Cheerful laughter greeted Brooklyn and Kenji, after the Elevator doors reopened and KJ stormed out first.
Kenji gave way to his Girlfriend with a loving gesture and, after that, he also got out of the Elevator...was nearly knocked over by Bumpy.
The big Ankylosaurus Lady was obviously very happy to see Kenji again and sometimes forgot how big she actually was.
"Woah Bumby, okay...yes, I missed you too", Kenji exclaimed in surprise, patting the dinosaur's head once before the animal decided, to pause here and now right in front of Kenji.
So Bumpy lay down on the ground and Kenji was allowed to walk around the big dinosaur, to finally get to his friends like Brooklyn did before.
"Hey guys, nice to see you again", Kenji grinned and was immediately pulled into a hug by Sammy.
"Oh we missed you so much! The research trip to the other end of Isla Nublar was totally cool and Darius found such a technological thing that...", Sammy broke the hug again and looked invitingly at her Boyfriend, who was small technical gadget out of his jacket pocket.
"...still emitting to work. It almost seems like one of those Bluetooth wireless headphones, presumably from one of the security guards. The only Question now is, how the thing stays active for so long without losing the battery power", explained Darius and held the white headphone up.
"You drove to the other end of the island - to look at a pair of headphones?", Brooklyn asked, amused.
"Not only because of that, but we saw a herd of Stegosaurs, it's the offspring of the old herd that have started their own little herd , at the other end of the island. They seem to live in co-existence with a pack of Compsognathus - It was so fascinating!" Darius said enthusiastically.
"And we wrote down a lot of information about these two species of dinosaurs as well", Sammy added proudly. This little research trip had been a complete success.
"But Mom and Dad didn't bring us anything back! Not even this cool plant that turns your skin purple", came the voice from the flower bed , in front of the Entrance to the newly built Camp Cretaceous, where the Children had settled down
The People who complained so loudly about not being given a cool skin coloring plant as a souvenir, were Sammy and Darius' two children.
"There's a plant on the island , that gives you purple colored skin?", Yaz asked, amused.
"Sure, your kiddos get the cool stuff and we have to deal with the souvenir shop stuff. Dino-Nerd, that's not cool", Kenji smiled now.
"Our own kids fight, when they have the exact same t-shirt, Kenji. Maybe we shouldn't look for a plant , that turns their skin purple", Brooklyn said sarcastically.
"A poisonous plant? I mean, we all know what happened after the first Campfire, when Kenji wanted to prove to us, how cool he is?", Ben now inquired skeptically.
"Hey, I've only gotten stomach aches from these Berries and I'm still the coolest", Kenji said happly.
The 26-year-old skilfully ignored his daughter Brenda's comment, that she was much cooler.
All eyes were now on Sammy and Darius. After all, it was their kids, who started out loud about this cool plant.
"What? No, no...definitely not. It was completely different Story. The two of them just have a thriving imagination", Darius said, shaking his head and Sammy took on the job, of explaining exactly what the plant was all about.
"Well, y'all remember that really bad rainy day a few weeks ago. Fredrick and Cassidy were begging so much, to see the blueberry tree that Darius and I planted near the waterhole for our - Camp Cretaceous family's five year anniversary - . They have so many blueberries eaten, that their skin got a little purple from the juice of the berries, you know, when you it eat it and some juice lands on your hand? That´s what happend to the Kids", Sammy giggled as she thought back to that Memory.
"Wait, when did you have the time, to plant this tree and why am I just now finding out, that we have fresh blueberries on the Island?", Yaz smiled. One of the Fruits that the athlete loved were Blueberries.
For her second anniversary, Ben got her blueberry ice cream from the Cinema with a blueberry muffin he baked himself.
"Didn't those two disappear for so long, during the work after the storm?", Kenji prompted the general public.
"Ha! I get five dollars from you Kenji, I won the Bet", Ben said happily.
"What kind of bet?", Yaz now wanted to know curiously from her boyfriend.
"Oh, I'll tell you that another time okay?", Ben quickly avoided and Kenji also came up with an excuse when Brooklyn wanted to know more about this bet.
"Well um, that was a totally boring bet and I now owe Ben five dollars. How was it with four children around Ben and Yaz?", Kenji quickly changed the subject and brought up Ben and Yaz's three-day child care.
"Oh it was relative..." Before Yaz could simply reply with , the young adults heard a curse from the flower bed and a few seconds later Fredrick and Cassidy ran away from one of Yaz and Ben's children, towards their own parents, Sammy and Darius.
"Give that back Freddie! You can´t give Bumpy any Marshmallows, otherwise she'll get a stomach ache again!"a little black-haired boy with blue-black eyes shouted angrily these words, and tried to take the small package with the marshmallows away from Fredrick.
Before that could happen, however, Fredrick threw the pack to his sister Cassidy.
"And what did you gave her? Oreo cookies. It's almost the same. Uncle Beeeeen! I want to give Bumpy marshmallows too. Like Otis did!", Cassidy started to whimper as the little black haired boy with blue-black eyes , managed to take the packet of marshmallows away.
"Nobody feeds Bumpy marshmallows or Oreo cookies. She could get sick...or is trying to eat our Snacks empty. You best divide the Marshmallows between the Group, okay?", Ben explained and took the pack of marshmallows to open them and then hand them back to Otis with a serious look.
While there was a section on the island that belonged to the veterinarian, the camp family was not equipped for a severe case of these problems that could affect Bumpy.
The children seemed satisfied with the Solution and a little later , they sat in a circle in front of the flower bed and shared the Marshmallows.
"You meant to say Yaz?", Sammy laughed since Yaz had been so kindly interrupted.
"Most of the time it wasn't too much stress. Otis and Althia were happy to play with their friends", Yaz finished her statement.
Of course, it didn't have to be said that four children could sometimes get into a fight like this.
"So you don't want to add more...to this wonderful experience?", Brooklyn commented with a grin.
"Want to tell us something Brooks?", Sammy teased the pink-haired young woman with interest.
"Huh? No, oh god no. My two 11-year-old twins will do just fine...and we are in Charge of the Camp and everything...don´t give me that Look Kenji!" laughed Brooklyn.
"It was interesting having four kids around, when Bumpy was the one who used to babysit and keep an eye on the kids", Ben said, sitting down on the floor next to the now slumbering Bumpy.
"Speaking of 'keep an eye on the kids'. Where's Althia?", Yaz said, looking questioningly from the kids with their marshmallows to her Friends.
Because just now there were still six children sitting there. Yaz's daughter Althia was apparently no longer sitting there.
"I'm here Mommy? You brought the picnic blanket and it was still here", came Althia's voice next to Yaz and she turned to the child in relief.
While it wouldn't be the first time one of the kids in the group just went exploring and disappeared, Yaz loves having her little family around.
"Right, there was something with the picnic blanket", Yaz smiled and stroked Althia's hair once.
She looked so much like Ben. And yet had a lighter black eye color that, if you looked closely in the sunlight was paired with a sparkle of blue.
Althia giggled happily once and then ran back to her friends with the picnic blanket.
The adults sat down on some camping chairs in front of the entrance of the newly built Camp Cretaceous, Kenji and Darius got some packs of fruit juice and freshly prepared salad from the camp entrance.
Bumpy let out a satisfied sigh , after Ben stopped scratching her ear and the sun shone on the dinosaur's back.
After three whole days, the young adults were finally reunited as a group and wanted to celebrate this reunion a bit.
And so they didn't notice , how the found Bluetooth headphone suddenly started to flash and sent a GPS signal - before the battery suddenly ran out and the current location was sent to a computer...far away from Isla Nublar.
