Sisters Divided – Part 17:

Nurmengard Castle:

Grindelwald suddenly appeared in the courtyard with Flora in his arms and Rosier rushed over to them having got back moments earlier and was full of concern for the witch.

"She needs complete rest," he said before looking at the sleeping Flora in his arms, "between the Curse and the Blood Troth breaking she has been through so much in the past few hours that it has taken a lot out of her."

He looked at Rosier before carrying Flora inside and through the Castle until he reached her bedroom where he laid her down in her bed and looked at Rosier.

"Get her changed and then stay with her. I have no idea what state she'll be in when she wakes up," Grindelwald said.

"Do you know why she stopped the Curse?" the French witch asked.

"Love. She loves her sisters and the Muggle getting hit by the curse would have hurt her sister and she couldn't have that. How many days will the two of you be in New York?"

"Two… three at the most," Rosier replied as she looked at Grindelwald and then at Flora, "I want to learn more about her so that I can understand her better. I want to help her. You are free from Dumbledore though…?"

"The troth has broken, yes. I am a free man and that means I can be with Flora when she is ready," Grindelwald spoke as he looked at his second-in-command, "Dumbledore knows… that Flora is the witch in the prophecy and he knows that we have her in our hands. You will need to have your wits about you in New York as they may try and take her back."

"I doubt that very much Gellert but I will be on the lookout for any attempt to seize her from us," Vinda said as she took up a seat next to Flora's bed to await the moment when the witch would wake up.

Vinda had long fallen asleep when she heard a groan that soon had her on her feet.

"Flora…" Vinda whispered as she grabbed her wand to turn some lights on so she could see the witch, "you're safe… we're back at the Castle and Gellert has been checking on you throughout the night," she said before moving to press a cold cloth onto the younger witch's forehead, "you were rather brave, yet foolish in stopping that curse hitting the Muggle but you did it out of love and I can see that now," she said softly, "I have no idea when Gellert wants you to move or get up," she said before the door to Flora's room opened and Grindelwald himself walked in.

"I will take my leave now," Rosier said as she nodded at the wizard who moved to sit down in the chair that Rosier had been occupying.

Flora just watched the wizard, unsure if he was angry with her or not but she soon had her answer as Grindelwald moved to sit on the edge of the bed and bent down to place a kiss on her lips. She went to sit up to kiss hm back softly but found a hand on her shoulder.

"You should be resting. I thought I'd lost you," the Dark Wizard spoke as he looked into her eyes.

"You could never lose me Gellert. I just couldn't let my sisters be harmed. Jacob makes Queenie happy and that is all I ever want for her… whether you like it or not Gellert," Flora spoke as she looked at Grindelwald and bit her lip.

"Your sisters are not the only ones you need to stop scaring," came the reply, "although I did have to give them one myself. Falling off the edge with you was not what I had planned…"

"WHAT?" Flora said shocked as she sat up before finding herself being pushed against a pillow that had somehow been stood up.

"Everyone knows I care about you too much to harm you in any way Flora," Grindelwald said, "but I fear that people will know more than they should. I may have been a little too public with how much I care for you," he said as he looked out of the window.

"You were worried about me and Rosier and Carrow showed a fair amount of concern as well," Flora pointed out as she looked at Grindelwald, "what happened? I felt pain stabling me and then I don't remember anything else," she said.

"So you don't know…?" Grindelwald asked and Flora shook her head,

"No. I don't. I fell to the floor and remember nothing."

"I'm free of Dumbledore… I tried to kill the true Qilin and Credence got in the way. The Dumbledore Brothers cast protection charms and the blood troth broke. That must have been the pain you felt. I felt it too but I was routed to the spot and unable to do anything about it. The troth shattered and now I am free to be with you if that is what you want," he said as his hand moved to cup Flora's cheek and she found herself leaning into his touch.

"I do… but I've never been with anyone before so I need to figure out myself as well. Kisses and cuddles are more than welcome though. I can never get enough of those," Flora said with a shy smiled ad Grindelwald smiled softly before moving to kiss her and slip into the bed with her, pulling her close.

"Like this?" he asked and Flora nodded, resting a hand on his chest as she settled back down into the bed.

"This is perfect and the way I always want to fall asleep," Flora said with a chuckle as he swiftly removed his shirt so Flora could rest her head on his chest. That was something that he loved to feel and knew that it somehow calmed Flora.

The witch winced in a little pain and Grindelwald grabbed a pain potion and gently assisted her in drinking it.

"You may need a few of these. The Cruciatus Curse can be extremely painful on its own… let alone the effects of the blood troth as well," he said as he looked at her before feeling her soft lips on his cheek, "I shall remain here for the night and we shall see how you are in the morning," he said, "go to sleep, my flower," he said as he placed a kiss on her head and he waited until she was asleep again before he fell asleep himself, wondering how Flora would feel when the morning arrived.
