Chapter 3: Uprooted
On a clear sunny day, Rainbow was in her Wonderbolt uniform and was flying. Behind the cerulean pegasus, Silverstream was following her very quickly.
They flew through the air and soon Rainbow lands as well as Silverstream with the pink hippogriff creating a few cracks underneath her. Silverstream stood tall and proudly with a smile.
"Congratulations, Silverstream!" Rainbow said with a proud smile as she flew up to Sliverstream and gives her a Wonderbolt badge. "You're officially the first non-Pegasus Wonderbolt!"
"Really?!" Silverstream asked excitedly as she beamed. "That is such an honor! I don't know how to thank you, Professor Dash!"
"Easy! You're kicking off our show right now!" Rainbow said. "So get up there and make me proud!"
Rainbow then flies off in the air, but Silverstream was taken aback by that.
"Wait! I don't have my uniform!" Sliverstream said as she slightly panicked when suddenly, Ocellus appeared in a cap and gown.
"Silverstream! Somehow, I missed a class all year, and the final is today! If I don't pass, I can't graduate!" Ocellus said in concern and worry. "Headstallion Chase isn't going to be pleased about this!"
Then suddenly they heard screaming, and then saw Yona falling through the sky screaming her head off. She covered her eyes as she neared the ground, but strangely she felt she suddenly froze as a magical aura caught her.
She opens her eyes and glances around before she looks up to see Korra as the alicorn mare was hovering in the air while using her magic to hold Yona in place.
The young yak sighed in relief as she gave Korra a thankful smile.
"Thanks, Korra." Yona said as Korra placed her on the ground.
"Anytime, Yona." Korra replied back with a smile as Bolin and Mako slid down some poles before they joined the three.
Silverstream and Ocellus went up to the four.
"Whoa. That was weird." Ocellus said in surprise.
"Yeah. You stopped just a foot from the ground." Bolin said with a stunned and confused look as Silverstream noticed something.
"And that's even weirder." Silverstream said as she pointed at something with a weird look.
They moved over as they saw Smolder in a dress and make up, drinking tea. The young dragon soon noticed them and quickly tossed the cup away.
"Uh, this isn't mine!" Smolder said as she quickly removed the dress and smiled sheepishly.
"Okay. I'll pretend I didn't see that." Mako said awkwardly.
"Same here." Bolin said in agreement, creeped out as well when suddenly they heard a scream.
"That sounded like Gallus!" Korra exclaimed in worry. "Come on, guys!"
Gallus was in a small room and the door was closing.
"Make it stop!" Gallus begged in fear. "Make it stop!"
He soon starts hyperventilating as the door is almost closed. But then it stopped just half an inch from closer, and then opened as Silverstream pulled him out. That's when they saw Sandbar panicking, and he was trying to figure out each cupcake to choose.
But then, a bright purple flashed appeared as they joined him and then the Tree of Harmony's spirit as Twilight appeared. Even though the Tree is gone, it appears its spirit has survived Sombra's wrath.
"Good. You have all answered my summons." The spirit said.
"Wait." Silverstream said, realizing something. "You mean this isn't my dream?"
"Friends must be dreaming together!" Yona said in realization.
"More like a nightmare!" Gallus said from his small space problem.
"I know, right?" Sandbar said and looked at the cupcakes. "How do I pick just one? They all look so good!"
"That's your version of a bad dream?" Smolder asked dismissively.
"Come on, Sandbar! You're kidding, right?" Mako asked Sandbar as if he was crazy.
"But why did you bring us here, Headmare Twilight?" Ocellus asked.
"And what about Master Chase? Where is he?" Korra asked for the alicorn stallion in concern.
"I am not Twilight and her husband is not with her." The spirit said. "I am merely the messenger. You must all hurry. The Tree of Harmony needs you."
Suddenly, the spirit placed her hoof on the ground, and then rainbow beams approached the Young Nine before they each disappeared.
In each of their homes, they all gasped.
*Main theme*
The next morning, in the School of Friendship, Chase, Nyx, Twilight and Spike were getting things ready for the school year. Spike was finishing up polishing the floor as he soon finished and looked at his reflection.
He clicks his tongue.
"Lookin' good." Spike said with a smug smirk when Chase and Nyx approached him with flat looks.
"Are you kidding me?" Chase asked, causing Spike to yelp in surprise as he saw the two alicorns looking at him with unamused looks. "Spike, what are you doing looking at yourself in the mirror? You know, if you keep doing that, somepony is gonna see you."
"Yeah, and it will be embarrassing if you don't keep it to yourself. Especially if Ember will see that." Nyx added with a teasing smirk.
"Will you cut it out, Nyx?!" Spike asked annoyingly. "Besides, you can't insult perfection if you don't respect it."
"What you can't respect is your fat head." Nyx remarked with a snarky smirk as she was using her magic to carry notes while walking past Spike as the baby dragon blew an annoyed raspberry at her.
"More to the point, we've got more work to do around the school so we need to focus on getting everything organized when the students come back from their summer break." Chase said as he used his magic place some binder books on the table and he turns to Spike, who has attention on him, with a stern look. "So focus on helping us clean the area around, will you please?"
"Okay, okay." Spike said when suddenly Twilight teleported over him with a panicked look.
"Spike! Chase! Nyx! I have horrible news!" Twilight exclaimed, getting Chase and Nyx's attention.
"What's wrong?" Spike asked, concerned. "Is the Crystal Empire under attack again?!"
"Is there any trouble, honey?" Chase asked his wife with worry.
"What? No!" Twilight said as she shook her head and brought a box with school supplies before she brought out some orange highlighters. "We only have 20 highlighters! And they're all orange! How will everycreature color-code their notes?!"
Twilight gives Spike a worried look while Chase and Nyx looked a little confused.
"Twilight. I don't think it's going to be a problem since we'll have the other highlighters coming in." Chase said as he approached his wife and put a hoof on her shoulder. "There's no need to get worked up about this."
"Yeah, and we're pretty sure you're the only one that does that?" Spike smirked.
"Still, 20 isn't enough for the new school year!" Twilight said as Spike flew up to her.
"We got plenty of time to order more." Spike assured with a smile. "The friendship students won't be back until-" Then suddenly the doors opened, and they saw the Young Nine entering the school. "Uh, now?"
"Well, that was quick." Nyx said in surprise as she and her parents turned to each other with confused looks.
When Yona appeared, she then tripped over a step, tumbles down and stops next to Twilight and Chase.
"This is a surprise. We didn't expect you guys to make it here this early." Chase commented with a slight smile.
"My husband is right. This is a surprise." Twilight said. "Why are you all here so early?" She looks at some folders. "Did I send out the wrong back-to-school date?!"
"Oh, we're not here for school." Smolder said.
"Bit of a long story." Bolin said with a modest smile.
"Yeah. We're back 'cause the Tree of Harmony called us here." Sandbar explained.
Twilight gasped as she turned to Spike, Nyx, and Chase uneasily before turning back to the group.
"Yeah… about that…" Chase said with an unsure and worried expression as he looked to the side.
"Don't feel bad it didn't reach out to you." Gallus said with a smirk. "We kinda have a special connection with it after last year."
"Sure was crazy." Korra said in agreement.
"Guys, it's nothing like that at all." Chase said, making the Young Nine confused. "There's no way that could've happened."
"What do you mean, Headstallion Chase?" Mako asked curiously. "We all had the same dream last night and the tree called us."
"But the Tree couldn't have called you." Twilight said. "It's gone! Sombra destroyed it!"
Initially, the Young Nine gasped of what they heard.
"When you mean gone." Mako said. "Do you mean, like, gone, gone?"
"Mmmmaybe next time, ease in with those truth bombs." Spike advised Twilight sheepishly.
"What happened?" Korra asked with worry and concern for the Tree of Harmony's well being.
"All of it is destroyed. It's completely gone for good." Chase answered with regret and sadness.
"W-What about the Elements of Harmony?" Sandbar asked.
"Those are gone, too." Twilight sadly added.
"Oh man, Sombra must've followed you after you thought you defeated him at the Empire." Korra said.
"But doesn't that mean the Everfree Forest will take over Equestria?!" Ocellus exclaimed.
"We've got that under control, and Sombra won't be coming back, so... some good news, right?" Spike said.
"Thanks for almost making them give up their hopes, Spike." Chase said sarcastically as the Young Nine felt uneasy.
"Well... At least we won't have to worry about Sombra anymore." Mako said.
"Can we see the Tree ourselves?" Silverstream asked. "Or what's left of it?"
"As long as you promised to stick together." Twilight advised. "The Castle of the 2 Sisters isn't the safest, as you may remember when the Quinkan attacked."
"The first time when you guys met them and Kai." Chase reminded them what happened last time.
"Yona not scared of spirit monsters anymore!" Yona said. "Friends save whole school from evil Pegasus!"
"Yeah, I'm not scared of those Quinkan beasts." Korra said with a confident smile. "And if Cozy thinks about coming back, I'll give her a piece of my mind!"
"Me too!" Mako added with a smirk.
"They do have a point." Spike said to Twilight and Chase.
The Young Nine laughed as Chase just rolled his eyes with an amused smile before he turns back to the students.
"But just watch yourselves, guys." Chase said while gaining the Young Nine's attention. "We still don't know if Kai is going to strike back with his army. So keep your eyes out for any sign of the Quinkan."
"We will, Headstallion Chase." Korra said as she and friends bowed in respect to the alicorn stallion before they made their exit to find the Tree of Harmony.
(Scene changes)
Sometime later, the Young Nine arrived at the cave leading to the remains of the Tree of Harmony and they gasped in horrid shock by what they were seeing.
"How could this happen?!" Gallus exclaimed in shock.
They approach the Tree remains as Korra and Ocellus each pick up a piece.
"If only we hadn't gone home for summer break." Ocellus said and wished they could've done something. "Maybe we could've saved the Tree."
"We were miles apart from each other, Ocellus." Korra said. "We'd never gotten to the Tree in time if we did."
Smolder annoyingly huffs.
"I wished that Sombra guy was still around, so we could teach him a lesson!" Smolder said angrily by what the evil unicorn king did.
"That not bring back Tree." Yona said somberly. "Or Elements of Harmony."
Silverstream then gasped, having an idea.
"Wait! We all saw and heard the Tree in our dream, right? How could it talk to us if it was really gone? Maybe if we close our eyes and think really strong friendship thoughts, the Tree will get better!" Silverstream suggested as she smiled.
"Eh, I've heard worse suggestions." Smolder shrugged.
"Hmm, I don't know about that." Korra said with concern. "But it's worth a shot. Maybe we can try what Headstallion Chase taught us."
"Yeah. With concentration and focus, we can see if it will work." Bolin added in agreement.
They all gathered around, and held each other's hoof, hand, claw, and foot. They remained silent for a few moments, waiting for something to happen.
"Is it working?" Sandbar asked in a loud whisper.
Yona looks at the still destroyed Tree.
"No." Yona said sadly.
"I guess the Tree really is gone." Ocellus said sadly.
"Then we need to do something to honor it!" Gallus said.
"Ah, good idea, Gallus!" Smolder agreed with a smile.
"But, how?" Korra asked. "It might be harder somehow."
"Maybe not, Korra. Maybe that's why the Tree called us!" Sandbar said. "It must've used the last of it's magic to make sure we'd come here and keep its memory alive!"
"It did say it needed us." Ocellus remarked.
"But how exactly are we supposed to do that?" Mako asked curiously. "If we're gonna honor the Tree of Harmony how are we suppose to…?"
"Ocellus!" Yelled Thorax's voice.
"Was that Thorax?" Bolin said as he looked back to the cave's entrance.
Ocellus panicked, and turned into a rock with only her eyes showing as she lands on the ground.
But Thorax got to her, as Chase and Twilight were behind him.
"There you are! The hive has been worried sick!" Thorax firmly said. "Why did you leave without telling us? The last time you and your friends were nearly killed by the Quinkan!"
"Uh, yeah and it was Neighsay's fault for his dislike of non-ponies." Jr uneasily corrected as Ocellus changes back.
"Uh, sorry, Thorax! It was an emergency!" Ocellus said ashamedly.
"But it still doesn't change the fact that you guys left without telling your leaders. We should get you all back home before they get even more worried." Chase said firmly as Twilight nodded in agreement with her husband.
"Chase is right." Thorax said as he nodded in agreement with Chase. "And Ocellus, next time ask before you run off. Now, come on. Let's go home."
Then, he, Chase, Twilight and Ocellus begin to head out.
"Wait! She can't leave! We have a... dragon quest!" Smolder said nervously as she flew up to Thorax.
"But she's not a dragon." Thorax said. He looks back and saw a dragon behind him, but he just had a blunt look on his face. "You know what I mean."
Ocellus changes back.
"This is quest for all Yona friends!" Yona said and went up to him. "Need to help Tree!"
"And it might take a while." Sandbar added.
"Can we stay, Headmare Twilight and Headstallion Chase?" Silverstream asked as she went up to the alicorn couple.
"Well, I don't know." Chase said as he rubbed his chin with a look of doubt.
"It's just until we finish." Korra said.
Twilight and Chase turned over to Thorax, who nodded as he was okay with it.
"Well, as long as you get permission from your kingdom, I suppose it's all right." Twilight said.
"And as long as you get it done before school starts, we'll be alright with it." Chase added as Gallus flew up to him and Twilight
"You guys want that permission in triplicate, or is one enough?" Gallus asked, holding a few slips as they all stared at him and the young griffin shrugged with a smile. "What? I like to be prepared."
Chase chuckled in amusement as Twilight had a proud smile on her face. Chase then turned his attention to Korra, Mako, and Bolin.
"You guys won't mind if you help Sandbar with this?" Chase asked with a smile.
"Don't worry, Headstallion Chase. We won't let you down." Sandbar said with a confident smile as Korra rolled her eyes playfully.
(Scene changes)
Later in the Dragon Lands, Smolder arm wrestles another dragon as some other dragons cheered and soon, Smolder won.
Ember nods with a proud smile as she signs Smolder's slip, and the younger dragon flew up while the Dragon Lord hands it to her.
Smolder soon flies off.
(Scene changes)
In Yakyakistan, Yona's mother hangs a rug and dusts it. Then she saw Yona pawing the snow, and then charged at the three others rugs as dusts them off completely.
Later, her mother heads inside and lies down for a nap as Yona placed a pillow under her head, poured some tea, and placed a blanket on her.
Sometime later, it was snowing. Yona's mother heads out, and saw that Yona has cleared a trail. She approached her daughter with a signed slip and Yona hugs her.
(Scene changes)
In Griffinstone, Gallus heads to Grandpa Gruff's place. He knocked on his door, Gallus was about to explain, only for the elder griffin took the slip, signed it and placed it over Gallus' face and closed the door as the young griffin headed off.

In the Changeling Kingdom, Ocellus' siblings signed the form as well as her mother and her father before she headed off.

Over at Mt. Aris, Silverstream explains to her family with some drawings and they soon signed it as Silverstream happily hugs her family.
(Scene changes)
Later at the cave, Korra, Mako, and Bolin were outside of the cave waiting for the rest of their friends to get back. But from the looks of their faces, the three ponies were a little nervous about something.
"Do you really think Sandbar's plan will work, guys? This has gotta be the craziest he's ever done." Mako said with concern.
"I don't like it either, Mako." Korra said with concern just like Bolin is. "But maybe we should at least hear what the others have to say and see what they have in mind."
"Let's hope so, because here they come now." Bolin said as he pointed to Silverstream, Smolder, Ocellus, Gallus, and Yona heading straight to them.
"Hey, guys." Silverstream said happily. "Did we arrive just in time?"
"Yeah, you guys did. But, um…" Korra said with a nervous smile she shared with Mako and Bolin when Sandbar rushed up them.
"Hey, you're back!" Sandbar said to the rest of the gang as Korra, Mako, and Bolin still felt uneasy about this. "Great! Since we live locally, I figured we'd do a little cleaning up while you were gone." He leads them to the cave. "Give us a head start, you know?"
But then they all gasped in shocked.
"Sandbar, Mako, Korra, Bolin, where's the Tree?" Gallus asked the four ponies with a stern look he and the others sent to them.
The entire has been cleared out.
"Yeah, about the Tree…" Korra said uneasily before she groaned in frustration as she turned to Sandbar. "Alright, tell them right now!"
"I got rid of it, to make room for a memorial." Sandbar answered.
"You guys did this?!" Smolder questioned.
"Look, to be honest, we didn't like the idea either. And it's just not right!" Bolin said in his, Korra, and Mako's defense.
"Uh, yeah." Sandbar said a little uneasy now. "That's what you guys were thinking, right?"
He smiled nervously, but his friends just gave him unamused looks.
"Yeah, no, you lame brain!" Mako said in agitation as Smolder smacked herself.
"So not." Silverstream awkwardly said.
"And none of us can even fix the problem if we don't come up with a better solution." Korra said angrily.
"Well, I'm trying! Okay, Korra!?" Sandbar replied back as Ocellus flew up and looked around.
"How can we remember the Tree if it's totally gone?!" Ocellus
"Oh, it's not gone. Look!" Sandbar said as they followed him and he approached a small tree in the ground. "I planted a new tree."
Sandbar turns to them as they stared at him, and he grumbles uneasily.
"Sandbar, you know that's not the same tree, right?" Ocellus asked.
"But it's a symbol, y'know?" Sandbar said.
"Uh yeah. But there's just one problem. The Tree is actually made out of crystal!" Mako angrily said, making Sandbar flinch.
"Pony heart in right place." Yona said.
Gallus angrily growled.
"That doesn't matter! This cave was supposed to stay exactly the same so that future creatures could come visit and experience the memory of the Tree!" Gallus said
"Sorry, everycreature." Sandbar apologized. "I thought I was helping."
"The Tree of Harmony is a huge part of Equestrian history." Smolder reminded him sternly. "If we're gonna honor it, we need to be better than that."
"Okay, then. Anyone got any ideas?" Korra asked. "I'm pretty sure if we can think of some sort of solution-"
"Yeah!" Silverstream beamed, cutting off Korra. "Like lots of artwork that represents the symbolism and deep emotions of the Tree!"
"No!" Gallus denied, having a different idea. "It should be a museum with all the Tree's history and artifacts."
"Or a really big and imposing monument, so everycreature knows how powerful the Tree was!" Smolder said.
"I think we should turn this cave into a place for creatures to reflect on the Tree's true gift - the Elements of Harmony." Ocellus suggested stacking some rocks on top of each other.
"Boring." Smolder rolled her eyes.
"I like my idea better." Silverstream said.
"What's more perfect than another tree?!" Sandbar asked.
"What would Headmare Twilight and Headstallion Chase want?" Ocellus asked and thought. "We know that Headstallion honors Darius Hisomi's spirit and has been training
"Yona! Korra! Mako! Bolin!" Gallus said as he turned to Korra, Mako, Bolin, and Yona, but they've been quiet. "You've been awfully quiet. Which idea do you guys like best?"
"Yona like when friends not argue." Yona said uneasily. "M-Maybe friends listen to each other and... make plan together?"
"It might help." Korra said in agreement.
"And see if we can put each other's differences aside?" Bolin asked as well while Mako nodded with them as the others glanced each other.
"Naaaah." They all said in unison and they all went off with their own ideas.
Korra, Bolin, Mako, and Yona groaned.
"What should we do?" Mako asked the three with concern. "Look, I'm all up for getting angry, but I don't want to let Chase and Twilight down."
"We all don't want to, Mako." Korra assured her friend while placing a hoof on Mako's shoulder. "And deep down the others sure the same feeling. There's gotta be something we can do."
"Like what?" Yona asked the alicorn mare with concern.
(Scene changes)
Later, Sandbar placed small rocks around the small tree.
"Hey, little guy." Sandbar said to it. "Need a drink?"
He then pours some water to it.
"Step right up!" Gallus' voice suddenly rang. "Walk this way! Welcome to the one, the only, magical Tree of Harmony Museum!"
Sandbar was surprised by that, and nearly dropped the pitcher as the water spills out of it. He sets it down and grabs some ear muffs and hangs it over the sapling.
At the cave entrance, Gallus has set up a museum like entrance with posters and other things. Yona and Korra were looking at something as two ponies appeared while Gallus went into the ticket stall.
"Come, see the birthplace of the Tree!" Gallus announced and flew to a poster of the Tree. "Grown from the tears of a Basilisk and tended day and night by pony magicians! This is truly one of the Wonders of Equestria!"
"Uh, Gallus? None of that actually true." Yona pointed out.
"So?" Gallus shrugged. "Honoring the Tree means giving it a story that creatures will care about."
"It already has a great story!" Sandbar remarked.
"Yeah, but mine makes more sense." Gallus said.
"Whatever." Sandbar said dismissively. "Can you keep it down? My sapling doesn't like the noise."
"Good!" Gallus said, annoyed. "It doesn't belong in the Tree's memorial anyway."
He then turns back to the two tourist ponies as Korra sighed while placing a hoof to her head.
"And if you think is great, just wait until you see the mystical Cave of Harmony!" Gallus announced and leads them away.
"Oh boy." Korra said weary.
(Scene changes)
Over the edge of the ravine, Smolder was pushing a boulder to the edge and soon, it fell over the edge as it hits the ground.
Smolder flew over to it, and then kicks a piece off of it as she blasted a flame at it.
Yona and Bolin appeared.
"What dragon doing?" Yona asked.
"Smolder, what exactly is that?" Bolin asked with a confused look as Smolder flew up and started punching the rock.
"Making a memorial statue of the Tree." Smolder said punching the rock. "When creatures see this, they'll be super impressed!"
"Uh, look like rock, not tree." Yona pointed.
"Don't you think it's just too much?" Bolin added, not liking where this is going.
"I'm not finished yet, Bolin!" Smolder snapped. "And honestly, I'm kinda having a hard time remembering what the Tree looked like. I can't believe I'm already forgetting."
"We'll come up with something." Bolin assured his friend.
(Scene changes)
Meanwhile, in the cave Silverstream was printing different colors and patterns on the wall as Mako was watching her.
"Hmmm... Needs more loyalty." Silverstream said.
She then picks up a bucket of yellow paint then she splashes it and almost hitting Yona, Korra, and Bolin as they appeared.
"Careful, guys! It's not dry yet." Silverstream said.
"What Hippogriff painting?" Yona asked.
"What is all of this exactly, Silverstream?" Mako asked.
"It's the Tree, silly!" Silverstream smiled and flew up to the other paintings. "See? These are the emotions its loss and made me feel, dancing with the representation of Elements of Harmony!" And flew down to them.
"I didn't know you had a skill of painting." Korra said as she, Mako, Bolin, and Yona each raised an eyebrow.
"Maybe I should label it." Silverstream suggested.
Then suddenly a shadow cast over them, and then some water drop down in front of them. They looked up and then saw water splashed over them.
Silverstream shook the water off her and they looked up as they saw Ocellus as a large flying creature holding a fountain.
"Oops! Sorry!" Ocellus apologized.
Silverstream glanced down at her painting, and then saw there was a brown color mixed from the other colors.
"Oh, no! Brown isn't an Element of Harmony!" Silverstream exclaimed, trying to fix it.
Ocellus struggles to fly straight with the fountain, and then Yona helps it straight with Bolin aiding them as well.
"Thanks, Yona and Bolin!" Ocellus said as they moved carefully to a spot. "This fountain is heavier than I thought."
"And you got this where?" Korra sked as she watched the three set the fountain down. Korra, Bolin, Mako, and Yona looked over as they saw some wind chimes and it looks like the area to mediate. "What's with all of the mediation stuff, Ocellus?"
Ocellus changes back.
"It's for creatures to look at as they honor the Tree's memory in quiet thought and contemplation, Korra." Ocellus explained. "I got some help and guidance from the counselor at our feelings forum back home. Only positive energy will bloom here."
"That's… very thoughtful of you." Mako said with an unsure look of what to make of this.
"Wait! You can't go yet!" Gallus' voice yelled.
"Was that Gallus?" Korra asked as she frowned and then the two tourist ponies were seen running away, but then Gallus quickly lands in front of them.
"There'a a whole puppet show of the time the Tree tested us in the catacombs under the School of Friendship!" Gallus said with some puppets.
The two ponies glanced each other unsure and then Smolder flew over them with a rock statue of the Tree.
"Hey, stop!" Gallus said as he flew after her and the two ponies ran off.
"You can't bring that hunk of junk into my museum!" Gallus shouted as he flew towards Smolder.
"It's not for your museum." Smolder replied back as she turned to him. "It's for my tree memorial."
Then she flew inside the cave, but then Gallus caught it.
"So leave it outside!" Gallus said as he tries to pulls away.
"It belongs in here!" Smolder shouted angrily as she pulled it back.
But then a rock branch of the statue snapped off, and Gallus lost his grip as it dropped over Ocellus' fountain. The water over the wall and then drenched Silverstream and messed up her painting.
"Oh, this can't be good." Korra said with worry and concern like, Mako, Bolin, and Yona shared the same.
Then the rock started rolling towards Sandbar, who was busy with his sapling. But he didn't notice it because he had ear muffs on.
But at the last second, Yona and Bolin quickly pulled him out of the way as well with his sapling right before the rock hit the wall.
"Uh, oh." Gallus said and they all saw the entire place was a mess as Silverstream gasped.
"What did you do?!" Silverstream shouted in horror and shock as Ocellus picks up a rock shaped Element.
"My meditation garden is ruined! Why couldn't you've been more careful?!" Ocellus exclaimed with a broken heart.
"This never would've happened if you had all listened to me!" Gallus shouted angrily as he glared at the others.
"And made the Tree some kind of roadside attraction?!" Sandbar remarked sarcastically and angrily. "Uh, no thanks!"
Silverstream hyperventilates through a bag.
"Headmare Twilight and Headstallion Chase are gonna be so mad when she sees what you guys did to the Cave of Harmony!" Silverstream said with extreme concern.
"Yeah, like some rainbow art project was better?" Smolder sarcastically said.
"Not cool!" Sandbar exclaimed as he and Smolder glared at each other.
"It's impressionism!" Silverstream said, getting angry.
"I'm just glad the Tree isn't here to see this." Ocellus said.
"This is all your fault!" Smolder glared at Sandbar.
"I give up!" Gallus said.
That's when Korra, Bolin, Mako, Yona grunted.
"QUIET!" Yona, Korra, Mako, and Bolin yelled as the yak stomped the ground.
"Friends doing this the wrong way. All remembering Tree of Harmony for what Tree was, not what Tree is!" Yona said sternly.
"All of this just making you guys hate each other! I mean, look at yourselves!" Korra said as she then started gibbering like mad before she regained her focus while looking at the five. "You five are acting crazy! I should compare you to an oni!"
"You mean 'gone'!" Smolder pointed out.
"No!" Yona snapped. "Yona and others mean even though Tree not here here, Tree here. In hearts Tree made friendship even closer."
She then unrolled a sheet of paper which is a drawing of them with the Tree.
"That's right!" Ocellus getting the picture. "We ran away to be together right above this spot! The Castle of the two Sisters!"
"And later on, the Tree tested us to show us we're stronger as a team!" Sandbar added.
"Though it was Cozy who made us felt uneasy that day she was on the side of the Quinkan." Mako merely said.
"It did call us all here." Smolder remarked.
"You mean the Tree of Harmony lives on in our friendship!" Silverstream said as she gasped.
"Wow." Gallus said, amazed. "I can't believe we just got schooled by a Yak."
"Yaks know things not forever." Yona said. "That's why smash and rebuild."
"I thought you smash just for fun." Bolin said.
"I think we took care of the smashing part." Ocellus said as she gestured to the damaged.
"Then maybe we should start building. Together?" Gallus suggested and the others nodded.
"Just one problem." Smolder said. "We still haven't decided what we should do for the Tree."
"Ideas, anyone?" Mako asked as Yona thinks of one.
"Yona have idea." Yona said as she drags out a cart with some of the Tree remains.
"The Tree! Where did you find it?!" Ocellus exclaimed in surprise.
"Oh, I didn't move it too far." Sandbar remembered.
They then turned to him.
"It was kinda heavy." Sandbar said.
"And you're just mentioning this now?" Gallus asked as he glared at the Earth Pony.
"What important is that Yona, Korra, Mako, and Bolin bring back branches so friends can rebuild!" Yona said.
"Rebuild what, exactly?" Smolder questioned.
"Ooh-ooh-ooh, I know!" Silverstream beamed. "Something that represents what the Tree is! The gateway to our friendship!"
"Yes!" Yona beamed and placed two crystal pieces over her. "What ponies call it? Club... home?"
"A treehouse!" Gallus corrected with a smile as Ocellus gasped.
"That's a great idea!" Ocellus said, liking the idea with a smile.
"I know the Tree would've liked that!" Smolder said.
"Uh-huh!" Yona replied back as she nodded and they began to clear the mess.
"Help me with this piece!" Sandbar asked in a strained voice, trying to move the fountain.
Yona helps him as they begin to push it out.
"Alright, guys! Let's get to work!" Bolin said as they soon begin to clean up the other things and washing the paint.

Soon, they all gathered around, and the treehouse was finished.
"Well? What do you think?" Sandbar asked the others with an uneasy smile.
It's, uh... kinda messy..." Ocellus said as a Bat flew off.
"Yeah... like a bunch of different parts all smushed together." Smolder added.
"Oh, it's just like us!" Silverstream said as she hugged Sandbar, Smolder and Mako.
"It almost looks it might break any minute." Mako said as he jumped out of the hug.
"Yona think it perfect!" Yona said as she smiled with Korra.
"Let's give it a try." Gallus said as he and the others approached the treehouse.
Then the Young Nine approached the treehouse and they all giggled in enjoyment. Suddenly, the treehouse glowed and the ground shook.
"Whoa! What's happening?!" Sandbar exclaimed.
"It looks like magic!" Ocellus said.
"Everycreature out!" Smolder yelled.
The Young Nine quickly rushed out of the treehouse It began to grow and soon went through the rock ceiling until a new tree-like structure grew within the Castle of The Two Sisters. The Young Nine rushed outside and into the Castle as they saw a Treehouse structure of the Tree.
"How did this happen?" Gallus exclaimed in surprise.
"You got me, Gallus." Korra said when a glow appeared and then the Tree of Harmony's spirit as Twilight appeared.
"Because of you." The spirit answered. "The Spirit of the Treehouse would have perished without your selfless deeds and caring. Whenever you seek solace, come here. Your friendship, and the friendship of future generations, will always be safe within these walls."
Then she disappeared and the door opened. That's when Chase, Nyx, Twilight, and Spike teleported and appeared.
"We felt a burst of magic all the way over at the school!" Twilight exclaimed. "Is everycreature okay?"
"Are you guys alright?" Chase asked with concern.
"A little confused, but definitely okay!" Silverstream assured as Chase and Twilight gasped upon seeing the Treehouse.
"Whoa, what the heck is that?" Chase asked in surprise and amazement.
"Where did this come from?" Twilight asked as well.
"We were gonna ask you guys the same thing." Smolder said as she rubbed the back of her head modestly with a smile.
"It looks like part of the Tree of Harmony." Spike said. "But how? I thought it was destroyed!"
"Was it really gone or not?" Nyx asked with a curious and interested look.
"It was." Ocellus said. "But when we used broken parts to build something new, this happened."
Twilight and Chase glanced at each other, then at the Treehouse before they smiled as they realized something.
"The Tree has always been good at surprises." Twilight said as she then flew up near it. "When Star Swirl planted the Tree's seed, he didn't know what it would grow into. I guess the Tree is still alive, changing and adapting to be whatever Equestria needs."
"And it looks like it must've found a new path for what you guys needed too." Chase added as he joined his wife.
"A cool place to hang out?" Gallus asked with a curious smile as he flew up next to the royal alicorn couple.
"Something tells me this is more than that." Twilight said as she and Chase landed. "It seems the Elements of Harmony may still be with us in their own way."
"Not only that, but it's seems as they it's starting to change its powers too for something good and new." Chase added with a smile.
"That's actually really reassuring." Spike said as he sighs in relief.
"But why did the Tree need our help to become something new?" Silverstream asked.
"My husband and I are not sure." Twilight admitted. "If we had to guess, we'd say your friendship is more powerful than you know."
"Oh, Yona know." Yona said. "Yona, Korra, Mako, and Bolin just need to remind friends."
"Yep." Korra said in agreement as she, Mako, and Bolin nodded.
"So, who's gonna give us the tour?" Spike asked.
The Young Nine try to think who as Chase chuckled in amusement and Twilight giggled.
"Why don't we all go together?" Twilight said with a calm smile.
"And see what's inside with each other as well." Chase added as well.
They all entered the Treehouse and explored.

Sorry for the long wait, I had some work to get down at my job. Also, today is my birthday so that means I'm 26 years old now.
Also, I know a lot of you are wondering if I'm gonna be writing MLP Generation 5, but the truth is... when I'm done with the Curse of The Demodragon King, I'm actually gonna be retiring this year because I need to follow my own destiny into adulthood. I'm sorry and I really wanted to write more, but I won't be able to since I need to focus on my work more often.
I love you guys so much and I really appreciate you giving me a lot of hope. Writing these stories for you guys was the best I could give for you. I'll miss you all.
We'll make this official, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: The Jiujitsu Pony, Season 9, Rainbow Roadtrip, and the Curse of The Demodragon King will be the last three stories I'll be writing for all of you. I know this comes as a blow, but I really had fun with you guys a lot.
I'll always honor your respect and friendship to me. I'll be back to continuing on though. I won't be retiring now though, I'll still keep on going.
