"Thank you for waiting. We've restored your Pokemon to full health. We hope to see you again!"
Skylark thought about that line as he exited the Pokemon Center. How odd that the Nurse wanted to see him again, meaning she wanted his Pokemon to get hurt more. The Pokemon Centres were non-profit, so it would be odd for them to want to see any trainer again.
It had been a week since Skylark was sent to Pewter City, a quiet city nestled between rugged mountains and rocks. At first, he had been excited, passing each day in his motel room waiting for news of why he was stationed here (the motels were paid for by Team Rocket through shell accounts and credit cards for them). But soon he became bored (by the second day), so he headed out into the city to try his luck with training his Gastly.
From the outskirts of Pewter City to the Viridian Forest, from Rattatas to Beedrills, Skylark had battled every wild Pokemon that came his way to strengthen his Gastly. He caught none of them of course, too busy focusing on strengthening his Gastly. Especially that Hypnosis move of its. After the successful show on Jessie's Ekans, Skylark was adamant about strengthening that move in particular. Especially considering that the move had potential beyond just Pokemon. He made it a mission for him and Gastly to polish that move to perfection on Pokemon, before moving forward to the next stage.
His train of thought was interrupted when a trainer bumped into him.
"Watch where you're going you punk!" the boy snapped before rushing into the Pokemon Centre.
Sky watched him go with narrowed eyes. How dare that brat think he could just ram into him and snap at him for his mistake. Gastly popped out of its Pokeball and looked equally indignant. Pokemon and Trainer shared a look before they shared a smirk.
The boy came back out of the Pokemon Centre and turned a corner, only for him to come face to face with a Gastly. With a grin, the boy pulled out a Pokeball, only for his body to grow limp and his eyes to glaze over.
"I knew you could do it" Skylark stepped out of the alley close by, his face covered by a Magikarp mask. "Now kid, I did not appreciate how you insulted me back then. Apologize."
"I'm sorry" the boy muttered.
"Not enough. On your knees, kiss my feet and beg."
The boy fell to his knees slowly, then on his hands, before his lips touched Skylark's shoes.
"Forgive me. It was wrong of me and I shall never do it" the boy spoke against the shoe.
Skylark yanked the kid up to his feet by his collar. He was still under the effects of Hypnosis, meaning there was much more that he could try with the kid.
And he did so after a moment of thought.
"Hand me all the Pokemon you have, then all the Pokeballs you have."
The kid obediently did so, handing him three Pokeballs with Pokemon in them (A Pidgey, a Rattata and a Caterpie) and ten empty Pokeballs.
"Now when you snap out of your Hypnosis, forget we ever met. You lost your Pokeballs in the Viridian Forest."
The boy nods and just stands there, while Skylark walks past him, putting the mask into his bag. He pulls out his phone and flips it open.
"Requesting Pokeball Pickup."
"…"
"Insert the device into Pokemon Centre Transfer Machine and send Pokemon."
He flipped the phone shut and looked it over. There was a slot on the lower end of the device, a flat thin port.
He returned to the Pokemon Centre and made a beeline for the transfer machine. Right below the display, there was a slot wide enough to insert the phone.
And Skylark did just that.
The transfer machine display turned black before green writing appeared on it, a whole bunch of complicated words that made little sense to him.
"Please transfer Pokemon now…"
One after the other Skylark sent in three of the Pokemon he took from the kid.
"If transfer is complete please remove device, else please transfer Pokemon now…"
Skylark yanked the phone out of the slot and the screen went back to its default black. His phone buzzed in his hand, a message.
"Collect information on Pewter Museum…"

The Pewter Museum of Science was located on the northern side of Pewter City and was the second main attraction of the City (the first being the Pewter City Gym).
There were two floors to explore in the Pewter Museum of Science. The First Floor held the front desk and a Fossil Exhibit containing the Fossils of large and small Pokemon. The second floor hosted a space exhibit, featuring a Space Shuttle and a large fragment of Moon Stone that fell onto Mt. Moon.
Each exhibit of the Museum was enclosed behind thick glass cases and each case was rigged with a sensor-based security system that activated on touch (the information was received when Sky 'accidentally' touched an exhibit display) and a camera over each exhibit. Triggering the alarm called the police directly to the Museum (something Sky apologised profusely for since it was his 'mistake' that the false alarm was triggered). The switch to turn the alarm off was behind the front desk, locked behind a code-protected safe door.
Skylark took note of it all, drafted a report and sent it through the mobile communication channel, adding photos of each exhibit and camera position taken from discreet angles. He added exactly what they could expect if the alarm was triggered.
And after he hit send, he waited for communication from the other end.
