we pan in to see naruto and his pokemon having a picnic, all enjoying their own food as expected naruto is eating some cup ramen packed by his mum
" phew that hit the spot ramen will never get old" said naruto with an enthusiastic sigh looking over he saw what his pokemon were eating. kurama his life long partner was eating the pokemon food that delia developed what many people didnt kmnow about delia is that she was a top pokemon breeder so good she even created her more nutritional and more importantly better tasting poke-food, now onto what his dear friends were eating they all ate pokemon food howeveer they all added their own flair to it .kurama was eating out of a burnt red pokebowl with a chibi version of his face on it his pokefood had meat like additions to it they were in fact just meat shaped treats that even tasted like meat that he loved to eat , tsunami was eating out of a navy blue bowl with a sea patern on it with her pokefood however she also had bits of oran berries added in which she liked due to their slightly sweet and tangy taste and now on to the newest me member of the team quake was eating out of a deep purple bowl with an asian style and european style dragon fighting, she was eating her pokefood along with some tamato berries adding spice to it which she greatly enjoyed however she was also trying to eat some of her fellow pokemon's food.
"cmoooon guys just a little nibble just give me a bit" the dragon said pleadingly as she tried to reach over to their bowls stopped when tsunami boppped her on the head " no you have your food and we have ours theres no need for you to act like a glutton and eat ours along with yours" the frog pokemon said in a respectfull and strict tone. "burp what she said pipsqueak " said kurama which made quake pout.
" big bro narutoooooooooooo, tsunami and kurama are being mean and not sharing food with me" she complained flailing her tiny arms making the others chuckle at her childishness.
" okay okay guys just eat up cause weve got some training to do today" said naruto smilling down whilst thinking of ways to train his family.
" finally some training", "hm cool", " ooh what are you thinking of teaching us" said quake kurama and tsunami respectfully excited abou what they were going to learn
20 minutes later
we see our protagonist standing over his little family ready to tell them how to train.
" okay guys this is the training plan quake i'll teach you dragon rage and just general some training to get you used to dragon energy which may help you use that dragon beam of you" he said while patting said dragon on the head smiling which she gladly leaned into and smirking excited to impress his older sister and brothers by becoming stronger.
"tsunami youll be working on pound and some closed ranged combat alsongside your water bullets" he said smiling at her, said pokemon nodded deep in thought thinking about ways to become stronger and how to improve her water bullets alongside how she would incorporate her leg power into a kind of martial art , maybe she could ask naruto about this after the training session.
" and last but not least kurama you'll be learning how to control your air bullets to a higher degree and learning how to use some fire type moves which you could possibly fuse together to make some kickass moves and maybe even develop some new moves involving your tails" naruto said whcih kurama agreed to thinking that using his tails as some kinf of firey whip would not only be handy but look cool as fuck.
" okay now that that's decided lets get to training guys" naruto said full of his trademark excitement as he made 2 clones
"YEAH" all his pokemon said in excitement
TRAINING START
with quake
"okay quake lets teach you dragon rage heres a TM lets watch it and see how its done okay" naruto said bringing out a TM and a TM player ( think of a nintendo DS like device that can open up where you place a HM or TM in).quake nodded and sat down willing to learn as she saw naruto play the TM, out of the TM player a hologram popped out showing a tanned man wearing glasses a white cap with a rainbow on it and a lab coat with no shirt under it shoing of his abs.
" ahem ahem hey guys kukui here so i see you want to learn dragon rage eh well no need to fear cause i'll teach ya how to make a mean dragon rage that'll knock anyone out of their sucks" the now named proffesor kukui said cheerfully with a radiant and confident smile. quake was shaking in excitement ready to learn how to do dragon rage from " the cool man in the box" as she called him.
" okay first your gonna have to take a deep breath and feel the energy flowing inside of you, ya done that? good now i want you to condense that energy, make it as dense as ya can buddy and force it to travel up to your mouth adding more energy and condensing it as it moves when it gets to your mouth proceed to open it and fire with all you got and boom there ya have it a dragon rage have fun learning kukui out." the proffesor said matter of factly before the TM player shut off.quake who was paying attention carefully immediately tried this and fired off a small purple ball of energy that hit a tree denting it.
" yea yea did you see that naruto did you see that i bet i could beat even kurama with this new move hahahah" said quake bouncing around excitedly in celebration.
" well im proud of you but dont get ahead of yourself you have to master this technique before you can beat anyone with it" naruto said chuckling at the dragons cute antics
" hm all right next time i'll destroy that tree" she said with vigour as she continued practicing.
with tsunami
" okay tsunami from what i've noticed you tend to stay back and send projectiles now theres no problem with that however we need to get your close-quarters combat up to snuff too" said our protagonist affectionately to his dedicated frog friend to which she nodded agreeing with his analysis of her.
" okay so lets work on pound by well pounding that tree over there over and over" naruto said whilst pointing at a tree behind him with his thumb " you'll do that about 100 times on each hand and then we'll practice using pound on both hands at once" he said cheerfully " and after that you"ll master your water bullets and water pulse to a further level and finally all of us will regroup for some battle practice" naruto explained to tsunami as to which she happily nodded and agreed too
" okay okay lets get started with this training" tsunami said with enthusiasm ready to get stronger and more disciplined through the efforts of getting better.
with kurama
" okay kurama you air bullets are good but they could be better so lets do that and after that we can teach you uuuuuuhh ember yea lets go with that" naruto said unsure of what fire moves would be good to start off with due to his hard to control power so he decided to go with the weakes fire type move to improve his control and get him started on getting used to using different elements.As he decided to do that he put the TM in the TM player as a familiar proffessor showed up in a hologram projection.
" kukui here how ya doing my friend so i see you want to learn ember huh well no need to keep ya waiting whatcha gonna have to do is take a deep breath and get all fired up with me hah see what i did there ahem anyways i want you to feel the energy flowing inside you ya done that? good now move it to your lungs take a deep breath and use that breath to churn your energy with the air in your lungs making it hotter and hotter and then just exhale out of your mouth and boom you can spit out a spicy ember anyways enjoy learning have a blazing time and kukui out" the proffesor said excitedly with a laugh
kurama immediately tried to do as instructed aaaaaaand it blew up in his face leaving a black and smoky kurama i puffing out dust causing naruto to fall over clutching his sides in laughter pointing at the comical seen with tears in his eyes
"hahahahahahahahahhhaha why not try it- hahhahahahahhahahahahah - again-hahahahhahahahahahahahahha" naruto said struggling in between laughs causing a annoyed tick mark to form on the scorched fox
" hey its not like you could do better dumbass i- i just put too much power in this pathetic move cause i'm fucking awesome ok yea" kurama shouted in anger clearly annoyed and slightly embarrased at someone laughing at him for his comical failure on the move.
3 hours later
after all 3 pokemon were done training they all met up again along with the 3 naruto with 2 of them dispelling transferring their memories to the original.
"alright guys all of you worked really hard so lets have some rest then we'll do a battle royal between the 3 of you guys and finally we'll eat and make some progress going to the nearest village " naruto said with an easy going smile as he explained this plan to his partners to which they all nodded excited to show eachother how they grew in general.
20 minutes later
after the pokemon decided to get all healed up and have a nap whilst naruto had a quick jog to keep him busy they all regrouped and started stretching prepared for their fated battle royal.
"okay guys i want a fair clean fight ok no moves meant to hurt too bad and no fighting someone who cant go on or decided to give up ok" naruto said intending his pokemon not to hurt eachother too bad.
"gotcha" ," i understand" ," i'll try big bro" said kurama tsunami and quake respectfully as they heard the rules twitching with barely controlled excitement and fighting spirit
" ready set fight"
BATTLE START
quake was the fist one to make a move jumping in the air and using dragon rage trying to hit kurama or tsunami unfortunately for the dragon she could hit either instead she was met mid-air by tsunami who used pound to relentlesly punch the immature dragon. meanwhile kurama was running along the floor aiming to intercept both pokemon as they fell which he did hitting both with his tail before focuisng on tsunami hitting her with an air bullet this time was enough for quake to shake off the damage she took rushing at kurama using pound catching him by suprise catching him in a combo finishing it off with a dragon rage sending kurama flying. meanwhile tsunami was rushing back following kurama as was sent flying spitting out three water bullets that hit the flying fox before running after him finally catching up hitting him with 5 hits all enhanced with pound which forced kurama use his ability forming like a red bubbly cloak around his body
"alright time to get serious" kurama said his voice deeper and shaking with power which intimidated tsunami slightly before she shook herself out of it. quake eventually caught up to tsunami and kurama when she found kurama covered in some sort of cloak however this intimidating sight didn't stop her as she charged right at kurama dragon breath.
this move however didn't hit instead kurama dodged and hit quake and then tsunami which sent her flying. quake staggered for a moment however she refused to lose rushing at kurama whilst he was distracted using pound on him hitting him with another combo however instead of sending him flying away he ended it with an uppercut and finally ended the combo with her most powerfull move her dragon pulse which hit kurama head on damaging kurama greatly as he panted and however quake looked even worse completely drained and looking shaky on her feet when she was hit by a water bullet knocking her out.
" okay it's time to end this kurama" the froaky said clearly tired to which kurama nodded to also clearly exhausted and drained from trying to heal that last attack.
"guess so froggy" kurama said still confident even in exhausted. there was a moment of silence both pokemon wondering what the other would do before kurama charged in.
as kurama charged tsunami rapidly made 2 shadow clones 2 of them rushing at the tailed beast however one of them ran to another direction. as tsunami and kurama were engaged in close combat tsunami sent a punch sending kurama up in the air were the clone hit kurama with its strongest pound yet sending kurama down to the ground as the clone exploded. when kurama hit the ground he quiclly recovered and ran hitting tsunami with an air bullet then slashing tsunami with one of his claws. tsunami however counted on this kicking kurama as he did this chipping away at him and his health.
kurama and tsunami were on the verge of unconsciousness standing staring at eachother before charging at eachother one more time with kurama ending up near tsunami fasyer than her weakend state could react knocking her out but as he did this he got hit by 3 water bullets knocking him out.
BATTLE END
"and the winner is tsunami" naruto said before realising tgat all hus pokemon were unconscious so he healed all of them up.
"did i win" quake said once she woke up clearly not aware she was the first one out
"no but you did good however" naruto said with a small chuckle clearly appreciating her confidence
" so who did end up winning" the dragon asked clearly curious as both her older sibling were super strong.
" that would be out tsunami here" naruto said with a smile pointing at tsunami causing her to blush and causing kurama to scoff clearly upset about this hurt to his pride
" anyways lets get a move on to the next town" naruto said however unknown to his pokemon he was thinking ' wonder what ash is up to he's probably found himself another pokemon by now and knowing him he's probably trained them up a ton too' in clear fondness to his best friend and brother in all but blood as everyone had their dinner slept and moved on to continue their journey.
CHAPTER END
author here tell me what you think of this chapter i wanted to show you guys what the squad would do in general as they travel alongside developing all the pokemon's personalities.
and not just to clear up the confusion kurama is the stribgest member of the team however he lost due to basically being ganged up on by the other's and due to that dragon pulse causing a lot of damage meaning he spent a lot of energy trying to heal from that with that exhaustion clouding him and causing him to fall for tsunami's tactic. so to clarify tsunami won due to a mixture of extreme luck and some smarts however a lot of her own strength was vital. in an one on one situation kurama would've won hell if kurama didng get hit by that dragon pulse he would've won.
