Author's Note: Bonjour my friendos and dendos..

I... don't know what a dendo is either. Anyway hello! I am back and I am here to write another chapter of Monitale! I know I promised Monthly updates last time, but you know me...
There is a reason I never make promises. Ahehe...

But that's not important right now! What is important is that I intend to do better from now on. I'm starting a new 300 words a day thing to get my life more on track, so expect me to take at least a few days of doing that to write for this. My current goal is actually more like "Write 30 minutes every day, no distractions" but 300 words is a good way to ensure I'm hitting a mildly reasonable number of words, especially for this as the reason these take so long is because I'm combing through a playthrough of the game and copying down dialogue almost word for word in order to best represent the characters. It's hard.
Which is why I would like to thank all of you for being so kind as to follow the development of this story for more than
three years now! It's fascinating to me that we've reached such a milestone. My only regret is that we've failed to get more than twenty chapters in that time...

Which is what this 300 words thing should theoretically rectify.

And so, without further ado
Disclaimer: I don't own Doki Doki Literature Club or Undertale, however I do own the plot of this story and Our Player.

Monika took a few steps forward after observing the soft glow of the Crystals, she knew better than to think that their shine meant anything... but she smiled nonetheless. The very thought that she and her beloved Player would one day be able to be together, truly, him not trapped like a Ghost and her not stuck behind a screen.. It filled her with a feeling that wasn't quite the same as Passion. It was love, and hope. A hope for the future.

"Moni.. you're staring at me?" Player said, having glanced up from his menu box and found her looking at him, staring with that same loving expression she had shown off when they were in The Room together.
"Oh." She realized with a start, before giggling at herself. "I was just.. thinking about the future. What would happen when we.. got out of here." Monika said, a warm smile crossing her features as her thoughts turned to that. Was there a world out there, waiting to be explored? Would she find peace and joy out there? A fulfilling career? A family? She thought so, and it warmed her cheeks to think of it. To imagine the happiness that awaited her...

That. That filled her with Passion.

"Funny you should say that, Monika." Player smiles. "I was thinking about that future too. I'm not sure what will happen myself, when we leave." He admitted, concerned that the theory that crossing the barrier kills them may be true. "But I think whatever we face... it'll be a bright future. I know it will be." He smiles at her softly. "Now let's get moving. There's a lot of ground to cover before we can think about the Surface too much after all."

Monika nodded, her thoughts still turned to that wonderful future, her smile widening one more time as she imagined church bells...
And fading as she refocused on the here, the now.

She took a breath in and nodded again, this time to herself. "You're right, Player. Let's keep moving." She takes a few more steps forward, and almost as if on cue, she is attacked by..

"Woshua shuffles up!" Player announces as...

Some kind of turtle comes up? No, it was more like fusion between a washing machine and a turtle, with a small bird on his back. He looked silly and prompted a small giggle from Monika. "Aw, aren't you a cute little guy?" She asks him, causing the little thing to partially blush.
Which of course prompted even more aw's to come from her. Anyway, she decided to stay on track. "Options, darling?" She asked, looking at Player.

He nodded and clicked. "Check, Clean, Touch and Joke." He told her, closing the text box.

Monika cocks her head to the side. "What does it mean by clean?" She asks.

"He'll clean you, I think that's fair enough to tell." Player says, deciding that it wasn't necessarily meta-knowledge but a rather obvious question.

"Alright!" She smiles and goes over to the washing machine turtle. "Hey Woshua.. can you clean me off?" She asks, holding her hand out. She already was pretty clean but eh, she did touch dirt earlier.

Almost happily, Woshua jumps around, spraying magical water everywhere while saying. "Green means clean!"

Jumping back, Monika took a few "splashes" of "water" that did damage to her, it was like being struck by hard ice blocks, and then, as she attempted to dodge, she ran into one of the green blocks, and felt.. more healed? Cleaner too, as the dirt from earlier seemed to wash away even without the green "water" hitting her hands. She then stepped back.
"Okay next I'm guessing is touch!" She smiles, even if she did get hurt a second ago it wasn't much damage compared to being nearly impaled on bones, whacked with bones, attacked with actual swords, meat cleavers and axes, as well as being burned quite badly, so she could easily forgive the little guy.

She reached out and patted his head. Woshua jumps around happily and summons a magical sponge that attempts to whack her in the head, which Monika narrowly dodges. "I don't think that would make me any cleaner." She remarks and moves towards the little guy after dodging the brush, going for a-
"Touch!" She touches his head, giving him a little rub.

Woshua jumps up and down happy to have been touched by a clean hand. In his excitement, he splashes more water around, the magic stuff striking Monika due to her closeness and bruising her quite a bit, sending her back and making her stumble over, a slightly pained expression on her face. One of the magic water splotches had even hit her Soul, making it flash a bit as the water hit.
"Oww." She remarked, cupping her Soul in her hands, it had been so rarely hurt, and it always shocked her when it was.

Woshua now glowed a soft yellow color and Monika stood up and sighed. "Spare." She smiles and the small turtle smiles back and waddles away, happily splashing around water as he goes. He also gave her 25 Gold!

"You win, you earned 0 EXP and 25 Gold." Player remarked as he watched her wave the small washing machine turtle off.

Monika stopped waving and sighed, stretching a little. "These fights are always so creative." She remarks as they enter the next room.

"Not as creative as the puzzles." Player smirked, knowing this room had a rather curious one for her to solve.

The President walked passed the telescope at first, just trying to progress, but as she reached the crossroads she expected to lead to the next cavern... she discovered a wall. "Huh." She says, cocking her head at the wall. She moves towards it and puts her hands on it, feeling it up, looking for some kind of hidden switch or-

"WAH-!" She goes tumbling forward as the wall reveals itself to be a fake, and a rather... easy to knock over fake at that. Not good for hiding at all given how... easy it was to knock over. She picks herself up as Player floats over to her.

"You alright?" He asks.

"..I.. I'd like to have my Unicycle now." She said, sitting up, considering what her hypothetical Health Bar might have been. She decided if her total health was, say. twenty, then she would be at about ten now. Not good but not bad either.

She ate the Unicycle, as well as one half of the other Bicycle and stood up, feeling better. She looked around the room and sighed, there were signs on the wall that she could just about make out. "What is this place?" She asked Player.

"I believe this was one way that the Monsters used to record their history before more advanced methods were made up." He said. "Go ahead and read the signs, you'll see." He smiles at her, which causes her to smile back.

"I guess we could stop to learn some history." She said, stepping over to a plaque and starting to read. "The War of Humans and Monsters..." She frowned a bit. "There was a war? I should.. ask someone about that one of these times. It might be important given my... humanity." She says before moving to the next plaque. "Or maybe this will shed some light on it.." She continued to read. "Why did the humans attack? Indeed it seemed they had nothing to fear.. humans are unbelievably strong, it would take the SOUL of nearly every Monster just to equal the power of one human SOUL.." Monika blinked and her own SOUL came out for her to cup in her hands. "Wow.. really? I'm that strong?" She asks, staring into the soft pink color. "I've actually been feeling kind of... underleveled. I know that without my Jacket I would be a lot more injured than I am.." She says softly. "So to know just how powerful my SOUL is... is shocking."

Player nods. "You are weaker than the Monsters are in terms of actual power, however your SOUL Trait.. it makes you more than able to stand with them if needed." He explains.

She nods in reply. "I suppose that makes sense." She then walks over to the next plaque. "But humans have one weakness.." She smirks a little, maybe knowing it could help her combat it. "Ironically, it is the strength of their SOUL. It's power allows it to persist outside of the human body, even after death... hm, I don't see how that's a weakness.." She moves to the next one. "If a Monster defeats a human, they can take it's SOUL... a Monster with a human SOUL... a horrible beast with unfathomable power.." She's invested now, and moves to the next plaque out of a kind of curiosity that can only be described as human.

The final plaque simply has an illustration of some kind of creature that was.. deeply unsettling to her. Almost like a..
"Horrible beast with unfathomable power.." She realizes, suddenly comprehending that which she was seeing was a Monster given a Human SOUL.

Player nods. "So.. that's what that looks like..." He says, grimacing at the sight. "Fan artists weren't very far off I guess." He shudders.

"I would like to progress now.." Monika says, allowing her SOUL back into her chest and proceeding to a small platform, which appears to carry her over a lake of some kind.

As she traveled across, she let the soft music rush over her. It was... calming, yet deep in a way. Ominous perhaps? Yes, that sounded right. This was something Yuri would have liked, she was sure of it.. Wind chimes in her ears, shortly accompanied by what she felt were.. trumpets? It was... nice. She stopped at the other dock and let the music continue for a bit, just enjoying the soft sound as it crescendoed up higher and reached a climax... before finally calming back down. She smiled softly, recalling the music of her world. Then recalling the friend that she had associated with it... it caused her a soft pang of... perhaps.. guilt? "Player.."

"Hm?" He looked up at her.

"The music here.. It's nice." She offered a small smile, looking up at the ceiling, the "stars" above.

He smiled. "I'm glad you like it, Moni." He smiled. "Waterfall is one of my favorite tracks in the game. Not the best but... still very nice."

Monika smiled back, a bit wider now. "I can't speak to the others yet, but this is certainly in the top few." She assured him, now finally making a move and going to the next room...

Which was an empty hallway. "I have.. a bad feeling about this one.." She muttered as she stepped forward, her face darkened as the light seemed to only be coming from behind her.
And the music stopped. Wonderful.

She walked forward a bit, and stopped.

And walked forward a bit more, and stopped...

And then she decided the game was messing with her and moved forward freely, absolutely certain that-
Fshew-rmmph!

Something long, blue, and spearlike suddenly crashed down in front of her, crushing some of the dock in the process... it had come from above her, and looking up Monika saw that this was not the only one coming down, and that she was not alone!

The armored knight above her, Undyne, was on the attack!

Eyes wide in fear and concern for herself, Monika took off running, narrowly avoiding the spears that flew behind her. She did pretty well at first, avoiding them thanks to what was seemingly a head start on the knight... and then she had to start moving in a zig-zag manner.. Oh no.

She avoided one attack on the up zig, but the downward zag trio caught her, doing damage to her body and embedding themselves, however they vanished just as soon as they were there, it looked like the spears hurt like she was being stabbed, but failed to leave any true debilitating effects on her body. Good to know.

Still hurt.

"Ow!" She falls over as they pierce her form, but quickly stands up once she realizes her leg is still mobile, allowing her to avoid another trio.

She continues to run, and Player encourages her. "Keep running, you can do it!" He seems to be genuinely concerned for her here, which probably isn't a good sign for her.
A series of spears slice through her form again. Definitely not a good sign. Still though, Monika keeps running, narrowly avoiding the spears from above and behind her as best as she can, while still ending up taking a few here or there.

Her entire body hurt as though someone had really gone through and impaled her several times over, and it felt as though she could collapse at any instant when she finally hit a patch of grass and staggered in-

"Yo!"

And into a familiar face, Monster Kid was here! Perfect, she might be able to use him to get Undyne off her back... She'd better work fast however, she can hear the heavy boots of her armor fast approaching. "H-hey kid, you want to help me out a little?" She smiled at the child weakly, fighting through the pain as well as she could. "You'll get to meet Undyne!" She added, hoping that would be convincing enough.

He gasped. "Really?! Sure I'll do anything!" He grinned.

"Okay, switch places with me." She said, sliding passed him and quickly hiding herself amidst the tall grass by sitting down and pressing her back against the wall, holding her breath and staying quiet.

After a minute, she heard the clanking again. She heard a sudden squeal of joy and assumed Monster Kid had been found by Undyne. After another minute or two, she felt rustling in the grass in front of her and saw Monster Kid's yellow body, Undyne nowhere in sight. "Yo! Thanks dude, I got to be touched by Undyne! Thanks to you!" The kid pressed himself against her in some kind of a hug, she supposed.

This made her smile, at least a little. "Yeah.. no problem." She omitted that if he hadn't been there, she probably would have been dead or worse now, and let the kid have his happy memory. "I'm gonna wait in here for a minute, you go on, okay?" She told him, leaning her head up against the wall.

"Got is lady!" The kiddo took off, leaving Monika alone to rest and try to collect herself.

After a minute, Player offered her her Unicycle. "May I offer you a Unicycle in this trying time?" He asked, before chuckling at himself. "But seriously, Moni, eat this. Undyne... might be a bigger problem than we thought."

"Yeah.. I might need to find a way around her instead of through her.." Monika admitted, taking a bite out of the food and feeling her body start to feel less pained. Player then began to feed her some other items, but neglected the pie still. "Thanks.. I should be alright now." She said, standing up and stretching before exiting. "Let's keep moving." She headed on to the next area.

The next room was a small one, not much in it other than a mouse hole, a table with some cheese... sealed in a crystal.. and an Echo Flower. First she listened to the Flower, and heard a soft mouse squeak. "Aw, cute." She said softly, looking onto the mouse hole and then at the cheese.
Believing that one day, the Mouse will find a way to get the cheese from the crystal.. It filled her with Passion.

Although, she couldn't just leave the poor dear without trying. She took out her boxing glove and struck the crystal, trying to break it. To her surprise.. she did!
She smiled softly and set the cheese down.

"Here you go, little one." She said softly, sliding the plate before the hole. "I'll throw you one piece for free." She adds, standing back to full height and exiting the room.

Player stuck around for a minute longer to see if the cheese was eaten, but was pulled back to Monika due to whatever force rubber-banded him to her, so he couldn't see the outcome, unfortunately.

"Oh hey, Sans." Player said, noticing him first as they entered the next room.

"Hmm." Monika winked at her Player before strolling over to Sans. "Oh hey, Sans. What brings you so far from Snowdin?" She asked, not bothering to question how and why he was ahead of her.

"i was thinkin about getting into the telescope business." He explains. "just so happens that snowdin doesn't have anyone who wants to sight-see since they're all snowed-in." He jokes a bit, causing both Monika and Player to burst into laughter at the terrible pun, Sans let them before continuing on. "anyhow, since i'm getting into the business, howzabout you be the first customer? usually its about 50000g but since i know ya, i'll let you see in for free."

"Hmm.. sure!" She smiles.

Player suppresses his own laughter as Monika puts her eye on the telescope. "Uh, Sans.. I can't see anything out of this." She informs him.

"weird, you're supposed ta be able to see something that rocks." He said nonchalantly as she pulled her face back.

"Was this all setup for another pun?" She asked, pulling her face off of the telescope.

Causing both of the boys to begin to chuckle

"...what?" She asks, making them laugh harder. "What?!" She asks again, concerned and confused.

"Your face." Player points at his eye and immediately Monika gets it.

"heheheh.. nothin kid, don't worry about it."

Monika rubs her eye and removes the ink. "Oh ha, ha. Very funny.." She can't help a small smile on her lips. "I'm going to prank you back one of these times." She warns.

"i can't wait ta see that." Sans chuckles a bit. "anyway, sicnce i pranked ya, i'll give ya a free refund." he winks, which makes Player chuckle and Monika smile.

"I'll take my nothing to go then." She says, waving and taking off.

Monika then entered the next room and encountered the Nice Cream Man, who had shifted spaces but still hadn't had any luck with customers. "Have you tried... going somewhere more populated? Or warmer?" She asked him, trying to be helpful.

"Warmer...? That might work actually! Hey, I think I'll take that advice, take a few Nice creams on the house for being so helpful!" He said, handing her about two nice creams.

"Thanks and no problem, let me know how this all works out for you!" She says, waving and leaving the room, now looking for the way to progress. She would have stayed there to read the ancient glyphs.. had the nice cream man not drawn over them with various flavors of nice cream.

Outside, she encounters and Onionlike monster that asks what a star is. Monika could answer with science or fact, but she knows better than to think that's what it means. It's never seen a star in it's life, the closest thing it has are the crystals high above, and she finds that... tragic, in a way. She simply smiles at it and moves on, wishing inside that it may one day leave and see the stars.

She walks onto a bridge overlooking some blue, like weirdly blue, colored water and goes deeper into the caves, allowing herself to get lost in the music as she walks. "It's so.. peaceful here." She sighs again, before smiling at herself. "I guess I'm repeating myself, aren't I, Player?" She asks, turning to look at him. Her beloved had buried himself in his work again, but heard her, responding with a nod as he kept focused. She couldn't help a wider smile at that. He was truly laboring away at something.. and it made her smile a bit more to imagine that something was for her.

She continued to walk along, keeping an eye out for incoming monsters while also listening to the music. "This place... It has an aura to it I can't quite describe. Melancholy.. regret? Hope.." Her thoughts drifted towards the darker end of how she felt, finally realizing why she liked the music so much. It had a feeling to her that was almost.. familiar. A feeling of hope for tomorrow, yet of deep regrets far behind. A feeling she knew well. She hid it, yes, she didn't like to think about it and yet.. it was true.
She knew the feeling here far too well.

"So? Don't you have any wishes to make?" A voice asked, causing her to look left. An echo flower. She looked for another one and found it, following the conversation.

"Hmm.. just one but... it's kind of stupid." The next voice answered.

Monika walked forward, looking for the next one of these. She carefully stepped over a pair of odd barnacle things as she went, thankful to have a new distraction in the form of whatever story these flowers were telling. She strolled by an odd patch of grass entirely and moved up, eventually reaching another blue flower. "Don't say that!" It starts. "I promise I won't laugh."

She continues to follow the flowers, stopping to read another sign. "Ahem, The Power to take their SOULS, this is the Power the Humans feared." Monika reads. "Hmm.. yeah that tracks with earlier. I'd be pretty scared too if that was a possibility for me." She admitted and then moved on into...
The music stopped.

"Uhh... Player..?" She whispered. "The music cut out.."

"Oh.." Player held back a smirk. "Don't worry, I'm sure it'll come back on." He says, going back to work. "Just walk forward.."

Monika felt something was up, but sighed and moved forward.

The Club President stopped when she heard water splash and saw something long and yellow in color appear to her left. Something primal inside of her knew to be afraid of that, and so she quickly picked up the pace. Another tentacle sprang up and started chasing her. "Player.." She manages out. "What's going on..?"

"Well dear I've seen enough H-"

"No! That's not funny! Especially after earl-"

She hears water splash again and turns her head to face... oh
It's a cute anime faced tentacle monster. She sighed and Player finally smirked. "That's just Onionsan, don't worry, they're harmless." He explains

She sighs and smiles. "Alright you got me.."

"Got... you? Oh no..! Did I scare you... I'm... sorry... I'm just so lonely without all my friends.." Onionsan says, trying to be nice and friendly but also obviously feeling bad for spooking her

"Oh, nononono! It's fine, I was just being paranoid is all." Monika waves her hands a bit. "Don't worry. It's nice to meet you Onins..an.." She realized a bit too late that she forgot to let her introduce herself first.

"You... know who I am?" They asked, sounding surprised. "Did someone I know.. tell you?" She asked.

"Er.. No, I simply heard about you from people outside, you're really cool." Monika wasn't great at lying but she picked up a few skills over the last week. "Sorry that your friends can't be here right now.. I know how hard that can be." She says.

"Yeah... but at least I got to talk to someone new today... thanks a lot..." Onionsan smiles brightly. "Bye.. now..." She sinks beneath the waves, but leaves a tentacle up to follow Monika around as she walks right and out of the room.

Monika walks into the next room and spots a girl, hiding in the corner. "Hey there, are you okay?"

Shyren shudders and turns barely. "n..no.." She says softly, before everything darkened and Monika's SOUL found itself outside of her body.

"Oh no." She mutters, before being pulled into combat. "Player?" She asks.

"Check, Hum, Smile, or Conduct."

"Oh okay uh.. Hum?" She then clears her throat and hums a familiar tune. "Hmhmhm-hmhmhmhmh-hm-hm-hm-hm-hm!" She hums the tune that she recognizes as being the start to the song she was to write for her Player, this makes her smile and distracts her, as Shyren hums back, the magical music notes being in the same key as her own tune, and striking at her, in particular her Soul.
"Oww.." Monika mutters, holding it, but Shyren appears to glow yellow. "That was.. easy... Spare!" She smiles.

Shyren is spared and thus takes her leave, humming the tune as she goes.

"That was.. really easy?" Monika says, holding her hand out. Player gives her a nice cream. "Right? Do you think I.. missed something, there?" She asked, slowly digging into her ice cream cone.

"Who knows?" Player shrugged. "Undertale had so many secrets to it, that finding them all is almost impossible. Almost." He smirked.

She chuckled. "I suppose so." She said, moving towards the next room, but not before finishing her Nice Cream..

"Is that.. what I think it is?" Monika asked, entering the next room and finding a piano. Her face lit up, pure joy on it as she walked towards it and sat down on the ground, not even minding the cold stone as she rubbed the keys of the piano with her fingertips. "This is..." She dinged a key and the piano dinged back.
"I shouldn't..." She muttered to herself... "I'm going to!" She gave in to her inner want, her inner need, almost, to play the instrument. She resisted the urge to play him her song, mostly since it was unfinished still, but instead began to play something else..

Player hears it and his heart halfway stops. "That's.. Okay Everyone.." He whispers, his face beginning to tear up. The memories flooding back to him. Their friends, the club.

Before everything started.

"I could hear it from time to time." Monika whispers. "I can only do the piano part.. but at least it's something, right?" She asks, looking to him with that same kind, cheery look he loved her for.

"Yeah it is." He floated near to her and hugged her, his arms wrapping around her in something of a side hug, despite neither of them being able to feel it. "It brings back memories. Good ones, in most cases."

Monika held confliction on her face for a moment, before smiling. "I guess you're right, they were good, when we were all together.."

The music continued to fill the air for a good short time, Monsters coming by to see who was playing, Shyren returning to look. Sans standing there with a grin on his face, selling tickets for all those who wished to hear the song of a girl pouring her heart out, without lyrics.

And even he had to admit, it was a good song.

Author's Note: Alright that should be long enough for a while. Sorry about the wait, I'll try to do better but even with my 300 word initiative I'm having a bit of a bad time. It doesn't help that I don't feel like we're really moving through these chapters at a good pace. God, Undertale is a longer game than I remember it being.

Oh well, it means we get to spend infinitely more time with these characters, right?

I hope you guys are having fun, even if I'm not really updating all too often. I do this for you guys as much as I do it for myself.

Speaking of you lot, I have to react to reviews, right?

Ahem

UndertaleAftonUniversePines: I am blown away with the writing abilities of people.

I love how you are making the characters true to their original designs, but your also making them your own. I really like it! Keep it up!

Me: You have no idea how much it means to me to hear that from someone, I try really hard to get Monika right every chapter. She's a very important character to me and anything less than brilliant for her is too little.

And I will keep going, even if it does take a while to get done, we will get there.

AliceCullen3: LOVE IT!

Me: You have typed those two words every chapter for three years.
I love you, random citizen!

Undertaleafton: I really like this! It's amazing! Is it possible for me to join the Monika Guard?

Undertaleafton: Oml- I ha finished all 14 other chapters, and then this appeared. Fucking Y e s

Me: Firstly, yes it is possible, simply swear all devotion to protecting Monika nyeh heh ngaah! And boom, you're a member.

Secondly, nice. Sorry to say I can't time this upload the same way.

ZombieSlayers: After 10000 years in hibernation the author has arisen to deliver unto us another chapter.

Me This time was only 500 years, so let us take that as a small victory!

Charkid177: Good good good good good!

Me: Thank thank thank thank thank!

Mrtyu666: Honestly, chara and frisk ar the same person

I think Monika and Flowey are very similar. They both got powers, and then eventually used them maliciously

Me: I disagree on the top, Chara and Frisk are two distinct characters, Chara being a rather angry boi/grill who wants all humanity wiped out, and Frisk being.. well in my mind they're a kind and flirtatious soul who can be kind of morbidly curious at times.

Someone369: Good, you're still alive. Anyways this story has really interested me so I hope that you'll keep updating this. I'm also curious about what's going to happen to Frisk in the DDLC Universe despite me not playing DDLC yet.

(Now that I'm thinking about it, every game that I have on my PC was downloaded by me after watching other people play it or reading about it... Damn, that explains why I know a lot)

Me: Thanks my guy/girl/unspecified gender, I'm glad you like it so far! The story isn't even halfway done yet though, so get ready for some twists, some turns and some character development. And I'm glad you're curious about Frisk.. because that is a very interesting plotline, I'd say. My one request is that you get through DDLC before sitting down to read too much more of those chapters, since they will eventually get into spoiler territory.

(You're a step above me. I don't even download most times, I just watch)

SpiritLink112: (in response to my previous comment about Yuri)

There are several interpretations due to the game not exactly saying, same with lots of other stuff. But I believe Yuri has anxiety, especially social. She's always second guessing herself and is very antisocial. Some also theorize about high functioning autism spectrum, but that's a different subject.

To her, it's like all her feelings are bottle up, and she can't get them out except in a few ways. Reading, writing, and really anything English class is a release, but the most effective are the cuts. Psychologically, it feels like she's physically letting her emotions out with the pain and the blood. Another reason some people think this is the warning message before the game being for both depression and anxiety.

I know she gets pleasure out of it, I always thought of it like an addiction, especially in act 2 where it's almost like she physically can't not do it.

Someone mentioned in another comment a 'draw a line in pen' solution, I had never heard that before then, but I thought it was a clever solution.

(Sorry to the people reading through the comments for this wall of text.)

Me: I admit, I kind of, uh, maybe didn't think through the Yuri portion of this all the way. It was my headcanon at the time that she was a masochist, due to her face when she, uh, commits seppuku, although I am now realizing that may not be absolutely correct. I still think she is a masochist, however the social anxiety and possible autistic spectrum parts of her character were almost entirely overlooked by me here, completely younger-me's fault there. I accidentally made her issues a bit less complex than they actually are. Unfortunately there isn't much I can do about that at this point, but I'll keep it in mind as I go forward, after all this won't be the last time we get to see Yuri or her problems come up...

(And I'm sure people won't mind, I put the longer responses down at the bottom specifically for the reason of not making people read through walls upon walls)

Welp, that's everything so

Until Next Time, True Readers!
