Chapter 7: She's All Yak
It was a beautiful day at the School of Friendship and a poster was placed on a wall which was a dancing flier as Twilight placed it on. Chase had his own stack of fliers as he placed one on the other wall.
"Well, honey. Looks like we're gonna be hosting the best dance at the school." Chase said excitedly to Twilight as his wife turned to him with a smile.
"We sure are, my dear." Twilight added just as excited as her husband.
"See?!" Silverstream said as she gasped. "New posters! We never had those underwater!"
Twilight and Chase turned to see the Young Nine approach them as they excitedly chattered.
"What is it, Headstallion Chase and Headmare Twilight?!" Korra excitedly asked her teachers. "Come on, you gotta tell us."
Chase chuckled at their excitement.
"Guys, settle down." Chase said as Twilight giggled. "We're gonna be hosting our best party ever."
"We won't keep you in suspense any longer." Twilight said, agreeing with her husband. "We're bringing one of Ponyville's oldest traditions to our school - the Fetlock Fete."
"The what-lock what?" Smolder asked curiously as she frowned while scratching the back of her head.
"It's a pony dance party!" Sandbar explained excitedly and happily. "They're the best!"
"I'm ready!" Ocellus said as she excitedly beamed.
"I'm in!" Korra beamed and then Ocellus changed into a pony.
"You don't need to do that, Ocellus." Twilight said as she giggled. "This year, the event's at school and open to everycreature. We're calling our dance the Amity Ball."
"Even better!" Ocellus beamed and changed back.
"Yona not know Amity Ball dance." Yona said. "Yona only know traditional dance of Yakyakistan. Go like this!"
She shows them the dance which is jumping around smashing and finishes with a hoof-stand.
"Ball dance like that?" Yona asked as Darkshine approached her with his smaller stack of fliers.
"Now, now, Yona. It's much more different than what you think." Darkshine said with an amused chuckle as Yona slipped and hit the floor.
"Darkshine's right." Sandbar said as he laughed. "It isn't just one dance. It's a whole night of them. Plus an awesome party!"
"And we'll have all the old Fetlock Fete traditions - the Pony Pal Contest, the lucky pot dinner. You'll love it! So, like this says, "get your pony pal and come along"." Twilight added as she showed a trophy and the flier.
"I know I'm ready with my pony pal. Care to share a dance with me, honey?" Chase asked with a smirk as he nuzzled Twilight lovingly, making her giggle and returned the favor.
"Anything for you, my sweetheart." Twilight replied back as Smolder, Gallus, and Silverstream watched the royal couple.
"Want to go?" Smolder asked Gallus. "I've got nothing better to do."
"You had me at "dinner"." Gallus replied back as he snapped his fingers.
Silverstream giggled as Smolder snapped her fingers.
"Now, who wants to help us hang more posters?" Twilight asked.
"Me!" Silverstream and Korra volunteered.
"Sure!" Ocellus beamed and then most of everyone began to head out, but then Yona looked at the trophy.
"Hey, Yona, want to be my pony pal?" Sandbar asked with a slight blush on his face. "We can enter the contest together."
"But Yona yak." Yona said. "Yona not pony."
"So?" Sandbar said, not seeing the problem.
"Pony, pony, more pony." Yona said, gesturing to the pony pairs on the trophy and poster.
"Aw, that's just a poster." Sandbar said, happily. "Come on! It'll be tons of fun together. Promise."
Yona then thought about it.
"Okay." Yona agreed. "Yona go with Sandbar."
"Great!" Sandbar beamed and shook her hoof. "I'll get the tickets. See you later!"
He leaves and laughed and rushed off.
"Yona not let Sandbar down! Yak best at being pony pal!" Yona said with a determined smile before she became concern. "But Yona not sure how if she not pony."
Then suddenly Yona was hit by Rarity's hanger.
"Ooh! Oh, terribly sorry, Yona." Rarity apologized and removed the cart off her. "All these dresses I'm sewing for the dance have me completely frazzled."
"Dress?" Yona asked in surprise as she got up and panicked. "Yona need dress for dance?! Yona have lots to learn about being best pony pal."
Yona fears this might be tougher than she thought.
*Main theme*
Later, Rarity was at her place sewing a dress and then knocking was heard and made Rarity yelp in surprise. The lower door opens as Yona peaked her head.
"Yona interrupting?" Yona said.
"Oh." Rarity replied back as she laughed before she gestured to the hole in the dress. "Well, not interrupting exactly. More like blocking the flow - uh, stopping me from what I'm doing - so, yes, interrupting!" She laughed nervously. "Now, what can I do for you, Yona?"
"Yona not know yak need special pony dress dance." Yona said entering the room. "Yona no can wear what Yona always wear?"
"Yona could - I mean, you could." Rarity said, setting her sewing glasses up. "But the Fetlock Fete or whatever Twilight is calling it - it's all about a tradition. There's a certain way to do everything at the dance."
"Yes! That what Yona want to learn!" Yona beamed. "How to do all the pony things, even if Yona has to wear dress."
"Well, uh, y-y-yes, if that's what you really want." Rarity said.
"Mm-hmm!" Yona nodded as Rarity measured her. "Yona be best pony pal for Sandbar!"
"In that case, at an elegant affair like a pony dance, one must converse in a sophisticated fashion." Rarity said and brought out a bowl of Brussels Sprouts. "Talking with Brussels Sprouts in your mouth helps you to learn to ar-ti-cu-late." She added while elocuting. "Take a mouthful, and repeat after me."
Rarity then stuffs three Brussels Sprouts in Yona's mouth.
"How kind of you to ask me to tea." Rarity said elocuting.

"May I offer you a glass of punch?" Rarity said elocuting.

"The weather is quite agreeable today."

Then Yona chews the Brussels Sprouts and swallows them before she belches.
"Yona like Brussels Sprouts!" Yona beamed.
"Let's move on." Rarity said.
(Scene changes)
Soon enough, they went to dress picking.
"We will need to do something about your hairstyle." Rarity said. "But first, let's find the right dress!"
And Rarity brought some dresses over.
"Now, purple taffeta, frosted chiffon..." Rarity looks through them and then gasped. "Gold brocade! One of my favorites!"
"Yona like brown." Yona said.
"Blech... Earth tones." Rarity said, a bit disgusted. "They're so..." She nervously laughed. "...earthy, aren't they? Well, considering Antonio's Element power is Earth and I will not insult that magical aura. Don't worry. We shall find something to make you stand you."
"Yona not want to stand out." Yona said. "Yona want to fit in."
"Quite." Rarity said as she sighed and brought some color tabs of green and purple. "And by the time we're through, it'll be like you've been going to pony dances your whole life."
[Rarity - She gives Yona her dress for the dance that had a green color and twirls away from the young yak on her hind legs, posing with a confident look]

"Rarity!" Rarity said as she excitedly beamed.
"Oh, Yona see!" Yona said.
"When I'm finished with you." Rarity said.
[Rarity - She starts to put makeup on Yona, making her smile contently. The screen moves to Yona's left ear as Rarity pops out of it and slides down the young yak's hair, landing beside a group of elite ponies]

[Rarity - They scatter to show Rarity and Yona together before the unicorn mare has a row of purple dresses except one that looks a little pale. She taps on it to make it bright purple as Yona pops out excitedly. Rarity begins to make Yona's hair look just like hers, but a little different]

[Rarity - Then Rarity begins to change Yona's style by giving her a makeup on her face, sharpens her horns, cuts some of her fur down and giving her a good washdown, even if she tried her best. Then by three times, Rarity spins Yona, who was sitting on a chair, around while changing her hairstyle from a curly brown type, a light blue diagonal style, to an orangish red color, a pink color, even trying Twilight's style which it didn't work, and finally changes to a white color that looked familiar. It turns out to be Opalescence as the cat jumps off Yona offscreen]
Here's what we'll do:

[Rarity - Then Yona stands in front of a mirror as Rarity displays it from behind for the young yak to see herself as a mare pony, which Yona smiled at the sight. The screen switches the side to show Yona's pony form while she was looking at her yak form from the mirror and they practiced shaking their hooves with each other. Then an accomplishment symbol with two stores appeared with Rarity in the center as she winked confidently]

[Rarity - Outside of the School of Friendship, Sandbar, Gallus, Silverstream, and Smolder were practicing for the dance. It was then they noticed Yona had arrived wearing a fedora hat with a purple bow on it and she was carrying a cane]

[Yona - Then the two start to do some dancing practice with Rarity teaching Yona. It was a little hard at first, but with a light stomp and click of their hind hooves, Yona managed to get it right]

[Rarity and Yona - Rarity did a twirl on her hind legs with Yona doing the same, but then the young yak lost balance]
Fit... right... in!
Then Yona slipped and tumbled down a staircase as Opalescence landed on her head before she leaves.
"I almost forgot!" Rarity said as she gasped in realization. "The most important part of the ball!"
"Oh." Yona scoffed and laughed. "Yona already have pony pal."
Oh, not that, darling." Rarity said. "The dancing! And I know precisely who can help!"
She then winked and they headed off.
(Scene changes)
They soon met with Rainbow, Jade, Trini, Sokka, Fluttershy and Angel in the School of Friendship's gym.
"Uh... Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy good at dancing?" Yona frowned.
"Don't be so surprised." Rainbow said, flying over to them. "I'm awesome at everything! Except for baking."
She thinks back to the Yakity-Sax events trying to cheer Pinkie up.
"Wouldn't be a surprise there." Sokka muttered as Rainbow shot him a glare.
"Now, honey. There's no need to blame Rainbow Dash for that." Fluttershy said before she turns to Yona and explained. "There are 2 traditional dances that everypony does at the Fete. After a few days of practicing with us, you'll know them both."
"It's all about feeling the rhythm of your heart when you dance to the music. With a little practice, you will do just fine with it Yona." Jade added with a smile.
"And fit right in!" Yona beamed.
"Absolutely." Rarity said. "We'll start with the slow dance, the Pony Cotillion. That's Fluttershy specialty."
"Oh, I wouldn't say specialty." Fluttershy laughed nervously, hiding her blush. "It's just fun."
"Oh come on, honey. You know how much you love it when we both do it together." Sokka said to Fluttershy with a smile as his wife giggled to herself and the pegasus couple shared a loving nuzzle.
"Here, Yona. I made you a chart." Fluttershy said as she brought Yona into the center of the gym with Angel bringing over a chart.
"Lucky for you, Angel managed to bring it here." Sokka added as Angel unrolls the chart of dancing steps.
"All you have to do is follow these dance steps." Fluttershy explained. "You'll learn them in no time."
Fluttershy turns to Angel and nods as he turns on a recorder as it plays.
"Now, just start walking." Fluttershy said.
"And you'll get it there." Trini added.
Yona got on the chart, and Fluttershy guides her through the dance steps.
"Step on whatever color I name." Fluttershy instructed. "Let's begin. Blue, red, step ahead. Green, black, now step back." She went along with the rhythm. "Now you try."
"Blue, red, step- ah, oh!" Yona said as she struggled to get the steps right. "No. Um, Yona start over. Blue, red, green, black, yak step back?"
"Good!" Fluttershy said before she continued to dance practice. "Now, black, green, red, and blue." She went in the rhythm. "Red, black, hold 1 and 2. Red, blue, red once more. Green, black, blue, red, 3 and 4."
Yona struggles through the steps, and then yelps and got her legs tangled.
"Yona feel like she has four front feet!" Yona yelped when she fell and hits the floor.
Then Angel appeared and did a dance move as Rarity sighed while Sokka, Jade, and Trini hummed with concern.
"Ooh. Um, maybe we should try this again later." Fluttershy suggested.
"Don't worry, Yona." Rainbow assured the young yak and flew over her. "That was the hard one. Mine's way easier."
Rainbow turns to Angel and winks as he goes over to the record and flips over the album. It starts playing an uptembo pop.
"A little dance called the Pony Prance!" Rainbow said. "The key to this one is speed!"
Then Rainbow flew around and did a dance move.
"Uh, Rainbow. Maybe that might not be the best idea for Yona." Jade said to Rainbow with concern, but Rainbow didn't hear her.
"Come on, Yona, try it!" Rainbow said. "Just get with the flow and let yourself go!"
Soon Yona started dancing as she was moving around the room and knocking things over.
"Oh, my!" Rarity said.
"Uh oh!" Sokka exclaimed as he grabbed a vase just in time with his forehooves and Yona even accidentally hits the record.
"Whoa, there!" Rainbow said as she flew up avoiding getting ran over by Yona and she passed by.
"Alright, Yona! You can stop now." Jade said as Yona stops and pants catching her breath.
"YONA LIKE TO FLOW AND GO!" Yona yelled with a wide smile as a ring hanging from the ceiling fell and hits the floor.
"Told you." Jade said bluntly to Rainbow with a flat look as the pegasus mare glared at her annoyingly.
Trini sighed.
"Well, one things for sure. If Chase sees this mess, he's gonna kill us." Trini said with a worried look, causing the others to flinch nervously.
"Maybe we should get this gym cleaned up, pronto." Sokka said quickly as the others nodded in agreement.
(Scene changes)
Later, Rarity brought Yona to Sweet Apple Acres at they met up with Applejack, Clay, and Pinkie.
"Welcome to Sweet Apple Acres, Yona." Applejack said. "Rarity tells us you need some help gettin' ready for the big dance."
"And we take it you need all of us to help fit right in, right?" Clay added with a smile.
"Some". Ha! Indeed." Rarity said. "And we only have a few more days."
"Well, you've come to the right place." Pinkie said. "Because if you asked me what my favorite part of the dance is, I'd say everything about the dance! But especially... this!" She brought out a cupcake bucket hooked to the tip of her mane. "The Fetlock lucky pot dinner!"
"It's part of the Ponyville dance tradition." Applejack said. "Everypony brings a dish to share, and we swap 'em without knowin' whose is whose."She brought out an apple bucket and switches with Pinkie. "Although my lucky pot probably gives me away."
She laughed as Clay smirked at his wife.
"Don't be too modest, honey. I think you did perfect." Clay said as he gave Applejack a kiss on the cheek as she smiled at him.
"You can cook anything you want!" Pinkie said. "Like, can I suggest, oh, I don't know, maybe... CUPCAKES?!"
Pinkie couldn't resist getting into Yona's face, making her flinch in surprise.
"Uh, I already told Yona a little bit about the tradition." Rarity said as Pinkie joins her, Clay, and Applejack. Then she added the last part with a nervous expression with a smile. "She's even brought her own lucky... bucket."
"Yak buckets are best buckets." Yona said. "Yona think make traditional yak dish - tree root stew!"
She then brought a bucket of tree root stew. Yona sets it down as Clay, Pinkie, and Applejack had grimace looks.
"Um, right." Clay said with a nervous chuckle. "So, how does your meal taste like?"
"Extra fiber." Yona replied back to Clay. "Mmmm. Ponies like?"
"Oh, no thanks. I'm good!" Clay said nervously.
"Hmm, I'm not sure." Pinkie said. "So, just in case, let's get baking?"
Then Pinkie hops inside with Yona and Rarity following behind her. Clay and Applejack quickly walk off with the Earth Pony mare carrying the tree root stew.
(Scene changes)
Inside, Pinkie brought some ingredients out.
"Flour, milk, sugar, butter, icing." Pinkie said quickly. "Then we mix, and we beat, and we pour into pans." She pours the batter into a pan and placed the tray in the oven. "We bake..."
She brought out the tray with cupcakes once done.
"And now you try it!" Pinkie said as she brought out a bowl.
Yona then grabs a bag of flour, and rips it with her teeth as it lands in the bowl. And then Yona let out a large sneeze as the flour flies everywhere and it clears as Yona's face was white and even Pinkie was completely white.
"Well, that's one way to mix it." Pinkie said.
"Let's try somethin' simpler." Applejack suggested entering inside with Clay by his wife's side as they each had a bucket of apples and they each placed an apple on the table. "I'm sure we sure can do somethin' with these."
Then Yona lifts her hoof up, and then slams it on top of the apple smashing it. Applejack clears her face from the smashed apple with Clay wiping some of the pieces off himself.
"O-kay. Applesauce it is." Applejack said as Clay sighed with a shake of his head and Rarity smacked herself.
(Scene changes)
Back in the gym, Fluttershy and Sokka were helping Yona doing some more dance practice while Rarity was busy fixing Yona's dress for the party.
"Blue, red, green… whoa!" Yona yelped from almost losing her footing when Sokka and Fluttershy managed to catch her. She smiled at the pegasus couple sheepishly before she continues her dance practice. "Blue…"
(Scene changes)
Right at Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack and Clay dumped some apples out of their buckets into the apple press as Big Mac was handling the machine with Granny filling the cider with barrels.
The Earth Pony couple went over to Yona, who was in an apple juicer as she was smashing her own apples. Clay and Applejack gathered enough sauce as well.
(Scene changes)
At Rarity's boutique, she was polishing one of Yona's forehooves with green gloss. Eager to lick it as if it was candy, Yona tried to, only for Rarity to stop her with a stern look as the young yak glared at her annoyingly. Next they tried to help Yona fit into her dress, only for her to rip it apart as Rarity stunned by the sight.
(Scene changes)
In Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie was helping Yona on trying to back again. As the pink pony did a quick stir after pouring in some flour, Yona was about to lick her spoon when she heard a ding. The young yak turned to see a dozen cupcakes done by Pinkie.
(Scene changes)
Back at Rarity's place, Yona then tried to speak more pony like with a few brussel sprouts in her mouth.
"How kind of you to ask me to tea." Yona said while practicing with her mouth full.

At the Ponyville Spa, two spa ponies were giving Yona a washdown which was easier said than done while they wore radiation suits.

At the gym, Rainbow was equipped with a hockey mask as well as a glove while making sure Yona wouldn't go off course again. This time, Yona was prepared as she began dancing in a hopping way with Rainbow Dash observing her.
(Scene changes)
Back at Rarity's Boutique, Yona chewed on some brussel sprouts while conversing with a pony manikin while Rarity was working her dress with a determined look.
"How kind of you to ask me to tea." Yona said with her mouth less full.
(Scene changes)
Finally, Yona was back in the gym and doing much more practice on her dance moves with Fluttershy and Sokka watching with proud smiles on their faces. Rainbow couldn't agree more as she was proud of Yona too.
(Scene changes)
A few days later after helping Yona with dancing and everything else, the seven members of the Mane Sixteen were asleep at Rarity's place as Yona had finally got down the dance moves.
"Blue, red, step ahead." Yona said, rhythmically and turned to a minor. "How kind of..." She said, elocuting. "Green, black, Yona step back." ...to ask Yona to yea." She turned to the minor again. "Black, green, red, and blue. Red, black hold one and two. Red, blue, red once more. Green, black, blue, red, three and four!"
Rarity soon woke up as she rubs her eyes and saw Yona. She shakes Rainbow, Clay, and Applejack up as Sokka, Fluttershy and Pinkie woke up before they all saw her.
"Look!" Rainbow said as she excitedly beamed. "She's dancing!"
"How 'bout that?" Applejack said, amazed. "And she's good!"
"Looks like she's finally getting the hang of it." Clay added with a proud smile with Sokka nodding in agreement.
"Yona, if someone at the part tells you they're thirsty, you say..." Rarity said testing Yona.
"May Yona- um... May I offer you a cup of punch?" Yona said elocuting.
"By Celestia, I think she's got it!" Rarity beamed.
"I can't believe it!" Sokka said in amazement.
"She's really got it!" Pinkie shouted excitedly while she beamed.
"Yona, you did it!" Applejack beamed too.
"You dance great!" Rainbow beamed as well.
"And are so well spoken!" Fluttershy happily said.
"You'll be the hit of the ball!" Pinkie beamed.
[Rarity - She pokes behind Yona, who smiles at the mirror. She gives Yona a gentle rub on her forehead, making her smile before joined hooves with each other]
You've mastered so many pony ways
And grown a lot in the past few days
You've shown a turn that has earned our praise
[Yona - She stood on her hind legs with a forehoof in the air]
And now I fit right…

In the dojo of the school, Jade and Trini had told Chase everything. Sunray and Antonio were with them as well.
"And you're sure that the others were trying to make Yona fit right in?" Chase said, wanting things to clear up.
"Yeah. And even though I wanted to help Yona, I'm starting to think this might be the opposite of helping her." Jade replied with a concerned look on her face.
"Chase, I don't think having the girls make her feel like a pony was the best idea. It might just make her feel embarrassed in front of the whole school." Trini said with worry in her voice.
At this point, Chase begins to think of something.
"So what do we do then? We can't just do nothing." Sunray said, eager to help Yona be herself.
"Slow down, Sunray. Let's think before we react." Chase instructed his younger brother firmly. "The dance is in a few hours so we'll just have to try and show Yona how much easier it is to be herself. But for now, let's just go to the party and make sure that everything will be fine."
Seeing that he was right, his family nodded in agreement.
"Okay, but this had better work." Sunray said to his leader, not wanting everything to go wrong.
(Scene changes)
Later that night, at the School of Friendship as the students have gathered for the Fetlock Fete.
"Hello, everycreature!" Spike greeted the whole school with a microphone and DJ outfit and dragon head. "I'm your DJ, Scales-n-Tail, spinning your favorite tunes all long! So welcome to the Fetlock Fete- I mean, the Amity Ball!"
The students cheered as Clay and Applejack finished polishing the trophy.
Watching the dance on the far side, Chase and Twilight watched the students dance to the music with smiles on their faces.
"Well, honey. Looks like we've done it again." Chase said with a smile as Twilight turned to her husband.
"I couldn't have done it without you, Chase." Twilight said with a smile. "Tonight is gonna be a good night for all of us."
Chase then smirked while extending a hoof to his wife.
"And since we have a party here, would you be willing to share a dance with me, Twilight Sparkle?" Chase asked as Twilight giggled.
"I wouldn't have any other way, Chase Young." Twilight said, accepting his hoof before the alicorn couple flew to join the party.
Fluttershy and Sokka shared a dance together as they did it while hovering in the air. Clay and Applejack shared a dance together as well.
Near the entrance, the other Young Nine members were hanging with each other.
"I'm just glad I'm here with you guys." Gallus said. "Least I'm not the only non-pony in the crowd."
"You're still not worried about that, are you?" Sandbar asked as he turns to them. "Like Headmare Twilight said, this is a dance for everycreature. There's no pony pressure."
Gallus, Ocellus and Smolder glanced at each other before they giggled.
"You should've told Yona that." Ocellus said.
"Uh, what do you mean?" Sandbar asked with a curious look.
"Didn't you hear?" Silverstream asked with a plate of cupcakes and chips. "Our teachers have been helping her get ready for the dance! She's been taking lessons."
She then placed a chip in her mouth and raised her brows teasingly.
"She's gone full pony for the dance." Smolder added as she smirked.
"I also think you might be in for a surprise when she gets here." Korra said with a teasing smile.
"All for you." Gallus said, pulling Sandbar's bow-tie and letting go as Sandbar drops back a bit.
"For me? Why?" Sandbar asked while fixing himself.
"You're about to get your answer." Mako replied back with a smirk.
"How kind of you to ask me to this soiree, Sandbar." Said an elocuting voice as Sandbar looks behind him and was in for a shock.
He saw Yona in a green dress with some make up, a purple wig, and with a lucky pot.
"Uhh..." Gallus, Ocellus, Silverstream, and Smolder said as they frowned.
"What?" Smolder asked as she frowned.
"Yona?" Mako said in shock.
"You look so weird!" Silverstream said.
"I... don't think that's what I had in mind." Korra said.
"Yona?!" Sandbar exclaimed in surprise by what he was seeing.
"Quite. Oh, I do hope I make a good pony pal for you." Yona said elocuting.
"Uh, of course you do." Sandbar said as the others were urging themselves from laughing. "But, Yona, you didn't need to do any of... this."
"And why are you talking so funny?" Smolder asked.
"I'm guessing Rarity helped you the most, huh?" Mako said as Korra and Bolin nodded in agreement with him.
"I am not "talking funny"." Yona elocuting protested. "I'm fitting in."
"Could've fooled me." Gallus said.
"Well, it doesn't look too bad." Bolin awkwardly said and then Rarity appeared.
"Yona!" Rarity said as she beamed. "You look absolutely scrumptious, darling. Uh, why don't I get that for you?"
Rarity brought Yona's pot to the table with the other lucky pots.
"You made a lucky pot?" Sandbar asked while he frowned.
"Precisely like ponies prepare!" Yona said elocuting.
"It's pretty." Korra said, looking at it and then a microphone feedback was heard as they turned to Twilight in the air with Chase hovering beside his wife.
"Welcome, everycreature, to our school's 1st annual Amity Ball!" Twilight announced. "For those of you who've never attended a Fetlock Fete, we can't wait to show you some of our fun traditions on this special night!"
And the students cheered.
"So, Spike..." Twilight said as she and Chase flew over to Spike.
"If you'd care to do the honors…" Chase added with a smirk.
"Uh, Scales-n-Tail?" Spike asked as he smirked.
"Uh, right. Scales-n-Tail." Twilight said and turns to the crowd. "Let's get this party started!"
Then she hands Spike the microphone.
"Oh, yeah, party ponies!" Spike greeted to the students cooly. "It's time to raise the roof and stomp your hoof for the traditional first dance of the night, the Pony Cotillion!"
And then Spike plays the record as ponies started dancing.
"Ah! Yona know this one!" Yona beamed.
"You do?" Sandbar asked as he frowned and was a bit surprised.
"Indeed!" Yona said elocuting. "Green, black, then step back." She did the moves. "Shall we?"
She offered her hoof and Sandbar took as they made their way.
Sokka, Clay, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow, Pinkie and Applejack watched as they walked by and watched as they danced. Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio, however, were watching this with concern.
"You still think it was a good idea for them to dance together?" Sunray asked Chase with concern. "Maybe we should stop Yona before she does get humiliated."
"We don't wanna rush this, Sunray. Best we keep this to ourselves." Chase said calmly. "For now, let's just enjoy the party while we still can."
"Well, if we're all up for it, then I'm gonna get some food!" Antonio said excitedly as he zipped over to the dinner table with his family watching him while smirking.
Back with Yona and Sandbar, they were still dancing together
"Wow!" Sandbar said as he chuckled, amazed. "How did you learn this?"
"I had good teachers." Yona said elocuting before glanced to Rainbow, Rarity, Pinkie, Sokka, Fluttershy, Clay, and Applejack as she winked.
Yona continues dancing before she placed a hoof on her dress, trips, and stumbles back hitting the table.
Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio saw this.
"Oh no." Chase said as the bowl of punch was tossed up, but luckily it landed on Yona's head without spilling.
"Yona!" Sandbar gasped. "Are you alright?"
"Yona never practice dance with dress on." Yona said before she noticed Chase and his team looking at her with concern as she exacting holds a cup up. "Uh... I mean, may I offer you a cup of punch?"
She tips her head as the punch pours into the cup.
"Time to shake things up a little!" Spike announced. "That's right, everycreature! It's the Pony Prance!"
Then Spike sets the music on and Yona sets the punch bowl back on the table.
"Uh, maybe we should sit this one out." Sandbar said.
"No!" Yona protested elocuting. "I do so love the Pony Prance!"
Then Yona pulls Sandbar to the dance floor.
The ponies danced enjoying themselves and as Yona danced, the wig suddenly got loosen before she was blinded. Yona tries to shake if off to see and accidentally knocks Sandbar into some ponies to the floor as Twilight and Chase rushed to them.
Yona was suddenly running around trying to get the wig off and crashed into the table and Rainbow caught the punch bowl. Soon the entire room was shaking from Yona's struggles, and the Young Nine quickly rushed to Yona to help.
"It's okay, Yona!" Sandbar said.
"Just stop bouncing!" Smolder said.
"We got you!" Gallus said.
"Yona, hold still!" Korra said.
But Yona continues trying to shake the wig off as her braids smacked them.
"Wig... come... off!" Yona said running and shaking her head to get it off.
Suddenly Yona finally gets the wig off, but then she gasped and saw she was running towards the lucky pot table. She quickly skids to a stop but crashed into the table as food was spent flying and hits the Young Nine. Chase and Twilight each quickly used a magic shield before it hits anyone else.
Soon Chase and Twilight set their shields down.
"Well, that was... food spoiling." Bolin said, clearing his face.
"What a calamitous yak-ccident!" Rarity said and they turned to Yona on the floor still.
"Yona!" Sandbar shouted as he rushed to her.
"What happened?!" Ocellus exclaimed.
"Are you all right?" Silverstream asked.
"Are you hurt?" Korra asked and then Yona turns to them crying.
"No!" Yona shouted as she bawled. "Yona not all right! Yona want to be alone!"
Yona runs off and leaves the school crying as Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio watched her running away as the banner came loose, falling onto the floor. Then they turned to Rarity, Rainbow, Sokka, Clay, Applejack, Pinkie, and Fluttershy, who looked guilty.
"Chase, we don't know where to start." Sokka said with concern as Sandbar ran out to follow Yona.
"We'll talk later. Right now, we're gonna find Yona." Chase said as he, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio followed behind Sandbar, who didn't notice.
(Scene changes)
Meanwhile, Yona was now in the Treehouse of Harmony feeling sad with only a bird nearby to keep her company.
[Yona]

Yona sing sad song...
Sad Yona...
The bird tweeted and it flew off.
"Yona no blame bird." Yona said with a miserable look. "Yona no want to be around Yona either."
[Yona]
Yona sad...
Yona sing sad song...
"Yona?" Sandbar's voice called out.
Yona saw Sandbar as she gasped in panic and immediately ducked just as Sandbar appeared by her.
"How Sandbar find Yona?" Yona asked.
"I know you pretty well by now." Sandbar said. "I figured you'd come here. Besides, it's where I'd go if something like that happened to me."
"Sandbar mean something awful and embarrassing." Yona said sadly. "So awful, Yona cannot come down from treehouse ever!"
Then in an instant, Yona quickly ties herself to a beam.
"Will Sandbar bring food and water?" Yona asked.
"You know, it really wasn't that bad." Sandbar said. "I don't think anycreature hardly even noticed."
It was enough for Yona to give him a look.
"Well, maybe one or two didn't." Sandbar said as he scratched the back of his head. "If they happened to be in Canterlot for the day. But anyway, it's all over now, so... will you come back to the dance with me?"
Then Yona sadly slumps lose from the ropes and to the ground.
"Yona disappoint Sandbar." Yona sadly said. "Yona not make very good pony."
"Why would you think you disappointed me?" Sandbar asked. "And who said anything about having to be a good pony?"
"Yona just want to do all the right pony things and fit in at dance!" Yona said. "Then maybe Sandbar and Yona win best pony pals contest. Instead, Yona win worst pony ever."
Yona slams her head against a beam.
"That's not true." Sandbar denied.
"Really?" Yona asked as she turns back to him. "Sandbar, name two ponies worse than Yona."
"Cozy Glow and Sombra." Sandbar simply answered and then Yona realized he was right.
"Okay, Sandbar right." Yona chuckled. "They worse."
"Yona, it doesn't really matter if you're a great pony or a horrible pony." Sandbar said. "You're the best Yona I know. That's why I asked you to the dance. Besides, Headstallion Chase would say it doesn't matter what you have to be. All you have to do is just to be yourself."
"Really?" Yona asked, blushing.
"I never wanted you to be anything other than what you are." Sandbar said. "My friend, Yona, the yak."
Then Yona hugs him and a shooting star flashed across the night sky.
"So, what do you say?" Sandbar asked. "Let's go back to the dance?"
Yona smiled.
"Looks like we came in at a bad time?" A voice asked behind Yona and Sandbar, who's eyes widen in surprise before they turned to see Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio standing behind them with smiles.
"Headstallion Chase!" Yona said in surprise before she became guilty. "Yona sorry for ruining dance. Yona not know what she was thinking."
"Yona, it's fine. You've got nothing to be ashamed of. We know that your teachers were trying to help you, but I guess they did it the wrong way though." Chase said with an honest look before he added the last part with a smirk.
The others laughed at that before they settle down a bit as Yona turned to the Elite Ninja with a sad look on her face.
"Yona wish Elite Ninja helped yak instead of professors though." Yona said sadly as Sandbar, Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio gave her a gentle smile.
"Don't worry about it, Yona. We think you're good at being the way you are. As a matter of fact, there's no reason for us to change your character." Jade said as she approached Yona and placed a hoof on her shoulder with a smile, which the young yak gave her a hug in return.
"So what do you say we all go back to the school?" Chase asked the group with a smile as they smiled back in response.
(Scene changes)
Meanwhile in the School of Friendship, everyone was mainly cleaning up the mess when the doors were opening as they saw Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, Antonio, Yona, and Sandbar. But Yona still felt ashamed of what happened.
"Don't worry." Sandbar said hushed. "We're with you."
"We all are." Gallus said as the Young Nine joined them and they hug each other.
"Yona! Are you all right?" Pinkie asked as the six members of the Mane Sixteen approached them.
"We were so worried when you disappeared like that." Fluttershy said with a relief but concern look.
"Yona fine, but... Yona sorry." Yona apologized. "Not mean to make such a mess and ruin the pony dance."
"It's not your fault, sugercube." Applejack assured.
"It's the opposite." Rainbow said. "If anything, we should be apologizing."
"We never meant to make you feel embarrassed like that." Clay added as Sokka nodded in agreement with a sad look on his face.
"I thought we were just teaching you how to have fun at the dance." Pinkie said.
"We never meant to try to turn you into something you're not." Rarity said.
"Is okay." Yona said. "Friends help Yona feel better." She gestured to Sandbar, Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio.
"And that's why we're giving you this." Twilight said as she holds out the trophy as one pony was brown and shaped into a yak.
"Huh?" Sandbar and Yona asked curiously as they frowned when the Earth Pony stallion realized what it was.
"No way!" Sandbar said excitedly as he beamed. "The Pony Pal prize!"
"From now on, it's the annual Amity Ball Award for Friendship!" Twilight announced.
"No pony-ness required." Applejack said.
"We all decided you and Yona totally earned this." Rainbow said.
Rainbow hands the trophy to them, and hooks it to Yona's right horn.
"Your actions tonight exemplify the true meaning of friendship." Rarity said, placing the trophy down.
"Congratulations, you two!" Twilight said and the students cheered.
Chase then approached Pinkie, Sokka, Clay, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow, and Rarity with a firm look as the six looked ashamed.
"Listen, Chase. We're sorry for doing this. We only wanted to let Yona try and fit in, but I guess all of this was just silly for us to do something crazy." Rainbow said on behalf of herself and the others as Chase looked at them firmly before he smiled.
"Don't worry about it. What you guys did was messed up a bit. But now that you've learned that just because you can't change a creature's personallity to be like one of us doesn't mean you don't need to show off to be yourself." Chase said as the others smiled in agreement.
"Good words, my love." Twilight said as she nuzzled Chase lovingly as her husband hugged her back in reply.
"Yona! I'm glad your back!" Spike said, appearing from the crowd and fixing his helmet. "Everypony wants to learn that crazy dance you did!"
"Well, what do you all say, guys? Shall we give it a shot?" Chase asked and the students nodded.
"Yak dance?" Yona said, surprised. "Is easy! Yona teach... if everycreature want to learn?"
"It would be an honor." Rarity said and Spike got the DJ station.
"You asked for it, and DJ Scales-n-Tail is gonna deliver!" Spike announced. "Everycreature join Yona for... the Yakyakistan Stomp!"
Soon the record started playing a fast paced Middle Eastern music as Yona started stomp dancing and Sandbar joins her.
And within no time, everyone started joining them and stomp danced.
