Well, glad to know that everyone is enjoying this story as far. And I hope everyone will enjoy this chapter as well.
Yugi and his friends walked a couple of hallways until they entered his room. Once inside, the small teen used a cloth to cover the doorway for privacy.
"Right, we can talk here without any interruption," said Yugi.
"So, what's going on? Why are you wearing Egyptian clothes?" Tea asked.
"Not to mention, your skin is tan," pointed out Tristan.
Joey frowned, "Not only that, but you look… shorter than usual."
Yugi blushed, "I'm shorter cause I'm in my 14-year-old past self."
"What?!"
"So, that would explain why you're dress as an Egyptian royal and why your skin is tan," said Tea. She then gasped, "Wait! If your possessing your past self and you're a royal, then that means…"
Joey and Tristan looked at Tea with confusion.
Yugi nodded, "It looks like the Pharaoh had a little brother that no one never know of."
"Really? But why?" Tristan asked.
Yugi sighed, "Our guess is that Atsu died at a young age. Around the time when the Pharaoh had to face the same evil, he fought the first time."
"So, where's the Pharaoh?" Joey asked.
Yugi smirked a bit, "He's dealing with Pharaoh duties aka paperwork."
"Sucks to be him," murmured Joey and Tristan.
"So, have you found the Pharaoh's name?" Tea asked.
Yugi shook his head, "No, not one clue here in the palace. Not even the people here call him by his name. They only use 'Pharaoh' or 'my lord,' that's it."
"Not even your past self?" Joey wondered.
Yugi shook his head, "All memories involving Yami's name was replaced to brother."
His friends sighed sadly.
"But… I know one place that will," said Yugi.
His friends looked at him.
"When a new Pharaoh is on the throne, the vizier starts building his tomb," continued Yugi. "Which means…"
Tea gasped, "The Pharaoh's name should be in his tomb!"
Yugi nodded, "Right. There must be more that my grandpa didn't find before grabbing the Millennium Puzzle."
"But how can we find it, if your grandpa didn't?" Tristan asked.
Yugi smiled, "We wouldn't know if we don't look."
"But how can you leave the palace? I highly doubt that they will allow the prince to leave the palace on his own," said Tea.
Yugi looked down, "Actually…"
His friends turned their heads to him.
Yugi sighed, "Something is about to happen… tonight. Head to the Nile River and there, we will meet you guys."
"W-We?" Tea asked with hope.
Yugi nodded, "Yami and I will be there."
"Right! Let's go guys!" Joey said.
Tristan nodded while Tea looked worried.
"Don't worry, Tea. I'm going to be fine, promise," said Yugi as a soldier walked in.
"Prince Atsu, dinner will be ready soon," said a soldier before leaving.
"Food," whined Joey and Tristan.
"Come on you two," said Tea, annoyed. She pushed Joey and Tristan, who had sad looks on their faces, out of the room.
Yugi laughed a bit before leaving his room and headed to the dining room. When he got there, he saw the Pharaoh with a tired look on his face.
"A lot of paperwork, I take?" Yugi said, sitting next to his other half.
Yami rubbed his eyes, "You don't know half of it. I'm just glad that Shimon is helping me."
"So, what's more difficult? My homework or your Pharaoh duties?" Yugi asked in a teasing manor.
Yami looked annoyed, "Ha, ha, laugh it up."
Yugi would have continued to tease if Shimon didn't ruin the moment as he told him that he needs to look at some scrolls for practice.
Yami snickered while Yugi had a grim look on his face.
After the meal, the Pharaoh and Yugi were looking at the scrolls. The small teen let out a small stretch, "I never thought that being a Pharaoh has this much work. I need a break…"
"You and me both," murmured Yami before gasping. He held onto his Millennium Puzzle, "Odd… my puzzle… it senses a threat."
Suddenly they heard a loud explosion.
The Pharaoh and Yugi got up and dashed out to the balcony to see one of the shrines was destroyed.
"What in the – Bakura!" Yami said, spotting the thief. "Let's go!"
Yugi nodded and followed the Pharaoh to the stables, and both got on their horses. Yami summoned Slifer the Sky Dragon while Yugi followed close by.
They chased the thief into the city where Bakura ordered his monster to attack the people. However, the Pharaoh used the sky dragon as a shield, protecting them.
But as a result, Yami was feeling the pain.
"We need to chase Bakura out from the city!" Yugi shouted.
"Right, Slifer!" Yami shouted.
The red sky dragon grabbed Bakura's Diabound's tail and dragged him away. The dragon flew to where there was a cliffside and let go of his enemy.
Bakura and both brothers stopped as well.
"Well, well, what do we have here? I never thought I'll see you, Atsu," said Bakura. He narrowed his eyes, 'Strange, that brat should've died by now… how is he still alive?'
'He knows?' Yugi thought.
Bakura chuckled, "As if you're a threat, brat – Diabound, attack!"
The dark large snake like beast let out his attack on the sky dragon.
"Slifer!" Yami warned.
The sky dragon was able to dodge before sending out his own attack at the beast. The lightning attack hit the beast's chest and as the result, Bakura got hurt at the same place.
Yugi noticed before glancing over to the Pharaoh who was slightly tired.
'We need to end this, or Yami will get worse … or killed,' thought Yugi before glancing behind him and saw that the priests were coming to them.
But Bakura noticed as well.
"I'm not going to let anyone interfere! Diabound!"
Bakura's ka attacked the ground, causing it to split into two and not allowing the priests to get any closer.
"Pharaoh!" Seto shouted, stopping his horse.
"Prince Atsu!" Shada shouted.
'He's trying to separate us from the others… it's different from how it happened 3000 years ago… Atsu wasn't alive at this point… yet somehow, he had this memory along how Yami sealed the evil away in the Millennium Puzzle,' thought Yugi.
"While this is a… touching moment, I prefer to see the world into darkness – now, Diabound, attack Slifer!" Bakura ordered. He smirked, 'Do it, Aknadin!'
Unknown to anyone, the elder priest was holding a sword throw it at Slifer's stone tablet. It stabbed the stone which made the sky dragon weaken a bit.
However, the sky dragon god wasn't having it and pulled out the sword and send a lightning bolt at the elder priest, who fell from the attack.
"Brother!" Yugi shouted, seeing that Slifer couldn't move and got destroyed by Diabound's attack. The small teen could tell that the Pharaoh took heavy damage from the attack.
"Now, why don't the two of you disappear – Diabound!" Bakura said.
His ka once again let out his attack straight to the brothers that caused both to fall as the ground gave out.
"Pharaoh!" Seto shouted.
"Prince Atsu!" Shada shouted.
"Yami!" Yugi shouted, seeing that his other self was half-conscious. He grabbed the Pharaoh's hand as the two fell.
Bakura gritted his teeth, 'That wasn't supposed to happen…'
The thief retreated again, not having to get his hands on the Millennium Puzzle.
Seto gritted his teeth, "Shada, we need to send out a search team – immediately!"
Shada nodded and the two headed back to the palace.
By morning, everyone was out looking for the royal brothers.
Near the Nile River in a cave, Yugi was first to wake up and noticed he was in his school uniform and his skin was pale. He sighed in relief before seeing Atsu and the Pharaoh were unconscious.
The small teen stared at Atsu before placing his fingers on his neck.
'Not good. His pulse is weak,' thought Yugi.
"Wait!"
Yugi was startled by the Pharaoh's sudden shout.
"That's a nice way to give me a heart attack, Yami!" said the small teen.
The Pharaoh blinked his eyes before rubbing them with his arm.
"Y-Yugi? You're back in your own body?" Yami said before wincing.
"Ya, but I can't say good about your brother. I think the fall was too much for him," said Yugi.
Yami had a grim look on his face, "He was born a bit early. He was known to be sick most of his life. That's why he was away… so they could find some cure."
Yugi gasped, "Wait! You remember?"
"Not all, just a few pieces of small memories," replied Yami. "Apparently, my father was the one that created the Millennium items."
"Really?" Yugi said before hearing his name being called. The small teen ran out of the cave and looked around to see his friends not too far from him.
Yugi waved, "Hey! Over here guys!"
His friends smiled and ran over to him.
The Pharaoh soon joined them, and all were resting by the river.
"Looks like your back to your own body, buddy," said Joey.
"But where's…" said Tea, looking around.
Yugi sighed, "Atsu's body couldn't endure that kind of fall. He's unconscious right now, but he has a weak pulse."
"So, is he…" started Tristan.
Yami nodded, "Most likely tonight."
Joey, Tristan and Tea looked sad.
That's when the Pharaoh and Yugi noticed someone new with their friends.
"Um, who's this?" Yugi asked.
"You look smaller than I thought," Bobasa said before laughing.
"This is Bobasa. We met him after leaving the palace," answered Tea.
"Well, it's nice to meet you," said Yami, offering his hand.
Bobasa took his hand, "It's an honor to meet you, my king."
"He also told us that it's our mission to find your true name," said Tristan.
Yami widened his eyes.
"But Yugi couldn't find it at the palace," said Joey.
"But I know one location that will and that will be in your tomb," said Yugi.
Yami gasped, "Are you all going there? Shimon told me that they placed dangerous traps. It's too dangerous for all of you."
"I know, but I know how to get through those traps. Remember, grandpa told us how he got through the traps before getting the Millennium Puzzle," said Yugi.
Yami stared at him before sighing, "Just be careful, all of you. Who knows what will happen to you all in this ultimate shadow game that Bakura created."
"Then you leave the name finding to us while you deal with Bakura," said Joey.
The Pharaoh nodded just as he heard someone calling out to him.
"Pharaoh!" Shada shouted.
"We best get going," said Yugi. "Good luck… and be careful, Yami."
The Pharaoh nodded, "You too… all of you."
"Don't you worry. We'll be back with your name! Come on guys, let's go!" Joey said as he started to run.
"Wait, Joey!" Tristan said.
Yugi and the others ran after Joey while the Pharaoh waited for Shada.
The Pharaoh informed the priest that his brother was in bad condition and needed to be taken to the palace at once.
Once placing Atsu with a soldier on his horse, half of the soldiers raced back to the palace in hope to save the young prince.
That's when the Pharaoh learned where Bakura's whereabouts were.
'I'm coming for you Bakura,' thought Yami as he, Shada and the rest of the soldiers rode to the village of Kul Elna.
Meanwhile, at the Valley of the Kings, Yugi and his friends found the tomb of the Nameless Pharaoh with Bobasa's help. But before entering, Bobasa said farewell as his job was done on aiding the person who solved the puzzle before disappearing.
Yugi and his friends entered the tomb only to have Yugi stop Joey from going any further. He picked up a bone and threw it between the two snake statues which fired two deadly needles, striking at the bone.
"Um, thanks Yug," said Joey with a scary look on his face.
"Don't say thanks just yet Joey. There are two more traps to deal with," said Yugi.
"You don't say," murmured Joey and Tristan.
"Come on you two. We don't have time. We need to find the Pharaoh's name," said Tea.
"Right, let's go. Lead the way Yugi," said Joey.
Yugi nodded before the small teen led his friends through the Pharaoh's tomb.
