Chapter 3 Solution

Hours after the probe attack, Hathaway was in the most secure area in the Pentagon having a crisis meeting with several members of congress and the military, as well as various members of different government agencies. Like the president himself, several of the people attending the meeting were freaked out by the incident and were madly brainstorming coming up with various crazy ideas on how to deal with the crisis.
"We could surrender to the aliens!"
"Build a underground city and hide!"
"Call on other aliens to help us!"
"Build an armada of ships and flee the planet!"
None of these ideas were any good and Hathaway let out an annoyed sigh and walked to the other side of the room reaching for a large red ominous button.
"Mr. President Stop! That button will launch all our nukes!" Cried an aid.
"Oh. Where's the button that gets me coffee?" Said Hathaway.
"Over there sir." Said the aid pointing to a red button next to the other one.
"Who the heck designed this place?" Grumbled Hathaway as he pressed the other button and got himself a cup of coffee.
"You did sir." Said the aid.
"Huh? I should fire someone for that." Said Hathaway as he sat back at the table.
It was then that National Security Agency, Agent Rick Dicker spoke up and offered a solution to the crisis.
"Mr. President I believe our best asset to use against this alien threat, would be the Supers."
"You honestly believe a group of people with powers can beat a highly advanced robot that took nearly everything our military threw at it?" Asked a general.
"Yes I do. This wouldn't be the first time our military encountered a robot their weapons couldn't harm and the Supers beat it for us. The incident in Metroville is a good example of how powerful and skilled Supers are." Said Rick.
"True. But do you think they're up to the task." Asked one aid.
"They are. The Supers think and see differently then we do. I believe they can beat this alien threat with their skills and abilities." Said Rick.
"I agree with Agent Dicker." Said a new voice.
Everyone turned to see a military general known General Warren R. Monger parachute and land in the room.
"General Monger." Greeted Rick with a nod as the general with a nod.
"Agent Dicker." Greeted Monger as he removed his parachute.
The general turned to the president and the others and spoke.
"I fully agree with using Supers to combat this alien threat. They're raw power and skills are exactly what we need. I would also like to throw in my own assets to work alongside the Supers in a combined joint effort."
"The monsters." Said Rick.
"Monsters?" Asked Hathaway.
"That's right monsters." Said Monger walking over to a large computer screen and began to pull up various images of monsters.
An image of a massive orange fluffy creature appeared on the screen.
"I have been hunting monsters and relocating to a secure military facility. This big fella is called Insectosaurus. He was once a normal grub, until nuclear radiation mutated him and caused him to grow."
The next image was of a strange green ape fish hybrid.
"The Missing Link. A ancient creature that was frozen thousands of years ago, until he thawed out and found himself in the present."
The next imagine was of a man wearing a lab coat with the head of a cockroach.
"Dr. Cockroach. He was once a brilliant scientist who created a machine that would give people the abilities of a cockroach, such as surviving nuclear blasts and longevity. But there was a an accident and he ended up mutating into a half man half cockroach."
The next imagine was of a blue glob of slime with a mouth and a singular eye.
"Meet Benzonate Ostylezene Bicarbonate or B.O.B for short. The end result of an experiment combining a genetically engineered tomato with chemically altered ranch salad dressing."
The last image was of a giant fifty foot woman with platinum white hair bursting out of a church wearing a wedding dress that barely held together.
"Our latest asset is called Ginormica. She once a normal women who got struck by a meteor that exposed her to a strange radiation that made her grow and gave her incredible strength."
The screen went dark and Monger faced Hathaway. The president rubbed his chin in deep thought.
"Quite a team you got general. You know I'm liking this plan already. Let's have the Supers meet your monsters for pow wow to get to know each other and work on their teamwork. Then will put this Heroes and Monsters vs Aliens plan into action!" Said Hathaway with a grin.
