oh, sorry, I saw the two of you snuggling together tightly and thought there was something else happening." Susan explained to Nymphadora trying way too hard to hold her laughter.

"Ahh..." Max grunted as he stood up from the floor and stretched himself a bit. "Good morning, Dora." He said to Nymphadora.

"Morning, Blondie." She replied while scratching her hair, before it changed colors again, turning into a blond color that was identical to Maxwell's. "Sorry, but it got super hard to stay awake and I just ended up falling asleep on the bed." The Metanomagus explained her presence on the bed.

"The bed is yours." Max pointed out while waving off her explanation. "Besides, your embrace was really pleasant." He blushed a bit when said that.

Susan giggled a bit on his sudden blush while Hannah just stared at him with a semi-amused expression.

"What are you two doing here?" Nymphadora asked the two girls as that room was clearly not the room that the first years stayed in.

"The Professors and several students are outside wanting for him to go there and explain what exactly happened yesterday." Hannah explained while pointing at Maxwell, who was shaking the dirt off his silk red pajamas.

Maxwell sighed in response to that as he was already expecting and immediately tried to come up with an explanation to what exactly happened. The whole book thing could easily be deflected by him simply admitting that he actually forgot to deliver a book back to the library and tried to do so in the after hours, but how he ended up in the room where the Cerberus was is a different story entirely and he would have to come up with a good excuse for that. There was no way that what happened there was accidental, that darkness was unnatural so Quirrell clearly set a trap for me. Then he remembered the book. I have to give the book to Daphne later. Despite the clear situation that he got himself in, he has absolutely no regrets. Finally being able to bury my face on Nymphadora's chest again made this whole mess worth it. He thought as he adjusted his blond hair.

"Scale to one to ten, how pissed do they seem at him?" Nymphadora asked the girls.

"Four, they're more concerned than anything." Hannah responded.

That's odd... Not that I wouldn't expect them to be concerned over the wellbeing of the students but, wouldn't they actually consider the possibility that I let the Cerberus in... Unless they knew that he was actually already in the castle... Maxwell had a lot of questions now, but little to no answers as usual.

Suddenly, Susan moved and stood in front of him. "Does it hurt?" She asked before she poked the bruise that Blaise Zabini gave him .

"Yes," Maxwell answered her question with a painfully obvious annoyed expression. "And I would deeply appreciate it if you stopped touching it."

"I apologize for her." Hannah spoke after grabbing Susan's arm in response to that. "She has a tendency of getting too excited about things."

"That's an understatement, Hannah." Nymphadora added as she sat on the edge of the bed, allowing Maxwell to get the sight of her lovely legs once again. "Ready to face the beasts?" By "beasts" she obviously means the staff.

"Partially," He replied to her. "I could really use some breakfast first."

Hearing that, Nymphadora turned around and laid on her stomach in order to reach under her bed to grab something. Unknowingly for her, however, that allowed Maxwell, Hannah and Susan to actually see her knickers. Hannah looked away embarrassed, Maxwell simply moved his head to the side in order to take a better look at her, while Susan imitated Maxwell's gesture without the intent. This is turning into a lovely morning... That was his opinion about the morning as he looked at Nymphadora's yellow knickers. Soon enough, Max moved his head back when he saw Nymphadora standing up, and Susan did the same while giggling at him. Nymphadora actually sat back up but with a large glass cookie jar filled with Shortbread cookies. "Not much for breakfast but..."

"Ohhh... Can I have some?" Susan asked as she clearly liked Shortbread cookies.

"Go on, just don't eat everything." Nymphadora was quick to warn her. "This is supposed to last until the end of the month."

Maxwell and Susan then proceeded to grab some of the cookies to taste it. They were absolutely delicious, with a really strange but unique taste that differentiate it from the other Shortbread cookies that he has eaten. After eating six cookies, Maxwell was ready to face the staff and come up with a very convincing lie about what exactly he was doing the previous day. Susan on the other hand was trying to steal some more cookies before Nymphadora put the jar away.

"Oh, come on..." Susan whined as she placed a cookie on her mouth.

"Oh, come on what?" Tonks replied to her fellow housemate. "The cookies are mine."

"They're delicious, so I can totally understand why you're so possessive." Maxwell commented before turning his head to look at the two girls. "Thanks for coming in here to wake me up." He bowed to them respectfully, despite his remaining annoyance over the interruption of his snuggle with Nymphadora. Speaking of Nymphadora. "Thank you very much for allowing me to sleep in your bed and, although unintentionally, snuggling with me in it since it was a pleasant surprise..." He blushed a bit after saying that because of his act of burying his face on her chest while she was sleeping.

"Any time, Blondie." She smiled and messed his blond hair affectionately. "Now, can the three of you please step out so I can get change?" The older girl asked the trio.

Do I have to? Maxwell had an urge to ask that since he wasn't actually looking forward to facing the staff and he really would like to watch her get changed, but he had the sense to not do it. "Of course."

"Sorry for the way Susan woke you up." Hannah apologized to her friend.

Susan made a confused face as she was still stuffing her face with the cookies that she was able to snatch from Nymphadora's cookie jar.

Maxwell then started to move towards the exit of the room with Hannah and Susan following behind them. The small walk was quiet except for Susan's loud chewing that put Ronald's to shame. But eventually they arrived at the main area of the common room where they could see several Hufflepuff students by the entrance, clearly making some type of commotion with people arguing about something. Gryffindor, having no urge to go there, moved towards the wooden table that was in the middle of the room where he saw that there was a jug on it. I'm thirsty. Picking the jug and sniffing it, he realized that it was Pumpkin juice. Turning around, he signalled to Susan if she wanted some because of the cookies she was eating. Susan nodded before approaching him and grabbing a cup, which Maxwell filled it up with juice right away before filling one for himself. As the two drank, they both moved their head to look at Hannah, who had her mouth wide open in confusion before she pointed at the entrance, where everyone was waiting for him. Maxwell simply signalled her to wait a bit as he appreciated his cup of Pumpkin juice calmly since what was going to happen next was probably going to be unpleasant. Hannah responde by looking annoyed, but then she approached them and also picked up a cup to drink some of the juice as well, which Maxwell gladly served for her.

The three of them kept enjoying their drink for about a minute or two since they all decided to refill their cups after it was finished.

Until...

"Hey..." Cedric Diggory actually entered the common room and noticed the three of them standing there. "What took you guys so long?"

"Tonks gave us cookies." Susan responded as she ate the last cookie.

Suddenly, everyone that was standing by the entrance turned around and noticed Maxwell standing there. Sadly, his very expensive pajamas made him stand out like a sore thumb. The blond barely reacted and just finished his juice. This is going to be exceptionally annoying. He thought as he placed the cup down and asked. "What exactly is going on, Cedric?" He asked the older boy.

"Ummm... Several students from the other houses are outside wanting to know about the three-headed dog." Cedric explained to him. "Your friend, Neville, told everyone that you were being chased by it and pretty much everyone in the school heard about it."

"Everyone?" He asked in a somewhat worried expression.

Cedric didn't have to answer him, because before he could, several Professors barged into the Hufflepuff Common Room. Maxwell was surprised but he maintained his composure as everyone approached the boy wearing silk pajamas. With Professor McGonagall and Professor Sprout being the first ones to reach him.

"Mr. Peverell, are you alright?" Professor McGonagall asked him in concern.

"Excluding some mild back pain that was caused by her," He pointed at Susan, who simply looked away embarrassed. "Yes." Since he fell into the hard floor after she abruptly woke Nymphadora up. "Is Neville okay?"

"Mr. Longbotton came to me screaming in the middle of the night, nearly having a panic attack, which forced me to take him to Madam Pomfrey." The Head of Gryffindor House explained to the Heir of Gryffindor. "It took nearly five hours to get him to calm down and explain what had happened."

"By that time that happened, Hagrid and I had already managed to get the Cerberus out of the castle and Mr. Diggory told me that you actually entered the Common Room in order to escape from it." Professor Sprout explained to him. "This is probably a very out of subject question but, how exactly did you know how to get inside the Hufflepuff Common Room?" She asked the blond boy.

"I was passing by once while on my way to the kitchen to try to get some snacks and saw one of the older students opening the entrance." Maxwell lied because he really didn't want to reveal that he knew how to open the entrance because he was contemplating on spying on Nymphadora. Then he remembered. "Did you find what you were looking for at Hogsmeade?" Since Cedric mentioned that the reason that she was absent the previous day was because she went to buy something there.

"Unfortunately, no." She seemed upset over the subject.

"So the trip was for nothing?" Cedric, who was standing besides Maxwell, asked.

The Head of Hufflepuff House nodded in confirmation.

"Forgive me for interrupting but, Mr. Peverell?" Professor McGonagall called their attention. "Would you kindly explain to me what exactly led you and Mr. Longbotton into being chased by a creature inside the school." By her choice of words, Neville didn't specify what happened and she seemed to be aware that it was already inside the school.

"I forgot to deliver a book back to the library so, I sneak out in the middle of the night to put it back." He lied, since actually he was actually sneaking into the library to take a book and not put it back. "On my way out, I found Neville sleeping in front of the entrance because he forgot the password again..." She rolled her eyes in response because it has happened quite a few times already. "I told him to get back inside as I made my way towards the library, but the entrance closed before he could enter the chamber so he followed me there." That part was true. "But after I put the book back, we heard Mr. Filch and ran to avoid him until we accidentally entered a dark room to hide from him, but when I Illuminated the room using the Wand-Lighting Charm, we saw the Three-headed dog inside and ran." Then he lied again, excluding the part that they were actually following Professor Quirinus Quirrell due to the suspicion that Maxwell had on him. A suspicion that was all but confirmed after what happened yesterday, more so due to the fact that he's not seeing the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor there.

Hearing what he said, several of the Hufflepuffs students started to speak about what he just said. Not just them, but Maxwell actually spotted several students trying to peek through the entrance as they were probably prohibited to enter by the Professors.

"While we were running, I saw that Neville was about to run out of breath, so I used Aguamenti Charm to lure the Cerberus as he made a run for it, then I ran all the way here." Maxwell finished the story in hopes to get what happens next over with already.

"Twenty points from Gryffindor and detention for sneaking out in the middle of the night, Mr. Peverell." Suddenly, Professor Snape, who was listening closely to the story, approached them and said that to Maxwell.

"Fair," Maxwell replied to the Potions Master. "But can anyone explain to me how exactly did a Cerberus ended up inside the school to begin with?"

"That is a question that will probably be left unanswered, since Hagrid already took care of it." Professor Snape told Maxwell while giving him a swift, piercing look. It took two seconds for Maxwell to realize that he was trying to use Legilimency on him.

Ignoring the Professor's futile attempts to see into his mind, he moved his head to look at Professor McGonagall. "It's Neville okay?" He asked her in concern since she mentioned that he had a panic attack earlier.

"Mr. Longbotton is currently at the Hospital Wing resting." She informed him. "And despite your claims to be unharmed, I would actually prefer that you also paid a visit to Madam Pomfrey in order to see if everything is alright."

"Alright." Maxwell decided to accept.

"Then come one, I'll escort you there personally." Professor McGonagall told him as she signalled him to go along with her.

Maxwell nodded before turning to Cedric and extending his hand. "Thanks for your help yesterday."

"I didn't do anything, I just gave you some water." Cedric shaked his hand anyway.

"And I thank you for that since I was very thirsty." He added before he turned to Susan and Hannah. "Thank you two for coming to warn me about everyone waiting for me, but I'm still a little mad at you for what you did." Which was interrupting the act of burying his face on Nymphadora's chest.

"Pervert." Hannah called him that, which led to everyone around to look at her in confusion.

"Yes, I'm a pervert, so what?" Maxwell admitted to everyone's surprise.

"At least you're honest about it, and I'm sorry but watching you fall on the floor was just too funny." Susan admitted.

Maxwell sighed. "I guess it was, and I kind of deserved it."

"At least you acknowledge." Hannah spoke as she drank some Pumpkin juice. "See you around, Maxwell."

"Bye, Max." Susan waved him goodbye.

Max waved at the two girls before he moved past the other professors and the Hufflepuff students as he accompanied Professor McGonagall towards the exit of the Hufflepuff Common Room. Only to be greeted by several students from Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. With his friends being present in the crowd and immediately approaching him.

"Bloody hell, were you and Nev really chased by a Three-headed dog throughout the school?!" Ron asked Maxwell as he got close to him.

"Yes." He confirmed. And just like it was inside, everyone started to talk about it almost instantly. But the loudest voice belonged to his bushy haired friend.

"Maxwell Antioch Peverell, what exactly were you and Neville doing walking around the school at night?!" Hermione asked him in an apprehensive tone.

"I'll... Tell you later." Maxwell was going to tell her and Ron the truth later. But right now, he saw Daphne standing around the group of Slytherins. He subtly signalled her to approach him.

The stoic girl noticed the signal and approached him before he started to move towards the Hospital Wing. "Hey..." She spoke with a neutral voice before she hugged him. "Did you get it?" She whispered in his ear.

"Right pocket." He informed her before turning to look at the Professor. "I forgot to ask, who will I be serving the detention with?" The blond boy didn't really care about that, he just asked in order to create a distraction.

"I'll discuss that with Professor Snape later, until then..." When she responded, Daphne immediately snatched the book that he shrink from his pocket before she separated from the hug. "But independently of the act of sneaking out at night, distracting the Three-headed dog in order for Mr. Longbottom to get away was an act of bravery, so ten points to Gryffindor for protecting a fellow housemate." She basically gave back half of the points that Professor Snape took.

"Oh, Thank you very much." Maxwell thanked his Professor.

After a short trip to the Hospital Wing, with Hermione volunteering herself to go grab Maxwell's uniform for him. The blond boy was examined by the Matron while a sleeping Neville rested on one of the beds there. Daphne didn't even bother to go with them, and simply took the book with not even a "thank you", not that Maxwell expected anything else. As soon as the examination was finished, Madam Pomfrey informed him that there was nothing wrong with him, not that he wasn't aware of that. At that moment, he was getting dressed as he explained what really happened on the previous day to his friends.

"Max, this is really serious." It was Hermione's immediate response after Maxwell was done telling her and Ron about the previous day events. "You really need to tell the Professors about this."

"And tell them what?" Ron asked Hermione.

"Yes, Ron is right," Maxwell pointed out as he put on his trousers. "I don't have the slightest idea of what Quirrell was after." He buttoned up his shirt as he spoke. "As my grandfather once told me, there is absolutely no point in making accusations without having concrete evidence first." Since his grandfather did work at the Department of Magical Law Enforcement for a time, that advice was definitely something to be followed. I could allow Professor Snape to look into my mind through Legilimency, but part of me really wants to figure out what exactly is going on by myself, mostly because Quirrell made that personal when he sent that Three-headed dog after me and Nev. Speaking of Nev, his chubby friend was sleeping peacefully on the bed right behind, and he was relieved that he was okay.

"Okay, what was that room you and Neville entered then?" Ron asked him in curiosity.

"No idea, we didn't exactly stop to check because we were too busy trying to not get devoured by the..." Maxwell realized something. What if... That Cerberus was guarding something and I served as the perfect bait to get rid of it... The blond boy realized as there was no way that Cerberus just appeared there, and putting it there would not be an easy task, as it would require someone with a considerable amount of experience in dealing with magical creatures. And Maxwell, someone that did. "I need to speak to Hagrid." He told his friend.

"You think he had something to do with that Three-headed dog?" Ron asked him.

"Hagrid is the only one that I can think of that could have gotten that Cerberus into the school and made it stay in that room for whatever purpose it was supposed to have." Maxwell pointed out his theory as he put on his shoes.,

"Max is right, Three-headed dogs are ranked XXXX in the danger classification of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures." Hermione explained to Ron. "They require highly specialist handling and Hagrid is the only one around that could possibly qualify."

Maxwell then put on his robe and passed through the privacy screen. Only to see Professor McGonagall entering the Hospital Wing. "Professor?" Ron and Hermione turned around to see the Professor.

"I'm relieved to know that you are actually unharmed." The Transfiguration professor told him. "But the matter of your detention has been resolved Mr. Peverell."

Okay...

His plans of going to meet up with Hagrid to ask about the Cerberus or what exactly was the Cerberus doing in that room had to be put on hold due to the detention that Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape agreed to put him through. Luckily, he wasn't prohibited to play on the upcoming Quidditch Match, mostly because it was Professor McGonagall that asked him to play it in the first place. His detention ended up being forced to serve a week of detention that started the next day with Professor Snape. Why he was the one responsible for it, was a bit of a mystery but Maxwell suspects that it was because he wanted to keep trying to use Legilimency on him, probably to figure out the real reason why he was in that room of all places. He could try to sneak out and go meet with Hagrid, but he didn't want to test his luck further and didn't want to lose more house points.

So he just put his suspicion on hold for a time. Which wasn't exactly an easy task since he was still forced to attend the Defence Against the Dark Arts with the man that probably tried to kill him. But Quirrell acted with such an unpleasant casualty that really bothered Maxwell and the pain on his scar only made that worse but he decided to swallow it for now.

After two unpleasant days that were filled with nothing but suspicion and unremarkable classes, that were mixed with Daphne avoiding him after actually getting the book that she wanted. The day ended up arriving.

The Gryffindor vs Slytherin Quidditch match, the first match of the season and Maxwell's first game as the Gryffindor Seeker. The Nimbus 2000 that requested from his grandfather arrived the day before and Maxwell was completely underwhelmed by the broomstick due to how inferior it was to Skytear. Despite his justifiable annoyance over the fact that he couldn't use his family's legendary broomstick, he prepared himself to use it as effectively as he could.

"Maxwell?" Suddenly, he was called by Oliver Wood. "Are you ready?"

"Yes," Maxwell was standing beside Oliver while the rest of the team was behind him, ready to enter the Quidditch pitch . "I'm ready."

As soon as he said that, everyone made their way inside with the loud sounds of cheering coming. It was odd but oddly satisfying, as they flew around in anticipation, Maxwell decided to look around in a futile attempt to see his friends alongside the other Spectators, an attempt that ended up not being futile at all as he actually saw them all on the same spot waving at him. He waved back as they all made their way to the middle to get started the game, and ironically, he actually saw some of the students from Hufflepuff waving at him, most notably, Susan and Hannah, he waved back but at the expense of not paying attention and noticing that the game actually started.

"What?" It was Maxwell's reaction as everyone started to fly around as the game was initiated. I really need to pay more attention to things! He thought in deep annoyance as he searched around for the Golden Snitch before the Slytherin Seeker that Max doesn't know gets it. He saw flying next to the Slytherin Spectators, so he immediately flew there while evading the other players. But as he was about to get closer, the Slytherin Seeker came crashing on Maxwell's side in a futile attempt to make him lose control of his pathetic broomstick, the blond boy's response, was basically kick the tip of his opponent's broom with his foot which caused him to fly uncontrollably to the right for a bit, which gave Maxwell more than enough time to chase after the Snitch.

"YOU DEFINITELY SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SLYTHERIN!" He heard Draco yell at him as he flew above him in an attempt to get the Snitch.

"MAYBE!" Max responded since the hat did say that he had their characteristics.

When he was unbelievably close to reaching the Snitch, something extremely odd happened. His broomstick stopped in the middle of the way and he almost fell from it, but he was able to grab on to it. But he wouldn't be able to hold for long due to the broomstick moving in a strange and random motion that seemed to be trying to make him fall from it.

"WHAT IS GOING ON?!" He heard Draco asking from under him.

"SOMEONE IS MESSING WITH MY BROOMSTICK!" Maxwell responded as he attempted to climb up again. As he manages to wrap his legs on it, he looks down apprehensively at Draco.

"I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING, MATE!" Draco was quick to say. "AND NO ONE HERE WOULD DUMB ENOUGH TO MESS WITH YOU OTHER THAN ZABINI!"

"AND WHERE THE BLOODY HELL IS ZABINI!?" He yelled as he kept trying to climb the wild broomstick and failing miserably.

"PROBABLY FOLLOWING DAPHNE AROUND AGAIN!" Draco informed him and Maxwell immediately grinded his teeth in rage.

"AHH!" Max grunted angrily. "I'M GONNA HEX THAT IDIOT THE NEXT TIME I SEE HIM!"

"WARN ME BEFOREHAND SO EVERYONE CAN BE THERE TO SEE IT!" Draco requested, with everyone that was there with him actually agreeing with him.

"FINE!" Maxwell spoke as he managed to mount his broomstick again. "HELP ME!"

"HOW!" His best friend asked. "SOMEONE IS OBVIOUSLY JINXING YOU BROOMSTICK!" He pointed out the obvious to Maxwell and it doesn't seem like it's anyone at Slytherin that is doing that.

Before Maxwell could make any conclusions, his broomstick stopped moving. "THERE!" He yelled in deep satisfaction as he managed to regain control. Only to catch the sight of the Slytherin Seeker quickly flying after the Golden Snitch, and about to reach it. "Oh no, you don't!" He spoke as he immediately flew there to get it. In the middle of the way, Maxwell was almost hit by a Bludger, but he easily evaded by ducking his head down. Only for the other Bludger to come at his right after the first one, and Maxwell having to literally put his two feet on top of tail twigs and jump off his broom to evade the Bludger, with everyone gasping when they saw him doing that due to the considerably high jump that he did and because he almost missed the Broomstick by an inch, but in the end, he managed to get back on his broom and fly as quickly as he could towards the Slytherin Seeker and the Golden Snitch with the loud sounds of cheers directed at him for the dangerous maneuver that he just did.

"THAT WAS AMAZING, MAX!" Fred yelled at the boy.

"THANKS!" Max accepted the compliment as he flew past one of the twins.

"SHOW ME THE TRICK SOMETIME?!" George asked him.

"MAYBE!" He replied as he finally reached the other Seeker.

Maxwell and the Slytherin Seeker followed the Snitch next to one another at a very high speed. Practically circulating over the Quidditch Pitch, with everyone watching them in deep anticipation. An anticipation that was replaced with deep surprise when Maxwell basically slowed down and without any type of warning whatsoever, grabbed the bottom of the other Seeker's robe and pulled it all of the way over his face. Making him completely lose control and crash into one of the stands. I guess they had the right idea regarding what was considered a foul. There were seven hundred Quidditch fouls listed in the Department of Magical Games and Sports records, though the entire list was never made public, because it was the department's view that some wizards and witches 'might get ideas', which was basically what Maxwell just had. Contact is allowed, but a player may not seize hold of another player's broomstick or any part of their anatomy. Maxwell thought of one of the main rules of the game. But, clothes aren't really mentioned in that since they don't really qualify as part of their anatomy... He thought with a cheeky smile as he was about to reach the Snitch.

Sadly, while he was focusing on the Snitch, another Bludger came in his direction and by the time he noticed, he had no time whatsoever to evade it. So, in a split second, he decided to risk it all. By basically jumping out of his broomstick in a final attempt to reach the Snitch.

He did manage to catch it, but... "AAAAHHHHHHH!" He fell down into one of the spectators' seats from a considerable height.

"MAXWELL PEVERELL CAUGHT THE GOLDEN SNITCH!" The barely conscious boy heard the announcer say. "GRYFFINDOR WINS!"

"Ahhhhh..." Opening his eyes slowly after hearing that. Feeling a considerable amount of pain on his body, it was quite difficult to get a good look of where exactly he was. Until he noticed that there was someone there, looking at him. "What are you doing?" He managed to bring himself to ask as his vision was a little blurry.

"Watching you grunt in pain." Standing there, was a young girl that seemed to be a year or two older than him, wearing the Slytherin colors. She had long ebony black hair that fell down in ringlets past her shoulders. Her skin was a pale alabaster color of flawless beauty. Heavy lidded eyes swooped down to long eyelashes that framed beautiful almond shaped hazel eyes. Her face was a classic beauty centered around a perfect regal nose. Even at such a young age she was showing signs of womanly maturity and femininity. There was a noticeable rise in her chest area and a flair to her hips that were connected to long legs that not even a school uniform could hide. Which allowed him to see her knickers from the floor.

"Black..." That was the color that he saw and it was the last thing that he said, before passing out completely as several people started to surround him.

Obrigado pelo capítulo incrível Autor-San!

De nada, amigo.

Speaking of previews love the one for Maxwell in the Ravenclaw common room

Love the idea that he hears Luna is getting picked on finds out immediately who it is and he just simply walks up to the common room and threatens Eddie and then after I could see Maxwell saying to him now the fact that I'm standing in this room proves there is no where I can't get you

On the topic of Luna liked learning she's going to enjoy feeding Maxwell and actually given how close their parents where has Angelo taken Maxwell to see Luna growing uo

As for the other preview I bet Angelo thought if his wife was still with them she'd be cheering on Maxwell's statement haha still despite Maxwell's comment hope he does have a Hungarian Horntail

When it comes to Maxwell and Voldemorts level, skill and power in magic etc could it actually be said that like how Dumbledore and Grindelwald are comparable Dumbledore is just a shade more talented similarly when Maxwell and Voldemort are compared Maxwell is the one that is a shade more talented and powerful and like you said he's also got the resources and you know he's got a better grip of human emotions and the lack of a crippling fear of death to

Thinking about it someone like Dumbledore could bring up the similar situation between Maxwell and Voldemort as students where both are the most gifted and admired students of their generation who surrounded themselves with followers the difference being of course the people Maxwell surrounds himself with he's actually friends with

Also I think Maxwell is going to be more popular and admired than any past or even future student in Hogwarts history beating out both Albus and Tom

With the Tri wizard tournament and the amount of challenges Angelo adds to it personally I'd only add two extra challenges if you added three and doubled the amount of challenges in the tournament it would be like the three champions don't have any time to relax and prepare for the next challenge so yeah 5 challenges is more than enough

With lovely Bella then am I close to be right in thinking her slavish devotion has transferred to Delphi with her daughter now taking the place of centre of Bellatrix's universe

Speaking of is Delphi going to be brought in as a first year when Maxwell starts his second and I'm guessing she's going to be getting the Black fortune in this and of course curious if she is a Lestrange or if she's still Voldemorts daughter either way I see Delphi being a very powerful witch and just thought aside from all the other things Delphi is going to want Maxwell I going to do to her haha wonder if she'd want to learn from him

Going back to Bellatrix hope Maxwell's thoughts on her are she's insane but dam what a milf haha

Reading that preview at the end and yeah really hope you take Ron out that scene haha

With Maxwell's summers I hope he actually gets time to enjoy his summer and the adventures are nice simple things like after year 4 is done Maxwell spends like a week I southern France with Fleur and Gabrielle having fun

Speaking of holidays is Maxwell going home for the Christmas break? Because if his summer is going to be spent with the Malfoys he should probably spend the Christmas at home

Actually when you say summer with the Malfoys is that the full six weeks or just a week or two while Angelo as a week or two seems more likely I mean even if Angelo goes to other countries for official visits or what not doubt they'd take up the whole summer so maybe Maxwell's summers are always part spent with friends and then part back home at the Peverell castle

I'm glad you did, he despises when anyone messes with his Loony.

He doesn't say it, but he gives them the look that says it.

Not quite, Alistair was their friend, Angelo didn't even knew them.

His grandmother would say would say: "Oh, don't be a joy killer Angelo, you can give them some compensation afterwards and no one would say a thing." Then she would encourage him to do it in a over the top fashion.

Somewhat, but there is still some aspects of that that will be explored later.

Maxwell will say: Clearly, but the big difference is that, I would never sacrifice anyone for my own gain because I care about each of them.

Partially.

Agreed.

Well...

No, Delphi is actually a year older than Maxwell and no, she's not Tom's daughter. She's the daughter of RodolphusLestrange, being simply a "keeping the bloodline pure" child that they had together. Yes, imagine a Dark Witch that uses her powers for good. {Maxwell and Delphi's relationship will kind of be a positive version of Voldemort and Bellatrix's relationship.}

"Wow, the resemblance between her and Delphi are uncanny as hell." Yes, he will.

There's an explanation to why he is sleeping there actually.

He will actually be forced to...

Maybe...

It's kind of hard to explain.

worth the wait I loved the scene where Cerberus was chasing Maxwell. causing him to enter Hufflepuff's room. where he meets Cedric Diggory (before he was bitten by a vampire and cheated by his girlfriend. making him a bat-man to subdue the bad guys in the night) It gave us a glimpse into the sweet relationship between Maxwell and Tonks. I liked the moment Neville and Draco had with Maxwell. They seemed to be better friends than Ron.
- I wonder if Cedric Diggory will be killed.
- I think Alistair is not ambitious. satisfied with what you have While his son Maxwell is ambitious and loves a challenge. I might have misunderstood myself.
- I believe that many people have the same doubts as me. If you were to write Fantastic Beasts, who would you want the protagonist to be, Angelo, or a new character?
Good morning, and in case I don't see ya: Good afternoon, good evening, and good night!

Hahahaha! Robert went a long way.

Max has a crush on her.

Partially.

Don't count on it.

Correct, Al is perfectly fine with a simple job at the Ministry and a family life with Lily. While Maxwell wants to be greater than everyone else on his family.

No, it would be Angelo's late brother.

Good night.

So happy to get a new chapter for this as always

Also glad it's just Maxwell we got this chapter not him and then a segment on Alistair feels like we got more time with Maxwell this chapter you know

Now liked at the start getting more of the process that is Maxwell helping Hermione to relax and keep a more open mind to things haha also I did get a little enjoyment from her reaction to seeing Maxwell causing Lavender to blush with just a smile

With Daphne I'm sure Maxwell could bare learning what the twins did to Blaise haha also she must be real grateful to Maxwell for doing all these favours for her haha and yep the curiosity I have over what's in the dam box keeps growing so looking forward to Daphne explaining everything around it

Liked the fitting detail of Maxwell having the highest possible quality pyjamas haha also little surprised he didn't just drag Neville back to the common room before continuing on to the library to get the book or telling him in future just go find a teacher ideally McGonagall to let you into the common room better than sleeping on the floor

So intense first encounter with Fluffy haha and this must now make Maxwell's suspicions around Quirrel grow even more heck when Quirrel does the whole haha ive been a servant of he who must not be named all along I can see Maxwell with a deadpanned expression just saying shocking haha still impressive display of stamina on Maxwell's part to stay ahead of Fluffy while running through the school

Not the way I expected him to first go to the Hufflepuff common room like I said I was expecting that it be either Nym or Susan and Hannah that would first bring him their still liked that Maxwell knew how to get into the Hufflepuff room and hey upside he got to meet Cedric this chapter but even better he got to see more of Dora namely her in a long t shirt haha and hey he found out her real name so that's a nice little bonus to and now he can call her Nym or Dora

Also I bet the real reason Professor Sprout isn't in the castle is she and a few other teachers went to Hogsmead for drinks at the three broomsticks if she had to go into town to buy something why spend the night there haha

Back to the upsides Maxwell got to spend the night in Dora's bed and got a kiss on the check from her and who knows he might wake up to find her hugging him to haha

Now then providing Neville can keep his mouth shut which I'm sure he will considering how much he owes Maxwell for saving his skin now I can see Maxwell getting away with wandering the halls at night

Maxwell can explain he was out and about at night due to being restless so he decided to take a walk resulting in him seeing a figure heading to the third floor he decided to follow and as soon as he got the third floor Fluffy was already there running at him

So yeah I'm sure Neville will keep his mouth shut and who knows despite being out at night no one could learn he was with Maxwell at any point during the night and while Dora also knows why Maxwell was actually out I very much doubt she'd tell the teachers what he was really up to

Sure he might get a tiny warning about being out at night but considering he had to outrun fluffy I'm sure the teachers would see that as enough of a punishment and won't give him detention Maxwell basically charms himself out of trouble haha

Preview wise love it

Little thing I would change though is Maxwell sharing a room with Ron when it comes to room assignments have Ron share a room with Fred and George while Maxwell gets a room to himself technically and I say technically because of the girls spending so much time in said room haha

So that scene would play out the same just no Ron like I said have him be in a different room and Maxwell had that room to himself again technically take him out of the scen so we don't get his grumbling and plus his presence also holds back Maxwell and the girls from having even more fun

Really do hope you go with Maxwell having the room to himself I can see him preferring to have a room to himself when he can unless he's sharing it with a girl of course

Also thinking about it instead of thinking about telling Ginny to go back to her room he doesn't even consider that idea and while not being able to say write fluently in french I'd have Maxwell know how to speak french and understand it at the very least seems like something he would have learnt either on a past visit or holiday to France or something he picked up form Fleur and Gabrielle in the previous year

But I did enjoy the preview overall I must say Delphi is a nice surprise to be sure especially since I think she was maybe the only good thing to come from that story she appeared in and yep definitely her mother's daughter haha nice of her to treat Maxwell to a view of her panties Gabrielle coming in for a snuggle made thing even more fun

Got a few questions about the Hufflepuff Vampire namely what's her actual name haha and why did Ginny feel the bite to but I'd settle for a name

Yep Delphi saying Maxwell could hurt her in away came across as appropriately kinky haha as was mostly naked Nym and like I've been saying hope Maxwell has been getting more than a lot of glimpses of a naked Dora haha

Sirius reaction was on point to definitely the fun uncle haha and Regulus being alive is a nice surprise to feel like Alistair has something to do with that and also the mending of the Black brothers relationship

I'm glad.

Al's sections will return on the next chapter.

Max and Mione bond over their nerdy habits. Lavender thinks Maxwell is handsome.

Blaise kind of brought another fight with Maxwell. You're just as annoyed as Max is.

Everything that he has is high quality. He will lecture Nev throughout the whole story.

Max is in excellent physical shape thanks to his Grandfather training.

Yup...

Nah, she was looking for seeds but didn't found them.

Exactly...

Sadly, nope...

They basically shared the room out custom.

He tells her because he doesn't want to get caught by her family and he has difficulty when it comes to languages.

The logic behind her character was non-sensical, but I loved the idea of Bellatrix having a daughter.

Gabrielle adores Maxwell and gets mad when he's intimate with other girls but not with her.

You already saw her on this chapter and that's all that I'm going to say {Extra: She's not the Hufflepuff Vampire yet.} Well, Ginny and Maxwell found out the hard way that the Egyptians were particularly powerful when it came to curses.

Delphi is a bit of a masochist. I hope this chapter answered your question.

Yup... Max's favorite uncles are Remus and Sirius. Yes, Alistairwas able to prevent Regulus death and got Sirius and him to make up their differences.
