Disclaimer: Here we go with chapter two of Walton View! By now, I'm sure you'll have noticed that most of the first chapter was dedicated to Scamp and Oliver's friendship. That's because I wanted every bond in Walton View, especially the main cast, to have an organic start and progression to it. So the other five characters who got prologue shorts will join the friend group in due time. It just won't be as immediate as the season premiere. So anyway, without further ado, let us commence!
Also, I don't own any Disney characters.
Walton View
Season One Episode Two: New Kids In Town Part Two
Back at Scamp's new home, Scamp was eating dinner with the rest of the family, but he wasn't eating as fast as he did the other day. This was a surprise to Tramp when he noticed, since he knew how big of an eater Scamp was. It wasn't that Scamp hadn't eaten ANY of his steak. His mind just seemed to be clouded. Tramp's better judgement told him to check up on this. "Are you okay, whirlwind? You barely touched your food."
Scamp figured this was worth talking about, especially since he didn't want to make his family worry. "It's delicious, mom. There's nothing wrong with it." Lady smiled, showing that she knew that wasn't the case. Scamp then started talking about his time at school. "I'm just worried about Oliver. He has to live with the school bully. I doubt Colonel and Tibbs will just let Mooch walk all over him, but it's still gotta be hard for him."
Tramp was about to say something, but Scamp had more to say himself. "Something weird happened because of that. Right before mom came to pick us up, Mooch started messing with him. I felt something that I'd never felt before." Tramp and Lady started to understand what Scamp was thinking about. "It's kind of hard to explain, but what happened was, I told Mooch to leave Oliver alone. I wasn't even scared when he got in my face." Scamp looked at Tramp, hoping he knew something about what he felt. "Is it normal to feel that way?"
"In some ways, yes." Tramp replied, knowing that some were protective of their loved ones. And he knew it came instinctively as a parent. "Hell, it comes naturally when you become a parent."
"Really?" Scamp asked, laughing a bit as he looked back on one day in particular. "That explains why you freaked out when that one guy tried to bribe me with candy."
Tramp rubbed his son's head affectionately, showing that he was always happy to be looking out for him. "The fact that you stood up for Oliver shows that you care a lot about him, Scamp. That means he's a real one."
Lady had some advice herself, knowing that Scamp would need to know not to go too far with being protective. "There are some cases where being protective can be a bad thing. I think we've all had at least a few." Scamp listened to what his mother had to say, and what she finished with helped finish motivating him to finish his dinner. "We'll be here to help you figure out how to balance it out."
Scamp appreciated that, looking at his food while thanking his parents for the help. "Thanks, you guys." And just then, Scamp started chowing down on his food again, shoving three pieces of steak into his mouth and eating it messily.
Collette was understandably annoyed by this and groaned when putting her napkin up. "Next time, wait until we're FINISHED eating."
"Come on, Scamp. One at a time." Scamp continued to eat, doing so at a normal pace now, and being excited for his first official day of having classes at his new school.
Later that night, Oliver was writing about the day he had in his room, thinking to himself as he wrote down the words. 'Scamp was so brave. He didn't even flinch when Mooch turned to him! I don't know if I'd be able to do that.' Just then, Tibbs knocked on Oliver's door, and he was happy to let him in. "It's open!"
Tibbs opened the door and saw Oliver writing, glad to see a smile dawned on his face. "You enjoying your journal, Oliver?"
"Yeah, it's great. Thanks for getting it for me." Oliver answered, and Tibbs walked up to his bed as he started talking about how great his day was. "I think I'm really gonna like it here, dad. The school looks really cool so far. And I'm especially excited for the writing club!"
Tibbs was more than happy to see that Oliver was enjoying his time in Walton View so far. The addition of being called dad was especially heartwarming for him to hear. "I just knew you'd love it here, Oliver."
Oliver saved his place in his journal as he then started talking about Scamp. "I love our new neighbors too. Especially Scamp. I spent the whole day with him at school and I wouldn't trade a second of it."
"That's great!" Tibbs exclaimed, and then he noticed Oliver's schedule sitting on his nightstand. He wanted to make sure he was prepared for tomorrow. "Just remember that tomorrow, you'll have to start spending some of your classes without Scamp."
"I know. I'll be ready." Oliver assured Tibbs, but then he expressed a side of him that was concerned. "At least I think I will. What if I start failing because I don't know what I'm doing?"
"Hey hey, don't think like that. We're here to help." Tibbs assured Oliver, reminding him of one more thing to bare in mind. "You have your other father for English class, and I'm right here to make sure Algebra doesn't tear you apart."
Oliver was grateful for that, glad to have been adopted by such a supportive family. "Thanks, dad. I'll keep that in mind." Oliver and Tibbs hugged before the latter left, and Oliver decided to spend his last few minutes before bedtime finishing his journal entry. "I'll let you know when I'm going to bed."
"I'll be ready!" Tibbs assured Oliver, closing the door behind him with his tail as Oliver got back to writing. His smile showed that he was still getting a positive impression of this place.
Scamp was riding to school with his sisters as Lady started reminding them of something that would be occurring soon. "Now remember, kids. Your father and I have to start our jobs soon, so you'll start riding the bus a week from now."
"That sounds much better than Scamp and Tramp hot boxing the car." Collette said with relief, and that led to Scamp calling her out.
"Oh, like you've never let it slip before."
"I can vouch for myself!"
The van stopped in the same spot as before, allowing Scamp and his family to get out as Tramp wished them good luck. "Good luck in your classes, everyone. And remember. Your mom and I love you more than everything."
"We love you guys too." Scamp told his parents, being more excited about his classes than he was before. "Oh yeah; I have four classes with Oliver. How great is that!?"
"About as great as it was the previous three times you informed us." Annette told Scamp with a smirk, making him chuckle a bit at his poor memory skills.
After Lady and Tramp left, Oliver ran up to Scamp and started walking with him. "Scamp!"
"Oliver!" Scamp and Oliver walked ahead of Scamp's sisters, who he informed them of what he'd be doing. "I'm gonna head on in with Oliver. See you girls later."
"Bye, Scamp!" Danielle responded, and Scamp and Oliver headed into the school together. This time without any foul smelling mishaps.
Scamp and Oliver went into the school together as they noticed the number of their class name. Scamp wasn't quite sure why there were numbers in the triple digits this time. "It says here that Colonel's class is in 'room 206'. How did they fit two hundred classes in this place!?"
"Well this place has two floors, but not two hundred rooms. I think the two is to tell us what floor we're on." Oliver deducted, and then he looked at the bottom of his sheet. This showed the number of his locker, which he was also excited to see. "Looks like our lockers are on that floor too. Since it's on the way, we could check them out."
"Sounds like a plan to me." Scamp replied, excited to see what he could put inside of his new locker.
Scamp and Oliver were arriving at their lockers, and when they saw the side, they were quite impressed. The lockers were even taller than they were, and Scamp was already envisioning what he would put in here. "I'm definitely putting bags of candy in here!" Scamp then looked at his locker number, as his combination was right next to it. He started putting it in, glad it was a button lock and not a dial lock. "You have no idea how annoying it would've been if this were a dial lock."
"I've heard how annoying those things can be." Oliver admitted, mentioning who he heard it from the other day. "I heard it from Mooch when he was giving me a 'pep talk' Colonel encouraged him to give me. Something about wanting him to be a good sibling."
Scamp opened up his locker as he told Oliver what he thought about that. "By 'good sibling', I hope they mean better than Collette's superiority complex." Oliver laughed a bit, having already heard a bit about Collette from Scamp. After looking at his locker for a bit, he confirmed that he would in fact be able to fit candy in there. "Yep. Candy bags."
Scamp then closed his locker rather loudly, surprising Oliver as he was inspecting his own. "We could fit just about anything in here! At least if it's as tall as Principal G.P.."
"Just don't get trapped in here yourself." Scamp advised Oliver, who closed his locker as he looked at him to see what he meant. "It's pretty easy to get cramped in there."
Oliver wasn't sure what Scamp meant, but his advise seemed to be sound. "I'll bet that's not the only way to get hurt by a locker."
"And I'm not looking to find any other ways." Scamp assured Oliver as he prepared to turn around. As soon as he did however, he collided with the other locker that was right next to him.
This caused him to stumble back a bit, and the female fox kit by the locker showed concern. "Oh, I'm sorry! Are you okay?"
"I'm good." Scamp assured the fox kit, showing that he could handle stuff like that no problem. Just then, the bell rang, alerting Scamp to what he and Oliver needed to do. "There's the bell! That means first period is starting soon!"
"Then we'd better hurry!" Oliver added, and then Scamp took his paw and ran off with him. He made sure to say goodbye to the fox kit for them. "It was nice meeting you!"
"You guys too!" The fox kit responded, and she took her book for her first period class and headed off. "Okay. Time to impress Tod."
Colonel was sitting at his desk, and Scamp and Oliver barely burst into the classroom on time with Scamp announcing their presence. "We're here!"
The class bell rang then and there, and Colonel signaled them to walk over to him. He was excited to give them a chance to have the rest of the class get to know them. "Ah, Scamp, Oliver. Perfect timing. I was just telling the class about you two."
Scamp got a good look at how many students were in the classroom. He had to admit. It was more than elementary school. "You must've had a lot of time on your paws."
"I told them all at once." Colonel clarified, and then he encouraged the two of them to let the class know some stuff about them. "Since you're new in Walton View, feel free to let the class know a thing or two about yourselves."
Scamp and Oliver looked at the class with Oliver deciding to make the first introduction so Scamp would feel comfortable doing it himself. "I can do it first so you know what to say. This should be a chance for both of us to make a good first impression."
"Good call. I never know what to say at times like this." Scamp admitted, stepping back to let Oliver have the floor.
Colonel didn't want the two to feel like this was being forced on them, so he reminded them it was up to them. "If you don't want to, we'll understand."
"We know. But if there's any chance to let the class know if they'll like us or not, it's now." Oliver pointed out, so he stepped forward and introduced himself, trying to be as casual as possible about this. "Hello everyone. My name is Oliver. And as Mr. O'Malley said, I'm new in town. I love video games, and I also love writing, and... oh yeah, I signed up for the writing club, so some of you might get to know me more there." Oliver felt that was enough, deciding to head to his seat while silently mouthing 'Good luck' to Scamp.
Scamp silently mouthed 'Thank you' back to Oliver as Colonel spoke up. "Thank you, Oliver. Scamp, would you like to go?"
Scamp nodded his head yes, and as he started talking he made it clear he had a lot to say despite his social awkwardness. "Hi everyone. My name is Scamp, and this is my first day in middle school. But then again, you already knew that. Like Oliver, I really love video games, and I also love exploring, watching cartoons and anime, and I also love friends, even though I never had many before. I think my last school hated me." He then addressed Oliver, who smiled at the mention. "Oliver is actually my first friend. He's the best. Probably better than the best."
Scamp kept going, showing that he wasn't good at knowing when to stop talking. "I also signed up for the school's basketball team, and I'm also new to basketball, so I'm really sorry if I end up sucking ass when playing right away. I'm also sorry for any wipeouts I have, or for when I struggle to focus in class, or if I talk too much, or..." Scamp then realized he was doing that last one, giving a sheepish grin as he walked over to the only empty chair. "Sorry, I know that was a lot. I'm sitting down now!"
Scamp sat down at his desk as Colonel thanked him for his lengthy introduction. "Thank you, Scamp." Scamp and Oliver looked at each other, being relieved that things didn't blow up in their faces. Colonel then got around to passing out the class textbooks, starting from the top row and going to the back. "Now then. I hope you remember your seats, because you'll be sitting here every day." Scamp and Oliver were sitting next to each other, which allowed them to hi paw at this revelation. "I'll do what I can to make sure you all go through this class smoothly."
Scamp then started looking out the window and saw a frog hopping by the pond out there. He wanted to tell Oliver about it, or at least take a picture. But when Colonel put his textbook down, it reminded him he was in class. Colonel started talking about the textbook so he could get the class up to speed. "Now then. Once you have your textbooks, please turn to page five. That's where our first lesson is, and it's the start of what we'll be going over this week."
Scamp and Oliver did as instructed, and as Scamp looked at the pages, he started wondering if he'd be able to focus on his work. Focusing was always hard for him, no matter how old he was. At least he was able to tell the class about it. The fact that they knew he didn't do this on purpose made it much easier on him.
Later that day, it was already third period, and Scamp and Oliver were walking down the hallway as they heard Angel's voice. "Scamp! Behind you!"
Scamp and Oliver turned around with Scamp being glad to see her. "Hey there, Angel! Great to see you again."
"Likewise." Angel assured Scamp, handing him a paper with the instructions of the basketball team on them. "Apparently, this is what I was called to the Principal's office for during second period. So Ms. La Fleur DIDN'T warn the Principal about my knife. And now I lost my knife."
Scamp looked at the paper as Oliver asked about the knife. "Why did you bring a knife to school in the first place?"
Scamp saw that the time for the basketball team to arrive was 3:30 after school for all five days of the week as Angel explained why. "I couldn't bring a gun to school, Oliver. That could get me expelled." Angel then saw Scamp looking at the paper and got back on topic. "Guess we'll be seeing each other every day after school. That gives me plenty of time to help you practice your baskets."
"That's gonna be great." Scamp responded, being more than happy that he already knew someone willing to help him. "I just hope it's not too much of a burden that I don't know what I'm doing."
"It's not like I'm teaching you how to build a rocket, dude." Angel replied, assuring Scamp that she was happy to be his mentor. "Everyone needs help when learning something new."
Scamp smiled from those words as Oliver then brought back his question. "I hope it's not too much to ask why you brought a knife to school at all."
Angel brought Scamp and Oliver in close after that, knowing that saying this out loud would get them into trouble. "You never know who you can and can't trust here. There could be someone willing to turn their back on you as soon as it sounds like a good idea to them. You have to be able to defend yourself when that happens. That includes breaking the rules." Scamp and Oliver were a little unsettled after that before the bell for lunch rang, prompting Angel to run off. "Lunchtime! Later losers!"
Scamp and Oliver were unsure of how to react to that, and Scamp looked to Oliver for clarification on something. "We can trust each other. Right?" Oliver nodded his head yes, making Scamp glad as they walked off to the cafeteria. "Okay, just checking."
At the cafeteria, Scamp and Oliver found a vacant lunch table to sit at, and today's lunch was none other than chicken nuggets. Scamp loved that, and Oliver had some fish sticks on his plate. And Scamp saw this, offering one of his chicken nuggets to Oliver. "Wanna swap?"
Oliver appreciated the offer, but he had reasons for not selecting chicken nuggets. "Thanks, Scamp, but I'm a pescetarian, so the only animal I eat is fish."
Scamp came to a realization after hearing that, remembering the talk Lady and Tibbs had two days ago. "So that's why mom and Tibbs talked about diets!" Oliver nodded his head yes in response, and Scamp started to feel bad about asking at all. "Sorry, I should've checked first."
"Hey, it's okay. I can't expect you to know EVERYTHING about me right away." Oliver assured Scamp, understanding that he was just trying to be polite.
"Okay good." Scamp said with relief, and as he and Oliver started eating, he started to wonder if he was being a good friend to Oliver or not. Even after he defended him from Mooch yesterday, he was unsure if Oliver saw anything wrong with him. It was eating him up inside, so he just asked, doing so rather directly. "Do you think I'm a good friend?"
The question caught Oliver off guard, but he was more than happy to give his answer to Scamp. "Of course I do, Scamp. I haven't been anything but happy being around you." Oliver then started thinking about why Scamp asked that question. The fact that Scamp wasn't eating showed that he still had a lot going on. He placed a paw on Scamp's shoulder, hoping he wouldn't mind talking to him about this. "I've been meaning to ask you. Why didn't you have any friends at your old school? Was there something wrong with your old school?"
Scamp did his best to hide his heartache as he expressed what he truly thought to Oliver. "No. There's... there's something wrong with me!" Oliver noticed Scamp's shift in tone as he vented about what he went through at his old school. "I never know when to stop talking, I'm not good at paying attention, and I can't remember anything. My dad always has to find my hat when I lose it. And I even scared them sometimes when I lost control and just... snapped."
Scamp looked down at his food as he lamented on his lack of friends back home. Or what he implied with his finishing words. "I wasn't even safe around my own locker."
Oliver was distraught after hearing Scamp spill his guts the way he did. There was one part that stood out to him. Scamp thinking there was something wrong with him. He'd seen nothing from Scamp that didn't bring him joy or comfort. He knew he'd have to keep his moments of 'losing control' in mind, but he still thought he was an amazing pup. Based on the rest of what Scamp said, Oliver had a good feeling he knew what Scamp actually went through at his old school. It brought a new light to why he defended him against Mooch yesterday.
Scamp continued staring at his food with Oliver scooting over to him and smiling as he spoke up. "Well, you've been a great friend to me so far." Scamp looked at Oliver, who showed nothing but sincerity in what he was saying. "That's worth a lot if you ask me."
Scamp smiled before hugging Oliver, who wrapped his arms around him and allowed the hug to sit for a bit. This is exactly what Scamp hoped he would find when his family moved to Walton View: Someone his age who didn't mind hanging out with him, and in fact... liked having him around. He then laughed a bit a he pulled Oliver away. When he remembered what time it was, it made him feel a little silly. "I'm sorry. I just remembered we were supposed to be eating."
"Hey. We all need a moment to vent sometimes." Oliver assured Scamp, and the two best friends smiled at each other before they got back to eating. They were more than glad to have each other by their side in their new school. And in Oliver's case, his first school. It helped that they were also neighbors, but this fast friendship between the two of them is one they hoped would last for a long time.
Scamp and Oliver were now in the gymnasium for the last period of the day: P.E., or Phys Ed. Since it was their first day, you'd think the coach would've gone easy on them. But you'd be wrong. The coach in question, Coach Pug, would NOT stop shouting at the top of his lungs for them to keep running around the middle of the gym. "Speed it up, you maggots! Thirty times around the middle square, nothing less!"
Scamp saw that Oliver was struggling to keep up, catching onto an obvious struggle of his. "Not much of a runner, huh?"
Oliver nodded his head no, just before two Dalmatians ran past them at max speed, surprising both of them. One of them was Lucky, and the other one was a three legged Dalmatian with a missing front left arm. The two of them were right beside each other as they made their next turn, and it was shown that they were going much faster than the others. And they continued to demonstrate their speed as they passed Coach Pug for the final time of thirty. Their time impressed him, and he showed in his response. "Horseshoe; Sweatband! Nice work!"
Lucky and the other Dalmatian started catching their breath as Lucky started talking. "Admit it, Tripod. I'm faster than you."
"Ha! As if." Tripod responded, being happy to participate in the friendly banter. "I'd destroy you in a real race too."
"There's no way you believe that. The only way you'd win is if you used your ass as a turbo booster!"
"Funny; that sounds a lot like a you thing. Especially with how you're always complimenting it!"
"Is it the hottest in the whole school, or isn't it!?"
"Even if it were, it wouldn't do a damn thing to help you beat me!"
"Alright, you two, settle down!" Coach Pug instructed, pointing over to where Patch was sitting by the bleachers. "Go sit with Wheels by the bleachers."
Lucky and Tripod did as instructed, and while they went to the bleachers, Lucky called to someone else. "You can do it, Roxie! Just keep moving forward!"
Roxie winked to Lucky in a flirty manner, prompting a question from Tripod as they got to the bleachers. "You two on again?"
"Yep. And hopefully I won't screw up this time." Lucky answered, and then he looked to Patch as he pointed out a benefit to his condition. "Ya gotta admit, Patch. Track is one thing people in wheelchairs most likely wouldn't ever miss. Besides Tripod of course."
Lucky pointed to Tripod with his thumb, who nodded in response as Patch then commented on a setback he wasn't so fond of. "Perhaps you're right. But I'll also have to miss out on the fun stuff from exercising."
Lucky took Patch's paw with some encouraging words in regards to this fact. "Maybe someday, they'll make something to help you play. Or come up with a sport specifically for people in your paws."
"Oh, they allow wheelchair kids in some sports. I just wish I could play with you guys is all." Lucky made an effort to comfort Patch as Scamp kept running around the assigned number of times.
Scamp ended up tripping however after seeing Lucky, Patch, and Tripod, prompting Pug to call out to him as he was getting back up. "Scruffy! I didn't say to fall on your face! Keep moving!"
"Yes, Coach Pug!" Scamp called back as he continued running, knowing he wouldn't want to fail his assignment on the first day.
Scamp and Oliver were now sitting on the bleachers together, and Oliver was chugging down his water bottle to replenish his hydration. Scamp put his paw on Oliver's arm, feeling how much he was sweating from having just finished his run a minute ago. "You could fill a water bottle with all your sweat, dude." Scamp shook his paw as he spoke more about that. "And it's not the kind of water I'd wanna drink."
"Good thing I don't plan on doing that then." Oliver joked, and then Scamp handed him an extra towel to dry himself off with. "Thank you."
Oliver started to dry himself off as Scamp thought about how much this class was gonna bring out of them. "This is a lot harder than it was in elementary school. Actually, every class is harder than elementary school." Oliver listened as Scamp started talking about how hard classes were now. "Everything has extra names now. Math has like algebra and calculus, now there's biology and chemistry, which if I'm being honest, sound pretty cool, and now English has grades too. How am I supposed to keep track of all that?"
Oliver couldn't help laughing after thinking for a moment about how hard that'd be. "That's a very good question. No wonder so many people hate school."
"For me, the biggest pain is focusing on my schoolwork." Scamp admitted, and then he started thinking about what he wanted to do when he got home. "Hey. When we get home, you wanna play video games at my place? I finally got everything set up the way I wanted it."
"Yeah. I should be able to hang out before dinner." Oliver then noticed Mooch signaling that he was watching him as a warning. He was unsettled, especially since he didn't even know why Mooch was targeting him.
Scamp made sure to let Oliver know that he had his back. "If he tries anything, I'll be ready to help you the best I can." Oliver appreciated that and smiled to Scamp so he could show it. He also knew he could count on Colonel and Tibbs to take care of Mooch if he stepped out of line at home.
Scamp was now in the shower room with the other students who signed up for the basketball team, one of them being Angel, who sat with him while they waited for Coach Pug. The other five members were an orange cat named Toulouse, a bear cub named Koda, a German Shepherd named Chucky, a bear cub named Kit, and a Dalmatian named Freckles. Scamp was currently trying out his new gym gear, an orange tank top and gym shorts with the initials FSFTG on it. He liked the way it looked on him. Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice. "No way."
He looked to the right and saw Collette walking up to him in a cheerleader outfit, along with a chubby Dalmatian with a top white half, and a bottom black half. "They let YOU participate in a sport?"
"What's wrong with letting me play?" Scamp asked, and then he figured he already knew what Collette's problem was. "Outside of the fact that we'll obviously have be in the same room after school."
"Well... technically nothing." Collette admitted, despite following it up with a problem he'd have here. "Actually, here's one. You'd never be able to focus on the ball."
"Heads up!" Scamp was about to retort, only for Angel to toss him the ball, which he managed to catch after catching it out of the corner of his eye. "He caught that one pretty well!"
Angel then walked up to the group with Collette scoffing at her sudden entrance. "This doesn't concern you, whatever your name is."
"Well I'm making it concern me." Angel informed Collette, knowing that regardless of who it was, this kind of behavior wouldn't fly on the team. "The last thing any team needs in this school, is drama. That includes drama started out of nowhere before practice even starts."
"I'm just saying. Scamp can barely pay attention when he's walking." Collette informed Angel, looking at Scamp as she finished her statement. "Just watch. That catch he just made won't be a guaranteed thing during games." Collette then walked off while signaling the Dalmatian to come with her. "Come on, Two-Tone. Let's try to avoid getting my brother's reek on us."
Two-tone headed off with Collette, and once they left, Angel was quick to ask about what she said about her relation to Scamp. "That broad's your sister?"
"I heard that, bitch!"
After Collette shouted back, Scamp confirmed this to be true. "Yep. And as you can clearly see, we do NOT get along."
"It's gotta be hard living with that kind of dynamic." Angel said before admitting that she didn't know what it was like to have a sibling. "I wouldn't know since I'm an only child, but I can imagine that having siblings isn't all sunshine and rainbows that other only children think it is."
"It's really not." Scamp assured her, and then he started talking about what life was like back home. "I have two other sisters, and they aren't as bad as Collette, to be fair. That's the sister we were just talking with." Angel nodded to show that she understood. "Annette is probably the smartest kid to ever live, but we don't really relate all that much. Danielle is better, but she hangs out more with Annette and Collette." Angel smiled, feeling warmth over talking to someone her own age. "I guess girls just like hanging out with other girls."
Angel laughed a bit before assuring Scamp that she was different. "Some do. But I'm not one of them." That caught Scamp's attention, and while Angel's next words had some somber implications to them, she was happy when she said them. "I just want people who stick around."
Scamp smiled as he brought up something else he felt Angel would like. "Then it's a good thing you offered to help me with my basketball game."
"Hehe. Yeah." Scamp and Angel felt happy when looking at and talking to each other. Scamp didn't know he could feel happy talking to a girl his own age. But then again, he was hoping for something new in Walton View.
After school, Scamp was smiling as he stepped out the SUV, which Tramp noticed as he walked up to the porch. He gave him the same hug he did with his daughters while bringing up Scamp's positive mood. "Someone's in a good mood!" Tramp pulled Scamp away and looked at him with a comment on his mood. "I guess this means you're starting to enjoy it here, eh, Scamp?"
Scamp looked to see Oliver coming over to their house, and he kept his smile as he answered his dad's question. "Yeah. I think I am." Once Oliver arrived at the house, Scamp asked about what they talked about before. "By the way, is it cool if Oliver and I play video games until dinner?"
"You know the answer is yes." Tramp assured Scamp, rubbing his head and allowing him and Oliver to head inside to start gaming. "Now get up there and enjoy yourselves."
"Thanks, dad!" Scamp and Oliver hi pawed as Scamp started talking about the video games he had. "My parents make a lot of money, especially my dad, so I get a lot of video games often."
"That sounds great." Oliver said, wondering how many video games he'd get into himself. "I wonder what MY collection will look like." Tramp took the time to smile to Lady as she arrived at the porch last. The two of them shared a kiss of love, one that shared joy in how well Scamp was adjusting to their new home.
Scamp and Oliver continued to go upstairs with Scamp opening up his door after they arrived at his room. "Ya know something, Oliver?"
"What is it, Scamp?" Oliver asked, knowing that this would be something good based on Scamp's mood.
Scamp allowed Oliver to go into his room first, and that was when he grabbed the doorknob and said what he wanted to say. "I think I'm gonna like it here." And after he closed the door behind him, the screen faded to black, ending the episode off.
