Golden Determination to Save All of Atlantis

Right after Kida had merge with the Heart of Atlantis crystal, Jafar decided to take the princess with him to the surface to see if this can make him richer than he originally planned and coming back up to the surface where the Crystal Kida is put inside a metal container and loaded in a truck.

Aladdin helps making sure the container is sealed up tight though look down seeing the disapproved faces on Sun and Oscar, the stealth boy couldn't help but feel guilty for betraying their friendship like that, but he just wanted to live an easy life. Yet he feels somewhere in his heart telling him that this is wrong.

"Sergeant, get these people back." One soldier commanded.

"You heard him, get back." The sergeant pushed Sun, Oscar, and Weiss who wanted to see her older sister one last time back from the scene.

"Well, I guess this is it then. All the time we spent together were just nothing to you in the end." Sun disappointed of how all this ends.

Sienna looks back at Sun feeling sadness in her heart and broken that she is now leaving the young man she had actually grown quite fond of.

"It doesn't matter to you guys if you kill a few people or an entire civilization just as long as you get the money in the end." Oscar glared as he crossed his arms.

"Aladdin, I'm sure you won't have to worry about living on the streets anymore and hope Ozpin would still see you as the "good boy" he always believed." Oscar said in a firm tone.

Aladdin didn't look back not wanting to face them and just got in the truck with Mole.

"And Vine, if backstabbing your friends in cold-blooded is what the monks taught you then I'm sure they'll be very proud." Sun said sarcastically as the monk looks away in shame.

"And Maria, living the golden years is gonna be great for you, all because you helped hurt lots of innocent people." Sun to the short old lady who is in the truck with Dusty also feeling a little regret.

"I'm also disappointed at you, Sienna Khan." Jasmine spoke up getting Sienna's attention.

"To think the same woman who helped with freedom rights for Faunus with the White Fang all those years ago would end up like this." Jasmine mentioned of the past much to the tiger woman's shock.

"I know because my father was one of the sponsors who helped your group." Jasmine revealed.

"And that is one of the things people like your father are naïve because putting others first before themselves." Jafar walked up to Sun and Jasmine.

"They never should give away when they could have kept things to themselves." Jafar glared.

"Like you were angry at my grandpa for not going to Atlantis sooner?" Sun asked which surprises Jafar a bit.

"I had a little talk with Qrow after exiting the chamber, you were upset and becoming impatient when Grandpa Milo wasn't responding to your calls for going soon because he was spending more time with his family." Sun mentioned.

"That old geezer could have made himself and his rich if we had just gone here." Jafar angered.

"You should know better that my grandfather never cared about money and fame, he just wants to share history with others and wouldn't work with idiotic greedy people like you." Sun flinched Jafar on the forehead.

"I also seem to remember something a couple years ago, when I was coming home from school and saw a man walking out of the house looking all grumpy. That was you, wasn't it?" Sun asked.

"Yes, I paid your grandfather a visit demanding for the exploration search to begin, but he talked nonsense about a child being a bigger help. I didn't know it was you at the time and decided to put the old man down as a man who couldn't achieve his dream." Jafar glared back at Sun.

"Well, I do remember what my grandpa told me with his final breath… To beware of the greedy red eye snake, he was talking about you and the red eye part from your staff." Sun revealed.

"Knowing that won't change anything. I have won!" Jafar swinged his staff at Sun to knock him down.

But Sun reacted faster grabbing the staff and karate chop breaking it much to Jafar's shock as the staff was made of real gold, Jasmine steps in with a strong kick to the stomach and Sun threw a strong punch to the face sending Jafar flying to a truck.

"Did we forgot to mention we took martial art classes together?" Sun asked sarcastically with a smirk.

"Doesn't matter, I already have what I came for." Jafar swiped the blood from his mouth and got in the truck.

"Let's move out!" Jafar ordered.

Sienna was about to go into the truck with Helga but stopped her foot from stepping inside and her heart screams to do what she truly believes it's right as she walks away though was stopped when Helga grabbed her arm.

"Where do you think your going. We're ordered to move out." Helga reminded.

"Something I haven't done in a long time." Sienna said before punching Helga back inside the truck.

"Doing what is right." Sienna walked away to Sun and others.

Aladdin, Vine, Mole, Maria, and Dusty are shocked to see that Sienna is walking away just like that and felt a little spark in each of their hearts.

"I know no amount of apologies can make up for what I have done…" Sienna rubbed her arm and felt a hand touch her shoulder, looking to see that hand belongs to Blake.

"My father once told me that there is strength in forgiveness." Blake smiled.

"You're still an awesome kitty in my book." Sun petted Sienna's head making her blush.

Soon, Sienna didn't become the only one who changed sides as Aladdin was next to walk away from the rich life.

"Hope you got room for one more." Aladdin said making Sun and the others smile.

Vine and Mole look at each other for a moment before deciding on doing the same thing as they feel this is wrong, Dusty jumped out of the truck waiting for Maria to follow.

"We're all going to die from this, but at least with a clear conscious." Maria smiled.

The elder duo walks to the group and Ruby squeals of joy hugging Maria and lifting her up which would normally annoy her, but this time she didn't mind.

"What is the meaning of this?" Jafar angered.

"Choosing life over money, something I may have gotten when I was put into your group." Vine answered.

"No way we're becoming murders of these people." Aladdin refused to be remembered like that.

"Fools! We're about to become all what we wanted and now you pick the time to listen to your stupid hearts?" Jafar yelled.

"That just goes to show that even one act of kindness can make a whole lot of difference, something Tai once taught me." Qrow mentioned making Yang and Ruby happy.

"You heard them, Jafar! Kiss up your ass because you just lost the Ultimate package." Yang said holding up her middle finger.

"Go fuck yourself!" Ruby cursed, something she rarely ever does.

"If that's how you want then die with these cave people." Jafar decided to keep some of the rest for himself and Helga.

"You were right, Rourke. Help is hard to have when they turn their backs on you in the end." Jafar said to himself, and his group started driving off the old bridge.

Then something started to happen like the water within and outside of Atlantis is drying up along with the glowing within the people's crystals are fading until Sun's body started to glow gold though he groans in pain a little and the small crystals faintly glow gold too.

"The mural we saw, since the Golden Monkey was gifted by the Heart now the city is drawing from you." Weiss realized.

"Yeah, I can feel it." Sun looked at himself, also feeling a bit weaker too.

"But I'm afraid it won't be enough if we don't get the heart now." Oscar feared and try to go after Jafar, but Qrow stops him.

"Wait, Jafar won't let anyone tail him." Qrow warned.

On the other side of the bridge, Jafar decimate the bombs he had order his men to setup onto the bridge and exploded destroying any chance of any fools trying to follow him.

"Sun! Oscar!" Elm ran through the crowd.

"Sweet said you should come up to see the king." Elm informed as Weiss fear what's going to happen soon.

Sweet has done any medical checkup and care he can do, but even if somehow, they were back on the surface the modern-day medic technology won't save a dying man. He looks to Willow giving him a sad look on his face as the second wife of the king knew what the means.

"How's he doing, Sweet?" Oscar asked as he, Sun, and the others came inside the throne room.

"Not good, I'm afraid. Internal bleeding, there's nothing I can do except just a patch on his head. But his life will…" Sweet paused his sentence as he didn't want to say it out loud.

Willow sobs knowing that her husband is going to die, Weiss and Winter comfort their mother as they feel the same pain of losing the man who is their father.

"This is turning into one big nightmare." Sun exclaimed scratching the back of his head.

"And it was us who brought doomsday here." Oscar sighed.

"Now don't go beating yourself up, no one could have known what may happen next despite trying to be prepare for anything." Kali stated.

"She's right. Jafar has been obese with finding that crystal since our trip to Iceland, but I never suspected that he would kill Milo." Sweet said feeling like an idiot for following Jfar.

"Too bad my glow is only probably a fraction of the Heart of Atlantis; the healing energy could have saved him too." Sun said.

"No…" Kashekim groaned grabbing Sun's hand.

"My life has already been at death's doorsteps." Kashekim said.

"Father, something happened to Kida. I'm not sure how to describe it, but…" Winter tried to come up with the best way to tell her father.

"Kida has been chosen, like her mother before her." Kashekim figured out.

"Chosen, by the crystal itself?" Oscar asked.

"In times of danger, the crystal will choose a host, one of royal blood to protect itself and its people. It will accept no other." Kashekim explained.

"Royal blood, you from Kida's mother side of the family." Weiss realized and Kashekim nods.

"So, what the journal said about the crystal being alive is true." Oscar shocked.

"In a way, yes. The crystal thrives on the collective emotions of all who came before us. In return, it provides power, longevity, protection. As it grew, it developed a consciousness of its own." Kashekim mentioned and look to Sun.

"The Golden Monkey before you had proven to be the most pure-hearted and strong man in the world, loving not just the people and own oath to protect, but also the crystal itself treating it like a person and never ask for anything in return." Kashekim remembered that young man in his younger days.

"So, the crystal granted the Golden Monkey it's portion of the power as a reward for his kindness and thus creating the Guardian of Atlantis." Jasmine figured out the rest.

"It was as if he knew the crystal was alive from the beginning, I remember those words." Kali recalled.

"He was a very dear friend to me, a brother of oath, but as I saw the power the crystal has… I allowed my arrogance and pride as king to cloud by better judgement in using the crystal as a weapon of war." Kashekim coughed softly.

"I think I get what happens next, the Golden Monkey before felt it was dangerous and tried to talk you out of using the crystal like that." Sun guessed strongly.

"Many times, many times he kept on warning me, but I ignored him and even threatened to brand him a traitor if he continues defying me which was one of my two biggest regrets." Kashekim sobbed. Memories of the arguments between them and how the previous Golden Monkey left Atlantis.

"He couldn't stand of the kind of man I was becoming and left Atlantis, leaving our home because of what I have done, because I didn't listen to him of the crystal's power being too great to control." Kashekim said as a single tear came down on his cheek.

"So, that's why you hid the crystal beneath the city so that kind of mistake could never be repeated." Oscar realized.

"And why no could read our language because you hid that knowledge of finding it." Weiss added.

"Did you know the king hid the crystal?" Blake asked her mother.

"It was after we found ourselves underground while you were still in my arms, Willow and I found out Kashekim hid the crystal somewhere though it could never find out where until now." Kali explained.

"Though it should have been obvious of the crystal still being within the city, but I also know another reason why you hid the crystal." Willow strokes her husband's head.

"It was to prevent Kida from suffering the same fate as my beloved wife." Kashekim said sadden.

"I'm getting a bad feeling of what your about to say next." Sun worried.

"As you should, if Kida remains bonded to the crystal, she could be lost to it forever." Kashekim revealed shocking Weiss and Winter that they're gonna lose their older sister.

"Kida is the only thing I have left from her mother as I done my best to raise her right while caring for my second wife and my two younger daughters." Kashekim reached his hand to Weiss's cheek as cries a little.

"My burden would have become hers when the time was right… but now it falls to you, Golden Monkey, Sun Wukong." Kashekim removed his crystal necklace and handed it to Sun.

"My mistake was pushing away the Guardian, now I ask you do what you are meant to be to save Atlantis and my daughter." Kashekim pleaded.

"…I promise, I will bring back the crystal and Kida, and I won't give up until I do." Sun promised with a strong determination in his eyes.

Kashekim saw this reminding him once again of the previous Golden Monkey with the same kind of eyes, he put up one last smile before his eyes close and his hands fell showing that the king of Atlantis has died.

Weiss cried more from the lost of her father as she, Willow, and Winter hug together as the same does with Blake and Kali. Sun's lovers hug together as Ruby and Neon comfort Oscar too.

Sweet put away is medical stuff into his bag and let out a sigh before looking at Oscar.

"So, what's it going to be?" Sweet asked confusing the Pine boy.

"I followed you two in, and I'll follow you out. Sun made his decision; I'm just waiting for yours." Sweet said.

"Well, I'm not so sure if my decisions are the best thing right because I helped a bunch of nutcase treasure hunters to the greatest discovery in history itself and they'll probably sell it to some rich snobs who would use it as a foot massager!" Oscar yelled as he threw the Shepard's Journal down.

"Is there anything else?" Oscar asked yelling and Sun placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Oscar, I get it. You blamed yourself for what happened, I do to and when you hit bottom, the only place you can go is up." Sun pointed his finger up.

"Who told you that?" Oscar asked sighing.

"My grandpa Milo, and I'm sure your grandpa Ozpin told you the same thing." Sun smiled in confident.

Oscar looks up at Sun remembering that Ozpin did mention something about that saying and remember to always have a strong heart, so now he has made up his mind and knows what he has to do.

Oscar raise his hand to Sun and he responded by grabbing his hand as the boys are set now.
