Out Swimming for Atlantis's Heart

Kashekim is seen standing and looking down at his ruined ancient having some thoughts that his people will survive despite what he has done to keep his people and the world safe, but his mind has also been thinking about something from the past as he closes his eyes, and a certain memory came up.

(Flashback)

"(Stop! You can't do this; you'll destroy our city and our people!)" A man, the Golden Monkey before Sun Wukong, talked in Atlantean tried to warn his king of the danger he will unleash.

"(Fool! With this power, can we make Atlantis the strongest kingdom in the world, and no one would dare to bring harm to us. How can you not see that?)" Kashekim argued against his Guardian.

"(But messing with that kind of power to use for war is not what Atlantis should stand for.)" The Old Golden Monkey stated.

"(We must be strong and ready for whatever that may come at us, I will protect my people no matter what!)" Kashekim determined.

"(That kind of thinking will only lead to your own destruction along with all of Atlantis!)" The old Golden Monkey stated.

(Flashback End)

"If only I have listened to you back then, old friend. If only…" Kashekim exclaimed clenching onto his staff.

"Kashekim, is everything alright?" Willow asked walking up to him.

"Just in some deep thoughts, I feel that my life will end sooner than expected." Kashekim looked down at his hand.

"Now, don't go saying stuff like that. I bet Atlantis will be truly save with the Golden Monkey before you kick the bucket." Willow said.

"Kick the what?" Kashekim confused of what his second wife just said.

"Sorry, it just this weird saying the old lady Maria said and I too was confused of why would she want to kick a bucket until he explained to me it was an expression for those who have passed away." Willow explained.

"The surface sure has gained some strange new things for the past 9,000 years." Kashekim commented.

"That maybe true, but they also have learned to forward when they look back at the past like the mistake some people made and I'm not pointing at whom." Willow rolled her eyes.

"My mistakes are mine to bare, I do not wish for anyone else to feel responsible for what happened." Kashekim said firm.

"Kashekim, you're being too hard on yourself." Willow stated.

"Perhaps not hard enough. Perhaps I should have remained at the surface and died from the Great Flood when I…" Kashekim's sentence was cut off when he felt his heart aching and kneel down a little.

"Kashekim!" Willow worried and helped her husband hurry to his throne.

"I fear awful may happen." Kashekim breathed heavy.

"Now just stay calm and try to think of some happy thoughts." Willow placed a wet towel on his forehead.

"Kida, where is she now?" Kashekim asked.

"She went out to be with Sun and the rest of his friends." Willow answered, then Kashekim grabs her hand.

"Be careful, I sense that one of them is worse than a snake." Kashekim warned.

(With Jafar)

"Nothing. Still nothing." Jafar angered tapping his fingers on his snake staff.

"Nope, and when we tried asking some folks without raising suspicious, but no one seem to know anything of what we want to know." Qrow said.

"Blasted, I have grown tired of this waiting around as the tenth day is tomorrow." Jafar growled a little.

"Well, the only ones we haven't talked is the king and we both know he don't say anything." Qrow mentioned.

"True, but there is his daughter, Kida who would want to show something to those two special brats." Jafar said as he begins to smirk.

"Yeah, from what I'm looking at, she seems to have grown fond of Sun the most and she would definitely want to show him something important." Qrow stated.

"Something important that will be ours for the taking." Jafar proclaimed.

Speaking of Kida, the first Princess of Atlantis is show walking through the busy street with Yang doing some talking.

"And that's how I won my first martial art tournament when I was 13." Yang finished the story of her young days.

"Amazing, you truly have the gift of a warrior along with the skills to make those explosives." Kida impressed.

"Thanks, it helps to be more than a one trick pony. My mom told me that it's best to be prepare." Yang mentioned.

"That certainly earned your spot with the best exploration team in the world." Jafar complimented as he and Qrow walked up to them.

"Greetings, Commander Jafar, I hope you and the others are enjoying your time in Atlantis." Kida greeted.

"My lady, being here is a dream come true for any who are fascinated in the past, the stories to share with the world." Jafar smiled, with a small twirl.

"And it thanks to your people for bringing us the Golden Monkey that we were able to uncover lost knowledge of the city." Kida said referring to the Fish-cycle and learning to write the dead tongue.

"I'm happy your people thrill, but I'm afraid the fun times maybe over soon." Jafar said with a slight sad expression.

"What do you mean by that?" Kida asked.

"He means we'll be leaving for the surface tomorrow." Qrow answered for Jafar.

"What? But there is so much I want to see, and this is the kind of adventure I've been wanting for my whole life!" Yang gasped.

"Sorry, firecracker, but we got other things back in the surface like families, friends, and your school life." Jafar pointed out.

"Not to mention we may also have to take away Sun as well since he and Jasmine have some of those things to go back to as well." Jafar said hiding a smirk while Kida's eyes widen.

"It's such a sad thing we have to leave Atlantis, I'm sure there are a lot of things you wish to show us like something important and special." Jafar slowly walked away.

"Best to do something together now while we still have time here." Qrow added going in another direction hoping to find more of that Atlantean booze.

Kida watches Jafar walks away and then her mind went to Sun fearing that he is going to leave with them, leaving Atlantis without its guardian once again to struggle for survival as he places her left hand on her breast and onto the spot where the heart it.

"I'm sorry, Kida. I know it's gonna be tough the new friends you made will be leaving, heck I think would want to stay here and see what other kinds of adventure Atlantis have to offer." Yang apologized.

"And Sun, he will be leaving too…" Kida feared.

"Well, I wouldn't say that for sure because he seems dead serious about staying here and maybe Jasmine would too." Yang believed.

"Although, I think it's gonna be tough with Oscar going since some Atlanteans still need to learn their own language and such." Yang added.

"Sun and Oscar, only them combined can they help fully bring Atlantis back to how it once was." Kida said.

"Well, yeah, Sun has the mystical power of the Golden Monkey while Oscar got the brain to how them all." Yang stated.

"Then perhaps it is time I show them something I should have since the first day they came here." Kida believed now is the time.

"Show them what exactly?" Yang asked, mentally hoping it's another of those flying fish ride that looks like a three-headed shark.

"You will see soon, let's go get the boys first and anyone else who wishes to come." Kida said walking fast.

"Something tells me that whatever you want to show them must be really important." Yang guessed, following Kida.

Meanwhile, Jafar is watching the two girls go get Oscar and Sun smiling that is plan is working all perfectly though Qrow on the other hand is glaring at Jafar being angry on the inside.

(Later)

Kida and Yang have found the boys each doing their own thing and Kida brought them somewhere in Atlantis that she wishes for them to see, others came along such as Jasmine, Elm, Blake, Weiss, Ruby, Neon, and Velvet along with Rajah would also like to see what this thing is.

Although, Weiss has a pretty good idea of what that is and knew deep down that now is the right time to show them hopefully before something bad happens.

"You know, when we started this exploration trip. We were expecting to find some broken buildings and pots alike." Oscar mentioned.

"Yeah, we never thought about actually people still living so deep underground." Sun said.

"And it's nice to know that these fireflies won't burn our stuff down like what happened before if you're gentle enough." Jasmine said as she allows one firefly to land on her hand while Sun and Yang chuckles nervously as being reminded of them being the ones who burned the camp down.

"Surprise to see any people managing to thrive in a dump like this. No offense." Elm commented.

"That depends if you think what we've been doing before you got here is thriving." Blake said.

"Indeed, Blake. True our people live, but our culture is dying. We are like a stone the ocean beats against." Kida exclaimed.

"A little of Atlantis is destroy until eventually there will be nothing left." Weiss added.

"It's sad to hear that, and it's weird that your dad isn't doing anything about it now that I think about." Ruby wondered what the king is really hiding.

"The king has been acting a little off throughout the centuries, which is why we intend to find out what that is with your help hopefully." Velvet said as she pets Rajah.

"So, I take it you brought us here specifically because there is something we haven't seen yet." Sun excited.

"Yes, there is a mural here with writing all around the pictures." Kida mentioned.

"And where we found it is right down there in this water." Weiss pointed at the watering pool in front of them.

"Okay, so that means we're going for a late-night swim." Oscar guessed what they're gonna do next. Then felt Neon's pants are thrown on his head.

"Sorry, figure it would be a good time to show off I've been wearing my swimsuit under my clothes." Neon giggled.

"Hey, so have I!" Ruby revealed, now in her red and black bikini.

"Looks like most of us have the same idea." Jasmine chuckled showing her blue and red bikini. Yang wears her yellow bikini while Elm shows hers to be military theme color.

"Great, now I feel underdress." Oscar shocked.

"Don't worry, I got you cover." Sun said holding out Oscar's dark green swimming trunk.

"Did you take that from my hut?" Oscar asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Just in case we go swimming anytime soon." Sun shrugged.

Oscar chuckles taking his trunks walking behind a big rock to quickly change into his swimwear while leaving his folded clothes on a rock, Sun is already prepared as he has been wearing his gold color swimming short the whole day.

"Here, keep these in your mouth at all times once we're under water." Ruby handed everyone a scuba breather.

"What are these?" Velvet asked.

"Scuba Breathers, they can help us breath underwater for a longer period of time and they have this special feature that allow us to talk as well." Ruby explained.

"Another wonderful invention of the surface world." Kida amazed.

"Rajah, you stay here and keep an eye. If anyone comes by looking for us, just point at the water." Jasmine ordered Rajah who nods and stand firm for guard duty.

"Okay, now that we'll all geared up, let's go!" Sun dived into the water ahead of everyone though they didn't jump in for a reason.

"Three. Two. One." Jasmine counted down and Sun quickly resurface.

"Hey Kida, do you and the Atlantean girls want to lead the way because I have no idea where I'm going." Sun asked.

Kida smiles at Sun for his silly and fun-loving ways as she walks into the water and then gave him kiss on the lips for a bit.

"Better keep up." Kida winked before putting on the breather and dives into the water.

"Nice!" Sun smirked as his girlfriends giggle a bit before everyone jumps in and Rajah watch them go hoping nothing bad happens to them.

Deep under the water, the group follows the Atlantean girls as it is easy to see where they are going thanks to their crystal necklaces glowing brightly.

"Testing. Testing. I am a bunny." Velvet decided to test the other hearing her own voice underwater.

"Oh wow, this is awesome! I never thought talking underwater would be impossible!" Velvet swam around in joy.

"I have to admit, this is amazing." Blake smiled.

"I know, now you don't have to worry about holding your breath for too long." Ruby nodded.

"Focus, we're reaching the former dome where the mural is." Weiss alerted everyone.

They have arrived at the giant underwater, broken-down dome building though Kida stop turning around facing everyone.

"Before we enter, I just want to check on if any of the outsiders are doing okay." Kida said.

"Things are going "swimmingly" here." Yang punned.

"We're all good." Jasmine nodded.

"Yeah, I'm not drowning or anything." Oscar shrugged.

"Good, now follow me." Kida smiled and everyone enters the dome building.

They swam around for a bit until they found the mural seeing the giant pictures of Atlantis with what appears to be the giant statues like the ones they saw, they also saw some pictures of foreign invaders trying to get into Atlantis but couldn't.

"The Dome of Light helps protect the city." Sun read one sentence.

"Wow, your people sure had some intense neighbors." Neon commented.

"Seems like it." Velvet said.

"Amazing, this is the complete History of Atlantis! All this is just like Plato described it." Oscar amazed.

"Are you talking about the planet or the man?" Sun joked and Yang laughs.

"Come on, dude! This is serious, though I will admit that Plato was off by a few details." Oscar said.

"Worry about that later, we need to more the full story." Weiss reminded them why they're here.

"Yes, like the star I saw floating in the middle of the city. What does the writing say about that?" Kida asked.

"Don't worry, we're going to find out right now." Sun promised as they look around some more.

Oscar and Sun look around the mural seeing the picture of the star Kida mentioned with some groups of people surrounding it, there is also appeared to be some lines of light coming from the people though the boys look closely seeing that they are perhaps the crystal on the ones on their necks.

"Heart of Atlantis." Sun and Oscar said at the same time.

"You two found something?" Jasmine asked.

"Yeah, the Heart of Atlantis, I remember Oscar mention something like that from the Shepard's Journal." Sun recalled.

"That's right, I thought it was some kind of power source like a battery and Kida thought it was a star, but it's more than that! It's like some kind of powerful crystal with powers." Oscar said then swimming to Velvet.

"And that crystal is connected these little ones you all wear all the time, all what we thought are the same thing!" Oscar revealed.

"This cannot be." Kida shocked.

"But it is and look!" Sun pointed at the golden monkey symbol right at the center of the star.

"The writing says that the Golden Monkey was granted wonderful powers by the crystal itself, and there's more than what the Heart of Atlantis is." Sun believed.

"So then, the theorizes we thought about the crystal keeping us alive for 9,000 years was the Heart of Atlantis's doing!" Velvet realized.

"Exactly, it's what gave you that long lifespan and the other things like with the Fish-cycle." Oscar nodded.

"Hold on, if that crystal is very important to Atlantis, then how come we haven't seen it for the past nine days?" Elm wondered.

"Wait a minute, I also remember Oscar mentioned about the Heart of Atlantis then about the missing page." Jasmine said.

"If something that important was in the journal, then maybe somebody took." Blake guessed.

"But that would only be if someone would have known about the back before us." Jasmine stated.

"Then that would mean… Someone took it." Sun realized as well.

Everyone quickly back up to the surface with Sun and Oscar being first expecting Rajah to see them, but that is not the case when they look up.

"Pleasant swim you boys had?" Jafar grinned while looking down at them with evil in his eyes.
