Chapter 9 Chase

The Supers and the Monsters were loaded on a plane to head to San Francisco to face the Robot Probe. Insectosaurus was transported using a military copter with a big bright light and Jack-Jack was left back at the base. The plane arrived outside San Francisco as the Robot Probe. General Monger was among the teams and whistled loudly as he saw the robot.
"That's really an impressive robot. Well team I wish y'all the best of luck. Try not to destroy the robot too badly. My people want to study it afterwards." Said Monger before heading back into the plane and it took off.
"Alright let's turn this oversized dented can into a even bigger dented can." Said Link stretching his arms.
"Have to say that robot is quite large. I calculate it's a bit bigger then Insectosaurus." Said Dr. Cockroach.
"Does anyone actually have a plan?" Asked Frozone.
"Yeah I have nothing. I'm big, but that things gigantic. Really having second thoughts about this whole thing." Said Susan looking nervous.
"That robot looks top heavy. We could possibly knock it onto it's back if we can get level with it." Said Mr. Incredible.
"Splendid idea." Said Dr. Cockroach.
The Robot Probe continued towards the team and the city. B.O.B slithered up to the robot and called out to it.
"Hey there. We are here to destroy you."
The Robot Probe stopped and a light blue beam shot out and scanned the members of the team before landing on Susan and turned red and vanished.
Back up space aboard the alien command ship, Gallaxhar watched a video screen that showed him live footage of what was going on in San Francisco.
"Finally found you. Soon the Quantonium will be mine." Said Gallaxhar as he looked at Susan.
In San Francisco, the Robot Probe sprouted it's arms and began to pick up speed as it headed towards the team. The Supers and Monsters eyed each other nervously as Susan gulped loudly and looked like she was experiencing a panic attack. Helen took notice of the giant woman's distress and quickly took charge.
"Susan why don't you and I head into the city and let the others handle this." Said Helen as she used her powers to climb up onto Susan's right shoulder.
"Are you...sure?" Asked Susan.
"I'm sure. You're completely terrified. That's perfectly reasonable. You don't have to fight this if you don't want to." Assured Helen.
"Ok." Said Susan as she started to head into the city with Helen.
"We got this." Said Mr. Incredible.
The Robot Probe reached the team and stomped a big foot down towards forcing everyone to dodge out of the way to avoid being crushed. Everyone except B.O.B managed to get out of the way of the foot as it stomped down and rose back up. B.O.B was completely unharmed though now he was stuck to the Robot Probe's foot like a piece of gum.
"I got him guys!" Yelled B.O.B before the Robot Probe stomped on the ground again heading into the city with it's unexpected hitchhiker stuck to the bottom of it's foot.
Frozone, Reflux, and He-lectrix blasted at the robot with their powers and Mr. Incredible and Brick ripped out big chunks of concrete and hurled them at the Robot Probe trying to get it's attention. All the attacks hit the big robot, but they didn't damage the robot nor get it's attention as it continued on into the city.
"It's completely ignoring us!" Complained Link.
"It seems to be focused on something and if I'm not mistaken it's going in the same direction as Susan and Elastigirl." Said Dr. Cockroach.
"We need someone fast to keep tabs on the robot and if it's after the girls for some reason they need to be alerted." Said Mr. Incredible.
"I'm on it." Said Dash before he took off with a burst of super speed.
"We'll back him up." Said Frozone as he used his powers to create a slide of ice and went after Dash.
Screech flapped his wings and took flight.
"They're not the only ones who are fast. I got my own special mode of transportation." Said Link as he walked over to a manhole and pulled it off.
Link dove into the sewer and began to swim at incredible speed into the city.
"Cool, but kinda of gross." Said Violet.
"So the res of us just walk?" Asked Voyd.
"I believe I can provide us with some speedy transport." Said Dr. Cockroach as he headed to a nearby abandoned trolley and began to get to work on it.
Back in the city, Susan was creeping through the abandoned streets with Helen on her shoulder. It was an odd and creepy feeling to see a normally bustling city like San Francisco abandoned. It at least made things easier for Susan to walk around without worrying about stepping on someone. Susan was looking for a good place to rest and lie low from the robot fight, when she glanced behind and was horrified to see the Robot Probe standing a few hundred yards behind some smaller buildings looking at her and Helen. Dash came speeding up to the two.
"Hey we think the robot might be following you!" Called Dash.
Susan stepped to the left and the eye of the robot followed her. She stepped to the right and the eye followed her.
"Why is it looking at me?" Asked Susan fearfully.
"I don't know." Said Helen.
The Robot Probe decided to move forward and smashed right through the buildings and began to go after Susan and Helen! Susan yelled in fear and began running as the robot chased after her destroying several buildings in the process. Dash ran to the side keeping a close eye on his mom and Susan. Susan leaped onto the roof of one building and began to run across the roofs of some nearby buildings with the Robot Probe in pursuit. She eventually ran out of roofs and tried to jump across a street to another set of buildings, but slammed into the side of it and landed on her feet. Susan realized she couldn't outrun the robot, but then her eyes landed on a abandoned yellow sports car that was roughly the size of her right foot and had a crazy idea.
A few seconds later Susan had placed the sports car on her foot like a roller skate and was going down the street at an incredible speed. Susan saw a truck up ahead and place her left foot onto it and now she had two makeshift roller skates and was picking up a great deal of speed putting some distance between herself and the Robot Probe.
"Clever." Said Helen from Susan's shoulder.
"Thanks." Said Susan.
The Robot Probe couldn't keep up with the fast moving giant and decided it would simply calculate the course Susan was taking and take a different route to intercept her. It made it's quick calculations as it began to make it's way to the bay. At that moment a trolley with rockets attached to the side carrying Dr. Cockroach and the rest of the Supers drove by the Robot Probe's feet and B.O.B who had been stuck to the bottom of the Robot Probe's foot decided to pull himself off the foot and plop down on the trolley causing Dr. Cockroach who was driving to lose control and veer away from the robot and crash into some parked cars and street lamps. The Robot Probe ignored all this as it got into the bay and headed towards the Golden Gate Bridge.
