Once Humphrey Had finnished giving Grace a bath they both sat at the entrance of the den in silence looking out unto the beautiful green trees slowly brissling gently in the summer eves breeze. Night time was slowly approaching the suns warm rays were tickling the grey furred wolves as it was setting in the west.
Humphrey turned to gracie and spoke '' Hey would you like to go for a walk with me to the lake and get a drink before the sun sets?''
grace spoke with a light smile ''yeah id like that.''
With the small exchange of words the two set off twoards the lake.
Humphrey was thinking of his past as they were walking enjoying the silent company when he felt a uneasy feeling creep up his spine like an ice cold chill.
he looked down to grace and she looked like she was …off somehow ….. humphrey decided to speak ''hey grace are you ok? you look like somethings wrong.''
grace responded in a scared tone '' l…i…im not s..shure how to say it but i feel like somethings wrong i want to go home now please im s..sc..sca..scared!''.
humphrey looked down to her and seen she had tears in her eyes and her body was trembling.
Once humphrey seen her reaction he promptly responded ''yeah sweetheart we can go home, hey every thing is going to be ok its just been a long day.''
even after his words of reassurance she still looked rough it must be the shock of the day finnialy setteling in with her.
without speaking a word humphrey picked grace up and set her on his back and started back twoard the den, as he was walking he could feel grace hug on to him so tight like he would dissapear if she let go. Humphrey could feel her heart racing and her body still shaking it broke his own heart to feel her so sad as he knows the pain of loosing everything all to well.
the den was not far now maby another hundred yards through the dence green forest.
almost home humphrey heard a loud snap not far from thier location so he took off in a super sprint running so fast his lungs felt like they would explode and his muscles wanted to give out but he couldnt stop after what seemed like forever running he reached the den.
Humphrey put geace down and spoke ''look you need to hide and no matter what you hear DO NOT COME OUT stay hidden and stay safe.''
grace cried streams of tears ''NOOO PLeAsE dOnT go I dont want to be alone ple.''
humphrey cut her off ''look i promise i wont leave now go and hide''.
once grace had went and hid humphrey walked to the mouth of the den and took a deep breath and tried to steady his nerves in preperation for what was comming.
what ever is after them is fast he can hear it sixty yards, fifty, thirty , twenty , nothing….it stopped? but where is it. humphrey cursed his omega skills he dose not have the traning to pin point the threat, while in his thoughts ther was a small faint crunch about ten feet to his left humphrey turned to face what wever made the noise only to come face to face with the threat that caused so much distress.
