Cole soon appeared from behind a waterfall as he soon came close to cera who was in the middle of her moment. Earlier, Cole had felt pretty bad about the trick they pulled on her and sought to make amends.
"You guys go clean up.", he said as he started to walk off.
"Where are you going to go?", Littlefoot had asked.
"I need a moment with Cera to talk this out.", Cole explained, "Sure, she's a jerk sometimes, but maybe we went a little bit."
The others went off and Cole came back to reality as he walked closer to Cera who seemed to hear him and looked up trying to look tough, but tears were in her eyes.
"What do you want?", she asked harshly.
Cole gave her a sympathetic look.
"I came to see if you were alright."
Cera turned away for a minute, but Cole knew she was still listening.
"Cera, I know something is bothering you and I really need you to try and-"
"I'm fine!", Cera cried as she turned to him again, "If you hadn't pushed me off that ledge, I would have been fine!"
Cole raised an eyebrow.
"You're going to blame me, even though you chose to go that way, gave into my persuasion, and led your friends into such danger without a second thought of their well being?", he countered keeping his calm tone, "Sounds more like you brought it all on yourself and you don't want to admit it."
Cera's expression faltered as Cole's words set in and her woe resurfaced. She tried to think of something, but she found it hard to do so.
"Three-horns don't get scared.", she insisted although she didn't sound so sure.
"Cera, everyone gets scared.", Cole told her, "You know, your father was scared when he lost you in that earthquake not so long ago."
Cera suddenly looked less annoyed and more confused.
"Daddy was scared?", she asked, "But, he told me that-"
"Probably cause he didn't know himself.", Cole stated as he seated himself beside her, "Cera, I'm going to tell you something that I told Littlefoot a while ago. A herd is more than just one kind traveling together. A herd is a family who looks out for and accepts each other despite their differences."
Cera said nothing, but looked away as the tears in her eyes started to dry. Cole felt like he had said enough and got up. He walked away a bit before Cera's voice caught his ears.
"I saw you go back."
Cole paused and looked her way to see Cera was looking his way a bit humbled.
"When Sharptooth first attacked us, I saw you go towards him to save Littlefoot.", Cera continued, "Nobody ever goes toward him at all and yet, you did. Ever since I thought of seeing you as a rival and even though I tried insulting you, to hurt you, and even degrade you, you still don't lose that calm tone. It made me feel like I wasn't good enough so I… I wanted to prove I wasn't."
Cole felt sympathy for her, but knew he had to do it gently.
"Cera, I never wanted to be a rival to anyone. I just wanted to be a friend and being brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble."
Cole saw the look in Cera's eyes grow calm and the expression on her face told him that she learned her lesson.
"You know, we'll be happy to let you back in if you want to.", Cole offered.
Cera didn't think twice and got to her feet before following Cole away from the waterfalls.

They didn't go far when they found the others playing in a pool of water nearby with some greens that Spike was feasting on. Cera paused a moment, but when she looked to Cole, he gave a gesture that she should go for it. As they approached, Littlefoot and the others came over.
"Guys, I'm sorry.", Cera admitted, "I…I shouldn't have done what I did."
Littlefoot looked a bit apologetic himself.
"I'm sorry too.", he admitted, "I just wanted to go the way my mother told me to, but I just… I don't think I can."
Cole felt better as the group was looking like they were making amends for what had gone down. Cera and Littlefoot apologizing and harmony was restored making everything right in the world. Unfortunately, the moment only lasted for a short time as a roar caught their ears making them all turn to see Sharptooth high above them obviously still hunting them.
"Ahh! Sharptooth!", Petrie screamed.
The group huddled in the shadows of a rock that was nearby and cautiously peeked out while Spike hid his head in the water below.
"It's Sharptooth.", Ducky said silently.
Cole frowned at the sight of the predator lurking up above.
"Does this guy have anything other to do?", he grumbled.
"I told you, once he chooses his prey, he never stops hunting it.", Cera reminded.
Littlefoot looked determined as Cole noticed a look in his eye.
"Let's get rid of him once and for all.", he said.
Cole smiled although the others didn't look so sure.
"How?", Ducky asked, "We are not big. We are not."
Cole turned to the rest with determination and a smile.
"True, but underestimation of the small can be costly to any form of predator."
The others looked confused as Spike brought his head up, but Cole kept talking.
"We just need a plan and if we all work together, we can end Sharptooth's reign of terror now and forever."
Littlefoot suddenly started talking to back Cole up.
"Listen, we'll lure him to the deep end of the pond. He can't swim with those scrawny arms. Cera, Spike and I will push that big rock over his head. Petrie, you whistle when he's in just the right spot: where the water gets dark."
Cole nodded.
"That could work, but now we need someone to bring the big bully here."
Everyone paused, but then turned to Ducky smiling while she suddenly looked scared as she realized they were electing her.
"Me?", she squeaked before shaking her head defiantly, "Oh no. No, no, no."
"Relax Ducky.", Cera said grinning, "You just have to get him here and we'll handle the rest."
Ducky still didn't look on board and Cole put a hand on her shoulder.
"Hey, if it makes you feel better, I'll be right beside you.", he assured, "You'll be in your element and I'll get out of dodge enough to have the others take him out."

Cole and Ducky cautiously came up to the large cave entrance after Sharptooth stomped his way into it. Cole could see that Ducky was terrified and though he tried to be brave, every part of him was telling him to run as far away as fast as his feet could carry him. As they looked to see the predator had his back to them, they came forward a bit, but cringed when he growled as if threatening them. Cole took a few breaths and Ducky clutched his leg before Cole finally let it out.
"Hey, you big lumbering lizard!", Cole called out, "Over here!"
Sharptooth suddenly turned to face them and his expression was one of pure hate and vengeance.
"And now we have to run.", Cole said as his nerve finally failed.
Sharptooth charged as Ducky clung to Cole's leg before Cole bolted back out the cave and towards the pond only for Sharptooth to be right behind them before lunging forward and with his jaws open ready to chomp off a large bite. Fortunately for Cole, he slipped and was in the air long enough to land on Sharptooth's snout just as the predator slid down the slight slope into the pond. Cole felt Ducky let go and hoped she found safety as he tried to keep ahead of Sharptooth's snapping jaws. He heard a whistle above knowing Petrie had alerted the others, but now Sharptooth's attention was on them! Cole tried to think of something, but as Sharptooth got ready to jump up, Petrie had hurled a rock his way and it hit his head which got the predator to look up angrily as Petrie laughed in spite of himself. Sharptooth rammed his head into the cliffside making it vibrate violently and Petrie lost his holding and plummeted towards Sharptooth, but luckily was able to avoid the deadly jaws as Sharptooth let out a blast of air sending Petrie upward where he flapped and suddenly was hovering in place as the others suddenly noticed.
"I'm flying.", Petrie said before suddenly smiling, "I'm flying. I'm flying!"
Cole saw Sharptooth look his way just as Ducky came out of hiding and chased them again as she held on to his leg.
"Help!", they both screamed as Sharptooth was on them again.
Petrie saw his friends in danger and now with confidence, he took off and flew down to Sharptooth's bad eye just as Sharptooth had Cole conrnered and pulled the eyelids enough to make them snap back and get the predator to rear up his head and try to shake the flyer off. Cole saw that Littlefoot, Cera, and Spike almost had the boulder ready to drop and knew they needed more time if they were going to make this work! Unfortunately, Sharptooth saw it too and was about to leap up. Before he knew what the heck he was doing, Cole grabbed Sharptooth's tail and was holding on to it for dear life as the predator leaped up and was on the boulder right above the group below him. Cole had to move fast and hurried to Sharptooth's head and was on top of it trying to keep the predator distracted while seeing the boulder needing just one more push and it would fall.
"Guys, do it now!", Cole called out.
"But Cole, you're going to-", Littlefoot started.
"Guys, it's now or never!", Cole yelled back.
Littlefoot, Cera, and Spike pushed as hard as they could and the boulder fell along with Sharptooth. Cole saw Petrie lift Ducky to safety and was about to jump off Sharptooth's head, but the predator snapped his jaws enough to snare Cole's leg pulling him down with him! He looked up just as they both hit the water and the boulder smacked into Sharptooth pushing them both under the water with a thunderous splash.

Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, and Spike all watched as the water resided. There were no signs of Sharptooth, but Cole wasn't seen either.
"He…gave his life for us.", Littlefoot said but tears came to his eyes.
The familiar feeling of loss and sadness reared its ugly head as the memory of his mother's death. The others were feeling just as bad as the thought of Cole surviving the fall started to disappear.
"He was…our friend.", Ducky sobbed as she remembered how Cole helped her in her part, "Poor Cole."
Even Cera couldn't hold back her sorrow.
"He did this for us.", she said trying hard not to cry, "Why did you have to go you…"
She just stopped as she couldn't continue as the group made their way from the ledge as the pain just seemed too much to bear.
"Poor, poor Cole.", Ducky sobbed as she rode Spike.
Littlefoot was the first to leave, but a faint sound of bubbles popping grabbed his ears. The others noticed him stop and head back to the ledge and they followed. They all looked down to see the water churn for a minute and then Cole suddenly burst from the water gasping for air while making his way slowly to the beach nearby.
"Hey, it's Cole!", Littlefoot said in amazement.
He raced to the beach down below with the others following just as excited.
"He's alive!", Petrie cheered.
Cole had barely managed to get himself on the beach coughing and gaging from his near drowning when he looked up to see the group of kids racing towards him.
"Guys, wait, I'm not over my-"
He was cut off cause he was tackled and was rolling on the beach with Spike licking his face like a large dog while Petrie and Ducky gripped his neck so tight Cole thought he was going to pass out if they didn't let go when they did.
"Don't ever scare us like that again!", Cera said firmly.
Cole nodded while smiling weakly. By the time the kids finally got off of him, Cole struggled to his feet as he caught his breath.
"Cole, is Sharptooth…", Littlefoot started.
Cole held up a hand as he seated himself on a large rock nearby to stop him and gave a smile.
"He's dead.", he said, "Sharptooth is dead and no more shall he walk the earth again."
The sun was setting and the group settled into a nearby cave which was empty and as Cole got a fire going, the group was still hyped about the event that had occurred.
"I still can't believe we did this.", Cera said excitedly, "We took down Sharptooth."
"Like I said before Cera, if we work together, we can overcome anyone."
Cera looked humbled as she remembered it was a group effort and not a solo act. After a quick dinner of gathered greens, the moon had risen and the kids were starting to get sleepy.
"Okay everyone, time for bed.", Cole said gently.
After the group settled, Cole lay near them and as the fire's embers flickered, he was soon asleep as well.

The following morning, Cole was up bright and early and saw some clouds roll in. He stretched and yawned as he still recalled yesterday when he saw that a drop of tree sap was on his finger.
"How did that get there?", he wondered.
Then, as if like magic, the drop floated off his finger and became a small raindrop shape before a piece of twain that reminded Cole of his necklace from earlier. He saw a pool of water and saw that the white spot on his neck had disappeared just as Littlefoot's voice reached his ears.
"Cole, you okay?"
Cole looked over his shoulder to see Littlefoot wide awake and the others starting to wake up also. Then a faint whisper reached their ears.
"Littlefoot. Littlefoot."
Cole and Littlefoot were both in awe as it was Littlefoot's mother as they saw a cloud form into the shape of her.
"Littlefoot."
Cole and Littlefoot were in awe as the cloud started moving along.
"Mother, I…I tried to do what you told me.", Littlefoot told her as if she was there, "But it's just too hard. I…I'll never find the Great Valley."
Then the cloud started moving along with the breeze and Cole suddenly felt like it ment something.
"Littlefoot, follow her.", he instructed.
He gave chase with Littlefoot right behind him. They followed the cloud through a tunnel and came to an open area where they paused and looked up to the cloud of Littlefoot's mother as a ray of light as if from her own heart came upon them and then it opened to reveal a vast open valley covered with green and flowing rivers while mountains formed some kind of wall around it.
"The Great Valley.", Littlefoot said in awe.
Cole knew it was it and turned over his shoulder.
"Cera, Spike, Ducky, Petrie over here!", he called.
The other four were with them in no time as they looked out into the valley.
"Littlefoot, you found it.", Ducky said, "Yep, yep, yep."
We did it.", Littlefoot said proudly, "We did it together."
As the group headed down, Cole felt a familiar feeling around him which made him pause.
"Now what?", he asked.
"Only the journey forward my friend."
Cole turned to see Imastun looking his way knowingly.
"Imastun, will they be-", Cole started.
"They'll be very much alright.", Imastun answered smiling, "You've done well."
He turned and walked away as Cole then started running to see if he could catch up with the others when a familiar feeling happened again.
"Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike!", he called out, "I won't forget any of you!"
But before his words reached their ears, Cole had vanished away without leaving a trace behind.
(A/N: I'd like to thank Byacikir for the second idea he suggested and I hope I did it good here.)
